Cher was snubbed by Sonny Bono

OHMYGOSSIP — Sonny Bono was more interested in Cher’s friend when they first met.
The 72-year-old singer has recalled how she first crossed paths with her late ex-husband at a party, and it was her “really beautiful” pal that caught her eye.
In a preview clip of her SiriusXM special, ‘The Cher Show: Making the Musical’ obtained by People, she recalled: “I was with my girlfriend, who was really beautiful. He liked her, so he didn’t really say anything to me. He was like, ‘Oh, yeah, kid.’ ”
But the pair ended up dancing with one another because “neither one of our partners danced”.
And in a twist of fate, Sonny – who died in a skiing accident in 1998 – “moved in next door” to the ‘Believe’ singer the following day – and she quickly invited herself to move in with him as she needed a new place to stay.
She said: “I just went up and said, ‘Hi, listen, I’m going to have to move out of our apartment ’cause I’m sick. I don’t have any money. I don’t want to go home. I just want to get out and do things and I don’t know what I’m going to do, but I don’t have anyplace to live and blah blah blah.’ ”
Sonny agreed to let Cher stay when she lied and said she could “cook and clean” after he quizzed her – but he also warned the ‘Mamma Mia! 2’ star that he didn’t find her “particularly attractive”.
She continued: “He said, ‘OK. I have twin beds. You can stay in my house. I don’t find you particularly attractive.’ And I said, ‘OK.’ And I didn’t cook, but he did.”
The pair went on to form their musical duo Sonny & Cher and married in 1964, but divorced six years later. They had one child together, Chaz, now 49, who was born a girl and named Chastity but underwent gender transition 10 years ago.

Alan Carr goes tee total for husband Paul Drayton

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Carr has given up booze to support his husband.
The ‘Chatty Man’ star’s partner Paul Drayton turned to alcohol while the comedian was away so often on tour, and now they have gone tee total together in a show of unity.
According to the Mirror, Alan quipped at a show in London this week: “He’s been sober for 161 days. I haven’t had a drink during this time either… or a smile.”
Alan, 42, has been open about Paul’s battle with alcohol in the past, and admitted his own career was partly to blame.
He previously said: “He had a few issues with alcohol, a lot of the time because I was away so much. I neglected my personal life.”
Alan managed to help Paul get his life back on track, but he’ll never forget the mixed emotions he felt before he had to carry on with work.
Speaking in 2016, he explained: “He’d been to rehab a couple of times. Paul came to me a while ago and he told me ‘I need help now.’
“He kept saying to me, my life is out of control. He’s fine now, he’s sorted.
“I’ve been in bits before I stepped on stage but you have to get on with it. Sometimes it actually helps, it is like a tonic, you need the applause.”
Alan and Paul tied the knot together in January and it was revealed that global pop star Adele got ordained to play a big role in the special day.
As well as marrying the pair in her back garden in Los Angeles in front of just four people, she also insisted on paying for the entire day.
Alan previously revealed: “It was a very special day. She was amazing. She got ordained. I said, ‘Let me pay for something,’ and she said, ‘No, I’m paying.’ She paid for the whole thing.”

Louis Tomlinson: Simon Cowell annoyed me on X Factor

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Tomlinson says Simon Cowell has annoyed him on ‘The X Factor’.
The former One Direction star – who was part of the superstar boy band put together by the media mogul – has admitted the talent show boss has got on his nerves during their time together on the judging panel.
He told The Sun newspaper’s TV Bizarre column: “I knew that Simon was annoying. He’s been annoying me a bit on the panel, but we’ve had a bit of a laugh, so that’s been good.”
Viewers won’t be too surprised by Louis’ comments, after he’s been seen clashing with Simon a number of times over the current series.
Earlier this month, he fired back after the 59-year-old star – who he joins on the panel alongside Robbie Williams and Ayda Field – tried to take credit for one of Brendan Murray’s song choices.
He ranted: “I chose it actually Simon. You certainly didn’t choose it.”
When his boss tried to suggest he’d sparked the idea with a phone call, Louis, 26, argued: “No Simon. No, you certainly didn’t.”
And even earlier in the series, the pair also clashed after Simon branded one of Brendan’s performance as “really boring”, prompting Louis to tell him to “shut up” as he insisted it wasn’t memorable.
However, the contestant’s mentor responded: “Well, Brendan obviously I completely disagree. I put the pressure on you this week I wanted you to pick the song.
“Pipe down Simon, just for a sec. I thought you really really delivered and Simon doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”
The two judges will be going head to head in this weekend’s ‘X Factor’ final, with Louis’ acts Dalton Harris and Anthony Russell facing off with Simon’s protege Scarlett Lee.

Sam Allardyce joins Celebrity Apprentice

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Allardyce has reportedly signed up for the new series of ‘Celebrity Apprentice’.
The football manager – who left his role at Everton in May and has previously coached the England national team – is said to be set for the upcoming Comic Relief special of the reality show.
Lord Sugar is a big fan of football himself – having spent a decade as chairman of his beloved Tottenham Hotspur until 2001 – but he will be judging Sam’s skills as a businessman when they meet in the boardroom.
The Sun newspaper’s TV Bizarre column has reported the star will be part of an all-star cast when the celebrity edition of the BBC show returns for the first time since 2009.
As well as Allardyce – who follows the example of fellow manager and current ‘I’m A Celebrity’ campmate Harry Redknapp by moving to reality TV – the likes of Amanda Holden, Rylan Clark-Neal and Russell Kane are set for the special charity series.
It’s said will be joined by ‘X Factor’ judge Ayda Field following reports in June claiming she has signed up for the show.
An insider said at the time: “Ayda was flattered to be asked on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’.
“It’s another great chance for her to build her public profile on one of Britain’s best loved shows. It’s also one of her favourites.
“She’s competitive as well as intelligent and has a great sense of humour so producers thought she would be a perfect fit.”
This will mark the third celebrity edition, with the first coming over a decade ago in 2007 and featuring ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter Piers Morgan.
Speaking about his longtime rival, Lord Sugar previously claimed: “It was me that launched his television career – seriously, absolutely serious.
“He actually phoned me up when he heard ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ was on, and he said ‘please can I do it?’ and that’s the first time he appeared on television.”

Poppy Delevingne plays it safe

OHMYGOSSIP — Poppy Delevingne worries about looking “too out-there” at big events.
The 32-year-old model-and-actress likes to play it safe if she’s unsure of the dress code for a particular function and goes to her classic little black dress with bold shoes and make-up.
Speaking to Vogue Australia, she said: “If I am very unsure of a dress code, I like to keep it very, very simple. I think it’s always a little scary if you go too out-there.
“For me, what I’ll do is maybe a little black dress with a statement heel and a red lip. Nothing too out-there that’s going to get me into trouble.”
The ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ actress is no stranger to attending prestigious events and was recently a guest at the royal wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank on October 12, at Windsor Castle, and thought that the bride was “more beautiful than she’d ever seen her”.
She said: “It was beautiful – the whole thing was beautiful, she was more beautiful than I’ve ever seen her, just the most glowing bride. It was really a weekend to remember.”
The star wore a pale blue Oscar de la Renta dress and coat paired with a Victoria Grant hat adorned with vegan feathers to the event, and Poppy explained that sustainable fashion is something she’s particularly passionate about.
She said: “I think sustainability is something that is so, so, important especially now and it’s impossible to ignore what’s going on in the world, and we all have our part to say.
“I do think we’ve all got a huge responsibility to now wear more ethical and sustainable fashion and so taking these strong stances, I think it’s exciting.”

Maisie Williams debuts pink tresses

OHMYGOSSIP — Maisie Williams has dyed her hair pink.
The 21-year-old actress is known for her short brown tresses whilst playing Arya Stark in the fantasy drama, ‘Game of Thrones’, but now the show has wrapped filming, it seems she’s seized the opportunity for a change as on Thursday (29.11.18), she showed off her new cotton candy locks on her Instagram Story.
The British star didn’t allude to her dramatic new look, instead using the short clip to promote an upcoming HBO event in Brazil.
Maisie has finished work on the highly-anticipated eighth and final season of the HBO fantasy drama series, and previously admitted the show is still “very much” a part of her life – though she felt she’d exhausted the role once she wrapped filming.
She said: “It’s still very much a part of my life. I got to the end and I didn’t want more. I had exhausted every possible piece of Arya. And this season was quite big for me. I had a lot more to do.
“Mainly because there’s just less characters now, so everyone’s got more to do.”
The final season of the show is shrouded in mystery, but Maisie thinks her character got the “perfect” ending – even though the assassin was out on her own.
She said: “I ended on the perfect scene. I was alone – shocker! Arya’s always bloody alone. But I was alone and I had watched a lot of other people wrap. I knew the drill, I had seen the tears and heard the speeches.”
Maisie made her own “unplanned” speech after the cast finished filming ‘Game of Thrones’ and she realised how much the show had “meant” to her.
She added: “It wasn’t something I planned, but in that moment I realised what the show meant to me.”

Ozzy Osbourne got infection from manicure

OHMYGOSSIP — Ozzy Osbourne almost died after having a manicure.
The Black Sabbath rocker was forced to cancel a string of gigs in October after contracting an infection in his thumb and he revealed he had to undergo emergency surgery following a disastrous trip to a beautician.
He said: “I’m having the best time of my life – apart from that f***ing thing with my thumb, and I didn’t realise that it was very dangerous.
“I was in hospital for a couple of days and had emergency surgery, and I remember waking up in the morning and [my wife] Sharon said: ‘What the f**k have you done to your hand?’
“The funny thing is they reckon I got it from a manicure! It won’t stop me from heading to the UK in February.”
Though the 69-year-old star has recovered from the infection – which saw his thumb swell to the size of “a lightbulb” – he struggled to do anything in the days after his surgery.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “I’m right-handed. You can’t wipe your own a**e. And I didn’t have many f***ing volunteers who would do it for me.”
Ozzy recently admitted he was warned he “could die” if he didn’t cancel tour dates to recover from the infection.
He said: “I said to Sharon, ‘What the f**k am I gonna do for the gig?’ Then the doctor said, ‘You must be f***ing crazy. You get another staph infection, and you could die.’
“He said, ‘One’s enough. You’ve got three individual ones.’ ”
And the ‘Paranoid’ rocker was surprised when medics told him not to rush his recovery.
He added: “To be honest with you, I didn’t feel that bad all along. I said to the doctor at one point, ‘When can I work out?’ He said, ‘You can do whatever you like, but I don’t advise you to for at least 10 days.’
“I tried working out for two minutes and I thought I was gonna f***in’ die, because the antibiotic knocks the wind out of your sails big-time. So I went, ‘You know what? I’ll let the doctor be the doctor and I’ll be the patient.’
“So now compared to what I was like, I feel about 85 to 90 percent better. So I’m well on the mend.”

Emily Blunt loves having emotional husband

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Blunt loves that John Krasinski is a “bit of a crier”.
The 35-year-old actress’ spouse recently confessed he couldn’t stop the tears from falling when he watched her in the title role of her new movie ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ and she’s pleased he was “overcome with joy”.
She told ‘Extra’: “He’s a bit of a crier. I love that in men. He was just so overcome with joy and that’s what everyone feels coming out of this film.”
While Emily – who has daughters Hazel, four, and Violet, two, with John – jumped at the chance to be in the music, she was worried about taking on such an “iconic” role, especially as Mary was originally played by the equally legendary Dame Julie Andrews.
She said: “It is all kind of crazy. I was instantly in, but also full of trepidation, she’s so iconic and Julie Andrews is so iconic, so how do I do my version of her?”
And the British actress didn’t particularly enjoy shooting scenes where the magical nanny flew through the air.
She said: “I didn’t love it, it’s being 60ft in the air and dangling from a crane and just hoping someone attached the wire from it.
“I feel like Tom Cruise hanging off that building – though he’d have loved it and it would have been a walk in the park for him, doing the entrance.”
John recently admitted he went through an entire box of tissues while watching the movie for the first time.
He confessed: “I tried to prepare them for how emotional it is. The first time I ever saw it, they give you a tissue box in the screening room. I was like, ‘Oh that’s very nice, I don’t have a cold.’
“And they started screening the movie and 25 minutes into the movie I stood up and went to the back of the room and Emily said, ‘Do you not like it? I’ve never seen this happen.’
“I was pushing through all of the muffins and bagels that were in the back looking for napkins.
“I was like, ‘I need anything to stop this crying!’ I was crying so much I blew through the tissue box in 20 minutes, had to go to the napkins, and then when I ran out of napkins it was all sweater.”

Paloma Faith: ADHD stops me going to the theatre

OHMYGOSSIP — Paloma Faith avoids going to the theatre because of her “mild ADHD”.
The 37-year-old singer doesn’t often go to see plays because she believes she has a form of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder – which makes it hard for her to concentrate during a 90-minute show.
However, she admits she was captivated by ‘Jerasualem’ with Mark Rylance and Mackenzie Crook which she see saw in London which she found to be an emotional rollercoaster.
She told ES Magazine: “I don’t go to many plays as I think I have mild ADHD, but did catch ‘Jerusalem’ starring Mark Rylance. I cried, I laughed and I had a mild existential crisis.”
The ‘Only Love Can Hurt Like This’ singer grew up in Hackney, London, passionately loves her hometown and would even like to be buried along the No. 73 bus route which runs along East London because she has so many fond memories of that journey.
She said: “East London will always be my home where I live because it’s where I’m from. I want to be cremated, and scattered along the 73 bus route.”
Paloma used to love catching the bus but now she has to relies on taxis to get around the city because getting on a double decker requires her to pose for too many selfies.
She said: “I travel by taxi I’m afraid. It used to be bus: top deck, front seat, left-hand side. But now I have to do several selfies to get on a bus.”

Katie McGlynn doesn’t agree with Sinead’s cancer decision

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’ star Katie McGlynn thinks it is “very dangerous” to treat cancer with just holistic therapies like her character Sinead Tinker is doing on the ITV soap.
The 25-year-old actress is in the middle of a serious storyline in which her alter ego Sinead has been diagnosed with cervical cancer but has decided to spurn chemotherapy because she is pregnant, without telling her husband Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) that she has stopped the treatment recommended by doctors.
Sinead is trying to deal with the cancer by becoming vegan and trying alternative therapies but in real-life Katie thinks it would be the wrong choice.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun Online, she said: “I personally believe it’s very dangerous because people need to realise cancer is a huge thing. Of course it is a huge thing, and to try and treat it only with complimentary therapies as Sinead is trying to isn’t wise. It is a medical diagnosis that people need to medically treat. Complementary therapies will help in a certain way but the main way for actual treatment is the chemotherapy.”
“Sinead’s friend [Steff] believes in holistic therapy and complimentary therapies and she does not believe in chemo so when Sinead befriends her, she thinks that’s the way to go about fighting cancer.”
Katie – who has been in ‘Corrie’ since 2013 – admits she has been stunned by the huge reaction from viewers to the plot and it has made her work even harder on set to do every scene justice.
She added: “I feel a bit humbled by it. I don’t know what to say other than thank you. Literally every performance is from the heart, I always try to bring my feelings to it, and I will carry on doing that. If you’re an actor, on television or not on television, with a story like this you have to use real emotions. That’s just what I’ve done so far and I hope it’s OK.
“All I can say is thank you. I’m just glad viewers are happy with the performance. I’ve been really nervous with it because I don’t want to offend or upset anyone.”

Channing Tatum not fit enough for Magic Mike Live

OHMYGOSSIP — Channing Tatum doesn’t feel body confident enough to perform as a stripper in his ‘Magic Mike Live’ stage show.
The 38-year-old actor portrayed the titular character Mike Lane in the 2012 comedy-drama movie, which follows the life of a male stripper and his life at the club, and reprised the role again for the 2015 sequel ‘Magic Mike XXL’.
Following the success of the two films – which are loosely based on the Hollywood star’s own experiences of working as a stripper in Tampa, Florida – Channing created and co-directed ‘Magic Mike Live’, a striptease experience featuring dance routines and acrobatic stunts which has been hugely popular since opening at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas in 2017 and has now come to London at the Hippodrome Casino where it will run until October 2019.
Although he is in good shape, Channing feels insecure next to the ripped dancers in his show and admits he would have to train very hard before even considering appearing shirtless on stage.
Channing – who is currently dating singer Jessie J – told the Evening Standard newspaper: “I love dancing and I love these guys and performing. But when you stand up there with your shirt off next to them with the way they look … I don’t work out on an everyday basis. I know everyone thinks I do but I do not. If I ever get in that shape again I will absolutely be in the show for a weekend or something.”
The ‘Dear John’ star wanted the show to make people feel “liberated” and is passionate about promoting “equal opportunity objectification” as he understands that in society, it is usually men who stare at scantily-clad women for gratification.
He said: “I don’t want anybody coming and being scared of not being in control of their own body, they should feel liberated and empowered by the entire experience. I’m all for some equal opportunity objectification. It’s been the other way for so long so I think it’s just fine.
“But I’m completely aware some men aren’t comfortable with it, but this one is.”

Mandip Gill grateful for Hollyoaks role

OHMYGOSSIP — Mandip Gill never intended to stay on ‘Hollyoaks’ for over three years but she had such a “good time” she stayed on.
The 30-year-old actress joined the Channel 4 soap in 2012 as Phoebe McQueen in what was her first major television role.
Mandip initially believed it would be a short-term project but she stayed because she made such “amazing friends” and had such fun on set every day but she is sure she left at the right time.
Speaking on The Two Shot Podcast, she said: “I was in ‘Hollyoaks’ for three-and-a-half years playing the same part, I made this business move, I was like, ‘You know what, I could stay in ‘Hollyoaks’ for years, I can see why people do it.’ I made amazing friends, I lived in Liverpool in my own flat, it was a really good job because it was like being at university but we were getting paid for it, just having a really good time and they offered me a new contract and I was like, ‘I have to be brave now.’ I never wanted to stay there for three-and-a-half years anyway but I just got carried away.”
Mandip lived with her co-star Steven Roberts, who played George Smith, when she was on ‘Hollyoaks’ and she can’t thank him enough for the advice and help he gave her at the start of her television career.
She shared: “You’re working five or six days a week, an absolute machine, you go in there for 10 or 11 hours and it’s just constant, even if it’s not your storyline you’re supporting someone else’s storyline and I was fortunate to be in it all the time … I lived with Steven Roberts and he was already on ‘Hollyoaks’ before I got there and he was so organised and he was an amazing actor and he was like, ‘I use these stickers and it tells me what scene I’m on and what date.’ I got into this beautiful habit where on the side of my file it would tell me everything I was doing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, I was on top of every scene and I knew where I’d been and where I was heading and the big things that had happened that I needed to remember, so it weren’t that difficult. To me that was just a given because it was first job and I thought they were all like that.”
Mandip is currently wowing audiences as TARDIS traveller Yasmin Khan in the current series of ‘Doctor Who’ opposite Jodie Whittaker, but she will always be grateful to her start on ‘Hollyoaks’ because it taught her so much about how to act in a major TV series.
She said: “A lot of people turn their nose up at soaps and in particular ‘Hollyoaks’ but you learn so much, you learn how to hit your marks, how to get to work on time, how to work with so many people because the cast is like 60 or 70 people of all different ages, all different backgrounds, it’s really loud and you’re there all day and it’s really fast.”

Paris Hilton said ‘no’ to Simple Life reboot

OHMYGOSSIP — Paris Hilton said “no” to ‘The Simple Life’ reboot.
The socialite appeared on the series – that ran for five seasons until 2007 – alongside her childhood best friend Nicole Richie, 37, which saw the pair leave their privileged lifestyles to take on a variety of blue collar jobs, such as working on a farm and a fast food eatery.
Paris “loved” the show but refused to appear in a reboot because her schedule was too “insane”.
Speaking to Gay Times magazine, she said: “I think the biggest misconception is that people still think I’m the ditsy blonde for ‘The Simple Life’. What most people don’t know is that it was a character that I came up with for the show and created for several reasons. I had so much fun doing it and I love being able to prove people differently today.
“They actually approached me to re-do it again but my schedule was so insane that I didn’t have time to do it so I said no , but it would be pretty epic. It changed my whole life since it was the first of its kind. There really was nothing out there like it in the world. After that show, I got to go all around the world and it really started my career in this business.”
The 37-year-old blonde beauty became globally famous from the series but at the time she found it “overwhelming” dealing with the constant “attention”.
Paris added: “It was definitely overwhelming dealing with all the attention and cameras and people and media, constantly writing these crazy stories and making things up. That part was hard for me, but now I’ve been in this industry for so long that it’s just normal to me. But in the beginning, yeah, it was definitely overwhelming. What’s next? World domination. I’m just going to continue working hard, living life to the fullest, releasing new products music and DJ-ing around the world. Just being a boss babe and killing it.”

Rachel Weisz fascinated by juxtaposition in Disobedience

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Weisz is fascinated that her new film ‘Disobedience’ tackles the juxtaposition between modern liberal beliefs and traditional religion.
The drama film is about two lesbian lovers living in an Orthodox Jewish community in Hendon, North London – set just “a few stops on the Northern Line away” from where the 48-year-old actress grew up – and Weisz thinks it’s important to understand that being homosexual is still “taboo” in some communities, despite changes in law and attitudes.
In an interview with the Daily Mail newspaper, she said: “I love the fact that it’s contemporary. It’s just a few stops up the Northern Line where I grew up – and people are living in a community where to be gay is taboo. You cannot stay in that community if and be a gay man or gay woman. I thought the juxtaposition of modernity and this old, deeply traditional world would create a very interesting drama. ”
The movie – which is adapted from Naomi Alderman’s 2006 novel of the same name – stars and was produced by Weisz and follows the story of New York photographer Ronit Krushka as she travels to back London, to the Orthodox community that shunned her decades earlier for her attraction to her friend Esti, played by Rachel McAdams.
The ‘Mummy’ star explained how her character Ronit – the daughter of a respected rabbi – struggles to balance her faith and her sexuality.
She said: “She wants to be who she really is, and she wants her faith. But you can’t have both there.”
The movie was directed by Sebastian Leilo – and Rachel praised the discreet way in which he shot erotic scenes between her and McAdams, whose alter ego Esti has hidden her lesbianism and got married to a man.
She said: “Sebastian wanted the scene to be focused on their faces. Besides being very romantic and emotional and passionate, it gives Esti the courage to come out.”

Bradley Walsh wants West End role

OHMYGOSSIP — Bradley Walsh wants to play a lead role in the West End.
The 58-year-old actor, comedian, singer, television presenter and former professional footballer believes he has had a very fulfilling career, including starring roles in ‘Coronation Street’ and ‘Doctor Who’, but he is yet to tread the boards in London and he intends to fulfil that dream.
He told Radio Times magazine: “The only thing I haven’t done is taken a lead role in the West End. You’ve got to take each day as it comes and you’ve just got to thank the Lord you’re still alive and kicking and doing what you love. You shouldn’t have any regrets about whether you got the job or you didn’t get the job. If you didn’t get it, it wasn’t meant to be.”
Brad is currently playing companion Graham O’Brien, a retired bus driver who is quietly suffering and coming to terms with the loss of his wife, in ‘Doctor Who’ opposite the Time Lord Jodie Whittaker and he is delighted that he has received critical acclaim for his performances
He said: “Grief is hard to handle, anyone that’s ever felt grief knows it’s not over in the blink of an eye … It’s not a very nice subject to portray but I’ve actually quite enjoyed that as an actor.”
Although it is widely believed he will be back for a second series as Graham, Bradley has no intention of giving up his job as the host of game show ‘The Chase’.
He said: “Doctor Who’s brilliant and we have such a laugh on all my entertainment shows. I’m Brad on ‘The Chase,’ that’s genuinely what I’m like, and I’m not Brad on ‘Doctor Who’. I like both.”

Infinity War nearly included Marvel’s Netflix heroes

OHMYGOSSIP — Anthony and Joe Russo considered “borrowing” characters from the Netflix Marvel shows for ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.
The directing duo’s blockbuster included numerous Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes outside of the traditional Avengers squad, such as Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), and now Joe has admitted there discussions to include some of the TV characters from ‘The Defenders’, ‘Daredevil’, ‘Jessica Jones’, ‘Luke Cage’, ‘Iron Fist’ and ‘The Punisher’ programmes.
Speaking to Collider about why none of the Netflix heroes made it into the final script, Joe said: “Yes, of course we talked about all that stuff but you can see how many characters there are in the film. It’s very difficult when you’ve got shows that are being written when you’re also trying to create movies that are not happening on the same, just from a production standpoint, at the same time that the shows are being produced. It’s impossible for us to correlate story between three or four other marvel films that we’re borrowing characters from and then to add the TV shows in on top of it. It just becomes an experiment that would break. We felt that the best way to tell the story was to stay with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”
‘Avengers 4′ is due to hit cinemas in May 2019 and Marvel veteran Mark Ruffalo, who portrays Dr. Bruce Banner and his giant green alter ego the Hulk, has previously admitted the ending for the movie is undecided.
He said: “We don’t even know what it’s gonna be yet. We’re not just doing re-shoots. We’re going to finish the movie, which we really didn’t get to finish totally when we left it last year.
“I don’t even know that [the Russos] really know exactly. Some of it is happening while we’re there. It’s pretty amazing. And we’ll shoot some stuff and a few days later come back and reshoot it ’cause we wanna take it in another direction. It’s a very living organism; even as we approach it being a locked picture, we’re still working on it.”
