Zack Morris buys sandwich to ‘cheese slap’ Tilly Keeper

OHMYGOSSIP — Zack Morris forked out £2.80 on a sandwich so he could “cheese slap” Tilly Keeper and Jasmine Armfield while they were asleep.
The sneaky ‘EastEnders’ star – who plays Keegan Baker on the BBC One soap – splashed out on the lunch item before removing the cheese and playfully whacking it upon his fellow Albert Square residents as they were catching 40 winks.
Tilly – who plays Louise Mitchell – wrote on Twitter: “i still actually cannot believe @_zack_morris paid £2.80 for a ham and cheese sandwich just so he could cheese slap me and @jasarmfield whilst we were napping (sic)”
Zack – who has been nominated for Best Actor at the upcoming British Soap Awards – admitted his sarnie purchase was well worth the expense.
He tweeted: “And it was worth every penny (sic)”
Tilly and Jasmine (Bex Fowler) may want to watch out the next time they are napping because their co-star Davood Ghadami (Kush Kazemi) has vowed to put some money towards a whole block of cheese.
He wrote: “Well worth the money. Next time I will chip in for a slab of cheese… (sic)”
Shona McGarty (Whitney Dean) was also in on the act and couldn’t stop laughing when Zack pounced on the unsuspecting pair.
She tweeted: “I’m sorry…. I am to blame too. But tbf, if was funny af. X love you both. X x. Xx. X x (sic)”
A cheese slap tends to see someone taking a piece of plastic cheese before wetting it and slapping it on someone’s face, usually when they are sleeping.

Emma Barton and Jamie Borthwick ‘struggled with injuries’ during London Marathon

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Barton and Jamie Borthwick were both “struggling with nasty knee injuries” during the London Marathon but “refused to stop”.
The ‘EastEnders’ pair were part of the team Barbara’s Revolutionaries, who took part in the event for their former co-star Dame Barbara Windsor – who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2014 – and the 41-year-old star says Jamie was her “rock” over the 26.2 miles.
Emma – who plays Honey Mitchell in the BBC One soap – wrote on Twitter: “I did it… 6hrs26 mins… thank you to all who supported us on the day.. you really do carry us along. To those who donated.. this is what it was all about! @DementiaRev Thank you Jamie, my rock! We laughed, cried, struggled! Both nasty knee injuries..refused to stop though! (sic)”
Jamie (Jay Brown) says Emma acted as his “absolute rock” throughout the marathon, and has thanked the crowds for their support.
He wrote: “Wow wow wow !!! What a feeling crossing that line! This woman @theemmabarton was my absolute rock today! We did the whole marathon together!! What a day! The crowds are unbelievable so thank you to everyone who came, cheered and supported! And congratulations to every single person who ran the marathon this year! Particularly #Barbara’srevolutuonaries #londonmarathon (sic)”
The pair’s co-star Natalie Cassidy (Sonia Fowler) also took part in the marathon as part of Barbara’s Revolutionaries, and her heart “nearly exploded” when she saw co-stars Maisie Smith (Tiffany Butcher), Clair Norris (Bernie Taylor), and Danny Walters (Keanu Taylor) on the sidelines.
She wrote: “what can I say to you guys? My heart nearly exploded when I saw you. You will never realise how much that helps you when running. Thank you SO much. (sic)”
Clair tweeted: “We love you”
Barbara’s Revolutionaries – which also featured Barbara’s husband Scott Mitchell, and ‘EastEnders’ stars Jake Wood (Max Branning), Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale) and Tanya Franks (Rainie Branning), among others – ran for Dementia Revolution, a year-long charity of the year campaign from Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer’s Research UK.
They have raised more than £140,000 for the two charities, with the total standing at more than £163,000 including Gift Aid.

Faye Brookes quits Coronation Street

OHMYGOSSIP — Faye Brookes has quit ‘Coronation Street’.
The 31-year-old actress will depart her role as Kate Connor, who she has played for four years, because she says the character “needs a break for a little while”, and the star is looking forward to “exploring new opportunities”.
She tweeted: “Thanks to everyone for your amazing support, but after 4 fabulous years in Weatherfield it’s time for me to explore new opportunities, I’ve loved playing Kate Connor, but she needs a break for a little while and so with a song in my heart I’m off to pastures new. (sic)”
Faye’s decision comes just two months after her on-screen fiancée Rana Habeeb, played by Bhavna Limbachia, was killed off in a tragic factory roof collapse storyline on her and Kate’s wedding day.
But just this week, Faye admitted she would never get “bored” of being on ‘Corrie’ because of all the constant plot twists.
She said: “It would be nice to see her happy, but I honestly don’t believe she’ll ever be the same again.
“She’s on edge and I don’t know where that could go. Anything could happen and I love that about my job – it keeps you on your toes.
“I don’t know how anybody could get bored here at ‘Corrie’. But I do hope she finds some sort of happiness.”
Following Rana’s death, Faye admitted the character’s final scenes were the “hardest thing” she has ever filmed.
She said: “Rana’s death was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to film and emotionally I ran myself into the ground with it.”
Shortly before Rana’s death was confirmed on screen, Faye’s real-life fiance Gareth Gates accidentally let slip that she was going to die.
He said afterwards: “It was a complete accident. We were out having some drinks when it aired and I lost track of time and thought it had already played out on screen. I felt terrible.”

Susanna Reid: Piers Morgan ‘goes too far’ on GMB

OHMYGOSSIP — Susanna Reid says Piers Morgan “goes too far” on ‘Good Morning Britain’ on a daily basis.
The 48-year-old TV presenter is seen by many as being the calm and patient co-host alongside “unbearable” Piers, and she admits working with the journalist can be tough because he breaks the rules on a daily basis.
She told the Series Linked Podcast: “He goes too far every single morning. Absolutely. I always say, ‘There’s a line there, and you are so way beyond it’. But that’s part of the drama of the program. People say to me, how far can he go before you actually snap? Well, we haven’t got there yet. Yet.
“He’d start a fight in an empty room in terms of opinions. He’s not backward about coming forward.”
Susanna reacted with horror when she heard Piers was joining ‘GMB’ – which celebrates its five-year anniversary this week with record ratings in the last month – but she now sees him as a “dynamic” part of the team.
Explaining how she received the news Piers was joining the line-up in 2015, Susanna said: “The very first time I was told I was going to be working with Piers Morgan, and the editor came into my dressing-room to break the news to me, and I said, ‘Are our microphones still on?’
“Because I think it would be better if you muted the microphones, so that the gallery and all the crew behind the scenes don’t hear my reaction.’
“But he is a brilliant, dynamic part of the team and he’s somebody who’s provocative and opinionated, he can’t stand it when anybody, particularly me, sits on the fence.
“He’s not neutral about anything, he doesn’t care if he offends people, he loves to wind people up. Which is not me at all, but I think that the balance works really well.
“If you had two people like that, I think it would be unbearable. So even though he has a go at me for, ‘Oh, you’re a bit of a snowflake, and you’re woke about this, and you’re sensitive about that, and you’re sitting on the fence’, I think actually you need someone just to level out that outrage.
“And so actually I think that professionally and on air the viewers love the partnership, and they clearly do, because as I say, more and more viewers are watching the programme.
“I remember that launch back in 2014, the critics were out to get us. And it just felt like we had to have nerves of steel to make sure that we ploughed on and produced the absolute best show we could. And we proved all the critics wrong, and five years later, happy anniversary to us, which is fantastic.”

Rochelle Humes’ sister ‘in Love Island talks’

OHMYGOSSIP — Rochelle Humes’ sister is said to be in talks to sign up to ‘Love Island’.
The TV presenter’s 20-year-old sibling Soph Piper is wanted by bosses of the ITV2 dating show, because they are hoping the star’s famous sister and brother-in-law Marvin Humes will help to boost the programme’s ratings.
An insider said: “ITV2 bosses are really keen for Soph to be the star of this year’s series.
“Last year they had Dani and her claim to fame with dad Danny captured viewers and boasted the show’s ratings.
“This year they’re hoping to do the same with Rochelle and her youngest sister, who’s the spitting image of her.”
Soph is said to be considering an offer to join the programme, which is set in Majorca, and is no stranger to Spanish land masses having done a season in Ibiza.
The insider added to The Sun Online: “Soph is the perfect islander – she’s incredibly beautiful and loves meeting new people after already doing a season in Ibiza.
“She’s currently deciding with her family if it’s the right move for her but it’s looking like a strong possibility.”
‘Love Island’ presenter Caroline Flack revealed last week that the ITV2 programme was due to begin shooting soon.
Speaking last week, she said: “What’s really exciting about this week is that we start filming for ‘Love Island’ 2019.
“And by the end of the week I’m going to have potentially have seen the cast for this year, which is really exciting.
“And mad that’s it’s come around this quick! So I’ll let you know what happens. It’s going to be a long, hot summer and all that.”
However, some believe the programme should be axed after former contestant Mike Thalassitis was found dead aged 26 last month.
Malin Andersson, who appeared in the 2016 series of the show, asked her Twitter followers: “Do you think Love Island should air this summer? (sic)”
She then wrote: “I reckon the bad outweighs the good (sic)”

Dan Osborne doesn’t know if he’ll stay married to Jacqueline Jossa

OHMYGOSSIP — Dan Osborne says there is “really bad tension” between him and wife Jacqueline Jossa.
The 27-year-old reality star doesn’t know whether he will stay married to the former ‘EastEnders’ actress – who he has daughters Ella, four, and 10-month-old Mia with – because the pair are “losing their friendship”.
When asked if rumours he has been unfaithful – which he says are not true – could end his marriage, he told new! magazine: “I don’t know what’s going on but there’s only so much anyone can take. It’s causing massive problems for us.
“Really bad tension in the house and it’s getting worse. We’re losing our friendship. We don’t argue in front of the kids, but I know they can pick up on it.
“So when I feel it’s getting too much, I’ll get out of the house and go to the gym or something. We used to be so positive and happy and fun together and we’ve lost that. But both of us want to build it back. ”
Dan insists he’s never been unfaithful to Jacqueline, 26, despite reports he has cheated on the soap star – but admitted he’s “had enough” and isn’t “scared” to end his marriage with the former ‘EastEnders’ actress.
He said: “Look no one’s perfect. I make mistakes, yes, so does Jac. But I have not done anything wrong.
“I’m not scared. It’s got to the point where I’ve had enough too. If there are problems in our marriage, then leave us to deal with it.”

Quentin Tarantino’s Star Trek movie still a ‘very big possibility’

OHMYGOSSIP — Quentin Tarantino says there is still “a very big possibility” that his ‘Star Trek’ movie is going to get made.
The 56-year-old filmmaker has explained that at the moment is focused on his upcoming Leonardo DiCaprio-starring feature ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’, but once that has wrapped, he’s going to get back in touch with the team behind the sci-fi film series.
Tarantino told SlashFilm: “It’s a very big possibility. I haven’t been dealing with those guys for a while cause I’ve been making my movie.
“But we’ve talked about a story and a script.
“The script has been written and when I emerge my head like Punxsutawney Phil, post-‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’, we’ll pick up talking about it again.”
Karl Urban – who plays Doctor McCoy in J.J. Abrams’ rebooted ‘Star Trek’ movies – previously teased that the ‘Hateful Eight’ helmer’s ideas for the film are “bananas”.
He shared: “Quentin Tarantino went in to [producer] J.J.’s offices and pitched him an idea for a ‘Star Trek’ movie. I know a little bit about what that is, and it’s bananas.”
But Karl admitted it would be a “dream come true” if he were given the opportunity to work with the legendary director.
He said: “He is currently making a film with Brad Pitt and and DiCaprio. So, it is going to be a year away from finishing that.
“So, it would be really rad to get to make a film with him. That would be a dream come true, he is definitely an auteur. Whether you like his films or not, he is a good filmmaker. And he makes interesting stuff. So, to me, that is when you get the best results.”
‘Once Upon a Time In Hollywood, which also stars Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie,’ is schedule for release in July 2019.
Speaking previously about the project, Tarantino – whose past hits include and ‘Django Unchained’ and ‘Pulp Fiction’ – shared: “It takes place during the 1969 Hollywood era at the height of the counterculture explosion, at the time of the hippie revolution.
“During the summer, little by little, block by block, we’ll be transforming Los Angeles in the psychedelic Hollywood of 1969.”

Robin Wright making directorial debut on Land

OHMYGOSSIP — Robin Wright is making her movie directorial debut on ‘Land’.
The 53-year-old actress is set to helm her first feature-length film after directing several episodes of the Netflix show ‘House of Cards’ – in which she plays First Lady-turned-President Claire Underwood, a role which has earned her a Gold Globe award.
Robin will also star in the movie which has been penned by Liz Hannah and Jesse Chatham and follows Edee (Wright), a lawyer who takes herself off the grid and travels to the most unpopulated area in the United States, living in a cabin in the Shoshone National Forest in Wyoming.
Using only advice from online survivalists she must learn to hunt fish and grow her food as she faces brutal winters, a challenging landscape and deadly local wildlife – after crossing paths with Joseph, a First Nations local, who is yet to be cast, Edee begins to deal with her problems and “surprise herself with her own will to survive”.
HanWay Films has picked up the international sales rights and will begin sales at Cannes festival while Cinetic Media and CAA will handle North American rights.
HanWay Films boss Gabrielle Stewart said in a statement: “Robin proved herself a tour de force taking in hand ‘House of Cards’ as a director as well as its lead actor.
“She speaks very eloquently and passionately about wanting to tell the story of a woman’s journey through loss and pain, where only by giving herself to nature can she find a path to inner peace and redemption. It is a unique cinematic experience of huge scale, yet speaks to our basic human need for more earthy simplicity in this busy noisy world.”

Suranne Jones hired sex guru for lesbian love scenes

OHMYGOSSIP — Suranne Jones hired a sex guru to teach her how to do lesbian love scenes.
The 40-year-old actress – who plays land owner Anne Lister in BBC One’s ‘Gentleman Jack’ – says show creator Sally Wainwright got intimacy co-ordinator Ita O’Brien on board to help them with saucy scenes.
Suranne told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I was quite nervous about the sex scenes we had to do, because I thought they should be approached as sensitively as they could be.
“One of the great things she brought was an articulacy – we could talk about the scenes.
“She just started talking about body parts and positions in a matter of fact way, which just liberated us all.
“As well as helping us sculpt the sex scenes, the positions, she’s also there to provide support to the artists.”
‘Gentleman Jack’ tells the story of Anne, who returns to Shibden Hall in West Yorkshire after a period of travel, study and social climbing.
Once back home, she engages in a quest to transform her house and business interests, as well as to find herself a wife.
Suranne stars in the upcoming BBC One show alongside Joe Armstrong, Jessica Baglow, Amelia Bullmore and Rosie Cavaliero.
And the former ‘Coronation Street’ actress said her and Ita explored the “different relationships” of womaniser Anne and wanted to tell her love stories poignantly.
She said: “We all discussed the different kind of relationships she had. It’s about a loving relationship that develops between the two of them. That’s how to tell a story rather than titillation.”
The movement director – who works for film, television and theatre and also teaches at acting schools – thinks sex scenes should be as “carefully” choreographed as fight segments.
Ita said: “Fight scenes in films are carefully choreographed and rehearsed. Sex scenes should be the same.”

Emma Bunton loves Kellie Bright’s EastEnders Baby Spice outfit

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Bunton thinks it is “brilliant” her former school friend Kellie Bright has filmed an ‘EastEnders’ episode dressed up as her.
The soap star’s alter-ego donned a pink dress to transform into the Spice Girls singer – who she attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School with – this week when she, Danny Dyer (Mick Carter), Linda Henry (Shirley Carter) and Luisa Bradshaw-White (Tina Carter) shot an ep while dressed as the girl group.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, Emma said: “The funny thing is, Kellie Bright, I went to school with her.
“She text me going, ‘Have you seen this?’ This is a day at work for me.
“Isn’t that brilliant. It’s so good.”
Mick wore a little black dress to impersonate Victoria Beckham, Luisa donned a Union Jack dress and ginger wig to be Geri Horner, and Linda wore leopard print leggings and a leather jacket to be Mel B.
The picture was shared on the ‘EastEnders’ Instagram, and the caption read: “People of Walford, Spice up your life! Every Mick, every Shirl, Spice up your life!
You’ll Wannabe there when this episode airs later in the year. #EastEnders #SpiceGirls (sic)”
The Spice Girls announced a comeback tour last year, and Kellie took to Twitter at the time to compliment her 43-year-old friend.
She tweeted: “My beautiful @EmmaBunton you look sooooooo hot!!! Hope I get to see you all in action next year (sic)”
Kellie – who also went to Sylvia Young with Luisa and ‘Bodyguard’ actress Keeley Hawes – previously revealed she turned to Emma for advice ahead of taking part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
She said: “I talked to Emma Bunton about taking part in ‘Strictly’.
“She’s a really good friend of mine and was in the ‘Strictly’ class of 2006, when she came third. Emma said it was amazing and one of the best things she’s ever done.
“There are lots of people at EastEnders who’ve also taken part and they all say how much they loved it. I’ve not heard one person say a bad thing about it.”

Denise Welch’s Celebrity Big Brother win felt ‘hollow’

OHMYGOSSIP — Denise Welch’s ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ win felt “hollow” because of her mental health struggles.
The ‘Loose Women’ star won the celebrity version of the reality programme in 2012 but although she triumphed in the show, she now admits it was “the wrong time” to go on the show.
She said: “It was the wrong time for me to go in there. I won it, and thank you to those who voted, for me but it was a hollow, hollow victory, as it was a really horrible time for me.
“My post natal depression illness was very severe. From the start, those around me never considered this to be anything other than a serious illness. If I hadn’t had that support, I can honestly say I don’t know what the outcome would have been.”
And Denise is glad she is not “self-medicating” now and likes her new “boring” life.
Speaking on Dr Christian’s Second Opinion podcast, she added: “Staying sane means that I now do everything I can to not make my own situation worse, which is what I was doing by self-medicating. It’s not something we miss any more. We are very happy being boring. Boring is the new black.”
Denise previously admitted she barely recognises who she was before she quit drinking.
Last month, to mark seven years of sobriety, the 60-year-old presenter wrote on social media: “Today marks 7 yrs since I had my last drink. I hardly recognise the woman I was but I feel for her. Giving up saved my life (sic)”]
And in 2018, Denise revealed she made the decision to stop drinking after being shown a video of her actions by husband Lincoln Townley, who made her realise she needed to address her problems.
She said: “I’d smashed the flat up, and he picked me up from the theatre that night, spoke to me all the way, told me that he loved me … I had complete blackouts. Door was off its hinges, I’d smashed the lamp. I had no recollection.”

Rihanna’s backing dancer part of new Channel 4 street dance documentary series

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna’s backing dancer and Dua Lipa’s choreographer have joined forces for a new Channel 4 documentary series about street dance.
The new three-part show, ‘Dance Around The World’, will see Kym Jay and Suzette Brissett respectively head to New York, Brazil and South Africa to discover the history and culture behind the dance style.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “Dance shows are big business, with thousands upon thousands tuning into ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and ‘Dancing On Ice’.
“Everyone loves watching their favourite dance style come to life, but very little is revealed about the dances they perform.
“This new show brings viewers a fun and interesting look at the history, culture and people behind these traditional dances from far-flung destinations across the world, which these glossy talent shows have made famous.”
The channel certainly seems to be keen to rival shows like ‘Strictly’ and ‘Dancing on Ice’, as it was recently confirmed that ‘Flirty Dancing’ has been recommissioned.
Ashley Banjo will return to host the hit show, which sees two disillusioned daters taught two halves of the same bespoke dance before being brought together to perform the routine and see whether they have chemistry.
The programme will air at an earlier time slot of 8pm for six hour-long episodes as well as a one-hour Stand Up To Cancer celebrity special, and the 30-year-old dancer can’t wait to “help create some romance” for all the new contestants.
He said in a statement: “I loved working with our singles last year, creating something special for each of them and watching the sparks fly.
“For me the show provides an incredibly unique experience for people to meet through dance, and it is so rewarding (as well as nerve-racking!) to watch it all play out. I can’t wait to help create some romance for all our new hopeful daters.”
Sarah Lazenby, head of features and formats at Channel 4, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing the joy of ‘Flirty Dancing’ back to Channel 4, at an earlier time slot so that all the family can enjoy the timeless romance it evokes.
“Curated, once again, by the warm-hearted giant Ashley Banjo, we hope this series will create some more rom-com magic for the small screen.”
Second Star’s chief creative officer Deborah Sargeant added: “We are incredibly proud of this format – and of the production team who work so passionately to produce it – so we were thrilled that the first series was so warmly received. We can’t wait to get more couples dancing in the street this summer. ”

EastEnders to hold first Pride parade

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ is to hold its first Pride parade.
Kate Oates, the BBC’s head of continuing drama, is said to be keen to give a nod to the real-life London-based event – which celebrates LGBTQ achievements and will take place in the first week of July – and sees it as a “natural fit” on the east London-set soap.
A show source said: “It’s going to be a huge event on the square filled with joy.
“Kate thought that with Walford’s London identity it was a natural fit to tie in the two.”
However, EastEnders’ Pride parade will also feature “plenty of drama” in true soap style.
The source added to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “But, as with any event on Albert Square, there is certain to be plenty of drama happening alongside the celebration.”
A spokesman for Stonewall – the lesbian, gay, bi and trans rights charity – told the publication: “It’s been more than 30 years since ‘EastEnders’ featured the UK’s first on-screen same-sex kiss. So it’s great to hear Walford will be celebrating Pride.”
This comes just months after Kate announced plans to introduce more LGBTQ characters to Walford in the coming year, and they will also have a “super-cool precinct” to hang out in.
She said: “I’m really interested in bringing some more LGBTQ characters in. Maybe we’ll have a new precinct for them as well?
“We’re looking at opening a new gay bar on the Square. It will be a super cool precinct where gay and straight characters can all just hang out and loads of stories can cross. It will be something really exciting, really fun and visual.
“It should be something really exciting, really fun, really visual and feel really true to multi-cultural London.”

Megan Barton Hanson steals hamster

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan Barton Hanson has stolen another hamster – and lost it.
The ‘Love Island’ star – who was previously accused of kidnapping Jon Snow, the pet she shared with ex-boyfriend Wes Nelson – had a drunken night out with Charlie Brake and was horrified to come across the creature in a “small” cage, so decided to take it home to share with her own rodent.
She revealed on her Instagram Story: “So basically met Charlie last night for a few drinks but it didn’t end very civilised.
“Charlie was chundering everywhere, and we went back to his cousins.
“His cousin had a hamster, and I didn’t like the fact its cage was a little bit small for my liking when I was drunk. So I thought I would take it.”
However, the 24-year-old beauty admitted her plan didn’t quite go to plan.
She continued: “I didn’t like the fact her cage wasn’t big enough so I stole her in her ball and now she’s gone.”
Megan admitted her ‘Love Island’ co-star isn’t very happy with her.
She said: “Charlie is absolutely screwing.
“I’m sorry Charlie’s cousin, it wasn’t my place to steal her but we will find her.”
The blonde star’s mother then appeared in the clip clutching a bag of hamster snacks in a bid to lure out the creature.
Megan said: “We’re just going to tempt her out with a few treats, I’m such an idiot.”
It was previously claimed Megan had kidnapped Jon Snow despite having a custody agreement with ‘Dancing On Ice’ star Wes.
A source previously said: “Wes knew something was wrong the moment he came home from a day on the ice and couldn’t hear the squeak-squeak of Jon Snow’s wheel.
“It turned out Megan had swiped the hamster and the cage and hit the road – days after asking for privacy for the hamster and promising they would be co-parenting the pet.
“Wes was shocked she’d just taken Jon Snow without saying anything after everything she promised.”

Martin Compston to star in new crime drama

OHMYGOSSIP — Martin Compston has signed up to star in a new crime drama.
The ‘Line of Duty’ actor will be joined by Molly Windsor, Laura Fraser and Jennifer Spence in ‘Traces’, Alibi’s first UKTV original series, while Laurie Brett, Vincent Regan, Michael Nardone and John Gordan Sinclair will also have roles in the series.
‘Traces’ is set in Dundee in the Scottish Institute of Forensic Science and Anatomy (SIFA) and follows lab assistant Emma Hedges (Windsor), Prof. Sarah Gordon (Fraser) and Prof. Kathy Torrance (Spence) who join together to attempt to uncover the truth behind an unsolved murder case.
Emma enrols in an MOOC – Massive Open Online Course – to learn the principles of forensic science and quickly realises a fictitious case study has a shocking link to her past, prompting her to start her own investigation. As she unravels more and more secrets, she struggles to figure out who she can trust but the two professors help her in her attempts to bring down a killer.
Alongside Emma’s main story, other cases and different disciplines of forensic science will also be highlighted.
The thriller is based on an original idea from crime writer Val McDermid and has been written by ‘Scott & Bailey’ scribe Amelia Bullmore and produced by
RED Production Company, the team behind ‘Safe’, ‘Happy Valley’ and ‘Butterfly’.
‘Traces’ features an all-female production team and will be directed by Rebecca Gatward and Mary Nighy.
The six-part series will air on Alibi later this year.
Martin will no doubt be relieved that the show is set in his native Scotland as he recently admitted he has trouble mastering other accents.
He said: “I’m not [very good at accents] … but that makes me work my a**e off to do them.”
And he always knows when he has “nailed” an accent because he wakes up talking in his well-practised voice, and even sometimes dreams about it.
He added: “I’ve always had a good work ethic. I get so over-prepared so I’ve got no excuses on the day. You know you’ve nailed it when you wake up in the morning and you’re talking to yourself in the accent.
“Your mind just goes to it. You have dreams in it, for sure, because you’re doing it that much.”

Jennifer Garner to star in musical Fantasy Camp

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Garner is set to star in musical ‘Fantasy Camp’.
The 47-year-old actress has joined STXfilms’ upcoming comedy which follows Julie (Garner) as she attends a reunion of Camp Footlights, her childhood theatre camp, where she gets chance to challenge her fears and finally take the stage.
The film will be penned and directed by Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, the duo responsible for the 2018 comedy starring Amy Schumer, ‘I Feel Pretty’.
The pair are re-writing a screenplay penned by Sid Karger and Kristen Bell was reportedly attached to star in the picture at one point.
Greg Silverman and Adam Kolbrenner of Lit Entertainment Group will produce the film which represents the latest A-list female-fronted project for STX.
The ’13 Going On 30′ star is reuniting with STX films following the 2018 thriller ‘Peppermint’ helmed by Pierre Morel which follows Jennifer as Riley North – a mother who awakens from a coma after surviving a brutal attack that killed her husband and daughter.
When the system shields the murderers from justice Riley spends years in hiding and sets out to transform herself from citizen to killer before embarking on a deadly quest to deliver her “own personal brand of punishment.”
The film- also starring Tyson Ritter and Juan Pablo Raba – pulled in 52.7 million at the international box office and Morel previously insisted the film’s script offered both action and emotion.
