Liam Gallagher declares he’s ‘proud’ to be alive in As It Was teaser clip

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher declared he’s “proud of staying alive” in the first clip for his documentary ‘As It Was’.
The former Oasis frontman will release the hotly-anticipated upcoming movie, which has been directed by Charlie Lightening, and focuses on the 46-year-old rocker’s journey from “boredom, booze and legal battles” to solo star with the release of his 2017 debut solo LP ‘As You Were’ and subsequent sold-out global concerts, on June 7.
In the teaser, Liam is seen in a car driving around his home city of Manchester as the screams of fans are heard at his December 2017 Manchester Arena gig.
The ‘Wall of Glass’ hitmaker then makes a statement about how he has proved everyone wrong by his successful comeback and by not dying of a “drug overdose”.
He says: “I am not doing this to be more famous, I’m f***ing famous enough, you know what I mean?
“I’m not doing it for the money.
“I joined the band because I love music.
“I know how f***ing great I am and I know how s***t I am, you know what I mean?
“I’m proud of f***ing staying alive, man.
“Being here, man.
“Not becoming a f***ing casualty.
“Not letting the bastards get you down, man.
“Or the people who have written you off who were sitting there for the last 10 years going, ‘Ah, he’s f***ing going to be dead now, he’s definitely going to blow his brains out, gonna have a drug overdose.
“They’ve got all them press headlines waiting, but I don’t think it’s going to happen lads, do you know what I mean? Think I’m gonna stick it out.”
Although he’s calmed down a lot now, Liam was one of the most notorious rock ‘n’ roll hell-raisers during his time in the ‘Supersonic’ band – formed in 1991 – and got involved in numerous shenanigans, mostly fuelled by drink and recreational drugs.
Liam previously said fans will get to witness the recording process for his debut solo LP, ‘As You Were’, which he recorded in Los Angeles with Adele’s producer Greg Kurstin and several songwriters, and his return to the stage two years ago.
Commenting on the documentary, Liam said: “‘As It Was’ is a documentary about my musical comeback.
“It covers the writing and recording of my first solo album, right through to playing it live for the first time in my hometown of Manchester and around the world. I hope you enjoy the film.”
Oasis split in 2009, after Liam’s older brother and ex-bandmate Noel Gallagher quit following a backstage bust-up between the pair before a concert in Paris, France, which ended with the volatile frontman swinging a guitar at his sibling’s head after the songwriter had stamped on one of his instruments.
Liam went on to form Beady Eye, but the group didn’t have much success with their two records; ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding’ and ‘BE’, so they parted ways in 2014.
After that for four years, the ‘Bold’ singer – who divorced his second wife Nicole Appleton in 2014, after having a child with journalist Liza Ghorbani the year before – stepped back from the music business.
A description of ‘As It Was’ stated that it “tells the emotional story of how one of the greatest rock frontmen went from the dizzying heights of his champagne supernova years in Oasis to living on the edge, ostracized and lost in the musical wilderness of boredom, booze and legal battles”.
It adds: “The film depicts Liam emerging from Noel’s shadow, managing expectations from being in the biggest band in the world to starting alone again alone, stripped bare, with nowhere to hide.”
‘As It Was’ will be released on June 7 in the UK and Ireland via Altitude Film Distribution.

Blac Chyna can depose Ryan Seacrest

OHMYGOSSIP — Blac Chyna has been granted permission to depose Ryan Seacrest.
The 30-year-old star had made a legal bid to order the ‘American Idol’ host to be interviewed under oath to answer questions about why her and former fiance Rob Kardashian’s reality show ‘Rob & Chyna’ was cancelled after just one season and according to court documents obtained by The Blast, a Los Angeles judge has now granted the motion.
The court order states that Ryan could have relevant information as to why E! axed the show because he was its executive producer.
Chyna’s legal team will be able to keep the 44-year-old star for up to three hours of questioning in a single day and will be allowed to videotape the interview.
And Ryan has also been warned that Chyna will be given permission to depose him for a second day if he doesn’t deliver all the information she requires.
Chyna had also requested the presenter produce his private correspondence with Rob’s mother, Kris Jenner, sisters Kim Kardashian West and Khloe Kardashian, and half-sister Kylie Jenner, and though he doesn’t have to turn over those communications at the moment, he may have to submit them at a later date.
The deposition is for Chyna’s lawsuit against members of the Kardashian/ Jenner family, who she has accused of interfering with her show and ultimately causing it to be axed.
Rob’s loved ones have previously denied having anything to do with the show being cancelled, while the reclusive sock designer – who has two-year-old daughter Dream with Chyna – insisted he could no longer participate in the programme due to alleged domestic violence from his former partner.
Chyna – who also has six-year-old son King Cairo with ex-boyfriend Tyga – previously claimed E! were pushing for a second series of ‘Rob & Chyna’ because they felt their break-up would offer more dramatic television.
Her lawsuit stated: “Reality television thrives on colourful personalities engaging in conflict. If anything, the E! network saw more potential in a second season given the success of season one and the new, unpredictable co-parenting relationship between Chyna and Rob.”

She shared a close-up selfie on Instagram and wrote: “Gutted. Heartbroken and f**ked off, still doesn’t cover my disappointment at not being able to travel to NYC for our final prem tonight.
“I f**king hate being sick and the timing of this is a sh*t bag.(sic)”
But the British star – who has son Wylie, nine, with ex-husband Peter Loughran and daughter Teddy, two with spouse Dan Cadan – went on to urge her castmates and crew on the show to “create mayhem” at the premiere.
She added: “But .. S8 is the t*ts and so are all my cast mates and crew mates and creators… so RIDE FORTH INTO THE NIGHT AND CREATE MAYHEM … Love you beauties [star and heart emojis] (sic)”
In response, Lena was sent a message from her co-star and on-screen rival Emilia Clarke.
Emilia commented: “WE LOVE AND MISS YOU MAMMA [heart emojis] you’re here in spirit!!!!!! [fire emojis] (sic)”
Lena previously admitted she had had “many fantasies” about how her alter ego could be killed off on the show.
She said: “I think I had many fantasies about how Cersei would — if she were to — die. But I think it was, every year, anyone’s lying if they say they didn’t kind of rush to the end of each script and go, ‘Oh, PHEW!’ ”
And the actress confessed she’s occasionally “drunkenly” let slip spoilers for the series.
She said: “I think I’ve drunkenly done it to someone and then the next day, hunted them down and made them sign in blood not to say anything.”

Kevin Hart’s show was therapy

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Hart’s comedy special was “therapy” after he cheated on his wife.
The ‘Secret Life of Pets 2’ star admitted in 2017 that he had been unfaithful to Eniko Parrish while she was expecting their son Enzo, now 16 months, and he joked about the scandal in his Netflix show ‘Irresponsible’.
And Kevin treated the stand-up show as a “confessional” and found it helpful to have people laugh at his “mistakes”.
He said: “For me, this is a confessional. This is a therapy session that I was able to make people laugh out of my mistakes.”
And the 39-year-old star hopes the programme can help people accept and embrace their own flaws.
He added to ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “The special is something that people need right now. It’s not just for laughter, more importantly it’s making people understand that it is OK to be flawed.
“To talk about your flaws and not hide the things that may or may not be wrong. The title of perfection does not exist and through stand up is where I try to make people aware and understand that.”
Meanwhile, Kevin – who also has Heaven, 14, and Hendrix, 11, with his ex-wife Torrei Hart – took a rabbit on stage with him as he and Tiffany Haddish presented ‘Secret Life of Pets 2’ at CinemaCon on Tuesday (02.04.19) and though he did his best to keep the bunny calm and relaxed, he ended up wounded by the time he left the stage at the Colosseum Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.K
Kevin – who voices the rabbit Snowball in the animated sequel – said: “”The bunny was moving around on my chest. The bunny could have jumped off. Anybody else in that situation would have panicked. What I did was I simply handled it correctly. I said, ‘Hey bunny, don’t move. The people need to see me with you, so you need to calm down.
“The bunny actually did a little thing called ‘scratch my chest’. My chest is bleeding still. But to the people, it looked like I was calm collected and in control.”

Prince Harry slams Fortnite

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry has called for Fortnite to be banned.
The 34-year-old royal – who is expecting his first child with wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex – has declared the game “so irresponsible” because children are growing “addicted” to it and parents feel out of their depth.
He said: “A game like Fortnite for instance may not be so good for children. Parents have got their hands up; they don’t know what to do about it. .
“It’s like waiting for the damage to be done and kids turning up on your doorsteps and families being broken down. Fortnite shouldn’t be allowed. Where is the benefit in having that game in your household?
“It’s created to addict – an addiction to keep you in front of a computer for as long as possible. It’s so irresponsible.”
And in the same week Harry and Meghan launched their own official Instagram account, the prince branded social media “dangerous” because it is “more addictive than drugs and alcohol”.
Speaking during a visit to the YMCA in south Ealing, west London on Wednesday (03.04.19), where he met with charity representatives from organisations including Young Minds and Stonewall, he said: “There’s too much negativity surrounding mental health and it must be so hard for young people to talk about it.
“Social media is more addictive than drugs and alcohol, and it’s more dangerous because it’s normalised and there are no restrictions to it.
“We are in quite a mind-altering time, but quite an exciting time, because everyone in this room has the opportunity to make a real difference.”
Harry also called for further progress in “normalising the conversation” around mental health.
Alongside a selection of images from his visit shared to his Instagram account, he was quoted as saying: “There continues to be huge progress in smashing the stigma that surrounds mental health, but let’s keep normalising the conversation.
“‘Let’s keep reminding each other that it’s okay to not be okay, and to listen to each other. “After all, how we think determines how we act, how we feel, and how we treat ourselves and those around us.”

Paul Danun claims Celeb Love Island bosses gave him Valium for drug withdrawal

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Danan claimed ‘Celebrity Love Island’ bosses gave him Valium to help him through his drug withdrawal.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actor – who appeared on the first series of the ITV dating show back in 2005 – was suffering after stopping taking ‘party drugs’ before flying to film the programme in Fiji, and he was shaking and shivering in the beach hut.
Speaking to the ‘Berkhamsted Revisited: A Teenage Diary Podcast’: “I was fine mentally, it was more just asking, ‘Do you have any problems’. At that time I didn’t realise that I probably did have a few issues with addiction. I suppose he must just have thought, ‘You seem all right’.
“I was kind of realising all this in front of the nation. When I first got there I was actually going through some serious withdrawals and I remember actually crawling to the Beach Hut in the first few days and I was shivering and shaking going, ‘Oh my god, I don’t know what’s going on with me?’
“Then they gave me some Valium and it just chilled me out and the next day I was fine and that was it. That was the end of my kind of cluck. I didn’t even know.”
Paul – who has had a number of stints in rehab for cocaine abuse and issues with prescription pain medication – and he has claimed bosses plied him with booze in a bid to boost ratings with his drunken rows and outbursts.
He added: “Maybe the reason they gave us more booze was because they saw that people were liking this Danan drunk, let’s give him some booze because it doesn’t seem to agree with him and something’s gonna happen because no one is really copping off.”
Paul – who later appeared on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in 2017 – was kicked off the island after his infamous row with former Westlife bodyguard Fran Cosgrave, during which he used “disgusting words” which he admitted were “so wrong”.
However, he was later allowed back onto the show under the condition he wasn’t allowed to have any more alcohol.

Prue Leith says there are ‘too many cookery shows’ on TV

OHMYGOSSIP — Prue Leith thinks there are “too many cookery shows” on television.
Despite starring as a judge on ‘The Great British Bake Off’ – and previously holding the same role on programmes like ‘Great British Menu’ and ‘My Kitchen Rules’ – the TV chef has insisted the market has become over-saturated because “ratings are everything” to bosses.
Speaking to the Mirror, she explained: “My own opinion is there are too many cookery shows on telly. I don’t watch cookery shows because for me they go too slowly.
“I think ‘I know what he’s doing now, why doesn’t he get on with it?’ But if you’re learning to cook from telly, you need it to be slow. I would prefer there to be less cookery, but broadcasters are doing what the public wants.”
Although the 79-year-old star doesn’t like watching the shows, she has admitted after three years in the role she would still love to emulate the longevity of Mary Berry, 84, who appeared on ‘Bake Off’ for seven series before her exit when it moved from BBC to Channel 4 in 2016.
Prue added: “My great ambition is to at least equal Mary Berry. She did seven years, and she started at the same age that I started which was 76, so I’ll have to go on like she did until she was 83 or whatever.”
Her comments on the amount of cookery shows on TV come after reports BBC is launching new series ‘Flour Power’ to bring back the viewers it lost when ‘Bake Off’ made the switch.
An insider previously said: “Ever since ‘The Great British Bake Off’ appeared on our screens, offices across the nation have been rife with bake-offs among their staff in fierce competition.
“The Beeb is keen to tap into this phenomenon in a bid to capture some of the magic of ‘Bake Off’. It is convinced this tweaked format might do the trick.”
It is said the programme will see a panel of professional bakers visiting workplaces across the UK to judge employees’ baking skills.

The Heist is returning to Sky One in 2020

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Heist’ will be returning to Sky One for a second series.
The popular factual entertainment show sees ordinary small town citizens thrown into a high-stakes game of crime, and the new season – filmed in and around Northumberland – will see locals trying to escape from a team of detectives as they try to organise the perfect heist in a bid for a huge cash prize.
Sky’s commissioning editor of entertainment Shirley Jones said: “I am so thrilled that ‘The Heist’ is returning. It was a great show made by a brilliant team, which in turn became a huge hit with viewers.
“So many people thought they could do better than the thieves and easily outwit the detectives, so we’re throwing down the gauntlet and calling for the local people of Northumberland to join in for round two in this battle of cops versus robbers.”
Filming is set to start this summer, and the show will be back on air in 2020.
‘The Heist’ comes from Shine TV – the team behind ‘Hunted’ and ‘The Island’ – and the production company has promised “dramatic twists and turns” alongside a “rich” cast.
Matt Bennett, senior executive producer at Shine TV, added: “We’re delighted to be making ‘The Heist’ again for Sky One.
“This deliciously mischievous series will once again ask inventive, ordinary folk to plan and commit the perfect heist and runaway with the proceeds of their crime, which they must keep hidden from our team of detectives.
“On the one hand, The Heist unashamedly appeals to the uniquely British love of a good detective story, yet on the other, it revels in the dramatic twists and turns of a criminal caper, full of rich personalities and good humour.”

Francis Ford Coppola directing Megalopolis

OHMYGOSSIP — Francis Ford Coppola is finally set to helm ‘Megalopolis’.
The 80-year-old filmmaker is getting to work on his dream project, which he originally announced at the Cannes International Film Festival back in 2001, but was forced to delay after the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York.
The movie, which is about an architect’s attempt to create a utopia in the middle of the Big Apple, was deemed too sensitive at the time in the wake of the destruction of the Twin Towers.
Coppola is set to begin working on the project again this year, with Jude Law reportedly in talks to join the film, which will have a “large cast” and will be a showcase of the Academy Award-winner’s unique film style.
Speaking to Deadline, the ‘Godfather’ director said: “So yes, I plan this year to begin my long-standing ambition to make a major work utilising all I have learned during my long career, beginning at age 16 doing theatre, and that will be an epic on a grand scale, which I’ve entitled ‘Megalopolis’.
“It is unusual; it will be a production on a grand scale with a large cast.
“It makes use of all of my years of trying films in different styles and types culminating in what I think is my own voice and aspiration.
“It is not within the mainstream of what is produced now, but I am intending and wishing and in fact encouraged, to begin production this year.”
Meanwhile, Coppola will also debut ‘Apocalypse Now: Final Cut’ at this summer’s Tribeca Film Festival.
He had fought with film studios for many years to have the full version released in theatres and now he’s enabling fans to see the “weirder” parts.
The original 1979 film, Coppola says, was “too abruptly shortened” and in 2001 ‘Apocalypse Redux’ was released with 45 minutes extra footage added to the epic Vietnam War film.
And now the iconic filmmaker is going to be able to the film – which starred Marlon Brando, Martin Sheen, Dennis Hopper and Robert Duvall – with the world in all its glory.
He explained: “Given that the ‘Apocalypse’ original was not only long, but also unusual in style and substance for a film at that time, we tended to cut whenever possible not only in time but also in what then was considered ‘weirdness’.
“Maybe 15 years later I happened to catch a TV viewing of it in a hotel, and as I always enjoyed seeing the beginning, started watching and ending up seeing the whole film.
“I realised that just with that time elapsed, that the film was not as weird as I had thought, and had become more ‘contemporary’. The avant garde art of the present often becomes the ‘wallpaper’ (mainstream) art of the future.
“That plus many people’s (including distributor’s opinion) that so much great stuff had been cut out, led to what was later called ‘Apocalypse Redux’, which actually had a successful theatrical distribution. But that version that had all that had been cut out, restored.
“Later on, once again, when asked which version I personally wanted to be shown, I often felt that the original 1979 was too abruptly shortened, and ‘Redux’ was too long, and settled on what I now felt was the perfect version, which is what we’re showing at Tribeca later this month, called ‘Apocalypse Now Final Cut’.”

Jennifer Lopez slept in Selena Quintanilla’s bed before Selena

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez slept in Selena Quintanilla’s bed when preparing for her role in ‘Selena’.
The 49-year-old star played the late Tejano singer in the 1997 biopic and in order to “do her justice” she tried her best to “soak up everything” about her life by speaking to her family, spending time in her home and even sharing the late Mexican-American entertainer’s bed.
Speaking on Apple Music’s Beats 1 show, she said: “It was a beautiful time in my life and it taught me so much about life, I was young, I was 26 when I played Selena, I didn’t realise, at the time, the responsibility that I had, all I wanted to do was do her memory and that moment justice.
“I soaked up everything, I watched every interview that I could, I slept in her bed at home. I talked to the whole family. I spent time with them. It can be melancholy and beautiful at the same time. It was a beautiful time in my life and it taught me so much about life, life is fragile.”
The ‘Second Act’ star went on to compare her role as the iconic singer to her latest role as a stripper named Ramona in the upcoming drama ‘Hustlers’.
J.Lo said: “You have to really dig into the reality of what it really is, you can’t just surface it … What it’s about is playing the role as authentically as I can; it’s just like when I was playing Selena. I was so in it when I was playing Selena back then; I feel the same way about playing [Ramona]. I’m going to play this persona, and do it in the best way that I know how. I’m going to learn everything about that life and that mentality that I can to play it as authentically as I can.”
Lopez is starring in ‘Hustlers’ alongside Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart and Cardi B – who is making her acting debut in the movie, which is an adaptation of the New York magazine article ‘Hustlers at Scores’.

Sophie Turner says X-Men: Dark Phoenix is more of a ‘family drama’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner says ‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’ is more of a “family drama” than a superhero movie.
The 23-year-old actress plays psychic Jean Grey in the next instalment of the superhero franchise and admitted that writer and director Simon Kinberg has made the new movie “more character-driven” and “emotional” than previous ‘X-Men’ films.
In an interview with Collider, she said: “I think one of the things Simon’s done with this film is he’s made it a far more character driven movie and more emotional. You know how ‘Logan’ was kind of different in style to all the other ‘Wolverine’ all the ‘X-Men’ movies and it’s kind of the same with this.
“‘Logan’ was kind of like a western style and this is more like a family drama than a superhero movie.”
Tye Sheridan – who plays Cyclops in the franchise – went on to explain that the fact Kinberg helmed the film as well as writing the screenplay was incredibly helpful to the cast as there was no conflicted “visions” between writer and director.
He said: “I mean it’s a singular vision and that’s exciting. I think no matter what the scale what size the film is to have a writer-director guiding the way is really nice because there’s no conflict between them two visions, so that was really nice. What’s really nice about working with Simon is if you’re struggling with something in the scene – he knows the dialogue and the context and the narrative so well, like the back of his hand.
“Like he knows how to tweak things and rework them so they work and so I think he’s good at working like that and being able to adapt to when you run into certain issues if you’re having any.”
‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’ is to be released in June.

Daniel Brocklebank set for West End Proms this summer

OHMYGOSSIP — Daniel Brocklebank will make his concert debut at the West End Proms this summer.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star won ITV’s ‘All Star Musicals’ last month with a stunning rendition of ‘From Now On’ from ‘The Greatest Showman’, and he will be part of two specials shows in July performing songs from seven decades of musical theatre.
Daniel – who plays Billy Mayhem on the cobbles – said: “I absolutely love performing and I am so excited to make my first stage appearance with West End Proms.
“Winning ‘All Star Musicals’ was a dream come true; I now can’t wait to sing live once again, on stage with this wonderful cast.”
The actor will appear during London’s Green Music Time on July 4, and at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on July 5.
He is joining a cast made up of some of the top stage stars, including John Owen-Jones (‘Les Miserables’), Lauren Samuels (BBC’s ‘Over the Rainbow’), and ‘Hamilton’ duo Rachel John and Jon Robyns.
The West End Proms director Peter Taylor added: “This is the first time we’re bringing West End Proms to London and Scarborough and it’s going to be an incredible evening.
“This is more than a concert; it’s a show worthy of the West End and Broadway. We’ve brought together some of the world’s most beautiful voices complete with a stunning live orchestra. It will be an extraordinary night.”
Last month, ‘Corrie’ star Daniel wowed viewers and judges on ‘All Star Musicals’ and admitted the programme was “one of the most fun things” he has ever done.
He wrote on Twitter at the time: “Sat here loving my fellow #AllStarSingers family. What a lovely, brilliant, talented group of people! This show was one of the most fun things I’ve ever done. Terrified & thrilled in equal measures. (sic)”
Daniel beat off competition from the likes of comedian Joel Dommett, and fellow soap star Amy Walsh – who plays Emmerdale’s Tracy Metcalfe – and he is looking forward to taking the trophy back to the cobbles.
He tweeted: “Thank you all so much for all of your wonderful messages about last nights #AllStarMusicals! It was quite literally one of the best nights of my life. Still buzzing!! So glad to be taking the trophy home to @itvcorrie! (sic)”

Kim Kardashian West keeps clothes cool with app

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West has a “temperature controlled” storage facility for every outfit she has worn that is linked to an app on her phone.
The 38-year-old reality star keeps new and essential pieces in her own personal wardrobe and so created a digital closet – much like Cher Horowitz’s in the 1995 hit film ‘Clueless’ – that has “different sections” of garments she has previously worn, including her “wedding dress and shoes”.
She said: “All of my old clothes go into a storage facility that’s temperature controlled, and I have different sections, like one for all my Met Gala dresses. Each thing is in a garment bag with a photo of me at the event. I try to keep the shoes with the look as often as possible, especially in my wedding section. I have my wedding shoes and my dress on one rack. Then there’s my Hervé Leger section from back in the day – maybe not the looks with the shoes, but I have all the dresses. Pretty much everything I’ve worn to an event is there.”
And the curvaceous beauty keeps her iconic gold Versace gown, which she wore to the 2018 Met Gala, in her own personal wardrobe because she “loves seeing it”.
She added: “When I did the ad campaign for Balmain, Olivier Rousteing gave me one of everything, so I have a whole Balmain section. Sometimes I’ll take a mix of things that I love to see in my closet – even last year’s Versace dress that I wore to the Met I’ll keep in my closet because I love seeing it.
“Depending on what’s in, like, say, neon, I’ll pull everything like that from the storage and put in my closet. If it’s starting to fade, then I’ll put it all in storage.”
Kim – who has three children, daughter North, five, son Saint, three, and 13-month-old Chicago, and a fourth child on the way with her husband Kanye West – also explained that every garment in her wardrobe is “photographed”, “numbered” and linked to an app on her phone, so she can look back on the pieces and re-wear certain garments if they come back into fashion.
She told W magazine: “Visually, I want my closet to look not so full. First I had everything, and then I couldn’t sift through everything. So I have a process of editing. I have this app that has everything photographed and everything has a number so I can say, “Hey, this item was pulled.” As we take things out, I log it out or log it back in. Yeah, I’m the most organised person ever.”

The Darkness announce new album Easter Is Cancelled

OHMYGOSSIP — The Darkness have announced their new album ‘Easter Is Cancelled’.
Frontman Justin Hawkins asks “where are the heroes we deserve” in the video teaser for the new record as he wanders through the woods lamenting the state of the world, before declaring that he and his bandmates come bearing the “guitar axe, the drum hammer, the bejewelled codpiece, the banshee wail of righteous anger”, whilst warning a “sonic apocalypse” is on the way.
Justin says: “As power hungry clowns cast a shadow of despair across this land, our people cower in tumble-down hovels.
“The birds do not sing and the children do not dance. Hope is crushed.
“Where are the heroes that this world needs?
Where are the heroes that this world deserves?
“Cast aside despair people for the tide will turn.
“We are men in tight costumes and we are ready to fight with every weapon that the forefathers have bequeathed: The guitar axe, the drum hammer, the bejewelled codpiece, the banshee wail of righteous anger…
“Cometh the time, cometh the band, we are The Darkness!”
The ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’ hitmakers also tweeted: “Put away your chocolate eggs, say goodbye to the festive bunny & prepare for sonic apocalypse!”
The artwork depicts Jesus on the cross with Justin nailed to the wooden crucifix.
The rock band’s sixth studio album follows 2017’s ‘Pinewood Smile’.

Blake Lively always uses budget lip balm

OHMYGOSSIP — Blake Lively’s go-to lip balm costs just $3.59.
The 31-year-old actress took to her Instagram Stories to unveil her huge make-up collection while she was organising her coveted beauty stash, and ‘The Shallows’ star revealed that she uses a Burt’s Bees lip salve to keep her perfect pout hydrated at all times.
Tagging every single brand in her make-up drawer, Blake captioned the photo: “When you organise once, then gotta share with the world (sic)”
Included in the ‘Gossip Girl’ star’s cosmetic drawer was By Terry’s Cellularose Brightening CC Lumi-Serum ($91), Christian Louboutin Velvet Matte Lip Colour ($90), Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 25 ($90), Viseart Eyeshadow Palette ($80), La Mer The Powder Brush ($85), Burt’s Bees Lip Balm ($3.59) and Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Contour Duo ($68) to name a few.
The American actress, who is the spokeswoman for the beauty brand L’Oréal Paris, has previously admitted but she has only ever had four pampering sessions in her life time, which has left her flawless complexion looking like “middle school puberty skin” afterwards.
Speaking to Vogue about her beauty dilemma, she said: “I’ve broken out every time I’ve had a facial. I’ve done it about four times in my life and every time I’ve ended up looking like a ‘Saturday Night Live’ sketch for middle school puberty skin.”
Although, the mother-of-two – who has four-year-old daughter James and two-year-old girl Inez with her husband Ryan Reynolds – believes she has a “good” beauty routine she wishes it was better, although she forgets to continue with her skincare plan after a while and is forced to use any cleansing product she can get hold of.
The blonde beauty, who launched her e-store and website Preserve in 2014, explained: “I wish I had a better skincare regime … I always want to say I have a good one. When I come to Cannes, L’Oréal has every product I could ever need. And they’re great, and my skin is so nice and soft and supple and clean and lovely … and then I go home and I just like, wash my face with hotel soap because it’s all I can find. But I like having a good moisturiser, especially at night, and cleaning your make-up off your face is the most important thing.”
