Jeremy Clarkson makes major Clarkson’s Farm series 4 admission

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Clarkson has revealed he has started filming for the fourth series of ‘Clarkson’s Farm’.
The former ‘Top Gear’ presenter, 64, is back on screen for the third outing of his hit Amazon Prime TV show – which releases today (03.05.24) – but is already looking to the future and has announced that work on the next lot of episodes is already underway.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, he said: “We’re doing season four now.
“And every single day when we meet for filming, we have a vague idea about what I need to do, but I can guarantee it will change because the weather has changed, or some fence will have fallen down.
“And you never know what you’re going to end up doing. As long as you get content, it doesn’t matter what it is.”
This comes as Jeremy’s right-hand-man, Kaleb Cooper, 25, revealed he would be playing a slightly different role in the forthcoming series.
During an appearance on ITV’s ‘This Morning’, he said: “I’ve got farm manager above my name now.
“To be honest with you, I think I was probably farm manager before I got the promotion. But we’ll skip past that! I’m very grateful for the promotion anyway!”
‘The Grand Tour’ star’s girlfriend Lisa Hogan admitted his “heart” in his Diddly Squat farm is “as much as his head”.
When asked on ‘Lorraine’ if Jeremy would be showing his “softer side” in the upcoming series, Lisa said: “Yes, originally, it was all about thinking how he could manage the farm, and now his heart is in it as much as his head.”
The ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ presenter previously teased a “heartbreaking” moment where his partner broke down in tears after a piglet they helped rear died.
At a launch event, he said: “It was just a heartbreaking time.
“I’d never, ever seen Lisa cry, not once, until all this started and was unfolding. It was terrible.
“It is weird, because you love them and you help birth them and you feed and nurture and care for them. I mean, you don’t say, ‘Let’s buy some pigs and hope they die’.
“I’ve always liked pigs. My mother used to buy me toy pigs every Christmas and birthday into my twenties, and I thought it would be fun to have them – then they all just died in alarming numbers.”

Dame Prue Leith reveals on-set tensions with husband John Playfair: ‘Do what you’re told!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Prue Leith struggled to get her husband to take direction on the set of her new TV show.
The 84-year-old star – who tied the knot with John Playfair in 2016 – has become a regular face on British television screens thanks to her role as a judge on ‘The Great British Bake Off’ but when teaming up with her husband to film her new ITV show ‘Prue Leith’s Cotswold Kitchen’ at home, she had to explain to her significant other that he was not the one in charge.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, she told stand-in host Ranvir Singh: “When we did the first show together John was not listening to what the director said, so I said to him ‘John, you see that girl? She is the director. The clue is in the name, she directs and you do what you’re told!’
“He doesn’t take direction.”
But the former ‘Great British Menu’ judge has “given up” on the idea that her husband may pay attention to direction and actually thinks his spontaneity works because nothing in real life ever goes as smoothly as it is often portrayed on screen.
She said: “I’ve given up on it, he does what he does. And you know what? It works.
“One of the things that is nice about that show, it was on a pretty tight budget and we only had a day for every programme. So we never, ever refilmed anything.
“If I am making a cake and it doesn’t quite work, well just say ‘Oh,well, it doesn’t quite work but never mind, it’ll taste delicious.’ And we just keep going; in real life, you’d never chuck something just because it wouldn’t be perfect in front of the camera.
“You just think ‘Well, it’s cooking, sometimes it doesn’t work!’
“There was one moment where I’m trying to show you how to take a mango skin off of with a glass, it’s a really good hack, but it didn’t quite work. And I asked John to have a go. It worked perfectly!”

Olly Alexander ‘tried not to have a breakdown’ over his Eurovision controversy

OHMYGOSSIP — Olly Alexander “tried not to have a breakdown” over the controversy of him signing up for the Eurovision Song Contest.
The 33-year-old star will represent the UK in the grand final of the annual competition on 11 May with the song ‘Dizzy’ but was pressured by a group called Queers for Palestine to boycott the show altogether over the inclusion of Israel amid their war on Gaza.
Just before joining Eurovision, Olly had signed a petition launched by the LGBTQ+ activist group calling for a ceasefire but remained committed to the contest as he declared that he “believes in the unifying power of music”, although he later “struggled” on the day of the Eurovision Party performance in London in early April.
He told The Times: “Yes, I struggled on that day.
“I was holed up in a room trying not to have a breakdown. Normally, you get on stage and turn it on, but I felt really unable to do that. It was tough.”
The ‘It’s a Sin’ actor noted that a “combination” of things had led to his lacklustre performance on that day as he admitted feeling “ashamed and embarrassed” over the controversy.
He said: “A combination. It has been quite tricky — to say the least. I just could not get it together and then I felt ashamed of myself and embarrassed.”
Olly admitted that he knew some of the other signatories on the Queers for Palestine petition but claimed that no one had been in touch with him and wishes things were “different” but has ultimately decided that things are “so much bigger” than his Eurovision entry.
He said: “I know quite a few and nobody reached out to me. It’s quite tough to receive a letter like that. Obviously there are a lot of things I wish were different. And this is so much bigger than me and Eurovision, it really is. But, obviously, I wish there wasn’t a war or this insane humanitarian crisis. I wish for peace and I have found this experience, at times, extremely …I’ve just felt really sad and distressed.
“But I still believe it’s a good thing when people come together for entertainment. That’s why I wanted to do Eurovision.”

‘It was a real departure’: Chris Hemsworth embraced antagonistic role in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Hemsworth embraced his “departure” from being the hero in ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’.
The 40-year-old star plays antagonist Dementus in the ‘Mad Max’ prequel and loved having the chance to be a villain after portraying Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in several movies.
Chris told Entertainment Weekly: “It was a real departure, and it was nice… I was about to say it was nice not to wear a cape, but… I did have a cape in this film. And it’s red – or it becomes red eventually, as well. The absurdity of that.
“I found a wonderful departure to it – to play the villain, transform, and inhabit a completely different physicality was a lot of fun. I loved it.”
Despite his joy at being the baddie, Chris admits that he felt trepidation before taking the part and lacked the “confidence” that he usually has before working on a major film.
He said: “I don’t really have a handle on the character. And I don’t quite have all the confidence that I would normally have walking into this.”
Hemsworth was able to overcome his fears by writing journal entries as Dementus and thinks that it is beneficial for performers to take on roles that require them to challenge themselves.
The ‘Extraction’ star explained: “I’ve heard people talk about how you want to choose the roles that scare you. And, yeah, it’s sort of an actor-y thing to say.
“But I think it was a good thing. I think it forces you to dig that bit deeper. And the challenges, the adversity – that’s where the growth occurs. I feel like I learned more on this film than anything I’d ever done because of what was asked of all of us and how challenging it was, in a wonderful way.”

Hugh Jackman hints at ‘different’ Wolverine in Deadpool and Wolverine

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman has promised that fans will see “different sides” to Wolverine in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’.
The 55-year-old actor is reprising his role as the superhero in the hotly-anticipated movie and has vowed that there will be changes to the character who was prominent in the ‘X-Men’ franchise.
Speaking to Empire magazine, Hugh said: “There are different sides of Wolverine we haven’t seen before in the movies. It was exciting for me.”
The Australian star also revealed that it felt “so right” to wear his alter ego’s yellow costume for the first time in the picture – which is set for release in July.
Jackman explained: “We almost did it in ‘The Wolverine’.
“But from the moment I put it on here, I was like, ‘How did we never do this?’ It looked so right, it felt so right. I was like, ‘That’s him’.”
Hugh had been told by Marvel chief Kevin Feige not to return as Wolverine after the character’s emotional ending in the 2017 flick ‘Logan’ but decided to join Ryan Reynolds’ wise-cracking Deadpool after going for a long car journey.
He recalled: “I was about an hour into the drive. And that question came into my head: ‘What do I want to do?’ And as soon as I asked the question, I wanted to do ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’. I just knew it.
“I drove for another hour. Couldn’t stop thinking about it. And I got out of the car, called Ryan, and said, ‘Ryan, if you’ll have me, I’m in’.”
Director Shawn Levy has promised that the film will be a “two-hander character adventure” with both heroes rather than just ‘Deadpool 3’.
He told Screen Rant: “As far as crafting the ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ story, I just felt privileged every day because you’re talking about two massive movie stars in their most iconic roles.
“It also gave me an opportunity. It’s the third Deadpool movie, but it’s not ‘Deadpool 3’. It’s a different thing that’s very much Deadpool and Wolverine.
“And it’s not trying to copycat anything from the first two movies. They were awesome, but this is a two-hander character adventure.”

She told the Daily Mirror’s LoveTV Magazine: “God no, we don’t want more kids than we’ve got hands, You need to be able to grab them. We always wanted two and we’ve been blessed with two, a boy and a girl. Although I do miss the newborn phase already but then I don’t miss being woken up every one and a half hours!”
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress – who is giving fans a glimpse into her life with the new UK TV Play show ‘Life Behind the Lens’ – has been engaged to Gorka since Valentine’s Day 2021 but is going to wait “another year or so” before actually walking down the aisle because she wants her youngest to be involved in some way.

Lyon Daniels took inspiration from the Star Wars movies for his role in Spiderwick Chronicles

OHMYGOSSIP — Lyon Daniels took inspiration from the ‘Star Wars’ movies for his role in ‘The Spiderwick Chronicles’.
The 16-year-old actor is starring as Jared in the new series based on the children’s fantasy books by Tony DiTerlizzi but actually turned to a string of classic films in preparation, and wanted to base his portrayal on Darth Vader’s alter-ego from the classic sci-fi franchise.
He told ScreenRant: “Well, my character delves deep into mental health. He has mental health issues, and that’s something that’s very personal and important to me. I really wanted to respect that in my performance. So I tried to be as authentic about it as possible.
“I talked with the showrunner, Aaron, and the writer as well. We avoided certain words and just tried to figure out how to do it in a very natural and coherent way as possible.
“I prepared for it by just watching movies. I watched ‘Donny Darko’, ‘Good Will Hunting’. I pulled from Anakin Skywalker, just kind of trying to get a variety of things to emulate in my performance. I’m so grateful to play a character as complex as Jared, and it was a great learning experience.”
The story was initially adapted into a movie with ‘The Good Doctor’ star Freddie Highmore in 2008 during his years as a child actor but Lyon – who is appearing opposite Christian Slater in this new version – explained that the series has been “attuned” for the current generation.
He said: ” I think ‘Spiderwick’ is kind of attuned for this generation. We touched on mental health and just all these relevant topics that are prevalent today, and I think it definitely taught me so much about mental health and how to grasp with it.
“And I think, honestly, this might sound frivolous, but I think the folklore aspect of the story as well. I mean, we take things like fairies don’t like iron, and fairies can’t lie, and all of these awesome cool little facts and putting them into one world. It’s so awesome.”

Ryan Gosling is ‘not too fond’ of heights but braved ‘150 feet drop’ for The Fall Guy

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Gosling is “not too fond” of heights despite starring in ‘The Fall Guy’.
The 43-year-old actor stars opposite ‘Oppenheimer’ actress Emily Blunt in the new comedy as seasoned movie stuntman Colt Seavers but in real life, he is actually scared of being up a height and still braved a 150-foot drop for the opening scene of the film,.
Ryan’s stunt double Ben Jenkin told Movie Web: “He [Gosling] was so game to do lots of things. The first time I met him, I said to him, ‘Is there anything that makes you uncomfortable, or you don’t want to do?’ And he’s like, ‘Well, I’m not too fond of heights.’ And the opening scene of the movie is dropping him 150 feet. And he did it!
“And he was so game to do it, get his hands dirty and do the stunts.”
But Ben also added that there was a place for him on set, as the ‘Barbie’ star backed out of slightly more dangerous shots and let his string of five stunt doubles take on the more challenging falls, even though he himself has “never been so scared” until this point in his career.
He said: “But there were also times where he was like, ‘I don’t want to get hit by a car. That should be the stunt guy.’ So there’s a time and a place for everything. He was great. And we try to really do the biggest, coolest, most exciting stunts. And that’s a team effort…. I mean, there were five stunt people to make one Colt Seavers, one ‘Fall Guy’.
“We do the biggest, coolest, craziest stunt gags you can imagine. I haven’t done anything as cool and as crazy and as complex. And I’ve never been so scared doing stunts. We just we went big. We kept it safe, but we went big.”

“And I felt really cared for and supported on this movie.
“I knew that whatever I was doing, Nick was there with me, step for step.
“It was just a really beautiful, very vulnerable experience but we always kept it light with each other.
“We were allowed to make mistakes with each other.
“Nothing had to be perfect. It wasn’t tense in that way.”
The ‘Princess Diaries’ actress – who has Jonathan, eight, and Jack, four, with husband Adam Shulman – starred in a lot of rom-coms when she was younger and admitted she reached a point where she was worried she was no longer being considered for such projects.
She said: “In my 20s, I had received a lot of romantic scripts and then in my 30s, I was so focused on my family life and motherhood and trying to find whatever my path was going to be as an actress while having this really rich personal life, I didn’t notice that I hadn’t been sent a romantic script in a really long time.
“A part of me did ask the question, ‘Where have all these stories gotten? When do they stop and why?’
“When this found its way to me, it was such a beautiful character in such an amazing world.”

Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith reveal why it is the ‘right time’ to end Inside No. 9

OHMYGOSSIP — Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith think it is the “right time” to end ‘Inside No. 9’ .
The double act has starred in the black comedy anthology show since 2014 but both of them have “no doubt” that the ninth series is the best time to draw things to a close even though it will be “hard” to film the last episode.
Steve told the Daily Mirror’s Love TV Magazine: “We’re not treating it too differently to any of the series really – it’s always manic! People keep asking us how we feel, but we’re just focusing on making this. I think filming the last episode will be hard. We feel really lucky to have got to nine. We don’t have any doubts that it’s the right time to leave it while people are still enjoying it and finding it surprising. The moment a show becomes predictable, it’s dead for us.”
The former ‘Benidorm’ actor, 56, even revealed that they thought an episode about the supposed ‘Curse of the Ninth’ would be “thematically good” for this series, but is just hopeful that neither he nor his co-star actually succumb to it.
He said: “We’ve been talking about one episode called ‘The Curse Of The Ninth’ for a long time – it’s about a superstition in classical music that once you’ve composed your ninth symphony, you’re going to die. We thought it was good thematically to save this one for the ninth series – hopefully we won’t drop dead next week!”
Meanwhile, Reece admitted that neither of them knew they would end up doing the show for a decade and have incorporated a a “lifetime of ideas” into the series over the years.
He said: “We didn’t know we’d be doing it for 10 years.”
Every series was a surprise to us. We’ve done so many different things – a lifetime of ideas. We just wish it was Inside No 2, then we’d have been done years ago!”

James Corden and Ruth Jones turned down ‘tempting’ offer from Netflix for Gavin and Stacey

OHMYGOSSIP — James Corden and Ruth Jones turned down a “tempting” offer from Netflix for the ‘Gavin and Stacey’ comeback.
The 45-year-old actor penned the BBC Three sitcom with his former ‘Fat Friends’ co-star and it was recently announced that the show will make a long-awaited return to screens as a Christmas special but insiders have now claimed that even though the writing duo had “conversations” with the streaming giant before deciding that it “belonged” to its original broadcaster.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s TVBiz column: “They held conversations with Netflix who threw everything at them to land what is seen as a gem of British comedy.
“James, Ruth and the team were effectively offered a multi-million pound one-off deal, and were promised it would open the show up to a whole new international audience.
“Obviously it was tempting, but they felt ‘Gavin and Stacey’ belonged to the BBC — and the nation, really.
“The optics wouldn’t have been great had they ‘sold out’ so they went with their hearts, not the cash.”
The show – which also stars ‘Loose Women’ panellist Joanna Page, former ‘Catherine Tate Show’ actor Mathew Horne alongside TV legends Alison Steadman and Larry Lamb – initially ran from 2007 until 2010 and was last seen in 2019 for a festive one-off but will be back on the box once more for the last episode dubbed ‘Gavin and Stacey: The Finale’.
Taking to Instagram, James wrote: “It’s official! We have finished writing the last ever episode of ‘Gavin and Stacey’.
“See you on Christmas Day, BBC One. Love Ruth and James (sic).”
The news came shortly after it was rumored that the show was making a comeback, but Ruth theorized that the story had come to fruition after she had been spotted with James in the UK after he finished his stint as the host for ‘The Late Late Show’.
She told RTE Radio 1: “Then the next thing is, ‘Oh my god they must be writing more ‘Gavin and Stacey’, which is lovely.
“It’s lovely that people are so desperate for it because imagine if it was the opposite and were like, ‘Oh, god, you’re not bringing that back again.’”

Bear has said about the show: “I drop 12 celebrities in the middle of the jungle and I get like 20-odd days to track them down. What can possibly go wrong?”

George Gilbey’s mum reveals tragic star’s final words

OHMYGOSSIP — George Gilbey told his mum “I love you” in a final phone call hours before he plunged to his death.
Linda McGarry has revealed the 40-year-old ‘Gogglebox’ star rang her for a chat shortly before he fell 80 feet from a warehouse roof he was working on in Shoebury, Essex, on 27 March and he ended it with the poignant words she says will remember forever.
She told The Sun newspaper: “He phoned me at 9.30 on the morning and said he was working… he seemed fine… [he] was happy that he was working. He ended the phone call by saying, ‘I love you’ like he usually did. I treasure those words.”
Linda went on to reveal George took the job fixing a roof at EGL Homecare’s warehouse to make some extra money so he could move closer to his daughter Amelie, who lives with her mum Gemma Conway in South West London.
Linda explained: “George was trying to get money together to get a room. He was going to rent from his friend, Skippy, near to Amelie in Twickenham.
“George was on great terms with Gemma and wanted to do things like pick Amelie up from school.
“He wanted to be with Amelie, who he adored. They were on the third day of a job that was going to last a month, and he was going to get money together from that.”
Earlier this month, an inquest was told George died from traumatic head and torso injuries following the fall. The hearing was suspended following a request from the Essex Police, pending the outcome of a criminal investigation. Proceedings have been adjourned for four months as a result.
A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter relating to the star’s passing, but he has since been released by police under investigation.
George first appeared in ‘Gogglebox’ in 2013’s second series, but he left the show a year later to enter ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, on which he finished fourth.

Nicole Kidman has no plans to direct

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Kidman has no plans to turn her hand to directing.
The 56-year-old actress has taken on the role of producer for many of her projects over the years, but she’s admitted she won’t go one step further and try helming a movie as the job involves making a lot of “choices” and that’s not her “strong suit”.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “I feel like I would be a terrible director because I always have so many ideas. A director has to make choices, and that’s not my strong suit.
“I’m very good at being passionate and supporting the voices and reading a script and going ‘I love this script,’ or seeing somebody and going, ‘I love this actor, I love this director, how do I support them?’
“And they maybe have done nothing [before], but I want to get behind them. That’s what I love doing; it excites me, and it really makes me happy. I love shining the light on other people or helping to do that.”
Nicole was honoured with the AFI Life Achievement Award at a glitzy gala in Los Angeles over the weekend, and during the ceremony she insisted she wants to help the next generation of talent come through.
She told the audience at the Dolby Theatre: “There’s so many more exciting young directors and voices that are completely original and need to be heard, and they have a lot to say.
“We need to give them a chance to say it and to hear them, and I am here, I am ready to roll up my sleeves. I am here always to support those voices.”
The AFI Life Achievement Award is defined as being given to anyone whose acting career has “greatly contributed to the enrichment of American Culture” and Nicole admitted she was thrilled to be able to bring her husband Keith Urban, 56, and their daughters Sunday, 15, and Faith, 13, along to the event.
“It’s beautiful to have a family to be able to go and want to share this with you, because you don’t get to do that. A lot of the times, if you get invited to the Academy Awards, you get one ticket extra. “So the idea of being able to have your family come to something like this is really exciting.”
Nicole also took her niece Sybella Hawley, sister Antonia Kidman and her brother-in-law Craig Marran along to the event.

Anne Hathaway worked with choreographer for ‘weeks’ to obtain her Catwoman ‘swagger’

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne Hathaway worked with a choreographer for weeks to obtain her Catwoman “swagger” in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’.
The 41-year-old actress played the superhero alongside Christian Bale, 50, as Batman in Christopher Nolan’s 2012 blockbuster, and has now admitted she needed help getting the character’s gait right as she felt so disconnected from her body.
She told The New York Times: “I worked with a choreographer for three weeks to find that swagger.
“Because – oh, this is going to sound like a weird sentence – I wasn’t connected enough to my hips.
“I kept imagining a cat’s movement and the way it’s fluid and swishy but also strong and purposeful, and they helped me find my hips.
“I didn’t feel connected to my body early in my life. It was this weird thing.”
When asked why she didn’t feel “connected” to herself, Anne said: “I mean, it would take me 41 years to answer that. It’s so many things, but I think it’s just assumed that we have a relationship with our body.”
She also said about how she is trying to move away from her “nice girl” image: “I think I’m a former people pleaser from New Jersey. So much of the reason I was drawn to acting is that it was an outlet for expression that I could not find on my own.
“And in the space between feeling so connected when I was acting and so lost when I wasn’t, you try to make your way, and one of the ways that you make your way is, ‘Oh, if I do this, that will make someone else happy, and maybe that’s what I’m supposed to be doing.’
“It takes a long time to go, ‘That doesn’t really matter if you don’t know who you are.’
“Unless you just want an identity that’s all about pleasing people. Which I suppose is perfectly valid. But I’m not that nice.”
