Strictly’s Nadiya Bychkova and Kai Widdrington ‘split after 2 blissful years together’

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ stars Nadiya Bychkova and Kai Widdrington have split up after two years of dating.
The professional dancers became an item in 2022, but after two “blissful” years together the former couple have waltzed away from one another after they “grew apart”.
A friend told The Sun newspaper: “It’s heart-breaking.
“Kai and Nadiya seemed like the most perfect couple and have been so, so blissfully in love.”
Despite their break up, the pair are said to still be “incredibly close” and will not let their split have “any impact” on this year’s ‘Strictly’ series.
The friend added: “After a tough few weeks, they sat down together and decided to call it quits.
“They remain incredibly close and are determined their split will not have any impact on the next series of ‘Strictly’ – they remain consummate professionals, and nothing will change that.”
Last year, Kai, 27, told how he found Nadiya, 33, “drop-dead gorgeous”.
He told the publication at the time: “I think I speak for most of the men in Britain when I say that they would find Nadiya absolutely drop-dead gorgeous – and I still have to pinch myself sometimes.”
Kai also admitted he and Nadiya tried to keep their romance a secret for as long as possible, but they let ‘Strictly’ bosses know about their relationship “as a professional courtesy”.
He explained: “We knew that it would come out and that it would be a big thing, so we kept it private for as long as we could, which was both annoying and exciting at the same time.
“It was one of those things. We would go somewhere and only we knew we were there.
“Sometimes we would go out in disguise, or baseball caps pulled down low, etc, and we knew this period of time was only going to last a little bit
“We did let our bosses know as a professional courtesy, that was our decision.”
Earlier this year, ‘Strictly’ confirmed their pro dancer line up for this year, which included both Nadiya and Kai.
At the time, it also included Graziano Di Prima, who has since been axed from the show amid reports of alleged misconduct relating to how he treated his 2023 dance partner Zara McDermott.

Champions Full Gallop star Bryony Frost teases ‘goosebump’ moments in new ITV horse racing show

OHMYGOSSIP — Jockey Bryony Frost has told how viewers will get the chance to see how much horses are “idolised” by those within the racing community on new ITV series ‘Champions: Full Gallop’.
The upcoming docuseries – which will make its debut on Friday (19.07.24) – will follow the huge highs and nerve-wracking lows of the jumps horse racing world, and 29-year-old Bryony admitted it will give people an insight into why jockeys, as well as horse racing trainers and owners, are part of their beloved sport.
Speaking at the ‘Champions: Full Gallop’ premiere at London’s BAFTA, she said: “You live for the memories, you live for the buzz, you live for the moment that you get goosebumps.
“These horses supply that with you on a daily basis.
“People say, ‘You’re mad.’ You have these big falls. You get broken all the time.
“There are more down days than there are good days, and you get beat a hell of a lot more than you get winning.
“But those moments where your hair stands up on end because of them [the horses], is the reason why we do it.”
When asked if she would return for a second series, she said: “Yes. Like we keep stressing, the importance of our sport and the future within it, we have to open up.
“They have to get down to the bones of why we do it and the characters within it.
“The horses are at the top of the pyramid, they are why we are here, they are why we compete. We idolise them.
“They are fundamentally important to our lives, and to be able to express that and show that … these horses, the fan bases they have, people follow their careers and they connect to them.”
Bryony and fellow jockey Harry Cobden feature in the docuseries, as does champion horse racing trainer Paul Nicholls and ITV Racing’s Ed Chamberlain, among many others.
Ed admitted it is “really exciting” for the show to have a prime-time slot in the schedule.
Speaking to radio presenter Vernon Kay – whose wife is ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ host Tess Daly – at a Q + A to launch the series, he said: “Nine o’clock on a Friday is Tess Daly and Ant and Dec time.
“To have racing at 9pm it’s really exciting, and hopefully people will enjoy it.”
Nicholls added: “We need to get to a new audience, but we also need promote ourselves, and this is a big way of doing it.”
The first episode of ‘Champions: Full Gallop’ airs on ITV1 at 9pm on Friday (19.07.24).

Channing Tatum won’t reveal dark place he went to for Blink Twice character

OHMYGOSSIP — Channing Tatum won’t tell anybody about the dark place he went to for his ‘Blink Twice’ role.
The ’21 Jump Street’ star took on the role of tech billionaire Slater King in his fiancée Zoë Kravitz’s mystery thriller – which marks her directorial debut – and he admitted the character was a long way out of his comfort zone.
He told Total Film: “It’s the first time I’ve ever played anyone [like this]. Every character I play, I usually have some sort of love for or a connection to.”
However, that wasn’t possible for King, and Tatum had to push himself to get into the role.
He added: “I don’t think I’ll ever tell anybody what I had to create inside my head to play this person. He’s a psychopath.”
The film – which was co-written by Kravitz and E.T. Feigenbaum – follows King and his followers on a privately owned island paradise.
He comes into contact with cocktail waitress Frida (Naomi Ackie) at his fundraising gala, and asks her to join him and his friends on the island.
But things take a dark turn as strange things start to happen, and Frida is left questioning her own reality.
Kravitz explained how the characters being in an unfamiliar place was vital to establish real drama and isolation.
She said: “It was really more about power dynamics. And trying to create a situation where the characters were isolated.
“That, in my mind, is the scariest situation you could be in – whether you’re trapped in the back of a car, in a closet, or in a dark room at a party.
“À la ‘Lord of the Flies’, I was trying to find an environment where the characters had to stay and deal with the crumbling of the power dynamics.”

‘Tom Cruise is writing stories for Tom Cruise’: Manny Jacinto wasn’t shocked by Top Gun snub

OHMYGOSSIP — Manny Jacinto wasn’t shocked all his lines got cut from ‘Top Gun: Maverick’.
The actor – who is currently playing Sith master Qimir in ‘Star Wars’ series ‘The Acolyte’ – was cast as Lieutenant Billy ‘Fritz’ Avalone, but fans were furious when his dialogue got left on the cutting room floor for the highly anticipated sequel to the 1986 classic.
He told GQ UK magazine: “It’s flattering that there was a little bit of an outcry, but it wasn’t shocking to me.
“There was this sense of where the film was going [on set], like I can see them focusing the camera more on these [other] guys and not taking so much time on our scenes.
“Fortunately, it still was a great experience — you get to see this huge machine at work, see how Tom Cruise works, and you get to be a small part of this huge franchise.”
Despite trying to focus on the positives, Jacinto acknowledged that he was motivated by the disappointment of his reduced role in the final version of the film.
He pointed out that as “Tom Cruise is writing stories for Tom Cruise”, it’s important for “people of colour” to improve representation by writing their own blockbusters.
He added: “It kind of fuels you, because at the end of the day, Tom Cruise is writing stories for Tom Cruise.
“It’s up to us — Asian Americans, people of colour — to be that [for ourselves]. We can’t wait for somebody else to do it.
“If we want bigger stories out there, we have to make them for ourselves.”
It was diappointing for Jacinto, who has gushed about getting to represent Filipino people in the film just before its release in 2022.
He told TFC at the time: “It’s an incredible feeling because even throughout shooting, we were able to meet a good amount of people in the Navy, people in the Air Force, and a good amount of them are Filipino.
“And to be able to represent that for them and have their face kind of represented, meant a lot.”

Disney frontrunners to land Gareth Southgate documentary following England resignation

OHMYGOSSIP — Streaming services are in competition over the chance to land the rights to a Gareth Southgate documentary.
Southgate led England to a second successive European Championship final this summer, but the Three Lions lost 2-1 to Spain and the 53-year-old football manager resigned earlier this week.
Disney+ are thought to be frontrunners to land the documentary, and Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are also expected to be in contention.
A TV insider told The Sun newspaper: “Disney+ might not seem like the obvious choice, but they’re an organisation with huge amounts of money, not to mention a truly global platform as Gareth starts the next chapter of his career.
“It just depends what he has planned after quitting as England manager.
“Will he want to nurture a career in the media, take time away from the limelight or get back into football management at some level?
“Either way, the biggest TV names will be buzzing round him with big-money offers — and Disney is likely to be the biggest.”
Disney+ is no stranger to football documentaries.
It is the current home of ‘Welcome to Wrexham’, which has told the story of Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s takeover and subsequent success at the Welsh club.
Following Southgate’s resignation, Prince William praised the ex-England manager as a “class act”.
William wrote on X: “Gareth, I want to thank you – not as the President of the FA, but as an @England fan.
“Thank you for creating a team that stands shoulder to shoulder with the world’s finest in 2024.
“Thank you for showing humility, compassion, and true leadership under the most intense pressure and scrutiny. And thank you for being an all-round class act.
“You should be incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved. W.”

Greg Rutherford open to making Dancing on Ice return after horror injury forced him off the show

OHMYGOSSIP — Greg Rutherford is up for returning to ‘Dancing on Ice’ after a shock accident forced him off the programme earlier this year.
The former Olympic long jumper, 37, had to drop out of the ITV show’s final in March after he landed on the ice and tore his abdominal muscles during rehearsals, but he has “unfinished business” on the series.
He is quoted by The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column as saying: “There is a bit of unfinished business – and I would do it again.
“I don’t think I’d do the dance where I got hurt, it would have to be a Bolero. I do still talk to [skate partner] Vanessa Bauer loads as we became good friends, and I genuinely loved the show. Of all the shows I’ve been in, that was my favourite to do.
“But detaching my lower abs, herniating my stomach, it’s not what I expected when I signed up for the show, though it does demonstrate the level of risk involved.
“I love to push my body, I do love a challenge, but whether it happens or not, I don’t know.”
Before he had surgery for his injury, Greg revealed he had “effectively given [himself] a C-section” when he attempted to jump through the legs of pro ice-skaters Brendyn Hatfield and Colin Grafton.
On a post to his Instagram Story, he said: “Loads of people have been asking, ‘What happened?’
“I’ve been a bit busy and obviously just recovering from the initial injury before I had the surgery that I hadn’t got round to really talking about it.
“Long story short, I leapt through the legs of Brendyn and Colin and managed to tear all of my abs as well as herniate. So I effectively gave myself a C-section.
“So yes, it was horribly painful. It needs to be operated on today and then I’ll be properly on the mend. It was very painful, pretty horrible.”

Ruth Wilson to narrate His Dark Materials audiobook series

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Wilson is to narrate an audiobook series of ‘His Dark Materials’.
Produced and published by Penguin Audio, the ‘Luther’ star, 42 – who played the evil Mrs. Coulter in the BBC’s TV adaptation of Philip Pullman’s books – promises to whisk listeners away into the world of the award-winning author’s trilogy of fantasy novels, including ’Northern Lights’, ‘The Subtle Knife’ and ‘The Amber Spyglass’.
In a statement, she said: “I fell in love with Philip’s world of ‘His Dark Materials’ when I first read the books: they’re so complex in their themes and playing Mrs. Coulter on screen allowed me to explore themes deeper than just her villainy: narcissism, freedom, motherhood, imagination.
“Having the opportunity to narrate this series of audiobooks and delve further into Philip’s profoundly intricate world was an honour and a pleasure.”
The books follow the coming-of-age of two youngsters, Lyra Belacqua and Will Parry, as they venture and battle their way through a series of parallel universes.
Pullman praised ‘The Affair’ actress for her performance as Mrs. Coulter in the BBC programme, and added he was “very lucky” to have her involved in both the TV and audiobook adaptations of his work.
He said: “I was delighted when I learned that Ruth Wilson was going to narrate the new audio edition of ‘His Dark Materials’.
I enjoyed her TV performance so much, and I learned from that – and from talking to her separately – how much thought she puts into every characterisation.
“Her voice is naturally rich and attractive, and she can vary it with the tiniest possible intonation here or emphasis there and make the story live as vividly in the ear of the listener as I hoped it would have in the eye of the reader.
“I count myself very lucky that she was involved in both TV and audio.”
As well as providing the narration for the audiobooks, Wilson and Pullman recorded a sit-down chat about the novels, which will be featured in the upcoming version of ‘The Amber Spyglass’.
These new unabridged editions of ‘His Dark Materials’ will be available at the same time as the original recordings, which featured a full cast.
‘Northern Lights’ publishes on 5th September, with the next two books coming in early 2025. All audiobooks can be pre-ordered https://linktr.ee/hdmaudiobooks.

Kate Garraway ‘supporting family after dad suffered suspected stroke and heart attack’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Garraway is reportedly supporting her family after her father suffered a suspected stroke and heart attack.
The 57-year-old presenter, 57, was left devastated in January when her husband Derek Draper died aged 56 nearly four years after he was stricken with Covid, and is now said to have rushed out of fronting ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’ when it finished shooting on Tuesday (16.07.24) to support her dad Gordon after apparently being told he had collapsed.
A source told The Sun on Thursday (18.07.24): “Very sadly, Kate’s father collapsed earlier this week while staying, along with her mum and her brother in Cornwall.
“It was incredibly frightening as he was found unconscious and immediately taken to hospital.
“It seems likely that he’s had a stroke and possibly a heart attack as well – doctors are still doing tests.
“He remains in hospital and is currently stable but, understandably, it’s given the whole family a terrible scare and they are praying he can recover.”
The insider added Kate had been due to be off air for a few weeks so can divide her time between the hospital and caring for her children Darcey, 17, and Billy, 14, who she had with former political strategist and psychotherapist Derek.
They also said that it is a “stressful” time for the family but Kate is doing her best to “look after everyone”.
Derek one of the worst affected patients hit by Covid in the UK, with the virus devastating every organ in his body.
He married Kate in 2005 and he was only able to leave hospital in 2021 – more than a year after he contracted Covid – but had to be given round-the-clock care and have his family home adapted so he could sleep on the ground floor while Kate tended to him as he fought to recover.

Coronation Street’s special Paul Foreman MND episode

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’ will air an episode devoted entirely to a day in the life of MND sufferer Paul Foreman.
The episode which will be broadcast on ITV at 8pm on Friday July 26th will be dedicated to the memory of Rugby League legend Rob Burrow who died from Motor Neurone Disease last month and will be shown entirely from Paul’s perspective, with a voiceover from Peter Ash.
The episode will follow Paul and partner Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) as they enjoy a special day together, knowing each moment could be their last.
Producer Verity MacLeod said: “Paul’s MND has been such an important, powerful story and this episode is one of the real pinnacle moments in Paul’s journey. ‘Coronation Street’ has never done anything like this before, it is extraordinary, heartbreaking, funny and beautiful. Must see television at its best!
“One thing we were keen to show in this episode is that due to motor neurone disease Paul’s speech has now deteriorated to the point where he is unable to speak to his loved ones unaided by technology, that while brilliant, can be slow and restrictive. However, Paul’s brain is still completely active, his personality hasn’t changed. He still has a wicked sense of humour and is the quick witted cheeky chappy we first met in 2018. To portray this we took the bold step of hearing Paul’s internal monologue and the viewers get to enjoy Paul’s thoughts without the encumbrance of MND. It’s a unique insight into the struggles Paul faces.
“The acting from all of the cast is superb but especially Peter Ash and Dan Brocklebank. They are truly spectacular. The directing from Vicky Thomas and the writing by Debbie Oates is stunning. It is an incredible episode that we are all so proud of.”
Peter said: “I feel incredibly proud to have worked on this episode. From the moment I read the script I knew it was going to be something really special (mostly because I couldn’t stop crying!) I loved being able to record Paul’s inner thoughts, showing us the mind is still 100 per cent, even with MND. I hope the audience enjoys it, as everyone involved gave their all!”
And Daniel – who lost his grandfather to MND and is an Ambassador of the MND Association – added: “There were times I burst into tears on set during the filming of this episode. There was one day I got in the car after work, and I just wept. Pete and I have been living in an emotional state for a while now with this storyline, and obviously because we have played it out in real time. Seeing Pete in that condition is so emotional to play. Pete’s performance and his attention to detail has been incredible, I’m hoping that he wins all the awards, he deserves it so much.”

Strictly’s Graziano Di Prima ‘apologised for kicking Zara McDermott’

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star Graziano Di Prima apologised for kicking his former dance partner Zara McDermott during rehearsals.
The professional dancer was axed from the BBC show earlier this month amid allegations his mistreated his 2023 celebrity partner Zara and reports suggest he was let go just hours after BBC bosses were shown a video which is said to have shown him kicking the former ‘Love Island’ star.
Now Graziano’s representative has insisted the dancer knows he “made a mistake” and “apologised” to Zara after the incident.
Mark Borkowski told BBC News: “There is never a time when kicking, or any sense of that is right. And he knows that. He knows he’s made a mistake. He apologised at the time.”
After he was dropped from the show, Graziano expressed his regrets in a statement post on Instagram. He wrote: “I deeply regret the events that led to my departure from ‘Strictly’.
“My intense passion and determination to win might have affected my training regime. Respecting the BBC HR process, I understand it’s best for the show that I step away.
“While there are aspects of this story involving external influences that I can’t discuss at this time, I remain committed to being strong for my family and friends.
“I wish the ‘Strictly’ family and the BBC nothing but success in the future. I also want to thank everyone who has supported my career, both professionally and personally. When the time is right, I will share my story.”
The news followed the confirmation fellow professional dancer Giovanni Pernice will also not be returning to the programme amid allegations about his treatment of his celebrity dance partners.
Giovanni has previously rejected “any suggestion of abusive or threatening behaviour” and said he was surprised by the allegations made against him.
BBC bosses didn’t comment on the allegations against Graziano but said they were aware of their duty of care. A spokesperson said: “We can confirm that Graziano Di Prima is no longer a part of the line-up of professional dancers for the upcoming series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
“While we would never comment on individual cases, it is well-known that the BBC has established robust duty of care procedures, and if issues are raised we will always take them seriously and act swiftly as appropriate.”
Zara previously addressed the furore in her own statement. She wrote on Instagram: “So much of my ‘Strictly’ experience was everything I could have dreamt of. The entire production team and everyone behind the scenes as well as my fellow contestants were so amazing to worth with.
“However, my experience inside the training room was very different.
“Reports have been made about my treatment on the show and there were witnesses to some events, as well as videos of particular incidents which are incredibly distressing to watch. I have wrestled with the fear of opening up – I was scared about public backlash, I was scared about my future, I was scared of victim shaming.
“But after a lot of conversations with those I love, I’ve gained the strength to face these fears, and when I was asked to speak to the BBC, I spoke candidly about my time on the show.
“The culture within our society makes it difficult for people to speak up, especially in a world where social media opinions and voices are so loud. “This is something I’ve seen through working with countless women on my documentaries.”
Zara concluded her post by thanking the BBC for their “swift action and incredibly high level of support”.
She added: “I would like to thank the BBC and BBC Studios for their swift action and incredibly high level of support, as well as everyone who has reached out to me – it really truly means a lot.”

Casey Affleck regrets disrespectful awards season conduct

OHMYGOSSIP — Casey Affleck regrets being disrespectful about awards season.
The 48-year-old actor received a number of award nominations, including Oscars, the Golden Globes, and Screen Actors Guild, for his role in 2007’s ‘The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford’ and he admitted he wishes he had taken it more seriously.
Speaking on The Hollywood Reporter‘s ‘It Happened in Hollywood’ podcast, he said: “I was chewing gum at some award show and people said, ‘Who does this little punk think he is? Like he’s on camera chewing gum at the SAG Awards.’ And that I wasn’t taking it seriously enough. … I see now that I could have been more respectful because it does mean something.
“It means something to be acknowledged by your peers, who are a group of hardworking, very talented people. By and large, our community is really, really great people. That was our office Christmas party. Those are our industry celebrations, and I guess I could have been more deferential and respectful and not chewed gum or done the campaigning or something.”
Casey claims his rudeness was because he had a new baby at home – son Atticus who was born in January 2008 – and he didn’t want to be away from him.
The actor – who also has daughter Indiana, 20, with ex-wife Summer Phoenix – said he was reluctant to “put on a suit and be on a TV show where you’re a contestant for something. … So the stress outweighed the pleasure and it outweighed my desire to be there. I wanted to be home with my new baby.”
Casey later won an Oscar and Golden Globe for his work in 2016’s ‘Manchester by the Sea’.
He said: “Whatever cynicism I might have had, boy, it melts away pretty quickly when you’re standing up there, and you look out at people who you’ve admired for a long time and whose work you’ve watched since you were young and you see their face looking back at you.”

Christopher Reeve’s son ‘nervous’ over Superman cameo

OHMYGOSSIP — Christopher Reeve’s son Will Reeves was “nervous” about making a cameo appearance in James Gunn’s new ‘Superman’ movie.
Will – who works as a correspondent for ABC News – was invited to play a small role in the new superhero film 46 years after his dad first donned the cape to play the Man of Steel and the 32-year-old reporter admitted he was more worried about delivering his one line than any of his previous TV gigs.
He told TMZ.com: “I know the folks making the film, and they’ve been so kind to me and my family, and I had a free day, so we made it [happen].
“I don’t know what I’m allowed to say. It was a really great experience; they were super friendly; it was quick, easy …
“I was actually more nervous doing that than I am whenever I’m on TV for my normal job because there was so many people around and I had to memorise one line, but still!”
No further details are known about Will’s cameo but rumours suggest he will be playing a TV reporter. Christopher Reeve played Superman in four films and also made a cameo appearance in spin-off TV series ‘Smallville’. He died in 2004 almost a decade after he was paralysed in a horse-riding accident.
Writer/director James Gunn recently admitted his new ‘Superman’ movie is “getting close” to being finished following a six week shoot in Cleveland, Ohio.
He clarified on Threads: “We are not done shooting. Still a couple weeks left. Just done shooting in Cleveland.
“And yeah it’s a long shoot … but we’re getting close!!”
The film stars David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, while Rachel Brosnahan has been cast as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult will play Lex Luther.
Gunn expressed his gratitude for the city of Cleveland, hailing it a “special place”.
He wrote: “Cleveland – today we are leaving you after six amazing weeks of shooting. From the moment we first came here on a scout a tad less than a year ago and Terminal Tower was lit up with the colours of Superman, I knew you were a special place.
“I would walk down your streets and someone would stop me and tell me how grateful they were we were shooting in their city – not once, not twice, but dozens of times.”
He also heaped praise on the “wonderful background actors” for helping remind him why he loves making moves. He continued: “The wonderful background actors on the film were always so fun and funny and they clapped after takes, something that reminded us Hollywood cynics why we make movies in the first place.
“The pride you feel in being where Jerry and Joey first created Superman was invigorating. You exemplify his spirit.
“But just as much it’s the pride you have in your community, your hometown, your radio stations and restaurants and gatherine places that touched me. “Every city would be so lucky to have people that loved their city as much as you. You simply couldn’t have been more wonderful, kind, or accomdating to me and our performers and crew.”

Liza Minnelli for Midsomer Murders?

OHMYGOSSIP — Neil Dudgeon wants Liza Minnelli to guest star in ‘Midsomer Murders’.
The 63-year-old actor- who stars as DCI John Barnaby in the ITV crime series – would love to see the celebrated American singer and actress land a cameo on the show.
He told TV Times: “Well if I could have anybody, I’d probably go for Liza Minnelli.
“I took my mum once to see her at the Royal Albert Hall in London and she was just sensational!
“She could play a fabulous musical diva who retired to a little village in Midsomer for a quiet life, little expecting that things are going to get terribly exciting with lots of murders!”
The long-running series returned to screens this week and includes a guest appearance from ‘Oppenheimer’ star Tom Conti, as Challis Court resident Sebastian Cabot.
Neil shared: “It’s a great episode, you’ve got this young couple who are a celebrity baking sensation and they’ve recently moved to Midsomer.
“But the traditional villagers don’t like it, which causes tension.
“On top of that, things that happened many years ago come back with plenty of repercussions.
‘Midsomer Murders’ launched in 1997 and when asked what he thinks is the recipe its success, Neil said: “It’s wonderful that people love it so much. I think it’s partly down to its longevity and all the eccentricities and the terrible murders!”

Christine McGuinness wants to find love but ‘won’t marry again’

OHMYGOSSIP — Christine McGuinness is ready to find love again following the end of her 11-year marriage to Paddy McGuinness.
The 36-year-old model and presenter has no plans to walk down the aisle a second time but says being in a relationship is an “amazing, magical thing to have in your life” and she would be open to finding someone special.
Speaking to Closer, she explained: “Anyone that I’ve ever dated or had a relationship with – even in my teenage years – I was friends with them first, and then it developed into a relationship, and that was the situation with my ex-husband. We knew each other for a while beforehand.
“However, this is the first time I’ve been completely on my own, and I’ve got time for myself, and that time is limited. I don’t know if I could offer enough to somebody to be in a relationship right now, and it’s not that I don’t want to.
“I know that I deserve love, and I love love, and think being around someone intimately, and laughing and enjoying adult company is an amazing, magical thing to have in your life if you’ve got it.
“I think [getting married again] is something I would definitely rule out. I’ve done that, I had the big white wedding, and I was married for 15 years.
“It’s not something I’m in any rush to do. I only want to get married once, and I’ve done that. If I get love again in my life, I’ll be really happy with that – I don’t need anything more.”
However, Christine isn’t sure if she has the time for a new relationship as she is busy caring for her three children and working.
She added: “I think love is a blessing and you should count that blessing, but I don’t feel I could give enough to somebody for that to be a relationship, because I’m at home with my three children most of the time, and if I’m not at home – I’m at work, or a charity event.”

Paul Chuckle stunned to meet ‘doppelganger’

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Chuckle was left stunned when he met his “doppelganger”.
The 76-year-old former children’s TV entertainer, 76, lost his lookalike ‘ChuckleVision’ co-star brother Barry in 2018 aged 73 after he was diagnosed with bone cancer, and was overjoyed to meet a fan who is his spitting image.
The Sun reported bus driver John Simpson shares the same spiky hair and bushy moustache as the comic, and said Paul has dubbed him ‘Chuckles’.
For years the driver has been stopped by fans of the Chuckle brothers’ hit ‘ChuckleVision’ show to ask for selfies and passengers constantly joke about his likeness to Paul.
The pair have now finally met after he and Paul – who now works as a DJ – met at the Fishburn Live music festival in June.
John, 58, was standing in the crowd when fans asked him when he would take to the stage, and he told The Sun: “It was brilliant. Security spotted me and pulled me backstage.
“I’d even bought the psychedelic shirts to play the part.”
Paul joked when they met: “This is how I am supposed to look. Oh my, maybe you are my doppelganger.”
He added he knew about John after posts went viral thanks to the pair’s likeness.
John, from County Durham, added comic Bernie Clifton, 88, was left so convinced he was Paul he invited him backstage after mistaking him for his old friend.
He added: “I like that (the likeness) puts a smile on my passengers’ faces.
“I thought it would die out but it hasn’t. Since the festival I get stopped more and more often. I can’t go anywhere any more.”
