OHMYGOSSIP — Coronation Street’s Tracy Barlow and Steve McDonald are set for a festive fling.
The on/off couple may have a young daughter together but they’ve spent years at one another’s throats and, although that doesn’t look set to change any time soon, the pair will end up back in each other’s arms over the Christmas season – albeit briefly.
The soap’s executive Kate Oates said: “I really like Steve and Tracy. You can see what sort of things have drawn them back together. They’ve both been around the block so many times that, in a way, maybe they should be brought together again for a while.”
But not everyone is happy about the reunion as Steve (Simon Gregson) and Tracy’s (Kate Ford) daughter Amy (Elle Mulvaney) doesn’t want her parents to get together.
Kate explained: “Amy’s not happy about it, because she knows that her parents are both trouble. And, on a very shallow level, she’s used to things being as they are. Amy gets two sets of birthday and Christmas presents, as kids from broken homes do. I think she’s worried that it will end in tears. She knows that both her parents are walking car crashes, but everything is all right at the moment and they kind of get on. So she’s afraid of them getting together and then it all imploding. She’s really not very happy.”
And, although it’s definite that the pair’s feelings for each other will start to bubble to the surface over the next few weeks, Kate refused to divulge whether it’s long-term.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, she said: “Whether it will be long-long term, you’ll have to wait and see. Amy’s prophecy may come true.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Iain Stirling jokes were banned from the ‘Love Island’ final edit when he first joined the show.
The 29-year-old Scottish comedian has narrated the dating show for the past three series but, although his hilarious commentary has become a huge hit with viewers, he has admitted bosses weren’t impressed with his wit when he first put his one-liners together for the debut.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Wednesday (15.11.17), he said: “I don’t know how the Spain thing happened but I like it because I get to do it with a Piña colada. I’ve got to get in at about 2pm. I don’t know how I do it sometimes. So I get in, watch the show, go through the script … it’s very sexy and then we come up with some ideas and we basically write some jokes. In the beginning they all got taken out but now they’ve let us put the jokes in.”
However, not everyone is a fan of his jokes as he’s often “hated” by contestants’ parents.
He said: “Normally, if someone’s got a catchphrase, people hate me for it … a lot of people are fine with it but maybe their parents aren’t on board with it. If I say someone is a bit dull or something, they’ll say: ‘Oh my mum and dad think I’m quite fun.”
And, although he thoroughly enjoys his job, the hunk was once against reality TV.
He explained: “I hadn’t watched it. I love it so much now. I suppose it’s a bit of uninformed snobbery really – I just decided I wasn’t going to like reality TV and I watched it and it’s marvelous. When the money came in, reality TV I’m all about it.”
The fourth series has already been given the go ahead for next summer and Iain hopes he’s invited back to voice it because he’s got commitments now.
He added: “I hope I am, I want to be because I’ve got a mortgage now and stuff.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mike Thalassitis has signed up to the new series of ‘Celebs Go Dating’.
The ‘Love Island’ star – who earned himself the nickname ‘Muggy Mike’ while taking part in the dating show over the summer – has asked to take part in the forthcoming instalment, which will hit screens next year, as he continues his quest for love.
A source told The Sun Online: “Mike’s keen to put his love life in the hands of the professionals. He has no shortage of interest from women but he’s hoping the show will help him find something serious.”
The 24-year-old footballer’s new television gigs comes after it was reported that he was in talks with ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ bosses about taking part in the new series, which will kick off this weekend, but they later shot down the rumours.
A source said recently: “We accept that some of the stars of ‘Love Island’ have now become celebrities thanks to the show – but they’re not for us.
“Viewers have only just recently seen them for seven weeks in a reality show – they’d add nothing new to our show.”
Meanwhile, although he’s signed up to find love, it wasn’t that long ago that Mike was romantically linked to Caroline Flack after they met when she was presenting ‘Love Island’.
The hunk took to his Instagram after the show wrapped up in the summer to share a picture of himself cosying up to the presenter.
On the Stories section of social media site, he shared the picture and added the caption: “Who really won Love Island (sic)” .
Caroline, 37 – who previously dated One Direction’s Harry Styles – and Mike met up at the programme’s reunion show.

OHMYGOSSIP — Vicky Pattison has agreed to take part in ‘Say Yes to the Dress’.
The 29-year-old reality TV star is set to tie the knot with her partner John Noble next year, but she has decided to avoid the stress of finding a gorgeous gown for her big day by leaving it in the capable hands of the legendary David Emanuel, who will go on the hunt for the perfect dress, as part of a forthcoming episode of the wedding show.
She said: “I’m such a big fan of ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ and have been watching obsessively on TLC. I really can’t wait to meet David Emanuel and try on some gorgeous wedding dresses.”
But, although she’s looking forward to what David finds for her, the brunette beauty has admitted she’d ideally like him to bag her two dresses – one of the ceremony and one for the reception afterwards – as she wants to change mid-way through the day.
She explained: “David’s got his work cut out for him with me and my entourage – we’re all very honest and pretty emotional, plus I want two dresses! I’m hoping he’ll help me find ‘the One’, or two! If not, he’s going to get it in the ear from my Mum!”
Vicky’s episode is one in a new series of ‘Say Yes to the Dress’, which has been re-commissioned for two new seasons, and will hit television screens in January 2018.
Not much is known about the former ‘Geordie Shore’ star’s forthcoming nuptials, but it’s believed they couple have decided to get hitched at the Le Petit Chateau, not far from their home city of Newcastle, which will set them back an estimate £175,000.
A source said recently: “Le Petit Chateau is one of the nicest venues in the North East and Vicky has set her heart on getting married around there to be close to her and John’s family. They looked around the place last week and were very cute and tactile, pointing out where they’d put things and seeing how much it would cost to hire out the whole place. They were blown away and put down a deposit immediately – John’s not short of a few bob either, they want the best.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Phillip Schofield had a bottom like a “dragon’s nostril” after he completed the famous one chip challenge live on ‘This Morning’ yesterday (14.11.17).
The 55-year-old presenter was over the moon when he became the first person on British television to put the world’s hottest crisp, which left one US news anchor on the floor live on air, in his mouth, but he has admitted the after-effects weren’t pleasant.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Wednesday (15.11.17), he said: “I left the sofa and ran out, I switched my mic off and made a ran for my dressing room. I was shouting: ‘I’m going to be sick.’ And you said: ‘Shall I hold your hair for you?’
“And I got to the dressing room and I wasn’t actually sick because I was drinking lots of milk. And then there was a knock at my dressing room and our editor had sent a paramedic. There’s only so much you can do. She said: ‘Are you OK? You’ll be fine.’ I began to feel OK by 3:30pm and I was pretty much back to normal. I won’t be graphic but suffice to say I have a bum like a dragon’s nostril.”
The producers were so impressed with Phillip’s attempt that they had a golden toilet-seat-shaped trophy made for him to commemorate his success.
His co-star Holly Willoughby said: “Although we can’t officially crown you, we have got you your very own trophy. That is for you. The one chip challenge champion.”
Phillip added: “I shall treasure that.”
Taking to his Twitter account shortly after the show went off air yesterday, the silver fox expressed that he was having some stomach issues and was left with the shakes.
He wrote: “After eating the hottest chilli in the world, I’m now recovering Sitting in my dressing room with the shivers! All ok till it hit my stomach 8 minutes later!! I love a challenge pahaha .. but I’m not looking forward to tomorrow, (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Keith Barron has died.
The ‘Duty Free’ actor – who also had roles in ‘Benidorm’, ‘Where the Heart Is’ and ‘Coronation Street’ – passed away at the age of 83 following a short illness.
His agent confirmed in a statement: “He had a long and varied career which included ‘The Nigel Barton Plays’ by Dennis Potter of which he was immensely proud, a Hollywood film ‘The Land That Time Forgot’, the television series ‘Take Me Home’, written by Tony Marchant and three series of ‘Duty Free’, the Yorkshire Television classic sitcom written by Eric Chappell in which he played David Pearce.
“He is survived by his wife Mary to whom he was married for 58 years and his son, Jamie, also an actor.”
Keith’s best-known role was as David Pearce in ‘Duty Free’, which ran from 1984 until 1986, and his final TV appearance came last year, when he played Arthur Banks in 10 episodes of ‘DCI Banks’.
He also had guest roles in a string of other TV shows, including ‘Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased)’, ‘The New Avengers’, ‘The Professionals’ and ‘A Touch of Frost’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Debbie McGee may be forced to pull out of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ this weekend.
The 59-year-old television assistant – who was married to the late magician Paul Daniels – was over the moon when she found out she’d made it to week nine of the competition because it meant she’d get to perform at Blackpool Tower with her professional partner Giovanni Pernice, but her hopes of dazzling the panel have been shot down as she’s been battling with a bad back since her Salsa last weekend.
Debbie’s sister Donna told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “She’s twisted a muscle so she’s struggling. It’s a real shame. She has been suffering – she had a hot water bottle on her back all week. It’s really been playing up.”
However, Giovanni is no doubt doing all he can to help Debbie recover and learn their routine without putting too much pressure on the muscles in her back.
The pair have hit the headlines week-in week-out because of their undeniable chemistry on screen but, although they’ve both played down romance rumours, she has admitted they share a “deep connection” that she can’t describe.
She said recently: “There is a magic that is happening. The other dancers take the mickey out of us.
“He really cares, he doesn’t just care about me, he cares about everybody. He makes everyone feel special and that’s what Paul [Daniels, her late husband] used to do, and that’s what I love about him. We’ve laughed about how similar we are. Why does it happen in life? I don’t know. We just have this incredible bond.”
And, although she and Giovanni have a 32-year age gap between them, Debbie doesn’t think about being older than the Italian hunk because she and Paul had 20 years between them and he was one of the most “supple” people she had ever met.
She explained: “I don’t. I was married to a man 20 years older than me, who had more energy and was more supple that anybody I’d ever met. And my dad, Pat, who died three years ago, was still running faster than me at 84. He and my mum Babs, who is now 80, they weren’t people who let life pass them by. My mum still goes dancing every Saturday with my Uncle Toby. She loves to jive.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mollie King slept through three alarms and missed her appearance on ‘Lorraine’.
The Saturdays singer was meant to appear on the early-morning breakfast show with her ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ partner AJ Pritchard on Wednesday (15.11.17) to discuss their forthcoming performance at Blackpool Tower, but the schedule had to be jiggled around as she failed to wake up and didn’t make it to the studio in time for her slot.
The show’s host Lorraine Kelly explained as she spoke with AJ: “He’s without Mollie because she slept through three alarms because she was so exhausted.”
AJ, 23, added: “I can feel my phone buzzing in my pocket – that’s probably her now.”
The 30-year-old blonde beauty eventually made it to the studio and apologised profusely to Lorraine and her viewers as her interview had to take place an hour later.
She said: “I am so sorry. I slept through everything – he’s training me too hard.”
Lorraine asked what time she got up and Mollie replied: “About 45 minutes ago… ”
Mollie and AJ have sparked rumours that a romance may be bubbling between them behind closed doors, but the singer is adamant they’re just friends at the moment.
She said recently: “I am single. There’s always going to be rumours on Strictly, that’s inevitable. We have to be so comfortable with each other because we spend so much time together. AJ and I are physically very close all day and that’s such a huge part of the dancing. We don’t even think about it. We’re really close friends now.”
However, although she’s not interested in pursuing the choreographer, Mollie would like to settle down and find “Mr. Right” one day.
She said: “I don’t feel like I need somebody, but I obviously would love somebody. I love being in love. I literally love being in love. I’m so romantic. I’m such a girly girl.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo has dumped her boyfriend ahead of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star is set to enter Croc Creek camp in Queensland, Australia, later this week and, considering bosses are counting on her to set pulses racing with her sexy shower scenes, it’s hardly surprising she’s decided to end things with her beau James Middleton.
A source told The Sun Online: “Toff wanted to be single for the jungle, so she had no ties back at home. She’s broken up with him before so this time around wasn’t hard. Toff is really throwing herself into the experience as she knows this has potential to be a big boost for her career.”
Her decision to call time on their relationship comes just a few months after they rekindled their romance after she wrapped up filming ‘Celebs Go Dating’ and failed to find love on screen.
She said at the time: “I am so pleased to be back with my ex James.
“I always really liked him but it was hard on us because my job means that I have to go out all the time and a lot of men don’t like that.
“I often wonder if my relationships don’t work out because I am the more Alpha one and the focus is on me and men don’t like that. But James was the one who approached me and he rang me up to ask me out and we have been together ever since.”
And, although she spends most of her time in the affluent area of London, the 23-year-old star is looking forward to showing viewers the “real” her because she’s not as “prim and proper” as people think.
She explained: “I have watched it since I was so young and when they asked to talk to me, I was like ‘OMG is this real?’ I thought they were winding me up at first, but when it was confirmed I was like ‘Wow’. I think people think I am ditzy, which I am in certain ways. But I really enjoy interesting conversation. I hope there are loads in there.
“I also think people think I am prim and proper and I won’t get stuck in but I will. It’s nice to show the real me.’ Made In Chelsea’ is constructed reality television but on ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ we will be living and breathing the Jungle environment.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennie McAlpine is doing ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ for her late father.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress is excited about heading into the Australian jungle for the ITV show and has revealed it was the passing of her dad Tom – who died in March earlier this year – that was a “big part” in pushing her to finally sign up.
She said: “I lost my Dad earlier this year and that was a big thing. But I knew he would have told me to do it. He always told me to do stuff and he always encouraged me. He kept saying. ‘Give it a go to find out if you are good enough or not.’ And so that was a big part of it.”
However, the 33-year-old actress took a lot of convincing to go in this year as she is set to miss her son Albert’s third birthday, which is on November 29.
She added: “I had to really think about this because the biggest thing is leaving my little boy. Even the thought of it beforehand made me shudder. It’s going to be his birthday whilst I am in the jungle and I spend all my time with him when I am not working on ‘Coronation Street’. Leaving Albert when I first go into the camp will be my trial. It really will.”
And when it comes to her campmates, Jennie doesn’t want to see any “injustice” take place and would stand up for someone if the other person is being mean.
She told The Sun newspaper: “I don’t like injustice. If people are being mean I would stand up for someone but in the right way.”
Jennie will appear on ‘I’m A Celebrity’ alongside the likes of boxer Amir Khan, Rebekah Vardy, The Saturdays’ singer Vanessa White, ‘Made In Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo and actor Jamie Lomas.

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ bosses have been forced to come up with a contingency plan after heavy rain was forecast for the upcoming week in Queensland.
The celebrities are set to enter the Croc Creek camp this weekend for the new series of the creepy-crawly show – filmed in Australia – but they may be forced to seek temporary refuge on higher grounds as it’s thought bad weather is set to hit the area.
A source told The Sun Online: “We are preparing for all eventualities.
“Provisions are in place for soggy conditions and campmates are equipped with waterproofs to wear should it rain heavily. It’s just a shame for viewers back home in the UK who like to see the celebs enjoying the warm weather. There is also more chance of the women donning their bikinis for the waterfall shower scenes when it’s warm, so they’re hoping it will brighten up as soon as possible.”
But it’s not just thunderstorms bosses are worried about as the unpredictable weather has seen an influx of killer spiders leaving their hideaways and roaming around.
Dr Robert Raven said recently: “In the past we’ve had early rain and nothing. Just really dry summers. But this summer, the rain is allowing the whole system to crank up again. People should check everywhere.
“If you pick up your towel, the next thing you know you could have a huntsman on your face. A lot of spiders are pretty harmless, but redbacks are of particular concern.”
The line-up for this year’s series has been confirmed as the likes of Amir Khan, Rebekah Vardy, The Saturdays’ singer Vanessa White, ‘Made In Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo and actor Jamie Lomas attempt to take on some of the gruesome tasks.
‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ kicks off on November 19 on ITV.

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt wants to compete on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ again.
The former ‘Gogglebox’ star was crowned Queen of the Jungle last year, and though she’s returning to Australia to co-present spin-off show ‘Extra Camp’, she would love to get involved in the endurance challenge again.
She said: “I want to be like Katie Price and go back in. Even though I had such a good experience, there would be different people so you’d learn new things about yourself.
“Ant and Dec’s advice to me was, ‘Be yourself’ and I’m like, ‘Well if they think I’m all right, then that’s OK because they know what they’re talking about.’ ”
The ‘Streetmate’ presenter is hoping another woman takes the crown this year, and if they’re also from her native Newcastle, that would be even better.
She said: “I’m so excited. And I’m hoping the winner is a girl – girl power all the way.
“And I’m hoping they get as much luck as I have. This time last year, I was still in my 9-5 job so this is just bizarre.
“Another Geordie winner would be amazing. How many more girl Geordies can we pull out of the bag? Get them all in, get Cheryl [Tweedy] involved.”
But Scarlett, 27, insists she has no idea who the 10 contestants who’ll be entering camp are.
She added: “I don’t know who is going in, they don’t tell us anything.”
While she wants to go back into the jungle, Scarlett is equally pleased to be presenting ‘Extra Camp’ alongside Joel Dommett and Joe Swash because she’ll actually get chance to see Australia this year.
She told Closer magazine: “I feel ‘good nervous’. For me, it’s like full circle because I went from watching it as an avid fan from the age of 11 with my mam and dad, and then people watching me and now this.
“I’m excited to actually see Australia. Last year, we could have been anywhere, I didn’t even set foot on a beach.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star Giovanni Pernice’s partnership with Debbie McGee is reportedly making his secret lover jealous.
The 27-year-old star danced with Luba Mushtuk on his previous tour and the duo have been close for a number of years – but Luba is said to be unhappy about Giovanni’s chemistry with Debbie, 59.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Luba and Giovanni are together. But she doesn’t like Debbie because of their bond – she feels how much Gio cares for her.
“It’s also upsetting as she would like their romance to be out in the open. Luba is very keen to be on the show one day.
“She assists with choreography. But that means she has to spend a lot of time watching Giovanni rehearse with Debbie which can be uncomfortable for her.”
Debbie has excelled during her time on the BBC dancing competition and is widely expected to challenge for the coveted ‘Strictly’ trophy as the series draws to a conclusion.
The TV personality has admitted to sharing a magical relationship with her on-screen partner, but Debbie has previously denied that they are anything more than just good friends.
Debbie – who was married to magician Paul Daniels from 1988 until his death last year – explained: “It’s absolutely great people think he fancies me.
“We have a chemistry, a great sense of humour, we both make each other laugh and that has brought us together.
“We have a very special friendship. People see us dancing these sexy routines and then we are pictured having lunch together so assume something must be going on.
“The truth is we really like each other but it isn’t a love affair. We love each other, but we are not in love with each other. It’s just one of those very special friendships.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Jensen would love to make an ‘Ugly Betty’ movie.
The 48-year-old actress starred as Scottish seamstress Christina McKinney in the hit ABC TV series, and although the show ended in 2010, Jensen would never say no to returning as the fan favourite character.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Tuesday (14.11.17), she said: “I think the last time I was here I was talking about it. I would love to do an ‘Ugly Betty’ movie, I think we all would. Just last year we had a reunion and we all just got so excited about seeing each other again. It was one these programmes that touched a lot of people and think that a lot of people feel a great deal of warmth to it. So I think it could be very excited to do it.”
‘Ugly Betty’ ran for four seasons and was developed by Silvio Horta.
It follows the titular character Betty Suarez (America Ferrara) who, despite her lack of style, manages to land a job at the prestigious fashion magazine Mode.
During the four season run, viewers saw Betty compete against creative designer Wilhelmina Slater (Vanessa Williams) to show that true beauty is inside.
The programme was cancelled in 2010 after struggling in the ratings in the US between the third and fourth seasons.
Jensen isn’t the only star of the show to be pushing for a reunion movie, with the leading lady Ferrara admitting she wanted the movie.
During the cast reunion at the ATX Television Festival last year, Ferrara said: “I mean, it took 20 minutes for everyone to say yes to my email to be at ATX. I think they’re going to be at the reunion movie.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ezra Miller improvised many of his scenes in ‘Justice League’.
The 25-year-old actor stars as Barry Allen aka The Flash in the new DC Extended Universe movie and he was encouraged to react to his co-stars and come up with many of his own lines and movements as the comic of the superhero squad.
Speaking at the world premiere of ‘Justice League’ at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Monday (13.11.17), Miller said: “There was a lot of improv. I improvised every day, on every scene. It was just a good way to work with this character and thankfully I was allowed to do it. I consulted with the woman who taught me improv and I got to sort of delve back in to that. My own acting training was in improv. It was so much fun. When you have other layers and characters you can bounce off, it was really great.”
‘Justice League’ focuses on Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Miller as The Flash, Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg, who must come together to protect Earth from the alien threat of Steppenwolf.
Miller also revealed he loves how the meta humans in the blockbuster “break the rules” to save the world.
He said: “I think it’s the idea that they break the rules. Superheroes break the rules of physics and puts it to a good purpose. They have to break the rules to save the world.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sony Pictures are working on another ‘Spider-Man’ spin-off based around villain Morbius, the Living Vampire.
The project is currently being written by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama, whose previous movies include ‘Power Rangers’, ‘Gods of Egypt’, ‘Dracula: Untold’ and ‘The Last Witch Hunter’, The Hollywood Reporter claims.
Morbius was created by Marvel Comics artist Gil Kane and written by Roy Thomas and made his first appearance in the pages of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ issue number 101.
After his debut, Morbius regularly appeared throughout the Marvel Comics world even turned hero in his own series and other titles.
Also known as Dr. Michael Morbius, the character is a biochemist who tries to cure himself of a rare blood disease using vampire bats and electroshock therapy.
However, his experiments have tragic consequences as he becomes afflicted with classic vampire traits including fangs, the ability to fly and a thirst for blood which he needs to ingest to survive.
At the time of reporting, no casting has been revealed or no release date as of yet.
This isn’t the first ‘Spider-Man’ spin-off to be made by Sony Pictures- who own the rights to the characters in the ‘Spider-Man’ universe – with Tom Hardy being cast in the titular role in the ‘Venom’ movie.
The official Twitter account for the new movie – which stars Hardy alongside Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Jenny Slate and Reid Scott – recently has confirmed production is underway with a post of a photograph showing the cameras are rolling.
‘Venom’ marks the first time an enemy of Spidey will be getting their own standalone movie but the character did appear in Sam Raimi’s ‘Spider-Man 3’ with the character being played by Topher Grace.
Sony and Marvel Studios reached a deal in February 2015 to allow Spider-Man – a character to which Sony bought the rights to – to be introduced into the MCU, with Tom Holland cast in the role and appearing as Spidey in a cameo capacity in ‘Captain America: Civil War’.
