Anne Hathaway has quit drinking

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne Hathaway has quit drinking for the next 18 years.
The 36-year-old actress says she’s decided to put down the bottle for the foreseeable future, because she doesn’t want to be hungover when her two-year-old son Jonathan – whom she has with husband Adam Shulman – needs her during the morning school runs.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’, the ‘Ocean’s 8’ star said: “I quit drinking back in October, for 18 years. I’m going to stop drinking while my son is in my house just because I don’t totally love the way I do it and he’s getting to an age where he really does need me all the time in the morning. I did one school run one day where I dropped him off at school, I wasn’t driving, but I was hungover and that was enough for me. I didn’t love that one.”
Meanwhile, Anne previously revealed she feels at “greater peace” now she is a mother.
She said: “I’m happy when things are simple. Since having a kid, I find it a lot easier to do that.
“The day begins with a checklist: ‘Is he breathing? Is he healthy? Is he growing? Is he thriving?’ If I get four yeses it’s really hard to upset my day.”
The ‘Devil Wears Prada’ actress also admitted she wasn’t “satisfied” with the life she led before becoming a parent.
She added: “I just wasn’t feeling satisfied by the other stuff. It was too stressful and kept me at a distance from things that I loved.”
And when pressed for what the “other stuff” was, Anne replied: “Oh, just you know, breathing! I think I was searching like everybody for greater peace.”

Chloe Ferry lands her own MTV show

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloe Ferry has been given her own MTV reality show.
The 23-year-old ‘Geordie Shore’ star is set to follow in the footsteps of co-stars Vicky Pattison and Charlotte Crosby, as she’s landed her own spin-off show entitled ‘Chloe Ferry Is A Grown Up’, which will follow her life outside of the show which made her famous.
A source said: “Chloe is over the moon to have been handed her very own TV show and she can’t wait to share what goes on in her very busy – and very grown up – life with fans.
“These days, her world is a far cry from how she started out as a 19-year-old newbie on Geordie Shore and while Chloe still loves a night on the Toon with her mates, life couldn’t be more different.”
Chloe’s boyfriend Sam Gowland, also 23, is set to appear alongside her on the show, which will see Chloe go from party loving youngster to savvy businesswoman on her journey to be a “grown up”.
The insider added to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “She and Sam, who will star alongside her on the show, share two homes together, have been rumoured to want to get married and Chloe works extremely hard on her successful beauty business.
“But her seemingly perfect life is far from plain sailing at times as Chloe faces daily abuse from internet trolls and has endured some very public rows with Sam on raucous nights out…fans who are after a bit of drama won’t be disappointed.”
Chloe was first revealed back in December to be filming a new show with Sam, and it now seems the programme will be centred on her life outside of ‘Geordie Shore’, which she began starring on in 2015.
Meanwhile, the 19th series of the popular MTV reality show was confirmed this month when it was announced filming has already begun, and Chloe will continue to be a cast member on the show.

Shirley Ballas ‘very blessed’ for dancing return

OHMYGOSSIP — Shirley Ballas felt “very blessed” to return to dancing on the ‘Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour’.
The BBC One ballroom and Latin show’s head judge, 58, won several championships during her prime, rightfully earning her the title The Queen of Latin.
Shirley stopped dancing competitively in 1996, and so
it was a big moment for her when she hit the dancefloor at Birmingham Arena over the weekend, where she wowed the audience with her moves.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It feels incredible to dust off my dancing shoes again – I feel very blessed.
“I love being out there dancing and being able to meet fans of the show.”
According to a source, the Liverpudlian didn’t even require training for her impromptu performance.
An insider added to the tabloid: “It all comes naturally.
“She still has a gift for dance and the audience agreed.
“It was a brilliant moment and she gives the ‘Strictly’ pros a run for her money.”
Shirley’s stage comeback came after she revealed she has returned to dating.
The ‘Dancing with the Stars’ commentator is believed to have been on a number of dates with panto star Daniel Taylor.
The glamorous dancing professional – who is twice divorced – has been getting to know her ‘Jack And The Beanstalk’ co-star, who is 14 years younger than her, since they shared the stage in the show over Christmas at the Liverpool Empire theatre.
According to The Sun newspaper, the pair were spotted looking cosy on a recent date in London.
An onlooker said: “Shirley and Daniel looked like young lovers who didn’t have a care in the world. It was very sweet to see.”
Shirley is said to be taking things slowly, with an insider insisting the pair are not in a relationship.
They added: “She has been in the very early days of dating Daniel. But she is not in a relationship and he is not her boyfriend.
“Shirley has been open about being single for the past four-and-half years but feels ready to put herself out there again and start enjoying life.”
Shirley shared several selfies with Daniel and her other co-stars on social media, and reportedly called him a “very funny handsome man” in one of the snaps.
Her dates with Daniel came after she revealed she had been seeing someone “nice”.
The northerner admitted while appearing on ‘Lorraine’ that she had a new man in her life, and that her son Mark, 32 – whom she has with second husband Corky Ballas – helped her to build up her confidence to get back in the dating game.
When host Lorraine Kelly asked if she was currently seeing someone, she remained coy but said: “Yes, I have met somebody nice.”

Dermot Mulroney for 2 Men and a Pig

OHMYGOSSIP — Dermot Mulroney is set to star in ‘2 Men and a Pig’.
The 55-year-old actor has landed the lead role in the upcoming buddy comedy movie, which is set to be directed by Ted Collins, and will also feature Neal McDonough, James M. Connor and Dina Nina Martinez as part of the ensemble cast.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the indie movie – which is in production by Gritty Films Productions – follows the story of two brothers and a ceramic pig named Charlie on one final road trip, where they become criminals on the run from the law and their past.
Dermot will star as Rick, one of the brothers, whilst ‘Parks & Recreation’ star Jim Connor will play his sibling Michael.
Neal McDonough will play Texas Ranger Walkyre Alabama, while also executive producing, and comedian Dina Nina Martinez has been cast as a character named Rosalita.
Ted Collins will direct the feature from a script developed by James R.W. Cornetet, and will also share a producer credit with Raz Cunningham.
For Dermot, the role comes after he recently joined the Amazon series ‘Homecoming’ as a recurring guest star.
His most recent movie credits include Max Martini’s ‘Will Gardner’, Nathan Frankowski’s ‘The Chickasaw Rancher’ and Scott Speer’s ‘I Still See You’, while his previous credits also include ‘Dirty Grandpa’, ‘Jobs’ and ‘Zodiac’.
Dermot previously starred in ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding’ with Julia Roberts, and said he would be keen to star in a sequel to the 1997 movie.
He said: “I don’t know what it will take. If all it took was for everyone to ask us and wish it to be, then it would be done. So thank everyone for their ongoing wishing and hoping, right? But I don’t know where [those characters] would be. Divorce is in the mix, same-sex marriages, anything could happen, right?
“They’re great beloved characters. It’s so rewarding for me that people continue to imagine that story, maybe going a different way. It just shows what a great classic that movie really always has been.”

Lin-Manuel Miranda ‘in talks for Moana sequel with Latina princess’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lin-Manuel Miranda is reportedly in talks for a sequel to ‘Moana’ – but with a “Latina princess”.
The 39-year-old actor-and-composer’s father Luis has revealed his son has held discussions with Disney to work on another film for the franchise, which tells the story of the titular Polynesian teenager – voiced by Auli’i Cravalho – who sails out on a daring mission across the ocean to save the people on her island.
Luis told The New York Post’s PageSix column: “He is talking to Disney about a sequel to ‘Moana,’ but the movie would be about a Latina princess.”
If Disney gives the project the go-head, Lin-Manuel would be responsible for creating the first-ever Latina Disney princess.
The ‘Hamilton’ creator composed the music for ‘Moana’ and even performed ‘We Know the Way’ and duetted with Jordan Fisher on ‘You’re Welcome’ for animated blockbuster.
Though Disney are yet to comment on a ‘Moana’ sequel, it would be no surprise if they were considering working with Lin-Manuel again, as the 2016 movie received rave reviews for Miranda’s songwriting.
The actor also received Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice, Oscar, and Grammy Award nominations for the song ‘How Far I’ll Go’.
Meanwhile, the Broadway star recently starred in Disney’s ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ and the director of the movie has hinted that a follow-up film is in the pipeline.
Rob Marshall admitted discussions about another movie were in the “early stages”, with Emily Blunt expected to return as the titular star if the film gets the green light.
He said: “It is early stages, but I will say right now that there were eight books, so there’s a lot of great material still to mine.
“That’s what we worked from, those incredible eight books of P.L. Travers. So, you know…”
Due to there being so many novels in the series, Marshall hinted there could be multiple films to come, which could see the franchise go on for as long as the ‘Star Wars’ and James Bond series.
He added: “Listen, how many ‘Star Wars’ films have there been, you know what I mean? Or James Bond films.
“If there’s a great character and story to tell, why not?”
Producer John DeLuca said: “Emily does light up when she speaks to me about it. And if the people want it, I think it will happen.”
Lin-Manuel played the significant part of cockney lamplighter Jack in the movie – so it’s likely he would be brought back for another movie with Blunt.

Pearl Jam album impacted by Chris Cornell’s death

OHMYGOSSIP — Pearl Jam say the death of Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell has impacted their new album.
The ‘Black Hole Sun’ hitmaker – who was also a member of Audioslave and Temple of the Dog – passed away in May 2017 when he took his own life, and now Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament has said his death has been “tough” for the band to deal with, and has in turn delayed their work on a new album.
He said: “It’d be fun to record or even just write a song together. I think when Chris [Cornell] passed, that’s really been a tough one to wrap our heads around, and then there’s just life stuff.”
The ‘Even Flow’ musicians – also comprised of Eddie Vedder, Mike McCready, Stone Gossard, and Matt Cameron – insist they are “going to make a record” in the near future, but they’re still “in the middle” of the process.
Guitarist Stone Gossard said: “We’re going to make a record, and we’re in the middle of it. We’re just going to keep plugging away until we get one done.”
To which Jeff added: “We’ve gone in, probably, four or five times in the last couple of years, so we have a whole ton of unfinished stuff. We’re just sort of in a little bit of limbo. I’m sure everybody’s got a bunch more riffs, and I’m sure Ed’s got a handful of journal lyrics. It’s just going to take us all getting into a room together for six weeks and just knocking something out.”
Jeff already has plenty of music which he would like to use on a Pearl Jam record, but says if it doesn’t work out, he’ll use it as solo material instead.
Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine, he said: “Some of the stuff, it could turn into Pearl Jam stuff, and if I get a big group of songs together, I’ll just put it out as a little solo release, which I’ve done three of or something. When I do those, it’s mostly to clean off the shelves and finish stuff; it’s stuff that has been on the Pearl Jam shelf for a few years and nobody is really responding to it.”
A new Pearl Jam album would mark their first since 2013’s ‘Lightning Bolt’, and their 11th overall.

The 25-year-old singer has insisted she never intended to offend anyone with her lyrics to the hit record, which is from her upcoming record.
The controversy surrounds the line: “You like my hair? Gee, thanks, just bought it…”
Following the release of the track, one of Ariana’s fans sarcastically wrote on Instagram Stories: “White women talking about their weaves is how we’re gonna solve racism.”
Ariana shared the post with her followers, saying she had “so much love” for the fan responsible for the message.
Although Ariana subsequently decided to delete her post, the message was captured by The Shade Room, prompting a backlash against the singer.
But Ariana has now issued an apology, saying it was “never my attention to offend anybody”.

A source told The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: “David is a giant of British broadcasting.
“He has been the people’s champion, putting questions from viewers to politicians and using remarkable skill and often forceful encouragement to get proper answers back.
“He has been, and still is, a key part of Britain’s cultural landscape. He has been chief commentator for countless state occasions, including royal weddings and the 1997 funeral of Princess Diana.
“He not only anchored TV coverage of the first referendum on Europe in 1975, but repeated the role for the EU referendum announcing Leave had won.”
Previous winners of the Special Recognition trophy include Billy Connolly, Sir Bruce Forsyth and Joanna Lumley.
Cherished presenter David chaired the BBC’s flagship political programme ‘Question Time’ from 1994, but he decided to walk away from the role at the end of 2018, insisting it was “the right moment to leave”.

Chris Packham to confront Royal Family about fox hunting

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Packham plans to confront the Royal Family about fox hunting when he collects his CBE from Buckingham Palace.
The 57-year-old naturalist is determined to question “someone of influence” about the activity, and says he doesn’t care if his “cheeky words” will be deemed “inappropriate”.
Chris told Radio Times magazine: “There will be lots of cheeky little words, I assure you. Nobody ever gets off the hook around me.
“You don’t get many opportunities in life but if I meet someone of influence I will use it. I don’t care if it can be deemed inappropriate, it’s important to say something.
“If it [the award] had been for broadcasting, I don’t know what I would have done. But it’s for services to nature conservation, and that’s what I’m all about.”

He previously said: “The greatest thing about ‘The Really Wild Show’ is that it was imaginative, innovative, educational and entertaining.
“It ticked all those boxes and as a consequence it was very, very popular.
“The legacy that it has is that it seemed to inspire lots of young people to go into careers to do with the environment, conservation and natural history, which is very reassuring.”

Rob Lowe beat addiction with fitness regime

OHMYGOSSIP — Rob Lowe developed a passion for health and fitness in order to beat his battle with addiction.
The 54-year-old actor has been sober since he was 26, and says he managed to stay away from his vices by channelling his addictive behaviour into health and fitness, including falling in love with surfing.
He said: “[Health and fitness] became an outlet for all of the tension, stresses, compulsivity. I funnelled the addiction, frankly, into that.
“[With surfing,] you’re always chasing a high that you’re probably not going to ever repeat. Conditions change, so no waves ever just stay the same. Nothing can ever stay the same. Nothing.”
The former ‘Parks and Recreation’ star is unconventional about his workouts, and although most people blast their favourite gym playlist whilst they exercise, Rob prefers to put himself in a state of “forced mental solitude”.
He added: “I like the forced mental solitude of it. Inevitably, it will force you to start working through things you’re not going to if you’re listening to Jay-Z.”
And Rob – who has 26-year-old son Matthew, and 24-year-old son John with his wife Sheryl Berkoff – also insists he’s become “vain as f**k” when it comes to his body, but believes all men are vain even if they deny it.
Speaking to Men’s Health magazine’s February issue, the ‘West Wing’ star said: “Men deny having vanity – that’s the greatest vanity. Not me. I’m vain as f**k.”
Meanwhile, Rob previously claimed the “gift of alcoholism” has given him a better life, because his subsequent recovery has helped improve his health and wellbeing, as well as letting him develop traits including “integrity” and “gratitude”.
He said: “Being in recovery has given me everything of value that I have in my life. Integrity, honesty, fearlessness, faith, a relationship with God, and most of all gratitude. It’s given me a beautiful family and an amazing career. I’m under no illusions where I would be without the gift of alcoholism and the chance to recover from it.”

Katie Price ‘ignoring ex after claiming she’s still in love with Peter Andre’

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Price is reportedly refusing to speak to Kieran Hayler after he claimed she was still in love with Peter Andre.
The 40-year-old TV personality is said to be “furious” with her former partner – with whom she has children Bunny, four, and Jett, five – and is refusing to speak with him after he said he was never able to compete with Katie’s first husband Peter, who is the father of her children Princess, 11, and Junior, 13.
A source told The Sun Online: “Katie’s furious with Kieran and doesn’t understand why he did it.
“She thought they were supposed to try and get along for the sake of the kids, and then he goes and does this.
“She’s embarrassed about what he said about Pete and wishes he’d kept his trap shut.
“She’s told him to speak to her through lawyers if he has anything to say to her. She’s absolutely fuming with him.”
Kieran, 32, recently blasted the former glamour model in an interview, claiming that if it wasn’t for Katie’s “celeb” lifestyle” she would still be with the pop star.
He explained: “She always said if it wasn’t for her celeb lifestyle, the reality shows and stuff, her and Peter probably would’ve lasted. He was the love of her life and no on can compete with that.
“There’s always someone else to blame. How many more years can she blame things on her and Pete not working out? I’ve probably got it for another five of 10 years.”
Katie also has son Harvey, 16, from a relationship with soccer star Dwight Yorke.
And Kieran has admitted to being upset that the teenager is already calling Kris Boyson – Katie’s new partner – “Daddy”.
He said: “The thing that saddened me most is that when I was still living in the house, he referred to Kris as ‘Daddy Kris’.”

Several of Jimmy’s former ‘Hollyoaks’ stars congratulated him and Charles on the news.

He said: “I’m really happy with the exit.
“I think it’s really, really shocking. I like the build-up to it – the good guy gone bad and then it turns back round, but then it’s too late.
“It makes Glenn, Bob’s character, so evil, doesn’t it? I like that.”

Danny Dyer ‘wouldn’t allow’ Osbournes-style reality show

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer quashed plans for a ‘The Osbournes’-style reality show with his family.
The ‘EastEnders’ star’s daughter Dani Dyer says her father “wouldn’t allow” such a programme to take place after he tuned into her and boyfriend Jack Fincham’s ITVBe reality show ‘Jack and Dani: Life After Love Island’.
When asked if such a series could happen, Dani said: “No, that is not happening. My dad wouldn’t allow it.
“When he watched our show he was like, ‘Oh, I couldn’t do it, Dan.’ ”
Despite starring in ‘Love Island’ and on their own reality show, Dani admits she “hates” her every move being analysed.
When asked if it is weird being in the public eye, she said: “I hate it.”
Jack added: “Also they say, ‘He’s on his own today’, and you think, ‘I’m allowed to be on my own for a day surely?’ ”
The former pen salesman misses selling stationery at times, but insists he “works harder” now than when he was flogging felt tips.
He said: “I do miss it sometimes, but this is like an experience of a lifetime. All these experiences we’ve had.
“Sometimes I wake up and think, ‘How has this happened to me?’ I work harder now than I ever did by the way.
“My mates think I just swan around now doing nothing but I’m up every day at 6am.”
The pair also fuelled speculation they could get engaged soon after TV presenter Lorraine Kelly asked whether she needed to buy a hat.
Speaking in a joint interview with Dani on ‘Lorraine’, Jack replied: “Yes … You’ll be invited.”

Jon S. Baird wanted film script to be ‘perfect’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jon S.Baird wanted to make sure the ‘Stan & Ollie’ script was “perfect” before shooting the movie.
The director’s latest comedy drama – which stars Steve Coogan as Stan and John C. Reilly as Ollie – tells the story of the legendary comedy duo, Laurel and Hardy, after their fame had peaked and they set out on a tour to reconnect with their adoring fans.
However, the filmmaker revealed that the movie – which has been nominated for a trio of BAFTA awards – was initially going to be a TV project for the BBC.
Jon explained that when he cast Reilly, the script really started to “build” and take shape.
Speaking to Deadline, Baird shared: “I had the first meeting at the start of 2014. I was working with Danny Boyle on ‘Babylon’ for Channel 4 and [‘Stan & Ollie’s screenwriter] Jeff Pope approached me. It started out as a TV project for BBC Comedy, but it sort of outgrew that. Christine Langan, who was the head of BBC Films at the time, said, ‘We’ll take it.’ It slowly started to build.
“The reason it took so long was that we wanted to get the script absolutely perfect. The final script was a million miles from where the original script started. The person who really kick-started the script into what it became was John C. Reilly. Not by writing on it, or anything, but by coming to the table and saying, ‘You know what? This needs to be more about these two guys.’ John was a force in crystallising that.”
Reilly was working alongside Will Ferrell at the time on the film ‘Holmes and Watson’, so the movie had to wait – which is when the director got to work with Martin Scorsese on the HBO series ‘Vinyl’.
He added: “If I were him I’d have done the exact same. ‘Holmes & Watson’ was one because he hadn’t worked with Will Ferrell in a long time and he really wanted to work with him.
“During that time I had to say, ‘Great, I’m not going to be taking another film,’ because I knew if I did, it would rule me out of this. I wanted to stay attached, and so I took TV projects.
“That’s when I got the chance to work with Martin Scorsese on ‘Vinyl’, and that’s been massive for me. I didn’t think I’d ever meet someone like him.”

Edgar Wright teases upcoming psychological horror

OHMYGOSSIP — Edgar Wright is currently working on a psychological horror thriller set in London.
The acclaimed director – whose previous credits include ‘Baby Driver’, ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and ‘Hot Fuzz’ – has revealed that his new project will star a female lead, although specific details about the movie remain a closely-guarded secret.
Speaking to Empire, Edgar – who is also working on a sequel to ‘Baby Driver’ – explained: “I realised I had never made a film about central London – specifically Soho, somewhere I’ve spent a huge amount of time in the last 25 years.
“With ‘Hot Fuzz’ and ‘Shaun Of The Dead’ you make movies about places you’ve lived in. This movie is about the London I’ve existed in.”
The upcoming movie is based on a script he has co-written with Krysty Wilson-Cairns.
Meanwhile, actress Lily James previously heaped praise on Edgar, revealing she loved working with him on ‘Baby Driver’.
Lily – who starred as Debora, a young waitress and Baby’s love interest, in the 2017 movie – shared: “I think it’s credit to Edgar Wright – his script is really beautifully written and constructed and he’s really clever.
“He’s such an amazing storyteller and he does it through images and shots, so he makes us care for Baby and then Debora and then puts them together.
“He’s manipulated it all, so I think our chemistry is real – not to give too much credit away, we owned it – but I do think Edgar was very clever at constructing that.”
