OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey have teamed up to create a new mental health series for Apple TV.
The 34-year-old prince is “incredibly proud” to have spent several months working with the broadcasting legend on the “vital” shows, which are designed to encourage and inspire viewers to have honest conversations.
In a post on his and wife Duchess Meghan’s Instagram account on Wednesday (10.04.19), Harry said: “I am incredibly proud to be working alongside Oprah on this vital series which we have been developing together for several months.
“I truly believe that good mental health – mental fitness – is the key to powerful leadership, productive communities and a purpose-driven self.
“It is a huge responsibility to get this right as we bring you the facts, the science and the awareness of a subject that is so relevant during these times.
“Our hope is that this series will be positive, enlightening and inclusive – sharing global stories of unparalleled human spirit fighting back from the darkest places, and the opportunity for us to understand ourselves and those around us better.”
Oprah – who was among the guests when Harry and Meghan married last May – agreed to be a part of the venture after the prince told her he felt mental health was one of the “most important issues” in the world.
She told CBS: “I asked [Prince Harry] the question, ‘What do you think are the most important issues facing the world right now?’ and he said there are two.
“He said climate change and mental wellness, mental fitness and mental health.”
Kensington Palace said the series – which will launch in 2020 – will build on Harry’s “long-standing work on issues and initiatives regarding mental health, where he has candidly shared personal experience and advocated for those who silently suffer, empowering them to get the help and support they deserve”.
OHMYGOSSIP — Oprah Winfrey has praised the “wonderful and warm” Duchess of Sussex.
The 65-year-old media mogul thinks the former ‘Suits’ actress – who was known as Meghan Markle before her marriage to Prince Harry – has been “portrayed unfairly” and wants people to realise that her public image is very different to the kind and caring person she knows well.
Being interviewed by her best friend Gayle King on ‘CBS This Morning’, she said: “I think she’s being portrayed unfairly, and I feel that if people really knew her they would know that she is not only everything we perceive of her, in being graceful and dynamic in holding that position, but she just has a wonderful, warm, giving, loving heart. I think it’s very unfair.”
Gayle agreed with her pal and the pair praised the 37-year-old royal – who is due to give birth to her first child later this month – for apparently not being upset by any negativity around her.
Gayle said: “She’s very kind. She doesn’t seem to buy into [her bad press] though.”
Oprah agreed: “I think that’s remarkable that despite everything that’s going on she does not read anything.”
Meanwhile, it was announced on Wednesday (10.04.19) that Oprah is teaming up with Meghan’s husband for an Apple TV documentary series on mental health.
The 34-year-old prince is “incredibly proud” to have spent several months working with the broadcasting legend on the “vital” shows, which will air in 2020 and are designed to encourage and inspire viewers to have honest conversations.
In a post on his and Meghan’s Instagram account, he wrote: “I am incredibly proud to be working alongside Oprah on this vital series which we have been developing together for several months.

OHMYGOSSIP – Her Royal Highness Princess Ariane of the Netherlands will attend the Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet in The Hague after the summer holidays, according to the Government Information Services (RVD). She currently attends the Openbare Bloemcampschool in Wassenaar, near The Hague.
Her elder sisters The Princess of Orange and Princess Alexia also attend the same school. Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet is an independent Protestant school with over 700 students in the capital of the province of South Holland. Princess Laurentien, the wife of King Willem-Alexander’s brother, Prince Constantijn, also attended the school when she was a child.
While the three Princesses are in school, their lives are considered to be private, and the Dutch King and Queen have specifically requested that the press should respect their private lives.
Princess Ariane is the third child and daughter of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Queen Máxima. She was born on 10 April 2007 in the HMC Bronovo in The Hague. Her name was announced on 13 April, when the birth was registered. One of her names is Ines, and she was named for her aunt and godmother Inés Zorreguieta who committed suicide last year. OHMYGOSSIP – The Belgian Minister of Security and Internal Affairs, Pieter De Crem has published the security costs of the Belgian Royal Family from last year. The federal parliament usually asks for these numbers every year in light of transparency.
The Belgian Ministry of Security and Internal Affairs has responded to the parliamentary question about the costs of security of the Belgian Royal Family. For 2018 the prices are up to 15,432,548.72 euros. The numbers include the wages of the security staff, costs made by the federal police for the Royal Family and other expenses. These numbers are in line with the security costs of the previous years.
The Belgian Royal Family has its own security detachment of 195 people which is a part of the federal police reserved for the protection of the royal domains and the Royal Family. In addition, there are 34 servicemen and women of the military who are assigned fulltime to the Royal Family. The military and federal police also participate in the protection of the Royal Family whenever, for example, they attend official engagements, National Day, the summer opening of the Royal Palace, etc. The security staff of the Royal Family collectively worked for about 254,000 hours for the protection of the royals and the royal domains in 2018 or together 427 hours a day.
The King, Queen and their four children have protection agents with them at all times. Princess Elisabeth is currently living in Wales where she attends school, and she has a few protection officers with her. The other members of the Royal Family, Prince Laurent, Princess Claire, Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz only have protection agents with them when they carry out official engagements.
The Royal Palace of Laeken (the King’s home), the Royal Palace of Brussels (the “work” palace) and Belvédère Castle (residence of King Albert & Queen Paola) are guarded around the clock. Villa Clementine, home to Prince Laurent and his family, and Villa Schonenberg, home to Princess Astrid and her family, do not receive any protection but are heavily guarded with security cameras and other devices.

OHMYGOSSIP – Pierre Casiraghi* has given an interview to Boat International magazine discussing sailing, but he also found time to share his opinions on Prince William and Prince Harry, and how they deserve their privacy. In the interview, journalist Stewart Campbell notes that Casiraghi is reticent to discuss his royal connections – his mother is Princess Caroline; his uncle Prince Albert II of Monaco; his grandparents Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace (Hollywood actress Grace Kelly).
“When our conversation veers too closely to what it’s like being royal in a principality whose population barely touches 40,000, he withdraws a little, disappearing behind a half smile and narrowed eyes. His answers come slower, after a pause,” Campbell writes.
When the pair discuss sailing, the conversation flows smoother.
Casiraghi talked about the need for privacy, saying that “Everyone deserves their privacy.
“I understand people are curious [about our family], but that’s not privacy. Privacy is something that touches you and your immediate circle. It’s a question of respect.”
With regards to his counterpart in the United Kingdom, Casiraghi says, “Poor William and Harry! I mean, listen, it’s very difficult to compare us. Great Britain is a very big place with a lot of people; we come from a very small place with different traditions. But they also deserve their privacy.”
Casiraghi also spoke about sailing as a release for him, and how it affords him the privacy he craves.
“As a kid, I was always reading books about adventure, about being outside. It was always something I wanted to do, and the first time I went sailing on my own or went out with a friend, it was just freedom. No one could come and tell me, ‘Go there,’ or ‘Do this.’ It felt like a mini adventure just for me.”
Talking about his upbringing with older siblings Andrea and Charlotte, he says that “We were like any other kids. You go to school every morning, come home in the evening, do your homework. We were conscious that our situation wasn’t exactly the same as everyone else’s, but I don’t think it affected us.”
He studied law and economics at university and works with a helicopter firm called Monacair, and the construction company his late father Stefano founded, called Engeco.
Speaking of Prince Albert, he says that his uncle has done a lot to encourage sporting in the principality.
“Prince Albert has definitely set Monaco on a sports path, and I think that’s amazing. So many sportspeople live here, and it’s not just for tax reasons. If you go to the stadium, you have every sport from fencing, swimming, diving, boxing, you name it. All the track and field.”
Casiraghi doesn’t really compete any more, taking a behind the scenes role when it comes to sailing, mainly because of his family with wife, Beatrice Borromeo, which includes sons, Stefano and Francesco.
“I miss some parts of it. I miss some of those feelings when you share an extreme moment…with the team.”
* Pierre Rainier Stefano Casiraghi (born 5 September 1987) is the younger son and youngest of three children of Caroline, Princess of Hanover, and her second husband, Stefano Casiraghi. His maternal grandparents were Rainier III, Prince of Monaco, and American actress Grace Kelly. Casiraghi is eighth in the line of succession to the Monegasque throne, following his twin cousins, his mother, brother Andrea, nephews Alexandre and Maximillian Casiraghi, and his niece India Casiraghi.
Casiraghi was born in 5 September 1987 at Princess Grace Hospital Centre, in La Colle, Monaco. He is named after his maternal great-grandfather, Prince Pierre, Duke of Valentinois, his maternal grandfather, Prince Rainier III, and his father. His godparents are his uncle, Prince Albert II, and his aunt by marriage Laura Sabatini Casiraghi, the wife of his uncle Daniele. Casiraghi was three years old at the time of his father’s death in a boating accident. He spent his earliest years, after his father’s death, living at his mother’s farmhouse in the quaint town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
He attended a state school in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. However, after his mother’s remarriage to Ernst August, Prince of Hanover, the family moved to Fontainebleau, to be nearer to Paris and London, the latter being where his new stepbrothers lived with their mother. It is assumed that Casiraghi passed the French Baccalaureate exam in the summer of 2005 since he shortly afterwards began university. One year later, in fact, he moved to Milan to begin a three-year undergraduate course in International Economics and Management at Bocconi University. Besides French, he is fluent in Italian, English, and knows some German. He also plays the saxophone.
It is believed that he uses his economics degree towards learning the business of his father’s companies, which are also managed by his uncle Marco.
Casiraghi was linked to a number of young women during his university years in Milan, where he was photographed out and about with fashion models. Casiraghi has been in a relationship with the journalist Beatrice Borromeo since May 2008. They were married in a civil ceremony on 25 July 2015 in the gardens of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco. The religious ceremony took place on Isola Bella on 1 August 2015. Pierre and Beatrice’s first child, Stefano Ercole Carlo, was born on 28 February 2017. Their second child, Francesco Carlo Albert was born on 21 May 2018.
In February 2012, Casiraghi was briefly hospitalized following a physical altercation at a New York nightclub. According to media reports, Casiraghi approached the table of businessman Adam Hock, models Natasha Poly, Anja Rubik and Valentina Zelyaeva, whereby words were exchanged and an altercation ensued. Hock was arrested on four counts of assault, and is alleged to have struck Casiraghi as well as three male friends. Hock, who was charged on eight counts of misdemeanor assault, alleges that Casiraghi was the aggressor and that he assaulted Casiraghi and his companions in self-defence. Casiraghi was treated at New York Presbyterian Hospital for a laceration, bruising, and swelling of his face.
OHMYGOSSIP – Charlotte Casiraghi* and her fiancé Dimitri Rassam** are busy planning their wedding for this summer! They were supposed to tie the knot last year but decided to postpone their marriage until after the birth of their child, RoyalCentral.co.uk mediates.
Princess Caroline’s daughter will marry the French-Lebanese film producer this summer. The exact date hasn’t been revealed yet but close sources have confirmed to Paris Match that the wedding will take place this June. In a couple of months the pair will tie the knot at the Princely Palace of Monaco. This will be their civil wedding ceremony.
The granddaughter of the late Princess Grace of Monaco and her fiancé are also planning a religious ceremony. Their second wedding ceremony will take place a while after their civil ceremony and it is rumoured it will be held on the island of Pantelleria in the Strait of Sicily, Italy. Dimitri’s mother, French actress and model Carole Bouquet, runs her own winery there.
The love story of Charlotte and Dimitri began at a party at the end of 2016. The pair had known each other for a long time but both were involved with other people until then. They got engaged early 2018 and in October 2018 Charlotte and Dimitri welcomed a baby boy named Balthazar. The pair was also spotted at the annual Bal de la Rose in Monaco a couple of weeks ago.
Both Dimitri and Charlotte have children from previous relationships. From her relationship with comedian Gad Elmaleh, Charlotte has a son named Raphael (5). Dimitri has a daughter named Darya (7) with his ex-wife the Russian model Masha Novoselova.
This wedding will not be the only wedding to take place in Monaco. Charlotte’s cousin Louis Ducruet is also marrying his fiancée Marie Chevalier this summer.

* Charlotte Marie Pomeline Casiraghi (born 3 August 1986) is the second child of Caroline, Princess of Hanover, and Stefano Casiraghi, an Italian industrialist. She is eleventh in line to the throne of Monaco. Her maternal grandparents were Rainier III, Prince of Monaco, and American actress Grace Kelly. She is named after her paternal great-grandmother, Princess Charlotte, Duchess of Valentinois. She was christened on 20 September 1986. Her godparents are Albina du Boisrouvray and Stefano Casiraghi’s brother-in-law, Massimo Bianchi.
Charlotte and her two brothers, Andrea and Pierre, were born in the Mediterranean Principality of Monaco, ruled by their maternal grandfather, Prince Rainier III. When she was four years old, her father was killed in a boating accident. After his death, Princess Caroline moved the family to the Midi village of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in France, with the intention of minimising their exposure to the press.
One of her first acts of public life was to become a delegate from Monaco to the Club des Habits Rouges, which is similar to The Pony Club in the UK. At the same time, her grandfather Rainier III, Prince of Monaco designated her patron of the Public Safety Division in Monaco.
In January 1999, Charlotte gained a stepfather and two stepbrothers, (Prince Ernst of Hanover and Prince Christian of Hanover), when her mother married Ernst August, Prince of Hanover. Six months later, Casiraghi’s half-sister, Princess Alexandra of Hanover, was born at a clinic in Voecklabruck, Austria. Casiraghi is godmother to her sister. The family then moved to the Parisian suburb of Fontainebleau.
From 2001 through 2004, as a member of Marcel Rozier’s Team Marionnaud, Casiraghi participated in a number of Junior and Amateur class show jumping competitions. She was trained successively by both of Rozier’s sons, first Philippe and then Thierry Rozier.
From the ages of two to six, Casiraghi attended Les Dames de Saint Maur, which is part of the Catholic schools of François d’assisi Nicolas Barré in Monaco. At the age of six, she moved on to the École de la République (state school system) in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. From 2000 to 2004 she attended the Lycée François-Couperin, Fontainebleau.
She obtained an “excellent” (in French: très bien, the highest possible) mark on her baccalaureate exam in July 2004. After passing her bac, she enrolled in the hypokhâgne and khâgne course at the Lycée Fénelon, in St-Germain-des-Près, Paris, in the hope of entering the École normale supérieure (Paris). She took the written entrance exam for ENS in June 2006, but failed to make the list of candidates eligible to proceed to the oral exam.
In 2007, Casiraghi earned a License of Philosophy (B.A.) from the University of Paris IV: Paris-Sorbonne; Casiraghi completed two internships, firstly with the publishing house of Robert Laffont in Paris, and then later from October 2007 with the Sunday magazine supplement of The Independent newspaper of London.
Casiraghi is a private citizen, but occasionally attends official functions in Monaco, such as a fundraising gala for AMADE Mondiale and Nelson Mandela’s foundation in September 2007. In 2006, she made her debut appearance at Monaco’s Rose Ball (in French: Bal de la Rose), which also raises money for the Princess Grace Foundation. Since childhood, she and her brothers have made regular appearances with their family on occasions such as the Monaco National Day and the Monaco Grand Prix.
At the age of 16, Casiraghi was named number ten on a list of the world’s most eligible young women. Vanity Fair, selected Casiraghi as one of the International Best Dressed List of 2006.
Casiraghi is often photographed at fashion shows, art exhibits, and equestrian events.
Casiraghi appeared on the cover of Vogue Paris in September 2011.
In December 2011, Casiraghi started dating stand-up comedian and actor Gad Elmaleh. Their son, Raphaël, was born in December 2013. As Raphaël’s parents were not married, he is not included in the line of succession to the Monegasque throne. The couple split in June 2015.
She is currently engaged to film producer Dimitri Rassam, the son of French actress, Carole Bouquet. In March 2018, several credible media sources reported her engagement to Rassam and it was widely noted that she wore a diamond ring at Monaco’s Rose Ball on 24 March. Casiraghi was visibly pregnant by the summer and the couple chose to postpone a wedding until after the birth of their child. On 23 October 2018, Casiraghi gave birth to a second child, a son named Balthazar, who will not be in the line of succession to the Monegasque throne unless his parents marry.
** Dimitri Rassam (born November 16, 1981) is a French film producer. Rassam is the son of actress Carole Bouquet and film producer Jean-Pierre Rassam. He has one half-brother, Louis, born in 1987 to his mother’s relationship with the photographer Francis Giacobetti. Rassam was four years old when his father died from a drug overdose.
Rassam finished secondary school at École Active Bilingue with a Bac scientifique, then prepped at Sciences Po. He began work on a business degree at HEC Paris, but changed course to earn a degree in history (from the Sorbonne) instead.
At the age of 23, Rassam founded the production company “Chapter 2”. In 2014, “Chapter 2” merged with Alexis Vonarb’s Onyx Films and Aton Soumache’s Method Animation to form “ON Entertainment”. Method Animation is the parent company, with Soumache as CEO.
Since 2008, Rassam has been a film producer, as producer for Trouble at Timpetill (his first credit); Daddy or Mommy (2015), and The Little Prince (2015). He is currently producing “Playmobil The Movie”, due out in 2019. He was also a producer of Le Prénom (2012) and Escobar: Paradise Lost. He has worked with various directors of animation films, including Mark Osborne, director of Kung Fu Panda and The Little Prince.
He married Masha Novoselova in 2010. His daughter, Darya, was born in 2011. At the end of 2016, he separated from Novoselova and to be dating Charlotte Casiraghi, the daughter of Caroline, Princess of Hanover and niece of Albert II, Prince of Monaco. In March 2018 Rassam and Casiraghi were reported to be engaged, and would be married in the summer. Their son, Balthazar, was born on 23 October 2018.

OHMYGOSSIP – The letter to King Felipe VI of Spain, demanding that the monarch apologise for the 16th century conquest of Mexico, is to be published. The Mexican President, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, said he would soon share the entire contents of the document which he sent to King Felipe in March.
The President of Mexico, who also wrote to Pope Francis at the same time, said he was sharing his whole message after sections were leaked in the press. He said that had been shared were drafts and he wanted the full text out in the open.
The letters originally came to light after Mr Lopez Obrador referred to them in a speech at events marking the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Centla. He said then he had been in touch with King Felipe asking for an apology for ”what would now be called human rights abuses”. In the speech he also said ”there were massacres….the so-called conquest was carried out with the sword and the cross”.
Officials in Madrid immediately rejected the call. In a statement, the government said that the arrival of Spanish troops in what is now Mexico five centuries ago ”cannot be judged in the light of contemporary considerations”. It added ”our two brother nations have always known how to read our shared past without anger and with a constructive perspective”.
King Felipe has enjoyed good relations with Mexico since his succession in June 2014. His first State Visit as king to a South American country was to Mexico – he and Queen Letizia travelled there in 2015. Mr Lopez Obrador took up office at the end of 2018.
Spanish conquistadores landed in Mexico five hundred years ago under the leadership of Hernando Cortes. They quickly took over much of the country which became an integral part of the Spanish Empire.
OHMYGOSSIP – When it comes to royal friendships, Princess Diana and Sarah Ferguson had one for the books. Though the two were childhood friends, their friendship really made headlines when they both married into the royal family and became sister-in-laws. They were often spotted joking around and having fun during official royal events. Although the two unfortunately had a falling out prior to Diana’s death in 1997, Sarah still holds the highest regards for the Princess of Wales.
In a rare interview with Daily Mail, the Duchess of York briefly opened up about her friendship with the late royal. While discussing her daughter Princess Eugenie’s recent wedding to Jack Brooksbank, she admitted that she was incredibly sad that Diana couldn’t be there to celebrate. “I thought of absent friends and family; of Diana — but she’s with me all the time,” she said, adding that what she misses most is “her tinkling laughter.”
“Diana was my best friend and the funniest person I knew,” she continued. “She had such timing and wit. It was a total joy to be with her because we just laughed and enjoyed life so much, and I know she would have loved the wedding.” Read ahead for some of their sweetest friendship moments.

OHMYGOSSIP – Being a royal means you have to follow some fairly strict rules and one of them is not having drastic haircuts as ‘to distract from royal work’. But as Meghan Markle stepped out to various royal duties over the past week, eagle eyed fans have noticed the Duchess of Sussex may have had a secret haircut.
The changes are incredibly subtle and can be described as what Jack Merrick-Thirlway, senior stylist at Neville Hair & Beauty calls ‘dusting’.
“Meghan Markle looks as if she gets ‘dusting’ as her hair always looks shiny and healthy but without changing length,” he tells Yahoo! “The concept of a ‘dusting’ haircut is little and often. By trimming your hair regularly ie once every 4 weeks, you have to take off minimal amounts of hair each time, unlike if you have a haircut every six months and need to cut a few inches to seal the ends and eliminate damage.
“Also, clients that are trying to grow their hair long often make the mistake of not cutting their hair for months assuming this is the way forward, whereas if they had ‘dusting’ on a regular basis the hair would grow quicker and healthier with no need to cut inches off each time.”
It’s the same thing Princess Diana used to have done according to her stylist Richard Dalton.
“Whatever I did to her hair became front page news,” he told Town & Country. “We had to be very careful. We had to do it one-fourth of an inch at a time over several weeks.”

OHMYGOSSIP – Queen Máxima of the Netherlands has been ordered to rest by her doctors. As a result, her upcoming trip to Tanzania that she was to undertake as the Special Advocate of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Inclusive Finance for Development has been cancelled. She was due to visit the African country on the 6th and 7th of this month.
The Queen is believed to be suffering from a bowel or stomach infection, and more tests will be run to confirm. It is not known how long the Queen will be on rest or when she will return to work.
The Government Information Service (or RVD) in the Netherlands made the announcement yesterday stating:
“Her Majesty Queen Máxima has been told to rest by her doctor. Following several health complaints, a bowel/stomach infection is suspected.
“Further tests will have to confirm this. As a consequence, she will cancel the trip to Tanzania that was supposed to take place on the 6th and 7th of November. She was supposed to undertake the trip in her role as Special Advocate of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Inclusive Finance for Development.”
The RVD’s announcement came yesterday, but Her Majesty still attended one scheduled engagement regarding suicide prevention. This topic is close to the Queen’s heart as her younger sister committed suicide in Argentina earlier this year.
Queen Máxima has been the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA) since September 2009. She was promoted to the role by former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon. She travels extensively across the globe in her role to discuss financial inclusion problems and opportunities, especially in the developing world.

OHMYGOSSIP – Queen Sofía of Spain celebrated her 80th birthday yesterday with a private lunch at Zarzuela Palace in Madrid with her husband, King Juan Carlos, children and grandchildren.
Even Juan Carlos and Sofía’s scandal-plagued daughter, Infanta Cristina was in attendance after being out of the royal fold for years due to her and her husband’s trial for fraud and money laundering. However, she did attend the Mass for her late paternal grandfather, Infante Juan, Count of Barcelona in April of this year but was not seen in any photos released by the Royal House.
Casa Real did not reveal information about the family lunch, but they did release a photo taken outside Zarzuela Palace of the Spanish Royal Family. Pictured with King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofía were King Felipe and Queen Letizia with their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía; Infanta Elena, Duchess of Lugo with her two children, Felipe de Marichalar y Borbón and Victoria de Marichalar y Borbón; and Infanta Cristina with her four children: Juan Urdangarín y de Borbón, Pablo Urdangarín y de Borbón, Miguel Urdangarín y de Borbón, and Irene Urdangarín y de Borbón.
The celebration and photo were changes from the celebrations of King Juan Carlos’s 80th birthday in January of this year. At that private family lunch, also at Zarzuela Palace, Infanta Cristina and her family were not invited. The image Casa Real released on that day only included King Juan Carlos, Queen Sofía, King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor, Infanta Sofía, Infanta Elena and her children, Felipe and Victoria.
Queen Sofía was born as Princess Sophia of Greece and Denmark, the eldest child of King Paul and Queen Frederica of Greece on 2 November 1938 in Tatoi Palace in Athens, Greece. She has two younger siblings: King Constantine II of Greece and Princess Irene.
She married then Infante Juan Carlos of Spain on 14 May 1962, converting from Greek Orthodoxy to Roman Catholicism and changing the spelling of her name to its Spanish variant “Sofía”.
Juan Carlos and Sofía have three children: Infanta Elena (b. 1963), Infanta Cristina (b. 1965), and King Felipe (b. 1968). They have four grandsons and four granddaughters.
Sofía became Queen of Spain where her husband ascended the throne after the death of Spanish dictator Francisco Franco in 1975. In June 2014, Juan Carlos abdicated, and he and Sofía’s only son ascended the throne as King Felipe VI.

The site contains the world’s oldest continually operating library, possessing many unique books including the Syriac Sinaiticus and, until 1859, the Codex Sinaiticus.
Last year, in 2017, the Saint Catherine Monastery Foundation celebrated its 20th anniversary in London. During this time, tremendous work on the restoration of the monastery was accomplished.

OHMYGOSSIP – An avid social media user, Princess Madeleine of Sweden has shared a photo of her and her children on Halloween to her Instagram account. This was the second Halloween themed image the royal has shared over the past week.
The Princess, who currently resides in the Miami area of Florida with her husband, Chris O’Neill and three children, is pictured dressed as a black cat while holding her youngest child, Princess Adrienne, who is in a pumpkin outfit.
On 21 October, the youngest child of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia posted a collage of fall and Halloween images taken at a pumpkin patch saying, “Sunday Funday”. Princess Leonore and Prince Nicolas also feature in these, but their seven-month-old baby sister, Princess Adrienne, is not shown.
The Princess Family recently returned to the United States after living for several years in London. Before that, they resided in New York City, where Princess Leonore was born in February 2014.
After relocating to London, Prince Nicolas was born in June 2015 in Stockholm. Princess Adrienne was born in March of this year, also in Stockholm.
Madeleine married her American-British husband, Chris O’Neill in June 2013 in the Royal Chapel of Stockholm Palace.
OHMYGOSSIP — Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is said to be “upset” but not “surprised” by her father Thomas Markle’s outbursts. The 37-year-old former actress – who was known as Meghan Markle before she married Prince Harry three months ago – has been left red faced by her dad Thomas Markle and her estranged sibling Samantha Markle’s recent cruel remarks regarding her and the royal family.
And whilst she is believed to be saddened by the ordeal – which has involved Thomas claiming his daughter would be “nothing” without him – she isn’t “shocked or surprised” by his behaviour, as it is allegedly nothing new to her.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Nothing could be further from the truth. His behaviour is something she has had to deal with for most of her adult life. There has been a long history of ‘dad disappointment’ with her life being splattered with upset because of her relationship with him. She isn’t shocked or surprised by his behaviour and dealt with it all with a lot of grace.”
Thomas, 74, was initially expressing how upset he was that he hadn’t heard from Meghan since before the wedding, which he was forced to pull out of in order to have heart surgery, but his remarks became nastier and more revealing with time.
He said in one interview: “I refuse to stay quiet. What riles me is Meghan’s sense of superiority. She’d be nothing without me. I made her the duchess she is today. Everything that Meghan is, I made her. I was having my good years then, making good money, and could afford to give her the best, with a good school, good education, good home. She became the woman that she is today thanks to everything I did for her. And did I get any recognition for it? Any thanks? She doesn’t even speak to me now. How cold is that?”
Meanwhile, it was recently claimed Kensington Palace have decided they need to intervene because the feud is becoming embarrassing for the royals. A source said: “The Palace, which normally takes a firm policy of not commenting on personal matters, is now considering a more aggressive strategy to deal with the situation with both her father and her sister.”
