Matthew Vaughn gave Kingsman cast altitude sickness

OHMYGOSSIP — Matthew Vaughn gave cast and crew of ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ altitude sickness while shooting on location for the movie.
The director has returned at the helm for the sequel to 2014 spy comedy ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’, and he admitted an adrenaline fueled mountain top ski gondola sequence caused some problems with many people having to leave the filming.
Speaking about the challenges of filming, he told Vulture: “The [ski] gondola sequence was hard. We went out in the mountains and a lot of people had altitude sickness, so that was difficult making it with half the crew who couldn’t stay up there … We all went to the top of the mountain to shoot it and after about 20 minutes half the crew went back down. I’m lucky I didn’t get it, but half the crew was like, ‘Oh my God,’ and then I got poor Taron and [co-star] Pedro [Pascal] and I’m, saying ‘Run now, run left, run there.’
“They’re like, ‘Dude, we can’t breathe, let alone run, and we’ve got ski boots on!’ I’m like, ‘Ah, just do it.’ But yeah, it was tricky and it was cold, and the weather wasn’t great, and then we’d get windows of sunshine and shoot again. But it was beautiful.”
The filmmaker – who admitted some people who’ve seen the film since its premiere in London on September 18 actually thought the sequence was shot with CG effects – also delved into the issues of making a sequel.
Vaughn – who is married to supermodel Claudia Schiffer – added: “What’s hard about making a sequel is people see a sequel expecting to see what they liked in the first film, but if you do too much of what they liked in the first film, you’re boring and unoriginal and repetitive. It’s a balancing act, so that was havrd.”
‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ is at cinemas now, and features an all-star ensemble cast including Colin Firth, Juianne Moore, Taron Egerton, Mark Strong, Halle Berry, Channing Tatum and Sir Elton John.

Eddie Redmayne for Oliver musical movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Eddie Redmayne is gearing up to play Fagin in a new movie version of ‘Oliver’.
The ‘Theory of Everything’ star is reportedly being lined up to play the villain in a film version of the popular musical after showing off his singing in movie musical ‘Les Misérables’.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Eddie has always wanted to play the part of Fagin. It’s a role that has been close to him since he was a child so this is a great opportunity and he’s keen.
“He was in the stage production of Oliver! directed by Sam Mendes when he was ten but didn’t get to be part of the gang and he has never given up on that dream.
“Eddie thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of singing live during filming for ‘Les Misérables’ and is excited at the prospect of doing it all over again in this.”
The film is being produced by Sir Cameron Mackintosh and Working Title Films, who also worked on ‘Les Misérables’.
Adele is also reportedly one of the people being considered to play the lovable Nancy in the movie.
Eddie had previously expressed a desire to be part of the “gang” in ‘Oliver’ when he was growing up.
Speaking in 2015, he said: “If you were 11 years old and wanted to be an actor I feel like everyone in England at some point played someone in Oliver! and wanted to be in the gang. I only got the part as workhouse boy No43 but I did an audition and I still remember the dance.”

Joel Dommett to co-host I’m A Celeb spin-off

OHMYGOSSIP — Joel Dommett will co-host the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ spin-off show ‘Extra Camp’ alongside Scarlett Moffatt.
The 31-year-old comedian was the runner-up of the ITV reality show when he took part last year, and it has now been revealed he will join the former Queen of the jungle to host the show’s spin-off series.
A TV source told The Sun newspaper: “Show bosses wanted to refresh the format and give it a new lease of life. They feel Scarlett and Joel have great on-screen chemistry and they’re hoping the ratings will reflect that. They’re a naturally funny pair together so the risk should pay off.”
Whilst a spokesperson for the show added: “We will announce our 2017 presenting line up in due course.”
The news comes after the ITV2 spin-off’s former presenter Stacey Solomon was axed from the show, whilst the presenting future of her boyfriend and co-host Joe Swash remained up in the air.
A source said recently: “Stacey and Joe are lovely people and great presenters, and everyone involved was really happy with what they did.
“But the thinking this time around is to have a complete revamp in the format and Stacey unfortunately don’t quite fit into that.
“Joe may still have a role but that hasn’t been decided, but everyone involved will miss working with Stacey, and Joe if he leaves, because they’re great fun.”
When the show returns this year, fans could be faced with a whole new line-up if Joe has also leaves the hosting team, as this year also saw bosses give Vicky Pattison and Chris Ramsey the boot.
A source said at the time: “Bosses love the ‘Extra Camp’ format and think it’s a great part of the whole ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ package, but they felt it could do with a shake-up.
“Obviously Ant and Dec are always going to be the hosts of the main show, but producers have tended to tinker around with ‘Extra Camp’, changing hosts, tweaking the format and even changing the name.”

He said: “Very sad Benidorm news guys. The wonderful Bobby Knutt has passed away suddenly aged 71. Sending our Beni love to his family.”

Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen in talks’ to film wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen are in “talks” to film their wedding.
The former ‘Love Island’ couple – who shot to fame last year after they took part in the romantic reality TV show – have been speaking to production companies about allowing the cameras to capture the run-up to their big day and the ceremony itself.
Writing in her column for new! magazine, she said: “I can’t say too much but Alex and I are in talks to film the lead up to our wedding and the actual day.
“Fingers crossed it happens. I wasn’t sure at first if I wanted it to be filmed, but it would be nice to watch it back in years to come.”
However, the 23-year-old beauty still has loads to organise in time for their nuptials.
She explained: “I’m in full wedding planning mode now. I got scared because it’s now exactly a year away. I’m currently choosing the flowers, a photographer and pianist – but my to-do list just doesn’t seem to be going down.
“Sigh! Alex doesn’t have sole responsibility of any job – apart from organising the suits. he’s just got to turn up and look pretty!”
And the couple – who got engaged at the end of last year – haven’t had time to plan their engagement party but are keen to throw a bash next year before they get hitched.
Olivia said: “I received an invitation to Vicky Pattison and her fiance John Noble’s engagement party last week – and it made me realise that we’ve left it to organise ours. Vicky’s made me get my bum into action, so we’re now going to have our own party next spring, because the venue we want in London is outdoors and weather dependent. It’ll be a dinner with close friends and family, then afterwards it’ll turn into a party.”
Olivia has also decided to start re-jigging her fitness and skin regime in order to look the best she can when she walks down the aisle next September.
She added: “I’ve also started thinking about a skin and fitness regime, but I’m not going to get a personal trainer. Alex knows what he’ doing in the gym, so we’re going to go together and really push ourselves for four months before the date!”

Ant and Dec named favourite work couple

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant and Dec have been named the UK’s favourite work couple.
The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ hosts – who have worked together since meeting on TV show ‘Byker Grove’ in 1988 – have topped a new survey with 31 per cent of the vote, beating out ‘This Morning’ co-hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby into second place, and comedy duo and former ‘Great British Bake Off’ presenters Mel and Sue into third.
Frequent movie collaborators Simon Pegg and Nick Frost made it into fourth place, while veteran actors Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen rounded out the top five.
The survey was commissioned by hotel chain Premier Inn and found the nation as a whole now spends more time per year with work colleagues than best friends, parents, siblings and even partners, with two thirds of Brits spending time with their workmates regularly in evenings and weekends.
A quarter have introduced colleagues to their ‘real’ friends, and 40 per cent had their work pal on the guest list for their wedding.
And there seem to be a number of benefits to having a close work friend, with listening to dating disasters, covering for one another’s lateness, and having someone to eat lunch with all ranking highly, as well as having fun on work trips and knowing just how they each prefer a cuppa.
Emily Frank, Premier Inn, said: “We spend more time at work than anywhere else consequently, we know our work colleagues better than almost anyone. When you’re with someone for eight hours every day, five days a week, you know the ‘real’ person. From saying thank you for yet another cuppa before 10am to psyching you up right before your yearly review and nudging you to wake up during that three hour long presentation, we all have that one person in our lives that knows us better than our own family and friends.”

Ruth Langsford forgot her Strictly Come Dancing routine

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Langsford forgot her dance just minutes before she was due to perform on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ over the weekend.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter found herself at the bottom of the leader board – scoring a measly 16 points from the judges – on Saturday (23.09.17) night after she made a few mistakes during her Waltz with her professional partner Anton du Beke, but she has admitted she was actually proud of herself because she didn’t think she’d be able to remember any of the moves when she was watching and waiting for her fellow competitors to perform.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Monday (25.09.17), she said: “I can honestly say, I’ve never been so nervous – ever! I’ve done live television for 30 years … but I think it was waiting to go on.
“I made a mistake though. The thing is, Eamonn [Holmes, her husband] did say to me: ‘Oh I did see you do a little trot.’ And I said: ‘There’s no such thing as a trot.’ I have to say, everything the judges said to me was absolutely right.
“When I was on the sofa and Anton was walking towards me, I remember thinking: ‘I don’t think I’m going to be able to get up.’ The thing is, I have handed myself over to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. You go in and it’s very showbiz, there’s glitter and everyone is rushing around. Actually, the dress rehearsal, if I could’ve just done that, it would have been perfect.
“Anton was fantastic. I was watching everyone and in my eyes they were all brilliant. And at one point I turned to Anton and I said: ‘I’ve forgotten the dance!’ And he said: ‘No you haven’t!’ and I said: ‘No, I have.’ And he took me downstairs – I was trying to go to the exit – and he’s so brilliant and took me away from seeing people.”
The 57-year-old host was also shocked by her friend Craig Revel Horwood’s behaviour towards her as she has worked with him for many years and couldn’t believe it when he refused to smile at her when she was waiting for the music cue.
She explained: “It’s funny when I saw him before because I’m sitting on that sofa waiting and and I smile and he just went [eyebrow raise] and I thought: ‘Oh it’s obviously not the Craig we know on here.’
“And then later I saw him and he said: ‘Oh hello darling.’ And I won’t tell you what I said back. But I said: ‘Bottom of the leader board!’ And he said: ‘Darling, it’s the bottom that everyone talks about. The top and the bottom!’ ”
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ will return to screens this weekend on BBC.

Roxy Shahidi is pregnant

OHMYGOSSIP — Emmerdale’s Roxy Shahidi is pregnant.
The 34-year-old actress – who plays events planner Leyla Harding in the long-running soap – and her husband Arsher Ali have announced they are expecting a little girl – their first child together – and can’t wait to meet their little bundle of joy in January.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Roxy said: “To be honest, I was absolutely terrified when I saw the test was positive. I burst into tears. We had only been trying for a few weeks and I was sure it was going to take us much longer! It took a few weeks before I got my head around it but, once I did, I was filled with joy.”
The brunette beauty had no idea she was pregnant but her co-star Charley Webb – who plays Debbie Dingle – was convinced she was with child because of her boobs.
Leyla explained: “It’s weird as Charley actually told me she thought I was pregnant before I did the test. We had been working together and she called me when I got home and said my boobs gave it away. Arsher also guessed too because one day I had a sudden craving for Hula Hoops, which isn’t something I’d usually eat!”
Although the couple still have a little while to go before they meet their little bundle of joy, they’ve already chosen a name for her – but Roxy let Arsher comprise the list.
She said: “We’ve chosen one [a name] but I want to keep it a secret until she’s born. We wanted something quite unusual. I’m dyslexic so I found looking at names hard, so I let Arsher suggest the ones he liked and we chose from them.”

Megan McKenna announces UK tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan McKenna will tour the UK later this year.
The 25-year-old reality TV star shot straight to Number 1 and 2 in the iTunes Download Chart earlier this month with her new singles ‘High Heeled Shoes’ and ‘Far Cry From Love’, so it’s hardly surprising that she’s taking the next step country singing career.
Speaking in a video posted on her social networking sites on Monday (25.09.17), she said: “I’m so excited to tell you that this December I’m going on my very first tour. It’s always been my dream to become a country singer and I just can’t believe that I’ll be hitting the road and sharing it with you. I’ll be coming to Stoke-on-Trent, Derby, Southend and London. You can find out the dates on www.aegpresents.co.uk.”
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ beauty will kick off her tour on December 2 at The Sugarmill in Stoke-on-Trent, before she’ll move on to The Venue in Derby on December 3.
She’ll then have a day off before hitting Palace Theatre in Southend on December and concluding her tour on December 6 at Scala in London.
The brunette beauty’s music career has excelled since her three-part series ‘There’s Something About Megan’, which saw her travel to Nashville in the US as she attempted to launch a country career, hit television screens at the beginning of the month.
The day after the series concluded, Megan dropped ‘High Heeled Heels’ and ‘Far Cry From Love’, which she wrote country artist Beth Nielsen Chapman across the pond, and they instantly shot into Number 1 and Number 2 – knocking Taylor Swift down.
She said at the time: “Ahhh and number 1 & 2 in the country charts! Ok I can’t thank you enough to downloading my music. You’ve made me the happiest girl! (sic)”
Megan is now working on her debut album and has admitted some of the songs she’s planning to pen over the coming months will be based on her failed relationships.

Suranne Jones: Doctor Foster has ‘solid ending’

OHMYGOSSIP — Suranne Jones has revealed the current series of ‘Doctor Foster’ has a “solid ending” – but she’d be open to another instalment if the “story was right.”
The 39-year-old actress – who plays deceived doctor Gemma Foster in the drama – has confirmed the penultimate episode, which will air tomorrow (26.09.17), won’t leave fans on the edge of their seats but she has teased that there may be a follow up.
She said: “If Mike [Bartlett, the show’s creator] comes up with another story then we’ll talk about it. But for now, like the first one, it’s got a really good, solid ending.”
The brunette beauty hopes the second series, which saw her alter-ego have revenge sex with her cheating ex-husband Simon (Bertie Carvel), will make people “think twice” about cheating on their partners and consider how the infidelity will affect their children.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said: “Hopefully it will make people think twice about divorce or having an affair in the first place. I certainly hope it makes people think about how they conduct themselves, if they do split with somebody.
“Ultimately, I just hope viewers enjoyed the ride of watching two people who really f***ing hate each other having to breathe the same air.”
And Suranne thinks becoming a mother to her son, whom she has with her husband Laurence Akers, in March last year helped her view her role differently from series one.
She explained: “Being in a marriage and being a mother obviously helps with the devastation of someone betraying that. Also with the enormity of when you have a child, if you do separate, that something will always bind you and that actually you made that someone when you were totally in love. Then when you really hate each other, like in our story, you still have that person to take into adulthood. And you have to do it really carefully otherwise as much as you’re going to damage each other and you’re going to damage the child. So yeah, it gave me a gravitas and an enormity of the situation.”

Carley Stenson and Danny Mac delay honeymoon

OHMYGOSSIP — Carley Stenson and Danny Mac have delayed their honeymoon.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ stars tied the knot last month in a magical woodland ceremony in the heart of the New Forest, but they’ve been forced to postpone their romantic getaway because the 29-year-old hunk is touring as Joe Gillis in ‘Sunset Boulevard’.
He said: “It was always going to take a lot to drag me away from Carley and London this year but we both agreed it was a no-brainer. It is a gift of a role in a truly stunning show. I pinch myself at how incredible these last 12 months have been.”
The couple – who got together after they met on the set on the Channel 4 soap – have also decided to keep their individual surnames for their professional careers but Danny wants to find a way to incorporate the blonde beauty’s last name into his moniker.
He explained: “I wanted to take Carley’s name so we’ll share both out names personally and privately. Professionally, we’ll remain Danny Mac and Carley Stenson. Although if we’re referred to together, Carley quite likes the nickname Mr and Mrs Mac.”
Danny has admitted their special day is one he’ll never forget and he even told the 35-year-old star to slow down when she was walking down the aisle so he could admire her for longer.
Speaking to HELLO! magazine, he said: “Carley looked truly sensational and so happy. It was such a lovely moment that I’ll never forget. I actually put my hand out to tell her to slow down as it was all going too quickly and I wanted to cherish it. Carley thought I waved and so she waved back.”
Carley added: “I felt so calm yet so excited. I just couldn’t stop smiling and giggling. It felt like our plan had come together perfectly and I was about to say ‘I do’ to my best friend in front of everyone we loved. It was magical.”

Michael Palin will star in Vanity Fair

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Palin has reportedly been cast in the upcoming big budget period drama ‘Vanity Fair’.
The 74-year-old comedy legend hasn’t appeared in a drama since he played Tom Parfitt in 2014’s ‘Remember Me’, but ITV bosses of the forthcoming series have seemingly snapped him up as they’re hoping his appearance will help the show emulate the success of ‘Downton Abbey’.
Details of the new seven-part series, which will be based on author William Thackeray’s classic novel of the same name, are being kept tightly under wraps for the time being but, according to The Sun newspaper, the former ‘Monty Python’ star has been cast at the writer himself.
The drama will follow social climber Becky Sharp – played by ‘Bates Motel’ actress Olivia Cooke – as she attempts to escape poverty and scale the heights of 19th century English society.
The 23-year-old actress will be joined by ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ star Tom Bateman, who will take on the role of Captain Rawdon Crawley, in the star-studded cast.
Polly Hill, ITV’s head of drama, said: “[‘Vanity Fair’] feels like the perfect classic to adapt for ITV.”
Meanwhile, Michael looks set for a busy year as he will return to the big screen to take on the role of leading Soviet politician Vyacheslav Molotov in upcoming comedy drama ‘The Death of Stalin’.
Based on the graphic novel of the same name, the movie – his first since ‘Absolutely Anything’ in 2014 – is slated to be released next month in the UK.
It’s not yet known when ‘Vanity Fair’ will hit television screens, but ITV have been looking for a big show to fill the shoes of ‘Downton Abbey’ after it came off air in 2015 following five years on screen.

Debbie McGee’s Strictly secret

OHMYGOSSIP — Debbie McGee thinks “gardening” is the secret to her ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ success.
The 58-year-old star – who is following in her late husband Paul Daniels’ footsteps after he appeared on the BBC competition in 2010 – received high praise from the viewers and judging panel following her routine to Fergie’s ‘Be Italian’ over the weekend.
Asked by the Daily Mirror newspaper how she manages to stay in top shape for the intense dancing show, she revealed: “Gardening keeps me trim, as does Pilates and yoga three to four times a week.”
Despite her healthy living, Debbie still felt the effects of her energetic routine and admitted she needed a massage the next day because her back was so tight.
She explained: “My body is feeling that it was flung around last night. I was sent to the physio who gave my back a jolly good massage.”
Craig Revel Horwood – known for his cutting and brutally honest remarks on the panel – heaped praise on Debbie after her performance alongside professional dancer partner Giovanni Pernice.
He said she “looked liked a 20 year old” on the dance floor, with Darcey Bussell adding that she was “on fire”.
Meanwhile, Debbie recently revealed ‘Strictly’ has made her happy for the first time since her husband lost his battle with cancer in March 2016.
She told ‘Lorraine’: “It really is the first time since I lost Paul that I feel genuinely happy. Until now there was a knot in my stomach. These last three weeks on ‘Strictly’ have been amazing on every level, they all make you feel so good and wanted.”
Magician Daniels competed on the show in 2010 alongside Ola Jordan, and was the second celebrity to leave the competition.

Charlotte Hawkins rejects ‘Strictly curse’

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlotte Hawkins is too “happily married” to allow herself to be struck by the infamous ‘curse’ while competing on this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The ballroom and latin show has made a name for itself after being the cause of numerous relationship breakdowns over the years, but the ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter is adamant she won’t be running off with her professional dance partner Brendan Cole because she’s too in love with her husband Mark Herbert.
Speaking to HELLO! magazine, she said: “One of the things I get asked about most is the ‘curse of Strictly’, but it’s not an issue as we’re very happily married.”
And, although they have to get up close and personal during training and while on the dance floor, Mark thinks Brendan is a “really nice bloke” and is pleased his wife, whom he’s been married to for nine years, was partnered up with him for the competition.
He explained to the publication: “It’s really important they get on – there needs to be quite a bit of chemistry there for their dancing to be good. Brendan is a really nice bloke – I’m very happy with him as a choice.”
Charlotte and Mark have two-year-old daughter Ella Rose together and the youngster has been helping the 42-year-old blonde beauty practice the moves in the kitchen.
She said: “Ella Rose finds it funny when I practice in the kitchen.
“She helps me with the counting – ‘Five, six, seven eight’. She does baby ballet and has taken to it like a duck to water.”
Brendan, on the other hand, recently announced that he and his wife Zoe are expecting their second child, a younger brother or sister for their four-year-old daughter Aurelia.

Judge Rinder workouts every day

OHMYGOSSIP — Judge Rinder goes to the gym “every day.”
The 39-year-old criminal barrister has agreed to strip off for Loose Women’s male body confidence campaign, which starts today (25.09.17), alongside the likes of Bruno Tonioli, Shayne Ward and Frank Bruno in a bid to break the silence surrounding the increasing body image pressures men are facing in today’s society.
He said: “When I was at university, I was too busy reading Proust instead of doing press ups. Even now, it depends what sort of mood I’m in. If I’m on the beach I might not take my top off, feel a bit gross. Like anybody else.
“I go to the gym every day. But I don’t necessarily go to look a certain way. I go really because my connection with exercise is about my sense of mental well-being …
“… Every single man – straight, gay or otherwise – feels exactly the same. The difference is, whereas women will talk to each other about it, and it’s become perfectly reasonably and rationally a very important issue to be discussed, men don’t.”
Shayne, 32, has also opened up about being heavily trolled online and has admitted, although he’s put on a bit of weight recently, he was willing to flash the flesh.
He said: “If someone’s just going to comment on the fact that I’m a little bit bigger than I used to be, I’m 32, when I first joined the pop industry I was 21, so of course my body’s going to change after that amount of time. Being in the public eye can make you more conscious, without a shadow of a doubt, and that’s what’s great about this campaign.
“Hopefully this campaign will give men the confidence to talk about body confidence issues, because a lot of it is thrown away as banter; ‘Ah you’ve got a bit of a belly,’ ‘So have you mate.’ And then it’s done, but actually, once that conversation stops and someone starts to talk about something else, you’re left with that, thinking, actually I do feel like I’ve put on a bit of weight. This campaign is going to be brilliant for that.”

Michelle Keegan wanted to quit Our Girl

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Keegan reportedly threatened to pull out of ‘Our Girl’ after a member of the crew was bitten by a deadly spider while shooting the show in the Malaysian jungle.
The 30-year-old actress – who portrays Lance Corporal Georgie Lane in the programme – almost quit the military drama after script expert Andrea Bamford was struck by a deadly arachnid while filming was taking place for the forthcoming series.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “They hooked her up on a drip and said if she was 15 minutes later she would have died.
“Everyone, including Michelle, is completely shocked and feels they are in danger. Bosses had to assure them that it is fine to continue filming.”
Despite dealing with deadly animals, Michelle has admitted landing the lead role in the drama has been a career highlight because it’s forced her out of her comfort zone.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who played Georgie in last year’s series – said: “Landing the role for ‘Our Girl’ has been my career highlight so far. It forced me to go out of my comfort zone. I’ve had the opportunity to shoot in so many amazing places around the world and I’ve really enjoyed the role. The best piece of advice anyone has ever given me is to stay true to who you are while being the best version of yourself you can be. This has been amazing year – filming ‘Our Girl’ and partnering with Very!”
Her globe-trotting work commitments have meant that she hasn’t had much time to relax but, when she does get time off, she likes to spend it with husband Mark Wright.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: “I don’t get much time off from work. This year has been the busiest I’ve had so far.
“When I had two weeks off from filming this summer I worked every day shooting the [campaign with Very], which was really exciting but meant I didn’t have a lot of downtime. But when I do take a break I like to spend time with Mark.”
