Love Island’s Harley Brash and Chris Taylor ‘split’

OHMYGOSSIP — Love Island’s Harley Brash and Chris Taylor have split up.
The love birds have become the first couple of series five – which wrapped just two weeks ago – to go their separate ways less than a month after they were introduced.
The pair are yet to confirm their break up but rumours began to swirl just days ago when funny man Chris was spotted getting cosy to ex-islander Maria Wild at the show’s reunion party while Harley glared at them from a pavement across the road.
The 28-year-old hunk put an affectionate arm around Maria – who joined Casa Amor before getting dumped when she failed to find love – as they puffed on a cigarette, according to the Daily Mirror newspaper.
Chris recently said him and Harley were still together but were taking things slow.
He explained: “We are still together, we’re taking at our own pace. We haven’t had a chat about it, we’re moving at the pace that we want to move at, regardless to the situation of people pushing it and stuff. This is a real life situation.”
Although fans were rooting for the pair from the moment they were introduced three weeks ago, things got off to a rocky start in the sun-soaked villa when Chris admitted during a challenge that he thought him and India Reynolds were meant to be together.
The innocent revelation led to Harley branding him “disrespectful” and it took a lot of grovelling on Chris’ behalf for her to forgive him and agree to give their romance a go.
Despite getting off on the wrong foot, things heated up between them fairly quickly as Harley said after her exit that she was “excited” to see whether things would go.
She said: “I wouldn’t have done anything differently. I stayed true to myself.
“It’s still really early for me and Chris. We’re going to see how things go on the outside.
“He’s so lovely and he’s so sweet. So, I’m excited to see where it goes.”
And Chris added: “Meeting Harley was obviously a highlight.
“It’s really early doors for us, we didn’t get to spend loads and loads of time together in the villa. It’s anyone’s guess at the moment.
“It could be a thing but we need to spend more time together in a real-life environment to know whether anything could work.”

The Chase’s Paul Sinha using Parkinson’s battle for comedy

OHMYGOSSIP — The Chase’s Paul Sinha is using his battle with Parkinson’s Disease as material for his comedic routines.
The 49-year-old comedian and quizzer – whose nickname is the Sinnerman – was diagnosed with the long-term degenerative disorder three months ago, but he’s refusing to let the illness control his life and is using his experience with the condition to make people laugh when he’s performing on stage.
Taking to his blog, he wrote: “I have also started writing routines about it all.
“It’s not necessarily easy to listen to, and it can be a bit brutal, but it’s my job as a comedian to be funny and honest, and I’m not about to stop trying now. It’s going very well so far.”
Paul wants his fans to follow his “fight” but he doesn’t want “pity” because that won’t improve his health.
He explained: “I’m comfortable for the public to follow my fight.
“I’d like to be an unofficial mascot for Living Your Life. With two elderly parents, and a severely autistic nephew, I’m only the fourth most unwell member of my immediate family. This helps prevent me descending into self pity, and perhaps more importantly self pity won’t help my health.”
Instead, the Sinnerman wants to focus on comedy and quizzing because they keep him happy.
He said: “Happiness helps my health. And for me that is drinking and dining, the company of friends, family and engaging strangers, and striving to be as good as possible at my two beloved jobs. Comedy and Quizzing. As long as the rest of my life is mostly that, then quite frankly Parkinson’s can go f**k itself.”
Paul shared his battle with Parkinson’s Disease in June and admitted, although he was “devastated” by the news, he wasn’t “shocked” because his health had started to deteriorate in 2017.
He explained: “It was a devastating denouement to a medical odyssey that began in September 2017 with a sudden-onset, frozen right shoulder, and took in an unexpected diagnosis of Type 2 diabetes, a lifestyle transformation that enabled me to lose two stone, and a shoulder operation in January this year.
“Nonetheless my reaction was not one of shock. I spent May this year in New Zealand simultaneously having the comedy month of my life, and worrying about why a right-sided limp was now getting worse. Behind the facade of the cheerful, late night comedy festival drunk was a man deeply scared about facing the truth when back in the UK.”

Love Island’s winter series will be plagued with creepy crawlies

OHMYGOSSIP — Love Island’s winter series in South Africa will see contestants come face-to-face with venomous snakes, poisonous spiders, vicious scorpions and hungry big cats.
Those looking for love on the forthcoming instalment of the dating show, which will be filmed early next year, won’t just need to be on the lookout for players and heartbreakers as they’ll also have to watch where they put their feet, check the pool before they dive in and lift up the toilet seat before they plonk their bottoms down.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “Health and safety experts will be specially drafted in to help look out for deadly snakes and other poisonous creepy-crawlies.
“There will be a specialist medic on hand, too, so contestants can get urgent medical attention. Plus, if necessary, facilities to chopper them to a local hospital.
“This is a very different kettle of fish to filming in mainland Europe.
“The South African outback is a hive of wildlife activity and exactly why it is a top destination for safaris. Scorpions and spiders are   likely to be lurking in contestants’ shoes — these won’t kill you but they will put you in hospital if you’re bitten.
“The advice will be to close all windows and doors, not to go out at night alone and to use protective sprays, wear long clothing and check beds, shoes and clothes before getting dressed.”
And it’s not just the contestants that will need to be on high alert during their time in the luxury villa, as presenter Caroline Flack and narrator Iain Stirling will also need to sleep with one eye open in case there are any creepy-crawlies lurking around.
A spokesperson for ITV said: “As with all of our productions, the health and safety of both our cast and crew is our number one priority.”

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before announces a third movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Netflix have confirmed ‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before’ will be followed by a third movie – before its sequel has even been released.
The streaming giant confirmed the news of ‘To All The Boys: Always & Forever, Lara Jean’, while also revealing that follow-up ‘To All The Boys: PS I Still Love You’ will hit screens in 2020.
Netflix announced: “To All The Boys fans, SOME NEWS:
“The sequel — To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You — premieres February 12!
“And a third film –To All The Boys: Always And Forever Lara Jean — is already in production!!! (sic)”
The movie’s star, Lana Condor – who plays Lara Jean – also confirmed the news on her Instagram account.
Sharing a brief video of herself and co-star Noah Centineo, she wrote: “Spilling tea left & right!!! TATB2: Ps. I Still Love You PREMIERES February 12th! & we’re currently filming TATB3: Always and Forever, Lara Jean!!! We love you all madly xx (sic)”
Noah shared the same clip and wrote: That’ll do TATB 2 – Feb 12 TATB 3 – TBD
ON NETFLIX (sic)”
Netflix first announced the sequel back in December.
An announcement at the time read: “To All The Fans I’ve Loved Before, I miss you. I know it’s only been a few months and I swear I wasn’t trying to avoid you, I just didn’t know how to answer your question without lying to you.
“The truth isn’t always simple or straightforward–and as we all know too well, dating contracts have a way of quickly getting complicated. But, the letters are out…it’s true. A To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before sequel is coming to Netflix.”
While the movies are based on Jenny Han’s novels of the same time, the first film didn’t completely follow the book as fans didn’t get to see Lara Jean and Peter (Centineo) get together at the end, so it is unclear how faithful to the original writing the next installments will be.
Susan Johnson directed the first movie but is executive producer on the sequel, with Michael Fimognari at the helm.
Johnson previously said: “‘Directing To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before’ has been one of the great experiences of my life, and I am grateful to the fans for their passionate support of the film.
“Due to the timing of my other projects I won’t be directing the sequel, but as an executive producer, I am looking forward to continuing to share Lara Jean’s story and being part of this franchise.”

I’m a better mom because I’m able to go away and do what I love. Even if I failed miserably, I’m following my dreams. … I would be less of a mother if I didn’t set out every day to try to make my dreams come true and other people’s dreams come true. Sam Faiers wants to stop yanking lashes out for daughter’s sake

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Faiers realised she needed to stop pulling her eyelashes out when her daughter copied her.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star has battled with trichotillomania – in which sufferers struggle to fight the urge to pull out their hair – since her dad Dave was sent to prison when she was a child, but she decided to seek help when her 21-month-old daughter Rosie started fiddling with her own eyes.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Friday (16.08.19), she said: “I’ve actually been pulling [my eyelashes out] for 20 years. It’s been a lifetime.
“I started when I was seven or eight. I’ve done it for my whole life. When I was a teenager I started hypnotherapy and I stopped doing it for a while.
“I’ve been seeing a mental health awareness life coach and I feel a lot better after a couple of sessions. You have to go back to the trigger and learn to face it. It’s really weird. I do it kind of subconsciously, like when I’m relaxing and in my sleep and that’s why it’s really hard.
“When I met Paul [Knightley, her partner] and he said: ‘Can’t you stop?’ but I do it in my sleep. He understands now and he’s supporting me and really trying to help me.
“When I was breastfeeding Rosie and I would feel my lashes, Rosie would take my hand and copy what I was doing. I don’t want my kids to think it’s normal.”
Sam – who also has son Paul, three, with Paul – discovered that her dad’s prison sentence was her trigger because a friend once told her that she should make a wish on a fallen eyelash.
She explained: “When I was younger, I was really close to my dad Dave and he went to prison and got sentenced for a long time and I took that quite hard.
“I didn’t understand and a friend came one afternoon and said: ‘If you pull out your eyelashes your wishes will come true.’ So I would wish for my dad to come home from prison. I don’t relate it to that anymore, now its just a habit but actually that’s the trigger.”
Dave – who is actually Sam’s step-father but who she calls dad – was jailed for four years after he was found guilty for his part in a £1.1 million bullion robbery in December in 2013.

Jurell Carter too tall for raunchy caravan scenes

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Emmerdale’ actor Jurell Carter is finding filming difficult because he can “barely fit” into his character’s caravan.
The soap newcomer – who portrays Nate Robinson – stands at 6ft 3in so is finding it incredibly “awkward” to bundle himself into the mobile home.
He admitted to Inside Soap magazine: “We’ve been filming a lot in Nate’s caravan – and it’s so small!
“Being a big guy I can barely fit in it, it’s so awkward to get into, and I have to keep my head down.”
And it’s proving even more difficult when shooting steamy scenes with Natalie J. Robb (Moira Dingle) in the caravan.
He added: “The bed in there is so narrow. It’s a single bed, and when we filmed a scene between Moira and Nate in there the other day, we took up most of the caravan!”
While Moira’s husband, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is currently unaware of her infidelity, soap bosses have previously revealed the affair will be discovered by the mechanic in explosive episodes set to air in October.
Producer Kate Brooks previously confirmed: “Obviously Moira is married to Cain, who is the ultimate bad boy, so when he does find out, it will be explosive and there will be lots of drama and ramifications for all of our characters involved.
“We’re really going to get to the core of why this affair has happened, and the consequences to it. This will all come to a massive head in October. We like to do our big week in October to set the Autumn schedule alight.”

Kieron Richardson teases ‘biggest’ Hollyoaks stunt yet

OHMYGOSSIP — Kieron Richardson has teased ‘Hollyoaks’ October stunt will be their “biggest, best ever”.
The 33-year-old actor – who portrays Ste Hay – revealed ‘X Factor’ star Jake Quickenden’s recent casting in the soap is related the show’s annual special effects extravaganza and though details are being kept under wraps, its something the whole cast are excited about.
He said: “Jake Quickenden is involved! It’s always amazing and the director doing it this year did our iconic bus crash years ago.
“They bring in the special effects team and Bryan Kirkwood said it’s gonna be our biggest, best ever.”
Although the plot is being kept under wraps, it’s believed Jake has been filming with show veterans Steph Waring (Cindy Cunningham), Sarah Jayne Dunn (Mandy Richardson), Ashley Taylor Dawson (Darren Osbourne), Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins) and Nick Pickard (Tony Hutchinson).
Next year will see the soap celebrate a milestone anniversary and Kieron – whose alter ego is currently involved with a far right group – thinks bosses will be pulling out all the stops in the fallout from the stunt.
He added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “We’re going into our 25th anniversary so I expect it’s gonna be shocking.”
Jake recently admitted it is a “privilege” to be working on the show.
He said: “It’s very exciting and it’s a privilege. ‘Hollyoaks’ is such an amazing show and it’s been around for so long; to be asked to come and have a role on it, it’s amazing.
“I’m really happy. I’ve had a great day and everyone’s so sound. It’s nice to arrive somewhere new and know someone like Steph [Waring] too, she’s made it really easy to fit in.”

Len Goodman thinks Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse will get ‘criticism’

OHMYGOSSIP — Len Goodman thinks new ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge Motsi Mabuse will get “criticism” no matter what she does.
The former head judge – who quit the ballroom and latin show in 2016 – is worried that the brunette beauty will face backlash when the programme returns to screens next month because she’s the sister of professional dancer Oti Mabuse and people will accuse her of being bias.
Speaking to The Sun Online, the 75-year-old dancer said: “That’s going to be the hardest thing for Motsi. Can you imagine if Oti is in the final two in the dance-off?
“Whatever decision she makes Motsi will get criticism. If she puts Oti through then people will say she’s doing her sister a favour. If she votes her off they will say she didn’t want to be seen to be keeping it in the family.
“I’ve been in a similar situation when I’ve had to judge pupils or former pupils in dancing competitions. All you can do is make the decision based on what you see and try to act with integrity. I’m sure Motsi will do that and if that means having to vote Oti off then that’s what she’ll have to do.”
The 38-year-old judge will sit on the panel alongside Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas and Bruno Tonioli after she was chosen as Dame Darcey Bussell’s replacement.
She said: “I am absolutely overjoyed to be joining the ‘Strictly’ judging panel. I have so much respect and admiration for the other three judges and hope to add my own bit of sparkle to the show. I can’t wait to get started!”
Motsi has been a judge on ‘Let’s Dance’ in Germany – having previously appeared in 2007 as a contestant – and she is both a former South African Champion and German Latin Champion in 2009 and 2010 respectively.

Pedro Almodovar told Antonio Banderas to be different

OHMYGOSSIP — Pedro Almodovar wanted Antonio Banderas to “renounce” his previous work for ‘Pain and Glory’.
The 69-year-old director thinks the Spanish actor’s role in his new movie as ageing director Salvador Mallo will be “very distinctive” because his performance is so different to anything else he’s ever done as he wanted his lead star to be more understated.
He told the I newspaper: “This is a very distinctive piece of work for him. His interpretations of the role is very much opposite to what made him famous: the bravura, the showmanship. It was almost like a process of renouncing what he’d done previously. This role is very much about his renewal as an actor.”
The filmmaker admitted it was particularly difficult to call his fellow Spaniard and tell him, “the last thing I want you to be is Antonio Banderas”.
The non-linear tale – which is based on the director’s own life – also features Penelope Cruz as Salvador’s mother Jacinta and Pedro insisted it was a “very natural choice” to cast his frequent collaborator.
He added: “It was a like a continuation of the work we were doing in the past. Almost in every movie she plays a mother, but this one is very different from the others. In ‘Volver’, for example she is a contemporary Spanish mother, whereas in this case she plays the mother of a poor family in the early Sixties. It was a very dark, post-war time and she carries the burden of humiliation on her shoulders, but with a spirit of survival.”
And he suggested that 45-year-old Penelope is the only actress he knows who can wear “vintage clothes of that era” but still look “absolutely fabulous”.
He said: “Penelope is the only actress I know who can stand wearing vintage clothes of that era, of poor people at that time, and still look absolutely fabulous. It’s hard for her not to look glamorous.”
Despite the movie’s autobiographical nature, Pedro insists it’s only loosely based on elements of his life as well as the lives of his family and friends.
He said: “Up to the point where I could have done what happened in the film but I didn’t. I was there in each of those three epochs represented, but the things that happen didn’t necessarily happen in that order and not necessarily to me. It comes from reality, but not only my reality. Not only my memories, but those of my sisters, my brother, my friends. I wasn’t holding up a mirror but I was the main reference.”

Samantha Womack put vodka in water on stage

OHMYGOSSIP — Samantha Womack added vodka to her water to “keep things fresh” on stage during ‘The Girl On The Train’.
The 46-year-old actress – who is most famous for playing Ronnie Mitchell in ‘EastEnders’ until leaving the long-running soap in 2017 – has opened up about her role as alcoholic anti-hero Rachel, who believes she witnesses a crime from the window of her train, and admitted she likes to “try all sorts” of techniques to keep the production enjoyable rather than “boring”.
However, Samantha’s decision to drink on stage wasn’t her best idea.
She said: “I try all sorts of things, when you’re doing a long play, we’ve extended this tour twice we’re in West End until Saturday and then were on the road til November.
“There was one time I put vodka in the water but I felt slightly unhinged. Unless it’s to do things I enjoy, to keeps things fresh so it’s not boring…’ ”
The ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ star only has a 10-minute break in the production but doesn’t find it too taxing.
Appearing on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’ on Friday (16.08.19), Samantha added: “There’s just a pee break halfway through because I’m necking vodka, not actually vodka its water, yeah, like a 10-minute break and just back on. The momentum and energy keeps you going.”
Samantha – who has Benjamin, 18 and Lily, 14, with her husband Mark Womack – is often joined by her daughter backstage, and the star revealed she provides a “grounding” influence
She continued: “I’ve got Lily, I home school she’s 14 and she’s in the dressing room most of the time.
‘You know the truth if it is in the midst of the stage she’ll be saying do you want this vegan salad and I’m in the middle of the play. it’s very grounding, very helpful.’

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury still planning to move in together

OHMYGOSSIP — Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury are still planning to move in together.
The ‘Love Island’ runners-up – who became official boyfriend and girlfriend while in the villa – haven’t been able to see each other for a “while” because they’ve both been busy with work but they’re still hoping to find a flat together in the near future.
Speaking on Hits Radio Breakfast with Fleur East, Greg and James, Molly said: “Loads of exciting stuff happening for Tommy and I together and separately, like plans to maybe move in together, I’ve got fashion plans, big clothing things coming out.”
Although time has been limited over the last two weeks, Molly and Tommy have managed to go on a double date with Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard.
She explained: “Tommy and I went on a double date with Maura and Curtis which was really sweet. I think everyone’s just so busy at the moment like couples even struggling to see each other. I know Maura and Curtis have been apart for a while. Me and Tommy were apart for a while, so you know, if I’m not even seeing my boyfriend, it’s unrealistic that you can try and like meet up with everyone, but I know that when things start to calm down, we’ll probably all start trying to meet up and do things together, because I did make some really good friends in there.”
And, although they missed out on the £50,000, Molly and Tommy, both 20, feel like they won anyway because they found each other, which they weren’t expecting.
The social media influencer said: “When Tommy and I came second, we walked off stage together and it sounds a bit cringey but we just looked at each other and we were just like we don’t care. It was a really lovely moment.
“I just looked at him and I just literally felt like I’d already won anyway. I didn’t need to win Love Island to win, because I already found him and that was the prize. I know that sounds dead cringey, but it’s the truth. I think we always say like we did win in our own way. I never, ever expected to go in there and meet him.”
Listen to Hits Radio Breakfast with Fleur East, Greg and James, weekdays from 6am.

Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions to debut August 31

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions’ will debut on screen on August 31.
The talent competition will return to ITV at the end of the month as the six-part series welcomes the most memorable and legendary acts from the past 13 series to go head-to-head in the hope of being crowned the winner-of-winners.
Opera singer Paul Potts – who won the first ever series in 2007 – will be hoping to dazzle the crowd with his vocals once again, while dancer George Sampson, who swiped the winning title in 2008, and double act Stavros Flatley will be in competition.
Collabro and magician Richard Jones will also be taking part, while dancers Twist and Pulse, comedian Lost Voice Guy and reigning champion Colin Thackery are set for a return.
There will also be some international contenders as ‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions’ finalists, including Ukrainian sand artist Kseniya Simonova, will make an appearance.
The judging panel will remain the same with Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon once again reclaiming their seats at the bottom of the stage, while presenting duo Ant and Dec will ensure the smooth running of the show.
Simon, 59, recently took a swipe at some ex-‘BGT’ acts who turned down the chance to compete in forthcoming spin-off as they had the show to thank for their fame.
He said: “We’ve had acts we’ve asked to come back and they’ve said, ‘We don’t want to compete but can we do a guest appearance and plug our tour’. And it’s like, ‘No!’ ”
However, he heaped praise on rollerblading siblings Billy and Emily England, who appeared on the programme in 2015 before getting their own Vegas show, as they had agreed to fly across the pond in order to take part in the The Champions’ final heat at Wembley Arena.
Simon told them: “You’ve come all that way to thank the audience for giving you that chance and you put your lives on the line every time you compete. So I can’t thank you enough.”

Curtis Pritchard thinks he’s the ‘perfect boyfriend’

OHMYGOSSIP — Curtis Pritchard thinks he’s the “perfect boyfriend.”
The ‘Love Island’ star met his girlfriend Maura Higgins while they were competing on the dating show this summer and, although they’ve been forced to spend a lot of time apart since it wrapped two weeks ago, he’ll happily spoil her when they’re together.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Friday (16.08.19), the 23-year-old professional dancer said: “She was tired and I knew she needed some clothes for the morning so I got up early and I ironed her clothes. I just got things ready for her.”
And, although it’s still early days for their relationship, Curtis doesn’t think their long-distance love will cause any trouble for their blossoming romance because the Irish ring girl is planning to move to Manchester or London to be closer to him.
He said recently: “Maura’s hoping to move to England, either London or Manchester, she doesn’t know just yet. But Ireland’s so close, so easy to get to. So we can literally travel back and forwards. I work a lot in Ireland anyway. Maura’s family have welcomed me into their homes, so I’d never have to stay in a hotel.”
Maura recently admitted she isn’t “in love” with Curtis – who has been confirmed as the new receptionist for the next series of ‘The Greatest Dancer – but things are “definitely” getting there.
She insisted the couple are “very happy” and she is looking forward to taking their romance “slow” as they look ahead to finally going on their first proper first date together outside the villa.
She said: “We’re very happy and we’re taking things slow.
“He makes me happy, I make him happy.”
Their relationship hit the headlines last week when Curtis said he wouldn’t “rule out” having a romance with a man in the future but he’s “happy” with how things are at the moment.
He said: “Obviously we’ve spoken about it and we’re both on the same page. We’re more than happy with how we are in our relationship and it’s going in the correct direction.”

Seth Rogen ‘horrified’ to be a mentor

OHMYGOSSIP — Seth Rogen finds it “horrifying” that he’s been regarded as a mentor to the ‘Good Boys’ stars.
The ‘Long Shot’ actor produced the movie and guided the three young lead cast members – Jacob Tremblay, 12, Keith L. Williams, 12, and Brady Noon, 13 – on the ins and outs of comedy.
Speaking to Variety on being a mentor, Seth said: “That’s truly a horrifying thing to hear. I specifically did not try to teach them anything but I would say that’s very nice, very flattering, and maybe a failure on their parents’ part.”
One of the things the cast learned from Seth was improvisation.
On the actor-turned-producer, Brady said: “Seth is such a top-tier actor. Everyone knows who Seth Rogen is. I feel like [improv] is a very important skill in different genres, not just comedy; drama, romance, everything, action.”
Keith continued: “I love improving now. I would say 90% of the movie is improv.”
Seth and fellow producer Evan Goldberg was happy to work with people who “aren’t jaded by years in Hollywood” as it made the movie feel more authentic.
But Seth joked: “It’s nice to think we might be the ones who jade them.”
Although raunchy, the two producers made sure that scenes would make them genuinely laugh as they didn’t want to add swearing for “swearing’s sake” since the actors are still children.
Seth, who is known for his raunchy movies such as ‘Pineapple Express’ and ‘Superbad’, wanted to make sure the kids stayed innocent.
Writer Lee Eisenberg said: “Even as we edited the movie…we had some of that where it just felt kind of unnecessary. It didn’t feel like that was the best version of it. We really wanted the kids to feel really sweet and innocent while we were throwing them into these adult situations.”

Keith Lemon pretended to work in shops

OHMYGOSSIP — Keith Lemon used to go into shops and pretend he worked there.
The 46-year-old funny man – portrayed by Leigh Francis – kicked off his career in comedy by waltzing into stores such as the electrical company Dixons with a makeshift uniform and badge he’d made at home and filmed himself advising customers until staff realised he wasn’t actually employed to work there.
Speaking on next episode of Yahoo’s White Wine Question Time podcast, hosted by Kate Thornton, he said: “I worked at Dixons. I made the uniform that they wear. They wore a blue shirt and I’m pretty handy at doing graphic design, so I made a little badge with my name on. And then I went into Dixons to see how long I could work in Dixons before they realised I don’t work at Dixons.”
Despite his ability to make people laugh, Keith is regularly told he resembles Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall and, although it’s meant as an insult, he loves it.
