Gerard Butler had to add extra action to Geostorm

OHMYGOSSIP — Gerard Butler had to reshoot scenes for ‘Geostorm’ because fans wanted him to “kick some ass”.
The 47-year-old actor plays NASA scientist Jake Lawson, who sets out to save the world from the threat of a deadly super-storm, in the futuristic thriller and he had to return to the set to add in more action scenes in response to feedback from test audiences.
He said: “The test audience said, ‘Wait a minute, Gerard Butler isn’t kicking ass.’
“So suddenly there’s a scene where I’m kicking the s**t out of someone. At one point I had to smash his head into a desk. He smacked his head off a computer and he had a huge welt, but he didn’t are.”
Gerard enjoyed the role because it was so different to anything else he’s played.
He said: “He’s kind of the opposite to to most characters I’ve played, who are more together and focused, which I loved.
“There’s a beautiful vulnerability to him. Jake’s not an action hero, he’s an unlikely hero.
“His heroics come through his mind, as opposed to his physicality.
“He probably wouldn’t see himself as courageous and his mind and personality have got him into as much trouble as they have good.
“He can be stubborn, aloof, and he doesn’t suffer fools gladly.”
The Scottish actor was hooked on the “epic” movie from the minute he read the script.
He told SFX magazine: “It felt very tantalising.
“I love movies with epic proportions and epic ideas.
“Sometimes they don’t work, but if they do, you’re gonna scare the s**t out of the audience and they’re gonna go for a ride and have a great time.”

Leonardo DiCaprio’s warning to Kate Winslet

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Winslet was warned she would “probably lose a limb” making ‘The Mountain Between Us’ by her friend Leonardo DiCaprio.
The 42-year-old actress shot the plane crash survival movie in temperatures of -38 deg C in the Canadian Rockies and turned to her ‘Titanic’ co-star for advice before beginning work on the project because he’d had a similar gruelling experience on ‘The Revenant’.
She said: “[Leo] said to me, ‘You are bloody out of your mind to do this. Do you know how hard it’s going to be? In those conditions, you’ll probably lose a limb.’ ”
But though she found it tough, Kate thinks her pal had it much worse when he shot his Oscar-winning role.
She laughed: “He climbed into the carcass of a dead animal, naked. I think he’s got me well and truly beaten.”
As well as ‘Titanic’, the two stars have previously reunited on screen in ‘Revolutionary Road’ and would love to team up again in the future.
Kate said: “We have zero plans [to work together again] but he’s one of my dear best friends. I hope we make it happen.”
The British actress – who has children Mia, 17, and Joe, 13, from her previous marriages, and son Bear, three, with husband Ned Rocknroll – enjoyed working with Idris Elba on ‘The Mountain Between Us’ and admitted she was the envy of all her female friends because she got close to him.
She told Britain’s OK! magazine: “He is utterly yummy and fabulous. All my friends were out having lunch and especially after this film, they say to me, ‘Can we please, please live vicariously through you? Tell us, what was it like kissing that man?’
“I tell them everything and more!”

Katie Price says Chris Hughes’ career will suffer same fate of Gareth Gates’ if he continues to lie

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Price has warned Chris Hughes to “remember” the fate of “Gareth Gates” after he denied he had flirted with her over text messages and branded her a “rotten piece of s**t”.
The ‘Loose Women’ star has issued a stark warning to the ‘Love Island’ hunk, referencing the fate of her former fling who denied he had slept with her when he was 17-years-old.
Back then Katie – who took Gareth’s virginity – declared he was lying by saying they weren’t together and Gareth’s music career eventually dried up, with the singer admitting in 2014 while appearing on ‘The Big Reunion’ that the romance had damaged his career.
And describing the struggles she’s faced over the last 12 months in her personal life, Katie told BUILD: “I lost a baby, found out my husband’s cheating, my mum’s dying … In between that I’ve got that little t**t Chris Hughes piping up about some messages that I don’t really care about.
“I will not be called a liar. I wish he will just leave it – who cares? Just don’t call me a liar when I’m not. He’s piping on about it – means you’re guilty
Then she hit out with a stark warning to Chris – who has released the track ‘Little Bit Leave It’ with Kem Cetinay – adding: “Remember Gareth Gates? He lied and as soon as it came out, his career went downhill.”
Chris unleashed a vicious tirade about Katie in which he claimed he was planning to seek legal advice after she “f***ed” his life by exposing 52 widely-discussed messages she claimed to have received from him.
Taking to his Twitter account on Tuesday (17.10.17) night, the 25-year-old heartthrob vented: “I couldn’t give a sh** who I offend anymore. I stand on my own and always will, I don’t need people to get me.
“Katie Price you’re a rotten piece of s**t. Be a mother, by something respectful for everyone’s sake. I showed your true colours, you couldn’t live with it. You have 52 screenshots on Snapchat since I humiliated you? Comical.
“I’ve get my whole account history from Snapchat and a media lawyer will f**k you up. No one deserves your s**t and I ain’t one to take it.
“You f**k lives. You have MY number you can see I haven’t ever sent you s**t. You’re washed up and you stink… Come on Jeremy Kyle you mug. Shaking my head the world created people like this. (sic)”

Alesha Dixon ‘saddened’ by Sir Bruce Forsyth’s death

OHMYGOSSIP — Alesha Dixon was “deeply saddened” by Sir Bruce Forsyth’s death.
The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ panellist – who previously worked with the showbiz legend for three years when she was a judge on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ – was distraught when the veteran broadcaster passed away in August because he was a great friend and source of “advice and support” for her.
She said: “I was deeply saddened by [his death]. It really affected me. He played a massive part in my life, he gave me priceless advice and support over the years and I’ll always love him.”
The 38-year-old beauty, who won ‘Strictly’ in 2007, sparked controversy when she quit the ballroom show to join the ‘BGT’ panel in 2012, but she’s still a big fan of the BBC contest and can’t wait to tune in to the new series.
Asked if she’ll be watching, she said: “Absolutely, I was a fan of the show even before I was on it. My friend Aston [Merrygold] is doing it so I want to see how he gets on and I’m friends with Mollie [King] too.”
Alesha – who has three-year-old daughter Azura with partner Azuka Ononye – recently stepped in as a guest judge on ‘The X Factor’ and though she had a great time and was well-received by the audience, it isn’t a job she wants permanently.
She told OK! magazine “I was waiting for everyone to start attacking me but the reaction was the opposite. Simon [Cowell] and I have a really good relationship, we laughed all day. I was honoured they asked me, but I have no plans to join the show. I’m very, very happy on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.”

Liam Payne: Simon Cowell ‘desperate’ for Chery to return to X Factor in 2018

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Payne says Simon Cowell is “desperate” for Cheryl Tweedy to
return as a judge on ‘The X Factor’ next year.
The former Girls Aloud member gave birth to the couple’s son Bear in
March and her 24-year-old boyfriend has insisted that the music mogul
is prepared to replace Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne or Louis
Walsh on the panel with Cheryl in 2018 when she’s ready to return to
work.
Speaking ahead of Cheryl’s appearance alongside Simon at the Judges’
Houses, Liam said: “Cheryl and Simon spoke about her going back next
year. Obviously Simon is desperate to get her back.”
He added: “Cheryl and Simon have such a lovely relationship.
“Obviously she’s been off for quite a long time with Bear but it was
great for her to get back out and do the Judges’ Houses.”
The One Direction star launched his solo career shortly after Bear was
born and says the couple are fully supportive of each other’s career
choices, however he admitted he is keen to see Cheryl “get back to
work”.
He said: “We’re all edging for her to get back to work, it’s just
finding the right time and the right way to do things.
“This is the first time she’s been away from the industry for a long
period of time in her whole career and sometimes that’s a beautiful
thing to have.
“She’s got the opportunity to choose exactly what she wants to do and
I think it’s great.
“When I look back on it, it was crazy that I went back to work really early on.”
Meanwhile, he praised his girlfriend’s mothering nature and said she
couldn’t be a better mother to their tot.
He said: “She’s the most fantastic mum, which was no shock to me. I
knew she was going to be incredible.”

Debbie McGee offers advice to fellow widows: Throw nothing away

OHMYGOSSIP — Debbie McGee has advised fellow widows to keep hold of their late spouse’s belongings for at least “the first year”.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star lost her beloved magician husband Paul Daniels 19 months ago after he was diagnosed with a massive brain tumour, and she has offered words of advice to anyone who is also in mourning, saying that they should “throw out nothing” while they are still in shock from their partner’s death.
She said: “I would advise other widows to throw out nothing for the first year. You don’t know what you are doing, you might regret it later.”
Debbie and Paul were married for 28 years and the blonde beauty opened up about adjusting to life without the TV legend and admitted she finds it tough now that his death has sunk in.
She continued in an interview with the Daily Mail newspaper: “All the birthdays and anniversaries are awful, painful, horrendous, but you get through them somehow. Then it becomes more real because the shock goes. Now I realise that Paul is really not coming back, and that is hard.”
Debbie – who worked as Paul’s stage assistant throughout their lives together – is now competing on the BBC ballroom and talent show with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice and admitted she is enjoying being front and centre stage.
She continued in an interview with the Daily Mail newspaper: “Paul had such a big personality, he was The One, not me. On television shows they always held me back because I was the little assistant in a box, I was always the little wife, edited out.
“You know, I haven’t just suddenly developed a personality for ‘Strictly’ because Paul has died. I have always been cheeky and bubbly and a joker, but the public never really got to see me like that.”

Megan McKenna quits TOWIE

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan McKenna has quit ‘The Only Way is Essex’.
The 25-year-old beauty has sensationally walked away from ITVBe show and said it has left her emotionally drained following the breakdown of her relationship with co-star Pete Wicks, who she split from amid claims she cheated with her ex-boyfriend Harry Eden.
Thanking the show for their support, Megan said: “I’ve absolutely loved my time on TOWIE, although this series has been emotionally draining so I need a break from all the drama and lies.
“I’d like to thank everyone at Lime Pictures and ITV for their ongoing support.”
However, Megan hasn’t closed the door on Essex for good and the confident star – who recently topped the iTunes chart with her debut country single ‘High Heeled Shoes’ – insisted she would be prepared to return one day but wants to focys on her music.
She added to The Sun newspaper: “My music is really important to me and I just want to focus as much of my time on that as possible but I’d like to think I might return at some point.”
Megan will appear in the next two episodes and a spokesperson for the series confirmed that the door will be left open for her return in the future.
They said: “We have mutually agreed with Megan that it’s time for her to take a break from the show but we extend our ‘open door policy’ should Megan want to return assuming it’s relevant for the stories and people we’re following at the time.”
Meanwhile, the star insisted tha she didn’t cheat on Pete with her ex-boyfriend – who she has dated on and off since the beginning of last year, after Pete set tongues wagging earlier this week when it was reported that he had told his friends he felt like a “mug” for standing by the brunette beauty, 25.
And, although it’s still early days for Megan and Harry, it’s believed they are determined to make a go of things because they have an undeniable bond.
An insider said: “Megan has always had this bond with Harry. It’s no surprise she turned to him when things got hard with Pete and now she’s single they’re seeing how things go before deciding whether to go for a full on relationship.”

Armando Iannucci wanted to make Death of Stalin as real as possible

OHMYGOSSIP — Armando Iannucci was adamant he wanted to make ‘The Death of Stalin’ feel as “real as possible” even though it is a funny film.
The 53-year-old filmmaker is known for his satirical comedies, including ‘The Thick of It’, and Iannucci said he wanted his latest movie – which is based around the death of the Soviet Union dictator Joseph Stalin – to show how people lived through Joseph Stalin’s reign despite it being a comedy.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph newspaper, Iannucci said: “I wanted them to change and people’s perceptions of them to change over the course of the film. And although it was a comedy, it was very important for me to make it feel as real as possible. I went to Stalin’s old dacha outside Moscow and to the Kremlin and I talked to people who lived through the purges.
“I remember one old man telling me that the trick was to always go to bed wearing as many layers of clothing as possible.
“That way if the police came for you in the middle of the night, at least you would be reasonably warm.”
‘The Death of Stalin’ focuses on the communist dictator as he lives out his final days and the chaos that erupts in the nation in the wake of his death.
The film is an adaptation of a graphic novel of the same name and stars Jason Isaacs, Steve Buscemi, Olga Kurylenko, Jeffrey Tambor and Monty Python legend Michael Palin.
But Iannucci recalled he told the cast that despite the film being a satirical comedy, they “must always be respectful” to the horrific realities for people who lived under Stalin’s regime.
He said: “I remember saying to everyone at the start, this is comedy, but we must always be very respectful of the fact that millions of people died as a result of Stalin’s orders. The comedy really is a nervous comedy of hysteria. Hopefully, the laughter comes from these people’s struggles to survive, to do anything to save their own skins and advance their careers.”

Josh Brolin hints the Russo brothers are done after Avengers 4

OHMYGOSSIP — Josh Brolin has hinted Anthony and Joe Russo will be done with the Marvel Cinematic Universe after ‘Avengers 4’.
The two brothers helmed ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, ‘Ant-Man’ and ‘Captain America: Civil War’ before being handed the job of directing the next two ‘Avengers’ blockbusters and are currently working on the third epic instalment ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. Brolin – who is set to star as the mad titan Thanos – has hinted the Russos will no longer be part of the MCU after the fourth movie.
In an interview with Collider, the 49-year-old actor said: “I think that they’re in a position very openly and raw-ly where they’re like, ‘We would never do this again. This is a one-time deal. To put this many successful actors together is such a pain in the ass, but it’s been worth it. We’re doing two movies. One back to back and this is it for us. Then we’ll go off in another direction.’
“But this is a very, very, very ambitious project that I think is going to pay off in a big way.”
‘Avengers: Infinity War’ will see the hero squad – Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Bettany), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) – join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy.
The two teams will have to work together to fight Thanos, with some help from newcomers Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and the screen debut of Captain Marvel (Brie Larson).
Brolin – who is also starring alongside Ryan Reynolds as Cable in ‘Deadpool 2’ – said playing Thanos was one of the “greatest experiences” he has had.
He said: “When playing a character like this it’s like there’s something – I don’t know any other way to put it, it really turned out to be one of the greatest experiences I’ve had. I’m still not done, but it’s been incredible to be able to work with the Russos, to be able to work with these guys.
“I had no idea. It’s just a different type of acting, but when they showed me a little six-minute teaser of a scene that I had done, I was so blown away by how next-level this digital process is and how real it feels.
“I don’t know how I could be anything but happy. If everybody hates me at the end of it, I don’t know, will it be worth it if it’s a great movie? Maybe.”

Jason Isaacs nearly said no to Harry Potter role

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Isaacs almost turned down playing Lucius Malfoy in ‘Harry Potter’.
The 54-year-old actor starred as the Death Eater in the hit movie franchise but originally auditioned for the role as Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher Gilderoy Lockhart – which ended up going to Sir Kenneth Branagh – and was only persuaded by his family and friends.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Isaacs said: “I didn’t audition for Lucius, I auditioned for Gilderoy Lockhart. I was mightily p***ed off when they asked me, ‘Would I mind reading for a different part?’
“I was about to go play Captain Hook [in ‘Peter Pan’] and didn’t want to do two children’s villains. I went back in and read then went home.
“[My agent] said, ‘Just think about it over the weekend.’ I said, ‘No I don’t want to think about it. It’s fun and lovely and flattering but I am not playing two children’s villains.’ Over the weekend, everybody I knew called me: nieces, nephews, godchildren and then the parents. They all tried to persuade me to take the job, not because they cared about me but because they wanted to visit the set. So I took the job and thank God I did!”
Isaacs can currently be seen as the Soviet Union Red Army officer Georgy Zhukov, who was the Chief of General Staff and a member of the Politburo in Joseph Stalin’s Communist Soviet Union government in the 1940s and 1950s, in Armando Iannucci’s satirical comedy movie ‘Death of Stalin’.
Isaacs is also starring in the remake of the sci-fi TV franchise ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ and the series has received a lot of backlash due to the diversity of hiring a black female actor.
However, Isaacs admitted he loves the passion of the Twitter trolls from far-right hate groups and said it is “exciting” to be in the centre of it.
He told The Guardian: “I kind of love their passion. I love when they hate the show, or they say they hate the show and it’s always for some minute technical detail.
“It’s exciting to be at the centre of those kinds of scholarly rows.”

David Fincher had conversation about directing a Star Wars film

OHMYGOSSIP — David Fincher declined the chance to direct a ‘Star Wars’ movie because of the pressure involved in helming one of the blockbusters.
The 55-year-old filmmaker started his film career working in the visual effects department on the last movie of the original sci-fi trilogy, ‘Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi’, and he was sounded out by President of Lucasfilm and ‘Star Wars’ brand manager Kathleen Kennedy about helming one of the new sequels but he decided against it because of the huge commitment involved and the fear of failing the franchise.
Speaking to Empire magazine, Fincher said: “I talked to producer Kathleen Kennedy about that and look, it’s a plum assignment. But I don’t know what’s worse: being George Lucas on the set of the first one where everyone’s going, ‘Alderaan? What the hell is this?’
“Where everyone’s making fun, but I can’t imagine the kind of intestinal fortitude one has to have following up the success of these last two. It’s a whole other level. One is that you have to endure the withering abuse of Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher, and the other is you have to live up to a billion or a billion-five, and that become its own kind of pressure. I think ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ director Irvin Kershner had the best job. He had a pretty great script and he had the middle story. He didn’t have to worry about where it started and he didn’t have to worry about where it ended. And he had the great reveal.”
Fincher was also wary of committing a solid two years of his life to a ‘Star Wars’ adventure because the saga would become all-consuming, leaving little room for anything else.
He added: “You’d have to really clear you head, I think. You’d have to really be sure this is what you wanted to do because either way it’s two years of your life, 14 hours a day, seven days a week.”
Fincher’s filmography reads like a list of some of Hollywood’s greatest ever thrillers and includes ‘Seven’, ‘Zodiac’, ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ and ‘Gone Girl’.
His latest project is Netflix TV series ‘Mindhunter’.

Judi Dench had glorious time on The Orient Express

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Judi Dench claims the cast of ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ were forced to be friends because they were stuck on a train.
The ‘James Bond’ actress is part of an all-star cast, which also includes the likes of Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Daisy Ridley, Willem Defoe and Michelle Pfeiffer, in a new big screen adaptation of the Agatha Christie classic, and they had a “glorious” time together, even though they rarely got a break from one another during down time from filming.
She told the Daily Mail newspaper: “We had the most glorious time.
“You had to be part of the company, because nobody could get off!”
The 82-year-old actress particularly enjoyed Josh Gad’s company, branding him “the naughtiest”.
But she added: “Not only that: he stayed in the hotel I use when I am up in London. He’s ruined my reputation!”
Judi – who plays a formidable Russian princess in the movie – thinks it is “essential” to have fun on her movie sets and admitted it’s one of the reason why the new film marks her tenth collaboration with director Sir Kenneth Branagh, who also stars as infamous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot.
She said: “I don’t want to work with anyone who hasn’t got a sense of humour.
“It’s essential! I simply am not interested in working with them if they’re miserable by nature.
“It’s like the froth on the top of Guinness. You have to have the froth, and then you get to the real thing.
“You discover people through larks. I always get into trouble with Ken – and I like that!”
Despite the big names in the cast, Kenneth admitted some of them were nervous about meeting Judi – who played M in seven ‘James Bond’ films between 1995 and 2012 – though she doesn’t understand why.
She said: “I don’t know why I should get that reputation – I’ve never been grand in any way.
“I don’t think there’s anyone I’ve ever worked with, in 60 years, who would say that I’ve ever been very grand, or frightening.
“Well, I like to frighten Daniel Craig. And Pierce Brosnan. I used to frighten the bejeezus out of them. But apart from that… ”

Tomas Alfredson couldn’t finish The Snowman

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Snowman’ director Tomas Alfredson ran out of time to finish shooting the movie.
The 52-year-old filmmaker stepped in to direct Michael Fassbender and Rebecca Ferguson in the adaptation of Jo Nesbo’s crime novel after Martin Scorsese moved to executive producer and he claims things moved so quickly, he didn’t get to film 10-15% of the script.
He told the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation: “It happened very abruptly. Suddenly we got notice that we had the money and could start the shoot in London. Our shoot time in Norway was way too short, we didn’t get the whole story with us and when we started cutting we discovered that a lot was missing.”
The Swedish director claimed the murder mystery was missing some essential scenes needed to complete the movie but he didn’t realise the extent of the problem until he was in the editing room.
He said: “It’s like when you’re making a big jigsaw puzzle and a few pieces are missing so you don’t see the whole picture.
“When we started cutting we discovered that a lot was missing.”
Meanwhile, Michael recently admitted filming out in the Norwegian snow wasn’t as “bad” as he’d expected, especially because he wasn’t allowed to wear a coat for the outdoor scenes.
He said: “It was cold, but not really that bad. It’s a very dry cold there, so it was quite refreshing. I enjoyed it, actually – it was invigorating. The air was so clean.
“I liked it because before I went out there, I was thinking, ‘Ugh, it’s going to be brutal.’ But it wasn’t that bad.”

Hollyoaks’ Nick Pickard is ‘really clumsy’

OHMYGOSSIP — Hollyoaks’ Nick Pickard is “really clumsy.”
Gary Lucy thoroughly enjoyed acting out the fight scene between his alter-ego Luke Morgan and Nick’s character Tony Hutchinson, which will air next week, but he has admitted it was a struggle to keep on their feet because his co-star is so wobbly.
Speaking to the Radio Times Online, he said: “I love working with Nick, he is as clumsy as anything and we just always have so much fun when we film together. Because of his clumsiness, he ended up accidentally hurting me which made it even funnier!”
A fight erupts between the Luke and Tony after the alcoholic finds out that his old pal had shared a smooch with his girlfriend Mandy Richardson (Sarah Jayne Dunn), who used to be married to the restaurant owner, after they split up over his boozing.
Gary explained: “Diane [Tony’s wife] tells Luke that Mandy and Tony have kissed and he immediately sees red without understanding any of the circumstances. Luke waits for Tony to turn up at Nightingale’s restaurant and when he does, Luke just loses it and attacks him. I think that Mandy is Luke’s true love and it would be so nice for them to eventually get together and for Luke to be in a place where he is worthy of her love.”
But Luke is set for even more turmoil over the next coming months as his rapist Mark Gibbs (played by Colin Parry) will also be making a return.
The show’s executive producer Bryan Kirkwood explained previously: “When one of our writers pitched the return of Mark Gibbs, you could cut the atmosphere with a knife. Everyone almost burst into tears with the idea of what that would mean to Luke.
“We will be seeing the return of Mark later this year. He was punished at the time, but he now looks like he’s got a lovely, charmed life. To Luke, who is still devastated and drinking himself into a stupor every night, that’s a bitter pill to swallow.
“They’re really heavyweight performances and episodes. It’s thrilling to be able to revisit the past in order to motivate Luke’s future.”

Gordon Ramsay feared for his life filming documentary

OHMYGOSSIP — Gordon Ramsay feared for his life when he filmed his documentary ‘Gordon Ramsay on Cocaine’.
The 50-year-old celebrity chef met with the gang controlling the drug trade in South America for his latest programme, and the star has admitted the area was “very dangerous” because his team were “stitched [up] with a dummy address”, but terror set in when he was handed a glock pistol in case anything “kicked off”.
Speaking about the experience on ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’, which will air on ITV on Saturday (21.10.17), the foul-mouthed culinary mastermind said: “It was very dangerous. We had an amazing fixture on the ground for three months prior to entering into that part of the neighbourhood. Then when we got there we got stitched with a dummy address, spotters all on the roofs, windows down, we had to take off trackers.
“I think for the first time in my life when I walked inside this room, [there were] AK47s to glocks to wraps of coke, bullets sprayed everywhere, in a neighbourhood next to a ‘chop house’ where they used to take the bodies to chop them. So these three guys, they handed me the glock and I think it was the first time I felt that, ‘Damn, if this kicks off, I need a gun.’
“There was a possibility [of me being kidnapped].”
Though Gordon was anxiouS, he tried to put any thoughts of danger to the back of his mind.
The British restaurateur – who has Megan, 19, Holly, 17, Matilda, 15, as well as Holly and Jack, both 17, with his wife Tana – said: “I was with an amazing journalist who has an incredible relationship over the last decade with these guys. He was my benchmark and a great support.
“But I never really wanted to think about that because I wanted to see what happens when these deals get done and what happens when it goes t*ts up, and why there is such violence in this cocaine warehouse inside Andorus and I never wanted to be criticised for tip-toeing over things, I need to get, as you know, straight to the crux.”
