Ron Howard teases 2 Han Solo film characters

OHMYGOSSIP — Ron Howard has revealed two new characters for the Han Solo movie.
The 63-year-old director has announced ‘Star Wars’ comic book characters Tag and Bink will be making an appearance in the sci-fi film franchise spin-off after taking to Twitter to post a selfie with the pair.
He captioned the image: “#tagandbink ? (sic)”
The characters were created by Kevin Rubio for ‘Tag & Bink Were Here’, a series of comic books spoofing ‘Star Wars’, in which they affect the events of the first and second trilogies.
Rubio seemed particularly delighted to see his creations were going to get a cameo on the big screen.
In response to Ron’s tweet, he wrote: “#HOLYCRAP Ron Howard just made my comic #OfficialCanon #Thanks Ron! (sic)”
The pair were written into the motion picture by screenwriter Jon Kasdan, who, along with first assistant director Toby Hefferman, will play the parts.
In a tweet directed at Rubio, Kasdan wrote: “Thank You, Kevin. I’m a huge fan and I had to get ’em in there, and then had to play it myself (with Toby Hefferman) to do it justice (sic)”
Rubio replied: “#DUDE The honor is all mine. Your dad help me out as a young writer giving me a 1stdraft copy of #Raiders 1/2
“of course as you can see by the punctuation line spacing and grammar in the last tweet, I still need help. (sic)”
Howard has been drip feeding fans with teaser photos from the set posted on his Instagram and Twitter accounts in recent months.
He took over control of the untitled ‘Star Wars’ spin-off after Christopher Miller and Phil Lord left due to creative differences with Disney and Lucasfilm.
Last week, Howard published a picture of what appears to be an entrance lit up with blue lighting but little more than that was revealed.
Howard captioned the image: “Tough neighbourhoods contain Doorways to adventure, mystery & excitement #UntitledHanSoloMovie (sic)”
The Han Solo spin-off movie will focus on a younger version of the titular character, with Alden Ehrenreich taking over the iconic role from Harrison Ford.
Han and Chewbacca will be seen first meeting Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) and they will also encounter Woody Harrelson’s alter-ego Beckett, who is believed to be a mentor to young Han who guides him on his journey to becoming a space smuggler.
The Han Solo film is slated to be released in May 2018.

Matt Lucas wore women’s wigs

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Lucas used to wear a woman’s wig when he was a child.
The 43-year-old comedian has admitted he became bald when he was only six-years-old and to avoid people talking about his hair loss when he started secondary school he decided to trial a false hair piece, although it was “bigger” than his head because the NHS did not offer any wigs to fit a child.
Speaking about the major moment in his life on ‘Loose Women’ on Monday (16.10.17), the funny man said: “I lost my hair when I was six, it all just fell out.
“In a weird sort of way I was famous as a kid, everybody in my town knew me and I couldn’t get away with anything.
“It fell out over the space of two or three months across one the summer. I’d wake up in the morning and there would be strands of hair on my pillow, but because I was already known as ‘Oh that’s the kid with no hair’. I thought I wanted to do something with this attention, and that made me become a performer.
“I did wear a wig. When I was 11, I had been bald for five years, and then I was getting ready to go to secondary school, so they thought maybe it would help me fit in if I wear a wig. So I actually got a wig on the National Health. It wasn’t great, because they didn’t make kids wigs on the National Health, I had a woman’s wig, and it was huge. It was bigger than my head. And I had one term left of primary school so I went in on the first day of the last term to wear this wig as practice.”
However, the former ‘Little Britain’ star has admitted the first time he donned the wig made him the brunt of school pranks.
He added: “One of the older boys ran past me, ripped it off my head and threw it in a puddle.”
But Matt is not bitter about the moment.
He said: “It was the best thing anyone could have done really.”
And Matt has revealed he “didn’t realise” baldness ran in his genes, as his late father John also donned a toupee.
Matt explained: “But baldness ran in my family, I didn’t realise my own father wore a wig. And when I was about 10 or 11, one evening before going to Hebrew class on a Sunday, he summoned me into the bathroom, shut the door and said ‘I’ve got something to tell you’. And then he started to peel back his wig and said ‘I’m like you I’ve got no hair, but don’t tell anyone’. I went into Hebrew classes and went ‘My dad wears a wig’. And everyone went: ‘We know.'”
But the ‘Alice in Wonderland’ actor has hinted his hair loss was also due to a car accident he was involved in at the age of four.
He said: “We don’t know. Two years earlier, when I was four, I was knocked down by a car on holiday in Portugal, and people always thought it was the shock that made my hair fall out. But there are all these other medical theories.”

Craig Revel Horwood dumped guy over high-pitched voice

OHMYGOSSIP — Craig Revel Horwood once dumped someone because he had a high-pitched voice.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge has spent the past year looking for love online but, although he’s had some “great dates” with various people during that time, he was forced to cut a meeting short because he didn’t like how the other man sounded.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ today (16.10.17), he said: “I did judge someone by their voice because they looked really butch in their photograph so I thought: ‘Oh yes, nice and butch, I’ll go on a date with him.’ And then he had this really high-pitched voice.”
But the 52-year-old choreographer has had to temporary suspend his online dating account because he’s too busy with the ballroom and latin show and playing Miss Hannigan in the theatre production of ‘Annie’ to meet anyone at the moment.
He explained: “My match.com account, I haven’t had time to even look at that this week. I’ve come off it, I’ve been on it for a year and I’ve had some great dates but no great sparks or anything.
“But I thought what’s the point of having my face up there if you’re not available to even meet anyone – Unless they come to the theatre. Love will have to wait until next year.”

Liar to get another series?

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Liar’ is set to get a second series.
The gripping drama will come to an harrowing end tonight (16.10.17) when viewers will learn what happens to serial rapist Andrew Earlham – played by Ioan Gruffudd – after he assaulted Laura Nielson (Joanne Froggatt) and DI Vanessa Harmon (Shelley Conn), but it may not be the last fans see of the characters as bosses are toying with the idea of creating a prequel that will delve into the background of the psychotic surgeon.
A source told The Sun Online: “Explaining the characters would appeal to fans who’ll be intrigued to see what underlying experiences sparked their actions. Bosses feel it would be the best direction to go in.”
Ioan believes he’s become the “most hated man in Britain” – taking the title from Good Morning Britain’s Piers Morgan – since the series hit screens six weeks ago, but has reassured the television presenter that the baton will be back with him by tomorrow.
Recalling their recent conversation, Piers said on the show this morning: “There is an irony – loads of headlines here, ‘Most Hated Man In Britain.’ I sent him an email saying, ‘I really wanna thank you buddy, you’ve bailed me out.’ He went, ‘Piers, the finale is on Monday and by Tuesday the mantel is back with you.’ ”
And, although the 44-year-old actor has been heavily praised for his portrayal of the creepy surgeon, his wife Alice Evans has admitted he almost didn’t get the role.
Speaking on ‘GMB’, she said: “The director of ‘Liar’ James Strong, who came to him and is one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met, said ‘Why don’t we get Ioan Gruffudd?’ And apparently the conversation went, ‘Well he’d never do it.’ So he said, ‘Have you asked him?’ So the perception was that he wouldn’t be interested in doing a British thing, whereas in fact that was all he was waiting for somebody to ask him, and just shows how you shouldn’t be too modest.”

Hurricane threatens Susan Calman’s Strictly future

OHMYGOSSIP — Strictly Come Dancing’s Susan Calman only has three days to learn her new routine for this weekend’s show after Kevin Clifton’s flight was cancelled because of Hurricane Ophelia.
The 42-year-old comedienne has asked Sir Richard Branson – who founded the Virgin Group – to lend her a private plane for the day to escort her professional partner from London to Glasgow, Scotland, so that they can start rehearsing their new dance after various airlines decided to halt flights around Britain following the 80mph winds forecast.
Taking to her Twitter account this morning (16.10.17), she said: “So @ keviclifton’s flight to Glasgow has already been cancelled. I’m fine though. 3 days to learn a dance is fine. No problem. Thank goodness I’m such a natural at the Latin dances. We will have two and half days to learn the number. Hi @richardbranson. We met on the One Show last week. Can I borrow a plane or a helicopter or a train? Just for a day. Thanks. (sic)”
Fans tried to help by offering to drive Kevin – who is currently in rehearsals in London – from the capital to Glasgow but Susan suggest that she and the hunk practice via Skype.
She added: “You are all so sweet. I suspect I will be dancing with @keviclifton via Skype later on. We can do this. We must do this. We will do this. The #savekevin hashtag is a delight. You’re a delight. Strictly is the best TV show in the world and is watched by heroes.
“Kevin is rehearsing until later today. By the time he storm hits I suspect the trains will be disrupted as well. That’s why he was flying. (sic)”
The Met Office have predicted gusts of up to 80mph, which could put lives in danger, will cause travel chaos for two days and believe the west coast of Britain will be the worst hit.

Prue Leith banned from Dancing on Ice

OHMYGOSSIP — Prue Leith has been banned from doing ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The ‘Great British Bake Off’ star was approached by bosses of the skating show, which is set to return next year following three years off screen, recently as they were keen to get her on the forthcoming line up but, despite her keenness to show off on the rink, her management team told her she wasn’t allowed to do it in case of injury.
She told Daily Star newspaper: “I was asked if I would do ‘Dancing On Ice’. I thought it’d be the perfect way to get fit, lose a lot of weight and learn a new skill. I was actually quite excited, but my team said, ‘Absolutely not’. They told me I was far too old and if I fell over I would break something – and then I thought they were probably right.”
However, the 77-year-old restaurateur should have a lot of work on her hands anyway next year as she’s hoping Channel 4 decide to renew her contract for ‘GBBO’.
She said recently: “I’m still hoping Channel 4 will ask me back for the second series. They’ve asked me about timings and schedules but I’ve not seen or heard anything about a contract. It could all change, like ‘The X Factor’.”
Prue was hired by Channel 4 earlier this year after Mary Berry – who used to judge alongside Paul Hollywood – announced her decision to leave the show “out of loyalty” to the BBC, who screened the programme since it first launched in 2010, after the broadcaster snatched the rights to the format in a mega-money deal last year.
But Prue has admitted she did reach out to Mary, 82, before she went for the job to find out what it would be like working alongside Paul, 51, on the cooking show.
She said recently: “I did ring Mary up and my first question was, ‘Is he workable with?’ She said, ‘Yes actually. He knows his stuff.’ ”

Benji Matthews’ ‘heartbroken’ after X Factor chop

OHMYGOSSIP — Benji Matthews’ “heart was broken” after Louis Walsh dramatically dumped him from ‘The X Factor’ as part of his chaotic Six Chair Challenge last night (15.10.17).
The teen thought he had a place in the Judges Houses’ round after the music manager gave him one of his seats after his incredible performance, but his dreams were shattered after Louis dithered over him, Spencer Sutherland and Lloyd Macey, who were locked in a three-way sing-off, before ultimately giving him the boot.
Taking to his Twitter account, Benji said: “Ahhh! Where do I start? The X Factor has been the best experience of my life so far. The past few months have been amazing for me, and I’d like to thank you all for your generous, kind messages and support. It means the world to me. I would also like to say thank you to Louis, Sharon, Simon, Nicole and the whole of the X Factor ream for such an amazing opportunity. I feel truly blessed. Genuinely, I wish nothing but the best for the boys. It was such a pleasure to meet them all. I’m so excited to continue making music. This whole experience has been so inspiring for new material and I can’t wait to share it with you all.
“I hope you continue following me, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. I love you all.”
Benji then added: “Obviously I was devastated, my heart was broken but honestly-my heart is full of gratitude right now. Please continue to love me, I love u x (sic)”
Fans were hoping that Benji – who wrote and performed his own songs on the show – would be given a second chance after Anthony Russell was dropped from the series because he reportedly admitted to taking drugs to the production team.
However, bosses have decided to replace Anthony – who was nicknamed ‘Skippy’ – with Sam Black, who proposed to his girlfriend on the show, because they believe he stood out – even though he didn’t even make it to the Six Chair Challenge.

Liz Dawn didn’t want to go back to Corrie set

OHMYGOSSIP — Liz Dawn refused to visit the ‘Coronation Street’ set after she’d left the soap.
The late actress – who passed away last month aged 77 after years of ill health – quit her iconic role of Vera Duckworth in 2008 and though her onscreen husband Bill Tarmey, who passed away in 2012, repeatedly invited her to return to see him, she insisted her only connection with the show was to watch it on screen.
Liz’s widower Donald Ibbetson said: “After Liz filmed her final scenes, I picked up her up in the car at Granada Studios. She got in, gave me a kiss and we drove away.
“She never went back. For years Bill would tell her to pop in. But Liz never did. She watched it on the telly but it was a chapter that had closed. Instead she focused on spending more time with family. Family always came first for her.”
Despite the actress’ reluctance to return to the show, she made a brief reappearance as a vision to Bill’s character Jack as he passed away in a moving scene which saw them share one last dance.
Liz was diagnosed with lung condition emphysema in 2001 and given five years to live, but she refused to quit ‘Corrie’ until her health got too bad to continue any longer.
Don told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Things just became harder and harder for Liz to stay on ‘Corrie’.
“She was breathless all the time. She made sure she was on set before her scene was filmed so she didn’t have to rush from her dressing room. And she avoided stairs. She hated them. She did all she could but in the end it became too hard to carry on.”
Despite Don’s grief, he takes comfort in his belief his beloved wife has been reunited with Bill in the afterlife.
He said: “I suspect she’s up there now with Bill having a drink, chewing his ear off and waiting for me.
“I know he will take good care of her – until we are together again.”

The 28-year-old singer has agreed to front the BBC show alongside permanent presenters Greg James and Radio 1 Xtra’s Amplify Dot – also known as Dotty – at the BBC Television Centre on October 27, according to the Daily Mirror newspaper.
Not much else is known about the six-part series but it has been confirmed that the second show will see Liam Payne co-host, while Liam Gallagher performs.
Greg, 31 said recently: “We have been missing a prime time music show from our TV screens for far too long, so it’s fair to say being part of ‘Sounds Like Friday Night’ is something I’m really, really excited about.
“One thing that’s fantastic about the show is being able to provide new and emerging acts a home alongside the megastars, introducing them to a new audience.
“Also having the opportunity to interview and have a laugh with some of the biggest stars in the world, on the actual telly, is completely brilliant. I can’t wait to get going!”

Charlotte Hawkins leaves Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlotte Hawkins has been voted off ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter was booted off the BBC One latin and ballroom show after her and her professional partner Brendan Cole failed to impress the judges – Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Shirley Ballas – with their Jive to ‘Marry You’ in the dance off against ‘EastEnders’ star Davood Ghadami and his partner Nadiya Bychkova.
Speaking after her exit, Charlotte said: “I’ve had an amazing time, such an amazing time, it’s been brilliant from start to finish, it really has been. A huge thank you to Brendan who has just been fantastic, we’ve had such a great time going through all the dances, you’ve always been there for me, getting my back, there with the support. A big thank you to everyone that voted, I had so much support from friends, colleagues, online, it’s been amazing and I loved the chance to come out here and dance. I was trying to get better, I’m going out knowing that I gave it my best and that’s all you can do.”
And Brendan admitted he was going to miss dancing with Charlotte too.
He added: “Quite often you stand in this position and you go, ‘hey it was our time to go’ and perhaps today it was our time to go. Not often you stand here with such sadness and go ‘I’m going to miss this and I’m going to miss hanging out with this girl.’ I’m going to miss dancing with her, I’ve had one of the best Strictly’s in 15 years and it’s hard for me to even say that and I feel really emotional.”
Craig opted to save Davood and Nadiya as he felt they had danced the best.
He said: “I’d like to save the couple that I thought danced the best and who fixed a problem with a foot on the floor and that is Davood and Nadiya.”
Darcey praised Davood’s “stronger technical performance” and Bruno told the pair: “Without a shadow of a doubt, I have to pick the couple who actually danced even better than Saturday night, Davood and Nadiya.”
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ continues on BBC One on Saturday October 21.

Strictly Come Dancing bosses ‘fear Brendan Cole exit’

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ bosses are concerned Brendan Cole might quit the show after he and Charlotte Hawkins were voted off.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ co-presenter and her professional partner were booted off the programme last night (15.10.17) after failing to impress the judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Shirley Ballas, with their jive, fuelling speculation his options are being “weighed up”.
A TV source said: “They don’t want him to leave. Deep down, Brendan doesn’t want to either – but options are being weighed up.”
Brendan was said to have been disappointed to lose out to Shirley Ballas on the chance to replace Len Goodman as head judge for this series, and earlier this month he clashed with the new panellist, leaving producers fearing the 41-year-old star might leave for good.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: “He loves being a part of the show, but his lack of promotion and clashes with judges this year have led top bosses to wonder how long he’ll stick around for.”
Following his and Charlotte’s ‘Strictly’ exit, Brendan admitted he was feeling “really emotional” and was going to “miss” dancing with the newsreader.
He said: “Quite often you stand in this position and you go, ‘Hey it was our time to go’ and perhaps today it was our time to go.
“Not often you stand here with such sadness and go ‘I’m going to miss this and I’m going to miss hanging out with this girl.’
“I’m going to miss dancing with her, I’ve had one of the best Strictly’s in 15 years and it’s hard for me to even say that and I feel really emotional.”
Earlier this month, Brendan hit out at Shirley following one of her comments about his and Charlotte’s tango.
Giving her views on the performance, Shirley told the pair: “She needs to stand on her own feet and we’ve established that there’s no rise and fall in Tango. So, we’ve got to make a concrete decision not to use rise and fall. So, no rise and fall.”
But Brendan argued: “There was no rise and fall in that whatsoever.”
Shirley then said: “Well, there is, Brendan. You should play it back and see.”
Brendan fired back: “I will my dear, I will. There was no rise and fall.”

Jared Leto praises Gavin O’Connor

OHMYGOSSIP — Jared Leto thinks Gavin O’Connor is the “perfect director” for ‘Suicide Squad 2’.
The 52-year-old filmmaker – whose credits include ‘The Accountant’ and ‘Jane Got a Gun’ – recently stepped up to the job of helming the DC Extended Universe sequel after Jaume Collet-Serra pulled out.
And the movie’s star Jared – who plays Batman’s nemesis The Joker – couldn’t be happier with the studio’s choice.
Speaking to Collider.com, the 45-year-old actor and musician said: “I think Gavin is incredibly talented, he seems to be the perfect director for Suicide Squad 2. I think he’s a really gifted filmmaker and I really love his work.”
Gavin’s role was announced last month, after ‘Shallows’ director Collet-Serra – who had been the frontrunner to take the job – reportedly called it quits to work on ‘Jungle Cruise’ for Disney, which stars Dwayne Johnson.
Warner Bros. Studios had been on the hunt for a director after David Ayer – who helmed the first movie – pulled out to focus on ‘Gotham City Sirens’.
Mel Gibson was previously linked with the vacant director’s chair, but was adamant it was all just speculation.
He said: “I don’t know. I just met some guys about story points. It’s not a done deal or anything, but it’s just fun to shoot the pool, you know, when it comes to stories. I love doing it. And if we can elevate any type of concept, it’s good. We’ll see.”
Other filmmakers in the running to helm the sequel included Jonathan Levine, Daniel Espinosa and Ruben Fleischer, who has since taken over directing ‘Venom’ for Sony Pictures.
‘Suicide Squad 2’ reportedly won’t begin filming until late 2018, but when production does start, it is expected to star returning cast members Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, and Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang.

Deadpool 2 wraps filming

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Reynolds has revealed ‘Deadpool 2’ has finished filming.
The 40-year-old actor has taken to Instagram to post a series of sweet photos from his time on set of the Marvel movie – where he stars as Wade Wilson and his titular crime fighting alter ego – as he revealed filming on the project has come to an end.
Ryan captioned the photos: “That’s a wrap on DEADPOOL 2: A SONG OF FIRE AND ICE! Thank you to our beloved Captain, Mr. @davidmleitch… words are too clumsy to properly acknowledge your giant heart and talent. I love my hometown of Vancouver and our obscenely gifted crew. From our PA’s, (who are first in and last out) to our set decorators and prop department, riddling this film with Easter Eggs in almost every scene… Thank you. I already miss being on set. Which is why I’ve decided to continue shooting the film in my underwear from Josh Brolin’s well appointed living room. #MaximumEffort (sic)”
‘Deadpool 2’ – which is the followup to the 2016 Marvel feature ‘Deadpool’ – is set to be released in 2018, and was directed by David Leitch, as well as starring Josh Brolin, Zazie Beets, and T.J. Miller.
Meanwhile, whilst details of the hotly-anticipated sequel are remaining largely under wraps, fellow star T.J. – who plays Deadpool’s best friend Weasel – recently revealed second instalment won’t follow the “same [story] in a different location” and will instead involve “different stakes”.
He said: “It’s not going to be like ‘Hangover 2’, it’s not going to be the same movie in a different location, for instance. It’s got different stakes, different things happen, some pretty tragic, dark s**t happens in the first part of the film, in the beginning, and the rest of the film is kind of dealing with that, so that’s interesting. But Weasel remains just absolutely the most selfish individual on the face of the planet.”

Cate Blanchett praises ‘delightful’ Chris Hemsworth

OHMYGOSSIP — Cate Blanchett had “fantastic fun” shooting ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ with “delightful” Chris Hemswoerth.
The 48-year-old actress will play the villainous Hela in the upcoming instalment of the Marvel series, and she developed an interest in the comic book world because her sons, Dashiell, 15, Roman, 13, and Ignatius, nine, are fans.
She said: “I started watching the Marvel films because my children wanted to see them. I found them so enticing, but I did think, ‘Where are all the chicks?’
“You get to a certain age and you don’t play the hero any more. You play villains. Villains and drunks.
“I got to work with Chris Hemsworth – talk about delightful. He’s just absolutely fabulous.
“The whole thing was just a riot and fantastic fun.”
Cate had to get “very fit” for her role in the movie – but admits she didn’t keep up her strict diet when filming was over.
She told Closer magazine: “I get in shape for a role, then I’m back to eating hamburgers.
“The benefit of being in the superhero universe is you do get very fit.
“My stunt double Zoe [Bell] is legendary and I loved working with her.”
As well as her venture into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Australian actress – who also has two-year-old daughter Edith with husband Andrew Upton – has been busy working on ‘Ocean’s Eight’ and had a “fantastic” experience shooting the heist drama with Sandra Bullock, Helena Bonham Carter, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling and Anne Hathaway.
She said: “They are funny, funny, funny and very generous women to work with.
“It’s been fantastic, there are certainly a lot of surprises. But I don’t want to give too much away.”

Joanne Clifton: Brendan Cole should ‘respect’ Strictly Come Dancing judges

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional Joanne Clifton has said fellow dancer Brendan Cole must “respect” the judging panel.
Brendan, 41, landed himself in hot water on the BBC Latin and ballroom dance competition last week after he argued with head judge Shirley Ballas over the amount of “rise and fall” in his Tango with TV presenter Charlotte Hawkins.
And now, Joanne – who departed the show last year after lifting the glitterball trophy alongside Ore Oduba – has said that whilst she can see Brendan’s point of view, he shouldn’t argued with the judges.
Writing in an episode re-cap for the Radio Times which was posted on Saturday (14.10.17), 33-year-old Joanne said: “With the whole rise and fall thing, from watching it there was a lot of it where there wasn’t rise and fall. But in some bits there was.
“I did feel sorry for Charlotte at that moment. Bless her. Her dance partner was arguing with the judges – the judges who give the scores to keep them in! Brendan has got to do exactly what he’s said he’ll do now, otherwise it could be a disaster!
The thing with dancing in a competition and having multiple judges is that one judge can be watching one bit at a different time to everybody else. So it might have been that, unluckily for them, Shirley Ballas was looking at that bit at that moment.
“But a lot of it wasn’t rise and fall. I will defend Brendan on that point – it’s just unlucky that Shirley looked up at that moment. I think he has already apologised, but the judges are the ones sitting there and you have to respect their opinions. Shirley is more than qualified but even if you don’t agree, I wouldn’t come straight back like that!”
Meanwhile, on the show, when the 57-year-old Queen of Latin told the duo there shouldn’t be any rise and fall in the Tango, Brendan was quick to step in and tell her she was mistaken, as he was adamant her comments were false.
She said: “She needs to stand on her own feet and we’ve established that there’s no rise and fall in Tango. So we’ve got to make a concrete decision not to use rise and fall. So no rise and fall.”
And Brendan argued: “There was no rise and fall in that whatsoever.”
Shirley then said: “Well, there is, Brendan. You should play it back and see.”
Brendan fired back: “I will my dear, I will. There was no rise and fall.”
Luckily for Brendan, he and Charlotte managed to make it through to this week’s show, and will once again face the public vote for tonight’s (15.10.17) result.
