OHMYGOSSIP — Dev Griffin has reportedly signed up for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The BBC Radio 1 DJ – who hosts the station’s weekend afternoon show – is said to be wanted on the programme, and it is hoped he can help bring in some younger viewers to the Latin and ballroom show when it returns in September.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: “BBC bosses like going for a youthful radio audience, like they did with Vick Hope.
“No one had really heard of her before ‘Strictly’ last year and they seemed to warm to her. They’re hoping Dev’s personality will make him a household name.”
Dev has been on the Radio 1 team for the past decade, and he previously appeared on sister station 1Xtra since 2002.
He’s no stranger to reality TV either, having taking part in Channel 4’s intense endurance show ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’ earlier this year.
While he quit after breaking down in tears over his interrogation during a challenge, he was more successful in 2017 as part of ‘Celerity MasterChef’ when he reached the final before losing out to Angellica Bell.
It was recently reported that McFly drummer Harry Judd – who won ‘Strictly’ in 2011 – is in talks to replace Dame Darcey Bussell on the judging panel.
A source previously said: “Strictly’ bosses are desperate to appeal to younger viewers, as they know that is the age group they need to build on.
“Last year that was behind the decision to sign up YouTuber Joe Sugg as a contestant. And Harry has millions of young fans thanks to McFly.
“He is popular, very charismatic and has experience of dancing both on Strictly and in the West End, after appearing in Rip it Up.
“They know that he would also hit the right note with older audiences as he is very much a family man, he is a dad with two children. Talks are ongoing at the moment, but as it stands, Harry is a firm favourite.”

OHMYGOSSIP — John McCririck has died aged 79.
The former Channel 4 racing pundit has passed away just nine months after revealing he was dying, after he had a chest infection and “a cold all the time”.
Roger Easterby, who was a close friend to John for more than 40 years, has led tributes.
He told the Racing Post newspaper: “John was often referred to as being like Marmite, but I believe people genuinely liked him.
“He was kind, generous and knew his subject inside out.”
In October, John claimed losing his TV career when he was axed by Channel 4 in 2012, after 28 years, had adversely affected his health, and he predicted he only had months to live.
He said: “What purpose is there in going on if you’re not working?
“Racing was my life but now when I go I think: ‘What am I doing here?’ I feel like a dinosaur. You’re a lost soul wandering around an environment you’re no longer part of.
“Life is empty. I don’t expect to be alive this time next year. It’s a question of slipping away.
“I’ve prepared the Booby [his wife, Jenny] for it. When I’m gone she knows exactly what to do and she’ll be fine.
“I’m pining. The broken heart is for a lost job. Work comes first. Put that in capital letters. I always worked. It’s the most important thing in life.
“I’ve had a chest infection and I seem to have a cold all the time but they [the doctors] can’t find anything. I wish they could. I’ve been examined, had blood tests — all that kind of thing. I’m sure it all started when I was sacked because you get more and more…
“I hope I’m not self-pitying because I don’t self-pity, but when you wake up in the morning you just feel miserable. There’s no routine. I have ‘Jeremy Kyle’, ‘This Morning’ and that’s about it.”
John – who had lost three stone due to a severe bout of flu last year – is survived by his wife Jenny, who he called The Booby.

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexa Lee thought she was “a bit too much” for James Nightingale and Parry Glasspool when she first met them.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ star, who plays Sadie Cressington, admits it has been “wonderful” getting to know the pair – who play Gregory Finnegan and Harry Thompson on the Channel 4 soap – and they have “come round” to her after adapting to her “million miles an hour” ways.
She said: “They’re wonderful. I think I was a bit too much for them at first – I go at a million miles an hour.
“But they’ve come round to me now.
“I think I’ve made friends for life.”
Sadie will cause chaos next week when she returns to the village, despite being paid off by Liam Donovan (Jude Monk McGowan), and she lets slip to James about the money.
Alexa added to Inside Soap magazine: “James begs her to talk to him so Sadie kind of lets the secret out.
“The cogs are turning in James’ head and he doesn’t know who would pay her off and why.”
Alexa made her first appearance as Sadie in May where it was revealed she is the ex-girlfriend of Harry and had been sending him anonymous texts asking to meet and give her money.
She said at the time: “What an absolute pleasure and privilege it is to be joining the show and entering Hollyoaks village.
“The scenes I’ve filmed so far with Parry and Greg have been great fun. I’m super lucky to be working with a brilliant cast and crew who have welcomed me with open arms.
“I’m so excited for Sadie to be on your screens as there’s some big reveals coming up, great storylines and some massive decisions to be made.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Luisa Bradshaw-White is “really proud” of the ‘EastEnders’ team for holding its first Pride parade.
On tonight’s (05.07.19) episode of the BBC One soap, the Walford residents will give a nod to the real-life London-based event – which celebrates LGBTQ achievements – and the Tina Carter actress has opened up about the “insane” and “exciting” experience filming the scenes.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’, she said: “It makes me really proud. The first-time ever in soap we’ve done Pride. There were 108 supporting artists, it was just actually like Pride.
“They were so amazing, there were drag artists, it was just insane. It was so colourful and it’s so exciting.”
Her co-star Max Bowden added that the episode will focus on “acceptance” and “individuality” in the best way.
He teased: “Tonight’s episode perfectly captures what Pride is about. It’s acceptance, it’s individuality and also the kind of relationships between different people in the community.
“I think Ben and Callum [‘Halfway’ Highway (Tony Clay)] capture that really beautifully.”
During last night’s (04.07.19) episode, Callum’s dad Jonno (Richard Graham) clashed with Ben and came to blows before making a hasty exit from the pub.
He later shared more abusive words to his own son, but Stuart (Ricky Champ) chased him off, before seeing Ben kissing his brother – who is engaged to Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) – on the cheek.
Tonight, Stuart is set to confront Callum over the kiss, and viewers can expect a lot of surprises during the soap’s first Pride party.

OHMYGOSSIP — Anya Taylor-Joy says ‘Last Night in Soho’ will provide a “wild ride” for audiences.
The 23-year-old actress is set to star in Edgar Wright’s highly-secretive forthcoming psychological horror and she admits that after meeting the director two years ago it’s “amazing” to finally be on set with him, and she has teased that she and her co-stars are in for a challenging but rewarding time.
In an interview with Total Film magazine, she said: “When Edgar and I first met a couple of years ago he said that he was writing a script he wanted me to be part of, but you know what movies are like. They’re ephemeral. They’re there and then they’re not there. It’s crazy.
“So the fact we’re actually on set now is amazing. I think it’s going to be a very wild ride for us filming it and it’s going to be a wild ride for the audience in the cinema that’s for sure. And of course it’s Edgar so it’s going to have some killer tunes.”
Anya stars in the project along with Diana Rigg, Terence Stamp, Rita Tushingham, Michael Ajao, Synnøve Karlsen and former ‘Doctor Who’ actor Matt Smith.
Before she gets to grips with her latest horror role, Anya will next feature on screen in a far more family-friendly project as she voices the character Marla in animated adventure film ‘Playmobil: The Movie’.
Although she is best known as a scream queen from her roles in ‘The Witch’, ‘Marrowbone’ ‘Split’ and ‘Glass’, Anya was delighted to land a part in ‘Playmobil: The Movie’ because she loves the “songs and morals” in children’s films and they remind her of her mother and father and they’re unusual parenting methods.
She said: “To be honest, I grew up watching these films. I wasn’t much of a horror fan. I loved the songs and the morals behind the stories. I was very accident prone when I was a kid and any time I had a concussion my parents would drop me in front of a Disney movie and if I could sing the songs, they were like, ‘Oh she’s fine.’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gregory Finnegan relishes the challenge of a gritty storyline.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actor – who has played James Nightingale on the show since 2016 – admitted that while he would love to see his alter-ego “find some happiness”, as a performer it can be more interesting to take on the deeper roles.
He said: “You always want your character to find some happiness, but as an actor, drama often brings great challenges, so we’ll see!”
But he doesn’t want James to follow in the footsteps of his abusive father Mac Nightingale (David Easter).
He admitted: “I hope not. That would be a steep decline indeed but he’s certainly starting out on that path.”
James will react badly when his partner Harry Thompson’s (Parry Glasspool) ex-husband Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) admits he still has feelings for his former flame.
The pair kiss, and Gregory insisted his character is justified with feeling “threatened”.
He said: “[James reacts] pretty badly. It’s a shock that rocks him and his trust in Harry. Yes of course [he’s threatened by Ste].
“He knows how much they once loved each other, and anything is possible with Harry, so I think James is right to feel threatened.”
Last month, Gregory won the British Soap Award for Best Actor, but he thought his co-stars Ijaz Rana (Imran Maalik) and Ashley Taylor Dawson (Darren Osborne) deserved the recognition.
Speaking before the ceremony and after the nominations were revealed, he insisted: “Just really grateful that people want to give me their vote.
“It’s a really strong line up from all the other soaps, but from our show I have to say Ijaz and Ashley have been consistently brilliant so I was surprised to get the nod.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Midsommar’ director Ari Aster considers his latest film to be a “dark comedy”.
The American filmmaker has been terrifying audiences with his new horror movie, which stars Florence Pugh and Jack Reynor as a couple on the brink of splitting who attend a midsummer festival in a remote Swedish village where events take a disturbing course.
However, Ari believes his story is actually a “perverse wish-fulfilment film” and the ending of the movie actually “makes him laugh”.
In an interview with Collider, he said: “I’ve been calling this movie a wish-fulfilment film and fantasy from the beginning. It’s a perverse wish-fulfilment film and fantasy. But for me, yeah, I do see the film as a dark comedy. The ending makes me laugh. Yeah, I was hoping to make kind of like a malignant crowd-pleaser.”
The ‘Hereditary’ director says, for him, the film ends “cathartically” and although he finds it amusing he wants audiences to “question what they’re feeling”.
He added: “I’m hoping that ‘Midsommar’, especially, it’s not just a movie that ends cathartically, but I’m hoping it’s a film about catharsis in a way.
“I hope that whatever you’re feeling at the end, whatever viewers feel at the end, I hope that they feel compelled to question what they’re feeling and not just feel it. I also hope its funny, but I hope that the laughter catches in the throat.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Renee Zellweger will appear at London Pride to unveil the latest trailer for ‘Judy’.
The 50-year-old actress portrays late actress and musical theatre legend Judy Garland in the forthcoming biopic and she is set to introduce the trailer at 4.00pm on the Trafalgar Square Stage on Saturday (06.07.19).
This year’s event marks both the 50th anniversary of Judy Garland’s death at the age of 47 and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, the historic protests in New York City that sparked a revolution in LGBTQ rights in the US
Ian Massa-Harris-McFeely, Deputy Director of Events at Pride in London, said: “We’re delighted to have Renee taking to our Trafalgar Square Stage this year to give the crowds an exciting first glimpse of ‘Judy’.
“In this monumental anniversary year, it’s important that we pay tribute to an icon who was a true ally to the LGBT+ community and whose death was undoubtedly intertwined with the events that happened that night at the Stonewall Inn.”
The movie is based on a script written by ‘The Crown’ scribe Tom Edge and has been produced by BAFTA winner David Livingstone – produced 2014 movie ‘Pride’ which told the story of gay and lesbian activists who raised money to help families affected by the British miners’ strike in 1984.
‘Judy’ is set in 1968 which is 30 years after Garland played the iconic role of Dorothy in ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and she arrives in London to perform a sell-out five-week run at the nightclub ‘Talk of the Town’.
As she prepares for the concerts, she battles with management, charms musicians and reminisces with friends and her fans and embarks on a relationship with Mickey Deans – her soon-to-be fifth husband.
However, the iconic actress-and-singer is fragile and after working for 45 years, she is haunted by memories of a childhood lost to Hollywood and gripped by a desire to be back home with her children, who include actress daughter Liza Minnelli.
Garland was one of the most iconic actresses of the 1940s and starred in a number of movie musicals including ‘Meet Me In St Louis’ and ‘A Star Is Born’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Tamzin Outhwaite is over the moon her ‘EastEnders’ co-star Lucy Benjamin has returned to the soap.
The 48-year-old actress – who made her own comeback last year after first playing Mel Owen in Albert Square from 1998 to 2002 – shared a picture of her “beautiful” pal Lucy, 49, as she was back on set to play Lisa Fowler after last appearing on the soap in 2017.
Sharing a picture of herself in the sun alongside Lucy – as well as Letitia Dean (Sharon Mitchell) and Kellie Bright (Linda Carter) – she wrote: “These beautiful blonde babes, living life like beautiful, blonde bananas (sic)”
Lucy’s return to the role was confirmed last month and the character is set to return after discovering that her on-screen daughter Louise (Tilly Keeper) is pregnant and Lisa – who famously shot her daughter’s father Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) in 2001 – will come back to Albert Square to ensure the safety of her child and grandchild.
The official ‘EastEnders’ twitter account previously tweeted: “Lisa Fowler is coming back to Albert Square!
“With Louise expecting her first child, she’ll want to be close by. How will Phil feel about that?! (sic)”
Opening up on return, Lucy recently said: “Going back to EastEnders feels like going home. I love and adore playing Lisa, and am looking forward to seeing what’s in store for her this time.”
The programme’s executive producer Jon Sen added: “Lisa is one of the most enduringly popular characters in the history of the show.
“We’re chuffed Lucy has agreed to come back for a thrilling storyline that takes us into the heart of her past on the Square.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Amber Gill and Michael Griffiths cleared the air on ‘Love Island’ on Friday (05.07.19), after he dumped her for newcomer Joanna Chimonides.
The 21-year-old beauty therapist was left devastated when the firefighting hunk decided to ditch her for Joanna after connecting with the beauty during the scandalous Casa Amor shake up on the ITV2 reality show, but during Friday’s episode, they finally managed to discuss their feud.
Sitting down with Amber outside, 27-year-old Michael said: “I never wanted to hurt you. Ever.”
And Amber placed blame for the split on herself, saying she doesn’t often show people how much she likes them, so understands why Michael decided to try a romance with someone else.
She told him: “Yeah, I know. I just thought that everything would be okay. Like I really did, and I just … I do feel like it’s partly my fault and it’s just upsetting because I know that I’m f***ing like that and it’s so irritating. I know I don’t open up to people and I don’t show people how much I like them, and it’s my own f***ing fault for doing that so I don’t know what the f**k I expected.”
To which Michael replied: “I know that you’ve got a heart of gold. I know you do. You’ve just got a strange way of showing it sometimes. And yeah you do make me laugh.”
The former couple then shared a laugh with one another, as Amber said: “I know. I do know that. I know that for sure, and you know it’s true as well.”
Since being dumped by Michael, Amber has been single in the villa and got the chance to take an Islander on a date during the episode.
And after originally thinking about trying to steal Michael back, she eventually chose Ovie Soko – who is currently paired up with Anna Vakili – but insisted the date was only as friends, because the “only person” she likes in the villa is Michael.
She said: “I would actually like to take Michael on a date but there is a point where you to have say ‘don’t mug yourself off’ and I’m not going to do that. The only person in the villa that I like is Michael.”
The beauty told Ovie she asked him on a date because he’s supported her since they arrived back at the Villa from Casa Amor.

OHMYGOSSIP — Zara McDermott claims she was voted out of ‘Love Island’ last year due to an unfair amount of “airtime”.
The 22-year-old reality TV star – who featured on the fourth series of the ITV2 summer series in 2018 – left the villa after just two weeks, and now she insisted she was a “victim” of editing meaning viewers were more “invested” in the other contestants.
She said: “I feel like people have got a lot more fairer airtime and I think that’s a good thing – 100%. Because I was definitely a victim to not having as much airtime and I think that that’s why I got voted out was because we didn’t have a lot of airtime.
“I watched it, in the last week I was like barely in it and I did loads of stuff that week, like why wasn’t I in it? So it’s frustrating but I think it’s good that they’re making it fairer.
“However I think that that also means that you can’t get as invested in the characters. You can’t get as invested in the people so it’s a little bittersweet.”
And ‘Made In Chelsea’ star, Sam Thompson – who is in a relationship with the striking brunette – opened up about the current series of the ITV2 dating show, and insisted the programme hasn’t been as “interesting” as previous seasons because its viewers don’t think anybody is there to find romance.
He told Heart Dance: “I think the problem is everyone knows the game so well now, no one is there to find love are they let’s be honest, everyone’s there for the blue tick and a teeth whitening post.”
Sam, 26, went on to reveal how he and Zara began their relationship, when she “slid into his DMs” just a few months ago.
He explained: “Zara and I met a year and a half ago at an event where we didn’t know each other at all or we only spoke for five minutes and then Zara, knowing that we spoke all those years ago slid in to my DMs a few months ago, and I’m incredibly glad she did because she’s now my girlfriend and I’m very very very lucky and very happy.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Paddy McGuinness realised he was “rubbish” at driving after joining ‘Top Gear’.
The ‘Take Me Out’ host – who recently joined the BBC motoring show alongside cricket star Freddie Flintoff and fellow presenter Chris Harris – admitted since landing the job, he’s noticed he pales in comparison to the professional drivers he works with, but he still “loves” the experience.
Speaking on the ‘Zoe Ball Breakfast Show’ he said: “I think everyone sort of thinks ‘I can drive’, and then you get on the track with the pro drivers and you realise you’re rubbish.
“So they take you out and we went to Mercedes and we went to Porsche with their pro drivers and they put all this water on the road and you skid your car about. It really is like schoolboy like dream sort of stuff and we love it.”
The 45-year-old presenter went on to acknowledge that some fans were dubious when he first landed the position as they didn’t feel he knew enough enough about cars.
However, Paddy insisted he has a “passion” for motoring and “wants to learn more” himself throughout his new role.
He added: “I love cars yeah. I think that was one of the things when they release me and Freddie were doing it I think a lot of purist petrol head kind of guys were like ‘whoa hang on they don’t know that much about cars’
“But I came to the show loving cars and being passionate about cars and wanting to learn myself, so I never pretended.
“I probably know a bit more than the average person but nowhere near Chris Harris’ expertise and that’s why he does the heavy lifting on the show and we just mess about.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Newly single Amber Gill and Jordan Hames will each take an Islander on a date on Friday’s (05.07.19) episode of ‘Love Island’.
Following this week’s explosive recoupling on the ITV2 series, the 21-year-old beauty therapist has been left without a partner alongside 24-year-old model Jordan, but the pair will get the opportunity to leave the villa and choose to take a person of their choice on a date.
As the Islanders relax in the garden, Jordan receives a text, which says he can choose someone to take out, and he asks Anna Vakili – who he was previously coupled up with – if she would like to go on a date with him.
Shortly after, Amber receives the same text and in the Beach Hut, she reflects about who she would like to take, after Michael Griffiths dumped her for new girl Joanna Chimonides in this week’s savage re-coupling on Tuesday (02.07.19).
She says: “I would actually like to take Michael on a date but there is a point where you to have say ‘don’t mug yourself off’ and I’m not going to do that. The only person in the villa that I like is Michael.”
Despite questioning whether she should take Michael, Amber decides to choose Ovie for a friend-date, which proves awkward for Jordan who will be hoping to crack on with Anna at the next table.
Amber later reveals to Ovie that she asked him on a date because he’s supported her since they arrived back at the Villa from Casa Amor.
Over at Anna and Jordan’s table, Jordan wastes no time in wooing Anna.
He says: “I feel like since you’ve come back from Casa Amor, I’ve been happier. It’s nice to have you back.”
Speaking about her decision to recouple and leave Jordan single, Anna says: “I feel like the way you’ve handled everything has been so good and attractive.”
Jordan says: “I just wanted to prove that you can trust me and that I do like you. Maybe I didn’t say it enough before you went to Casa Amor.”
Meanwhile, Amber asks Ovie: “Is there anyone in the villa that you have your eye on?”
Ovie replies: “If I had to pick, it would be Joanna.”
However later in the evening, Michael is keen to have a chat with Amber and clear the air.
Amber says: “I don’t think you had any idea how much I liked you.”
Michael responds: “For me, it was hard to see. I felt like I was constantly chasing you. I could not read you. I was constantly questioning it. I didn’t ever want to hurt you. I’m deeply sorry. I do want you to know that I’m still here for you.”
Amber replies: “It’s alright. It’s just annoying though. I just thought everything would be ok. I do feel like it’s partly my fault. It’s upsetting because I know I don’t open up to people and I don’t show people how much I like them.”
Michael adds: “I know that you have a heart of gold. You’ve just got a strange way of showing it sometimes.” Amber and Michael laugh together.
Amber jokes: “Watching you with lovely Joanna who is not catty and lets you talk about your issues but she doesn’t make you laugh as much as me though!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Maura Higgins sets her sights on Curtis Pritchard after his split from Amy Hart.
The ‘Love Island’ beauty is ready to make her move on the newly single dancer, and in scenes set to air tonight (05.07.19) she seems smitten as she tells Lucie Donlan how she feels.
She says: “He’s obviously gorgeous. He’s very manly and I love that. He’s funny. He’s the whole package for me.”
Earlier in the day, Maura and Curtis have a chat in the kitchen, when a white feather lands next to them on the surface.
She tells him: “They say that a white feather in an angel close by trying to tell you something. Have you not heard about that?”
When he wonders what it could me, she smiles: “We might not ever know.”
Meanwhile, Amy decides to get some feedback on what went wrong between her and Curtis, and she asks him if he’s upset they’re no longer in a half-relationship.
He replies: “It’s probably going to be horrible to hear but I do feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.”
Amy isn’t happy, and admits she was hoping to give him a “second chance” after his head was turned by new girl Jourdan Riane while she was in Casa Amor, but she’s realised he doesn’t want the same as her.
She says: “That’s interesting because last night I was going to end the conversation with giving you a second chance. I was going to work hard on our relationship. I thought that is what you wanted. But that’s not what you want.”
Curtis admits: “I don’t feel the romantic connection so I don’t feel like it’ll work in the long run.”

The ‘Boyhood’ actress has begun work on a mystery project, which will boast a “strong female cast” and tell a political tale.
Asked if she’s considered directing a film, she said: “Yeah. I’m working on my first thing now. It’s still top secret.
“We’re working on the draft and getting everyone together.
“It’s going to be a strong female cast.
“Not that it has to be that way but I think it’s a really interesting story. And it’s a political story.”
The 51-year-old star has been urged to move behind the camera several times by other people she’s worked with.
She told Total Film magazine: “A lot of crews have told me I should direct because I make a lot of suggestions.
“And sometimes I’ve gotten frustrated, I think, where I might know a lot more about filmmaking than somebody more green.
“And they’ll be taking a long time to do something, like, ‘Hey, why don’t we do this on this lens?’ or ‘Why don’t we go on sticks for this thing?’ or ‘Why don’t we go on a dolly?’
“So it’s just technical things, even, that I understand.
“A lot of times, a crew will be like, ‘You need to be directing. Please start directing! ”
Patricia thinks she’s learned a lot from all the directors she’s worked with in the past.
She said: “I had such a paternal relationship with most of the main influential directors in my career, who obviously were men, other than Diane Keaton, pretty much.
“Hopefully I’ll have learned something from each of them that I’ll be able to incorporate, because I think good directors have to be like linguists, and figure out what each actor needs.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily James was “blown away” by Danny Boyle.
The 30-year-old actress loved working with the famous director for their recent movie ‘Yesterday’ and says both Danny and writer Richard Curtis was a big part of why she wanted to sign up for the movie.
She told Collider: “I knew Richard because of ‘Mamma Mia’ and so I just loved the script, the scenes were so easy to do. Then Danny just like totally blew me away. I know he’s this an incredible filmmaker but as a person in the room, how he behaves with actors and people. He’s like up on his feet, walking around the room, we were doing the scenes. It was so playful, so energetic. I walked out and I was like I have to get this role. I have to work with these guys for the next three months.”
The filmmakers decided to have a “poignant” surprise cameo, where singer songwriter Jack Malik meets a 78-year-old John Lennon, who lived a peaceful life out of the spotlight, and the movie’s star Himesh Patel admitted it was a very touching scene.
Opening up on the touching scene, he said: “It kind of took my breath away, to be honest. It felt so poignant, of course, and yeah, really beautiful. This whole film is kind of a ‘what if?’ story, and it felt like the tip of that, you know? “Maybe there’s a universe in which that’s where John is. And then he still turns out to be this wonderful, thoughtful, philosophical man.”
The actor playing Lennon in the shock cameo appearance requested – along with Universal – to keep his identity under wraps “out of respect” for the late musician’s memory.
The studio said in a statement: “The filmmakers and the actor made an agreement that they would keep the actor’s identity a secret out of respect for the life and memory of John Lennon. We respect their wishes and therefore will not be releasing his name.”
