Nicole Kidman’s ‘random’ career

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Kidman thinks her career is “so random and weird” right now.
The ‘Killing Of A Sacred Deer’ star knows the “power” she has as an actress but insists she can’t get every movie she wants made just by using her Hollywood star power.
She told USA Today: “My career’s so random and weird [at the moment] … I can get a certain [film made] sometimes. And sometimes not. That’s the reality. We cannot get funding for it … I would love to say, ‘Yeah, I can just get anything made.’ I mean, maybe Bradley Cooper can, or something, but I can’t.”
And the 51-year-old actress previously revealed she is “giving up things” she wants for the sake of her family – her husband Keith Urban and their two children, Sunday, 10, and Faith, seven.
She said: “The thing you really have to learn when you have children and a career – and particularly when you’re an older mother – is the preciousness of time; and therefore trying to balance everything and be willing to say no to things. I want to be a good wife and a good mother, so that requires giving up things I want sometimes.”
Nicole is “passionate” about spending time with her family.
She added: “My big passion is just my family; my love. My daughter said to me, ‘You and Daddy kiss all the time.’ I thought, ‘That’s such a fantastic thing for your daughter to say to you.’ And that’s my passion. I know it’s a simple answer, but I’m deeply passionate about raising my children and being with my husband.”

“We got together last night actually, just us four and we all screamed out loud. We hugged and screamed.”

Cheryl has returned with her latest single ‘Love Made Me Do It’

OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl has announced her return with new single ‘Love Made Me Do It’.
The 35-year-old singer is set to release the track on Friday (09.11.18) and the song reunites Cheryl with former Girls Aloud bandmate and pal Nicola Roberts, who co-wrote it with the star alongside her ‘Only Human’ collaborators The Invisible Men.
In a statement, Cheryl said: “It’s something that anyone who’s been in love will be able to relate to in some way or another.
“It’s catchy and it’s fun. It’s not about one specific person or relationship, it’s more about me being the lover of love that I am. I just love love!”
This is the ‘Fight For This Love’ hitmaker’s first release since signing to 3Beat and she has explained that this time around she has been able to make music free from the pressures and constraints of a record label.
She said: “I just made the music from a really pure place, music simply for the love of it. I thought, if I don’t know what I’m doing by now, then I don’t know what I’m doing in this industry.”
Cheryl is said to be planning to drop a “string of singles” before she launches a new album, and has signed up for the label – which is a part of Universal, and is home to acts such as Sigma – because of their “huge success” in the singles chart.
A source close to the star said: “When she went into Universal this summer to discuss plans for release, bosses were impressed.
“After several meetings she did a deal with 3Beat because they’ve had huge success in the singles chart in the past few years and would give her creative freedom.
“She has a string of singles she wants to release before committing to an album and now she can test the waters to do whatever she wants.”

Ariana Grande fans ‘discover secret album’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande fans have discovered what appears to be a secret album of unreleased material.
A new record called ‘Nobody Does It Better’ has appeared on Spotify under the name Zandhr, and fans have already started to connect the dots and connect it to the 25-year-old singer.
Although she is yet to comment on it, the voice sounds identical to Ariana’s, and the bio – in upside down writing – features lyrics to ‘No Tears Left To Cry’.
It reads: “Right now I’m in a state of mind, I wanna be in like all the time.”
The only playlist on Zandhr’s verified profile is also a ‘Best Of’ the star’s material, which has added to the speculation.
Some of the tracks also appear to have been played live or leaked in the past, with ‘Champagne’ sounding like a version of ‘Pink Champagne’.
Meanwhile, ‘Nobody Does It Better’ itself is a fan favourite unreleased song which was played live during her ‘Dangerous Woman’ era.
The mysterious development comes after Ariana surprised fans with the sudden release of new single ‘Thank U, Next’ and she has previously hinted a follow-up to ‘Sweetener’ – which dropped over summer – could be revealed before the end of the year under the same name.
She added on Twitter: “exactly …. a new chapter … gratitude, growth, embracing our path bumps n all …. thank u, next … no drags…. no shade….. jus love, gratitude, acceptance, honesty, forgiveness … and growth … this what happens when u write an album w your best friends lol @VictoriaMonet they dig up all your old sayings and it ends up becoming the album title lmao (sic)”

Lynyrd Skynyrd have announced the UK dates of their farewell tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Lynyrd Skynyrd have announced the UK dates of their farewell tour.
The rock icons confirmed earlier this year that, after a 40-year career, they would be embarking on their final ‘Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour’ – and they have now revealed the UK and Europe leg of the run..
The ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ stars will be joined by special guests Status Quo for their UK dates, and tickets will be available to the general public on Friday, November 9 at 9 am.
The current line up of the band includes original members Ronnie Van Zant, Allen Collins and Gary Rossington alongside Johnny Van Zant, Rickey Medlocke, Mark ‘Sparky’ Matejka, Michael Cartellone, Keith Christopher and Peter Keys, while Dale Krantz Rossington and Carol Chase join them on tour.
The band’s story took a tragic turn in October 1977 when a plane crash took the lives of Van Zant, Steve Gaines, backup singer Cassie Gaines, and several of their road crew.
The band took a decade-long hiatus before reuniting for a tour and live album, ‘Southern by the Grace of God’.
Since then, the band has toured and recorded extensively, with their most recent release being ‘Last Of A Dyin’ Breed’ in 2012.
Speaking about the tour earlier this year, guitarist Gary said: “It’s hard to imagine, after all these years, the band that Ronnie Van Zant, Allen Collins and myself started back in Jacksonville, would resonate for this long and to so many generations of fans.
“I’m certain they are looking down from above, amazed that the music has touched so many.”
Vocalist Johnny added: “We’ve been blessed by these great songs and the messages they carry to the fans.
“It’s been a true honour to try and fill in my brother’s footsteps for the past 31 years, keeping the music and his spirit, alive.”

Trent Reznor’s brief Oscar joy

OHMYGOSSIP — Trent Reznor only enjoyed his Oscar win for “18 hours”.
The Nine Inch Nails singer and his collaborator Atticus Ross won the Academy Award for Best Original Score for their work on 2010 movie ‘The Social Network’ and he admitted their success made him wonder what his next career move should be, and he was quickly left feeling inadequate again.
He said: “Your head spins a little bit when your first film goes on to win an Oscar. There’s nowhere to go but down from there, right?
“And you start to wonder — should it be ‘F**k rock and roll! I’ve got a new lease on life that doesn’t have quite the age limit restrictions that playing in a rock band does? Should I put all my eggs in that basket?’
“It wasn’t that our egos were out of control. Because one thing about us is, as great as winning an Oscar is, the next day by lunchtime, we were back to being the same not-good-enough assholes that we were before we’d won one.
“It felt good for maybe 18 hours. It was a great experience and I have a lot of respect for the institution, but it didn’t fix everything that’s wrong with our brains, and our inadequacies remained.”
The ‘Head Like a Hole’ hitmaker admitted he and Atticus considered “begging” legendary movie composer Hans Zimmer for apprenticeships when they first realised what a daunting task they’d taken on with ‘The Social Network’.
He recalled in an interview with Variety: “There was a terrifying ride home for Atticus and myself after watching 20 minutes of the first cut and wondering, ‘What in the hell are we going to do for this movie? There’s not room for any music! It’s constant dialogue. How do you write music for a scene where someone turns the corner and goes down the stairs and it’s eight seconds? I’m not even sure how you even start on that.’
“And after a panicked couple hours of wondering if we should beg Hans Zimmer to let us come make coffee and watch what he does, we thought, let’s try a different approach. Let’s apply to this skill set what we do know how to do.”
Meanwhile, research has shown 2,614 pints of beer and 915 pints of cider were sold when Nine Inch Nails performed at London’s Royal Albert Hall in June – and one cup of peppermint tea.
The 76 glasses of champagne handed over by bar staff at that gig paled into insignificance when compared with Kylie Minogue’s Christmas spectacular, as the clearly-celebratory audience bought 4,846 glasses of fizz during her performance.
Other unusual findings from the venue’s in-house caterers, Rhubarb, included three WWE audience members opting for kale smoothies, while another three bought glasses of milk.
Anthony Winter-Brown, Director of Visitor Experience at the Royal Albert Hall, said: “At the Royal Albert Hall, we have a host of different bars to account for all tastes, from the Heineken Green Room to the Jacob Schweppe’s bar.
“Whether it’s pop, rock or even wrestling, we try to ensure we cater to all tastes, both on and off the stage.”
In 2019, the Hall is launching a new service through the Royal Albert Hall Food and Drink app which allows the audience to order drinks so they are ready for the interval.

Elsa Hosk will model Dream Angels Fantasy Bra

OHMYGOSSIP — Elsa Hosk will model the Dream Angels Fantasy Bra at the 2018 Victoria’s Secret Show and she admits she was “shaking with excitement” when she tried it on for the first time.
The Victoria’s Secret Angel has been chosen to walk in the special lingerie set – which has been crafted by ateliers at Swarovski – when the show is filmed in New York City on November 8 and she is beyond excited to have been chosen for the honour.
Speaking to PEOPLE about her fitting, she said: “It was just a sensation that I’ve never felt before. My body was violently shaking. And it wasn’t because I was nervous, I was just excited. It was a cool feeling that I’ve never felt before. And it was definitely a moment that I’ll never forget.”
This year’s bralette and matching body chain cost $1 million to create and is adorned with over 2,100 Swarovski Created Diamonds and responsibly sourced topaz set in sterling silver.
Elsa – who has been an Angel since 2015 – thinks it is the “most beautiful fantasy bra” that Victoria’s Secret has ever created.
The 29-year-old Swedish supermodel said: “It’s definitely the most beautiful fantasy bra I ever saw, and when I saw it I was like, ‘You guys have got to be kidding me.’
“It’s just very cool, very simple, modern, and so sparkly – If I would have designed it, it would have looked just like this. I put it on and I was like, ‘It looks like someone just made magic and put it on my body.’ ”

Nigella Lawson uses washing up gloves to exfoliate

OHMYGOSSIP — Nigella Lawson uses Marigold washing up gloves to exfoliate her skin.
The 58-year-old television chef has revealed her biggest beauty trick to keeping her face fresh is using the cheap household cleaning aide to scrub her skin.
The Sun reports her saying at a Q&A session in London: “I am the sucker who buys things. I recently bought some washing up gloves with silicone bits on the palm for scrubbing. I exfoliate with them. I like them.”
Despite being a culinary expert, Nigella also revealed that she occasionally eats junk food and she refuses to label the calorific meals as a ‘guilty pleasure’ because they make her happy.
She said: “You should not have any guilt about pleasure. You should only ever feel guilt if you don’t take pleasure. In certain moments I do like a bit of plastic bread with a cheese triangle on. That can be delicious.
“I like old fashioned sweets like rhubarb and custard sweets. The other day I did have a great need for some Milky Ways.”
As well as her unconventional skin-smoothing method, Nigella also has a very strict, yet sparse, bedtime regime where she sleeps in two-hour bursts, catnapping throughout the day and then hitting the hay at 7:30 pm.
She said: “What I like a lot about getting older is you don’t feel embarrassed about going to bed early. I’m like, ‘When can I lie down next?’ That’s all I think about really.
“I would very happily go to bed at 7.30pm. I’m not sleeping. I don’t do much but I need to be lying down. I think that in a way is a wonderful state to be in. I need time to wind down and that takes its own time. I make myself cups of tea as well. I sleep in only two-hour bursts and not many of them.”

A source said: “Gigi and Zayn are in a much better place since splitting. They needed the space apart for a bit and are now are giving things a second chance. They are very happy together and everyone around them can see it.”
Meanwhile, Zayn previously admitted he doesn’t want to put a “label” on their relationship.
He explained: “I’m really thankful that I met her … We’re adults. We don’t need to put a label on it, make it something for people’s expectations.
“I had a very negative outlook on things [while recording my first solo album]. That might have been adolescence or testosterone or whatever the f**k was running through my body at the time. She’s helped me to look at things from a positive angle.”
The couple split up earlier this year but vowed to remain good friends.
Zayn wrote on Twitter at the time: “Gigi and I had an incredibly meaningful, loving and fun relationship and I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend. She has such an incredible soul. I’m grateful to all of our fans for respecting this difficult decision and our privacy at this time, we wish this news could have come from us first. Sally Carman recalls Coronation Street rejection

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’ star Sally Carman was rejected for Faye Brookes, Julia Goulding and Hayley Tamaddon’s parts in the soap.
The former ‘Shameless’ actress joined the show as mechanic Abi Franklin last year without having to audition for the role, but she was previously turned down by the ‘Corrie’ bosses when trying out for the parts of Kate Connor (Faye), Shona Ramsey (Julia) and former cobbles resident Andrea Beckett (Hayley).
She said: “I got a phone call offering me six episodes. I didn’t have to audition and I, of course, said yes. But there has been legwork put in before then.
“I had something like 10 screen tests over the years for different parts.
“Shona was one of the roles I auditioned for, as was Faye Brookes’ character Kate Connor. And Hayley Tamaddon’s character (Andrea Beckett); I was up for that as well. But Abi was worth waiting for.”
Sally insists Abi is the “best fit” for her and she has thanked ‘Corrie’ casting director Gennie Radcliffe for helping her to land a role on the soap.
She said: “Gennie Radcliffe has been my biggest supporter.
“She’s worked so hard to try and get me on the show over the years. She finally managed it, and this character is by far the best fit for me.”
The ‘Prisoners’ Wives’ star feels fortunate to have landed her role as Abi and be starring alongside the likes of Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald), Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs) and Kate Ford (Tracy Barlow).
She added to What’s on TV magazine: “She’s an actor’s dream and I genuinely pinch myself coming into work. I cannot believe that I get to be on the best show on television and also get to play such a fantastic character.
“To be laughing one minute with characters like Steve and Tyrone, then be sobbing my heart out the next with Tracy; it’s brilliant. I’m just so lucky!”
Sally recently admitted she was grateful for Kate and Simon’s support since she started out on the show.
She said: “Simon Gregson is the most generous actor and so funny and so supportive, so is Kate.
“They are both gorgeous people and I could not be happier. It’s the best job in the world.”

When asked if her body has changed since she stopped skating, she replied: “I had Sophie Webster’s jeans on the other day and I sneezed and my flies flew down, so maybe a little bit.”
Since competing on the show, Brooke and her ‘Corrie’ co-star Samia Longchambon (Maria Connor) have been giving tips to their fellow cobbles resident Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby), who is competing on next year’s show alongside pro skater and Samia’s husband, Sylvain Longchambon.
She said: “I’ve told her what to expect from the journey she’ll go on. I love Jane. She’s mega excited.
“She’s good friends with Samia, who competed on the show, so she’s given some tips, too.”

Spice Girls ‘cried’ after reunion announcement

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel B says the Spice Girls “cried” after their reunion announcement.
The ‘Wannabe’ superstars confirmed their big return on Monday (05.11.18) as they revealed plans for their first tour in over a decade, and the singer got together with bandmates Emma Bunton, Mel C and Geri Horner to celebrate the exciting news.
Appearing on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’, she said: “We all went round to Geri’s for a cup of tea, like, ‘Finally we can talk about it!’
“So it’s really exciting, and then we just all did our little group thing together – when we’re together, we don’t like anybody else around us.
“Whether there’s husbands, kids, we move them to the other room so it’s just us four together. We do a little cuddle… and we kinda cried a bit too. It was a sign of relief, like, finally we’re gonna do it!”
Mel also opened up about the band’s mantra of ‘Girl Power’, and explained they wanted to preach about the idea of women “supporting” each other.
She added: “All we wanted to do was spread the message of women supporting other women, no matter what you look like, what background you come from. Just about embracing the fact that you’re a woman – especially back then and especially now.”

Taking to Instagram, she wrote: “Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012!
