Barbara Broccoli hints Daniel Craig could stay on as Bond

OHMYGOSSIP — James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli has hinted that Daniel Craig could stay on as 007 after the release of ‘Bond 25’.
The 51-year-old actor was expected to make his fifth and final outing as the British spy in the highly-anticipated movie with him overtaking Sir Roger Moore’s record as the longest-serving Bond as Craig will have been in the role for 14 years when the film is released in April 2020.
Names in the frame to slip into his tuxedo once he departs the role include ‘Bodyguard’ star Richard Madden, Idris Elba, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ actor Tom Hiddleston and Tom Hardy.
However, Broccoli has now revealed that no decision has been made yet on Craig’s future and they will revisit it once the latest blockbuster is in the can.
In an interview on UK TV show ‘Lorraine’, she said: “He’s so much a part of the whole process, we’ll make a great movie and then see what happens.”
Meanwhile, Craig has been pondering the impact that portraying the action icon has had on his life and admits that being Bond has had a “profound effect” on his life.
He said: “It’s had a profound effect on my life, there’s no doubt. I mean I can’t quantify it but I’m sure it has, yeah, definitely.”
He jokingly added: “I don’t know for the better, but I’d like to think so!”
‘Bond 25’ – which is yet to get an official title – is currently being filmed in Jamaica and will feature scenes shot on the famous beach used in 1963’s ‘Dr No’ and 1973’s ‘Live and Let Die’.
The film will also be shot on location in London, Italy and Norway with other scenes created at Pinewood Studios in the UK.
Craig is joined in the movie by newcomers Rami Malek – who is the main villain – new Bond Girl Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch and Billy Magnussen.
Returning cast members include Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, Lea Seydoux and Ben Whishaw.
‘Bond 25’ will be released in the UK and internationally on April 3, 2020 and in the US on April 8.

Stacey Dooley joins The One Show

OHMYGOSSIP — Stacey Dooley will replace Alex Jones on ‘The One Show’.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ champion is one of several guest hosts set to fill in for the presenter while she’s away until later this year on maternity leave.
As well as broadcaster Stacey, the BBC has also lined up ‘The Voice’ host Emma Willis and former ‘Great British Bake Off’ star Mel Giedroyc to step in for stints on the show over the next few months.
Regarding the incoming hosts, Alex – who already has two-year-old son Ted with husband Charlie Thomson – said: “I know The One Show will be in very capable hands while I’m on maternity leave and good luck to all the guest presenters – I hope they have as much fun as I do on the show. “I’ll be back on the sofa in the autumn, but in the meantime, I plan on watching from my own sofa with little Teddy and the newest addition!”
The incoming trio of stars will also be joined by regular guest presenters Angela Scanlon, Angellica Bell and Michelle Ackerley.
While Angellica will kick things off for three weeks starting on Monday (29.04.19), Angela will take over from May 20 for a fortnight, and she will return for a week on June 17.
Emma will be on the hot seat for two weeks from June 3, with Mel rounding off the month for the week starting June 24.
Stacey’s week on the show will commence on July 29, and she’ll be following by Michelle from August 5.
The news comes as Alex, 42, had her last show alongside co-host Matt Baker on Thursday (25.04.19) as he won’t be presenting with her on Friday.
She said: “It does feel weird … It’s going to be odd, yes but it’ll be quick. I’ll be back in the autumn. Keep the seat warm.”

Richard Hammond announces new show Big

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Hammond “can appreciate the irony” of his new show ‘Big’.
The ‘Grand Tour’ star is stepping out on his own for his upcoming Discovery programme, which will take the 5ft6in star across the globe looking at the world’s largest machines and structures.
Following the announcement, he tweeted: “Yes, I can appreciate the irony in Richard Hammond’s Big!”
The show is set to explore the creation, maintenance and use of some huge superstructures, including a cargo ship the size of four football pitches, and the world’s longest railway tunnel.
Revealing the news of his solo project, Richard added: “It’s going to be massively fun and exciting. It’s going to be BIG!”
Richard and his co-stars Jeremy Clarkson and James May are all breaking away from their working relationship to try other projects.
While Jeremy has been in the hot seat for the revival of ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’, James recently confirmed details of his own Amazon Prime Original travel series ‘Our Man in Japan’.
He said: “Japan is the most amazing place I’ve ever visited. Everything about it is a surprise: a boiled sweet, a bullet train, an unexpected ancient temple, and the challenge of eating a single edamame bean with chopsticks.
“It’s a class A stimulant for all the senses, and an etiquette minefield for the unwary. I intend to immerse myself in it completely, in the pursuit of enlightenment and life balance. And I bet the noodles will be fantastic.”
Meanwhile, Amazon recently greenlit a fourth season of ‘The Grand Tour’, which will see James, 56, team up with Jeremy, 58, and Richard, 49, once again for a series which will focus on the travel elements of the show.

Jay McGuiness says ‘so much’ goes on between Strictly stars that’s kept secret

OHMYGOSSIP — Jay McGuiness claims “so much” goes on between ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestants the public don’t know about.
The Wanted member appeared on the show in 2015 and in revealed that although there’s often a romantic scandal that hits the papers, a “bunch of stuff” goes on between the celebrities which is never discovered and suggested that the ‘Strictly curse’ occurs as there’s a group of “really mad people in a close proximity”.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ he said: “It’s funny because during it you see the two sides. You see the papers and you see what people say and then you also see the show.
“My year was just like every other year. There’s two people with romantic scandals – and half of that is in the papers and half of it isn’t – and there’s a bunch of stuff that goes on, and you think ‘Wow I’m really surprised no one know about this’.
“No, really, so much goes on and it’s just like a bunch of really mad people in a close proximity that don’t normally hang out. You’ve got athletes and pop stars and newsreaders.”
The 28-year-old singer went on to explain that contestants tend to form romantic relationships as they’re so “up close and personal” and suggested that things can heat up between the celebrities after they “get on the champagne”.
He said: “I don’t think it’s anything to do with ‘Strictly’, [I] think there’s just an element of being up close and personal with people.
“I don’t know, after the second show people get on the champagne and the makeup women love a gossip. They’re the ones who are like ‘I think she likes you’. They stir it a lot, they have the best job on ‘Strictly.’ ”

Joanne Froggatt had x-ray after she punched wall in Liar

OHMYGOSSIP — Joanne Froggatt had to get an x-ray after she punched a wall on the set of ‘Liar’.
The 38-year-old actress plays Laura Neilson in the psychological thriller, which concluded its first series in October 2017 and was ITV’s highest rated new drama with 9.1 million viewers tuning into the final episode.
And now, Joanne has revealed that she had to take an hour long trip to her local A&E department after she punched her fist through a wall whilst filming the much-anticipated second season of the drama, and the star explained she feels “extremely lucky” to have the NHS.
She told The Times’ 2 Arts: “I was in and out in an hour. It’s not perfect – what system is? – but the people who work for the NHS are so dedicated. We’re extremely lucky to have it.”
Froggatt and co-star Andrew Earlham (Ioan Gruffudd) will both reprise their roles in the upcoming second series, which is set to explore who killed Andrew in the form of flashback sequences.
Meanwhile, the ‘Downton Abbey’ star also recalled when she suffered a near-fatal experience in a car crash aged 16, and admitted that her life “flashed” before her eyes “just like” people say.
She added: “If the car had rolled a little more, they said I would have been killed. I still have a little scar on my face.
“It was a weird experience as my life literally flashed before my eyes – just like they say. Time slowed down, and it felt like every moment of my life happened to me in one split second. Everything was very calm, and I thought, if this is it, I’m OK about it.”

Oti Mabuse says Darcey Bussell’s replacement on Strictly needs to be ‘angelic’

OHMYGOSSIP — Oti Mabuse says Darcey Bussell’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ replacement needs to be “angelic” like her.
The 28-year-old professional dancer said the 49-year-old retired ballerina – who has quit the BBC One Latin and ballroom show after judging for seven series – had a unique presence and whoever follows her in the panel will need to have the knowledge to back their position up.
Oti told the Evening Standard: “Darcey was so amazing. What she bought was this kind of angelic side of things. Whoever gets it has to show they know what they’re talking about.”
‘The Greatest Dancer’ captain is currently preparing for the London run of upcoming musical ‘Ain’t Misbehavin” which she choreographed herself and says she “shed a tear” when she saw her team perform so well after months of practice.
She said: “This is different because it’s not about ‘Strictly’ or ‘The Greatest Dancer’, it’s all about five people and I’m trying to get them not only to sing and not only to act but to dance.
“The first time I watched them I shed a tear. I couldn’t believe it came together after so many months of working on the choreography and rehearsals.”
‘Ain’t Misbehavin” is inspired by the golden age of jazz music in the 1920s and ’30s, and Oit admitted she wants to add some of these funky steps into her own ‘Strictly’ routines.
She added: “I’m always singing the ‘Aint Misbehavin’ music in ‘Strictly’ rehearsals so I hope so, it’s not up to me but I can only hope.”
Meanwhile, the stunner recently insisted she does not want to replace Darcey herself because she doesn’t want to give up being a performer on the programme.
She previously said: “I love coming to the rehearsals. I love being a part of the group, it’s a really special group to be a part of. There are no dancers like ‘Strictly’ dancers, how close we are. I think I would absolutely miss that and that part of it.”

Rebel Wilson’s family don’t find her funny

OHMYGOSSIP — Rebel Wilson’s family don’t think she’s funny.
The Australian actress may be best known for her work on comedies such as ‘Bridesmaids’ and ‘Pitch Perfect’ but she originally wanted to be known for dramatic work – until she started her career and realised she found it easy to make audiences laugh, much to the surprise of her loved ones.
She said: “I dreamed of becoming an actress like (Dame) Judi Dench – comedy was not something I aspired to at all.
“My family reckons I’m not funny and that they’re all funnier than me.
“I did a lot of serious academy study growing up and I was the kind of girl who was very sensible.
“But when I started doing theatre in Australia, a lot of times when I walked on stage, people in the audience would start to laugh and I was quite offended.
“And the more seriously I took myself when I played a part, the more the audience laughed.
“That’s when I saw I had something that could make people laugh and decided I would do comedy.”
But the 39-year-old star still adopts a “serious” approach to her light-hearted roles.
She added to Heat magazine: “Ever since, I’ve been trying to interpret my characters as seriously as possible and using that approach to generate humour.”
And the ‘Hustle’ star thinks her improvising skills have helped her build her characters.
She said: “I think improvising is ften a way of making your character and your character’s lines more real.
“When you’re in the middle of playing a scene, the real acting comes from being present and being in the moment.
“It’s impossible to recreate that feeling in any other way and improvising comes from that feeling you have when you’re in the middle of the scene and you’re reacting to the other actors. It’s the best feeling.”

Chris Hemsworth doesn’t know if he will play Thor again

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Hemsworth has no idea if he will ever play Thor again.
The 35-year-old actor stars as the Norse god of thunder in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and Chris admitted he doesn’t know if the movie is his last as Thor.
Speaking to Variety’s and iHeartMedia’s new film podcast ‘The Big Ticket’, he said: “There will come a day. Whether it’s now or in the future, I don’t know. … Who knows what the sort of future holds. I don’t know, there could be remakes, sequels, prequel — who knows?”
Chris first starred as the Marvel superhero in the 2011 movie ‘Thor’ and has gone on to portray him in seven movies in total, including ‘Endgame’ and called the role even more special than a “one in a lifetime” opportunity.
He said: “The people I met working on these films truly became family. It’s not even once in a career, or once in a lifetime, it’s sort of, I don’t know, once in however many careers that something like this [happens].
“This has been a very nostalgic kind of vibe to this press tour and all of us quite often kind of pausing going, ‘Wow, this will never happen again, not for us, and who knows if it will happen again in what generation.’
“I can keep talking about the kind of, how special it all is and the insanity of it but it’s, I don’t know, gratitude is something that I constantly feel about the whole experience.”
However, Chris recently admitted he will not miss Thor’s “uncomfortable” outfit.
He said: “The suit keeps changing it does and each time it’s not a comfortable suit either it’s the most heavy, awkwardly constructed piece of clothing you can imagine. Obviously there’s a familiarity stepping back into the character but what’s give me the most joy has been being able to recreate the character each time.
“And being able to show in particularly with ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ to kind of really totally shift the direction of where it was headed.”

The Mummy Diaries renewed for two more years

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Mummy Diaries’ has been renewed for two more years.
Sam and Billie Faiers’ reality TV show, which follows their lives since having children, has been such a hit with viewers that ITVBe has signed the siblings to a huge deal which will keep them on the air until 2021.
A source told MailOnline: “ITV have recommissioned ‘The Mummy Diaries’ until at least 2021 in a mega bucks deal for the girls.”
The upcoming final episode of the current series will air next week, showing Billie and her husband Greg Shepherd’s recent nuptials in the Maldives.
Sam’s experience as a first-time mum was first documented in 2014 with one-off series ‘Sam Faiers: The Baby Diaries’.
ITV then commissioned ‘The Mummy Diaries’ in 2016, which Billie appeared on as a guest before she joined the show permanently in 2017.
Speaking about the decision to add Billie permanently, a show source said at the time: “Sam will be joined by her sister Billie in the new series of the ‘Mummy Diaries’.
“There will be a Kardashians flavour to it this time – two sisters bringing up their broods and all the challenges and adventures they get up to together as a family.
“Billie has a great sense of humour and fans of ‘The Mummy Diaries’ saw her baby boy Arthur moments after being born and hilarious scenes of her trying to sleep train her daughter Nellie.
“Sam and Billie are extremely close and their onscreen chemistry is fantastic, the girls were only too happy to star together and make it more about the Faiers family as a whole.”
Billie and Greg have children Nellie and Arthur together, while Sam and her partner Paul Knightley are parents to Paul Jr and Rosie.

Katya Jones ‘demoted’ on Strictly?

OHMYGOSSIP — Katya Jones has been demoted on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 29-year-old dancer has reportedly been axed from the main ‘Strictly’ line-up and told that she will not be getting a celebrity partner this year, following her steamy kiss with Seann Walsh last year.
Instead, Katya – who is married to fellow dancer Neil Jones – has been offered a reduced role on the show.
A source told The Sun: “Katya’s gutted. She knows she’s being punished. [Show bosses have told her] accept a reduced role as a back-up or walk away.
“Katya knows she is being punished for her actions and the scandal she caused.
“She feels BBC bosses are saying she can’t be trusted to act professionally with a celebrity.
“It is frustrating as she has put so much time and effort into the new series.
“But producers were adamant. While they let her stay in the cast they can’t condone her behaviour or all the drama she caused. No one is bigger than the show.”
It has also been claimed that Katya’s husband Neil, 35, who has supported her throughout the cheating scandal, will be promoted and will be paired with a celebrity for the first time.
Meanwhile, Neil previously revealed he refused to let Katya’s kiss with Seann “get in the way of 10 very happy years”.
The pair have been married for six years and together for 10 and Neil said: “It was a shock. And we had to work it out between ourselves, to understand what had happened.
“But I wasn’t going to allow that one little thing to get in the way of 10 very happy years. People have said to me, ‘Why didn’t you feel this? Why didn’t you say that?’ For me, the initial reaction was to stay calm. I didn’t want to run around in a panic, because that’s not me.
“I’m private. I’m also quite positive. I wanted to speak to Katya – we had to sort it out privately.”

Tessa Thompson related to Little Woods character

OHMYGOSSIP — Tessa Thompson says ‘Little Woods’ would have helped her feel less “confused” if it had been released when she was younger.
The 35-year-old actress stars alongside Lily James in the Nia DaCosta-directed drama, and Thompson has revealed she relished the adventures of making the movie, which tells the story of two adopted sisters who work outside the law, because it drew from her own experiences of growing up with a half-sister who is white, and the challenges they faced when she attended public school.
She told Collider: “It is also my experience. My half sister, who I grew up and who has my heart, is white, and I’m me. We grew up in an experience where people were like, ‘You’re what?! How do you relate to each other?’ To see that on screen and normalised was huge for me.
“If I had seen depictions like that when I was little, it would have probably helped me navigate all of the confusion that I felt around being at public schools and being one of the only brown people in that space, and looking across at my sister and feeling alienated because we didn’t look alike. There were just so many things about this project that meant a lot to me.”
And Thompson thought working with the ‘Cinderella’ star was the “perfect” partnership because James was “hungry” to work and was “excited” to be in a team of women on and off camera.
She added: “We had very little money, and the movie was ambitious. Someone that fits the role is one thing, and then it’s about who’s gonna come and play ball, who’s gonna be up for moments of relative chaos, and who’s gonna be up for long days. It was so fantastic because Lily was so game and so hungry for that type of experience that was just different.
“For her, getting to make a film with a young woman who’s a writer/director, and for the most part, all of our producers were women, and there were so many women to get to work with, who were contemporaries, was exciting. And then, getting to work on something that’s so different than what she had done previously was just a joy. It felt perfect. It became pretty clear, early on, ’cause she went straight into these really intense rehearsals on a couch, really excavating and going into these scenes.”

Chloe Grace Moretz to star in Tom and Jerry movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloe Grace Moretz is set to star in the ‘Tom and Jerry’ movie.
The 22-year-old actress has joined the cast of the live-action / animated hybrid movie from Warner Bros. and is set to play Kayla, a new employee at a posh hotel, according to Collider.
After Jerry sets up home in the hotel, Kayla hires Tom, who is a struggling alley cat, to get rid of him but the pair soon work together to get rid of Kayla’s evil boss.
Tim Story (Shaft) will direct and produce the movie.
Meanwhile, Chloe recently revealed that she decided to become an actor after watching ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’.
The star revealed that although she had always enjoyed “jumping into character”, after seeing the classic 1961 drama starring Audrey Hepburn she began to “laugh and cry simultaneously” which inspired her to evoke those emotions into other people.
She said: “I think what really hit me is when I always loved evoking emotion into myself and jumping into these characters I think and wearing their skin for a little bit.
“But I think what really hit me is when I think I was seven years old or eight years old, maybe even nine years old, and I watch ‘Breakfast At Tiffany’s’ and I remember laughing and then simultaneously starting to cry. And I remember that emotion I felt and the change in emotion I felt and how it taught me something about myself that I could laugh and then cry in that way. And I remember that I wanted to evoke that emotion in other people and I wanted to be able to be a catalyst for people to find a deeper part of themselves to open up.”

Lily Colins ‘couldn’t prouder’ of co-star Zac Efron

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily Collins “couldn’t be prouder” of Zac Efron for his performance in ‘Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile’.
The 30-year-old actress stars opposite the former ‘High School Musical’ actor in the biopic of Ted Bundy and she thinks her friend has done a “wonderful” job in playing the serial killer, particularly because it was such a departure from his previous roles.
She said: “It was wonderful. This is a really exciting role for him.
“People get to see a side of him that he hasn’t shown in other roles and I couldn’t be prouder to have witnessed him do that. We had a lot of fun as well.”
Lily feels grateful that she’s never had a problem switching off from her work, no matter how dark or challenging the role because she thinks that helps her stay “sane”.
She told OK! Magazine: “Luckily, I’ve not yet had the problem of taking things home with me.
“I like the idea of entering that work space, becoming that character and then leaving that behind at the end of the day.
“It helps me to compartmentalise more. I do everything I can to go back to ‘me’, like FaceTiming friends.
“I crave that separation. I think it helps me stay sane.”
When it comes to choosing a project, the ‘Les Miserables’ star wants something that will “challenge” her and that she’ll learn something from.
She said: “I choose characters that are going to teach me a lot about myself and challenge me.
“‘Les Miserables’ was definitely a challenge. It’s the most raw I’ve ever had to be.
“Physically and emotionally it was the most gruelling thing.
“But I thrive on that fear and I think it teaches me something.”

Kristen Stewart says J.T. Leroy is ‘complex’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristen Stewart thinks it’s easy to be “a little overwhelmed by the complexity” of her new movie ‘J.T. Leroy’.
The 29-year-old actress admits it’s difficult to really comprehend the struggles of Savannah Knoop, who pretended to be J.T., the made-up celebrated literary persona of her sister-in-law.
She reflected: “It’s a learning process.
“I think it’s easy to get a little overwhelmed by the complexity of it – of that question – and how unique it is to every person. But I think if you care about other people and you’re willing to just take a little bit of time and go ‘What do you want me to call you?'”
Kristen considers the movie’s complexities to be a “beautiful” thing.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “You may look like one thing to me and having grown up used to the idea that. OK you’re a boy, you’re a girl, cool. He, she, whatever. Maybe give it one more second and learn [more about] each other.
“That’s what I love about this movie, is it’s not presumptuous. In fact, it’s leaning so far into the vast depths of our complexities, which I think is really beautiful.”
Meanwhile, Kristen recently hailed the ‘Charlie’s Angels’ reboot, promising it will be “woke”.
The Hollywood star will play one-third of the spy trio alongside Ella Balisnka and Naomi Scott in the reboot of the famous franchise – helmed by Elizabeth Banks – and insisted that although the remake is “grounded”, the film is light-hearted and “still fun”.
She said: “At one point I think we said it was woke and grounded, and everyone was like, ‘Wait, is it still fun?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah dude, obviously, it’s ‘Charlie’s Angels’.”

The 35-year-old actor was excited to team up with the 35-year-old actress on ‘Men In Black: International’ again after previously working on ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ together.
Asked if it was easy to say yes to working with Tessa again, he said: “Absolutely. Yes. It was early conversations of ‘Who’s the girl? What are we doing?’ She was at the top of the list and I said, Fantastic, we’ll pick where we left off and letting both of us do something different than the dynamic in that film, the difference in chemistry. I think the script dictated that but also we achieved that. So it’s been a lot of fun. A lot of the time when you work with a co-star you spend sometimes the first half of the shoot getting to know each other and so to not have to do that is always a huge relief.”
Chris also opened up about the dynamic between the pair’s characters in the ‘Men In Black’ movie and how they are “pitched pretty far apart” to begin with.
Speaking to Collider.com, he added: “We certainly want to have the characters pitched pretty far apart and be opposites so there’s a lot more fun to be had there of figuring out that conflict of how to traverse that relationship and trying to get on the same page and missing constantly. It’s a fun dynamic to play through in this part of the film. My character certainly does things his own way and is reckless in his approach. He certainly doesn’t take advice from others, he works alone usually, and then in this particular instance they’ve teamed up together outside of either of their first choice. I think she’d probably rather be saddled with someone a little more on book, but as I said it gives us somewhere to go and gives us a nice arc.”
