Dame Judi Dench will be honoured with the Richard Harris Award for outstanding contribution to British film

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Judi Dench will be honoured with the Richard Harris Award for outstanding contribution to British film.
The 83-year-old actress will be recognised for a career spanning six decades at the British International Film Awards next month, and she is proud of the achievement.
She said: “It has been my absolute privilege to spend almost 60 years working in the British film industry, one of the most vibrant and creative homes for filmmakers in the world.
“To be recognised with this award, which bears the name of the great Richard Harris and counts some of my favorite actors and actresses amongst its past recipients is a source of deep pride and a very special honor.”
The prize – named in honour of late big screen legend Harris – has previously been awarded to the likes of Daniel Day-Lewis, Julie Walters, John Hurt and Emma Thompson over the last 17 years.
2017’s recipient was ‘Julia’ star Vanessa Redgrave, who was awarded the gong by Harris’ son Jared.
On the subject of Dench receiving the honour, he said: “Dame Judi has stolen every scene she has ever been in, and stolen our hearts along the way.
“Although she hates being called a national treasure and prefers to be thought of as a jobbing actor, she is undeniably both the standard bearer and the gold standard for British Actors.”
The actress’ storied career has seen her appear on the big screen in projects as varied as ‘A Room With A View’, ‘Notes On A Scandal’ and the ‘James Bond’ movies.
The British International Film Awards will be held on December 2 in London, with ‘The Favourite’ leading the way with 13 nominations, while ‘American Animals’ follows closely behind with 11 nods.

Emily Atack made “more noise” skydiving on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ than her mother did when she gave birth to her

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Atack made “more noise” skydiving on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ than her mother did when she gave birth to her.
The 28-year-old actress made a spectacular entrance into camp on Sunday (18.11.18) evening’s show and her mum Kate Robbins has admitted she was stunned by her daughter’s “blood curdling” screams.
She said: “She made more noise doing that than I did giving birth to her.
“I’ve never heard such a blood curdling… Even though I knew she landed safely, all the family were there with a glass of wine and I was like ‘arghhhh’.”
And the former ‘Crossroads’ actress joked Emily’s family will be turning to alcohol to cope with watching her on the show if her screams don’t subside.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, she said: “If she’s going to make those screams every time, I feel like my liver isn’t going to be able to cope. Nobody in the family’s liver is going to be able to cope!”
The former ‘Inbetweeners’ star has been voted to undertake the first Bushtucker Trial of the series and Kate is a “nervous wreck” for her daughter.
She admitted: “I am nervous for her doing this trial, I don’t know [how she is with snakes]. I think she’d be more terrified of rodents and furry things, but it’s… I am a nervous wreck, honestly I am.”
But despite her fears, Kate thinks the show will be good for Emily because it will act as a type of “rehab” for the blonde beauty as a social media detox.
She said: “For Emily it’s going to be so good for her – well for all of them – no being on social media for three, four weeks. It’s unheard of isn’t it?
“I think she’s looking forward to not being on social media, it’s like rehab.”
And the ‘Sex Lives of the Potato Men’ actress isn’t expecting her daughter to come out of camp with a new boyfriend.
She quipped: “I think she’ll have very smelly armpits so she won’t find love in the jungle – foul breath, horrible armpits.”

Mark Hamill wanted Boba Fett to be Luke Skywalker’s mother

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Hamill wanted Boba Fett to be Luke Skywalker’s mother.
The ‘Star Wars’ actor has admitted he pitched the idea – which would have been a huge shock in the original trilogy – to creator George Lucas, but the filmmaker didn’t embrace it and went in a different direction with the prequels.
Taking to Twitter, Hamill revealed: “I once suggested it to George as the only way we could top Vader being my father. I envisioned her as a double-agent working clandestinely for the rebels.
“SPOILER ALERT: He didn’t like my idea… I have always been more than willing to generously share my many, many terrible idea in the off-chance we might stumble across one that could actually be useful. At the time, I didn’t even known Leia was my sister.”
Instead, prequel ‘Attack of the Clones’ established Boba – whose first big screen appearance was in ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ – as the clone “son” of mercenary Jango Fett, while Luke’s mother was Queen Padme Amidala.
Hamill’s comments come after it was revealed a standalone film about the bounty hunter has been “100 per cent” scrapped.
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy previously confirmed the project wasn’t going ahead, and instead the company wil be going full steam ahead on their highly-anticipated television series ‘The Mandalorian’.
Jon Favreau is casting for the live-action series ‘The Mandalorian’ and admitted the “Star Wars universe” will see the emergence of a new “lone gunfighter warrior”.
A statement from Favreau’s Instagram account read: “After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order.
“We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.”

ABBA’s Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus have confirmed they will host a masterclass for ‘The X Factor’ contestants

OHMYGOSSIP — ABBA’s Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus have confirmed they will host a masterclass for ‘The X Factor’ contestants.
The 71-year-old and 73-year-old stars will help out the six remaining semi-finalist acts this coming week and watch them perform ABBA songs from this year’s smash hit film ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’.
Benny said: “I am very happy to be hosting a masterclass and hear the last six contestants perform our songs.
“I am thrilled ‘The X Factor’ is celebrating the ‘Mamma Mia!’ film soundtracks.”
Björn added: “I am looking forward to being at ‘The X Factor’ studio on Saturday night and see how the contestants put their own spin on our songs just as Cher, Meryl Streep, Lily James and the rest of the cast did in the movies.”
The wannabe singers will perform some of ABBA’s greatest hits in a bid to earn a place in the ‘The X Factor’ final.
Show boss and judge Simon Cowell shocked the programme’s fans yesterday (18.11.18) when he announced he was changing the rules after his act Shan Ako was sent home, after she found herself in the bottom two alongside duo Acacia and Aaliyah.
The vote went to deadlock and it was announced that Shan would be going home, but Simon appeared on stage to announce he was changing the rules, meaning she and Bella Penfold – who was eliminated earlier on Sunday’s episode – will perform on the upcoming live tour.
He said: “Sometimes the rules change and I am changing the rules. So there will be eight acts in the tour, not six.”

Marvel Studios have unveiled an official timeline for the Marvel Cinematic Universe

OHMYGOSSIP — Marvel Studios have unveiled an official timeline for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Movie fans were left confused last year when it was claimed ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ – which stars Tom Holland as the web-slinger and his alter-ego Peter Parker – was set eight years after ‘Avengers’, which was later revealed to be “very incorrect”.
Now, a definite MCU time frame has been unveiled in the new ‘Marvel Studios: The First 10 Years’ book, clarifying where the big screen blockbusters all fit in.
One point to note is that ‘Homecoming’ is actually set just four years after the first ‘Avengers’ film, which makes the situation less confusing.
There has also been a change to ‘Iron Man’, which has been moved a couple years later from its original 2008 release.
However, there are still some issues with the new, official timeline given some of the dates clarified in the list.
While ‘Infinity War’ is now set to 2017 – despite assumptions it was set two years after 2016’s ‘Civil War’ – while ‘Black Panther’ has been moved to 2017.
That said, there’s a change everything could change again once ‘Avengers 4’ is released given reports it will feature a time travel plot.
There is also an omission with ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp’ not being included, but its mid-credits scene fits into the time frame of ‘Infinity War’, so it’s a safe assumption that it’s also set in 2017.
Official MCU timeline:
1943-1945: Captain America: The First Avenger
2010: Iron Man
2011: Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk, Thor
2012: Avengers, Iron Man 3
2013: Thor: The Dark World
2014: Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2
2015: Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man
2016: Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming
2016 through to 2017: Doctor Strange
2017: Black Panther, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War

Mel B and Eddie Murphy were “bursting with the best news ever” when they learned she was pregnant with their daughter Angel

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel B and Eddie Murphy were “bursting with the best news ever” when they learned she was pregnant with their daughter Angel.
The 43-year-old singer gave birth to her daughter Angel in 2007 – the same year she ended her romance with the Hollywood icon – and has said she isn’t sure where things went “spectacularly wrong” in their year long relationship, because they were both so happy when they discovered she was pregnant.
In an excerpt of her new memoir ‘Brutally Honest’, the Spice Girls star said: “When I got pregnant with Angel we jumped around his ensuite bathroom laughing and crying, bursting with the best news ever. My family thought it was great because they had never seen me so completely blissed out. Every day I would wake up and he would tell me I was the most beautiful, incredible woman. I’d never felt so in love. So, why did it all go so spectacularly wrong?”
The ‘Wannabe’ hitmaker noted that she and Eddie “lived in two different worlds,” but said that whilst they were together, he made her “happier than any man she had ever met.”
She added: “He was Hollywood, old school. I’m Leeds, comprehensive school. He was famous most of his life and had built himself his own private kingdom … where he could look after and live with his family and friends. I had spent my life trying to break walls down. Eddie made me happier than any man I had ever met.”
Mel – who also has 19-year-old daughter Phoenix with Jimmy Gulzar, seven-year-old Madison with ex-husband Stephen Belafonte – announced she was pregnant with Angel in 2006, and said 57-year-old Eddie was the father.
However, the ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ star later publicly declared that he would only believe he was the biological father if a paternity test was taken.
When a test was taken, Eddie was revealed to be the father.

Lee Ryan wants to return to ‘EastEnders’ alongside his dog, who can be “the new Wellard”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lee Ryan wants to return to ‘EastEnders’ alongside his dog, who can be “the new Wellard”.
The Blue singer has acquired a new pet pooch, a cavapoo called Georgie, and he is hoping his cute canine can follow in his footsteps and the famous paws of former Walford woofer Wellard – a Belgian Tervuren dog owned by Dean Gaffney’s alter-ego Robbie Jackson – by appearing on the BBC One soap.
When asked if he would go back to ‘EastEnders’, Lee – who played Woody Woodward – said: “I don’t know, maybe.
“Georgie could be like the new Wellard. I don’t think he’s like Wellard, he’s not hard at all.
“I’ve always wanted a dog, and he’s so sweet. We’ve bonded already.
“My kids can’t wait to meet him, they’re going nuts.
“Georgie is now going to be stitched to my hip. Where I go, he goes. He’s like my new little mate.”
Lee is to play the titular character in panto ‘Aladdin’ at London’s New Wimbledon Theatre over the festive period – and he is keen to land Georgie a part in the production, too.
The 35-year-old star said: “He’s going to be Aladdin’s street dog. I’m getting him an agent.”
Lee appeared on the latest series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ but was eliminated from the show second, just last month, and he has been inundated with people telling him he was booted out far too early.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, he added: “I was in a restaurant and people were coming up to me going, ‘You were robbed.’ I had so much fun, I loved it.
“I’m really privileged to be a part of it.”
Lee took to Instagram on Sunday (18.11.18) to reveal Georgie was a new addition to his family, and he is “so happy” to have a new four-legged friend.
He wrote: “I just want to introduce everyone to this little fella! His name is “georgie” I am so happy to have him… perfect timing in my life to invite this loving little soul into my life #cavapoo (sic)”

Frankie Muniz’s cat caused his house to flood

OHMYGOSSIP — Frankie Muniz’s cat caused his house to flood.
The former ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ star was already going through a hard time last week after attending the funeral of his late uncle, but things went from bad to worse when he returned home to find his home under 3 feet of water, thanks to his pet cat.
Detailing the events on Twitter, 32-year-old Frankie wrote: “I arrived home from my uncle’s funeral to find 4 of my 5 story brownstone home under 3 feet of water. Everything I own, destroyed. Every wall, piece of artwork, personal photos, furniture. All because my cat accidentally turned on a sink a few days ago while we were gone.
“I’m devastated and exhausted from a tough week with the loss of my Uncle Skip, 45 hours of travel to and from France to walk in to find this disaster. I’ve cried more yesterday and today then my whole life combined. Forgive me for venting. I just need some support.”
Frankie then praised his girlfriend, Paige Price, for helping him in the wake of his home’s devastation.
He wrote: “Thank God I have @paigey_price to help me get through this. I’d be lost without her. She’s so strong and exactly what I need.
“I know this sounds ridiculous, but I swear it’s true. You wouldn’t believe the destruction. (sic)”
In posts on her Instagram story, Paige revealed they were removing items from the house so repairs could take place.
She wrote: “Starting the process of removing every item today. Thankfully not all of our furniture is destroyed but, every single wall, floor, and ceiling has to be ripped out and replaced to reduce the risk of mould.”
But the bad luck didn’t stop there, as two days later, the ‘Dancing with the Stars: Juniors’ host took to Twitter to reveal he had been forced to evacuate the hotel he’d been staying in when “fire alarms” were set off.
Frankie wrote: “Just woke up to fire alarms and had to evacuate the hotel we are staying in because of what happened to our house. This has been an eventful week.”

Taron Egerton thought Kevin Spacey was an “audacious flirt”

OHMYGOSSIP — Taron Egerton thought Kevin Spacey was an “audacious flirt”.
The 29-year-old star worked with the disgraced actor – who has disappeared from public life after being accused by sexual misconduct last October by Anthony Rapp, prompting multiple accusations from other men – on ‘Billionaire Boys Club’ and though his co-star could be overly friendly, he was never “inappropriate” towards him.
Asked about the movie, which was shot in 2015 and flopped on release this year, he said: “I’ll happily talk to you about that. In some respects the movie didn’t turn out as strong as it could have done. That’s me being totally candid. There was a lot of jargon about investments and figures. An audience doesn’t go to the cinema for that, they go for character arc.
“It didn’t quite come together in the way it should have. Which is really disappointing and horrible for all the talented people who worked on that film.
“And then there was Kevin Spacey’s involvement. He was never inappropriate with me. There’s a fine line, though, isn’t there, between someone being an audacious flirt and being predatory? I thought he was the former. But it’s sad that his professional demise threw such a shadow over our film.”
Though Taron admitted he’s been subjected to advances from “flirty older blokes” in the past, he never felt “threatened” by anyone and thinks it is “unacceptable” that Spacey has allegedly made others feel uncomfortable.
Asked if he knows anyone affected by his alleged antics, he told the Sunday Telegraph magazine: “No. On the surface level, he’s flirty. He is not my first experience of a flirty older bloke.
“Even from the age of 17 or 18, I’ve experienced that and I’ve never felt threatened by that, although [Spacey] obviously has made some people feel threatened, and that’s unacceptable.”

Gigi Hadid “works hard” to honour her parents

OHMYGOSSIP — Gigi Hadid “works hard” to honour her parents.
The 23-year-old model – who is the daughter of former model Yolanda Hadid and property developer Mohamed Hadid – has blasted critics of her success, insisting she’s earned her right to be regarded highly because she’s never taken her privileged upbringing for granted, and nor did her mom and dad.
Speaking Reebok’s #BeMoreHuman campaign launch in Sydney, she said: “People think that I don’t deserve to be where I am because I come from a successful family, but my parents were f***ing hardworking.
“My Dad was a refugee, my Mum was on a farm, went to New York, sending money to her family – they worked their asses off and they gave me a life because of their hard work, and I work hard to honour that.”
The blonde beauty went on to discuss the criticism she received following her Vogue Arabia cover and confessed her boyfriend Zayn Malik had faced similar criticism so the pair have bonded over the public’s need to label them.
She explained: “I’m not, not Palestinian enough to be on the cover of Vogue Arabia, I’m not too pretty to study criminal psychology or to be a great volleyball player or great boxer, and f**k you if you think that because these are all things that made me feel!
“I talk about this with my boyfriend too – he’s half Pakistani and half English and there’s always this thing I feel like when you’re mixed race or when you come from two different worlds and you get to see how both sides treat each other and you kind of feel like the bridge of those two sides.
“I feel like the more we sit and talk about things like this the more we realise that when you start to mix race, or when you start to share these experiences and these conversations that people think they’re supposed to be separated, and you feel like there’s so much more reason to come together and celebrate each other.”

Khloe Kardashian admits she did some “not so mature things” when she found out Tristan Thompson had cheated on her

OHMYGOSSIP — Khloe Kardashian admits she did some “not so mature things” when she found out Tristan Thompson had cheated on her.
The 34-year-old reality star discovered her NBA star boyfriend had been unfaithful when video footage emerged of him getting close to another woman just days before the birth of their daughter True, now seven months, back in April.
And although she’s been hailed for her “mature” outlook on episode of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ – in which she allowed Tristan to be present at True’s birth – she admits that before she went into labour, she did her fair share of immature lashing out.
One fan on Twitter wrote whilst Sunday’s (18.11.18) episode of the E! reality show aired: “This is so mature, I would have run him over with his own car.”
To which Khloe replied: “oh well I did done not so mature things [knife, sweat and fist emojis] the day prior but I needed to get that out of my system. Namaste all the way in the hospital. (sic)”
During the episode, Khloe said she put her “personal feelings aside” when she went into labour, because having Tristan see his daughter being born was more important than the personal issues they were having.
She said: “It’s important for me to stick to my birthing plan, because this is something that I’ve waited for my entire life. I don’t want to take away anything from this moment. I’ve always been a big believer of don’t make permanent decisions off of temporary emotions. I want Tristan here with me, I want to experience this magical moment.
“I want this for me and my daughter, and for him, at the end of the day. I’m mature enough to say that. I’m mature enough to put personal feelings aside. Me and Tristan will deal with him and I at a later time, when this isn’t affecting our child.”
And following the tot’s birth at 4am on April 12, Khloe wasn’t focused on if she was going to stay with 27-year-old Tristan or not.
She added: “My focus is not if we’re going to be together or not. My focus is just on my daughter and having these beginning moments with my daughter and seeing him be such a great father to her – that’s really what’s important to me.”
Khloe has patched up her relationship with Tristan and is currently still with him, although sources have recently reported she still doesn’t fully trust him.

Tom Grennan says he’s going to be “away for ages” working on his second record

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Grennan says he’s going to be “away for ages” working on his second record.
The 23-year-old British singer/songwriter took to Twitter over the weekend to reveal his plans to “go to war” on his follow-up to his much-lauded debut studio album ‘Lighting Matches’.
He tweeted: “Thinking about making another record, no f***in about and going away for ages! I’m going to war with my next album, believe me x (sic)”
The ‘Praying’ singer previously revealed that he has wasted no time starting work on the follow-up to his debut LP, which was released in July and peaked at number five in the UK Albums Chart.
Tom teased that more collaborations are on the way after he and ‘Boys’ hitmaker Charli XCX have been writing together in the studio.
He previously revealed: “We’ve worked together in the studio, writing. She’s really cool.”
The ‘Found What I’ve Been Looking For’ singer admitted he doesn’t want to take too long before bringing out his second record as he wants to keep momentum going.
He added: “I’m not going to go away for too long. I don’t want to be forgotten about.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Royal Highness’ hitmaker recently admitted he would “love” to write a record with Liam Gallagher.
Tom – who met the former Oasis singer when they performed in August at the Sziget festival in Hungary – revealed the pair hit it off instantly and drank Guinness backstage before heading off to his lavish “penthouse”.
He said: “He wanted to meet me, so he asked for me to come to his dressing room. I had a Guinness with him, and then I said I wanted to go back to my hotel.
“He was like, ‘What you on about mate? F**king, you’re with me!’ So we jumped into his blacked-out Mercedes and went back to his hotel and were in his penthouse.
“We got stuck in and were just chatting about Oasis, my record … we had a lot of fun. I would love to write with him — so maybe that is something we can do in the future.”

Mike Skinner has revealed The Streets are set to release an album

OHMYGOSSIP — Mike Skinner has revealed The Streets are set to release an album.
The 39-year-old frontman has been in the studio collaborating with artists Chip and Grim Sickers on a track entitled ‘Call Me in the Morning’ which will feature in his upcoming musical movie and he intends to unveil an LP and play a host of festival dates.
Speaking to the new issue of Q Magazine, he said: “I’m going to be releasing more music as and when I feel inspired in the lead-up to the film.
“I’ve got a track that will be out by the time this runs, I think, called ‘Call Me In The Morning’ with Chip and Grim Sickers, which is really good. And I’m planning a mixtape during 2019, as well as getting back into the swing of festivals. Then I’m going to make my film, release my album and after that we’re going to buy the West End off Andrew Lloyd Webber.”
The album would be the first release by The Streets since 2011’s ‘Computers and Blues’.
The British rap group went on hiatus after touring that record – their fifth studio LP – but reunited this year for ‘The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light Tour’ and ahead of those shows they unveiled fresh song ‘Boys Will Be Boys’ in March.
Skinner’s film is inspired by US teen TV series ‘Dawson’s Creek’ – which began in 1998 and starred Katie Holmes and James Van Der Beek – and is a “farce” which centres around boys and girls getting into trouble in a club.
Speaking previously about his project, he said: “It’s a farce about guys and girls getting into trouble in a club. The story isn’t clever, it’s all in the dialogue, and that’s what I love. What was that teen show where everyone’s a philosopher? ‘Dawson’s Creek’ – it’s a bit like that.”
The ‘Dry Your Eyes’ hitmaker also revealed he is hoping to bring a “cleverness” to his writing.
He said: “I like [my characters] to say the things that they thought of when they’re walking home from a terrible argument, and thinking, ‘Oh, I should’ve said that.’
“Not political correctness, just cleverness. Because stories aren’t reality, they’re an exercise for the mind.’ ”

Emily Blunt was “completely shocked” and “slightly terrified” when she found out she was the first choice for Mary Poppins

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Blunt was “completely shocked” and “slightly terrified” when she found out she was the first choice for Mary Poppins.
The ‘Devil Wears Prada’ actress was so taken back by director Rob Marshall asking her to take on the iconic role for the sequel, ‘Mary Poppins Returns’, that she thought he was asking her to marry him.
Recalling their phone conversation on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, she said: “He called me, and I’d been friends with him for a while, and I knew there was sort of a different energy behind this phone call, it was so charged and he was so excited to tell me this news.
“I thought, he’s going to ask me to marry him.
“This is where I get married to Rob Marshall like it was building towards that.
“He was like: ‘Emily, we’ve been looking for something to do and we are going to do Mary Poppins.’
“I was like (speechless) I felt my hair sort of blow back.
“I was just completely shocked and terrified.”
When host Ellen asked if she had no idea about it until the call, she replied: “Nothing about it.
“No it was completely new to me.
“It was such a ceremonious phone call, and then you realise why.
This is such an iconic character, and then you realise how much of an imprint she’s made on people, and the first movie is so beloved.”
Emily recalled how when she told one of her close pal’s she landed the part, she replied: ‘Ooh, you’ve got balls of steel.’
She added: “I was like, ‘don’t say that’, it’s terrifying.”
‘Marry Poppins Returns’, a sequel to the 1964 classic, which starred Dame Julie Andrews in the titular role, is set to hit cinemas on December 25, and focuses on some of the material featured in P.L. Travers’ seven additional novels.
An official synopsis for the movie reads: “In Depression-era London, a now-grown Jane and Michael Banks, along with Michael’s three children, are visited by the enigmatic Mary Poppins following a personal loss.
“Through her unique magical skills, and with the aid of her friend Jack, she helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives.”
The new character of Jack, a street lamp lighter, will be played by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
On the “darker” plot, which sees the magical nanny return to look after Jane and Michael Banks’ children, Emily said: “It is a sequel that is set 30 years after the original … it’s set during the Great Depression, so it’s a bit of a darker backdrop.”

Noel Gallagher gave Bradley Cooper “rock star” advice for ‘A Star Is Born’

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher gave Bradley Cooper “rock star” advice for ‘A Star Is Born’.
The former Oasis rocker was on hand to help his friend – whom he’s known for six years – as he prepared to act and direct in the remake of the classic film.
Speaking to Q Magazine, Noel said: “He used to say to me, ‘I want to get it right’.
“The hardest thing in the world is pretending to be a rock star… For somebody who isn’t a singer or a guitar player he carries that s**t f***ing well.”
Gallagher – who has revealed he took Cooper to his first Glastonbury Festival – has also joked his pal stole his moves for the film, which saw him as fictional musician Jackson Maine mentoring rising star Ally Maine, played by Lady Gaga.
Referring to a moment in the film where Maine walks across the stage, bending both arms, and claps twice, the Britpop star joked: “I was like, ‘That is me. That’s my patented f***ing move!”
While Cooper, 43, took on the main role in the remake, it was recently revealed he actually wanted Jack White to play the male lead.
He admitted he had contacted a “musician” to play the lead in his Oscar-tipped movie without naming any names.
Variety has since confirmed that the person in question is former White Stripes frontman.
Speaking to the publication, Cooper said: “I saw this other person that I wanted to do this, who is an actual musician. But [the studio] wouldn’t make the movie with him.”

Dan Osborne credits ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ with saving his marriage to Jacqueline Jossa

OHMYGOSSIP — Dan Osborne credits ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ with saving his marriage to Jacqueline Jossa.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star and 26-year-old actress endured a rocky period during their relationship earlier this year, but the pair are “stronger” than ever after the 27-year-old hunk became a “reformed man” following his stint on the Channel 5 show.
Admitting they feel like “newlyweds” again, Dan told the latest issue of OK! Magazine: “Our relationship is better now than it’s ever been. Since getting back together, it feels like we’re stronger and we appreciate each other so much more.
“In a way we have a lot to thank ‘CBB’ for, because the time apart made us realise what we were both missing.
“Things between us are really good right now, it feels like we’re newlyweds again.”
Jacqueline – who has three-year-old Ella and Mia, four months, with the reality star – added: “This is very much a delayed honeymoon for us.
“Our relationship went through a difficult patch this year but now we’re back on track and we wanted to do something to mark our fresh start.”
The couple, their two daughters and Dan’s son Teddy – whom he has with ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin – recently enjoyed a family vacation to Dubai, which they admit was “very much needed”.
Former ‘EastEnders’ star Jacqueline said: “With Ella, Mia and Teddy to look after, it’s very hard for us to spend any quality time together.
“After everything that’s gone on between us we really felt like we needed to get away and reconnect with each other.”
Dan agreed: “Jacqueline is a great wife and a great mum so she deserves to be spoilt.”
Jacqueline, 26, previously admitted Dan – who she first started dating in 2013 – is a changed man after ‘CBB’.
She said: “We’re really good. It’s crazy – five years in and we’re starting the honeymoon period.
“We’re equally messy, but I tidy up and he doesn’t. Actually, he’s a reformed man since ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
“He obviously went in the ‘CBB’ house thinking, ‘Someone will do everything for me,’ like his mum did and like I do now, but he had to fend for himself. Now he’s like, ‘I can do this, let me try.’ It’s very refreshing.”
