Zoe Ball introduces her new boyfriend to Norman Cook

OHMYGOSSIP — Zoe Ball has already introduced her new boyfriend Michael Reed to her estranged husband Norman Cook.
The 47-year-old TV presenter – who has kids Woody, 16, and Nelly, seven, with the world-famous DJ, who is also known as Fatboy Slim – has started dating again following the suicide of her cameraman boyfriend Billy Yates in May and she’s now introduced Michael to her ex.
A source said: “It shows things are getting serious. Zoe’s family are so important to her.
“For her family to want to spend time with them as a couple is just the icing on the cake after she has found happiness again. She’s over the moon they approve.
“But Zoe has remained very close to Norman and he has been a rock to her through everything.”
Zoe is thrilled that Michael and Norman have already developed a good relationship.
The insider told The Sun newspaper: “It really means a lot to Zoe to also have his seal of approval and for Michael and Norman to get on.”
News of Zoe’s burgeoning relationship with Michael was reported earlier this month.
The British TV star – who separated from Norman in 2016, having been married to him since 1999 – spent Christmas Day with her own family, but was still in regular contact with the dad-of-three on December 25.
Of how they both enjoyed the big day, the source explained: “They spent Christmas Day apart as they wanted to spend it with their kids but they kept in touch through the day.”

Marnie Simpson: Casey Johnson is ‘good in bed’

OHMYGOSSIP — Marnie Simpson thinks her boyfriend Casey Johnson is “good in bed.”
The ‘Geordie Shore’ star struck up a relationship with the former Union J singer over the summer while shooting ‘Single AF’ abroad and, although many people didn’t think their romance would work out, the brunette beauty has admitted she’s besotted with her multi-skilled man.
She said: “He’s loving and caring, a bit of a geek – which I love.
“He reminds me of Simon from ‘The Inbetweeners’, that type of nerdiness. He’s got lovely floppy hair, nice green eyes, lovely stubble and he’s really good in bed.”
The couple may not have been together very long but they’re certainly not taking their time with their relationship as they’ve just bought a house together in London.
Casey recently said: OMGGGG TODAY IS THE DAY ME AND @MarnieGShore MOVE INTO OUR DREAM HOME AHHHHHH (sic).”
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old star has admitted she was initially hesitant about getting involved with Casey, 22, because she thought he was “too young”.
She said: “I did think he was gorgeous looking but he’s the opposite of the sort of guy I would normally go for, so I was kind of battling it. I usually like lads who are much older, so I wasn’t sure how I felt in the beginning. I always thought that he looked too young for us and he just wasn’t for me. But then I fell for him! I couldn’t help it.”
But things are getting so serious between the couple that Marnie would even consider quitting ‘Geordie Shore’ for the sake of their romance.
Asked if she’d leave for Casey, she said: “If I felt like something serious had happened then of course, yeah.
“I’ve always said if it was causing problems or if my relationship grew into something serious then I would. But I wouldn’t want to quit unless I had to.”

Eamonn Holmes turns down 800k CBB offer

OHMYGOSSIP — Eamonn Holmes has turned down an £800,000 offer to appear on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The 58-year-old TV presenter – who was awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours list – has insisted he doesn’t need the money and he has no interest in appearing in the Channel 5 reality TV show.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday: “This one is the biggest so far at £800,000. But no amount of money could tempt him.
“He’s said it isn’t about the money because he doesn’t need to earn more cash than he already does through his TV projects.
“Eamonn told producers he absolutely loves the show and is a committed viewer, but definitely doesn’t want to be a housemate.”
However, Eamonn has reportedly told show bosses that he would be happy to take part in a task with the housemates.
Not much is known about the new series of ‘CBB’ but it’ll hit screens on January 2, 2018, and will see an all-female cast head into the iconic house in commemoration of 100 years since women won the right to vote.
A statement from Channel 5 said: “Presented by Emma Willis, ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ will initially explore how the all-female housemates interact, from politicians to performing artists, as they enter the house first, ahead of the celebrity male housemates. Over the course of the series, as the male counterparts enter the house, the housemates will take part in a series of entertaining tasks and hidden experiments which will test their – and our – assumptions, challenge gender stereotypes and reveal fascinating truths about what it is to be a woman – and man – in the 21st century.”
The line up is yet to be confirmed by Channel 5.

Hugh Jackman says quality TV has improved Hollywood movies

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman says prestige TV helped ‘The Greatest Showman’ to be a better movie.
Hugh was first attacked to the movie in 2009 but it didn’t start filming until 2016 and Hugh believes that the quality of TV shows in the current climate has forced Hollywood movies to improve in order to tempt people out of their homes.
He explained to Collider: “There’s been now for a while this belief and this commitment to giving people more than they expect, changing things up, taking some risk. The landscape in TV has been changing so rapidly and there’s such high quality – high-quality writing and acting – and that it’s inevitable. If we’re gonna convince people to go out to a cinema, we have to give them more than they’re gonna get at home.”
In the new movie, which also stars Zac Efron and Zendaya, Hugh stars as P.T. Barnum of the famed Barnum and Bailey Circus and Hugh, 49, had to have his stitches from skin cancer redone after singing a line from the musical.
The actor wasn’t going to let the fact he could have “ruptured” 80 stitches in his nose stop him from performing one part of the movie.
He said: “There was a lot riding on the final read through, but I’d had a skin cancer removed from my nose the day before and my surgeons said I must not on any account sing because it could rupture the 80 stitches.
“A stand in was going to sing my part, but when it came to the big final number I was so taken up by the moment that I sang my heart out.
“When I finished it was a good showbiz moment and everyone was happy but there was blood trickling down my face and I had to be re-stitched. But, it was so worth it!”

French film based on Bataclan terror attack is shelved

OHMYGOSSIP — The French film based on the 2015 terror attack on the Bataclan music venue in Paris has been put on hold.
‘Ce soir-la’, which follows the fictional romance between a single mother and an Afghan refugee who meet on the night of 13 November as they rescue survivors of the attacks, was in the middle of being edited when it was shelved after the families of those killed in the horrific incident branded the film “scandalous.”
Claire Peltier – whose partner David was among those killed in the terror attack – told the Agence France Presse news agency that it was “too soon” for such a “painful story” to be told on the big screen.
She added: “We are scandalised that such a film could see the light of day so soon after a violent event.”
The mother-of-two has since started a petition, which has attracted 39,000 signatures, to block the film.
France 2 said the film was still being edited and added: “No transmission date had been fixed for the film… which has not yet been seen by the station’s management.”
The Eagles of Death Metal were performing to around 1,500 people at the Bataclan when masked gunmen stormed the venue, firing and the band and their fans, killing 90 people and injuring hundreds.
Meanwhile, the band – who cancelled their tour after the shocking incident – returned to the French capital last month for a surprise gig to mark the two-year anniversary of those who sadly lost their lives in the attack.
The event was setup by some of the survivors and held at the French capital’s town hall in the 11th district.
The group dedicated ‘I Love You All the Time’ and ‘Save a Prayer’, which was the last track they performed before gunshots echoed around the venue two years ago, to those who tragically died.
Before giving everyone in the crowd white roses as a sign of respect, Jesse said: “I’m so happy and pleased to see all of you.The only reason we’re still standing is because you all still love rock and roll.”

Chance The Rapper wants to make film on President Donald Trump

OHMYGOSSIP — Chance The Rapper wants to make a movie about President Donald Trump.
The ‘No Problem’ hitmaker took to his Twitter account yesterday (29.12.17) to pitch a new film idea to fans and potential executives as he explained the plot would revolve around an old iPod and the music on it would change the way the controversial Republican leader – who took over from Barack Obama this year – viewed the world.
He tweeted: “Alright I gotta movie pitch: a thread.
“President Trump gets an old Ipod for christmas… This is his very first ipod… But not only is it his first Ipod, he’s actually never listened to music before in his life.
“This Ipod has music from the past, present & FUTURE… And like A Christmas Carol, It’s a Wonderful Life or What Women Want this Ipod drastically changes how President Trump sees the world (sic)…”
He referred to the future film as a “Suspense Thriller/ Sappy Christmas Musical” and asked his fans to help him come up with an ending for the movie as well as a title and who they would like to play the President and the other characters in the film.
He wrote: “HOLLYWOOD (& TWITTER) IM TAGGING YOU IN: I need Songs, actors, a title, an ending! Whatever you got I’m all ears (sic)”.
Despite his well-thought out plot, the 24-year-old rapper is adamant he’s not making the switch from music to movies anytime soon and urged fans not to make the film.
He said: “I was just joking im not making either movie.
“I was just checking to see how yall felt about it. It was just jokes. Dont go make that movie. It would be dangerous (sic).”

Sarah Lancashire slams Coronation Street

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Lancashire would never return to ‘Coronation Street’.
The 53-year-old actress is adamant she’d never reprise her role as Raquel Watts – a part she played from 1991 until 2000 – because the long-running soap isn’t the show she once knew.
She’s quoted by The Sun Online as saying: “No … The show I was in doesn’t exist any more. Now do the next question – ‘Would you ever go back?’ No.”
And it seems Sarah isn’t the only one who is unimpressed by ‘Corrie’ recently as Carol Vorderman asked producers to turn the show around because she hasn’t laughed watching it since last year and has admitted even comedienne Mary Taylor – played by Patti Clare – who is known for her hilarious one-liners, has been slapped with some sombre storylines recently.
Taking to her Twitter account recently, Carol said: “I’ve put this on my list to Santa this year..
“PUR-LEAZE Father Christmas make Corrie funny again….the last time I had a laugh watching it was in about September 2016.. even wonderful Mary is now tragic. #BringBackCorrieComedy (sic).”
And some of Carol’s fans agreed with her as some had said they’d given up watching in recent weeks.
To which the 56-year-old star replied: “Agreed…..just watching the bit where Anna (bless her) who has just nearly murdered Eileen, Rosie not said that Phelan went into the office to plant evidence, Anna and Fay(e) lying in a car surrounded by police and Anna says to her “Faye have I ever let you down?”…er….????? (sic)”
But there was certainly no humour over the festive season as fans have just seen Carla Connor (Alison King) reveal that she has kidney failure and needs an operation desperately.

Des O’Connor’s Christmas virus

OHMYGOSSIP — Des O’Connor sparked fears for his health after admitting he was unwell over Christmas.
The veteran TV star took to social media to explain that he had been poorly over the Christmas period, leaving fans upset and worried.
One wrote: “I’ve checked the departure list for 2017 and your names not on it … Get better soon (sic).”
Another fan added: “Really sorry to hear your not feeling your best Des. I do have a couple of your LP’s and loved your work with Eric and Ernie. Feel better soon (sic).”
However, the 85-year-old star later deleted the message and his spokesperson told The Sun that fans had nothing to worry about.
The spokesperson said: “All the family picked up a tummy virus on Christmas Eve – but they’ve been checked out and they’re all clear and recovering fine now.”
Des has been married four times and welcomed his fifth child in 2004, when his fourth wife Jodie Brooke Wilson – who is 37 years his junior – gave birth.
He said at the time: “Jodie wanted a baby and if I’d said: ‘I’ve got four children, but you can’t have one’ that would have been selfish.
“And if I live as long as my own father – he died at 95 – I should be around to see Adam get married. I do get concerned that one day he’ll realise his dad is older than the other fathers, but I can’t do anything about that.
“We have a lot of fun together. I still play football with him, and for his birthday I’ll be going with him to Legoland with a minibus full of his mates.”

Claire King’s favourite role to play was Kim Tate in Emmerdale

OHMYGOSSIP — Claire King’s favourite role to play was Kim Tate in ‘Emmerdale’.
The 54-year-old actress portrayed the mega bitch for 10 years until 1999 and, although she’s also made a name for herself playing governor Karen Betts in ‘Bad Girls’ and, most recently, Erica Holroyd in ‘Coronation Street’, she has admitted she thoroughly enjoyed her time on the long-running soap and would love to reprise it one day.
She explained: !I apologise to all the others, but Kim Tate was the ultimate, I had the chance to play some great themes, I had some brilliant storylines, and I got paid to ride a horse all day.”
Claire – who used to have a jockey licence – particularly enjoyed it because she got to do all of her own stunts and found it hilarious when the horses failed to obey and let out some noises from their bottoms.
She explained: “I did all my own stunts, you did all your own stunts then because you didn’t have stunt people to do it for you, they would say ‘oh I just do buildings and stuff, you’re a better rider than me anyway’ and they didn’t have the health and safety after them in those days which they do now, so yeah I did all my own stunts.
“Apart from when it does nasty things, make noises. Oh yeah, galloping up the field with the horse trumping away – ‘it’s not me!’ They brought the horses in, they were all very well schooled.”

Kieran Alleyne diagnosed with heart condition

OHMYGOSSIP — Five After Midnight’s Kieran Alleyne has been diagnosed with a heart condition.
The ‘X Factor’ singer – who finished third on the show alongside his band mated last year – has been told he suffers with bradycardia, which causes a slow and irregular heartbeat, after he underwent a series of tests and scans yesterday (29.12.17).
A source told The Sun Online: “He is suffering from migraine attacks, and found that he has an irregular heartbeat and bradycardia – he needs to take it easy for the time being and the hospital will continue to monitor his heart.”
People who suffer with bradycardia sufferers can usually lead healthy lives – as long as they listen to their body and have adequate rest – but in more severe cases when not enough blood is pumped to the heart, the condition can lead to heart attacks.
But the source added: “He’s comfortable and being looked after.”
Kieran worried fans yesterday afternoon when he said he’d spent the past 14 hours in hospital having scans on his heart but he refused to divulge what was wrong.
He tweeted: “So I spent 14 hours in hospital last night have scans on my heart shattered is not even the word…”
Meanwhile, it’s been a busy year for Kieran as just a few months ago he became a father to a little boy called Jaxon when his ex-girlfriend Sophie Johnson gave birth.
He wrote at the time: “Well damn… I’m a dad” and added a surprised face emoji.
Kieran and Sophie ended their 16-month relationship in March but he vowed that he would still be there for her and their baby.
He shared: “No matter what our relationship status may be, I still consider Sophie to be my best friend. I know she will be the most amazing mother to our son. I’m looking forward to us starting a new chapter together as great friends and committed parents to our baby boy.
“We are both incredibly excited to welcome him into the world together.”

Ruth Langsford congratulates ‘darling husband’ Eamonn Holmes

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Langsford has congratulated her “darling” husband Eamonn Holmes after he was awarded an OBE.
The veteran broadcaster – who was born in Belfast – was recognised by Queen Elizabeth in her New Year Honours list for his services to broadcasting.
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star Ruth tweeted: “SO proud of my husband @EamonnHolmes All his years of broadcasting rewarded with an OBE!!! Congratulations darling x (sic).”
And Eamonn, 58, revealed his wife was even happier about the honour than he was.
He said: “Ruth was even more thrilled than I was. I think she just thought it was very well deserved.
“It’s recognition of a body of work. There would be very few broadcasters that have the body of work that I have had.
“To be on TV at 19 and host a general election at 23, it’s unparalleled and unprecedented without anybody giving you a hand up. I did it on my own merits and worked very hard. The secret is reinvention.”
However, he admitted he was already trying to decide who to bring with him to the ceremony.
He said: “No celebrating until you make sure it’s going to happen! The big dilemma is who to bring. My daughter is a big royalist, she loves everything to do with the royal family so she’s booked her place.
“Ruth would stand aside to allow our 15-year-old son (to go), he would be very proud. We have that dilemma so three tickets would be perfect.”
Eamonn moved to the BBC in 1986 but cemented his place on breakfast TV when he moved to ITV in the 1990s, where he worked on GMTV from 1993 until 2005.
He later moved to Sky, where he presented Sky News’ Sunrise, which he juggled for 10 years alongside a weekly Friday morning slot on ‘This Morning’ on ITV with Ruth.
Eamonn quit his role on Sky in 2016.

Timothée Chalamet happy with ‘unlikeable’ roles

OHMYGOSSIP — Timothée Chalamet will play an “unlikeable” role to work with a director he respects.
The ”Interstellar’ actor is “grateful” for all the opportunities that have come his way and he revealed his main factor when it comes to selecting a project is who is helming things behind the camera.
He said: “I am so grateful for all the opportunities I have done and will do. It is the director who draws me to the project. It could be challenging or unlikable but if it’s a certain director, I will do the film. ”
Timothee can currently be seen in ‘Call Me By Your Name’ , in which he plays a young Italian man named Elio, who meets Oliver (Armie Hammer) after he visits the country to stay at his parents’ villa.
The pair then develop a passionate relationship, as they bond over their shared Jewish heritage and their sexuality.
And the 22-year-old actor had a fantastic time shooting the movie with Armie and director Luca Guadagnino.
He said: “It was fantastic. We were shooting for two-and-a-half months in Italy. Who would say no to that?
“I was salivating at the opportunity to work with Luca as well.”
Timothée recently admitted he was also excited to get the chance to work alongside Armie in the movie.
When asked what it was like to work with Armie, he said: “It was great, I grew up with ‘The Social Network’ and was great working with him and having the opportunity to star alongside him. I wanted to star in the movie when I was 17 and it happened when I was 20.”

Stephen King praises IT remake

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephen King has praised the remake of ‘IT’ as “the right movie at the right time”.
The 68-year-old writer penned the iconic novel in 1986 which was first adapted into a two-part miniseries in 1990, before being adapted for the big screen again earlier this year in a movie starring Bill Skarsgård as the murderous villain Pennywise the Clown.
And Stephen has praised the 2017 movie for playing on the “weird viral” craze involving scary clowns which rose to prominence last year, making the movie seem all the more terrifying.
He said: “I think one of the things that really happened was that 1990 miniseries. A whole generation of kids between the ages of eight and 14 were scared s***less by Tim Curry and when the new one came out it was a chance to revisit that particular experience in their childhood. Then there was this weird viral bulge in stories about creepy clowns. That was in the press all over the place. So it was a number of different things. It was the right movie at the right time.”
Stephen first saw the new movie in the form of a rough cut last year, and he insists he knew from the start that it would be a success.
He added to Entertainment Weekly: “I knew when I saw it a year ago in Florida in a rough cut that it was going to be a hit, but I don’t think anybody knew it was going to be, you know, like $700 million dollars worldwide. I had no idea of that, but it sold a lot of books, man. You know what they say: A rising tide lifts all boats.”
‘IT: Chapter 2’ is set to enter production in early 2018, and is slated to hit screens two years after the first chapter in September 2019.

Sir Ridley Scott: I’m too dangerous for a Star Wars movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Ridley Scott thinks he is “too dangerous” to helm a ‘Star Wars’ movie.
The 80-year-old filmmaker has directed a number of iconic movies during his career, including ‘Blade Runner’ and ‘Alien’, but while his films have become internationally acclaimed, Sir Ridley has never been approached to helm a ‘Star Wars’ movie because he likes to be in “control”.
Sir Ridley said: “I’m too dangerous for that. I think they [Disney/Lucasfilm] like to be in control, and I like to be in control myself.
“When you get a guy who’s done a low-budget movie and you suddenly give him $180 million, it makes no sense whatsoever. It’s f**king stupid.”
Sir Ridley also said that although he demands a heavy fee, he will always make a film “under budget and on time”.
He told Vulture: “You can get me for my fee, which is heavy, but I’ll be under budget and on time.
“This is where experience does matter, it’s as simple as that! It can make you dull as dishwater, but if you’re really experienced and you know what you’re doing, it’s f**king essential.
“Grow into it, little by little. Start low-budget, get a little bit bigger, maybe after $20 million, you can go to $80. But don’t suddenly go to $160.”
This year witnessed the release of the highly anticipated ‘Blade Runner’ sequel, ‘Blade Runner 2049’.
Sir Ridley was involved in producing the movie, but it was actually helmed by Denis Villeneuve.
And the British film director has claimed that the sequel – which starred Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford – wasn’t a success because it was “way too long”.
Sir Ridley said: “I have to be careful what I say. I have to be careful what I say. It was f**king way too long. F**k me! And most of that script’s mine.”

Denis Villeneuve wants Bond gig

OHMYGOSSIP — Denis Villeneuve would love to work on a Bond movie with Daniel Craig.
The ‘Blade Runner 2049’ filmmaker has already spoken with the blockbuster spy thriller franchise’s producer Barbara Broccoli about the possibility of helming a movie with the current 007, but says his work on ‘Dune’ would get in the way this time round.
He said: “Listen, I would love to do a Bond movie. I think Daniel Craig is a fantastic actor and I would like to, but several months ago I came into do ‘Dune’ and I engaged myself.
“I committed myself and I’m someone that doesn’t step back. I remember I committed to do ‘Enemy’, they came with ‘Prisoners’ I said, ‘I need to do Enemy first’, and I had to break to bend the schedule.
“I did the same with ‘Arrival’ and ‘Blade Runner’.
“I did Blade Runner, one of my conditions was that I would have time to do ‘Arrival’ first.
“Once I commit, I commit. When Legendary offered me to do ‘Dune’, on a silver plate? Which was like my dream project that I’m dreaming to do for 30 years?
“I said yes right away. I want to honour that.
It doesn’t mean the movie will happen, maybe in six months the movie will – and Bond is an old fantasy of mine, but I can’t be in two places at the same time.”
The 50-year-old director says he could look to getting involved with the movies after the next one, which is due to hit cinemas in November 2019, but by that time ‘Spectre’ star Daniel may not still be Bond.
He told ScreenCrush: “It’s a strange year because I would love to do a James Bond. I need to focus.
Maybe Bond 26.
“I would love to. I said to Barbara [Broccoli], I would love to work with you and with Daniel, but I’m engaged. [Laughs] I will love to do it, honestly. I’m a spoiled filmmaker right now.”

Sophie Turner’s ‘revolutionary’ X-Men movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner has claimed ‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’ will “revolutionise” the superhero genre.
The 21-year-old actress stars as the titular Phoenix and her alter ego Jean Grey in the upcoming Marvel comics movie – which is expected to be released in November 2018 – and has said that the feature is so different that it intends to kick-start a “whole new genre” of superhero movies.
She said: “We are revolutionising it. We wanted to create a whole new genre of superhero movie.”
‘Dark Phoenix’ is being directed by Simon Kinberg, and Sophie has praised the filmmaker for his work in redefining the ‘X-Men’ series, as she dubbed him “one of the best directors” she’s ever worked with.
She said: “Simon has been the brain behind ‘X-Men’ for years, and it’s really exciting to have what feels like one of our own rise up and take hold of the franchise, and direct it in the way that he sees it. I have to say he’s one of the best directors I’ve ever worked with. He’s so passionate and collaborative.”
The comic book ‘Dark Phoenix Saga’ is noted for being one of the most emotional ‘X-Men’ story lines of all time, with the story ending when Jean chooses to take her own life rather than risk unleashing her dark side once again, and Sophie has insisted the movies won’t brush over the “huge emotional scenes”.
Speaking to Empire magazine, she said: “I kept saying to Simon, ‘Oh good, that’s done. Now I only have, like seven huge emotional scenes to go.’ It was a real challenge.”
‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’ will be released late next year, and it was recently revealed by Olivia Munn – who plays Psylocke in the franchise – that the production could be split into a two-part epic.
She said: “I don’t know what I’m supposed to say. I’m supposed to be vague. That’s my answer. I’m horrible at that.
“It’s like a two parter, this movie. That’s more than I’ve said, in general. I don’t know why people have to be so secretive.”
