Caroline Flack splashes out £1k on luxury stay for pet dog

OHMYGOSSIP — Caroline Flack splashes out more than £1,000 on a luxury hotel and spa for her dog Ruby.
The ‘Love Island’ presenter – who kept her beloved French bulldog after splitting from former fiance Andrew Brady – regularly treats her pooch to luxurious stays at Little Lord Barkley in Headley, Surrey whenever she has to work away from home.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Ruby loves it there and Caroline is reassured with regular videos and updates.
“It will cost a lot to keep Ruby there during her Love Island stint so she hopes she can share responsibility with family. Plus she’ll be nipping back every week.”
The posh pet hotel – which costs £80-a-night – serves Evian drinking water and Harrods and Fortnum & Mason food all prepared by a chef.
And the swanky joint also lets guests have a 24-hour nanny if they upgrade for another £85 a night.
Caroline recently had some pampering done for herself, too.
The star had to have a one-hour bum massage after waking up with a “wonky pelvis”.
The 39-year-old TV presenter visited an osteopath after waking up with an “incredibly bad back”, and she was then diagnosed with a tilted pelvis and had to have the butt and back treatment to get back to normal.
Speaking on her Instagram stories, she said: “I woke up this morning with an incredibly bad back. I went to an osteopath really early and they said I have a wonky pelvis, which was quite a revelation for a Tuesday.
“I then went to a physio who massaged my bum cheek for an hour which was really nice.
“And then I had a really lovely masseuse to my house and massage my back.”
Caroline feared she wouldn’t be fit for work, but some “firm action and bum loving” meant she was totally fine.

Holly Willoughby lands role in new Bradley Walsh show

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby has landed a starring role in a new show hosted by Bradley Walsh.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter will appear on upcoming ITV programme ‘Bradley Walsh’s Late Night Guestlist’, and her husband, Dan Baldwin, will take on the role as executive producer.
Dan – who is managing director of Hungry Bear Media – said: “We are really excited to be teaming up with Brad again.
“After the huge success of ‘Breaking Dad’ on ITV, we are going to emulate that with this brilliant entertainment show.
“You will see Brad at his very best, entertaining huge A-list stars and the audience, both at home and in the studio.”
The upcoming one-off will see high-profile guests join the ‘Doctor Who’ actor alongside a studio audience.
Holly and Piers Morgan are confirmed to appear on the show along with Emma Bunton, who will be performing a duet with her husband and fellow singer Jade Jones.
Bradley said he is “excited” about chatting to the stars throwing in some “fantastic music” and “funny games” for even more entertainment.
He said: “I’m so excited to be filming this TV special.
“On my guestlist are going to be some big stars, with some fantastic music, funny games and at the heart of it, the great British public, who will hopefully get to win some truly amazing prizes.”
‘The Chase’ host has been in talks with ITV bosses about making a “tougher” second series of ‘Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad’.
TV executives are hoping to make another season of the travel documentary – which follows the 58-year-old actor and his 21-year-old son Barney on the road together across America – even more “extreme” and gruelling in a bid to trump the first series.
An insider previously said: “It’s got a great feel about it (the show) and they would love to see him take on even tougher and more extreme challenges in a new series.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to start shooting in 2020

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ will start shooting in 2020.
James Gunn will return to helm the third edition of the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise as soon as he’s completed directing DC’s ‘Suicide Squad’ follow-up, which is currently pulling together its cast.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, cameras will start rolling on ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ film months before ‘The Suicide Squad’ film’s August 2021 release date.
‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ was set to film this year, however, was delayed when Gunn was fired and then rehired by Disney following the unearthing of several controversial old Twitter posts in which Gunn made jokes about paedophilia, homosexuals and rape.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige previously said of filming: “I won’t say specifically [when Guardians 3 shooting will begin] but I will say we’re delaying when the film would have originally been. But thankfully [Gunn] is back and he’s doing it and all is right with the world.”
The upcoming film will see Chris Pratt return as lead hero Star-Lord as well as Drax (Dave Bautista), Mantis (Pom Klementieff) and Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel).
Feige, 45, isn’t the only person who’s pleased about the director’s return as Zoe Saldana – who plays Gamora in the sci-fi series – previously admitted she was “very proud” of Disney executives for bringing Gunn back.
She said: “I was very proud of Disney and all of the executives there. They’re sending a very strong message that, yes, accountability is important. It is a must.
“We’re not going to surrender that moving forward. But when the opportunity presents itself where it’s just the first step, redemption must be the second step.”

Jack P Shepherd jokes he’s appearing in Emmerdale

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack P. Shepherd told a fan he was appearing on ‘Emmerdale’ last night (01.05.19) after he was mistaken for a star of the ITV soap.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actor – who has portrayed cobbles favourite David Platt since 2000 – made a nod to the rival soap’s farming heritage by joking he was going to “feed a pig some bacon” on a “great episode” of the programme.
Jack took to Instagram Stories to post a screenshot of the conversation, which began when the supporter asked: “Are you in Emmerdale tonight ? Haven’t seen u in it forever (sic)”
The ‘Corrie’ star replied: “Yes I’m on emmerdale tonight, it’s a great episode, I feed a pig some bacon (sic)”
Should Jack one day appear in ‘Emmerdale’ – which was previously called ‘Emmerdale Farm’ – he wouldn’t be the first star to swap the Manchester cobbles for the Yorkshire Dales.
Chris Bisson portrayed Vikram Desai in ‘Corrie’ from 1999 to 2002 and now appears in ‘Emmerdale’ as Jai Sharma, who he has played since 2009.
Bill Ward has followed a similar career path, initially playing Weatherfield’s Charlie Stubbs from 2003 to 2007, and then Emmerdale’s James Barton from 2013 to 2017 until the character was killed off.
Michelle Hardwick – the village’s vet Vanessa Woodfield – was in ‘Corrie’ in 1997 as Sheila Dixon and in 1998 as Naomi Russell.
And numerous characters have stepped foot on the cobbles after appearing in ‘Emmerdale’.
And Claire King, who recently returned to ‘Emmerdale’ to reprise her role as soap super-bitch Kim Tate, portrayed Erica Holroyd on the cobbles from 2014 to 2017, and Beverley Callard made her TV debut as Angie Richards in ‘Emmerdale’ in 1983, but is now known for playing Liz McDonald in ‘Coronation Street’ since 1989.

Martin Scorsese: Robert De Niro introduced me to Leonardo DiCaprio

OHMYGOSSIP — Martin Scorsese was introduced to Leonardo DiCaprio by Robert De Niro.
The iconic director – who has gone on to work with his ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ collaborator on five movies – was pointed towards the star after De Niro worked with him on 1993’s ‘Boy’s Life’.
Speaking at the Tribeca Film Festival over the weekend, Scorsese revealed: “[He told me] ‘There’s this kid, Leo DiCaprio. He’s really good. You’ve gotta work with him sometime.’ ”
The filmmaker would first act on the advice with 2002’s ‘Gangs of New York’, and the pair also worked together on ‘The Aviator’ (2004), ‘The Departed’ (2006), ‘Shutter Island’ (2010)’ and 2015 short film ‘The Audition’, which also featured De Niro.
Scorsese added: “It was extraordinary fortune, because he liked the kind of pictures we made. And he wanted to make movies like that, in a way.
“In other words, not being afraid of certain topics… and he was more concerned with the truth of a character, and of a situation. And he wasn’t afraid to go anywhere with this stuff.”
Meanwhile, Scorsese and De Niro – who have worked together nine times to date – are set to collaborate for a 10th project this year with Netflix movie ‘The Irishman’, which is a biographical crime drama looking at labor union leader and alleged Bufalino crime family hitman Frank Sheeran.
The pair teased that it is “in the milieu of the pictures we’ve done together”, and the director added: “But I think and I hope from a different vantage point.
“The years have gone by and we see things in a special way.”

Rylan Clark-Neal has ‘impostor syndrome’ after landing It Takes Two gig

OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark-Neal has “impostor syndrome” after landing the role of co-host on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ spin-off ‘It Takes Two’.
The former ‘Big Brother’s Bit On The Side’ can’t believe he’s joining Zoe Ball on the show when it returns later this year, and admitted he fears he’s not worthy enough for the job and that he was picked by mistake.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: “It’s full-on impostor syndrome.
“I was like ‘Are you sure they’ve rung the right person? They don’t think I’m someone else?’
“I genuinely thought I’d turn up for work and they’d be like ‘Hi Rylan, are you OK? Are you lost?'”
The 30-year-old presenter also admitted that there is “nothing better” than his critics realising he’s “actually all right” after “slating” him.
He said: “There’s nothing better than getting announced you’re doing a job, people slating you, then you do a job and having people go ‘he’s actually all right’.
“At the beginning it felt like a fight, but nowadays I actually expect it — and I sort of thrive on it a bit.”
The former ‘X Factor’ contestant also opened up about being bullied as a child for being gay.
He recalled: “I was probably about 13 or 14.
“I got pulled from a rope swing and some boy kicked me in the head and fractured my skull. It was a horrible time.”
Rylan – who is married to former police officer Dan Neal – credits being bullied for his thicker skin and being straight-talking and able to stand up for himself.
He added: “I just got to a point where I thought ‘f***k off’, if anyone said anything to me I’d give it to them straight back.”
Meanwhile, Ryan recently admitted he’s looking forward to bringing a lot of “mischief” to the BBC One celebrity dance show.
He said: “I can’t begin to explain how excited I am to be joining the Strictly family. I’ve always been a massive fan of ‘It Takes Two’ and to be working with the amazing Zoe Ball is a dream.
“I’m extremely honoured to be joining such a television institution and can’t wait to bring a lot of mischief to the Strictly bubble. I’m looking forward to getting started and seeing you all soon.”
DJ Zoe, 48, thinks Rylan is the perfect presenter to bring on board.
She gushed: “I adore Rylan, he’s an absolute wonder, I love his daftness and naughtiness and he’s a brilliant live telly host. He’ll fit right into our ‘It Takes Two’ family. Can’t wait for this new season to start, it’s going be a hoot!”
‘It Takes Two’ will return to TV on weeknights in the autumn.

Jennifer Lawrence almost missed out on Oscar-winning role

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lawrence almost missed out on her Oscar-winning role in ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ because she was “too young”.
The 28-year-old star won the 2012 Best Actress gong for her portrayal of Tiffany in the drama comedy, but the movie’s director David O Russell has revealed she nearly didn’t end up landing the job, as they felt she wasn’t old enough for the part and they also had other actresses higher up on their wish list.
The confession was made during a panel at the Tribeca Film Festival, where Jennifer, who was in her early 20s when the film was shot, responded: “What’s up with that?”
David then explained: “We thought you were too young, and there were other actresses in front of the line close to getting the role.”
To which she laughed: “Wow, okay!”
The filmmaker – who also joined by Robert De Niro, who along Jennifer worked on ‘Joy’ and ‘American Hustle’ as well as ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ – added: “Like a pass that covers 90 yards, you just changed the game.”
David also revealed that he’s working on a script for the ‘Hunger Games’ star.
He said: “I’m writing something for you now.”
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Jennifer is set to make her long-awaited return to the movie business when she stars as a war veteran in an as-yet-untitled film.
The award-winner – who decided to take a career break in 2017 – has joined forces with acclaimed theatre director Lila Neugebauer, and will play the role of a US solider who suffers a traumatic brain injury in Afghanistan.
Jennifer’s on-screen character struggles to recover from her injuries upon her return home.
The film is being produced by Oscar-winner Scott Rudin and Eli Bush, with production set to begin in June in New Orleans.

Faye Brookes would never get ‘bored’ of Coronation Street plot twists

OHMYGOSSIP — Faye Brookes doesn’t see how anyone could get “bored” working on ‘Coronation Street’ because there are so many plot twists and turns.
The 31-year-old actress’ alter-ego Kate Connor was left devastated when her on-screen fiancée Rana Habeeb (Bhavna Limbachia) tragically died in the factory roof collapse, and she particularly loves portraying her character because “anything could happen”.
She said: “It would be nice to see her happy, but I honestly don’t believe she’ll ever be the same again.
“She’s on edge and I don’t know where that could go. Anything could happen and I love that about my job – it keeps you on your toes.
“I don’t know how anybody could get bored here at ‘Corrie’. But I do hope she finds some sort of happiness.”
Kate and Rana’s growing romance led to the couple being dubbed “Kana” by soap super-fans, and Faye admits the social media reaction to the plot made the storyline “even more amazing”.
Speaking to TV Life magazine, she added: “We didn’t expect there to be a ‘Kana’ fandom and I think that’s what’s made it even more amazing.”
Faye recently admitted Rana’s passing was the “hardest thing” she has ever filmed.
She said: “Rana’s death was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to film and emotionally I ran myself into the ground with it.”
Shortly before Rana’s death was confirmed on-screen, Faye’s real-life fiance Gareth Gates accidentally confirmed the news on Twitter – and the actress admits she “felt terrible”.
He said: “It was a complete accident. We were out having some drinks when it aired and I lost track of time and thought it had already played out on screen. I felt terrible.”

Dani Dyer would love EastEnders ‘row’ with dad Danny Dyer

OHMYGOSSIP — Dani Dyer would love to beat up her dad as an ‘EastEnders’ villain.
The ‘Love Island’ star is keen to join her father Danny Dyer on the BBC One soap, but admits she would have to play one of his enemies because the pair “get on so well” at home.
Speaking on ‘All Round to Mrs Brown’s’, she said: “With that [‘EastEnders’] you really have to dedicate all your time to it.
“As we get on so well at home it would be nice to have it off with each other.”
Following the unfortunate turn of phrase, fellow guest Paddy McGuinness said: “It’s all gone a bit Jeremy Kyle.”
And Dani clarified she meant she would love to play a character who has “a row” with Danny’s alter-ego, pub landlord Mick Carter.
She said: “Yeah, this is very Jeremy Kyle. Let’s scrap that – it’s like having a row with each other.”
Dani recently split from her boyfriend Jack Fincham, who she won ‘Love Island’ with last summer, and after they shot to fame the star insisted she would not do another reality show.
In response to a fan on Twitter who pleaded with her to “do another programme”, she replied: “We won’t ever be doing another show again. Too many opinions and judgements. Keeping everything to ourselves from now on (sic)”
Last month, Dani did appear on documentary ‘Kilimanjaro: The Bigger Red Nose Climb’, which showed her and several other stars attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief.
Speaking on the show, she said: “Oh my god I’m petrified. I’ve never even climbed a climbing frame. Never. I’m scared of slides, I’m scared of everything … I’m really scared though. I’m just freaking out. I can’t get up there. I can’t do it. I’m just so scared. It was at a certain point on the rock when I honestly thought I’m gonna die. It’s a life or death experience.”

Susanna Reid ‘fine’ about love split

OHMYGOSSIP — Susanna Reid insists she and Steve Parish are still “very good friends”, despite ending their relationship.
The 48-year-old presenter has split from the Crystal Palace chairman after almost six months of dating but the pair still attended his team’s match against Everton at the weekend and the ‘Good Morning Britain’ host insisted there is no hard feelings between them.
Her ‘GMB’ co-host Piers Morgan asked her on the show: “Are you single again? You are aren’t you?”
Susanna replied: “Yep. Let’s not dwell. I’m fine, we’re fine, we’re very good friends. We were at the match on Saturday.”
And the brunette beauty went on to reassure her friend not to be too “devastated” about her break-up.
She quipped: “I know one of the things you’re most devastated with my split, is the fact you will no longer have access to the wine cellar.”
She presented Piers with three bottles of Crystal Palace wine to ” commemorate the epic occasion of Palace beating Arsenal”.
And Piers – whose team Arsenal lost to Leicester City on Sunday (28.04.19) – said: “Steve let’s make this clear, you’ve broken up with Susanna and not me. Your wine cellar remains a very important part of my life.”
The broadcaster admitted he thought it was “nice” the former couple had agreed to stay friends.
He said: “I think it’s nice that you guys went to the football… these things happen right.”
Susanna agreed: “They do. And we remain friends.”
It was previously claimed the couple had split because both Steve and Susanna – who has three children with former partner Dominic Cotton – were too busy for a relationship.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: “It’s very sad, but they just couldn’t make it work.
“They both work extremely hard and there wasn’t enough time for romance.
“They met through their mutual support for Palace and will stay good friends. They watched the match together on Saturday even though the romance was over.”

Marnie Simpson confirms pregnancy

OHMYGOSSIP — Marnie Simpson has confirmed she is pregnant.
The ‘Geordie Shore’ star didn’t think she would ever be able to have children because of all her years of “alcohol abuse” from drinking so much while filming the MTV reality show, but she is now expecting a child with boyfriend Casey Johnson.
She said: “Because I’d done ‘Geordie Shore’ I’d convinced myself that I couldn’t have kids because of all the alcohol abuse.”
Casey, 23, added: “I don’t think you’re ever ready until it happens, but we’re so excited. It feels amazing.”
Marnie, 27 – who is four months pregnant – has also opened up about having an abortion when she was 19, but “doesn’t regret” her decision.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she added: “When I look back I definitely feel I made the right decision. I don’t regret it. I was so young, I didn’t have a job, a driving licence, or any money.”
Last September, the couple visited a fertility clinic to check everything was in “working order”, admitting she was concerned her heavy drinking may have “done some damage”.
She said at the time: “We are thinking about starting a family soon and wanted to make sure we are both able to have kids.
“I’m just a bit worried all those years getting mortal on Geordie Shore may have done some damage.”
And earlier in 2018, Marnie admitted she was keen to wait until she was 27 to have a kid, and would love to have a son.
She said: “I think 27 would be a good age. I’ve always wanted a little boy – I think it’s because my family are all girls.”

Olivia Wilde wanted diverse cast for Booksmart

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Wilde wanted a diverse cast for her directorial debut ‘Booksmart’ so she didn’t hire from the “same pool” of actors.
The 35-year-old actress made the decision when casting for her high school comedy to “look beyond resumes” and select people on their raw talent and that led to her giving jobs to first-time actors Victoria Ruesga and Nico Haraga.
Wilde insists it wasn’t hard to get a “representative set” once she made that decision to hire people with limited experience.
Speaking at a screening of the movie at the Film Independent Forum, she said: “It turns out when you see all actors and you just hire the best people, you actually end up with a really representative set. The problem is most people don’t look at everyone. If we keep drawing from the same pool, it becomes this recycled pot of inspiration. There’s nothing new if you don’t take a step further.
“In order for casts to become more diverse and representative – the same goes for crew behind the camera – you have to look beyond resume. You have to hire people based on their talent, their skills, their ideas, their passion. If we keep hiring based on resume, we will just continue this paradigm and everything will be the same as it’s been. We have to break the mould, we have to change the way we hire people.”
Olivia can understand why many filmmakers would be a “little bit nervous” to hire performers making their movie debuts but she found it to be an “exciting challenge”.
She added: “Maybe you could be a little bit nervous to hire an actor who’s never been on a film set and has a pretty sizeable role, but I found that pretty exciting.”
Ruesga and Haraga are professional skaters and they will play the classmates of leading duo Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein, two Grade A students who come to the realisation that they have missed out on partying in favour of hitting the books and decide to embark on a wild night of antics the night before their graduation.
‘Booksmart’ was written by Emily Halpern, Sarah Haskins, Susanna Fogel and Katie Silberman and has been billed the female version of ‘American Pie’.
Wilde’s movie also stars former ‘Friends’ actress Lisa Kudrow, Billie Lourd – the daughter of late ‘Star Wars’ legend Carrie Fisher – and her fiancé Jason Sudeikis.
