Louis Walsh to voice dog

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Walsh has made a festive film for dogs.
The ‘X Factor’ judge will provide the voice of a female Pyrenean Sheepdog named Holly in ‘Merry Woofmas’, which will air on the TV channel Christmas 24 later this month, that has been specifically created for canines to enjoy over the winter holiday.
Speaking about his latest venture, the 65-year-old Irish music manager said: “I’ve absolutely loved narrating this special Christmas movie for dogs.
“It’s important to realise that dogs see the world in a very different way to us humans, and respond differently to certain audio and visuals.”
The short film was made with special audio and slow visuals in the blue and yellow to cater to dogs’ limited attention span and visible colour spectrum.
Louis explained: “I think it’s great that there’s now a Christmas film specifically developed for dogs, so the whole family can sit back, relax and enjoy a Christmas film together this festive season.”
And to ensure the movie provided an honest portrayal of the animals, the broadcasting channel Christmas 24 worked with animal behaviourist Dr Candy d’Sa and veterinarian Robert White-Adams on the script.
Candy said: “It’s been really interesting to learn how pets are stimulated by different sounds and I hope they enjoy my voice-over in this film. I’ll definitely be encouraging Sharon [Oshourne] and Simon’s [Cowell] dogs to give this a watch with me this Christmas! Merry Woofmas, everybody!”
‘Merry Woofmas’ will premiere on-air and on the Christmas 24 Facebook page on October 28 at 4:50pm.

Kem Cetinay warned pal Chris Hughes not to war with Katie Price

OHMYGOSSIP — Kem Cetinay told his friend Chris Hughes not to publish the screenshots of his flirty exchange with Katie Price.
The ‘Love Island’ winner – who struck up a friendship with the farmer in the famous villa over the summer – urged his pal to stay out of the 39-year-old former glamour model’s way because he knew it would all “blow up” in his face – but he didn’t listen and continued to share the messages with his fans on Twitter last month.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Kem, 21, said: “It kind of blew up more than it needed to be.
“I think I was with him, I weren’t in the room with him but I was with him. Honestly I was saying ‘Chris don’t do it!’ I was like ‘who are you texting?’ He’s like ‘no-one’. I looked at my thing – Chris has just written a tweet.
“I was sitting there I was like ‘Chris have you done it?’ and he was like yeah I’ve done it. When he done it in the beginning I was like: ‘Cor Chris you’ve got yourself in a battle here’.”
The 25-year-old hunk was left red faced this morning when he woke up to find out that Katie had released screenshots of the messages he had sent her via Snapchat – despite him claiming he hadn’t replied to her.
In one message, Chris branded his own girlfriend Olivia Attwood – who he met in the villa over the summer – “fame hungry” and claimed he’d had a “tough time” recently.
He then apologised to the blonde beauty for exposing her to the world last month but stated he had “no choice” but to tweet the messages she’d sent him.
In a final text, he called Katie a “lovely person” and begged for her forgiveness.
Shortly after the screenshots came to light, Chris took to his Twitter account to brand Katie a “rotten piece of sh**” in a vicious tirade and claimed he would be seeking legal advice.
He vented: “I couldn’t give a sh** who I offend anymore. I stand on my own and always will, I don’t need people to get me. Katie Price you’re a rotten piece of s**t. Be a mother, by something respectful for everyone’s sake. I showed your true colours, you couldn’t live with it. You have 52 screenshots on Snapchat since I humiliated you? Comical.
“I’ve get my whole account history from Snapchat and a media lawyer will f**k you up. No one deserves your s**t and I ain’t one to take it.
“You f**k lives. You have MY number you can see I haven’t ever sent you s**t. You’re washed up and you stink… Come on Jeremy Kyle you mug. Shaking my head the world created people like this. (sic)”

Scarlett Moffatt wants West End career

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt wants to launch a West End career.
The 27-year-old former ‘Gogglebox’ star wants to make a name for herself on stage and thinks bagging the role of Belle in the adaptation of the Disney classic ‘Beauty and the Beast’ would be the best first job.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Scarlett said: “I’d like a part in a West End musical show. I’d play Belle in ‘Beauty and the Beast’ ideally. But I’ll settle for the Mrs Potts role. It’s my ambition.”
However, for now, Scarlett has her hands full as she will be hosting the spin-off ‘Extra Camp’ after she won the main show ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ last year because bosses loved how much of a hit she was with viewers.
She said: “After last year’s Jungle experience which was a dream come true, I can’t believe I’m so lucky to have the dream continue by being part of this amazing show and joining the ITV2 ‘Extra Camp’ team, it’s going to be so much fun.”
The brunette beauty will be co-hosting alongside runner-up Joel Dommett and Joe Swash and trio can’t wait to get stuck in next month.
Joel explained: “I’m unbelievably excited to be going back into the Jungle for Extra Camp. Ever since ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ got me out of there, I’ve been wanting desperately to get back in there. I can’t blooming wait!”
Scarlett and Joel will take over from Vicky Pattison – who was crowned Queen of the Jungle in 2015 – and Chris Ramsey on the presenting panel this year, while Joe’s girlfriend Stacey Solomon has also been dropped this time around.

Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini asked to do I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

OHMYGOSSIP — Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini has been asked to do this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’.
The French businessman – who was married to Cheryl Tweedy from 2014 until their divorce in 2016 – was offered a mega-money deal to take part in the creepy-crawly show but he turned it down because he wants to focus on his restaurant rather than make a name for himself as a reality television star.
Speaking to new! magazine, he said: “It’s funny, huh? I’ve been asked to do the… I think it’s happening in the jungle. That’s not what I aspire to do. I’m a businessman, not a reality star.”
This isn’t the first time Jean-Bernard – who is known by his nickname JB – was approached for the programme as they also reached out to him last year because they were hoping he’d dish the dirt on his marriage with Cheryl, who is now in a relationship with One Direction hunk Liam Payne.
A source said previously: “When he was with Cheryl he shunned the limelight but now he’s single he wants to build up his reputation [in the UK].
“He wants to get himself on screen as is in talks to get onto a big ITV show. I’m sure the guys behind ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ would love to have him on board and JB may consider that. JB is a businessman and he’s always looking for different opportunities but whether Cheryl would be very keen on the ideas is doubtful – after all, it hasn’t been the easiest of break ups and the pair are technically still married.”
Meanwhile, producers are remaining tight-lipped on who will be heading into the Australian outback for the next series later this year, but it’s believed Gemma Collins – who hit the headlines in 2014 when she walked out of the jungle after just 72 hours because of “health issues” – will take part again.

Rochelle Humes can’t do Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Rochelle Humes would be “out of her depth” if she did ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The Saturdays singer has admitted there’s not much chance of her signing up to the ballroom and latin show in the future because she’d really struggle to learn the routines and keep up with the pace, so she’s so proud of her band mate Mollie King – who is currently taking part in this year’s series – for throwing herself in head first.
Speaking to the Mail Online, Rochelle said: “Everyone assumes that if you’ve got a music background you’ve got an advantage. But what we did in our groups was just posing. I’d be way out of my depth if I did ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.”
And, although she’s desperate to see the blonde bombshell, 30, lift the glitter ball trophy at the end of the series, Rochelle has revealed this year’s line up has caused arguments in her house as her husband Marvin’s former JLS band mate Aston Merrygold is also competing in the show and he wants him to win the programme.
The 28-year-old beauty explained: “Having Aston and Mollie in the same year… it’s like, who am I going to support? I have never found it so hard. In fact, we may as well have a permanent seat [at the studios].”
But it looks like Mollie may have a little bit of an advantage – despite Aston sitting firmly at the top of the leader board every week thus far – as her band mate Frankie Bridge has been giving her tips following her stint on the show in 2014.
Frankie – who was runner-up on the show when she competed three years ago – said recently: “So I basically forced Mollie to do it in the first place. And I just told her to really enjoy it and just go for it. I would love her to win it, I think she could. I know she’ll be amazing on it and with those legs she’s just going to look amazing in every outfit. I can’t wait to see her every week. But I only got to the final so I don’t really think that would be fair for her to win.”

Ashley Banjo joins Dancing on Ice panel?

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Banjo has joined the ‘Dancing on Ice’ judging panel.
The Diversity dancer – who shot into the limelight in 2009 when his dance troupe won ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ – has been approached for the forthcoming reboot because bosses believe he’s “extremely talented” and has a “great eye for choreography.”
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Producers are really excited about bringing Ashley into the fold. As well as being extremely talented, he has a great eye for choreography and can deliver strategic advice objectively.
“He might be a charmer, but he’s not a push-over and isn’t afraid to tell a contestant if they’re getting something wrong.”
The 28-year-old street dancer will be sitting on the panel alongside Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean – who coached the competitors on the original – but it’s not yet known whether Robin Cousins, Karen Barber and Ashley Roberts will be back.
Although Ashley doesn’t have experience when it comes to ice skating, the hunk previously judged on ‘Dance Dance Dance’ this year and ‘Got to Dance’ in 2014.
Meanwhile, Jayne and Christopher won’t be the only familiar faces to make a comeback for the revamp as Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will also present.
Holly said: “Phil and I actually met rink side on ‘Dancing on Ice’. For us to be going back together and doing it as well is lovely because it feels like such a long time ago.”
And, although the show the nation knows and loves will be back with a similar format, Phillip has admitted there are some “big changes” in the pipeline for the revamp.
He said: “There are some big changes – all for the better, I think – because it is the most dangerous show on the tele. It’s got its own home.”
The forthcoming series may see more injuries on the ice, as the professionals will be coming up with their own routines – rather than being given choreography.
‘Dancing on Ice’ will return in January.

Scarlett Moffatt wants to be Strictly Come Dancing judge

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt wants to judge ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The former ‘Gogglebox’ star trained as a ballroom dancer from the age of just six and she’d love to have some involvement in the glitzy celebrity contest, either replacing Tess Daly or Claudia Winkleman as presenter, or stepping in for Bruno Tonioli, Darcy Bussell, Craig Revel Horwood or Shirley Ballas.
Asked if she’d do ‘Strictly’, she told OK! magazine: “Definitely. With 18 years of ballroom and Latin up my sleeve, I’d love to drive back into all that glitter.
“In my dreams, I’d love to be a judge or presenter but I’d happily pull the rope that lifts the curtain up at the Blackpool Tower ballroom.”
The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ winner has other ambitions she’d like to fulfil but admits it’s hard to top landing a presenting role alongside Ant and Dec on their show ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’.
She said: “I’d love to write a children’s book, but I’m living the dream now.
“I never dreamt I’d work in telly and now I’m working with Ant and Dec, who are legends.”
Scarlett, 27, won ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ almost a year ago and is still in touch with many of her campmates.
She revealed: “We’ve got a WhatsApp group. Carol Vorderman texted me this morning to say she’s spotted an advert for this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity…’
“It’ll be exciting handing the crown over to someone else.”
Despite her happiness with her career, Scarlett has found herself in the firing line over the way she looks.
She said: “You can’t win. I got trolled for being overweight and now for being too skinny.
“I don’t agree with body shaming, whether you’re little or large.”

Brendan O’Carroll’s heart attack scare

OHMYGOSSIP — Brendan O’Carroll feared for his life when he thought he was dying from a heart attack.
The ‘Mrs Brown’s Boys’ star feared he was going to meet his maker during a terrifying experience hours after filming the comedy show’s Christmas special in Glasgow when he started to feel unwell and had to be rushed to hospital.
He said: “I thought I was having a heart attack. I had this bug and at about 2am I had to wake Jenny up. We were filming the Christmas special up in Glasgow.
“I said to her ‘You should call an ambulance’. We called the ambulance as we wanted to meet them on the street. When [wife and co-star] Jenny [Gibney] and I were in the lift we were still on 999. They told her to put her hand on my tonsil, to count my heart beat.
“It was all going on. I had the fright of my life and I thought I was a goner.”
Fortunately, the emergency services ensured Brendan he wasn’t suffering from a heart attack and it turned out to be a “violent” sickness bug.
He explained: “When I got in the ambulance they said, ‘Well it is not your heart,’ and I vomited it out for 12 hours. I had a very violent bug.”
The 62-year-old comedian – who plays matriarch Agnes Brown in the programme – also confirmed Rory Cowan will be replaced on ‘Mrs Brown’s Boys’ after he quit the show.
Speaking on Ireland’s ‘The Late Late Show’, Brendan added: “We now have a new Rory in the show. It is like he went for plastic surgery.
“We were going to get him come out of the shower like Bobby Ewing or out of a phone box like ‘Doctor Who’.”
Rory portrayed Agnes’ son of the same name in the comedy, but he quit after getting “bored” of touring.
He said: “I got tired of it, I haven’t been happy for the last two years working there. There was no row with Brendan, there was no dispute over money or anything – in fact quite the opposite.
“I got so well paid it enabled me to be able to leave, I didn’t need to stay.
“What was killing me was we were doing the exact same arenas in the exact same order we did two years ago. I would have known week-by-week where I’d be until 2022 – and it’s not like they’re different every year, it’s the same thing.
“We’re so big now that years are scheduled out. It’s not exhausting, it’s just boring.”

Aston Merrygold’s Strictly gear spices up sex life

OHMYGOSSIP — Aston Merrygold’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ costumes have spiced up his sex life.
The former JLS singer may spend the majority of his time at the moment sweating away in rehearsals with his professional partner Janette Manrara in preparation for their performance on the dance floor every weekend, but his girlfriend Sarah Richards – with whom he’s expecting his first child – certainly isn’t missing out as their bedroom antics have been friskier because she’s obsessed with his tight outfits.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Aston said: “I’ve got a baby on the way, so what can I say? Our sex life is pretty good. Clearly the show has significantly improved something there. She does like all my outfits and the moves.”
And his beautiful partner is set to get even more hot under the collar over the next coming weeks – providing Aston remains in the competition – as he has teased that he’ll show more and more flesh the longer he’s kept on the ballroom and latin show.
He explained: “Nothing has been too skimpy just yet, but maybe in a few weeks there might be a bit more skin. I want to get more out, 100 per cent. I haven’t had that chance yet. The longer I stay in the show, the more skin comes out. Do you know what I mean? I think it goes that way. So you never know.”
Meanwhile, although Aston’s sex life has rocketed over the past month or so, the same can’t be said for his co-star and fellow competitor Ruth Langsford as she recently admitted she and her husband Eamonn Holmes have no time for love.
She said: “All my time is focused on ‘Strictly’. I have a day off on Sunday. We have no time for dating. We do actually go out for dinner or lunch.
“I have to say, Eamonn is doing a lot of this in tongue-in-cheek – he’s so supportive. He’s just there, asking me what I need and so he booked Sunday lunch. He has a gin and tonic and a bowl of ice for my feet, so he’s been very supportive. Not much time for love. Not time for that.”

Josh Brolin almost said no to Deadpool 2

OHMYGOSSIP — Josh Brolin wouldn’t be in ‘Deadpool 2’ if it wasn’t for his wife.
The 49-year-old actor will appear in the highly-anticipated sequel as villain Cable opposite Ryan Reynolds as the titular character but he wasn’t going to commit to the project because of his role in ‘George and Tammy’ – a film about country and western icons George Jones and Tammy Wynette – until his spouse, Kathryn Boyd, encouraged him to read the script and he quickly changed his mind.
In an interview with Collider, Brolin said: “We were supposed to do ‘George and Tammy’ but that fell through and right after it fell through ‘Deadpool’ came in and they asked me if I was interested in doing it.
“And I was like I wanted to do ‘George and Tammy’. My wife – thank God – said just read it. I was lying on my side reading it on my phone and it was so relevant and funny and hysterical.
“I had no idea about the fan based. But we have made something really special.”
‘Deadpool 2’ – which is the follow-up to the 2016 Marvel feature ‘Deadpool’ – is set to be released in 2018, and has just wrapped filming.
The movie was directed by David Leitch, and also stars Zazie Beets and T.J. Miller.
Meanwhile, whilst details of the hotly-anticipated sequel are remaining largely under wraps, Brolin revealed he loved going back to “really fun writing” and has signed up for four movies in Fox’s ‘X-Men’ Universe.
He said: “We’ll call it our limited series. This is our limited series. Going back to really fun writing. It’s a great tone, anything goes.
“It’s a really fun stretch for me to be involved in that comedic community.”
Brolin is also starring as Mad Titan Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will be fighting the Avengers in the upcoming ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and he said it was one of the best jobs he has ever had.
He said: “I had a really good time. I had a blast playing Thanos. That’s been one of the funniest jobs I’ve ever had.”

Star Wars Han Solo spin-off to be called ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’

OHMYGOSSIP — The new ‘Star Wars’ Han Solo spin-off will be called ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’.
Ron Howard – who took over the directorial role from Phil Lord and Chris Miller – appeared in a video posted on Twitter to announce the film’s title as he confirmed filming had wrapped on the Han Solo-led story.
Appearing in the video, Howard said: “As we wrap up production, I just want to take this moment to thank the talented cast and crew for all their hard work. And to the fans out there, I hope you’ve enjoyed the pictures I’ve been sharing – photos I’ve taken from the set.”
He then turns to speak to someone off-screen – later revealed to be legendary Wookiee warrior Chewbacca, asking if “we can even say the name of the movie” yet.
A board is handed to Howard by Chewie, which he then flips to reveal the title art.
Smiling at the camera, Howard tells the fans: “I’ll see you next year.”
‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ follows the story of Han Solo, the captain of the Millennium Falcon and one of the great leaders of the Rebel Alliance. The movie will focus on a younger version of the titular character, with Alden Ehrenreich taking over the iconic role from Harrison Ford.
Han and Chewbacca will be seen first meeting Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) and they will also encounter Woody Harrelson’s alter-ego Beckett, who is believed to be a mentor to young Han who guides him on his journey to becoming a space smuggler.
And Howard recently revealed two new characters who will be appearing in the hotly-anticipated movie – Star Wars’ comic book characters Tag and Bink.
Captioning a selfie with the pair, Howard wrote: “#tagandbink ? (sic)”
The characters were created by Kevin Rubio for ‘Tag & Bink Were Here’, a series of comic books which spoofed ‘Star Wars’, in which the pair affect the events of the first and second trilogies.
Rubio was delighted to see his creations were going to get a cameo on the big screen. In response to Ron’s tweet, he wrote: “#HOLYCRAP Ron Howard just made my comic #OfficialCanon #Thanks Ron! (sic)”
‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ is slated for release in May 2018.

Rory Kinnear doesn’t know if he will be in Bond 25

OHMYGOSSIP — Rory Kinnear doesn’t know if he will be in the next James Bond movie.
The 39-year-old actor starred as Bill Tanner – MI6’s chief of staff – in three of Daniel Craig’s recent outings as 007, and while the suave spy’s return is secured, his sometime co-star hasn’t yet been given the go-ahead to appear in ‘Bond 25’.
Speaking to The Times newspaper, Kinnear said: “Each film they make they say yay or nay.
“But it’s been great fun, and an utterly unexpected element of my life. I don’t know if I am in the next one, and I never have done until they give you the call.”
Although not much is known about the plot of Bond 25 as of yet, it’s reported the movie could be incorporating some cutting edge gadgets, including spacecrafts and aquatic cars, and the 49-year-old actor’s fifth outing as the secret agent will see him embark on tougher stunts than ever before.
A source said recently: “Bond needs to keep up with the times and will be looking into Elon Musk’s world, spacecrafts, planes that can fly across the earth in an hour, cars turning into submarines.
“That’s what we need to include now. Daniel’s stunts are going to move to a new level and have to include things that were shown in space movies like ‘Interstellar’. He’s involved every step of the way, as he always is, and he’s bursting with enthusiasm and excitement.”
While Kinnear doesn’t know if he’ll be back for the next Bond film, Craig is said to be keen for Monica Bellucci – who played Lucia Sciarra – in 2015’s ‘Spectre’ to return to the franchise.
A source said “He wants Monica Bellucci back, that’s for sure.”
At the time of filming ‘Spectre’, Bellucci was 51 which made her the oldest Bond girl ever and if she does appear in the new movie – which is slated for release in November 2019 – then she would break her own record.

Reid Scott in talks to join Venom movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Reid Scott is in talks to join the ‘Venom’ movie.
According to Variety, the 39-year-old actor – who is best known for starring in political comedy series ‘Veep’ – is reportedly set to join Tom Hardy in the upcoming ‘Spider-Man’ spin-off.
Scott’s role at the time is unknown but he joins a stellar cast which includes Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed and Jenny Slater.
In May, Hardy was announced to play the traditional ‘Spider-Man’ villain in Sony Picture’s upcoming film focused around Eddie Brock – the first character to become the alien symbiote in the comic books – with the script penned by ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ writers Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner.
‘Zombieland’ and ‘Gangster Squad’ director Ruben Fleischer is on board to helm the project which will be part of Sony’s Marvel Universe – which exists outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
‘Venom’ marks the first time a Spider-Man villain will be getting their own standalone movie but the character did appear in Sam Raimi’s ‘Spider-Man 3’ with the character being played by Topher Grace.
The symbiote, created by David Michelinie and artists Todd McFarlane and Mick Zeck, was first introduced in the comic books back in 1988 and is still a fan favorite villain and has appeared in other Marvel Comics including Iron Man, Deadpool and the Hulk. Sony had planned to release a ‘Sinister Six’ movie featuring Venom but made the decision to start off with a standalone Venom adventure.
Sony and Marvel Studios reached a deal in February 2015 to allow Spider-Man – a character to which Sony bought the rights to – to be introduced into the MCU, with Tom Holland cast in the role and appearing as Spidey in a cameo capacity in ‘Captain America: Civil War’.
Holland, 20, then made his first feature-length outing as the wall crawler in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’, a movie which resulted in profit for Sony rather than Disney owned Marvel.

James Wan teases whale prop from Aquaman

OHMYGOSSIP — James Wan has posted a picture of a giant whale prop while filming ‘Aquaman’.
The 40-year-old filmmaker is currently helming the standalone movie about the King of Atlantis – which is part of the DC Extended Universe – and, four months after filming began, the director has offered a joking insight into the process.
On Monday (16.10.17), he took to instagram to share a shot of two prop men carrying the whale with the caption: “Having a whale of a time. (sic)”
The movie is being shot in Australia with ‘Game of Thrones’ actor Jason Momoa playing the titular role, with Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard and Willem Dafoe starring alongside the actor.
In a recent interview, actress Nicole Kidman confirmed she was on board with the movie and admitted the director was the big draw for her.
The 49-year-old Oscar winner said: “The reason why I love ‘Aquaman’ is James Wan is an Australian and I’ve followed his career since he started. He’s a really good friend of mine and he offered to let me play Queen Atlanna.
“As soon as he said I could wear mother-of-pearl and be a mermaid warrior I said I’m done. Please. If there is one thing I have to do in my life, I have to be that. Because you’ve got to have some fun.”
‘Aquaman’ will be released in December 2018 and follows the superhero as he is caught between a surface world that ravages the sea and the underwater Atlanteans who are ready to revolt.
But the character will first be seen in ensemble blockbuster ‘Justice League’.
The plot of ‘Justice League’ is still scarce but it will focus on Bruce Wayne/Batman (Ben Affleck) assembling a team of ‘Meta Humans’ to protect the Earth from an intergalactic threat, which will include Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and Aquaman.
‘Justice League’ hits cinemas in November.

James Gunn says Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will start new MCU Phase

OHMYGOSSIP — James Gunn has confirmed ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ will “kick-start” the new Phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige recently confirmed that the fourth ‘Avengers’ movie, which is slated for a 2019 release, will change the MCU and will signal the end of Phase 3.
Now ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ filmmaker Gunn has confirmed the next instalment of his franchise will start the new MCU.
Writing on Twitter to a fan, Gunn wrote: “Read Kevin Feige’s quotes & not the static around them. It’s the end of one long story & the beginning of another. And one of the films that will kickstart the new story will be #GotGVol3. (sic)”
The next two Avengers movies have been announced as the end of Phase 3 in the MCU and Joe Russo – who is helming the two films with his brother Anthony – accepts that fans believe they know what will happen in the plot from watching the other Marvel movies but he insists there’s going to be some shocks for cinema goers.
‘Avengers: Infinity War’ will see the hero squad – Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Bettany), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) – join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy.
The two teams will have to work together to fight intergalactic warlord Thanos, with some help from newcomers Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and the screen debut of Captain Marvel (Brie Larson).
In July, Feige also revealed the second standalone Spider-Man film will take the MCU in another direction.
Feige said: “The original 22-movie arc ends with the untitled ‘Avengers’ in May of 2019, and then two months later it will be Peter Parker and Spider-Man that usher us into the aftermath and how things proceed from there.”

Jack Black only watched Jumanji after being offered the sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Black didn’t watch the original ‘Jumanji’ until he was offered a role in the sequel.
The 48-year-old actor stars alongside the likes of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan in ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’, but Jack admits he only recently watched the 1995 original starring Robin Williams for the first time.
He confessed: “I hadn’t actually seen the original until I read this script, I thought I should watch the original. Robin Williams kicked so much ass. It’s right up there with my favourite Robin Williams performances because it’s perfectly suited to his strengths in that heightened reality.
“My favourite Robin Williams are like, what’s the one where he’s the blue genie? ‘Aladdin’. He throws down hard in ‘Aladdin’. And ‘Jumanji’. Those for me, pound for pound, are the most powerful one-two punch.”
Despite this, Jack is keen to stress that the new Jake Kasdan-directed movie is distinctly different from the original, which concerned a young man who became trapped inside a board game.
Looking forward to the new film – which is scheduled for release in December – Jack told Collider: “It’s not a reboot. It’s so different, but it is kind of a continuation of the story 20 years later. The game itself evolves.
“It’s like the game is a living organism and it moves into current day where kids don’t play board games anymore. Kids are on their iPads and playing their video games. It morphs for the times.
“I thought what was cool about that first one was he’s in the game and he pops out of the game after 20 years, but you never see that, you’re never in the game in the jungle. And this time, we’re going into the game.”
