OHMYGOSSIP — Three new singletons are to enter the ‘Love Island’ villa.
Harley Brash, 20, India Reynolds, 28, and Greg O’Shea, 24, are set to shock the islanders when they arrive at the villa, and both girls have already got their eye on Ovie Soko and newly-single Michael Griffiths.
Harley said: “I think Ovie is absolutely beautiful, he is stunning so he is basically my perfect man. I also think Anton comes across really funny so I’d be open to getting to know him.
“I really fancy Michael but I think he is a bit misunderstood. He’s lovely to look at though, I could definitely just look at him!”
Whilst when asked who she has her eye on, India added: “Ovie! And Michael is good looking.”
Meanwhile, Greg has his eye on Maura Higgins, as he thinks they’ll be perfectly suited because of their “good craic”.
He said: “I need to get in the villa and see what the story is and who is good craic! I’d say me and Maura will hit it off straight away, being two Irish people and she’s hilarious. She’s very naturally funny and she’s gorgeous as well so you never know.”
Greg stopped believing in love after his last relationship went pear-shaped but he hopes entering the villa will restore his faith.
He said: “I’ve always been a one girl kind of guy … If I see a girl I tend to fall for her hard. Hopefully that can happen again. After my last relationship I lost my faith in love so hopefully going into the villa can get my belief in love back.”
And Harley insists she won’t “hold back” if she likes one of the boys who are already coupled up.
She said: “I’ll always tell a girl first if I like the guy they are coupled up with but if I’ve told the girl, then the game is on. I wouldn’t be sneaky or snakey but if I’ve told someone I like someone, don’t think I’m going to hold back.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Margot Robbie is like a “kid in a candy shop” when she goes to work.
The 29-year-old actress related to the enthusiasm her ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ director Quentin Tarantino had every day on set because she shared in his excitement for doing something so “amazing” as a job.
She told Psychologies magazine: “Everyone asks me, ‘How is it? How is he on set?’ I’ve been on sets for pretty much the last 10 years and I still walk on and think, ‘This is so cool! That’s amazing!’
“I’m like a kid in a candy shop.
“Then Tarantino arrives and he’s got the same, if not more, enthusiasm and he’s really excited.
“It’s his film set and he’s not jaded at all – he’s just so happy to be there.”
Margot was particularly excited to work on the movie because the director has always been one of her “idols”.
She said: “I’m excited to have had the chance to work with Quentin Tarantino, who is an idol of mine.”
The ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ star never expected to be a big Hollywood star – and even her family were still expecting her to return home to study even after her career took off.
She said: “Growing up, I never knew acting was a realistic career option. I was a girl from Dalby in Australia, who thought that only Americans could become famous actors, even though there were several major stars who came from my country.
“As a child, I dreamed of becoming a magician or a hotel owner.
“And in a way that dream came true because, as an actress, I entertain people with illusions and I often get to stay in the most beautiful hotels.
“What’s also funny is that when I started acting, my family thought it was a hobby.
“It took them a couple of years to realise that being an actress is a profession and it was only when they came to visit me in New York and I showed them the giant poster for ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ in Times Square that they became convinced I was never going to go to university.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Diego Luna felt “disappointed” by the ending of ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’.
The 39-year-old actor – who plays Cassian Andor in the 2016 movie – has admitted to feeling downcast at the conclusion of the Gareth Edwards-directed film.
Reflecting on his character’s death, Diego told SYFY Wire: “When I saw the film the first time, I was so disappointed at the end. And not because of the film. My son said, ‘But that’s it, Dad. Right? That’s it.’ And I go, ‘Well, yes. That’s the thing about this film.’
“Even though I knew, and I understood, I think that’s the moment where I really got it. I really realised that a character I loved, and a universe I couldn’t care more about [was done].”
Despite this, Diego retains fond memories of making the movie and admitted the franchise has left a “very deep mark” on him.
The actor – who starred alongside the likes of Felicity Jones and Donnie Yen in the film – shared: “The tone of our film, it pays honour to, I believe, the best times of this universe. And obviously, I say the best because it’s when I was open and ready to receive that.
“Those [‘Star Wars’] films left a very deep mark on me, as [the] audience, and as a filmmaker.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Pharrell Williams has likened working on ‘The Lion King’ to “college”.
The ‘Happy’ hitmaker collaborated on the soundtrack to the new live action remake of the Disney animated hit and he admits it was a “gift” to be around such “legendary” musicians and work on their versions of the iconic songs.
Speaking at the European premiere of ‘The Lion King’, held in London’s Leicester Square, he said: “It is a gift. It is one of the best apprenticeships. It is one of the best – I didn’t go to college but this is college to me. I was working around nothing but legends. It’s such an interesting thing because I know the original but to see the actual thing, what we’ve been working on for this new version, it just continues to blow my mind because you know where it came from and you know where it’s heading. It’s like what is this life.”
And Williams admits the movie is a particularly “big” project for him as he is thrilled to see positive hopeful stories coming out from Africa.
He added: “I just wanted to stay out of the way. There’s so many legends. It’s just things you can’t really put into a sentence. ‘Oh I know what I’m going to do. I’m going to wake up today and I’m going to work with this person and this person and this person and this person and this person today.’ And it’s on a legendary project and tells a story in a continent that needs as much beautiful positive hopeful stories as we can get. Africa. I mean how many times do we see stories that come out that give hope to all races. I’m honoured to be a part of it … Culturally for my DNA, this is big for us.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Robert Downey Jr thinks playing Iron Man was the closest he’ll come to “being a trust fund kid”.
The 54-year-old actor – who played the iconic superhero between 2008 and 2019 – has admitted that the sought-after role gave him a feeling of security.
He explained: “There’s always a dependency on something that feels like a sure thing. It’s the closest thing I will ever come to being a trust fund kid.
“And also there’s a real bell-shaped curve. Initially by creating and associating and synergizing with Tony Stark and the Marvel universe and all this stuff, and being a good company man, but also being a little off kilter, being creative and getting into all these other partnerships, it was a time when – it’s like, what do they say? Owners start looking like their pets.
“Occasionally you would pull back from it and go ‘All right, let me get off the teat of this archetype and let me see where I stand.’ And you can feel really buffeted and you can be really spun out by it.”
Downey Jr also insisted it’s important he draws a distinction between his on-screen character and his real-life self.
Speaking to ‘Off-Camera With Sam Jones’, he said: “First thing you learn in theatre arts: aesthetic distance.
“I am not my work. I am not what I did with that studio. I am not that period of time that I spent playing this character. And it sucks, because the kid in all of us wants to be like, ‘No. It’s always going to be summer camp and we’re all holding hands and singing ‘Kumbaya’.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lou Ferrigno can’t take Mark Ruffalo “seriously” as the Hulk.
The 67-year-old actor – who played the Hulk in the CBS TV series – has hailed Mark’s abilities as a performer, but doesn’t think he’s convincing as the Marvel character.
He explained: “Mark is a wonderful actor. But we’ve had three different actors – we’ve had Eric Bana, Edward Norton, and Mark Ruffalo.
“I like Bill Bixby the best, I like Edward Norton. But Ruffalo – I think he’s a wonderful actor, he blends in with the Marvel aspect of the ‘Avengers’ – but I can’t take him seriously enough.”
Meanwhile, Mark recently revealed he got a “dummy script” for ‘Avengers: Endgame’.
The actor admitted that in order to avoid spoilers, directors Joe and Anthony Russo gave him a script with fake scenes so he didn’t accidentally let any details of the film slip.
Mark – who has also starred in hit films like ‘Foxcatcher’ – said: “I got a script, but it was a dummy.
“There were scenes in there that I thought we were shooting that nobody ever shot.”
Anthony insisted that he and his brother were doing the cast a “favour” with the fake scripts by making it easier for them to keep secrets.
He explained: “It’s like doing them a favour, because it’s hard to keep secrets, it’s hard to keep your mouth closed.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell has scrapped ‘The X Factor’s theme tune because he’s sick of it.
The 59-year-old music mogul has disliked the song for years and has now turned to musicians in Los Angeles in order to find a replacement tune.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday newspaper, Simon explained: “We’re scrapping the theme song – I can’t listen to that again. You get into a habit with these things but it’s one of the three worst theme songs I’ve heard.
“I’m asking around LA to see if someone can write us something new. I’d like ‘X Factor’ to be like the Bond films and have a new theme every year.”
Simon revealed the show’s set is poised to be revamped, too.
He shared: “I haven’t decided how it will look yet – but I have met with a designer.”
Recently, it was reported Simon is on the cusp of inking a deal that’ll see ‘X Factor’ and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ remain on air until 2022.
Simon has reached an agreement with ITV to keep them on the channel for the next three years, according to a TV insider.
The source said: “There have been meetings recently between Simon’s producers and ITV executives to thrash out some of the details, but Simon is already planning how to build on the shows’ successes on ITV.
“Everyone is looking forward to the future.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Wright decided to ditch TV fame for the sake of her new family.
The reality TV star is engaged to former soccer star Rio Ferdinand and has revealed she happily walked away from her TV career in order to help raise Rio’s kids, Lorenz, 12, Tate, ten, and Tia, eight.
She explained: “I had two choices. I’m in this world with lots of drama and then I met Rio and the children and, I thought, ‘I’m with these kids, who have lost their mum, they don’t need a woman who is out all the time. They need someone at home with them.’ ”
Rio’s children lost their mum, Rebecca, in 2015, and Kate thinks it’s important to put them at the centre of everything they do moving forwards.
She told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “A really big part of our relationship and it working for the children is that we’ve included them in everything we’ve done.
“So from the first date, him asking me to be his girlfriend, us moving in – everything – the kids were part of it.
“So it wasn’t me taking their dad away from them, it was more us becoming a family unit.”
According to Kate, their relationship changed when Rio asked whether she wanted to settle down.
She said: “We were eating a fry-up in a cafe in Bromley and he said, ‘I really like you and I really like your dog, will you be my girlfriend?’
“The kids were like, ‘No, she’s not going to say yes, Dad’. They were so embarrassed. But I did say yes.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Elton John “never thought” he would see a remake of ‘The Lion King’.
The 72-year-old singer – who penned and performed some of the movie’s biggest hits including ‘Circle of Life’ and ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight’ – is thrilled that the Disney movie has got a live action remake, but admits he didn’t ever think it could have happened until the success of Jon Favreau’s ‘The Jungle Book’.
Speaking at the European premiere of ‘The Lion King’, held in London’s Leicester Square, he said: “It’s astonishing. I never thought it would ever happen but because ‘The Jungle Book’ was so wonderfully done and reinvented by Jon Favreau, this one has been done the same.
“It will give a new, more realistic view of ‘The Lion King’. The other one was obviously an animation, this one is not. And it’s just another notch up there for Disney and ‘The Lion King’. I’ve seen the movie, it’s fantastic.”
For John – who was involved in the 1994 original animated movie – it is “wonderful” to see the story of ‘The Lion King’ back in the cinema.
He added: “I’m very glad that I was involved in the first one, since 1993 I was first involved in it and it’s been a part of my life ever since. I must have seen it about 40 times by now. It’s wonderful to see it and wonderful to be involved in it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jon Favreau “reached out” to Beyonce for ‘The Lion King’.
The filmmaker was thrilled when the iconic singer agreed to voice the part of Nala in the new live action remake.
Speaking at the European premiere of ‘The Lion King’, held in London’s Leicester Square, he said: “I reached out to her. I thought she’d be wonderful for Nala and when you see what she’s able to do with the role and the songs, it’s quite wonderful.”
And Favreau is full of praise for the cast and how they “improvised” to make the movie seem more like a “standard theatrical dramatic performance”.
He added: “I wanted to create something that felt live action, even though every environment is digitally generated, every performance is hand animated. We wanted it to feel like a live action film almost like a documentary and part of what contributed to that was to allow the actors to overlap and improvise. We put them together in almost what looks like a theatrical rehearsal in a black box theatre.
“We gave everyone a microphone and so it was as if they were performing for a standard theatrical dramatic performance. It’s the first time I’m using this technique, it felt right because we have Billy Eichner, Seth Rogen and Donald Glover, who are good improvisers. We wanted to give it a natural feel than have it feel like an animated performance.”
Favreau admits it was a “challenge” making the movie as he wanted to make sure he did the animated Disney classic “justice”.
He shared: “I think the challenge is to do justice to a story that everybody is so familiar with and make sure you stay true to the original story but using new tools where you can.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Griffiths and Joanna Chimonides are at risk of being dumped from the ‘Love Island’ villa.
The duo were voted the least favourite couple in the villa by both the public and their fellow Islanders and were expected to be booted off the show but in a shock twist, only one will leave.
Host Caroline Flack told the couple: “Joanna and Michael, you haven’t been saved by either the public or your fellow Islanders. Therefore you cannot stay in Love Island as a couple. One of you must leave the island.”
Earlier in the evening, the Islanders chose to save Anna Vakili and Jordan Hames, allowing them to remain in the villa.
Giving their reasons for choosing Anna and Jordan, Maura Higgins and Chris Taylor said: “Obviously, this is not an easy decision but we do feel one of the couples stands a better chance of making things work on the outside. So the couple we have chosen to save is Anna and Jordan.”
Whilst Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury said: “This certain couple has gone through a lot over the past couple of weeks. This show shows you how much you want something to work. The couple we have chosen to save is Amber and Jordan.”
Amber Gill – who was dating Michael before he left her for Joanne – and her fellow Islander Ovie Soko opted to save Jordan and Anna.
He said: “We decided to save this couple because they’ve been through some very tough tests in the villa. We feel like the two of them, they have a chance at something long lasting and for those reasons, we have decided to save Jordan and Anna.”
Belle Hassan and Anton Danyluk chose to save Michael and Joanna, as did Curtis Pritchard and Francesca Allen.
Through tears, Anton said: “We would like to save this couple because – as you can tell its not an easy decision for me, tonight I’m going to lose one of my boys and Belle’s gonna lose one of her girls. There’s one couple we started our journeys with. We want to save Michael and Joanna.”
Whilst Curtis and Francesca said of Michael and Joanna: “Both couples are incredible. And I feel one couple is very strong and the second couple haven’t had a chance to prove they are so strong. The couple we have chosen to save is Michael and Joanna.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The reboot of ‘Shipwrecked’ has been axed after just one series.
The E4 reality TV series returned to screens after a seven-year break in January, with new narrator Vick Hope, but the broadcaster has decided to cancel the show next year as they have a number of other programmes taking priority.
A spokesman for E4 told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “‘Shipwrecked’ brought a much-appreciated splash of winter sunshine to E4 this year.
“However, with a host of new E4 shows arriving in 2020, ­’Shipwrecked’ will not be on screen next year.”
The show – which was initially narrated by Andrew Lincoln, and then former ‘Coronation Street’ actor Craig Kelly in later series – saw contestants aged between 18 and 24 cast away on a tropical island and left to build their own version of paradise.
‘Shipwrecked’ was one of the earliest reality TV series, launching the same year as the UK version of ‘Big Brother’ back in 2000.
It ran for three series until 2001, before returning in 2006 as ‘Shipwrecked: Battle Of The Islands’, which saw the contestants divided into two groups to compete for a cash prize of up to £100,000.
In total, the original show ran for eight series with the last season running on E4 in 2012.
Past contestants included TV presenters Jeff Brazier and Sarah-Jane Crawford, as well as ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ winner Stephen Bear.
The reboot was inspired by ITV2’s ‘Love Island’.
A source previously said: “Lots of people have fond memories of watching ‘Shipwrecked’ in their youth and dreaming about joining the fun in paradise.
“Now Channel 4 have decided to give millennials the same experience, after ‘Love Island’ proved sun-kissed hunks and beauties frolicking in a tropical setting can result in huge ratings.”
The series saw contestants flown out to the South Pacific’s Cook Islands where campmates were split into two tribes to battle it out for a £50,000 prize.

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Hart has admitted she could re-create “team Pritchard” with Curtis Pritchard’s brother AJ Pritchard.
The former ‘Love Island’ star left the villa last week, days after being left devastated when Curtis dumped her, but she has now suggested she and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pro AJ could become closer after their flirty appearance on spin-off show ‘Love Island: Aftersun’ last night (14.07.19).
When asked by an audience member who out of the Islanders he would go for if he was on the programme, AJ said: “Amy looks gorgeous this evening, and I love her hair.”
The air stewardess then replied: “We could recreate team Pritchard.”
On the programme, Amy was shown footage for the first time of the moment Curtis’ head was turned by Jourdan Riane in the villa – and she admitted watching the clip had thrown her “back a few paces” after being “in such a good place” after quitting the show.
She said: “My heart’s [beating]. I’ve been in such a good place and things like this throws me back a few paces.
“That’s why I had to leave when I did … I couldn’t sit there.
“That lap dancing challenge, I’d have refused to do it. I couldn’t sit there [watching Maura Higgins].
“We have parted as friends, as much as that hurts I know what happens afterwards.”
However, Amy admitted suffering a break-up in the villa was the “best place” for her to have done so, because she received so much support from the ‘Love Island’ production team and her fellow Islanders.
She added: “I cannot stress how much I was supported form all the production team, everyone and also my fellow islanders who knew what happened from start to finish.
“Going through heart break in the villa … it was the best place for me.”
Amy also admitted she still feels shocked that Maura wanted to pursue Curtis.
She said: “I was surprised shall we say, as it hadn’t been mentioned during the four weeks I’d known her.
“The list of qualities don’t match up to Curtis, maybe she was doing that to put me off the scent.”
Curtis is currently coupled up with newcomer Francesca Allen after she chose him in the latest recoupling before Maura had the chance. But he has insisted he still wants to get to know both.

OHMYGOSSIP — Several former ‘Coronation Street’ stars will come together for a new documentary to mark the soap’s 60th anniversary.
Suranne Jones – who played Karen McDonald in the show – Sarah Lancashire (Racquel Watts) and Julie Goodyear (Bet Lynch) are among the stars set to appear in ‘Queens of the Street’, which will look back at their time on the famous cobbles.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “It’s Corrie’s 60th birthday next year so ITV are planning some special shows to celebrate the landmark.
“The show launched the careers of some of the biggest stars on TV – especially the likes of Suranne and Sarah. It’ll be a real celebration of all those women we’ve seen in the Rovers Return.”
Amanda Barrie (Alma Halliwell) and Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre) are also expected to be a part of the programme.
Last year, Michelle – who played Tina from 2008 to 2014 – admitted she works hard to make the ‘Corrie’ casting team proud after they “gave her a chance”.
Recalling just after she found out she was cast, she said: “I walked out stunned. I phoned my dad and asked if he wanted to be picked up from work. When he got into the car I had the script on the back seat and I asked him to pass it to me. He looked at it, saw my name and what it was and screamed.
“He was – and still is – the biggest ‘Corrie’ fan. It changed my life and all our lives. Part of the reason I work so hard is because I want to make the casting people at ‘Coronation Street’ proud because they were the ones who gave me my chance.”
Since departing the role, she has gone on to appear in BBC drama ‘Our Girl’, ITV2 comedy ‘Plebs’ and drama series ‘Ordinary Lies’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Lashana Lynch is set to take on the role of the first-ever female 007 in the new James Bond movie.
The 31-year-old actress is to star as a character who reportedly takes over Daniel Craig’s suave spy alter-ego’s famous secret agent number when he leaves MI6 in ‘Bond 25’.
An insider said: “There is a pivotal scene at the start of the film where M says, ‘Come in 007’, and in walks Lashana who is black, beautiful and a woman.
“It’s a popcorn-dropping moment. Bond is still Bond but he’s been replaced as 007 by this stunning woman.”
Despite being the new 007, Bond is said to try it on with the character, but she initially declines his advances.
The insider said: “Bond, of course, is sexually attracted to the new female 007 and tries his usual seduction tricks, but is baffled when they don’t work on a brilliant, young black woman who basically rolls her eyes at him and has no interest in jumping into his bed.
“Well, certainly not at the beginning.”
But Lynch and her fellow female co-stars will not be referred to as “Bond girls” anymore, because the phrase is forbidden.
The source added to the Mail on Sunday newspaper: “We were all told that from now on they are to be addressed as ‘Bond women’.”
The plot begins with a retired Bond in Jamaica, but due to a new worldwide crisis he is soon called back to help the Secret Intelligence Service – commonly known as MI6 – by Ralph Fiennes’ spymaster alter-ego M.
This comes after it was reported last week that Christoph Waltz is to reprise his role as villain Blofeld after portraying the character in 2015’s ‘Sepctre’.
He is said to have been spotted on set at Pinewood Studios, where the upcoming 25th installment of the franchise is currently being filmed, and reportedly told one set visitor in hushed tones: “You haven’t seen me. I’m not here.”
In ‘Spectre’, Blofeld tried to establish a global surveillance network that would allow his villainous group to monitor and evade criminal investigations at the highest level.
The villain – who was revealed to be Bond’s foster brother – was left disfigured after an explosion and in the finale, his helicopter was shot down, but it was confirmed Blofeld was still alive as he was seen crawling from the wreckage.

The 54-year-old actor – who played the Marvel superhero between 2008 and 2019 – has admitted it was both thrilling and “very hard work” to portray Tony Stark and that he is looking forward to stepping outside of his comfort zone to explore other roles.
He told ‘Off-Camera With Sam Jones’: “I had an incredible 10-year run that was creatively satisfying.
“It was very, very, very hard work and I dug very deep, but I have not been forced to explore the new frontier of what is my creative and personal life after this.”
He also admitted playing the inventor was the closest he’ll come to “being a trust fund kid”.

Downey Jr. also insisted it’s important he draws a distinction between his on-screen character and his real-life self.
He said: “First thing you learn in theatre arts: aesthetic distance.
“I am not my work. I am not what I did with that studio. I am not that period of time that I spent playing this character. And it sucks, because the kid in all of us wants to be like, ‘No. It’s always going to be summer camp and we’re all holding hands and singing ‘Kumbaya’.”
