Lucy Pargeter will never choose to leave Emmerdale: ‘They’ll have to drag me kicking and screaming!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lucy Pargeter will never choose to leave ‘Emmerdale’.
The 47-year-old actress has starred as Chas Dingle on the ITV1 soap opera since 2002 and admitted that if she is written out, it will not be her decision and show bosses would have to “drag” her out because she is just happy to have the job.
She told MyWeekly magazine: “I don’t think I will ever make the decision to leave myself – they’ll have to write me out, but even they they’d have to drag me out kicking and screaming! I’ve got a job that I love and I’ll stay as long as they’ll have me.”
The former ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ contestant admitted that despite the “difficult storylines” she has had to tackle over the years, she still manages to have a laugh at some point in he working day and “can’t complain” at all about the role despite the demanding hours and the “tiring” nature of the job.
She said: “Even if I’m doing difficult storylines, there’s not a day goes by where we don’t laugh and giggle. We’re sometimes like children in kindergarten.
“Even though we’ve all been here so long, we still enjoy creating stories and we’re constantly coming up with ideas.
“It can be long hours and it’s tiring sometimes, but I can’t complain, because I love it.”
In recent episode, Chas has been diagnosed with breast cancer and while Lucy has no experience with the disease herself, she was still able to give the writers some suggestions as she recalled having the “practicalities”of having her implants removed
She said: “Having my implants removed and being left with very tiny breasts is a massive thing.
“While I wouldn’t want to put the experience of what I’ve been through personally with my breasts in anywhere near the same category (as cancer), having had that surgery I can relate and draw upon it. You’re in pain, so there are practicalities during the recovery. I’ve said to the storyliners that we should maybe include the fact that she can’t wash her hair, because you can’t physically move your arms to do that. I couldn’t wash my hair for a couple of weeks because of the scars and pain.
“You struggle with buttons and with putting clothes over your head, so everything has to be zip-up. These are little things, but they are details that people who haven’t gone through that sort of surgery wouldn’t know.”

Married At First Sight UK could feature its first polyamorous couple

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Married At First Sight UK’ star Paul C Brunson wants a polyamorous couple on the show.
The 49-year-old relationship guru and matchmaker – who also works as Tinder’s head of global research – admitted the Channel 4 show needs to “keep up” with changes in the way society views romance.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I’ve never had this question. I am pro love and this is what I stand for.
“I have friends in polyamorous relationships and I’ve done the research on them and I know there are high levels of satisfaction when you have high levels of communication.
“So, as society demands changes in our relationships, we as a show will have to keep up with that and we’ll have to follow the same path.”
In his new book, the ‘Find Love’ author has preached the benefits of finding “a strong partner”, describing it as “the most important decision we make in our lifetime”.
He explained: “With a strong partner you live longer, you’re healthier, you make more money, you’re able to realise all the things that you’re looking to get out of life.
“But when you choose the wrong partner, or worse, you’re just chosen, you tend not to get all those things.”
He also reflected on people “who are unsure if they’re with or married to the strongest partner”, as he reflected on the ‘Long-Term Relationship Satisfaction Scale (LRSS)’, which he created with psychologist to “evaluate” the strength of your relationship and “areas you need to work on”.
He said the research suggests in the UK, US and similar places, 80 percent of marriages “are less satisfied than ever”, with the remaining 20 percent being people who “put in the work”.
Asked why he thinks the number is so low, he added: “Well, we require more from our partner today than ever before. We’re looking for our intellectual equal, our best sex mate, best co-parent, best CEO of the business we’re launching.
“But back in the 1980s and 1970s it didn’t used to be that way; you would have a village of people meeting those needs. It’s very difficult to get everything from one person.
“That’s another reason why people are re-evaluating if monogamy is for them.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sue Cleaver decided to live life for herself when she turned 60.
The actress – who has 28-year-old son Elliot with ex-husband James Quinn – is best known for having starred as Eileen Grimshaw in ‘Coronation Street’ from 2000 but in the run-up to her milestone birthday decided that it was time to do other things, like appear on ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ and join the ITV1 chat show ‘Loose Women’.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, she said: “I brought my son up, my priority was always my son and then I just thought that as soon as he’d gone…he’s 28 now…I just decided…I hit 60 and decided that this decade is for me, I’m gonna have fun, I’m gonna do what I want to do. I’m gonna come out from being this mum where that was my main priority. It started with me going in the jungle. I love being on the ‘Loose Women’ panel. I can be me, and I have enough to say.”
The soap legend is now starring as Mother Superior in the UK tour of ‘Sister Act: The Musical’ but will soon be back in her role as matriarch Eileen, who, over the years, has brought up sons Jason (Ryan Thomas) and Todd (Gareth Pierce) as a single mother, had a number of ill-fated relationships including one with a fireman whose wife was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and has become the infamous arch-enemy of Gail Platt (Helen Worth).
But Eileen is now in a relationship with undertaker George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) and Sue shared her hopes that the characters will get to tie the knot one day in a classic ‘Corrie’ wedding.
She said: “I have a few months’ grace to do this job and then I will be back in there as soon as I’ve finished. I’m pushing for George and Eileen to have a big old-fashioned ‘Corrie’ wedding. Funny things can [go wrong]. We don’t want to lose anybody!”

Dakota Johnson rules out superhero movie return after Madame Web disaster

OHMYGOSSIP — Dakota Johnson will “never do anything like” ‘Madame Web’ again.
The 34-year-old star plays the title role in the superhero blockbuster that has been savaged by both critics and audiences and admits that the experience in the Spider-Man Universe has put her off from venturing into the genre again.
Dakota told Bustle: “It was definitely an experience for me to make that movie. I had never done anything like it before. I probably will never do anything like it again, because I don’t make sense in that world. And I know that now.
“But sometimes in this industry, you sign on to something, and it’s one thing and then as you’re making it, it becomes a completely different thing, and you’re like, ‘Wait, what?’ But it was a real learning experience, and of course it’s not nice to be a part of something that’s ripped to shreds, but I can’t say that I don’t understand.”
The ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ actress bemoaned how difficult it is to get pictures made and is disheartened by the fact that committees are responsible for decisions on smaller projects.
Dakota said: “It’s so hard to get movies made, and in these big movies that get made – and it’s even starting to happen with the little ones, which is what’s really freaking me out – decisions are being made by committees, and art does not do well when it’s made by committee.
“Films are made by a filmmaker and a team of artists around them. You cannot make art based on numbers and algorithms. My feeling has been for a long time that audiences are extremely smart, and executives have started to believe that they’re not.”

Mark Wahlberg is focused on making family-friendly films

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Wahlberg is interested in making movies that appeal to families.

“Look, I’m 52 years old now. I’m a dad of four. I’ve got a kid in college. I like playing age-appropriate roles. I think a lot of people don’t embrace that and audiences are like — this doesn’t seem real.”
‘The Departed’ actor explained that audiences want to see “the guy and the gal being in the same age bracket” and targets “believable and realistic” flicks.
Wahlberg said: “There’s many different things that I think audiences frown upon and I want to do things that are believable and realistic.
“Listen, if the right script comes, I don’t rule anything out.”
Mark’s latest role is as adventure racer Michael Light in the flick ‘Arthur the King’, which is based on Mikael Lindnord’s journey through Ecuador in the 2014 Adventure Racing World Championship when his team was accompanied by a stray dog called Arthur, and he explained the unique preparation process for the project.
He said: “Look, it’s not any type of bodybuilding contest out there. It’s who can suffer the most and who can have the most mental fortitude and toughness.
“When I was doing it, it felt like I could actually be the part until day one when I tore my meniscus and all that went out the window.”

Celebrity Big Brother stars watch on as Sharon Osbourne nominates housemate for eviction

OHMYGOSSIP — Sharon Osbourne nominates Gary Goldsmith for eviction on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The 71-year-old former ‘X Factor’ judge was given the option of putting either ‘Ibiza Weekender’ star David Potts, presenter Zeze Millz or Gary – whose niece is Catherine, Princess of Wales – up for the public vote and at risk of being the first housemate to be kicked out of the reality show house.
On tonight’s (06.03.24) episode of the ITV show, Sharon is in the Diary Room making her decision as the remaining housemates watch a live stream of her choice.

Big Brother adds: “Sharon, please give the name of the Housemate who will receive your nomination.”
Sharon reveals: “The Housemate that I nominate is Gary.”
It remains to be seen how Gary will react to the news when Sharon returns to the house, and viewers will find out her reasons for nominating him.
Earlier in the episode, with her big decision looming, she spoke to each of the three housemates in the danger zone in her lair.
Speaking to Gary first, she says: “So, we’re going to have a nice little chat Gary. Tell me why did you accept the offer to come into the house?”

The 66-year-old TV presenter entered the infamous abode alongside several stars, including former ‘X Factor’ judges Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne, on Monday night (04.03.24), but Fern insisted her views on ‘This Morning’ will be “very old” and “not terribly interesting”.

“There are some things that I think as a collective almost nation there are things you can’t and wouldn’t want to hear or see or be talked about.
“I haven’t been on that show for 15 years. I don’t know anything that’s been going on since then. And so it would be A, very old views. B, not terribly interesting, but I did love ‘This Morning’. I absolutely loved it.
“I wasn’t expecting to resign on the day I resigned.”
Fern believes she has “toughened up a bit” since her ‘This Morning’ tenure.
She said: “There’s a lot of stuff that I have obviously learned from and toughened up a bit.
“And it hasn’t all been a breeze, but I don’t regret, apart from if I’d put my mind to it, I could have done more.”
The TV presenter and author also admitted ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ viewers might be “surprised” at her “potty mouth”.
She said: “I think I’ve generally been myself [on screen].
“They might be surprised at how much I swear! I’ve got a potty mouth. I taught all my children all of the words and how to use them properly.

Lindsay Lohan confirms Freaky Friday 2 is ‘in the process’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lindsay Lohan has confirmed plans for ‘Freaky Friday 2’.
The 37-year-old actress has revealed a highly anticipated sequel is in the pipeline for the iconic 2003 body swap comedy, and she’s “excited” to reunite with Jamie Lee Curtis on the project.
She told People magazine the movie is “in the process”, adding: “[I’m] just excited to work with Jamie again and see how much further we can take it.
“Because we talk almost every other day in general, so I think we’re going to have a lot of fun with this.”
She also addressed the news on SiriusXM’s ‘Andy Cohen Live’ on Monday (04.03.24), noting that “it is” in the works.
However, she insisted: “I don’t want to say too much.”
It sounds like it’s still early days, but a script is reportedly being handled by rising screenwriter Elyse Hollander.
Last year, Lohan and Curtis both spoke about reuniting for a potential ‘Freaky Friday’ follow-up as the AGE-year-old star admitted she was leading the charge for the sequel.
She told the New York Times: “As I went around the world with ‘Halloween Ends’, people wanted to know if there was going to be another ‘Freaky Friday’.
“Something really touched a chord. When I came back, I called my friends at Disney and said, ‘It feels like there’s a movie to be made.’ ”
Lohan added: “Jamie and I are both open to that. So we’re leaving it in the hands that be.”
Lindsay made her big-time return to the movie business in 2022, when she starred in the Netflix film ‘Falling for Christmas’.
She made a cameo appearance in the recent ‘Mean Girls’ musical revival, while she is taking the lead as Madeline ‘Maddie’ Kelly in upcoming Netflix fantasy romantic comedy.
Although fans have compared the new movie to ‘Freaky Friday’, Lindsay herself has compared it to a different role from 2006.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “It definitely made me think about Just My Luck a lot. The character is very similar.”

In April, Smith admitted he and Lawrence were “excited” for ‘Bad Boys 4’.
Appearing remotely at CinemaCon, Smith said: “We’re hype, we’re excited.”
He apologised for the duo not being in Las Vegas in person, but Lawrence was quick to interject.

Smith joked: “We glad we not there because we here and they’re paying us to be here.”
The ‘Bad Boys 4’ plot is being kept under wraps, but Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will be behind the camera again and are directing from a script by Chris Bremner.
The original ‘Bad Boys’ film was released way back in 1995 and Lawrence felt the project had a transformative impact on his career.
He previously told Ebony magazine: “It was big. For us to come together and prove that we can deliver, and we can pull people into the box office – that two black stars, two sitcom stars, could make the money at the box office (was huge).
“I didn’t go to college, so I felt TV was my college years. I felt with movies, I had graduated; it was just different.”

Gary Goldsmith will share ‘loads of family anecdotes’ on Celebrity Big Brother

“Who was to think that little girl would end up our future Queen?
Despite his good intentions, he admitted he can see why his sister Carole will be feeling “slightly anxious” about his stint in the CBB house.
He added: “I think she [Carole] will probably be watching me from behind the sofa, slightly anxious, but I do think if the best version of Gary turns up, she’d be very proud of me — that’s what we were hoping for.”

He said: “Could you imagine if George and Charlotte watch? I mean it’s the type of show that a family could watch. But it’s past the watershed and will they be asleep by then?
“Maybe if I’m doing a weird task, Uncle Gary dressed as a chicken or something. But if I make people proud, I’ll be absolutely chuffed and maybe they’ll get to see it.

It has now been revealed his production company Sharpletter, which the late star owned with his wife Liliana Orzac, had £1,407,338 in the bank, according to the latest Companies House statements.
According to The Sun newspaper, that is an increase of £200,000 on the previous 12 months.

Last night, on 28th February 2024, with Lili, Dave’s wife, his family, close friend David and myself by his side, he passed away peacefully at home. All who knew Dave are devastated at his passing. His beloved wife brought him such happiness as did her children, Iza and Sergiu who Dave loved like his own.

I will miss him every day and the bond and friendship we shared over half a lifetime. I wish you god’s speed brother; you are and will remain a beacon in this world. See you on the other side. Love ya. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jordan Sangha thinks Gary Goldsmith is “up to no good” on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The 26-year-old former lawyer won the civilian series of the ITV2 reality show towards the end of 2023, and he made a panel appearance on the show’s spin-off programme following the launch of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ on Monday (04.03.24) evening.
But Jordan admitted he “cannot stand” Gary – who is the uncle of Catherine, Princess of Wales – and has found himself “cringing” at him already.
Speaking on ‘Big Brother Late and Live’, he said: “I cannot stand him already, you saw that clip of him sneaking into the bedroom, he’s up to no good already. He just makes me cringe.”
Gary was among the celebrities to enter the house on Monday alongside ‘This Morning’ legend Fern Britton, ‘Real Housewives of Cheshire’ star Lauren Simon, radio host Zeze Millz, ‘Dragons’ Den’ contestant Levi Roots, David Potts of ‘Ibiza Weekender’ fame, and West End actress Marisha Wallace.

They were tasked with choosing three celebrities to put in danger of eviction based on their first impressions, and they picked Gary, David, and Zeze.
Explaining her decision, Sharon said: “David has come to show off, he was trying too hard to be outrageous. Gary is very nervous and I don’t think he’s comfortable. Zeze – I didn’t get a sense of who she is yet.”
Both Sharon and Louis were then seen greeting their co-stars in the house as they joined their fellow celebrities for the first time.

Emily Atack reveals gender of baby live on TV

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Atack is having a baby boy.
The 34-year-old TV star is expecting her first child with partner Dr Alistair Garner, and she made a surprise announcement live on air to reveal the gender of her baby.
Speaking on ‘BBC Breakfast’, Emily – who is heading up a campaign to introduce Affirmative Consent in relationships – said: “Education in schools is so important.
“I don’t remember any sex education at school for me and I think that as a nation we are very embarrassed, repressed and shy about these things.
“But I also think that it’s important to have boys and girls talking about it together. Good education underpinned with a change in law is a start.
“I’m six months and … I wasn’t going to say this but I am going to say it … I’m having a boy!
“And so I want him to be a part of a really positive change and I want him to grow up knowing that he can talk about these things openly and enjoy his life. I want him to be on the right side of history.”
The former ‘Celebrity Juice’ star added that while she doesn’t have the “perfect solution” to the issue of consent just yet, signing a petition will create a “social norm” when it comes to talking openly about the topic.
She added: “Some days I have hope, sometimes the futility feels kind of draining but I think if we keep having these conversations, sign this petition – as I say it’s not the perfect solution but it’s a really good start – will create a societal norm that this stuff is being talked about and people won’t be so embarrassed to talk about it.”

Good Morning Britain star rejected Celebrity Big Brother approach

OHMYGOSSIP — Good Morning Britain’s Entertainment Editor Richard Arnold turned down the chance to appear in this year’s ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The 54-year-old TV presenter has confirmed he was sent a letter about starring in ITV’s first-ever ‘CBB’ series, which kicked off on Monday night (04.03.24), but hinted he rejected the opportunity due to money.
During a conversation about the new series with his ‘GMB’ colleagues Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley, he said on the morning show: “There was a conversation, a letter, an approach.”
Richard then asked: “Well why didn’t you do it?”
Afterwards, a “cha-ching” sound effect could be heard, which suggested it could be due to the amount offered.
Richard then joked he was only offered “a tenner [£10]”, in contrast to the reported £500,000 Sharon Osbourne is receiving to appear as the show’s “lodger” for a limited time during the series.
He quipped: “Sharon Osbourne, five hundred grand. A tenner for TV’s Richard Arnold!”
Susanna insisted Richard would’ve been “brilliant” if he had taken part in the series, but he didn’t sound too keen.
He explained: “I don’t know if I’d want to open the book that far, to be honest.”
Gary Goldsmith – the uncle of Catherine, Princess of Wales – was among the celebrities to enter the house on Monday alongside ‘This Morning’ legend Fern Britton, ‘Real Housewives of Cheshire’ star Lauren Simon, radio host Zeze Millz, ‘Dragons’ Den’ contestant Levi Roots, Ibiza Weekender’s David Potts, and West End actress Marisha Wallace.
‘Coronation Street’ star Colson Smith, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional Nikita Kuzmin, and ‘Love Island’ winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu are also in the line-up.

They then picked three of them, Gary, David, and Zeze, to enter the “danger zone”, meaning one of the trio will be up for the first public vote.
‘Celebrity Big Brother’ continues tonight on at 9pm on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player, and is available in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.
