Sam Thompson: Gemma Collins ‘sets my juices on fire’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Thompson says Gemma Collins “sets his juices on fire.”
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ hunk has been spending more time with the ‘Only Way is Essex’ queen recently because they’re both shooting the new series of ‘Celebs Go Dating’ and he has admitted he’s developing more and more of a soft spot for her.
Taking to his Instagram account, the 25-year-old hunk uploaded a photograph of him and Gemma together and her wrote: “There’s only one girl for me @gemmacollins1 you set my juices on, (sic)” followed by a series of fire emojis.
The public display of affection comes just days after Sam – who split from his long-term on/off girlfriend Tiffany Watson at the beginning summer – admitted he had a crush on the 36-year-old reality TV diva because she makes him smile.
He said recently: “Gemma Collins. Legitimately. She is so cool. Every time I talk to her, she brings out a smile and I love people like that.”
Sam also has his eye on other people on the show – but he doesn’t think he stands a chance next to ‘Love Island’ hunk and fellow hopeful Mike Thalassitis.
Asked if anyone else has caught his eye, he said: “Yes, massively, but Mike is here and he’s an 111 out of 10. There’s no competition at all. Literally if he walks in, I’ll walk out.”
Though Sam’s used to having his love life played out on screen, finding a date is very new for him.
He said: “I am [used to being on camera] but I’ve never been on a proper date apart from with some of my old girlfriends but I knew all of them.
“I’ve never just gone up to a random person in a bar and said, ‘Do you want to go for a drink?’ I’m really quite shy and semi-insecure.”

Charlotte Dawson was visited by her late father’s spirit

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlotte Dawson thinks her late father’s spirit visited her last week.
The former ‘Ex on the Beach’ star had settled down to watch a documentary about her late parent and comedian Les Dawson – who died of a heart attack aged 62 in 1993 – but found she couldn’t get the channel to switch on and her lights stopped working, which made her think her beloved dad was there with her.
Writing in her column in Star magazine, she said: “Something really weird happened last week. There was a documentary on TV about my dad called ‘Les Dawson Forever’, but the channel wouldn’t work.
“The light started flickering – it felt like my dad was with me.”
The 25-year-old reality star also revealed she had been the subject of cruel comments online, with people telling her that her dad would disapprove of her outrageous antics.
She said: “I feel sorry for Georgia Kousoulou being criticised about her nose job. She was obviously insecure – it’s nothing to do with anyone else.
“I’d love to have my double chin lifted, but it makes me who I am.
“I was trolled when I was on ‘Celebs Go Dating’. People said my dad wouldn’t be proud of me, but I know he would be so chuff off.”
And Charlotte also opened up about her struggles with anxiety.
She said: “It was brave of Jesy Nelson to admit she almost had a breakdown before Little Mix’s latest tour.
“I have really bad anxiety, but no one would know as I’m good at hiding things.”

Debbie McGee doesn’t have ‘time’ to find love

OHMYGOSSIP — Debbie McGee doesn’t have “time” for love.
The 59-year-old television assistant has been flooded with romantic proposals since she dropped into the splits during her first routine on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ back in September, but she has admitted she’s thrown all of her attention into the ballroom and latin show that she hasn’t even noticed the attention she’s been getting.
Speaking to The Sun Online about the male attention she’s attracted, she said: “I haven’t had time to even notice, I’ve just been learning dances and there’s no time for anything else in my life while Strictly’s on so I have no idea.”
Debbie has been single since her husband Paul Daniels sadly passed away from a brain tumour last year and, although she would like to find love again, she has admitted she still talks to the late magician before she performs every weekend.
She said recently: “I feel he is with me. When I walk down that studio floor, there is always a moment I think of him. He had so much confidence. I kind of say, ‘Come on, darling, give me some of your confidence’. And it takes away my nerves.”
And she’s adamant Paul – who took part in the show himself in 2010 – would have loved to have watched her strut her stuff on the dance floor – even though he probably would have criticised her and pushed her more.
She said: “He would love it. He would absolutely love it. He would always have wanted me to do better than I was doing.
“I could imagine, if Paul was alive and watching me every week, he would give me notes. There is no doubt about that – he would find something.”
Debbie will go up against Alexandra Burke, Joe McFadden and Gemma Atkinson in tonight’s (16.12.17) final but she’s been battling with a nasty cold so bosses aren’t sure yet whether she’ll be able to perform – or whether she’ll even want to.
She said: “I was like a zombie. I was brain dead and physically washed out.”
Debbie – who has been struggling with injuries throughout the series – has admitted this week has taken more out of her than any other time.

Alexandra Burke didn’t feel ‘mentally ready’ for Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexandra Burke didn’t think she was “mentally ready” to do ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The former ‘X Factor’ winner was left heartbroken over the summer when her beloved mother Melissa Bell passed away at the age of just 53 – days before the ballroom and latin series kicked off – and, although she didn’t think she had taken enough time to grieve, she believes throwing herself into the show forced her to see the “light at the end of the tunnel” because it brought her so much “happiness.”
Speaking to The Sun Online, the 29-year-old singer said: “I can’t thank ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ enough for giving me happiness in a very weird time in my life. Everyone has made that journey for me so special. I think for me, the feedback that I got online is more about, whatever you are going through in life, you can find a good outcome, there is always that light at the end of the tunnel.
“I had the opportunity to take a step back and say to myself, ‘Maybe I’m not ready to do the show mentally’ but actually I’ve surprised myself. I’m not going to say everything’s been rosy, I’ve had ups and downs but I’ve done something that’s brought me such joy. If I can inspire someone else to dance or do something they love, in the toughest of times in their life, then that’s what I’m here for.”
And, although her mother isn’t here anymore, Alexandra is convinced Melissa would’ve been very “proud” of her because it used to be her favourite show.
She explained: “This was my mum’s favourite show, my family’s favourite show and I think she would be very proud. I’m very sure she would be, my mum was just the most amazing women who gave me so much strength and she still does to this day.
“You know, everything I do is for my family so she would be proud.”
Alexandra will go head-to-head with Gemma Atkinson, Joe McFadden and Debbie McGee in tonight’s (16.12.17) final of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ on the BBC.

Rylan Clark-Neal is a ‘cool dad’

OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark-Neal is a “cool dad”.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter has always found it “really easy” to get along with his 17-year-old stepson Cameron – his husband Dan Clark-Neal’s child from a previous relationship – and the teenager knows he can always turn to him for help or advice on awkward situations.
He told Closer magazine: “Cameron was about 13 when I first met him, so I’ve gone through the terrible teens with him, but it’s always just been really easy.
“It was a shock going from being single to a stepdad but at the same time it just felt right.
“He comes to stay with us all the time. We’re both into boxing so we’ll sit and watch that together.
“I’m the cool dad he can talk to about things he doesn’t want to chat to Dan about – although I’m still always telling him he’s not allowed to get a tattoo.”
While Rylan enjoys being a stepfather and thinks it would be “amazing” to have a child of his own, he insists he and Dan are not currently looking to have a baby together.
He said: “I’m not going to rush into having kids myself – I don’t feel like I need to have a baby right now – but if we did have a baby together, that would be amazing.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Big Brother’s Bit On the Side’ host has admitted he “hates” his body – but not enough to make any real attempt to get into shape.
He said: “I should do something about it, but I’ve always hated my body and probably always will.
“I’ve got a gym at home but I’ve only been in there once to get a Lucozade.
“I’m not confident at all, that’s why I wear a t-shirt at the beach.
“It’s hard when you’re on TV and everyone has an opinion on your appearance but it hasn’t bothered me to the point where I’ve had time to do anything about it.”

Christopher Plummer such a fan of the Sound of Music

OHMYGOSSIP — Christopher Plummer thinks ‘The Sound of Music’ is Dame Julie Andrews’ most “free and naked performance”.
The 88-year-old Hollywood legend starred as Captain Von Trapp alongside Andrews, 82, as Maria in the Robert Wise-directed 1965 musical classic, but although he has spoken about his hatred for the film, Plummer has nothing but praise for his co-star’s work on it.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, Plummer said: “It’s not entirely true that I loathe ‘The Sound of Music’.
“I think Julie Andrews, who I adore, is absolutely lovely in it. I think it is her most free and naked performance – her best. But when you do a film with 1,000 nuns, there’s a danger it can run over into a deep abyss of mawkishness.”
Plummer also admitted he found the role of Captain Von Trapp was “boring” after he had starred on Broadway in many iconic roles including ‘Hamlet’ and ‘Macbeth’.
He said: “The thing is that I can never really warm to it because I don’t think I was any good in it. I didn’t like the role. I found it boring because when I was that age, in my thirties, I had already played Hamlet, Henry V, Macbeth, everything under the sun on stage and ‘The Sound of Music’ was a bit of a comedown as a role.”
Now, Plummer is starring in the new movie ‘The Man Who Invented Christmas’ alongside Dan Stevens who plays ‘A Christmas Carol’ author Charles Dickens.
The film follows Dickens who finds himself in financial trouble after writing three unsuccessful novels in a row.
Desperate for a hit, Dickens relies on real-life inspiration and his vivid imagination to bring Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim and other classic characters to life and forever changing the holiday season into the celebration known today.

Bob Iger confirms expansion of MCU after Disney buys out Fox

OHMYGOSSIP — Disney CEO Bob Iger has confirmed that the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool will be introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
On Thursday (14.12.17) The Walt Disney Company confirmed that they have agreed an all-stock acquisition deal for 21st Century Fox as well as obtaining other assets from media conglomerate Rupert Murdoch’s empire, whilst taking on $13.7 billion of Fox’s credit insured debt.
Fox owned the complete rights to both the ‘X-Men’ and ‘Fantastic Four’ franchises and any new character within its universe belongs solely to the studio – which led to the cancellation of the ‘Fantastic Four’ comic series.
However, Iger has now spoken to Deadline about the expansion of the MCU by introducing the iconic characters in the upcoming movies.
Iger said: “We have the opportunity to expand iconic franchises for new generations of fan just as we have done with Marvel and ‘Star Wars’.
“We’re also looking forward to expanding the Marvel Cinematic Universe to include ‘X-Men’, ‘Fantastic Four’ and ‘Deadpool’.”
The ‘X-Men’ franchise and spin-offs have been successful for Fox with both the Bryan Singer trilogy, the ‘First Class’ movies, the Wolverine standalone series and R-rated ‘Deadpool’ all doing very well at the box office.
However, Marvel still does retain some input into the franchises and Fox needs Marvel to sign off on all TV deals regarding the superheroes.
However, since the Marvel owns ‘The Avengers’ there has been some overlap with characters such as Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch – who have been members of both teams in the comics.
Unlike the popular ‘X-Men’ franchise, the ‘Fantastic Four’ films haven’t been as popular at the box office.
In 2015, the franchise was rebooted starring Miles Teller, Jamie Bell, Kate Mara and Michael B. Jordan as the titular Four, however, the film was poorly received by fans and critics alike.
Disney bought 5,000 of Marvel’s characters in a deal worth $4 billion back in 2009 and the current MCU phase three is set to come to an end after the fourth ‘Avengers’ movie.
For Fox, ‘Deadpool 2’, ‘Gambit’, ‘Dark Phoenix’, ‘Multiple Man’, ‘New Mutants’ and ‘X-Force’ are currently in the works or in post-production.

Gwendoline Christie fears for Phasma’s future

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwendoline Christie is terrified her ‘Star Wars’ alter ego Captain Phasma won’t return in ‘Episode IX’.
The 39-year-old actress stars as the commander of the First Order’s legions of Stormtroopers in the sci-fi saga’s new trilogy and can be seen in ‘The Last Jedi’ and she is desperate for her character to feature in future films.
Speaking to The Times newspaper, Christie said: “In truth I don’t know. And that scares and upsets me because I really want to see this character explored. I’m actually very invested in the character now.
“And that’s genuine. That’s not just chat. It has opened up a chain of stories and events in my mind about who Phasma is.”
Christie – who shot to fame as Brienne of Tarth in HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ – made her first appearance in 2015’s ‘The Force Awakens’ and has described Rian Johnson’s eighth movie as a “progressive step forward”.
She said: “I loved ‘The Force Awakens’. And I really love ‘The Last Jedi’. It feels like a progressive step forward. It’s the idea of rigidity in one’s thinking or never being able to see the other side. This lack of empathy. It’s a choice.”
Captain Phasma has been likened to bounty hunter Boba Fett from the original ‘Star Wars’ trilogy and there has been rumours about a potential standalone film based around the fan favourite character from the original trilogy.
Although Christie is unsure about Phasma’s fate, she teased that the rumours around the Boba movie are quite “strong”.
She said: “There’s been a rumour as well that there’s going to be a Boba Fett standalone movie. It’s quite a strong rumour, but I genuinely don’t’ know for a fact.”

Rian Johnson had Last Jedi idea before The Force Awakens

OHMYGOSSIP — Rian Johnson wrote the script for ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ before ‘The Force Awakens’ was finished.
The 43-year-old filmmaker helmed the eighth instalment of the popular sci-fi franchise, which has opened to rave reviews, and he claims that he had definite ideas for the saga before J.J. Abrams had released his 2015 blockbuster as he said read the script and got ideas for all the characters’ futures.
Speaking to Variety, Johnson said: “When ‘Force Awakens’ came out we were in prep and there was definitely a little gasp. The spotlight turned on us briefly and we went and made sure the script was as tight as it could be and did a little polish to it. For me, the big thing I’m thankful for looking back is I wrote the script before ‘Force Awakens’ was even really made. They were shooting it while I was making the script. So I got the best of both worlds. I got to just personally react to the story and the script and what I was seeing the actors bringing to the parts in the dailies, and I got to put that personal reaction into it without trying to filter all the world’s reaction to it.”
Johnson also said when he pitched his story idea to Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy he was adamant he wanted to “test each one of the characters”, who include Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).
He said: “My pitch to Kathy was basically if the first movie was introduction, this movie is training. But that doesn’t necessarily mean Yoda-style training or a training montage. To me what that means is it’s the movie where we test each one of the characters. We find the hardest possible thing they can come up against and we throw it at them. It’s just like the second act of any movie. It’s where the complications come in and everyone gets stumbling blocks thrown in their way. That’s how you define characters.”

James Wan keeping Aquaman’s villain count down

OHMYGOSSIP — James Wan has confirmed that ‘Aquaman’ does not have “three villains” because that would be evil overkill.
The 40-year-old filmmaker has helmed the standalone movie about the King of Atlantis – which is part of the DC Extended Universe – and rumours circulated the film was to feature three different villains, but now Wan said has spilled that he is keeping the baddie count down.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Wan said: “This is what I’ll say: I don’t have three villains. I think that’s ridiculous! I would never go into an origin movie with three villains. We don’t even know the main character let alone the world and its antagonist. I believe in taking baby steps.”
The film follows Arthur Curry/Aquaman – played by ‘Game of Thrones’ star Jason Momoa – who finds himself caught between a surface world that ravages the sea and the underwater Atlanteans who are ready to revolt.
Momoa stars alongside Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Temuere Morrison, Patrick Wilson, Abdul-Mateen and Dolph Lundgren.
Aquaman was briefly seen in a cameo in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and made his full big screen debut in ‘Justice League’.
But Wan wants to “introduce” the character in a much more “emotional and powerful way” than cinema goers so him in the ensemble film.
He said: “I want to introduce Arthur Curry in a much more emotional and powerful way, and introduce Mera played by Amber Heard, and of course there’s Nicole Kidman and Temuera Morrison playing his parents. We know Black Manta is in there, but I will say this: Patrick Wilson is the main antagonist in this film. I wouldn’t necessarily say ‘villain’ but he’s the antagonist.”
Wilson portrays the Ocean Master in the superhero flick, who is the brother of Aquaman.
Momoa recently echoed his director’s comments that ‘Justice League’ only provided a small snippet of Arthur Curry’s life and backstory.
The action hunk said: “This is a totally different beast. In ‘Aquaman’, you see when his parents met and what happened to them.
“Then the little boy being raised and finding his powers and going through that and never being accepted on either side. You just slowly see this man harden up and be completely reluctant wanting to be king and not knowing what to do with these powers he has. I think James Wan just killed it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — A ’48 Hrs.’ remake is in the works.
Comedian Jerrod Carmichael is set to co-write the script for the forthcoming revamp of the original 1982 action comedy, which starred Nicke Nolte and Eddie Murphy – who made his big screen debut in the film – as a police officer and convict respectively.

OHMYGOSSIP — James Gunn and David Yarovesky are following up their ‘Guardians Inferno’ viral success with a new horror film.
The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director and David – director of 2015 scary movie ‘The Hive’ – previously collaborated on spoof music video ‘Guardians Inferno’ featuring David Hasselhoff, which went viral earlier this year, and James has now signed up to produce an untitled horror movie, with David at the helm.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, James’ brother Brian Gunn and cousin Mark Gunn will write the script.
James’ other brother Sean Gunn previously starred in paranornal horror flick ‘The Hive’.
James already has a lot on his plate, writing the script for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’.
He previously confirmed that the next instalment in the franchise will “kick-start” the new Phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige recently confirmed the fourth ‘Avengers’ movie, which is slated for a 2019 release, will change the MCU and will signal the end of Phase 3.
James wrote on Twitter to a fan: “Read Kevin Feige’s quotes & not the static around them. It’s the end of one long story & the beginning of another. And one of the films that will kickstart the new story will be #GotGVol3. (sic)”
And following on from his work with The Hoff on ‘Guardians Inferno’, James has also been linked to a possible ‘Knightrider’ movie.
The 65-year-old actor portrayed lead character Michael Knight in the original TV series from 1982 to 1986, and revealed he has talked to the director about rebooting the franchise.

Rylan Clark-Neal quits This Morning

OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark-Neal is taking a break from ‘This Morning’ next year.
The 29-year-old presenter – who usually dishes out the showbiz gossip on the programme throughout the week – has announced that he’s planning to take a “break” from the brunch time show at the beginning of 2018 – but he’s adamant he’ll be back.
Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on today’s episode, he said: “I’ve not really said anything but after Christmas, next Friday, I’m going to be going away for a little bit. It’s definitely not goodbye but I’m going to be taking a little bit of a break new year. But I just want to say thank you because it’s been lovely and I will be back.”
Rylan didn’t go into detail about why he was leaving but Holly, 36, was clearly upset to see him leave and compared it to a mother waving goodbye to her child at an aiport.
She said: “I feel like you’re our child who is going off travelling to explore new things.”
Fans immediately took to their social networking sites to vent their frustrations.
One viewer – who goes by the name Rory Mackay – said: “We will miss you Rylan.
“You make This Morning extra special.
“Keep doing what you’re doing..you’re ace! Going to enjoy watching you with your telly Mum and Dad next week. Have a fantastic Christmas when it comes.”

Holly Willoughby shoves heat pads down bra for This Morning

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby shoved two heat packs down her bra to keep her boobs warm while she was presenting the outdoor segment on ‘This Morning’ on Friday (15.12.17).
The 36-year-old host made sure she was all toasty and comfortable when she was forced to sit outside for the latter end of the programme today as she slipped the pads, which activate when they’re snapped and provide heat for around half an hour, against her bosoms.
Speaking on the brunch time show, Phillip said: “The guy who does our outfits is actually a gem because he’s deposited heat patches in various areas of our clothes and I’ve got one heating up my kidney. It’s sitting right on my back and I’ve actually got one in the palm of my hand.”
Holly added: “I can beat that because I’ve got one in each glove and two in my bra.”
The presenting duo – who usually host the show from Monday through to Thursday – took over the episode today to give their last bit before their annual Christmas holiday next week.
Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford – who presents the show on Fridays – will front the programme all next week until they break up on Friday for the festive period.
Taking to her Instagram account before she went live today, Holly shared her outfit details and was determined to close the show with a lot of “sparkle.”
She said: “Today’s our final day on @thismorning before Christmas… let’s go out in a sparkle fest!!!! Skirt by @jcrew jumper by @joanieclothing shoes by @officeshoes #hwstyle (sic)”

Natalie J Robb teases ‘twists and turns’ in Emmerdale

OHMYGOSSIP — Emmerdale’s Natalie J. Robb has teased that there are a lot more “twists and turns” to come for her murdering alter-ego Moira Barton over the next year or so.
The 43-year-old actress was stunned when she found out her character was responsible for the death of her arch-enemy Emma Barton (Gillian Kearney) and, although she’s the culprit, she can breathe a sigh of relief because she’s just signed a new one-year contract meaning she’s got a little while before her secret is exposed.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Friday (15.12.17), Natalie said: “Not at the moment but it’s going to be a quite traumatic year. There’s lots more twists and turns to come yet.”
However, the farm girl – who has just given birth to a baby despite not knowing she was pregnant – may not end up behind bars and, instead, six-foot under as she’s turned to drugs to help her sleep and returned to the dealer who sold her daughter Holly (Sophie Powles) the batch of heroin which ultimately killed her back in 2016.
She explained: “She goes back to Holly’s dealer because sleep deprivation and having children is the one thing that’s the worst thing in the world and it’s a moment of madness because she’s just so desperate. She needs something to help her sleep and help her forget but she’s going to end up killing herself.”
Bosses are remaining tight-lipped on what’s to come but it’s believed Moira’s son Adam Barton – played by Adam Thomas – will go down for the murder.
A source said: “This whodunnit has been going on for months but just as viewers think they’ve come to a conclusion, the rug will be pulled out from under them. Last night saw Moira confess, but now the police are confided they’ve got the right suspect in Adam.”

Mollie King snubbed from Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Mollie King has been snubbed from the ‘Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour’.
The Saturdays singer was given the boot from the competition last weekend after she faced Gemma Atkinson in the dreaded dance off and lost but, although she didn’t quite make the final, fans were convinced that her successful stint on the show would mean that she’d automatically get a place on the tour alongside her partner AJ Pritchard next year.
However, fans were left devastated when they found out that the professional dancer had made the cut alongside Debbie McGee, Alexandra Burke, Joe McFadden and Gemma – the four finalist – as well as Davood Ghadami, but Mollie hadn’t.
Speaking to OK! Online, AJ said: “I’m going to be on the tour, but Mollie isn’t unfortunately. I believe I’m just going to be doing some dancing with my professional partner Chloe. ‘I’m really excited to be travelling the country, and performing in these fantastic areas.”
And the 30-year-old beauty has sparked rumours she’s disappointed by the snub as she has been liking fans’ messages in which they’ve claimed they will complain to the BBC.
Meanwhile, AJ has admitted he’s devastated that he will no longer be dancing with Mollie because he’s thoroughly enjoyed working with her and is sure they’ll remain friends.
He said: “We will be friends for life, 100 per cent. She has been an amazing partner. We have so much fun in the training room, we don’t ever want that to end. I’ll definitely be heartbroken at the end of this because it’s such a fantastic year and it’s all going so well. I wouldn’t change a thing. We feel the same way and you’ll see that this week because she gives me a very heartfelt gift. It is something I will cherish.”
The pair have sparked rumours they’re dating but both have played down the speculation.
