Kris Jenner disappointed by Jordyn Woods

OHMYGOSSIP — Kris Jenner and the Kardashians are “disappointed” with Jordyn Woods.
The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star’s family are still reeling at Jordyn after she kissed Khloe Kardashian’s partner Tristan Thompson.
A source told E! News: “The family has done so much for Jordyn. To say they are disappointed is an understatement. She was a friend to all of the girls and they are stunned and in disbelief.”
Jordyn had previously confessed that she couldn’t “eat or sleep” after news broke of her tryst with Tristan and whilst she knows she did wrong, she doesn’t think she “deserved” to receive death threats.
She said: “The crazy thing is, the arms that I thought would be around me are nowhere to be found. The first few days of this were definitely the hardest. I couldn’t eat, I didn’t eat for days. I couldn’t look at my phone, even. I just tried to sleep and hope that I’d wake up and this wouldn’t be true. Every time you refresh the page it’s another person bullying, or wishing death upon me, or telling me something like, ‘Your father deserved to die.’ I may have done something wrong, but whatever I did, I don’t think I deserved this. It’s just, it’s not fair. If I was a weak person, I would have hurt myself. It’s even hard for me to say this … everyone’s safety is now … we can’t leave the house. My brother can’t go to work. My sister can’t go to school. She’s 12 years old. My mother can’t even go to the grocery store.”

Lauren Jauregui won’t be defined by sexuality

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Jauregui’s sexuality doesn’t “define” her.
The Fifth Harmony hitmaker has been open about her sexual orientation but doesn’t want it to define who she is as a person.
She told EUPHORIA magazine: “For me, it is who I am, but it doesn’t define who I am, the same way no one’s sexuality defines who they are. It’s awesome to be proud of the love you’re able to express in this lifetime. I would prefer if most of the headlines weren’t about [my sexuality], but I understand the sensationalisation of sex in our culture so I don’t really care too much at the same time. I get it, people like to talk about who people are f***ing.”
Lauren had previously insisted she “could fall in love with anyone.”
She said: “I’ve learned so much, even about the gender binary since I came out as bisexual, and I’m sure that I could fall in love with anyone as long as their soul was genuine. That’s all that really matters to me. I don’t care about the physical. I care about your trauma and s**t, and if you’re projecting that s**t on to me, but that’s really it, because, at the end of the day, we’re all just humans and if we’re attracted to each other, we’re just attracted to each other. I explore that fluidity all the time … I’m so grateful that, every day, my family is so supportive of my dreams and who I want to be as a person. They never tried to make me feel like I had to be something… Maybe it’s ’cause they knew that they couldn’t tell me that s**t, ’cause I was so set on what I wanted to do my whole life.”

Shane Rimmer has died

OHMYGOSSIP — Shane Rimmer has died at the age of 89.
The actor, who was best known for providing the voice of Scott Tracy in the television series ‘Thunderbirds’ from 1965 to 1966, has tragically passed away at the age of 89, his former co-workers have confirmed.
Shane also appeared in several James Bond movies throughout his career, and Bond historian Mark O’Connell and producer Jonathan Sothcott both took to Twitter to confirm the sad news of the actor’s passing.
Jonathan wrote: “RIP that fine character actor SHANE RIMMER – a great face (and voice) in some of the best loved family films of the 70s: THE SPY WHO LOVED ME, WARLORDS OF ATLANTIS, STAR WARS. Thunderbirds. Amazing career. #ShaneRimmer (sic)”
Whilst Mark added: “‘What’s the matter, sailor? Never seen a Major take a shower before?’
“Four Bond bullets, three SUPERMAN movies, one STAR WARS, a ROLLERBALL, a DR STRANGELOVE and Scott Tracy…
“RIP to the godfather of “I know that guy” casting – Mr Shane Rimmer. #RIPShaneRimmer (sic)”
Shane was born in Toronto, Canada, in 1929 but emigrated to the UK in the late 1950s where he performed as a cabaret singer before landing the famous role as the pilot of Thunderbird 1.
Beyond his role in ‘Thunderbirds’, Shane also became a celebrated British TV actor, and held the role of Joe Donnelli in ‘Coronation Street’ from 1968 to 1970.
In the soap, his character held Stan Ogden hostage before taking his own life in some of the street’s darkest scenes.
He then reappeared on the cobbles in 1988, where he played the father of Audrey Roberts’ son Stephen.
Shane is survived by his wife Sheila, as well as their sons and grandchildren.

Liam Neeson profoundly apologises after ‘racist’ comments

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Neeson has “profoundly apologised” after he was accused of being “racist” for comments he made about a friend being raped.
The 66-year-old actor came under fire after he controversially and candidly confessed to trying to provoke a fight with a black person after a female friend was raped and he has now clarified his comments, explaining he was expressing the unexpected “primal urge” to lash out.
He said in a statement: “Over the last several weeks, I have reflected on and spoken to a variety of people who were hurt by my impulsive recounting of a brutal rape of a dear female friend nearly 40 years ago and my unacceptable thoughts and actions at that time in response to this crime. The horror of what happened to my friend ignited irrational thoughts that do not represent the person I am. In trying to explain those feelings today, I missed the point and hurt many people at a time when language is so often weaponised and an entire community of innocent people are targeted in acts of rage. What I failed to realise is that this is not about justifying my anger all those years ago, it is also about the impact my words have today. I was wrong to do what I did. I recognise that, although the comments I made do not reflect, in any way, my true feelings nor me, they were hurtful and divisive. I profoundly apologise.”
At the time, Liam admitted his primal urge “shocked” him.
He said: “I remembered an incident nearly 40 years ago where a dear friend of mine was brutally raped. I was out of the country. When she came back she told me about this and she handled the situation herself with incredible bravery, I have to say that. I had never felt this feeling before, which was a primal urge to lash out. She said he was a black man. After that, there were some nights I went out deliberately into black areas in the city looking to be set upon so that I could unleash physical violence, and I did it for four or five times until I caught myself on. It shocked me, this primal urge I had. It shocked me. It hurt me.”

Angelina Jolie makes passionate speech

OHMYGOSSIP — Angelina Jolie has called for the eradication of sexual violence in warzones.
The ‘By The Sea’ star made the impassioned speech as she attended the UN Defence Peacekeeping Ministerial in America on Friday (29.03.19).
She said: “Around the world there are countless examples of women rising, taking leadership, taking their destiny into their own hands, inspiring all of us. But women and girls are still the majority of the victims of war. They are over half of all refugees, and the vast majority of the victims of rape and other sexual and gender-based violence. Women are at the absolute epicentre of modern conflict, in the worst possible sense. But more often than not they are still on the outside looking in when it comes to politics and decisions about their future. If we went by the principle that those affected by a problem should be in charge of determining the solution, then the majority of the world’s peace negotiators, foreign ministers and diplomats would be women. We all know the reality.”
And the 43-year-old actress – who was appointed special envoy for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in 2012 – believes equality for men and women will help make the world a more peaceful one.
Speaking at the conference, she added: “Denying half a population representation in peace negotiations or in government is not the route to long-term stability. As long as we continue to put almost every other issue ahead of women’s rights and participation, we will remain stuck in a cycle of violence and conflict. We will have learnt nothing. And our institutions will count for far less than they should.”

Kris Jenner prays for her kids

OHMYGOSSIP — Kris Jenner “prays” for her children.
The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star knows the family are faced with “challenging” situations all the time but she keeps things going by staying positive for the sake of her children.
Speaking On Air With Ryan Seacrest, she said: “First of all, I pray about it. I really do. I find that, you know, just the spiritual side of me has to kick in because otherwise, I feel like I wouldn’t survive. I think that my kids make really good decisions. As challenging as some of these situations are, I think that because they have one another and they try to make really good decisions, that they’re gonna come out the other side with a lot of clarity and a lot of honesty, and do what they feel like is the right thing. And I really trust all of my kids to make those good decisions.”
And Kris previously insisted she knows the family empire wouldn’t be so strong if her offspring weren’t so passionate about what they do.
She said: “I think that what I’ve learned over the years is how to find that balance and [know] what each one of my kids is capable of. One thing that I couldn’t have all the greatest ideas in the world if I didn’t have kids with an amazing work ethic and creativity. My job is affected by the fact that they’re so engaged everyday. It’s really great and so that makes the biggest difference at all.”
And though Kris guides her kids with their businesses, she leaves the creative decisions to them.
She added: “With Kim [Kardashian West] and Kylie [Jenner] and the beauty brands, I’m really involved on the business side. When they get into their creative mode with the contouring shades and what the next collection of Kylie’s lip line is they really have absolute control. Anything I say will probably be overrided. [Kylie will] say ‘Mom you don’t understand green lipstick’ and I’ll be like ‘No I don’t.’ I think that instinctually they’ve always landed on their feet so they know what they’re doing and I try to stay out of that.”

Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel expecting second child

OHMYGOSSIP — Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel are expecting their second child.
The 35-year-old model and the Snapchat founder are set to become parents for the second time, just 10 months after they welcomed son Hart into the world.
They said in a joint statement: “Miranda, Evan, Flynn and Hart are looking forward to welcoming the newest member to their family.”
Miranda – who is also a mother to eight-year-old Flynn, who she has with actor Orlando Bloom – previously admitted she “definitely” wants another child.
She said of the prospect of being pregnant again: “Not right this second, but yeah, definitely at some point. I love being a mum. It’s just the most rewarding thing.”
But if she does have another baby, Miranda will take care to ensure her sons don’t feel left out as she admitted Flynn confided in her that he felt “frustrated” not to get to spend as much time with her as he used to after Hart was born.
She recalled: “About a month after Hart was born, Flynn said to me, ‘Mum, I’m a little frustrated.’ He said, ‘I know I was the one who wanted a baby brother – like, I know it was my idea … But I’m feeling a little frustrated that I don’t get as much time with you as I used to.’ I was like, ‘I know, but honey, you know it’s not going to be like this forever.'”
Miranda has embraced her “mum-bod” and doesn’t mind that she might never get her old body back.
She said: “It’s really important as women that we’re gentle with ourselves and don’t feel like we have to snap back into shape after a baby…it’s OK, I’ve got a mum-bod and it’s fine! I don’t mind. It’s all part of it. I took nine months – well, 10 months – to grow a beautiful child and it might take 10 months to feel good in a swimsuit again. Or longer. Or never!”

will.i.am: Michael Jackson allegations are part of ‘racist smear campaign’

OHMYGOSSIP — will.i.am says the allegations made against Michael Jackson are part of a “racist smear campaign”.
The ‘Scream and Shout’ hitmaker has branded the claims made by James Safechuck and Wade Robson in the HBO documentary ‘Leaving Neverland’, where they claim that Michael sexually abused both of them after befriending them when they were children, as part of a “smear campaign” against the singer.
He said: “I don’t know what to trust or who to believe. Who is behind it or what? Obviously it’s money. All I know is it’s a smear campaign. If he did it, then it’s sad and inhumane. But if he didn’t, then what is happening is sad and inhumane.”
will.i.am worked with Michael before his passing and praised him for being a “genuine and big-hearted person”.
He added: “The Michael Jackson I loved I will always love. The person I met was the kindest and most genuine and big-hearted person, who wouldn’t hurt a fly.”
Some have called for Michael Jackson’s music to be banned in the wake of the allegations but will.i.am has fumed at this, liking it to “not doing anything with anyone who ever did anything ill in the past?”
Speaking at Elstree studios, he shared: “We live in a very, very, very, very hypocritical, double-standard, fake society. I can name a thousand other products that we still buy, still use, that are owned by folks that have done the most horrendous things to people, millions of them, and we don’t take their products from the market. You’re not talking about banning Bayer that made the chemicals to kill all the Jews. You’re not talking about real s**t and yet you want to flex on a song? Bayer is really responsible for chemicals that killed millions of people but they’re headache medicine now.
“Are you going to ridicule them for their past? Are there reparations that need to be done for that? Imagine every country that ever had slaves, people said never travel to those countries because of what they’ve done in the past. Are you not supposed to do anything with anyone who ever did anything ill in the past?”
The Michael Jackson estate has hit back at the allegations made by James and Wade, branding both accusers “perjurers” and “admitted liars”.

Tom Holland’s family keeps him grounded

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Holland’s family keep him grounded.
The 22-year-old actor credits his parents and his brothers for keeping him humble despite his huge celebrity status.
He said: “My parents and brothers are such cool people that they wouldn’t really let my life change that much. I’ll come home from a hard day’s work and my mum will tell me to do the dishes, ‘It’s your turn.'”
Tom rose to fame playing the titular role in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and it is a role he has wanted since he was a young boy.
He added: “I’ve been playing Spider-Man in my bedroom since I was a kid. I grew up watching the films and I watched all the cartoons. I was kind of obsessed with him. When I walked on set for my first day it was my first day on the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) but it was my thousandth time playing Spider-Man so I felt like I had it in the bag … I feel like a lot of Superheroes are very abnormal people. Tony Stark is a billionaire, Captain America is a super solider, Thor is a god and I just think that it’s nice to have a kid.”
Tom likes how superhero movies help people to “forget” all the “horrible things” going on all over the world.
He told Man About Town magazine: “There seem to be horrible things all over the world, and these films are a really nice way to forget about the world in which we’re living, enter into this magical world, enjoy a bit of freedom and watch these people who we admire and who we look up to do good and ultimately save the day.”

Jada Pinkett Smith unfollows Kardashians on Instagram

OHMYGOSSIP — Jada Pinkett Smith has unfollowed the Kardashians on Instagram.
Although the 47-year-old actress was a close friend of the reality TV family, she recently unfollowed matriarch Kris Jenner and her daughters Kim Kardashian West and Khloe Kardashian on the picture-sharing platform, due to the fallout from the Tristan Thompson cheating scandal, TMZ reports.
Jada recently took Jordyn Woods’ side after the model – who was best friends with Kris’ daughter Kylie Jenner – was accused of hooking up with Tristan, the father of Khloe’s baby True.
Jordyn – whose late father was a good friend of Jada’s husband Will Smith – appeared on Jada’s ‘Red Table Talk’ to discuss the incident, during which she admitted Tristan kissed her, but insisted she did not kiss him back.
Jada is said to have “made it clear” that everyone should try to put the cheating incident behind them but the Kardashian family’s new trailer for ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ season 16 has shown that they are not ready to let it go.
Jordyn was reportedly left devastated after the show’s new trailer aired this week, as it shows Khloe breaking down in tears over the allegations.
Speaking about the trailer, a source told Us Weekly magazine: “[Jordyn is] obviously mortified by the trailer, and her mom is upset about it too, but they expected it. It’s still difficult to relive, and Jordyn is glad to be out of L.A. while everyone is talking about it. It’s humiliating and she is still haunted by it. She’s trying to look fabulous on social media, but it’s still a lot for any person to deal with.”
In the clip, Khloe can be seen crying as she opens up about the alleged affair – which caused the end of her relationship with Tristan – and says it has been tough working through such a difficult period in the public eye.
She said: “It just sucks it has to be so public. I’m not just a TV show.
“Like, this is my life… Tristan might love me, whatever that means. He has no respect for me whatsoever.”
Later in the trailer, Khloe – who shares 11-month-old daughter True with the NBA star – is seen screaming in the car while she’s on the phone.
She shouts: “My family is ruined.”

Danielle Lloyd’s eldest son has therapy

OHMYGOSSIP — Danielle Lloyd’s oldest son is having therapy to cope with anxiety.
The 35-year-old model – who has Archie, eight, Harry, seven, and five-year-old George with ex-husband Jamie O’Hara and 18-month-old Reggie with fiance Michael O’Neill – enlisted professional help for the youngster and has found it’s helped him to open up to her more and she thinks parents shouldn’t be afraid to seek assistance from outsiders when they are struggling with their children.
She told Closer magazine “Archie’s only eight but he’s a sensitive boy. “I’ve taken him to a therapist and it’s helped him open up to me.
“Now if he has any worries, he’ll tell me.
“I want my kids to know it’s OK to talk about their feelings.
“And it’s a good lesson for us parents to learn that we can ask for help if our kids are struggling too.”
Danielle has been open about her own battle with anxiety and has learned to combat her feelings with exercise and refusing to shut herself away.
She said: “People say, ‘You’re on the telly – how can you have anxiety?’ They haven’t got a clue.
“We all have the same worries. It’s hard to know what the trigger is, but I’m a shy person and life can be hectic.
“Earlier, I had so much anxiety, my heart was beating out of my chest at what felt like a million times an hour.
“I was breathing heavily and felt sick.
“I’ve learned it’s better to leave the house, see people, and talk about it, as that’s therapy in itself. “I’ve also started doing breathing exercises at home too.”
The brunette beauty – who underwent emergency surgery in 2012 after her breast implants burst – admitted her previous cosmetic surgery was done because she felt so “rubbish” about herself so she should have sought to tackle the underlying issues instead.
She said: “I had surgery before because I felt rubbish about myself.
“I’d been in abusive relationships and felt s**t.
“I didn’t need a boob job – I needed a therapist!”

Mahershala Ali: Black actors don’t get cast on potential

OHMYGOSSIP — Mahershala Ali believes African-American actors “don’t get cast on potential”.
The Oscar-winning actor’s major career breakthrough came playing fixer Remy Danton in ‘House of Cards’ and he thinks the role gave other casting directors “permission” to put him in their projects.
He said: “I had many years of auditioning, booking gigs, almost booking jobs and making some real allies in the business – people who wanted to cast me in things but I just wasn’t a big enough name.
“What ‘House of Cards’ did was give people permission to cast me.
“It can be frustrating. Just to be frank with you, African-Americans don’t really get cast on potential.
“I hope that now I will have a window where I can finally do a lot of the kind of work I’ve been wanting to do for a long time.
“I’ve spent a long time playing the man next to the man next to the man. Finally, I’m getting to play the man!”
The 45-year-old star plays Wayne Hays in ‘True Detective’, a role originally written for a white actor, but Mahershala persuaded series creator Nic Pizzolato it would work better if the cop was black.
He told heat: “I found myself really responding to Wayne and his journey.
“It was the only character I was really interested in playing. I felt like it would be more interesting in terms of the narrative to see a black lead detective in 1980 navigating a homogenous community in the South while trying to solve this crime.
“Hayes already stands out, just as a lay person. But now he’s a police officer trying to operate wihin this community…
“I even sent some pictures of my grandfather (a former cop) to Nic, as a way of pushing home the point of how the drama would be heightened if the character was black.”

Drew Barrymore wants to make another movie with Adam Sandler

OHMYGOSSIP — Drew Barrymore wants to make another movie with Adam Sandler.
The close pals have already co-starred in three films ‘The Wedding Singer’, ’50 First Dates’, and ‘Blended’ but Drew says she would make movies with Adam “forever” if she could.
When asked if she would like to work with any of her previous co-stars again, Drew, 44, told PEOPLE: “Adam Sandler, obviously, just because I want to make movies with him forever.
“We just talked on the phone the other day. We talk on the phone often, and we were like, it feels like something, I don’t know. We always get like a time and an instinct thing. We’ve done it three times now, so we know we have more to go.”
Drew previously revealed that she hoped to forge a legendary onscreen pairing, like that of Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy, with Adam.
She said: “[I thought] I want to be a modern weird Hepburn, Tracey old Hollywood couple.”
However, she admitted that their first meeting was not a success.
Drew explained: “We looked like the worst blind date you’ve ever seen. I showed up with purple hair and a leopard coat and he was in his classic cargo pants. As soon as I saw him I was like ‘Yeah you’re going to have to see past all this because we have the potential to do something meaningful’.”
But their on-screen partnership has been so successful that Drew plans for them to continue making movies together for as long as they can.
She recently explained: “Adam and I text all the time about our next thing, and we’re like, ‘We’re so fat. We’re so old. What the f**k?’ Literally, the last thing I suggested to him was like ‘On Golden Pond?’
“Adam and I have done a movie every 10 years, three decades in a row. You cannot mess with that. We will do our 10-year at 40. We just haven’t figured out what it is yet.”

Francis Rossi: Rick Parfitt ‘died’ months before he passed

OHMYGOSSIP — Francis Rossi feels Rick Parfitt “died” months before he actually passed away.
The Status Quo rocker – who died from sepsis in December 2016 – suffered a heart attack in Turkey while on tour in June that year and his bandmate doesn’t feel he was ever the same after the medical emergency.
Francis said: “His sons don’t like me saying this but he wasn’t the same [after the heart attack].
“For me, he died on the floor in that hotel in Turkey. “When I saw him in hospital, he thought it was 1984.
“He said he was putting a new band together with John Edwards who’d just played on his solo album. “He’d done that album in the 80s. I thought, ‘Oh s**t, he thinks it’s 1984.’
“Sometimes though, the old Ricky came back.
“He phoned John one day and said, ‘I’m sat on my sofa naked, watching sport on the telly.’
“That was Rick all over – naked, on the sofa, watching TV.”
And the 69-year-old singer doesn’t feel the friend he remembered was still “there” before he died.
Asked if he misses Rick, he told MOJO Magazine: “I miss who he was, but the bloke I loved wasn’t there any more.”
Last year, the ‘Down Down’ hitmakers went back on the road, with Richie Malone stepping in to replace Rick on guitar, and Francis felt they had made the “obvious choice” with the musician.
He said: “Rick heard Richie play and said, ‘S**t, he’s good isn’t he?’ He was the obvious choice.
“I’m not sentimental, probably because I was bred to go into retail.
“One of my relatives owned most of Deptford.
“When he died, the rest of the family were dividing up his business at the funeral – ‘OK, you can have numbers one to 37 on Friendly Street…’
“That’s how it was. The show has to go on.”

Claire Holt welcomes baby boy

OHMYGOSSIP — Claire Holt has given birth to her first child.
The ‘Vampire Diaries’ actress and her husband Andrew Joblon – who tied the knot in Beverly Hills, California, in August – welcomed son James Holt Joblon earlier this week.
Andrew shared a picture of his wife and son on Instagram and wrote: “Claire – you are my hero. Thanks for doing such a good job cooking this sweet little boy. Baby James Joblon 3.28.19 – 10:23pm.”
Claire also shared a picture of the tot and added the message: “James Holt Joblon. Everything they say is true. There is no love like it.”
Claire – who previously suffered a miscarriage – announced her pregnancy in October, two months after her wedding to Andrew.
She wrote on Instagram: “My heart is bursting. I’m so happy to share with you that we are having a baby! It still doesn’t feel real. These past few months have been filled with excitement, anxiety, tears, joy, uncertainty but most of all gratitude. You never forget the deep pain of loss. It dims with time but it informs many of your experiences. Our loss earlier this year was the darkest moment of my life. Yet, it made me infinitely more thankful for the precious baby growing inside me today. I want to take a moment to acknowledge all those struggling with miscarriage, infertility or any of the difficulties that come with bringing new life into the world. I know that these announcements can hurt. I’ve felt it all. My heart is with you and I pray that our story gives you hope. Thank you all so much for your love and support – I can’t wait to share this journey with you.”
Claire has admitted that pregnancy had been tough, especially as she approached her due date.
She recently wrote: “I’ve posted plenty of ‘gram worthy shots these past few months but not enough of the real sh*t. Pregnancy is NO JOKE. I figured I would be one of those women who popped off her spin bike and popped out a baby – alas, the universe had other plans. My pelvis feels like it’s going to split in half, I have a ninja practicing his roundhouse kicks on my ribs, and the whole needing-to-pee-every-5-mins thing is getting pretttty old (mainly because it takes me 10 mins to get up from the couch)… (sic)”
However, Claire added that despite the annoying symptoms, she was “so grateful” to be having a “healthy” baby boy after the couple previously went through the devastating miscarriage.
The 30-year-old actress also made a shout out to all of the “badass women” having children.
She added: “I’m so grateful to be carrying a healthy baby, but I am definitely struggling. So, until this little dude decides to join us, you’ll find me here (watching BRAVO), worshipping all the badass women who’ve gone before me. (sic)”

Stevie Nicks and Janet Jackson inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

OHMYGOSSIP — Stevie Nicks and Janet Jackson have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Nicks, 70 – who was previously admitted into the Hall of Fame for her work with Fleetwood Mac – made history as the first female to be inducted twice as she was honoured on Friday (29.03.19) for her solo career.
And both women used their acceptance speeches at the ceremony at the Barclays Center in New York to call for more women to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Stevie said: “For me to tell you a story from my heart, about what this means to me, is very hard … because this has never happened to me before. [It’s only happened for] 22 men and four — zero women, and now one woman.
“[Now] I’m like, ‘Hey man, I can do it!’ Now I’m telling all my friends. The girls in Haim? I’m like, ‘Okay you guys, you gotta really get it together now. One of you needs to step away. And don’t break up your band, just do an album so you have it. Because it’s gonna take 20 years before you get in! So you’ll already be like, 60.’ Again, this is the problem of getting in. I started Bella Donna in 1979. I had been in Fleetwood Mac for not even four years, more like three-and-a-half years… This is a hard thing to do. Because you have to — the times are different. It’s like — it’s going to be hard, But I know there’s somebody out there that will be able to do it because I’m going to give you all the directions and I’ll do enough interviews and say what to do.”
And Janet called for more women to be included as she followed in the footsteps of her brothers, The Jackson Five, who were added in 1997 and her brother Michael in 2001.
