Rylan Clark-Neal confirmed for Eurovision You Decide panel

OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark-Neal, Mollie King and Marvin Humes have been confirmed as judges on ‘Eurovision: You Decide’.
The former ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’ host – who is a self-confessed ‘Eurovision Song Contest’ super-fan – will join forces with The Saturdays singer and the JLS star as they take on the role of expert panellists to help the UK public decide the winner, who will go on to represent the nation at this year’s ‘Eurovision’.
Rylan, Mollie and Marvin will decide the three acts to go forward to face the public vote once all six wannabes have performed in a ‘Song-Off’, and the trio will sing again before the voting lines are open and the public chooses who should represent the UK in Tel Aviv this year.
The ex-‘BBBOTS’ presenter said: “I’m so excited to be back on the judging panel for ‘Eurovision: You Decide’ and back in the Eurovision family.
“I’ve been a life-long fan and take it very seriously so it’s a real honour to help the public decide who we choose to send to the main contest in May.
“I think it will be really interesting as well to see how the different acts perform the different versions of the songs.”
Mollie added: “I’m so excited to be part of the judging panel for ‘Eurovision: You Decide’ this year.
“Eurovision is a huge event in the music calendar every year so it’s a real honour to have a say, alongside Marvin and Rylan, in which song and which artist has the all-important job of representing the UK this year in Tel Aviv – I wish them all the best of luck.”
Marvin – who finished runner-up of ‘The X Factor’ in 2008 with JLS – is hopeful he can bring his former talent show experience to the programme.
He said: “I have so many great memories of watching Eurovision from growing up, so being able to help decide who will represent the United Kingdom this year is very exciting!
“I know what it feels like to perform live for the public and a judging panel so hopefully I can bring that experience on the night.”
Former ‘X Factor’ wannabe Holly Tandy will go up against Anisa, Jordan Clarke, Kerrie-Anne, Maid and Michael Rice for the chance to represent the UK.
‘Eurovision: You Decide’ will be hosted by Mel Giedroyc and Måns Zelmerlöw on Friday (08.02.19) on BBC Two at 7.30pm.

Peaky Blinders will ‘almost certainly’ run for 7 series

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Peaky Blinders’ creator Steven Knight says series five is “the best yet” and there will be two more to follow.
The 60-year-old screenwriter says the upcoming season of the BBC drama will have viewers on the “edge of their series”, and has revealed there will “almost certainly” be a total of seven seasons.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Knight said: “We just finished shooting a week and a half ago. Series five is done. I can honestly say that it’s the best yet. It’s really good. It’s fantastic and it all fell together beautifully. Great performances and I think audiences are going to be on the edge of their seats.”
Cillian Murphy – who plays Tommy Shelby – will be up against it more than ever when the popular BBC drama returns, as the Shelby family try to deal with the 1930s following the financial crash of 1929.
Steven added: “The story of the Peaky Blinders and of the Shelby family gets woven into the political fabric of Britain and Europe as the 1920s end and the 30s begin.
“Tommy Shelby faces the darkest force he has ever faced and his struggle is as relevant today as it was then.”
The series will see Tommy approached by a charismatic politician who has a bold vision for Britain, but his response will be a huge decision for both his family and Britain.
Caryn Mandabach, executive producer, added: “Steve’s Birmingham saga becomes more fascinating and more relevant with every chapter. This one promises to be the best yet.
“I’m truly grateful to the BBC for their support of such thrilling, immersive and resonant storytelling.”
Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Sophie Rundle, Finn Cole, Kate Phillips and Natasha O’Keefe will all return to the series, as will Aidan Gillen and Jack Rowan.

Rebecca Ferguson’s make-up marathon on The Kid Who Would Be King

OHMYGOSSIP — Rebecca Ferguson had to spend four hours in make-up every day for her role in new fantasy film ‘The Kid Who Would Be King’.
The 35-year-old star plays evil sorceress Morgana le Fay in the movie, which is inspired by the legend of King Arthur but set in the modern world, and to achieve her on-screen look she had to be on set by 4am but she relished the role, despite the early starts.
And Rebecca did not get any sympathy from her husband Rory who teased her by claiming she spends the same amount of time doing her own make-up when they are going out.
Speaking to talkRADIO at the ‘The King Who Would Be King’ premiere on Sunday (03.02.19), she spilled: “The makeup designer and special effects took four hours each morning so my wake up time was 3:30, in the chair for 04:00 and then it was four hours until I was on set. That was because everything was handmade and hand glued intricately – really beautiful work.
“Well you know it was a Friday evening for me! My husband went, ‘Oh there she is!’ ”
The Swedish star – who is famous for playing MI6 agent Ilsa Faust in the ‘Mission: Impossible’ franchise and Jenny Lind in musical movie ‘The Greatest Showman’ – enjoyed getting to play a villain in her latest big screen outing because it is fun to be a bad “bitch”.
She added: “It was incredibly fun. She’s a bitch! I love bitches!”
Ferguson was joined at the premiere by her co-stars Angus Imrie, Sir Patrick Stewart, Rhianna Doris and Louis Ashbourne Serkis – whose dad is motion capture specialist Andy Serkis.

Asa Butterfield says Sex Education plot was relatable

OHMYGOSSIP — Asa Butterfield related to ‘Sex Education’ because his own mother is a psychologist who wanted to “talk” about sex.
The 21-year-old actor plays Otis in the new Netflix comedy opposite Gillian Anderson as his sex therapist mother Jean Milburn, and the star found the series’ plot all too familiar because he was frequently subjected to graphic chats with his own parents.
And though Asa was initially embarrassed by the frank discussions, he grew to realise that they were both helpful and “healthy”.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph newspaper, Asa said: “At times I was like, ‘Oh, why do you want to talk about that sort of thing?’ [There were] questions that you probably don’t think about when you’re 12 or 13. But as I got older, I realised it’s always healthy to talk about that stuff, especially with your parents. They’re always going to be there for you.
“I could hear by the tone of her voice what the conversation was going to be about, and I was like, ‘Mum, I’m not having this, I’m sorry but I’m not’, and I walked out. It’s hard for teenagers to have those conversations with their parents, but I think it’s just as hard for the parent to broach a topic with their child. You’d almost rather have that talk with anyone else, even a complete stranger, than your own parents.”
Asa played the titular role in the 2011 Martin Scorsese movie ‘Hugo’, and the star confessed that his childhood was incredibly “normal” – apart from when he would take a break to meet with the legendary filmmaker.
He added: “I think one of the reasons I was quite mature growing up is because I had to be. I was going to school, then I’d be having dinner with Martin Scorsese.”

Tom Daley: Fatherhood changed my perspective

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Daley says fatherhood changed his “perspective on everything”.
The 24-year-old Olympian and his husband Dustin Lance Black welcomed their son Robbie into the world in June, and Tom has said the experience has changed his entire life, as he no longer puts all his energy into diving.
He said: “It’s incredible, it changes your perspective on everything and it’s nice that diving isn’t my whole world anymore.
And Tom admits his seven-month-old tot is “cheeky”, but “adorable”, and growing “so quickly”.
He added: “He is like a cheeky little monkey to be honest, but he’s the most adorable, sweetest and caring little kid who’s growing up so quickly.”
The sports star and the 44-year-old director have refrained from showing Robbie’s face on social media, and Tom says he’s concerned about heading to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, as there won’t be anything to stop people snapping pictures.
Speaking to BBC Sport, he said: “When he was born there were so many of our family members that hadn’t met him in person so we wanted to keep it for them and for us.
“It’s nice not to have him blasted all over social media, although I know in the future that might change going into Tokyo 2020 as he’ll be coming to watch and there’s not going to be anything stopping people taking photos.
“Right now we just want to keep him to ourselves as he’s our son and we want to do everything we can to protect him.”
Meanwhile, Dustin recently revealed he and Tom want to have more children, and even talked about having enough kids to create a “football team”.
He said: “We looked at many different options at the beginning.
“But I think it became clear we wanted a biological connection to our first born.
“Who knows where we are going to go from here! We might end up with ten, eleven. It takes 11 to make up a full football team right?
“Tom has lost his father, I had lost my mom and brother and you start to yearn for that connection that goes from your past to your future, and surrogacy was one of the ways we could do it.
“We decided to go to America after we did our research.”

Mandy Moore wanted private wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — Mandy Moore kept her wedding private because she and her husband wanted to “keep the day for us”.
The 34-year-old actress tied the knot with Dawes musician Taylor Goldsmith in November, and has said the pair kept news of their marriage “on the down low” because they didn’t want anything to distract them from their big day.
She said: “We kept it on the DL. People are so kind, obviously, when you get engaged. Everyone wants to know how the wedding planning is going and when it’s happening. We were pretty tight-lipped about it.
“We got married at our house, just with family and a few friends, so we wanted to kind of keep the day for us.”
The pair’s marriage came a year after Taylor proposed to the ‘This Is Us’ star back in September 2017, although they had been dating since 2015.
And Mandy also spoke about the first time they met, which came after Mandy shared her excitement about a new Dawes album on Instagram.
Speaking on the ‘Today’ show, Mandy said: “Somehow he found this little message that I left and sent a message through his folks to my folks, and we sort of started corresponding through email. Then we went on a first date.
“It was the most epic, three-hour first date. We just didn’t stop talking and then he left the next day to go on tour for six weeks, so we basically got to know each other and sort of fall in love on the phone and online.”
Mandy – who was previously married to Ryan Adams from 2009 until 2016 – and Taylor tied the knot last year in an “intimate” ceremony in Los Angeles.
A source said at the time: “[The ceremony was] an intimate backyard wedding at Mandy’s home that started just after sundown on Sunday evening.
“There was a small group of family and friends that looked to be about 50 people.”

Gisele Bundchen praises Tom Brady

OHMYGOSSIP — Gisele Bundchen has praised her husband Tom Brady for his “tireless commitment”, after his Super Bowl win.
The 41-year-old American football quarterback helped secure victory for the New England Patriots at the Super Bowl LIII on Sunday (03.02.19), and on Monday (04.02.19), Tom’s supermodel wife Gisele took to Instagram to express how proud she is of her spouse.
Posting a picture of herself and Tom after the game, Gisele – who has son Benjamin, nine, and daughter Vivian, six, with her spouse – wrote: “What a special night. Congratulations Patriots! Congratulations my love! Your tireless commitment, discipline and hard work never seizes to amaze me. We love you! Photo: Kevin C. Cox (sic)”
Gisele then repeated the message in her native Spanish, complete with clapping and love heart emojis.
Her comments come after she recently insisted there’s no “secret” to her lasting relationship with Tom – whom she’s been married to since 2009 – because key to their love is as simple as making sure they “keep the communication loving, respectful, and current”.
She said: “I think it’s important to honour each other for who we are, and to not try to change the other. Just to fully accept each other.
“I think it’s important to always keep the communication also loving and respectful and current. I’m not going to talk about something that happened, you know a year ago. We address it, and then we let it go. Because I think with acceptance comes freedom.”
And Gisele says sharing their highs and lows as a couple makes them stronger together.
She added: “When someone you love is happy, it makes you happy, or if they’re sad it makes you sad. You suffer with them and you have joy with them.”

Bebe Rexha defends Demi Lovato over Twitter backlash

OHMYGOSSIP — Bebe Rexha has defended Demi Lovato, after she was forced to quit Twitter when she received backlash for a joke she made about 21 Savage.
Demi deactivated her Twitter account on Sunday (03.02.19) after a joke about the Super Bowl and rapper 21 Savage – who has been arrested by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) for reportedly overstaying his visa and now faces deportation – sparked a backlash from her followers.
And now, fellow singer Bebe has hit out at those who used Demi’s previous battle with addiction against her in the midst of the backlash.
On her own Twitter account, Bebe wrote: “To all the people who who talked s**t to Demi you’re F***IN DISGUSTING. Attacking someone that is 6 months sober about her personal issues with drugs and mental health over a tweet is LOW. (sic)”
Demi – who suffered a near fatal overdose last year and is now six months sober – had originally joked that memes concerning 21 Savage’s situation were her “favourite part” of the Super Bowl weekend.
She tweeted during the NFL flagship game: “So far 21 savage memes have been my favorite part of the Super Bowl (sic)”
But when users attacked her for her comments, many of them brought up her addiction struggles.
She then tweeted: “If you’re gonna come at me for making a joke, try coming at me with some original not involving drugs.”
And shortly afterwards, the 26-year-old singer declared she was done with the site.
Before deactivating her account, she wrote: “F**k Twitter. This is why I don’t tweet anymore.”
21 Savage – whose real name is Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph – was arrested in Atlanta at the weekend after ICE agents claimed he is actually a British citizen who has overstayed his United States visa for over a decade.
ICE spokesman Bryan Cox said: “U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested unlawfully present United Kingdom national Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph AKA ’21 Savage’ during a targeted operation with federal and local law enforcement partners early Sunday in metro Atlanta … Mr. Abraham-Joseph is presently in ICE custody in Georgia and has been placed into removal proceedings before the federal immigration courts. ICE will now await the outcome of his case before a federal immigration judge to determine future actions.”
A legal team are currently working on a case for the 26-year-old rapper, and say it is all a “misunderstanding”.

Bradley Cooper has ‘death wish’ ahead of Oscars performance

OHMYGOSSIP — Bradley Cooper thinks he has a “death wish” for agreeing to perform ‘Shallow’ with Lady Gaga live at the Oscars.
The 44-year-old actor will make his award show singing debut at the Academy Awards this month when he takes to the stage with his ‘A Star Is Born’ co-star, as the pair will perform their hit song ‘Shallow’, which is taken from the movie and which is nominated for Best Original Song.
But Bradley admits he’s “terrified” about the impending performance, and thinks he must have a “death wish” for agreeing to take part.
Speaking to ‘Extra’, he said: “Yes! It’s terrifying, absolutely. I was like, ‘Why? I must have some sort of death wish.'”
It won’t be the first time Bradley – who also directed ‘A Star Is Born’ – has performed the track with Gaga though, as he recently joined her on stage during a show in Las Vegas, but he insisted he was equally as nervous for that duet too.
He said: “That was terrifying.
“I just had to like, Zen out and just pray that I wouldn’t ruin her show. Because, think about it, she just crushed it or two hours … and I thought, ‘Please let me just be on pitch.'”
Bradley previously admitted he took to the stage on that occasion with no prior preparation, but insisted he’d be well rehearsed before his Oscars performance.
He added: “I didn’t have any preparation. That was just to see. That was an amazing experience. But no, I want to work and like rehearse [before the Oscars].
“I’d thought about it and called Gaga, so maybe I’d go to the show and then I knew she was singing ‘Shallow’ for her finale. And I thought – I don’t know – maybe if she wants to bring me up, let’s see if it’s not horrendous.”

Ally Brooke wants to act

OHMYGOSSIP — Ally Brooke wants to try acting.
The 25-year-old singer has been exploring her career as a solo artist since her band Fifth Harmony went on hiatus, and has said she’d also love to branch out into different career paths, including acting.
When asked if she’d ever consider acting, Ally said: “Absolutely, when the time is right and the right opportunity and role [presents itself], that would be pretty phenomenal. I would like to do more film. I think if it was a TV show I’d love to do, like, a guest role or a small role.”
In particular, Ally would love a role on popular NBC drama ‘This Is Us’.
She added: “It just depends on the scenario. If I could ever be on ‘This is Us’, that would be amazing.”
The ‘Low Key’ singer visited the set of the show in 2017, and although she’s met many of the cast, she is still yet to cross paths with her favourite actor Milo Ventimiglia, who plays Jack Pearson.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, she said: “I hope I get to meet him next time! You know what’s funny, actually, this is like a geeky moment. I was a huge fan of ‘Heroes’ so I’d watch him all the time on that show [as Peter Petrelli]. And then I actually saw the commercial for ‘This Is Us’, like, weeks before it aired or got close to airing and I was like, ‘That’s Milo! Like, Oh my gosh! After all these years, that’s him!’ He’s just so incredible on that show, oh my god, all of them are.
“I have to meet Milo, but I have met everyone else, and they’re all, like, the nicest human beings on the Earth. I’ll never forget that day being on the set. Everybody was so kind, they were so thankful that I was there, and I would love to go back on set soon. So, hopefully, I can.”

Nick Cannon: Wendy Williams ‘sounds amazing’

OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Cannon says Wendy Williams “sounds amazing”, amid her extended break from her eponymously titled talk show.
The ‘Masked Singer’ presenter took over hosting duties of ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ on Monday (04.02.18) whilst the titular star continues to recover from the fractured shoulder she suffered in December, plus complications with her autoimmune condition Graves’ Disease which forced her to delay her return last month.
And during his first day as host – which will see him take over until February 6 – Nick revealed he had spoken to Wendy, as well as her husband Kevin Hunter and 19-year-old son Kevin Jr., and said she was on the mend.
He said: “She sounded amazing, y’all. Her spirit was so big. It was so amazing. She said she wanted to speak as a family unit and her, Kevin and Little Kevin they said they are all good. The love and the passion is still there because that’s what you need in times like this … is for your family to stick together with you.”
Nick, 38, went on to say he “got a little emotional” whilst speaking to Wendy and her family, and said the television host “feels all the love” from her supporters who have sent her well wishes in recent months.
Wendy, 54, took a break from her show in December when she fractured her shoulder, and originally pushed her return date back by a week in order to “focus on her personal and physical wellbeing”.
She was due to return on January 21, but then announced it would be extended further as she was experiencing “complications” due to autoimmune condition Graves’ Disease.
In a statement on Instagram, the show wrote: “As Wendy Williams Hunter previously shared, she fractured her shoulder and has been on the mend.
“Over the past few days, Wendy has experienced complications regarding her Graves’ Disease that will require treatment. Wendy will be under the strict supervision of her physicians, and as part of her care, there will be significant time spent in the hospital.
“Despite her strong desire to return, she is taking a necessary, extended break from her show to focus on her personal and physical well-being. Wendy thanks everyone in advance for their well-wishes and for respecting her and The Hunter Family’s privacy during this time.”

Rob Delaney marks 17 years of sobriety with touching post about late son

OHMYGOSSIP — Comedian Rob Delaney has marked 17 years of not drinking by posting a moving message revealing that his sobriety helped him cope with his son’s recent death.
The ‘Catastrophe’ star took to Twitter to mark his teetotal anniversary on Monday (04.02.19) by telling his 1.54 million followers that he believes the passing of his two-year-old child Henry in January 2018 would have been a tragedy made even worse if he had been abusing alcohol.
Referencing the serious car accident he had in 2002 which inspired him to get sober, his post read: “As of today I’ve been sober 17 years. 17 years ago I was in jail in a wheelchair. Today I’m not. I am profoundly grateful to the alcoholics who shined a light on the path for me and helped equip me with the skills to live life well. This has been a brutal year for my family and me. Our first year without our son and brother Henry. Had I not been sober it would have been far worse. As it was, I squeaked by. Sobriety allowed me to be a reasonably good dad, husband and worker through it all. (If you average it out. I think.) Sobriety allows me to grieve fully, and grief is an expression of love. Thank you to everyone who has helped me. I can’t do it alone.”
Rob and his wife Leah welcomed a baby boy into the world in August. They also have two other sons.
Speaking about the arrival of their baby just a few months after Henry’s tragic passing, the American actor said: “We likely would’ve had a fourth anyway. But I mean, there’s mixed feelings.
“It’s sort of like they touch each other a little bit, but they almost exist in separate lanes. Having another child in no way, shape or form eases the grief of Henry dying. [But it also] doesn’t make our new son any less magical. I want to gobble him up and he deserves our full attention and love, and he grew in the same womb as Henry.”
In 2016, Henry was diagnosed with a brain tumour and although he underwent surgery to remove it in early 2017, the cancer subsequently returned and he passed away from his illness at the start of 2018.

Gwyneth Paltrow lands Goop series on Netflix

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow has landed a new Netflix series.
The ‘Iron Man’ actress’ lifestyle company Goop has signed a deal with the streaming service that will offer 30-minute episodes hosted by the 46-year-old star and chief content officer Elise Loehnen.
The show will feature experts, doctors and researchers and examine issues of spiritual and physical wellness including mental and sexual health, as well as other issues that interest the Goop audience about getting the most from their lives.
Elise told Variety of the deal: “We were speaking to the platform question, and where our people are. They’re watching Netflix. Some of the more strategic, bigger stories we want to tell require a TV budget. Obviously, there’s no better partner in that.
“Gwyneth is a highly visual, tactile person. The quality of everything that we produce is very important to her. She’s always looking for white space. Whether it’s developing physical products or thinking of content.
“With this show, I think she’s only really interested in opportunities where we can uniquely be ourselves and do things potentially disruptive.”
Goop has also signed an exclusive distribution deal with Delta Airlines for their podcast, which is also hosted by Gwyneth and Elise.
Eight episodes, including a one-on-one conversation between the ‘Shakespeare in Love’ star and Oprah Winfrey, will stream on 600 planes from later this month.
And that’s not all as the company are also developing standalone podcasts with in-house beauty expert Jean Godfrey-June, a food show that will be hosted by an award-winning chef, and a Goop book club, which will incorporate reviews and author interviews.
However, as a result of the new ventures, Goop – which was founded in 2008 – are to pause production on their quarterly print magazine until after the Netflix series drops.
Later this year, the In Goop Health Wellness Summit will be staged in London for the first time, as well as returning to both Los Angeles and New York.
