Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to tour Norway and Sweden

OHMYGOSSIP — The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will tour Norway and Sweden next year.
The royal couple have announced that they will travel to the Scandinavian countries early next year on behalf of the Foreign Office and, although the exact dates haven’t been confirmed, the 35-year-old beauty will be heavily pregnant with her third child.
The news was confirmed on the official Kensington Palace Twitter account, which read: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will undertake an official visit to Norway and Sweden at the request of the FCO in early 2018. (sic)”
The prince, 35, will also make a solo visit to Finland next month from Wednesday 29 November until Thursday 30 November, but Catherine won’t be going with him as she is still suffering with hyperemesis gravidarum – a severe form of morning sickness.
The pair – who are already parents to Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two – announced they were expecting another child in September after Catherine got sick, and they have now confirmed their little bundle of joy will be born in April.
A statement issued by Kensington Palace said: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in April 2018.”
The new baby will be the fifth in line to the throne, with Prince Harry – the child’s uncle – being pushed into sixth.

Meghan Markle starts making sacrifices for royal romance

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry’s girlfriend Meghan Markle has made sacrifices for their relationship.
The 33-year-old hunk is believed to be planning to pop the question to the ‘Suits’ actress any time now but the brunette beauty has already started preparing to join the royal family as she has reportedly decided to wave goodbye to her acting career, ditch her life in Canada for one in London and taken down her blog TheTig.com.
She wrote on her website: “To all my Tig friends
“After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it’s time to say goodbye to The Tig. What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity.
“You’ve made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy. Keep finding those Tig moments of discovery, keep laughing and taking risks, and keep being “the change you wish to see in the world.”
“Above all, don’t ever forget your worth – as I’ve told you time and time again: you, my sweet friend, you are enough. Thank you for everything. xx (sic)”
According to the Daily Star newspaper, the royals – including Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip – didn’t think it was appropriate for Meghan, 36, to have a blog.
Meghan and Harry have been dating for more than a year and speculation has been rife recently that they will announce their engagement before Christmas.
Should the actress become a full-time royal, the raven-haired beauty – who has been a global ambassador for international charity World Vision since 2006 – is said to be keen to pursue further charity work.
A source said recently: “She really enjoys her charity work with Unicef and will broaden out her charity commitments when she becomes a full-time royal.”

Royal ukulele up for auction

OHMYGOSSIP — A ukulele signed by Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla will be auctioned off for charity.
The unusual instrument – which was scribbled on by the royal couple two years ago during the re-opening of the Clutha bar in Glasgow, Scotland – will go under the hammer this week through Catawiki and all proceeds from the sale will go to the Clutha Trust, which helps fund music events and gig for underprivileged children.
Mark Borgman, of Catawiki, told the Glasgow Live: “Items that have been signed or owned by a member of a royal family are currently very popular.
“For example, this month we auctioned the old Mercedes of the former Spanish King Juan Carlos for over £35,000 and an aquarelle by Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands (which she made at the age of 14) for almost £4,000.”
It’s believed the ukulele, which will be on sale until October 19, could fetch more than £3,000 at auction as it’s already sailed past its reserved price.
Charles and Camilla – who got married in 2005 – opened the Clutha bar in 2015 – two years after it was destroyed when a police helicopter crashed through the roof and tragically killed three passengers and seven pub-goers.

Prince William makes surprise visit to Hereford Cathedral

OHMYGOSSIP — The Duke of Cambridge made a surprise visit to the Hereford Cathedral yesterday (17.10.17).
The 35-year-old royal stopped by a ceremony, which was attended by 600 people including members of the elite Special Air Service regiment, dedicated to a new sculpture and stained glass window at the place of worship in Herefordshire in the West Midlands.
The service was closed to the public and the cathedral was heavily guarded by security in order to make it safe for the prince to stop by and meet the SAS soldiers and veterans.
But William did meet around 200 well-wishers outside the building before he went in.
Afterwards, the Dean of Hereford, the Very Reverend Michael Tavinor, told the Express.co.uk: “We were pleased to welcome His Royal Highness the Duke of Cambridge to the cathedral this morning to join us as we dedicated this very special work of art.
“Ascension has been placed in this cathedral church because Hereford is the home of the Special Air Service, and the people of this city and county are proud of their association with it.
“In stone and glass, the artist John Maine RA has created an arresting and peaceful place for visitors and pilgrims alike, where thoughts and prayers for special forces can be offered, encouragement can be found, and hope can be inspired.
“In this act of dedication, we brought before God the story of a distinguished regiment, its past, its present and its future, and commended to our heavenly Father the people whose names and deeds we may not know, but whose involvement in the SAS has made a significant difference to international security and to the task of building a better society for generations to come. We hope that many more visitors will come to see Ascension for themselves over the forthcoming weeks and months and will enjoy spending time in our beautiful cathedral and discovering its treasures.”

Prince Harry ‘doesn’t want a marriage of pomp and pageantry’

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry does not want “pomp and pageantry” if he is to marry Meghan Markle.
The British royal and the ‘Suits’ actress have been dating since last year and recent speculation has suggested that the high-profile couple are already preparing to tie the knot – but a source has now claimed that Prince Harry would be eager to avoid an extravagant ceremony.
The insider explained: “Pomp and pageantry is the last thing he would want.”
With that in mind, it has been suggested that the 33-year-old royal would seek to marry the brunette beauty in the relatively low-key surrounds of St George’s Chapel.
The source told Us Weekly: “I can see him wanting to get married at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. It would stop it from turning into a total media circus and give the day a sense of privacy that Harry so badly craves.”
Despite the interest surrounding their relationship, Meghan claimed earlier this year that she hasn’t been changed by the experience of dating a royal.
Speaking in September, the actress explained: “We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people’s perception.
“Nothing about me changed. I’m still the same person that I am, and I’ve never defined myself by my relationship.”
However, Meghan admits they may need to become more open about their relationship as it develops.
She said: “We’re a couple. We’re in love. I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time.
“This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story.”

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge having baby in April 2018

OHMYGOSSIP — The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third child in April 2018.
Prince William and Catherine- who are already parents to Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two – have confirmed 35-year-old Catherine’s due date following them announcing that she was pregnant again in September.
A statement issued by Kensington Palace said: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in April 2018.”
The new baby will be the fifth in line to the throne, with Prince Harry – the child’s uncle – being pushed into sixth.
William, 35, and Catherine – previously known as Kate Middleton – will kick off an exciting year with an official royal tour of Norway and Sweden in early 2018.
Kensington Palace announced: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will undertake an official visit to Norway and Sweden at the request of the FCO in early 2018.”
Although Duchess Catherine has once again been suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum – a severe form of morning sickness – she still made a public appearance on Monday (16.10.17) as she danced with Paddington Bear at Paddington Station for a charity event.
After Catherine busted some moves, the couple and Prince Harry, 33, boarded a train where they met with children who are involved with the charities they support, as well as their families.
Whilst in the carriage, a young boy took the opportunity to ask William what Prince George’s favorite films and TV shows are and the heir to the throne revealed that ‘The Lion King’ is very popular at his home.
He said: “He quite likes ‘The Lion King’, we’ve watched that a few times, He has watched a few Lego movies as well. Trying to keep him off the television is hard work.”

Royal residences thrown into turmoil by staff walkouts?

OHMYGOSSIP — At least 14 cooks and kitchen staff reportedly resigned from royal residencies over their workload due to their workload.
Staff employed by the British Royal Family, including chefs and porters, were said to be unhappy at being asked to work at several royal residences without being given any additional money as an incentive.
A source explained: “The place is in turmoil and the mood is getting steadily worse.
“Because the Queen now lives at Windsor Castle most of the time, chefs often have to go there, then back to Buckingham Palace for functions.”
Staff apparently decided to quit their jobs because they felt that the demands being placed on them had become unfair.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the insider shared: “Prince Charles uses the staff to throw events. Chefs are also asked to help out at Kensington Palace for William, Kate and Harry, plus dinners at St James’s Palace.
“People work all hours God sends for no extra pay. Nobody gets any time off or sees their families. It’s too much.
“They’ve concluded it’s not worth it any more. At least seven chefs have quit, plus other members of staff. Some are very experienced and won’t be easy to replace.”
The walkout will be particularly disappointing to Queen Elizabeth, who recently returned to London after spending the summer at Balmoral in Scotland.
The source said: “This is the last thing she needs on returning from her summer holidays at Balmoral.
“She hates change and chaos and will be upset by all these resignations.”

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have love song penned for them

OHMYGOSSIP — A love song has been penned to mark Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh’s platinum wedding anniversary.
The classical piece of music has been composed by Russian Olga Thomas and features Australian tenor Daniel Koek and soprano Joanna Forest.
Of the love song, Thomas explained: “The Queen and Prince Philip’s relationship is inspirational for me.
“I love the idea of a traditional commitment which seems to be less common these days.
“They are symbols of everlasting love, a true reflection of what a marriage really should be, two people working together as one, a long-term commitment to each other and values that I hold dear.”
The royal couple married at Westminster Abbey in 1947 and are set to celebrate their 70th anniversary next month.
Thomas said it was important to her that the song had a “timeless quality”.
She told the Daily Express newspaper: “I wanted the song to reflect this, to be full of passion, heart, dramatic in scale and an epic timeless piece that will endure for years to come.”
‘Royal Platinum Love Song’ is set for release on November 10.
Meanwhile, it was revealed earlier this month that Queen Elizabeth is a big fan of the Beach Boys.
Ingrid Seward, author of the book ‘My Husband & I’, which details Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s marriage, said: “The Queen is a big fan of musicals, traditional hymns, and Scottish ballads, and even the Beach Boys’s songs, especially ‘California Girls’.
“She also likes Elton John and all kinds of military music. She plays the piano herself and has a pitch-perfect singing voice. Whether or not she has much time to listen to music on her iPod I am not sure, but I rather doubt it.”

Prince Harry reveals what he eats for breakfast

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry enjoys eating bacon and sausage sandwiches for breakfast.
The 33-year-old royal – who has been dating ‘Suits’ actress Meghan Markle since mid-2016 – revealed his eating habits to nine-year-old Marni Ahmed at the annual WellChild Awards in London.
During his conversation with the flame-haired Prince, Marni – who suffers from a rare skin condition – asked him what he had for breakfast following a dare by WellChild ambassador Gaby Roslin.
Recalling their tongue-in-cheek chat, Marni shared: “He said, ‘bacon and sausage sandwich.'”
Marni also asked the royal whether he’d ever eaten a Doner kebab, and according to the Daily Star newspaper, Prince Harry responded: “No, but my friends have.”
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Meghan is set to quit ‘Suits’ and marry the British royal.
The 36-year-old actress plays paralegal Rachel Zane in the US drama series, but she is said to have told show bosses she will not be heading back to the office for next year’s eighth series.
A source recently said: “Meghan knows she can’t really act at the same time as being a princess and is happy to make this career sacrifice.”
Speculation has claimed that the American actress and Harry will announce their rumoured engagement before Christmas.
And if Meghan does become a full-time royal, the raven-haired beauty – who has been a global ambassador for international charity World Vision since 2006 – is said to be keen to pursue further charitable work.
The insider added: “She really enjoys her charity work with Unicef and will broaden out her charity commitments when she becomes a full-time royal.”

Prince George loves watching TV

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince George loves watching television.
The four-year-old royal, who is the son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, relishes spending time in front of the TV screen at home, where he watches the kid’s series ‘The Octonauts’, as well as ‘The Lion King’ and the ‘Lego’ movies.
During a conversation with a young boy – which has been posted on Twitter – the Duke was asked about his son’s hobbies, and he replies: “He quite likes ‘The Lion King’. We’ve watched that a few times.”
The Duke revealed that he and his wife are careful to ensure the young Prince doesn’t spend too much time in front of the TV, though.
But he added: “He’s watched ‘Octonauts’. Trying to keep him off the television is hard work.”
Meanwhile, it was recently claimed that Prince George and his younger sister, two-year-old Princess Charlotte, have already started to influence fashion trends in the UK and abroad.
The Prince wore a blue jumper during the royals’ tour of Canada in 2016, prompting a 200 percent spike in searches for the term ‘blue jumper’, and his sister is having a similar impact with her own attire.
An eBay spokesman said: “Her yellow cardigan worn in her birthday picture sparked the biggest percentage increase in searches for an item of clothing worn by any royal.”
Murray Lambell, vice-president of trading at eBay, said that although Duchess Catherine is widely known for her stylish attire, it is the youngest generation of royals who are now proving to be most influential.
He explained: “It’s the youngest generation of royals who really generate the must-have fashion items – and are driving a new generation of shopping behaviour on eBay.”

Prince Harry to break with ring tradition?

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry is expected to break with tradition by purchasing a large, clear diamond engagement ring for Meghan Markle.
While the pair – who have been dating for more than a year – are yet to get engaged, such speculation is rife and it is believed the flame-haired prince is looking to buy a big sparkler with a clear stone for the US-born actress rather than a traditional coloured one the royal family tend to prefer.
Jewellery expert David Law told Express.co.uk: “Looking back throughout history, royals have frequently chosen a ring featuring diamonds around the centre stone – whether this be a diamond or a coloured gemstone with diamonds set into the band.
“As for Americans, typically they are into size rather than the colour and clarity of the stone. In my experience, a typical American client prefers a centre stone that is 3-carat and above.”
Harry’s late mother Princess Diana – who was married to his and Prince William’s father Prince Charles from 1981 to 1996 – had a sapphire ring, as did William’s wife Duchess Catherine.
What’s more, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, and Princess Margaret both had ruby engagement rings.
Last week, Harry was advised against popping the question with an emerald ring.
Tobias Kormind, founder of 77Diamonds, said: “Engagement rings are our core product. We are working on a concept where we will launch coloured stones.
“It’s interesting because at the high end these are performing really well – the sapphires and emeralds – because they are quite rare, and they are absolutely beautiful, and we all love colour. But I think it’s much better if you do earrings or pendants with those stones rather than the knuckle duster ring!
“Gemstones are softer, so over the course of a lifetime they won’t last, so unless it’s a ruby or a sapphire we do say, especially for engagement rings, that they are prone to chipping and breaking. Unless the stone was too soft to set we would never say no to creating it, but we would definitely advise against every day wear.”

Prince George to break single-sex school royal tradition?

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William and Duchess Catherine could break with royal tradition by choosing a mixed school for Prince George.
The royal couple – who also have two-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte – are said to be weighing up whether to send the four-year-old youngster to a co-educational private school rather than just a boys-only school when he leaves Thomas’s Battersea, south-west London, aged 11.
A source told The Sunday Times newspaper: “The word on the street is that his parents want co-education and boarding when he leaves prep school.”
George could follow in the footsteps of a number of pupils who left his current school this summer after more went to mixed than boys-only schools.
Marlborough College – where Catherine attended – is thought to be an option, as is Brighton College, where five Thomas’s leavers went this year.
Richard Cairns, headmaster of Brighton College, said: “It would be ground-breaking for the royal family but is in tune with the feelings of most modern parents, who feel increasingly strongly that segregating their sons from their daughters is unnatural and not obvious preparation for a world where women and men are equal partners at work.”
While five Thomas’s leavers went to Brighton, only two opted for Eton, where George’s father William and uncle Prince Harry attended.
Last month, William revealed George had settled into school life “easily”.
He said: “It’s been an interesting week.
“George has been really easy. He hasn’t said, ‘Have I got to do this for the rest of my life?'”

Queen Elizabeth acquires eco-friendly van

OHMYGOSSIP — Queen Elizabeth has acquired an eco-friendly van to transport plants and machinery.
The 91-year-old monarch has added to her fleet of electric vehicles with a Nissan van and as a result she now requires another charging point on the grounds of Buckingham Palace to ensure the motor doesn’t run out of juice.
A spokeswoman said: “The gardening team will shortly replace their existing vehicle with an electric van.
“An application has therefore been made to introduce a charge point in the Long Shed at the back of Buckingham Palace.
“This vehicle will be used for transporting machinery, plants and personnel.”
Elizabeth is also the proud owner of three other green cars, a Renault Twizy – gifted to her in 2012 – a BMW i3 and a hybrid 7-Series.
The spokeswoman added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “The Royal Household has had two fully electric cars, and one hybrid, for official use by the Royal Mews for several years.
“There are two existing dedicated charging units for these vehicles, at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle.”
Despite reducing her royal duties, the queen was spotted driving herself home from church on Sunday (15.10.17).
The monarch looked quite content as she motored her way back home to Windsor following a recent three-month stint at her Scottish residence, Balmoral.
Her security guard was seen sitting in the passenger seat.

Princes William and Harry to meet Paddington 2 cast

OHMYGOSSIP — Princes William and Harry will meet the cast of ‘Paddington 2’ for a charity event.
The royal siblings will chat to the likes of Julie Walters and Peter Capaldi at Paddington railway station in central London, where they will send off a number of kids who will board a train bound for the English countryside.
The youngsters have been selected from William and Harry’s Charities Forum – established in 2006 to bring their individual charity interests together – and comes ahead of the motion picture’s release on November 10.
William and Harry will wave off the kids as they head to the picturesque countryside on the Belmond British Pullman train.
The royal pair take on a lot of charity work following on from their late mother, Princess Diana, who died in a car crash in August 1997 aged 36.
Last month, William – the President of the Football Association – visited the Sporting Chance charity to hear about their work supporting victims of sexual abuse within the football industry.
Ahead of the engagement, Kensington Palace announced on Twitter: “The Duke, as President of the @FA, will visit the Sporting Chance charity on 12 September … HRH will see how they are working with The FA to support those affected by non-recent cases of childhood sexual abuse within football. (sic)”
William – who has kids Prince George, four, and two-year-old Princess Charlotte with wife Duchess Catherine – Harry and the Duchess of Cambridge spearhead the mental health charity Heads Together.
Last month, the flame-haired royal – who is dating actress Meghan Markle – said the “older generation” have passed down their stiff upper lip when it comes to speaking out about mental health issues.
He explained: “The older generation have had it one way and handed whatever you want to call it, the bad habits, down to all of us, as the younger generation.”

Meghan Markle to quit Suits ahead of engagement?

OHMYGOSSIP — Meghan Markle is set to quit ‘Suits’ amid claims she and Prince Harry are to marry.
The 36-year-old actress plays paralegal Rachel Zane in the US drama series, but she is said told have told show bosses she will not be heading back to the office for next year’s eighth series.
A source said: “Meghan knows she can’t really act at the same time as being a princess and is happy to make this career sacrifice.”
Meghan and Harry have been dating for more than a year and speculation has been rife recently that they will announce their engagement before Christmas.

Some speculation has suggested Harry and Meghan are already engaged but are yet to announce their exciting news because they want to “enjoy” their special moment together.
A source said: “Harry always planned to share the news only with fail at first so he could enjoy it before word spread.
“But they will make an official announcement soon.
“It’d be a security nightmare to do it sooner.
“She’d be followed everywhere.”

Prince Harry reportedly proposed to Meghan Markle

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry has reportedly proposed to Meghan Markle in secret.
The 33-year-old royal and his 36-year-old girlfriend has been dating for over a year now, and it is rumoured the pair are already engaged, but have reportedly decided not to announce the news yet because they want to “enjoy” their special moment together before it is broadcast across the globe.
Speaking about the red head’s relationship to Us Weekly, a source said: “Harry always planned to share the news only with fail at first so he could enjoy it before word spread.
“But they will make an official announcement soon.”
And it has been reported the reason the ‘Suits’ actress and Harry have been so quiet about their love life is because it would be a “security nightmare” if they were to open up about their supposed engagement whilst Meghan is still filming the popular TV show because she would need to be “followed” everywhere by bodyguards.
The insider continued: “It’d be a security nightmare to do it sooner.
“She’d be followed everywhere.”
During Meghan’s recent visit to London she was spotted being chauffeured around England’s capital in a black Volkswagen vehicle, which has set tongues wagging she is engaged to Harry, especially because the Duchess of Cambridge was driven around in a dark Audi A3 prior to her official engagement announcement.
And it is believed Meghan has been bombarded with requests from numerous fashion designers asking if they can make her wedding dress when her and Harry tie the knot.
Speaking previously, British designer Giles Deacon – who created Catherine’s sister Pippa Middleton’s dress when she married her partner James Matthews in May – said: “If Meghan Markle was in any way interested, I would be more than delighted. But I’m sure she’s got plenty of people on her list.”
