Ridley Scott knew he had to reshoot All the Money in the World

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Ridley Scott knew within “36 hours” he needed to reshoot ‘All the Money in the World’.
The 80-year-old filmmaker has helmed the new John Paul Getty biopic which original starred Kevin Spacey as Getty Oil Company magnate J. Paul Getty.
In the past several weeks, Spacey, 58, has been accused by multiple men of sexual harassment and assault and as soon as Scott became aware of the scandal he came to the decision to drop the actor from his project and recast Christopher Plummer in the role.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, Scott said: “I knew as soon as they hit Kevin it was going to blow wide open and I contacted my partners and said, ‘We should recast this right now. We shoot right now, we’ll be out the same day.’ Within 36 hours, I knew what I was going to do. Once I got his [Plummer] agreement, everything else was a matter of efficiency. I got a really efficient group.”
The motion picture tells the story of his character, oilman John Paul Getty , who refused to pay a ransom after his grandson, John Paul Getty III, was kidnapped.
Fortunately for Scott most of the scenes in the thriller film involve Getty III’s mother Gail Harris (Michelle Williams), and Getty’s advisory (Mark Wahlberg) rather than Getty himself.
Spacey is said to have worked around eight to 10 days on the movie set.
Plummer – who is best known for starring as Captain Von Trapp in ‘The Sound of Music’ – agreed to join the movie because he “wanted to work” with Scott.
The 88-year-old actor said: “I really would have said yes anyway if I hadn’t read it, because I wanted to work with him very much. I did read it, and said yes, and boom we were off to the races.”
John Paul Getty III was just 16 when he was grabbed during a night out in the Piazza Farnese in Rome, Italy, on 10 July 1973 and then kept chained in a cave for six months with a ransom note demanding $17 million delivered to the family.
Initially his grandfather believed that his grandson may have staged the kidnap himself and refused to pay anything, also fearing if he paid up then all of his other grandchildren would be targets.
He also ignored the pleas of his own son, John Paul Getty Jr. to free him, and the pleas of John Paul’s mother Gail as she had divorced his son and had refused his money to raise her family alone, however, when one of his ears was sent through the post to a newspaper along with a lock of his hair the tycoon eventually paid $2.9 million to free him.
Nine of the kidnappers were eventually arrested and two were sent to prison.
But John Paul – whose son is actor Balthazar Getty – never fully recovered from the harrowing ordeal becoming an alcoholic and drug addict. He eventually died at the age of 54 following a long battle with ill health which began when he took a cocktail of Valium, methadone and alcohol in 1981 which caused liver failure and induced a stroke which left him a quadriplegic and nearly blind.

Kevin Lima has no plans for Enchanted sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Lima didn’t want there to be an ‘Enchanted’ sequel.
The 55-year-old filmmaker helmed the 2007 Disney movie and now, 10 years later, the studio is looking to make a sequel and Amy Adams reportedly has signed up to reprise her role as Princess Giselle.
However, Lima has stepped away from the sequel and said he thinks his original movie is “complete in and of itself”.
Speaking to Den of Geek, Lima said: “I always find that I’m heading off into the world looking for new adventures. The idea of making a sequel isn’t the most intriguing for me. At the same time, I haven’t been able to even suggest a sequel to them. ‘Enchanted’ feels like a movie that’s complete in and of itself. I’m sure if I was forced to stick my nose to the grindstone I could work something out. I don’t have a story that feels compelling, though. Nothing’s come to me. I tend not to dwell on it.
“I keep thinking what’s next? What other stories can I tell?”
The follow up – known as ‘Disenchanted’ – will be set 10 years after the original and feature Giselle “questioning her happily ever after, and accidentally triggering events that make everyone’s lives turn upside down in both the real world and in the animated kingdom of Andalasia”.
In the first movie Gisele rejected Prince Edward (James Marsden) in order to remain in New York with Robert Phillip (Patrick Dempsey), a divorce lawyer she fell in love with, and his daughter Morgan.
It is not yet clear if Dempsey or Marsden will return for the sequel.
The sequel was originally due to be filmed in 2010 and is now set to begin filming in 2017, 10 years on from its original release.
‘Rock of Ages’ director Adam Shankman will helm the project, while David Stem and David Weiss have written the script.

Carrie Fisher’s death almost changed The Last Jedi

OHMYGOSSIP — Rian Johnson considered changing ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ following the shock death of Carrie Fisher.
The 44-year-old filmmaker wrote and directed the eighth instalment of the sci-fi franchise, which sees the return saga legends Fisher and Mark Hamill as sister and brother General Leia Organa and Luke Skywalker.
Last December, Fisher died at the age of 60 and although she had shot all the scenes for ‘The Last Jedi’, Johnson admitted he was unsure about whether to change the movie’s plot following her passing as she would no longer be able to be part of ‘Episode IX’.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Johnson said: “That was the very first conversation I had with Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy after we came back, after New Year’s. I kind of looked through the footage. That was the very first question. I felt really strongly that what we have here is so beautiful and the way that the character develops, the way it’s paid off, and not only that, the horror of trying to manufacture something that – I don’t even know what it would have been, but something for the end of this movie that leaves it in a place where the transition is easier, the idea of, ‘Oh God, how would you fake something like that and how would it not be terrible?
“Given that we have a beautiful, complete performance from her that I think audiences deserve to see, and I think it will mean a lot for them, that ray of hope from Leia. For all of those reasons I felt really strongly that we had to let this fly. Luckily we have a fantastic storyteller in J.J. Abrams who is going to figure out a way to bring it home in the end, that’s going to be satisfying, I know he’s going to.
“With this movie I just wanted audiences to have this performance.”
Abrams, 51, directed and co-wrote the first film in the new trilogy, ‘The Force Awakens’, and has been brought back to create the final part of the new story following Colin Trevorrow’s departure from the project.

Mark Hamill voices an alien in Star Wars: The Last Jedi

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Hamill voices an alien in ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ as well as playing Luke Skywalker.
The 66-year-old actor appears as the Jedi Master in the eighth instalment of the popular sci-fi franchise but he also lent his voice to a CGI character known as Dobbu Scay.
However, Hamill has refused to give any more details about his new character because he loves “the mystery of it all”.
Speaking at a post-screening on the movie, Hamill said: “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m not telling. I like playing the mystery of it all. I said I’d love to do a CGI thing and he said sure. And I got to go to the set of the casino and see in detail 150 extras in jaw-dropping costumes.”
Hamill is a veteran voice actor having won numerous plaudits for voicing The Joker in ‘Batman: The Animated Series’ and numerous feature length animations based on DC Comics stories, including ‘The Killing Joke’.
Although Hamill shot to fame in the original ‘Star Wars’ trilogy as Luke Skywalker, he recently admitted it may have been more fun to play Darth Vader or Han Solo, although he likes playing “bland” Luke because he is the “one centred character” to be a contrast to all the other characters in a galaxy far, far away.
He said: “When I first read the screenplay of ‘A New Hope’, I felt it would be much more fun to play the cynical pirate who’s always making wisecracks or Darth Vader, who has such an interesting role, or C-3PO, who is hilarious. Luke is so bland! He doesn’t have as much colour as the other characters.
“But it’s like Dorothy in ‘The Wizard of Oz’ – there has to be one centred character to provide contrast to all the other characters around them, even if I would rather play the Cowardly Lion or the Tin Man or even The Wizard than Dorothy.
“And Luke makes people feel at ease. He’s not scary like a pirate. He’s not spectacularly talented or super intelligent, he is just an average farm boy. And that is a nice thing.”

Oscar Isaac in talks for The Addams Family

OHMYGOSSIP — Oscar Isaac is in line to voice a starring role in the new animated movie adaptation of ‘The Addams Family’.
The ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ actor will lend his vocal talents to the head of the family, Gomez Addams, if talks with MGM are successful, according to Variety.
The studio has just confirmed the latest big-screen incarnation of the comedy horror clan is going ahead, announcing a release date of October 11, 2019.
Conrad Vernon – director of the Seth Rogen adult animation ‘Sausage Party’ – is on board to helm the new Addams Family project from a screenplay by Pamela Pettler, who worked as a writer on Tim Burton’s ‘The Corpse Bride’.
Oscar, 38, made his Hollywood breakthrough in the award-winning Coen Brothers’ movie ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ and is now best known for his role as X-wing pilot Poe Dameron in the new ‘Star Wars’ franchise.
The new movie will be based on Charles Addams’ original cartoons of ‘The Addams Family’ – a spooky and eccentric family – which were published in The New Yorker between 1938 and 1988, when the artist died.
‘The Addams Family’ have appeared on the big and small screen several times over the years, first being made into a hit TV sitcom in 1964 starring Carolyn Jones and John Astin as Morticia and Gomez Addams.
A live-action film titled ‘The Addams Family’ was released in 1991 starring Anjelica Huston and Raul Julia as Morticia and Gomez, and a young Christina Ricci as their daughter Wednesday.
Gomez and Morticia Addams live in a haunted mansion with their children Wednesday and Pugsley, Uncle Fester, Grandmama, their butler Lurch, a disembodied hand called Thing, and their hairy Cousin Itt.

Doug Liman crashed wedding to secure rights for The Bourne Identity

OHMYGOSSIP — Doug Liman crashed a wedding when trying to secure to film rights to ‘The Bourne Identity’ franchise.
The 52-year-old filmmaker directed the first instalment of the Matt Damon franchise back in 2002 and although the ‘Bourne’ franchise spawned four subsequent films, Liman didn’t act as the director but instead as executive producer.
In a recent interview, Liman has spoken on the lengths he went to in order to secure the rights to the book – which was written by Robert Ludlum – which included crashing a wedding to try and speak to Terry Semel of Warner Bros. Studios.
Speaking to Den of Geek, Liman said: “I’d loved ‘The Bourne Identity’ since high school. After ‘Swingers’ was a pretty big hit, people were asking me what movie I want to make. I said ‘The Bourne Identity’. And Hollywood said, no, what kind of small comedy do you want to make? I really wanted to make ‘The Bourne Identity’ and Hollywood was not ready to give me the opportunity. I never stopped pursuing the chance to do the book myself. I crashed a wedding where Terry Semel of Warner Bros was because I thought Warner Bros had the rights. I was shameless in my pursuit of the rights, and I eventually found Ludlum’s lawyer and he told me the rights were about to revert to Ludlum from Warner Bros.”
Liman arranged to meet him in Glacier National Park after just becoming a pilot and buying himself an airplane.
After spending a weekend with the spy author, Liman won him over and eventually secured the rights to the now successful movie franchise.
Liman also recently spoke about how he was worried he was making a “poor man’s spy movie” and didn’t think it would be as successful as Tom Cruise’s ‘Mission: Impossible’.
He said: “I felt so insecure while I was making ‘The Bourne Identity’ that I was making a poor man’s spy movie.
“There was someone of the set who had the ‘Mission: Impossible’ ring tone on his phone, and every time his phone rang it drove me nuts because I was afraid my movie was never going to be as good as ‘Mission: Impossible’.
“It was never going to be as good as James Bond. So it was really surreal afterwards to go and see the next James Bond film, and be like, ‘Oh, I did make a James Bond film, because now the James Bond film looks like ‘The Bourne Identity’.”

Morgan Spurlock’s film dropped from Sundance

OHMYGOSSIP — Morgan Spurlock’s ‘Super Size Me 2: Holy Chicken!’ has been dropped from the Sundance Film Festival.
The 47-year-old filmmaker’s former company Warrior Poets have pulled the documentary movie from the schedule at the upcoming event after the screenwriter admitted he is “part of the problem” of sexual misconduct.
The company said in a statement: “Due to Morgan Spurlock stepping down from Warrior Poets, we, the partners, have decided that this is not the appropriate time for Super Size Me 2: Holy Chicken! to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
“Therefore, we will be removing the documentary from the festival’s slate.”
The Sundance Institute added in a statement: “We fully support these decisions by the film’s teams. We were saddened to read Morgan Spurlock’s recent admissions.
“We empathise deeply with the many people affected – especially the women who were impacted.”
Last week, Morgan admitted the current climate in Hollywood has left him wondering about his own past, because he is not an “innocent bystander”.
He explained: “As I sit around watching hero after hero, man after man, fall at the realisation of their past indiscretions, I don’t sit by and wonder ‘Who will be next?’ I wonder, ‘When will they come for me?’
“You see, I’ve come to understand after months of these revelations, that I am not some innocent bystander, I am also a part of the problem.”
The CNN presenter admitted he had paid to settle a “verbal” sexual harassment allegation from his former assistant.
He admitted: “I would call my female assistant ‘hot pants’ or ‘sex pants’ when I was yelling to her from the other side of the office.
“Something I thought was funny at the time, but then realised I had completely demeaned and belittled her to a place of non-existence.
“So, when she decided to quit, she came to me and said if I didn’t pay her a settlement, she would tell everyone. Being who I was, it was the last thing I wanted, so of course, I paid.
“I paid for peace of mind. I paid for her silence and cooperation. Most of all, I paid so I could remain who I was.”
The Sundance Film Festival 2018 will take place from January 18-28 in Park City, Utah.

Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay scrap music career

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay have scrapped all future plans to pursue their music career.
The former ‘Love Island’ contestants released their debut single titled ‘Little Bit Leave It’ in October this year just after they penned the track during the ITV2 reality show.
And since Kem, 21, has signed up for the upcoming series of ‘Dancing on Ice’ the pals have been forced to put their entertainment ventures on the back burner, and they insist they are “not” working on “any new music at the minute”.
Chris, 24, told OK! Online: “We haven’t got an album coming out, a lot of people have asked us. We’re not even working on any new music at the minute. We’re busy just doing our own thing. And obviously he’s started on his ‘Dancing On Ice’ training, so he’s going to be flat out. We just haven’t got the time.”
And the former hairdresser has set tongues wagging he will remain on the small screen for a “long time” to come as he has recently signed to James Grant management firm, who look after Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, as well as fellow television presenters Holly Willoughby, Christine Lampard and ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ host Emma Willis.
A source previously said: “It secures his time on telly for a long time.
“He bumped into Dec at the management’s offices and he was saying how he and Ant loved ‘Love Island’ and they were texting each other throughout the series.
“Dec told him he should be himself, not change, keep doing what he’s doing because people love him.
“Kem was really overwhelmed.
“It’s unusual for James Grant to sign someone from a show like ‘Love Island’ so it shows just how marketable Kem is.
“Anyone from ‘Love Island’ would jump at the chance so it’s a fantastic opportunity for him.
“He’s definitely in the best place.”

Gemma Atkinson: Break would’ve killed me without Strictly

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Atkinson says not having ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ to “occupy” her time off would’ve “killed [her] mentally”.
The 33-year-old actress – whose ‘Emmerdale’ character Carly Hope is currently away from the village – is returning to weight training for the first time since the BBC one ballroom and latin show finished on Saturday (16.12.17), and admits without the competition filling her free time, she’d have been an emotional mess.
Despite the rigorous training for ‘Strictly’, Gemma claims she is “heavier and not as fit” as she was three months ago, which is making her “nervous” about picking up weights again.
Alongside a screenshot of her Women’s Health shoot posted on her Instagram, Gemma wrote: “With Stricly being finished Im going to have my routine back in place when it comes to my training and most importantly my meal choices. I haven’t done a “big shop” or weight trained since September. Without having the dancing to occupy me, mentally that time off would have killed me. Training is my alone time and my form of therapy. I’m really looking forward to getting back in the gym @upfitnesslive although I’m heavier and not as fit as I was 3 months ago so I’m also a tad nervous but hey, If I can attempt to dance in front of 12 million people on a Saturday then I can show up with @markbo1989 Evil steve and @zusun83 and attempt to get back to feeling my best! They just may need to bring a sick bucket. Time to Grind!! #ladieswholift (sic)”
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ star previously revealed she was told she was “too muscular” to do ‘Strictly”.
The blonde beauty poured blood, sweat and tears into the show, and was thrilled she can now rub it in the faces of those who slammed her for being bigger than most dancers after being a finalist on the programme.
She said previously: “Obviously I’m into training and going to the gym, I’m not your typical petite kind of dancer’s physique. I’m broad, I’m tall and everyone said there’s no way you’ll ever be able to do it because you’re too muscular or because I’m too much of a tomboy and I’m too much of this.
“Obviously getting here is a massive achievement but I love the fact, women who perhaps do weight training or do boxing or don’t like wearing dresses at the weekends or don’t like the spray tans have said to me, ‘I’m going to try and do some dancing because you can do it’
and that’s what I like.
“The fact that you shouldn’t be fitted into a stereotype because of your build or what you’re naturally good at or what you gravitate to as a hobby.”

Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood to get own TV show

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Attwood and Chris Hughes have reportedly landed their own TV series.
The on/off couple – who met and fell for one another in the ‘Love Island’ villa over the summer but have been plagued by break ups and make ups – have been approached by bosses about fronting their own reality TV show based on their turbulent relationship.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Chris and Olivia’s romance is a rocky one. It will make for great reality TV, but only if they make it to the end of the series still together.”
And that’s not the only television opportunity they’re keen on as the pair think they’d be th perfect “mentors” for future ‘Love Island’ contestants because of their history.
Chris said: “I would be a fantastic mentor, if anyone was struggling emotionally I could help them through it. I would cry with them and help them through it.”
Olivia added: “I think me and Chris would be really good at it, because we had the most traumatic experience. It was a really rocky road for us to get to where we are. When it comes back we should be the villa therapists.
“Also if the girls wanted to go on like a night out to get the boys sweating then I could take them. We could be the mentors for the new people.”
Chris and Olivia haven’t had the smoothest of journeys after they left the show.
The duo were embroiled in a war of words with Katie Price and the 26-year-old hunk was videoed kissing a mystery woman whilst out on the town.
He said in a statement: “I was a mess Saturday night, couldn’t remember an awful lot. I put my arm around a stranger which I should never have done, and I still don’t know, but it’s a lesson learnt not to be a drunk t***.
“All of us do things we shouldn’t one time or another and do stupid s**t, but nothing escalated as it would never. Sometimes takes an incident to sharpen up in life. Just being a drunk d**k.”

Helen Flanagan is pregnant

OHMYGOSSIP — Helen Flanagan is pregnant.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who plays Rosie Webster in the long-running soap – is expecting her second child with her partner Scott Sinclair and the pair can’t wait for their two-year-old daughter Matilda to meet her new little brother or sister.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Scott said: “It was a little bit of a surprise.
“I was away in Dubai with my family. Helen couldn’t come as she was filming. She found out on a Thursday but had to wait until I got home five days later to tell me.”
Helen added: “I did three more tests just to make sure it was correct! I had a very strong feeling I was pregnant, so I wasn’t surprised.”
And, now that they have another little one on the way, the couple – who have been together since 2009 – are determined to get married so they all have the same name.
Helen said: “We both would love to get married and for us all to have same name.”
The 27-year-old star was initially waiting until Matilda was at least four until they’d start trying for another baby but they’re over the moon that their family is extending.
She explained: “I was very happy, but I was a bit taken aback as this baby wasn’t in the plan. I knew I would feel a lot better once I’d told Scott.”
It’s not known whether the couple are living together as Helen was staying in Manchester with her parents while filming the ITV soap and Scott is in Scotland playing football but the brunette beauty recently admitted that separation is “healthy”.
She said earlier this year: “I’m commuting between Glasgow and Bolton. But I try to get back to Scotland as often as I can because I want to see Scott and Scott wants to see Matilda…
“We’ve been together over seven years. We love spending time together but it’s nice for us to do our own things as well. I think it’s healthy to do that in a relationship.”

Cara De La Hoyde’s newborn son weed, pooped and sicked on her

OHMYGOSSIP — Cara De La Hoyde’s newborn son “weed, pooped and sicked” on her this morning (18.12.17).
The ‘Love Island’ 2016 winner gave birth to her little bundle of joy four days ago and, although she’s managed to avoid getting any of his body fluids on her, she officially joined the “new mums club” today when her tiny tot “got her good” with his vomit, urine and poo.
Taking to her Twitter account after the poop explosion, she wrote: “So iv just been welcomed officially in the new mums club with a morning being weed pooped & sicked on very glam dodged it for 4 days but today he got me good (sic)”
It’s not yet known what Cara and her ex-boyfriend boyfriend Nathan Massey have decided to call their little boy but they were overcome with love when they first locked eyes on him.
Taking to his Instagram account last week, Nathan uploaded a photo of Cara in labour alongside the caption: “The day has finally come !!!! Myself and @cara_delahoyde have become parents to our beautiful baby boy !!! Massive hats off to Cara Who delivered our boy safely !!!!! #thenextchapter P.S I hope you don’t kill me for the pic Cara (sic)”
The pair – who split up before the brunette beauty found out she was pregnant – have no plans to get back together but Nathan, 25, is planning to move in with Cara for “a few nights a week” now that their little one has arrived into the world.
Cara said recently: “There are no plans to get back together right now, but he’ll stay over for a few nights a week when the baby arrives.
“We’d both be gutted if one of us started dating someone new – I always think of him as ‘my Nathan’ but we’re happy as we are and we get on brilliantly.”

ITV want another Birds of a Feather series

OHMYGOSSIP — ITV want to commission another series of ‘Birds of a Feather’.
The channel have begged Linda Robson, Pauline Quirke and Lesley Joseph – who play Tracey Stubbs, Sharon Theodopolopodous and Dorien Green respectively – to do another instalment of the hit comedy next year but, although the trio would love to, they’re all really busy with other work commitments until the middle of 2018.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Monday (18.12.17), she said: “A the moment, they’re both really busy because Lesley is doing ‘Young Frankenstein’ until August but ITV have asked and hopefully – please God – we’ll all get the time to do another series together but at the moment it’s just the Christmas specials.”
However, although they can’t do another series at the moment, fans can tune in to the festive special tonight (18.12.17) and Boxing Day (26.12.17) evening.
She explained: “The Christmas special is going to be a really really good one honestly. We have had a lot of fun with the show over the years and this one in particular because we decide to feed the homeless.”
The trio have have been good friends for years and buy each other the same presents – something with birds on it – for Christmas every single year.
Linda said: “We buy the same thing for each other every year – anything with birds on – and I buy them their centre decorations for the Christmas tables …
The 59-year-old actress usually does panto at the time of year but has decided to sit out this time around because she wants to enjoy the festive season with her family.
She explained: “On Christmas day I’ll be at home – normally I do panto but I’ve had the year off this year – we go to the cemetery as well and then we come home and I cook the dinner and then we play games in the afternoon. We get very competitive.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s love story to be turned into TV series

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Goodwin thinks the fairy tale romance of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be turned into a television series in the future – but the story will be based on messages.
The 55-year-old writer – who spent years studying the diaries of the late Queen Victoria in order to turn her life into the small screen production ‘Victoria’ – believes the newly-engaged couple’s relationship is the perfect tale to turn into a drama but creators will probably turn to their text exchange in order to build a picture of their connection.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Daisy said: “Whereas I used old diaries of Queen Victoria, I think the writer will be seeking out WhatsApp messages and emoticons exchanged between Meghan and Harry for material. I think they will probably contain better detail than any diary.”
But, although she’s only basing her series on Victoria’s diaries, Daisy has plenty more to come as ITV have just commissioned a third instalment for next year.
She said: “Series three will start in 1848 which was a hugely dramatic and eventful time for both the royal family and Europe, with revolutions on the continent and uncertainty around the monarchy. Viewers can expect more drama than ever before in the third series.”
And, although she loves Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes playing Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, Daisy would like to see Helen Bonham Carter portray the monarch.
She explained: “I hope the series can run through Victoria’s reign, I have thought about how it could continue … I mean, yes, it could run and run…
“[A cast reshuffle] could be possible, [but] I have to say it would be very hard to top Jenna Coleman. I think it kind of depends really on the appetite of the public.
“Helena Bonham Carter would be good.. [But] for now I can only think of Jenna.”

Vicky Pattison thinks Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo was at ‘unfair advantage’ in I’m A Celeb…

OHMYGOSSIP — Vicky Pattison thinks Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo was bound to win ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ because her reality TV background put her at an “unfair advantage.”
The former ‘Geordie Shore’ star – who won the creepy-crawly show in 2015 – predicted that the 23-year-old beauty would snatch the crown from last year’s winner Scarlett Moffat, who shot to fame on ‘Gogglebox’, before the series kicked off last month because she’s used to working in front of the cameras due to ‘Made in Chelsea’.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, the 30-year-old star said: “It’s no coincidence me, Scarlett Moffatt and Toff, who all make our living being ourselves on TV, have won.
“Hand on heart, I do think it’s an unfair advantage. We are used to reality TV and having cameras on us all the time. These sports stars, or former pop stars, are great but they lack the level of self-promotion we have. I’m not taking anything away from anyone because I think Scarlett and Toff deserved to win, and hopefully I did too. But what I will say is our reality TV backgrounds have stood us in good stead.”
Following her win, fans up and down the country were hoping that Toff would go into politics after forming a bond with Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson’s father Stanley in the jungle, but she’s adamant she’s not “intelligent enough” to become a MP.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said: “Oh God, no. I’m nowhere near intelligent enough but it would be a dream – in about 25 years.”
Meanwhile, Toff believes being bullied as a child helped her to win the show because
she developed the ability to avoid confrontation from a very young age.
She said: “I’m very passive and in the four years I’ve been on ‘Made In Chelsea’ I generally avoid arguing. I really don’t like it.
“So when there was animosity in camp I could feel it. I would always remove myself from the drama by going for a work-out, a swim or hanging out with Stanley Johnson, who was mostly doing his own thing.
So I didn’t experience any upset.
“Maybe by nature and because of my past I protect myself. The minute I feel any tension I take myself away. I really prefer to be positive.”

Courtney Wood hits out at Apprentice tie

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Apprentice’ 2016 runner-up Courtney Wood has branded the show “flawed” for having two winners this year.
For the first time in the show’s 13-year history, Lord Sugar declared the contest a tie, crowning both finalists James White and Sarah Lynn joint victors in last night’s final (17.12.17), but the novelty gift company owner – who lost out to cake maker Alana Spencer in last year’s show – has hit out at the decision.
He told The Sun newspaper: “It seems farcical that a television show could have more than one winner.
“‘Strictly Come Dancing’ had one winner. ‘The Great British Bake Off’ had one winner.
“I would have loved to be known as the winner of ‘The Apprentice’ but sharing that crown with someone else takes the glory away.”
Courtney speculated the BBC show could even be axed if viewers lose faith in the format.
He said: “The general public will lose faith in the show after this.
“Now we have two winners at the end of the process, does the show work any more?
“The format is completely flawed. Lord Sugar is a great businessman and has had a fantastic career so I’m surprised he has been this indecisive.”
Courtney tweeted: “Big congrats to the winners of this years #theapprentice I wish them every success with their businesses. But do we want to watch a show for 12 weeks to see a score draw? (sic)”
Joint-winner and recruitment company owner James was quick to defend ‘The Apprentice’.
He said: “Lord Sugar isn’t going soft. The candidates were strong this year.
“To double the investment and showcase that he can have two successful businesses is a good thing.”
