James Gunn confirms Guardians 3 for 2020

OHMYGOSSIP — James Gunn has confirmed ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ will drop in 2020.
The director took to Twitter to reveal the hotly-anticipated third movie in the franchise will be released in two years, which was expected to be the case, by responding to a fan’s question.
In response to a supporter who asked, “Is there going to be a guardians of the galaxy 3? (sic)”, Gunn wrote: “Coming in 2020”
It is thought the motion picture will be released in either May, August or November because Marvel Studios has three 2020 release dates ready for as-yet untitled films.
They have a slot on May 1, 2020, August 7, 2020 and November 6, 2020.
Gunn recently confirmed ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ will “kick-start” the new Phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following comments from Marvel boss Kevin Feige, who revealed the fourth ‘Avengers’ movie, slated for a 2019 release, will signal the end of the MCU’s Phase 3.
In response to a fan on Twitter, Gunn wrote: “Read Kevin Feige’s quotes & not the static around them. It’s the end of one long story & the beginning of another. And one of the films that will kickstart the new story will be #GotGVol3. (sic)”
‘Avengers: Infinity War’ will see the hero squad – Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Bettany), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) – join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy.
The two teams will have to work together to fight intergalactic warlord Thanos, with some help from newcomers Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and the screen debut of Captain Marvel (Brie Larson).

Helen George opted for C-section after working on Call the Midwife

OHMYGOSSIP — Helen George asked for a caesarean section because ‘Call the Midwife’ had put her off a natural birth.
The 33-year-old actress – who portrays Trixie Franklin in the drama series – gave birth to her daughter Wren, whom she has with her partner and co-star Jack Ashton, four months ago and she has admitted, although she’s not “too posh to push”, she’s relieved she had to deliver the little one via an operation.
She told The Radio Times magazine: “I haven’t spoken about this before… but I chose to have a C-section (caesarean). It coincided with the fact that I had to deliver her early, but even without that, I would have gone for an elective caesarean because of what I’d learnt on ‘Call the Midwife’.
“Working on ‘Call the Midwife’ means that lots of people tell you their horror stories about birth. I’m not against natural birth, I’m pro whatever you feel is right for you.
“Some people may not understand why I elected to have a C-section, but it was right for me at the time.
“It’s not because I’m ‘too posh to push’, it’s about what I think my body is capable of. I’m not good with pain… I faint when I stub my toe.
“Not that a C-section is the easy way out. It’s a major operation. I have a large scar on my stomach. You can’t exercise for a long time and you need help to pick up the baby.”
Wren was born earlier than expected after Helen was diagnosed with a liver condition called ICP (intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy) which can cause babies to be stillborn.
Meanwhile, the actress will be missing for part of forthcoming instalment of the period drama because producers have agreed to give her time off in order to focus on her little girl.
Creator Heidi Thomas said at a screening that “Helen was able to graciously retire – she just had a couple of episodes off”, but it’s not yet known how she’ll be written out.

Shane Richie is set to return to Benidorm

OHMYGOSSIP — Shane Richie is set to return to ‘Benidorm’.
The 53-year-old actor has agreed to reprise his role as cheeky entertainer Sammy Valentino – known for his range of flamboyant shirts and terracotta fake tan – for four episodes when the sitcom returns for its tenth series next month.
And Shane – who first joined the comedy in 2016 and made a brief return last year – isn’t the only famous set to grace the hotel complex abroad as comedy duo Hale and Pace are also set to join the new series as undercover detectives Dennis and Nigel.
The pair will be heavily involved with cross-dresser Les, who is played by Tim Healy.
The 65-year-old actor was written out of the show in 2016 when he was rushed to hospital with a life-threatening illness while filming the eighth instalment in Spain, but he’s set to return to the programme full-time this year after recovering from his illness.
It was rumoured that the tenth series would be the last to grace screens, but writer Derren Litten has told fans that it won’t come to an end unless they want it to.
Taking to his Twitter account earlier this week, he said: “As series 10 of Benidorm approaches (and it IS approaching!) many asking if this will be the last series. It’s basically up to YOU! If you think the show has run it course you don’t watch that’s the end. If you watch it, love it and make a noise about it we’ll keep going (sic)”
‘Benidorm’ will return to screens next month on ITV and, to mark the tenth anniversary, fans will also be treated to one-off special with ‘Benidorm: 10 Years on Holiday’.

Stephen Mulhern to miss first Britain’s Got Talent auditions due to illness

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephen Mulhern is set to miss the first ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ auditions due to an illness.
The 40-year-old presenter has been fronting the ITV2 spin-off show ‘Britain’s Got More Talent’ since 2007, and this year marks the first time he will not be on TV screens.
Taking to Twitter, Stephen wrote: “Morning! Absolutely gutted to be missing the first round of @BGT auditions this week in Blackpool!
“I am on doctor’s strict orders to rest my voice, after suffering a nasty bout of Laryngitis – first day off from the show in 11 years.
“Unbelievable! I will be on mute until London auditions on the 27th Jan, look forward to seeing you all then! (sic)”
The air date for ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ has not been revealed yet but the show will see the return of regular judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams.
Ant and Dec will be back to host the competition show and will bid for their 17th consecutive TV Presenter prize at the National Television Awards (NTAs) this year after being nominated for the accolade.
The presenting pair – who managed a record-breaking 16th win in the category last year – will face stiff competition from Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield and Bradley Walsh at the ceremony later this month, and could get their hands on four gongs in total on the night.
The duo’s show ‘Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’ is up for the newly-named Sir Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award – a nod to the late TV legend, who passed away in August 2017 aged 89 – alongside ‘The Graham Norton Show’, ‘Celebrity Juice’ and ‘All Round to Mrs. Brown’s’.
Ant and Dec could also taste success in two other categories for shows they present as ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ is up against ‘The Great British Bake Off’, ‘MasterChef’ and ‘Love Island’ for best Challenge Show, and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ has a nod in the Talent Show category.

‘Soap Queen’ Sharon Marshall is pregnant

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Soap Queen’ Sharon Marshall is pregnant.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter – who fronts the television segment on the brunch time show – has announced that she and her partner Paul Fletcher are expecting a baby.
The 46-year-old script writer broke down in tears as she shared the news with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield during today’s (16.01.18) soap segment.
After Phillip told her she looked “blossoming”, she said as she wept in a tissue: “I’m pregnant. I am probably going to say everything wrong. I am a little bit emotional.”
The presenter replied: “Who knew? Because we didn’t know!”
Sharon explained that she had let someone in on the secret “a long time ago.”
She said: “Well I told Dr Chris very early so he’s been keeping the secret. Myself and my partner Paul Fletcher, we’re 14 weeks along, and we let Dr Chris into the secret a long time ago because he’s the king of the corridor consultation.”
Sharon then started weeping again and added: “Why am I so hormonal?”
Holly – who has three children; Harry, eight, Belle, six, and Chester, three, with her husband Daniel Baldwin – assured her that the tears are normal for pregnant women.
She said: “Get used to this, it doesn’t stop, let me tell you!”
Sharon didn’t say whether she was planning to find out the sex of the baby but she confirmed that the little one is due in July – and she has decided she won’t be discussing babies during her soap segments from now on because of her emotions.
She added: “It’ll be about July. I deliberately took out anything relating to babies at all because I’ll cry and then I cry. The first thing I said this morning is: ‘Do not cry!’ ”
After announcing the news, Sharon took to her Twitter account to thank her fans for their kind messages and share a photograph of her three-month scan.
She wrote: “Thankyou so much for your lovely messages, Paul and I are beyond happy, (sic)” followed by a red heart emoji.

Helen George is temporarily written out of Call the Midwife

OHMYGOSSIP — Helen George has been temporarily written out of ‘Call the Midwife’.
The 33-year-old actress – who portrays Trixie Franklin in the drama series – will be missing for part of forthcoming instalment because producers have agreed to give her time off following the birth of her daughter Wren, whom she has with her partner and co-star Jack Ashton – who plays vicar Tom Hereward – in September last year.
Creator Heidi Thomas said at a screening that “Helen was able to graciously retire – she just had a couple of episodes off”, but it’s not yet known how she’ll be written out.
Helen previously admitted that her pregnancy was hard to cover up on screen and she had to shoot a lot of her scenes for the festive special sitting down or with huge capes draped over her burgeoning baby bump.
She said at the time: “It was difficult because it wasn’t a correct storyline for the character, it wasn’t right for Trixie to be pregnant.
“So we did our best to cover it up. You just see me walk across the screen with loads of cushions or I’m sat down a lot, or I’m wearing lots of capes. I’ve always found those birth scenes emotional. But I definitely felt more emotional about it this time.”
And, although people recognise her for playing loveable Trixie, the blonde beauty’s midwife – who helped her through the birth of Wren – didn’t know who she was.
Jack said: “We had a midwife and she was wonderful. They all were. We have nothing but praise for the NHS.
“But they didn’t know who we were until after. They said: ‘We didn’t know you were famous.’ But that was great. We were treated just like everybody else.”
The blonde star was forced to deliver Wren slightly earlier than expected due to health complications and the couple struggled to adapt to the sleepless nights at first.
Jack explained: “When Wren was so young, having no sleep changed my acting.
“It’s a lot easier to act less emotion when you haven’t slept for 48 hours. And the only tip about babies I learned by being on the show was don’t drop them!”

Vicky Pattison postpones wedding for ‘year or two’

OHMYGOSSIP — Vicky Pattison has postponed her wedding for “a year or two.”
The former ‘Geordie Shore’ star was planning to tie the knot with her beau John Noble in six months’ time after getting engaged last year, but the pair have agreed to put off the nuptials for the time being because Vicky doesn’t feel “ready to be a wife yet.”
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: “We are putting the wedding back a year or two. We’ve been so stressed building our dream house and I haven’t been able to dedicate enough time to the wedding as well. I don’t want to rush it and to be honest I don’t think I’m ready to be a wife yet. I’m loving being a fiancée. Being a fiancée is young and exciting. I’ve just come to terms with being 30.
“I’m not ready to come to terms with being married yet as well. I want to enjoy my engagement for a few years. I have my whole life to be a wife so I want to give being a fiancée some loving for a few years too.”
The pair – who rekindled their relationship last year after dating in their early 20s – have already celebrated their engagement with a lavish party with friends and family.
The 30-year-old beauty said recently: “We probably spent more on the engagement party than most people do on their actual wedding day!”
And, although they’ve agreed to put their wedding on the back burner for the time being, Vicky has made no secret of the fact she’d like to start a family with her beau.
She explained: “I always said I didn’t want children but being with John has totally changed my mind. We recently made the decision that children are part of our future. I’ve come to realise that life would be quite empty without them.”

Vicky Pattison: The gym boosts my mental wellbeing

OHMYGOSSIP — Vicky Pattison admits attending the gym helps to improve her mental health.
The 30-year-old TV star has revealed she exercises to maintain her enviable figure, but she also uses her time at the gym to boost her mental wellbeing.
She said: “For me, exercise is so much more than looking nice in a bikini. It’s my mental state.
“I can wake up in the morning and feel drained, overwhelmed, exhausted, scared for what the day can hold. But if I go to the gym and train, things that were overwhelming seem manageable. It puts me in the right frame of mind.”
Vicky is an avid social media user, regularly posting behind-the-scenes snaps of her celebrity lifestyle on Instagram.
But the brunette beauty feels frustrated by celebrities who edit their online pictures, believing it puts an unrealistic pressure on young women.
She told The Sun newspaper: “Unrealistic images of perfection for women on social media – that bothers me.
“Everyone does feel the pressure. Kim Kardashian doesn’t look like Kim Kardashian.”
Meanwhile, Vicky recently admitted she’s had a change of heart about having children.
The former ‘Geordie Shore’ star always vowed she didn’t want to be a mother, but her relationship with fiance John Noble and seeing her friends Ferne McCann – who gave birth to daughter Sunday in November – and Casey Bachelor, who is pregnant, made her think again.
She admitted: “I’m starting to feel slightly less against the idea of children. John’s friends are having kids, as well as Ferne and Casey.
“I have spoken openly in the past about never having children, but I think that was the stage of life I was at.
“Now I’m moving on and I think it’s reflective of how happy I am.”

The Apprentice’s Michaela Wain and Harrison Jones are dating

OHMYGOSSIP — The Apprentice’s Michaela Wain and Harrison Jones have started dating.
The businesswoman and property developer are reportedly in a “fully-fledged relationship” after they hit it off while shooting the reality TV show last summer.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “There was always a connection between them but they tried to resist their urges during filming. They’re now in a fully-fledged relationship and have been spending a lot of time together.
“Michaela was keen to publicly announce their romance but Harrison was more reserved about the idea. They are smitten with each other though. And other contestants from their series have been so happy to see they’ve made it official.”
But the couple aren’t just partners romantically as they have reportedly decided to go into a construction business together and now have their own joint company.
The last series of ‘The Apprentice’ was dominated by romances as James White and Jade English got close during filming – resulting in him splitting from Laura Chase.
Jade said at the time: “We were both competitive, into our fitness and I think we just had a genuine connection and felt that we could rely on each other in the house.
“We used to go outside and play bat and ball and stay up talking about how the world has no limits. It was inspiring to be around someone else who had as much ambition and vision in life as I do.
“The process means that you are away from your family and friends for a long period of time and you are not allowed to have any contact with the outside world.
“This means that the bonds you build up in the house are amplified as you are thrown together 24/7 and James and I became extremely close friends.
“After every task, we would return to the house and sit and chat about life, the Universe and everything. It’s amazing how raw and stripped back from everything you become when you’re away from everyday life.”
And Andrew Brady – who is currently in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house – was also rumoured to be enjoying a fling with with now-married candidate Anisa Topan.

Celebrity Big Brother rocked with double eviction

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ will lose two housemates in this week’s double eviction.
Dapper Laughs, Ann Widdecombe, John Barnes, Rachel Johnson and Andrew Brady were left open-mouthed in last night’s (15.01.18) episode when they were told that they would face elimination in Friday night’s (19.01.18) show as part of a huge twist.
But it wasn’t the housemates stunned by the news as Rylan Clark-Neal and his team of panellists on ‘Bit on the Side’ were equally confused by those put up for eviction.
Rylan admitted he was shocked that the men had chosen to put Dapper, Andrew and John up for eviction as they had become firm favourites in the abode.
While India Willoughby – who was the first to get the boot last week – said: “I’m surprised Daniel has been nominated as he’s really popular in the house. He’s really funny and extremely strong.
“I think we saw earlier on in the clip Rachel planting a little bomb with Daniel about Ann. For me its karma Rachel is up. I would like Rachel or Ann to leave.”
And guest panellist Michelle Heaton added: “I’m really shocked that Andrew and Daniel are up. I’m really confused about the nominations.”
Ashley James was given automatic immunity from this week’s eviction after she won a challenge when a group of rowdy four year olds invaded the infamous abode.
The youngsters wreaked havoc as they ran around the house while the contestants were told to keep them entertained – testing their mental strength, resilience and determination – and the star who did the best would receive immunity.
After pushing the contestants to their limits, the kids headed to the Diary Room and decided that Ashley was their favourite and would escape elimination this week.
Ashley: “I said to so many people that children wouldn’t like me. I haven’t had children in my life for 10 years. I don’t have any young people in my life.”

Aaron Chalmers to quit Geordie Shore?

OHMYGOSSIP — Aaron Chalmers looks set to quit ‘Geordie Shore’.
The 30-year-old reality TV star is expected to leave the MTV show behind after turning to mixed martial arts and racking up a hat-trick of victories in the sport’s BAMMA promotion.
A source told The Sun Online: “Nothing confirmed yet. MTV have not decided what show Aaron will be moving forward on.”
While Aaron – who joined ‘Geordie Shore’ in 2014 – looks set to land a new show on the channel, it could be alongside the show’s former stars Charlotte Crosby, Vicky Pattison and Gary ‘Gaz’ Beadle.
The ‘Geordie Shore’ veterans are said to be in talks, along with Scotty T and Aaron, about appearing in their own spin-off series.
A source told the publication: “There’s a massive interest in the show’s biggest names and their fans will be given amazing access into their lives with this new spin off series.
“Talks have started and filming dates are being banded around.”
Aaron’s main talking point on the series is likely to be his fighting career and channel bosses are said to be “excited” about the group’s future.
The source added: “Scotty and Aaron will have cameras following them and whatever they’re doing. With Aaron it’s more than likely to be his fighting career which has really taken off.
“Bosses are really excited and think this mini spin off series for all the original stars will really take off.
“It’s early days but everyone is on board and really excited about what the future holds for them at MTV.”
The series is also expected to delve more into Charlotte’s home life, Vicky’s relationship with fiance John Noble, and Gary’s journey into parenthood with his girlfriend Emma.
Gaz confirmed yesterday (15.01.18) he has become a father for the first time after the couple welcomed a little boy into the world.
The 29-year-old star uploaded a photograph of himself holding his son on Instagram and accompanied it with the caption: “WOW what a feeling no words can describe it meet our son he is perfect in every way and healthy weighing 6lbs 2 @emma_jane1392 is fine and did amazing… I am a dad can’t believe it… I cried I smiled I panicked but I will be there for him no matter what xxx (sic)”

Jacqueline Jossa was ‘desperate’ to shoot dramatic Queen Vic fall

OHMYGOSSIP — Jacqueline Jossa was “desperate” to shoot dramatic scenes where she fell off the Queen Vic roof.
The ‘EastEnders’ actress – who portrays Lauren Branning in the show – was forced to reveal to producers she was expecting her second child with husband Dan Osborne because she was concerned about the stunt, and though she was given the opportunity to opt out of the tricky scene, she still wanted to go ahead.
She said: “I kept it to myself as I was so early in my pregnancy, but when it came to the day we were due to film my fall from the pub roof, I confided in a couple of people.
“‘EastEnders’ were great and gave me the option of not continuing with the scenes as they were planned, but I was desperate to and also knew how safe it was.
“The stunt man reassured me I had nothing to worry about as I only had to step back a short distance and fall on to some foam and it was actually really good fun.”
And though Jacqueline – who also has two-year-old daughter Ella and is stepmother to Dan’s four-year-old son Teddy – wanted to keep the news quiet, her co-star Jo Joyner, who plays her on-screen mother Tanya, had guessed her happy news.
Jacqueline told OK! magazine: “I was trying to keep it a secret but Jo Joyner guessed while we were filming the Christmas Day episode.
“We were standing in the rain and she said, ‘It’s a good job no one is pregnant’ then looked straight at me and gave me a knowing look.
“I wasn’t planning on telling any of them but she caught me off guard and I ended up confessing.
“It was so nice to work with Jo again, it’s a shame she couldn’t have done more episodes but she had other filming commitments.”

Clive Owen joins Gemini Man

OHMYGOSSIP — Clive Owen has joined Will Smith’s ‘Gemini Man’.
The upcoming action thriller will see Smith play an ageing assassin who ends up getting involved in a fierce battle with his clone, who is 25 years younger than him with sharper skills.
Owen’s role hasn’t been revealed, though Variety report he could be the antagonist and Ang Lee is directing the Paramount movie, which has been in the pipeline since 1997.
Lee is reportedly aiming to find a second female lead soon and has met actors including Tatiana Maslany, Mary Elizabeth Winsted and Elizabeth Debicki.
The original project, set up by Disney, was pitched by Darren Lake, with Don Murphy producing and Tony Scott directing. But it was put on hold for many years to allow the visual effects technology to catch up with the film concept.
The script has been tweaked along the way, and the idea of having two different actors play the assassin and the clone was scrapped, with Smith taking on both roles as developments in filmmaking will enable him to play both different ages and fight against himself.
Jerry Bruckheimer, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger are producing, with Don Murphy and Chad Oman serving as executive producers.
The film is slated for release in October 2019 and after numerous delays, it appears the movie is coming together with Owen’s casting.
It is understood that Smith’s schedule will need to be worked as he is also is voicing The Genie in Disney’s live-action film ‘Aladdin’.
Plus he will be reprising his role as Deadshot in ‘Suicide Squad 2’ and is to reunite with Martin Lawrence for buddy cop sequel ‘Bad Boys 3’.

Chris Evans says Robert Downey Jr. is irreplaceable as Iron Man

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Evans thinks no one else could ever play Iron Man except for Robert Downey Jr.
Downey, 52, kick-started the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the 2008 movie ‘Iron Man’ and has since reprised his role in six films and is set to return in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers 4’.
However, like his co-star Evans – who portrays Captain America – both their contracts are coming to an end after the end of ‘Avengers 4’, but Evans has nothing but praise for Downey.
Speaking to Comicbook.com, Evans said: “It’s low-hanging fruit to say [Robert] Downey. He’s such a wonderful guy and is so talented, so experience, and so supportive. He’s always been in my corner and I’ve always felt supported by him. He really brings everybody in to the group and makes sure everyone feels welcome, especially on this last one. He really just opens his arms and it sounds so cheesy, but he makes it a family and none of this would happen without him. No matter what it feels like for me, I try to imagine what it feels like for him, because he really did start this. He really is so irreplaceable. Nobody can ever be Iron Man. It’s not a role like Superman or Batman that can kind of find different incarnations, no one can touch it.”

Glenn Close thinks The Wife is reflective on women’s issues

OHMYGOSSIP — Glenn Close thinks her latest role in ‘The Wife’ is reflective of women’s issues today.
The 70-year-old ‘Fatal Attraction’ actress stars alongside Jonathan Pryce in the new Bjorn Runge movie – which is based on the novel of the same name by Meg Wolitzer – and Close admitted she can understand the role of a women who has “suppressed her anger”.
Speaking to The I Paper, Close said: “When I first read the script, I thought women would be saying, ‘leave him’.
“And that’s the easy answer because that’s where we are right now, but this story begins in the 1950s, pre-feminism, pre-women’s movement when she is a girl in college, with no support to help her have the confidence in the voice she is developing, the confidence and self-belief in her talent.
“‘The Wife’ is the story of a woman who has suppressed her anger for many years, and I can understand that, I think that happens to a lot of women.
“All of a sudden she realises that she can’t do it anymore and have a viable life, but it’s a journey she has to make on her own. It’s not so easy to say, ‘I am leaving’.
“This is what ‘The Wife’ is about – what happens when a woman finds her voice.
“But to have women find their voices and power, as they are right now, can only be good for humanity and for men as well – can’t to?”
The film follows Joan Castleman (Close) who questions her life choices as she travels to Stockholm with her husband Joe (Pryce), where he is slated to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature.
Close – who has won and been nominated for multiple awards – admitted she is still “incredibly passionate” about her career.
She said: “I still feel incredibly passionate about my craft.
“What I value most is to find work that is fulfilling, challenging and that resonates – and that you spend your professional life hopefully with people who are worth leaving home for.”
