Aubrey Plaza’s relatable character

OHMYGOSSIP — Aubrey Plaza thinks “everyone” can relate to her ‘Ingrid Goes West’ character.
The 33-year-old actress plays loner Ingrid in the black comedy, which sees her develop an obsession with hipster Taylor (Elizabeth Olsen) after coming across her Instagram account, prompting her to move to California to infiltrate her life, and she insists her alter ego’s extreme behaviour will strike a chord with most viewers.
She said “I think everyone can relate to where Ingrid is coming from.
“Just wanting to be like someone else, or wanting someone to like you so badly, or being obsessed with someone else’s identity. Just focusing all of your energy on somebody else’s life online — I think that’s the thing that people do.
“They go down these rabbit holes on Instagram or Facebook, and you spend a lot of energy looking at people’s lives, and you can’t help but compare yourself to them, and it just feeds this weird toxic part of your brain.”
Aubrey believes the movie has perfectly captured the digital age and current obsession with social media.
She added in an interview with The Sunday Times: “It does succeed in capturing a very specific time that we’re in.”
The former ‘Parks and Recreation’ star thinks she is very different to how people perceive her to be.
She said: “I was more type A at school than people would assume.
“I was always the president of whatever club was around. I was way sillier and outgoing and funny than deadpan, sulking in the corner. The weird, creepy girl, that’s not me at all.”

George Clooney doesn’t want to act so much

OHMYGOSSIP — George Clooney admits there aren’t “many” acting roles he’s interested in any more.
The 56-year-old star is largely working behind the camera these days, having last appeared on screen in ‘Money Monster’ in early 2016, and he admits it would take a really exciting script for him to sign on for a new movie these days.
Asked if he’s done with acting, he said: Look, I acted for a long time and, you know, I’m 56. I’m not the guy that gets the girl any more… I shouldn’t be the guy that gets the girl.
“But, look, if somebody’s got Paul Newman in ‘The Verdict’, I’d jump. But there aren’t that many like that.
“Acting used to be how I paid the rent, but I sold a tequila company for a billion f***ing dollars. I don’t need money.”
The ‘Up in the Air’ actor – who has twins Alexander and Ella, five months, with wife Amal – was paid $50,000 to write, produce and direct his latest film, ‘Suburbicon’, and admitted he’d rather push for projects he believes in than put money ahead of creativity.
He told The Sunday Times Culture magazine: “I have money, so I can fight to make movies I want to make.
“If you look at what I’ve been in over the past 15 years, for the most part they weren’t going to get made if I didn’t do them.
“Nobody was going to make ‘Good Night, and Good Luck’, ‘Michael Clayton’ or ‘Up in the Air’, and I fought to get those out there.
“Pitt’s doing that a lot too. Brad does it, and that’s a good use of celebrity, or whatever the f**k that is.
“I’ll make money other ways if I have to. I used to do coffee commercials.”

Gal Gadot ‘scheduled’ pregnancy for work

OHMYGOSSIP — Gal Gadot “scheduled” her second pregnancy so it wouldn’t disrupt her film career.
The 32-year-old actress – who has daughters Alma, six, and Maya, seven months, with husband Yaron Versano – admitted she had wanted another child for some time but carefully planned the best time to conceive to cause minimal disruption to her work commitments.
She said: “I scheduled it so I wasn’t going to be too pregnant for ‘Justice League’ or when I promoted ‘Wonder Woman’.
“I had a lot of luck. It’s been difficult but I had wanted to have a second child for a while.”
Gal was in the early stages of her pregnancy while filming ‘Justice League’ and even though she wasn’t feeling her best, she knew she had to just get on with things.
She said: “It was challenging with morning sickness and migraines. But you adjust. You get used to feeling like s**t and having to perform.”
The Israeli star stars alongside the likes of Ben Affleck, Jason Momoa, Henry Cavill and Ezra Miller in ‘Justice League’ and felt very “safe” amongst her male co-stars.
She said: “Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince are the ones to go out and recruit the league and it’s a fun movie.
“And making the film with so many men, I’ve never felt so safe. Big men!”
The success of ‘Wonder Woman’ has seen Gal inundated with offers of work but she appreciates the fact that won’t always be the case.
She told Glamour magazine: “I’m super-appreciative because I know it’s all a big game and the rules are known in advance.
“When you’re successful, the phone will ring, if a film flops, there will be crickets. So I take everything with a grain of salt and enjoy it while it’s there.”

Ruth Langsford: Strictly’s good for my marriage

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Langsford insists ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ has been good for her marriage.
The 57-year-old presenter admitted her spouse Eamonn Holmes “loves” seeing her glamorous transformations every weekend and he was particularly impressed when she donned a long blonde wig for movie week last month.
She said: “I’m not worried about a curse. If anything, it’s been the opposite – Eamonn loves me looking so glamorous.
“On a Saturday night, before I go into make-up, he’ll ask who he’s going home with that night. The blonde hair was a very big hit.”
The ‘Loose Women’ presenter knows she isn’t the best dancer in the competition but she’s having a great time and hopes she’s inspiring other women her age.
She told You magazine: “I’ve always loved the show and always wanted to be asked to do it.
“I just wanted to learn to dance. And I wanted to do it for a whole generation of menopausal women who haven’t given up on themselves just because they are in their 50s. For me, this was about hot moves, not hot flushes, and throwing myself into the glamour, sequins and drama of this incredible show.
“I’m not a trained dancer but I still put myself out there and try because I want to have fun and see how far I can go.”
And Ruth – who is partnered with Anton Du Beke – would recommend dance as an effective form of exercise for anyone her age.
She said: “With all the dancing I’ve finally got my waist back. So if any woman my age is feeling they are losing their body to the menopause, my advice would be to get dancing.”
Ruth is in awe of fellow contestant Debbie McGee, 59, who has consistently topped the leaderboard on the show.
She said: “That woman is incredible. She’s giving all the young ones a run for their money. I just watch her with my mouth open, thinking: ‘How can her body do that?’ ”

Jamie Lomas signs up for I’m A Celebrity…

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Lomas is set to take part in ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The 42-year-old actor – who announced earlier this week he’s leaving his role as Warren Fox in ‘Hollyoaks’ – is looking forward to flying out to Australia and getting stuck into the tough challenges on the reality TV contest.
A source said: “This is a really exciting time for him. He can’t wait to get into the camp, meet his campmates and get stuck into the challenges.
“He isn’t daunted by any of the trials at the moment, but let’s see what happens when he gets out there.”
And bosses are said to be hoping the hunky actor – who was previously married to Kym Marsh – will catch the eye of one of the female contestants, who are believed to include The Saturdays singer Vanessa White and ‘Made in Chelsea’ star Georgia Toffolo.
The insider added to The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Jamie is a good-looking single guy so they are hoping sparks will fly with one of the single girls in the camp.
“There will be plenty of gorgeous girls in there he could end up hitting it off with.
“And the bosses know viewers love a jungle romance. Jamie is a really down-to-earth, funny bloke but also doesn’t suffer fools. So they think he’s a great signing.”
A spokesperson for the show refused to confirm whether Jamie will be on the programme.
The actor announced a few days ago he’s set to bow out of ‘Hollyoaks’ – in which he originally starred from 2006 to 2011 before returning last year – but won’t rule out another stint in the future.
He said: “He’s such a fun character to play – playing baddies are the best characters to play on TV. I’ve been very fortunate that Bryan Kirkwood (the show’s executive producer) is a huge friend of mine – an amazing person as well. Creating Warren, ‘Hollyoaks’ have done such an amazing job and I’m eternally grateful for giving me that opportunity.
“I’m just going to try other things and I like to go in and then have a little time there and then go out. Who knows? Maybe I’ll go back in time and who knows? I think I’ve just given you that [he’s not going to be killed off].”

Cheryl Tweedy in X Factor talks

OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl Tweedy is in talks for a £1.5 million deal to return to ‘The X Factor’.
The 34-year-old singer has had a string of meetings with Simon Cowell – who she recently helped at Judge’s Houses – about getting her place back on the panel as Nicole Scherzinger isn’t expected to be back next year.
A source said: “It looks like Cheryl will be back next year. Simon knows Nicole is likely to leave and he wants a big name, and some much-needed glamour on the panel.
“He knows he will get that with Cheryl and she would be a really popular signing and a huge hit.
“Simon has had his own problems lately but has been really keen to get the deal nailed down.
“He is a huge fan of hers and has been turning on the charm to ensure she comes back.
“They have had several meetings about it and Simon has had his top people on the case to make sure it is all sorted…
“Simon and Cheryl are both happy with the deal and they hope the fans will share their feelings. He is cock-a-hoop and thinks she will be great.”
And long-term panelist Louis Walsh, 65, is also keen to see the ‘Only Human’ singer – who has son Bear, seven months, with boyfriend Liam Payne – back on the panel alongside himself, Sharon Osbourne, 65, and 58-year-old Simon.
The insider added to The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Louis was a huge factor in this. He wants Cheryl back as well and agrees getting her would be a massive coup.
“It is also clear that they need someone younger on the panel when Nicole leaves.
“And Cheryl will bring in a more youthful audience, as well as attracting blokes to watch the show.”
Nicole is the only judge to have not yet signed up for next year and put her future on the programme in doubt when she recently admitted she is “incredibly ambitious and still have a lot of things musically I want to achieve”.
Cheryl first appeared on the show in 2008 but quit in 2011 for a short-lived stint on the US version of the programme. She then returned for two seasons in 2014 and 2015.

Leon Mallett leaves X Factor

OHMYGOSSIP — Leon Mallett has left ‘The X Factor’.
The 22-year-old hopeful was booted out of the competition on Saturday night (04.11.17) during the latino-themed week after failing to impress the public with his version of Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams’ ‘Get Lucky’.
Speaking to host Dermot O’Leary after his exit, Leon – who returned to the competition for the live shows as the public’s wildcard act – said: “The whole thing has been a highlight. Just sharing the stage with such talent, I just feel humbled and blessed to share it with all these guys.
“It’s been a great year, everyone is amazing. Thanks to the public for voting me back and letting me have that opportunity.”
Meanwhile, Rak-Su were crowned the winner’s of Saturday night’s show, which saw Louis Walsh’s Boys category go head to head with Simon Cowell’s Groups. They will now compete with Sunday night’s winner to win this week’s money can’t buy prize of a studio session with a legendary producer and a chance to work on and record their own single.
After his nasty fall down the stairs last week, Simon returned to the judging panel but was the butt of many jokes throughout the night.
As Dermot introduced Simon to the studio audience, he quipped: “He’s a big fan of music but for some reason recently he’s really gone off Steps? Don’t know why though.”
However, it didn’t seem to bother Simon as he joked back: “I was waiting for that.”
And when Dermot spoke to Simon again later on in the show, he joked: “After the week he had, he’s really just wishing that he lived in a bungalow.”
However, the stairs jokes soon wore thin for Simon, who asked Dermot: “Is there going to be a joke like this everytime?”
‘The X Factor’ returns to ITV on Sunday (05.11.17) when the Overs will take on the Girls to stay in the competition.

Stephanie Pratt new relationship isn’t as ‘trivial’ as Made in Chelsea

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Pratt insists her relationship with Jonny Mitchell isn’t as “trivial” as a ‘Made in Chelsea’ plotline.
The blonde beauty has struck up a romance with the ‘Love Island’ hunk but it’s unlikely he’ll be making an appearance on the reality show because she doesn’t want too much attention on them.
Asked if he’ll go on ‘MIC’, Jonny said: “Who knows? It’s not something I’ve considered yet.”
Stephanie added: “I just feel like our relationship isn’t as trivial as a ‘MIC’ plotline. Bringing him to meet my family feels nicer. I’d like to give this relationship the breathing space I’ve never had in any other relationship, rather than having the spotlight on it.”
The couple find it irritating that they’ve been accused of faking their romance for publicity.
Stephanie said: “I’m so used to it, everyone I date, they say it’s a showmance.
“But we don’t care what people think – it’s not a showmance.”
Jonny added: “I feel like there’s a cut off for that kind of thing though. People in a showmance aren’t going to go to Bali together – at least I don’t think they would. Why would you go and spend loads just to make it look believable? You’d just go to Spain or something like that.”
However, Stephanie, 31, can understand why people might think their relationship isn’t real.
She said: “I mean, I’ve asked Jonny if anyone on ‘Love Island’ are showmances or not, so I’m guilty of wondering about that too.”
But the US reality star hates that her boyfriend has a reputation for being a “pig”.
She told OK! magazine: “I Googled him when my agent told me who was going to her party and it was all these terrible things. So I was like, ‘I Googled you and have a million questions.’ And he was so honest.
“I wanted to find out why he was hated. Does he hate women? But he is such a gentleman.
“It’s so frustrating because everyone thinks that he’s a pig. In Bali, he took such good care of me.”

Debbie McGee scores perfect 40 on Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Debbie McGee scored a perfect 40 with her terrific tango on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ on Saturday night (04.11.17).
The 59-year-old star wowed the judges – Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and Shirley Ballas – as she danced a stunning tango with her professional partner Giovanni Pernice, meaning she sat firmly at the top of the leaderboard.
When Craig was asked by host Tess Daly for his comments, he remained silent and walked down in front of the judging table, leaving everyone unsure what was about to happen. He then knelt in front of Debbie and praised her, before returning to his seat next to the other judges, who were visibly shocked.
Darcey told her: “You gave me tingles down my back. That was extraordinary. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a tango like that from a celebrity.”
Whilst Shirley added: “Debbie McGee, that was a beautiful international tango. So for me, it was outstanding. Every week you’re just flying high. That is the most difficult dance and you just executed with first class.”
Elsewhere, Alexandra Burke and Gorka Marquez scored a near-perfect 39 for their jazz-inspired cha cha.
Shirley told them: “What a way to start the show. I want to say that cha cha has proved to be quite a difficult dance on this series but not for you. You looked like a professional.”
Joe McFadden and Katya Jones’ charleston earned them 36 points, including their first nine from Craig.
He told the duo: “I loved it. I thought it was absolutely brilliant. I loved the characterisation. The co-ordination, darling, of all those very difficult opposition moves.”
Mollie King and AJ Pritchard bounced back from being in the dance off last week with a great foxtrot, which Bruno dubbed “elegant and classy”.
He said: “It started beautifully … Foxtrot seems to be easy but it’s actually one of the hardest dances to control … You really did a very good job controlling yourself. Elegant, classy, nice job.”
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ continues on Sunday (05.11.17), where one more celebrity will leave the competition.

Jack Black may not return to Goosebumps 2

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Black may not return for ‘Goosebumps 2’.
The second instalment of the fantasy-action film was given the go-ahead earlier this year but, although many people automatically assumed that the 48-year-old actor would reprise his role as R.L. Stine for the blockbuster, it’s believed there’s a chance he may not be able to as Rob Lieber – who has been attached to the movie – reportedly hasn’t included his character in the sequel, according to Cinema Blend.
However, the publication has claimed there are several scripts – some featuring R.L Stine – floating around and Sony are yet to select which one they want to work with.
The news that he may not be included in the sequel probably won’t go down too well with Black as he recently admitted he would love to come face-to-face with a ghoul in real life before he passes away.
He said: “I never saw a ghost when I was a kid. I was more scared of girls.
“I’d have loved to have seen a ghost.
“It’s on my bucket list: ‘See a ghost.’ It’s right behind: ‘See a UFO.’ ”
Meanwhile, the studio is reportedly in talks with filmmaker Rob Letterman about reprising his role as the helmer on the forthcoming film after agreeing deals for producers Deborah Forte and Neal H. Moritz’s return.
Goosebumps’ is said to have generated $157 million for the studio – $80 million domestically and $77 million internationally – from its $57 million budget.

Rupert Grint finds it hard to meet up with Harry Potter pals

OHMYGOSSIP — Rupert Grint finds it “difficult” to meet up with his ‘Harry Potter’ co-stars.
The 29-year-old actor – who shot to fame playing Ron Weasley in the wizarding franchise – formed a close bond with the likes of Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson when they made the movies, and though they try to stay in touch, the attention they receive when they all get together can make it tricky.
He told heat magazine: “Yes [I keep in touch] but it’s difficult. It’s quite hard to go down the pub with them all.”
Rupert recently sat in the audience at West End production ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ and admitted it was a weird experience to see someone else take on his beloved character.
He said: “I did go to the play and it was like an out-of-body experience for me.
“To see my character taken on my someone else was very strange, but I loved it.”
His co-star Emma recently revealed the ‘Harry Potter’ actors keep in touch with a WhatsApp group, and they are all very supportive of one another in their new jobs.
Speaking at a screening of her latest movie ‘Beauty and the Beast’ – in which she plays Belle – Emma said: “We actually have a group WhatsApp which invited everyone really from the main cast from ‘Harry Potter’ to come to the screening. It’s a case of trying to, like, get people into the right places, but yeah, everyone has been very supportive and I’m very supported by my old co-stars.”

Jake Hall becomes a father

OHMYGOSSIP — Jake Hall has become a father for the first time.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star has announced his girlfriend Misse Beqiri delivered their baby girl in St Mary’s Hospital in London recently, but it’s not yet known when she was born, her weight or what the couple have decided to call her.
He wrote: “Words can’t express our happiness. My angel, I can’t wait to meet you.”
The 26-year-old fashion designer – who turned his back on the ITVBe series last summer – announced he was having a baby with his girlfriend in July when he shared a photo online of him kissing the brunette beauty’s burgeoning bump.
He wrote: “My world is complete… I can’t wait to meet you #boy or #girl (sic)”
Speculation that the pair were expecting was rife since March when eagle-eyed fans claimed the ‘Real Housewives Of Cheshire’ star could be pregnant after she shared several holiday pictures on Instagram.
Missé is already a mother to son Julian, who she shares with Preston North End footballer Anders Lindegaard.
The former couple married in June 2014 but divorced in August 2016.
Earlier this year, Jake and Missé were linked with their own reality TV show, and their latest news could make the possibility of them getting a programme even more of a possibility.
A source said at the time: “They are definitely up for doing a show together and channels are already preparing some ideas to pitch to them.”
Jake has also previously admitted he would be keen to team up with the brunette beauty on a series.
He said: “We have spoke about doing a show together. I’m always up for it. Work comes first but if something came along we wouldn’t say no.”

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! to return on November 19

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ will hit television screens on November 19.
The future of the creepy-crawly show was said to be up in the air after host Ant McPartlin was admitted to rehab over the summer for an addiction to prescription pills, but fans can now breathe a sigh of relief as ITV have confirmed the new series will kick off in two weeks’ time – 14 days later than the usual date – and the 41-year-old presenter will be back in the jungle with his co-host Dec Donnelly.
Bosses are remaining tight-lipped on the line-up for the forthcoming instalment but it’s believed Gemma Collins – who hit the headlines in 2014 when she walked out of the jungle after just 72 hours because of “health issues” – will take part again.
Made in Chelsea’s Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo has also been having meetings with producers as they believe she’ll be the perfect girl to set pulses racing in the camp’s famous waterfall, while Danny Dyer is also said to be close to signing a deal.
A source said recently: “Georgia has been signed up by ITV and will be the jungle’s bikini babe this year. She was a huge hit on ‘Celebs Go Dating’, people fell in love with her, so ‘I’m A Celeb…’ bosses knew she will be sure hit. And ITV has changed its policy on not having reality stars on the show as last year they didn’t have any.”
The show’s spin-off ‘Extra Camp’ has also been the hot topic of conversation as it’s had a panel shake-up and last year’s winner Scarlett Moffatt and runner-up Joel Dommett will be hosting alongside reoccurring panellist Joe Swash.
Scarlett, 27, said: “After last year’s Jungle experience which was a dream come true, I can’t believe I’m so lucky to have the dream continue by being part of this amazing show and joining the ITV2 ‘Extra Camp’ team, it’s going to be so much fun.”

Mollie King doesn’t want to date AJ Pritchard

OHMYGOSSIP — Mollie King doesn’t want to have a romantic relationship with AJ Pritchard.
The Saturdays singer has sparked rumours she’s got a soft spot for her professional dancer partner due to their on-screen chemistry on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ but she’s adamant they’d never be a couple because they’re just “really close friends now.”
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: “I am single. There’s always going to be rumours on Strictly, that’s inevitable.
“We have to be so comfortable with each other because we spend so much time together. AJ and I are physically very close all day and that’s such a huge part of the dancing. We don’t even think about it. We’re really close friends now.”
However, although she’s not interested in pursuing the 22-year-old choreographer, the blonde bombshell would like to settle down and find “Mr. Right” one day.
She said: “I don’t feel like I need somebody, but I obviously would love somebody. I love being in love. I literally love being in love. I’m so romantic. I’m such a girly girl.”
And, although she hasn’t got a relationship out of the show, the 30-year-old star has loved how the programme has helped her achieve a figure she has always wanted.
She explained previously: “There are bits that I would like to … okay, pretty much every part of my body I’d like to improve.
“I would love to do more sport to get fit. I need to work on my obliques to try and nip in my tummy. But I do think you get to a point where you have to accept yourself and say: ‘This is my figure, and I could work on it, but I’m never going to drastically change it.'”

Aaron Sidwell thought EastEnders killing off Steven Beale was ‘odd’

OHMYGOSSIP — Aaron Sidwell thinks it was “odd” for ‘EastEnders’ to kill off Steven Beale.
The 29-year-old actor recently bowed out of the soap when his alter ego died in a fire and though he was initially “gutted” to be axed, he thinks it’s right for him to move on now, but he can’t help but feel sorry for Adam Woodyatt, who plays his on-screen dad Ian Beale, for having more misery piled on his character.
He said: “At first I was gutted but I went back to ‘EastEnders’ because I wanted to buy a house and I’ve done that now.
“It feels like the right time to move on.
“I feel sorry for Adam Woodyatt, I think he’s still digesting the news. Killing off another one of his on-screen children seemed like an odd decision, but the writers assured us there’s a bigger picture. Time will tell if it was the right thing to do.”
Following Aaron’s departure, his former co-stars Jacqueline Jossa and Lorna Fitzgerald – who play sisters Lauren and Abi Branning – announced they were also leaving Albert Square, and the actor was particularly surprised by Jacqueline’s decision to bow out.
He said: “After the Steven, Lauren, and Abi love triangle came to an end, it made sense that the possibilities with Lorna’s character were halved.
“I was surprised when Jacqueline told me she was going too though.”
Aaron’s daughters, Matilda, eight, and five-year-old Isla – who he has with ex-wife Grace Isted – will be relieved he’s left the BBC soap because they didn’t like the attention it brought him.
He told OK! magazine: “They only watched ‘EastEnders’ at the start, when the storylines got a bit darker they stopped. They find it weird when people come up and ask for my picture. Matilda used to get really annoyed with it – she would roll her eyes every time someone came over.”

Jamie Bell’s nervous sex scenes with Annette Bening

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Bell admits it was a daunting prospect to shoot sex scenes with Hollywood legend Annette Bening.
The 31-year-old actor stars alongside the multi-time Oscar nominee in the movie ‘Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool’, in which Bening portrays real life actress Gloria Grahame who meets the unknown actor Peter Turner (Bell) in 1978 leading to the two starting a vibrant love affair despite their age difference.
Bell and Bening, 59, discussed exactly what each other would be comfortable with when it came to the lovemaking scenes, but the British star admits all he could think about was that he was going to have to act out sex with a Hollywood legend.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, Bell said: “‘There are intimate moments, and we each discussed, ‘What are you comfortable with?’ We talked, and there was never a version where we’d disagree. There had to be a solidarity between us, otherwise it becomes uncomfortable. And I was already intimidated – and very daunted – before filming started. So I’m glad that side of it was sorted. This is Annette Bening! She’s a titan when it comes to acting.”
The film is based on Turner’s memoirs about his affair with the B-Movie actress and Bening revealed he was very part of the filmmaking process.
She said: “Peter has very much been a part of making the movie. He is a very beautiful man and when you meet him you completely understand why Gloria fell in love with him.
“She had a very difficult life. She was here doing theatre because she couldn’t really get any other jobs so she is one of those people that, after the 1950s, she couldn’t find work.
“Barbara Broccoli, one of our producers, was friends with Peter and she knew him when he was with Gloria so this was a long-time coming and I talked with Barbara about making the movie years ago. It means a lot to Peter. It was a very complicated period of his life and he was very much involved in any moment.”
Bell’s consideration for his co-star was appreciated by Bening as she recently admitted she felt “safe” and “supported” working alongside the ‘Billy Elliott” star – who is married to Kate Mara.
‘The Kids Are All Right’ star – who is married to Warren Beatty – said: “I felt safe with him and you become so close when you work on something like this. I felt very supported by him and I hope he felt the same way. He’s a real professional, maybe because he started when he was young. He’s a great guy and he’s just a very solid guy and he really helped me. He was a doll. I loved it.”
