The Row launching menswear collection

OHMYGOSSIP — The Row is launching a menswear line.
Designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, 32, set up their womenswear label 12 years ago and now the pair are branching out with a new collection for men, which will include denim, knitwear, tailored separates, and suits.
Ashley said in a statement: “We did one menswear capsule collection many years ago, and in 2016 launched a retail menswear capsule. It was imperative that we received our customers’ feedback and to approach this collection thoughtfully at our pace.”
The collection, inspired by the 80s and 90s, will launch in October and prices will range from $3,950 to $5,795 and Ashley and Mary-Kate have spent a great deal of time on creating the perfect suit.
Ashley said: “We spent a year really figuring out the fit of the suit,” while Mary-Kate added, “Single-breasted, double-breasted, tuxedo.”
The pair have admitted that the growth of their brand has surprised them both.
Ashley told WSJ Magazine: “We never started the company with the intention of it being a fashion brand.”
Mary-Kate said: “It’s not like one day we wake up and say, we’re going to grow this business, and we’re going to have a menswear collection. That’s not the way we look at it.”
And the pair believe that being twins has helped them find success with their fashion brand.
Ashley explained: “It’s been 32 years of learning how to communicate. It’s a marriage and a partnership. We have had ups and downs. We do everything together.”

Absolute Radio’s Dave Berry to become a dad for first time

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Berry is to become a father for the first time.
The Absolute Radio host has announced that he and his wife Sarah-Jane are expecting their first child together – just six months after they secretly tied the knot – and are looking forward to meeting their little one in December.
Speaking on his radio show on Tuesday (28.08.18), he said: “I return from my holidays with news. The news is, my wife and I are expecting our first child. Exciting but scary news. We are so, so happy it’s great.”
Although she’s over half way through her pregnancy, the 39-year-old radio presenter is still trying to get his head around the idea of a special pillow.
He explained: “I’d never seen a pregnancy pillow before, never mind use one. Let me tell you I think that my performances on FIFA have gone up five or six notches. Admittedly Sarah Jane who is the pregnant one is saying: ‘Can I please have the pillow back because I really want a nap.’ To which I reply: ‘Is it more important that you have a nap, or I get Charlton back into the Premiere League?'”
Dave also shared the happy news with his Instagram followers shortly after the announcement live on air as he uploaded a photo of her blossoming baby bump.
He captioned it: “A bunch of Berrys,” followed by a red heart emoji.
Their baby news is the first thing the couple have willingly shared with the public as they are very careful about keeping their relationship close to their chests.
They did, however, give fans a glimpse of their wedding reception shortly after they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall.
Dave uploaded a photograph at the time of him and Sarah-Jayne cutting their wedding cake before he fed the rainbow design to his little niece.

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B is obsessed with her daughter’s lips.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker has admitted she can’t stop staring at her little girl Kulture’s mouth because it’s the most perfect shape she’s ever seen.
Taking to her Instagram account, she wrote: “KK lips are literally like this (lips emoji) … Sooo pretty my baby (sic),” followed by a red heart emoji.
The 25-year-old rapper is besotted with her six-week-old daughter, whom she has with her husband Offset, and recently admitted that looking into her eyes gives her “strength” but also makes her very emotional.
She said: “When my babygirl locks eyes with me the strength and emotions i get it’s unexplainable. I love this baby so much and i know she loves me too . Soo deep in love I can’t find the words (sic).”
Although the tiny tot melts her mother’s heart, Kulture already has a bit of an attitude as she’s started sticking her middle finger up at everyone all the time.

Helen Flanagan’s partner nearly missed birth

OHMYGOSSIP — Helen Flanagan’s partner almost missed the birth of their child.
The 28-year-old actress gave birth to her second daughter Delilah, who she shares with Scott Sinclair, earlier this year – and the ‘Coronation Street’ star has revealed that the footballer was close to not making it to the birth of their baby.
In an interview with OK!! magazine, she said: “Delilah’s birth was so quick – Scott almost missed it.”
Scott said: “Helen texted me when she got down to the hospital telling me to come down when I finished training, and within half an hour I had another text saying, ‘You need to get here now!’
“In the car on the way she must have called me six times telling me to hurry up, which panicked me a bit! I got there an hour later Delilah was born.”
Helen, who is mother to three-year-old Matilda, wanted to give birth in a natural way and opted for a water birth – and although the brunette beauty loved her birth, she admitted it was much more painful than her last.
She said: “I felt very anxious during my pregnancy about giving birth naturally, so I had mentioned to Scott that I’d like a cesarean section – but when I read there was a six week recovery time, I realised it was unrealistic with Matilda to look after too.
“I opted for a water birth instead, which I loved. Luckily my labour went really well, although it was much more painful than my first birth. At points I felt like I was about to explode because my contractions were so intense.”
Helen used just gas and air for pain relief, and 29-year-old Scott helped his partner though the birth by trying to focus on her breathing and relaxing her.
He said: “It was horrible seeing her in pain and not being able to do anything about it. All I could do was concentrate on helping her get her breathing right and trying to calm her down. ”

Aladdin cast recalled for reshoots?

OHMYGOSSIP — The cast of Disney’s live-action ‘Aladdin’ were reportedly recalled to London earlier this month for reshoots.
The Guy Ritchie-directed film was supposed to finish shooting in January, but movie executives at Disney decided to ask for more shoots after they were unimpressed by an early cut of the film.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Disney wasn’t massively impressed with the first draft and had its cast return to London to reshoot parts of the movie.
“They are eager for it to do as well as last year’s ‘Beauty & The Beast’, which made £1 billion at the box office.”
The studio bosses also called for more non-white actors to star in the movie, following criticism that white actors were using make-up to look more Middle Eastern.
The source added: “They want it to be respectful and feel authentic, so they cast more Middle Eastern extras for crowd scenes.
“Will Smith also came back for the reshoots because they decided to expand his role as the Genie.
“Now they are a lot more confident with what they have.”
The live-action movie – which stars Canadian actor Mena Massoud as Aladdin and Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine – is scheduled for release in May 2019.
Despite being one of the film industry’s best-known directors, Guy’s two most recent efforts – ‘King Arthur’ and ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.’ – have both failed to turn a profit.

Cary Fukunaga says he was ditched for It due to studio fears

OHMYGOSSIP — Cary Fukunaga thinks he was ditched as the director of ‘It’ because the studio feared he would go rogue.
The 41-year-old filmmaker wrote the script for the 2017 horror movie and he was also set to direct the project, but he exited the movie two weeks before filming began and Andy Muschietti was instead drafted in.
He reflected: “I think it was fear on their part, that they couldn’t control me.”
Asked whether the studio’s perception of him was accurate, Cary told GQ magazine: “No, they thought they couldn’t control me. I would have been a total collaborator.
“That was the kind of ridiculous part. It was just more a perception. I have never seen a note and been like, ‘F**k you, guys’. No way. It’s always been a conversation.”
Cary said that contrary to popular perception, he’s actually open to compromise and has been wiling to make sweeping changes to some of his earlier projects.
The director – who helmed the 2015 war drama ‘Beasts of No Nation’, which starred Idris Elba – said: “I don’t think I’ve ever been able to make something uncompromising. Like, someone commented on ‘Beasts’, ‘Oh, how did it feel to make a movie that’s uncompromising?’
“Like, uncompromising? I had to rewrite my entire third act ’cause we didn’t have the money to finish the film. We compromise all over the place.”

Avicii’s family create digital memorial

OHMYGOSSIP — Avicii’s family have turned his website into a digital memorial.
The 28-year-old DJ – whose real name was Tim Bergling – died by suicide on April 20 and his family have asked his fans to join with them in keeping his memory and legacy alive through his website Avicii.com.
A message on the website reads: “Tim created music that brought people together with timeless memories from all over the world. We created this space so you could share your memories with us and let the world know what Avicii meant to you. His music and your memories are forever.”
Fans have been invited to share their personal stories of how the DJ touched their lives.
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that a posthumous Avicii track featuring Chris Martin called ‘Heaven’ will be released.
Avicii’s long-time collaborator, Carl Falk, revealed last month that he’s working on a number of unreleased songs by the ‘Wake Me Up’ hitmaker, including one with the Coldplay frontman.
The mixing process has been “emotional” for the studio wizard, who misses having his late pal with him “doubting ever little detail” of his work.
Alongside a picture of the mix on his computer, Carl wrote on Instagram: “Yesterday was a strange and emotional day in many ways trying to finishing these songs. It’s not the same producing without you by my side. I miss you hanging over my shoulder doubting every little thing and detail in the song. #avicii #heaven (sic)”
Swedish site Aftonbladet previously reported that the EDM star left behind nearly 200 tracks when he passed away.
According to a source, Avicii’s family met with the star’s record label, Geffen Records, to discuss the possibility of releasing a record of unreleased material.
Commenting on the songs, Geffen manager Neil Jacobs said: “It was honestly Avicii’s best music for many years.”
If an album is released, it will be the first since 2015’s ‘Stories’.
Avicii retired from performing in 2016 citing health issues as his reason for calling time on his shows.
He had been battling with acute pancreatitis – which is a potentially life-threatening inflammation of the pancreas – due in part to excessive alcohol consumption, and had his gallbladder and appendix removed in 2014.

Mariah Carey’s new music will cover a range of emotions

OHMYGOSSIP — Mariah Carey is ready to bare her soul in her new music.
The 48-year-old singer – who has announced plans to extend her Las Vegas residency ‘The Butterfly Returns’ into 2019 – is currently working on new music and says it will cover the whole range of emotions she has been feeling.
She told PEOPLE: “I’ve been working on my new album for a while. This is a labour of love and I’m really excited. This is me at this moment in my life being able to express myself as a writer and a singer. I’m just really in a good place.
“My fans just want to hear me express myself and speak from the heart and sing from the heart. Some of the record is lighthearted and fun, and some [songs] I really went deep in terms of the lyrical content. There’s a nice cross-section of things.”
Mariah is also excited about changing up the setlist of her residency to surprise her fans.
She said: “I’ve been loving it so much. A lot of the fans who have come out to see it were really happy having a little more diversity. I want to make it really impromptu and surprise the people who have come out again and again to see the show.”
Mariah’s ‘Butterfly Returns’ Las Vegas residency shows, opened at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in July and was originally set to finish in September.
However, she has now added five new dates in February for her fans.
Meanwhile, Mariah previously revealed she is thrilled to be back in the recording studio.
She said: “It’s really nice writing and collaborating. Writing is the best part of the process.
“Most people may love performing more – I’m not saying I don’t – but I love being in the lab and working on new material and pouring my heart into it.”

Lauryn Hill hits back at claims she stole music

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauryn Hill has defended herself against claims she stole music for her album ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
The 43-year-old star took to Medium to pen a lengthy essay defending herself after jazz musician Robert Glasper claimed earlier this month that Lauryn had “stolen all of [his] friends’ music” during the making of the 1998 record.
In 2001, Lauryn settled a lawsuit with four musicians from the album who claimed they had been denied writing credits.
In her essay, she wrote: “I apologise for the delay in getting this posted, I was late in hearing about it. I understand this is long, but my last interview was over a decade ago.
“The Miseducation was the first time I worked with musicians outside of the Fugees [whose] report and working relationship was clear. In an effort to create the same level of comfort, I may not have established the necessary boundaries and may have been more inviting than I should have been.
“In hindsight, I would have handled it differently for the removal of any confusion. And I have handled it differently since, I’m clear and I make clear before someone walks in the door what I am and am not looking for. I may have been inclusive, but these are my songs.”
She also refuted Glasper’s allegations that she was difficult to work with and she cut musicians’ pay when she was displeased with them.
Lauryn wrote: “Don’t have the details or recollection of cutting the band’s pay in half. If fees had been negotiated and confirmed without my knowledge, I may have asked for them to be adjusted. But I would never just cut a musician’s pay arbitrarily unless I had a legitimate reason. There are artists who do cut pay though, James Brown was notorious for docking musicians if they did something he didn’t like, I’m sure there are others.
“Men often can say ‘I want it done like this’ and not be challenged. The same rules don’t always apply for women who may be met with resistance. When this happens you replace that player with someone who respects you and the office you hold.”

Doctor Who director promises ‘zany’ CGI world

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor Who will enter a “zany” CGI world in an upcoming episode.
Although details of Jodie’s reign at the helm of the TARDIS have been sparse, new series director Jennifer Perrott has given fans a hint of the computer generated world the Time Lord will inhabit in the new season.
Jennifer told Doctor Who magazine: “I did have a zany action sequence in studio where we just had the actors, green screen and fans blowing their hair – the entire world around them will be created with visual effects.
“I can’t wait to see what those geniuses at [effects house] DNEG create for that.”
Jennifer also revealed that she binge-watched the show in preparation for her work on the upcoming series with showrunner Chris Chibnall.
She said: “[It’s] such an iconic show and one I’d loved as a child, especially when Tom Baker was the Doctor.
“I hadn’t kept up with every episode of more recent series, so I binge-watched the last few seasons and became intrigued both by directing the show and by sci-fi generally.
“Space travel has become more a part of modern life since the 1980s, when I last watched the show religiously. I can see how this has opened the door for more human stories to be told amidst the escapist fantasy of saving the world from alien invasion.
“The aliens are now as emotionally complex as the humans, and I was really excited by that.”
Chibnall recently praised the team of writers and directors for the new series, saying he is excited by the talent at his disposal.
He said: “”We have a team of writers who’ve been working quietly and secretly for a long time now, crafting characters, worlds and stories to excite and move you. A set of directors who stood those scripts up on their feet, bringing those ideas, visuals and emotions into existence with bravura and fun.
“Hailing from a range of backgrounds, tastes and styles, here’s what unites them: they are awesome people as well as brilliant at their job. (It matters!) They love Doctor Who. And they’ve all worked above and beyond the call of duty in an effort to bring audiences something special, later this year.”

Gemma Collins dumped Arg over Lydia Bright drama

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins dumped James ‘Arg’ Argent after he admitted he would never love her like his ex-fiancée.
The ‘TOWIE’ co-stars have had an on/off relationship but Arg left Gemma heartbroken when he told her that she could not compete with his former love Lydia Bright.
In footage from Gemma’s new reality TV show ‘Diva Espana’, obtained by The Sun, Gemma sobs: “It’s really hard – because things ain’t great with James. And it’s not because of me it’s because of him. It’s f***ing hard. I have to keep going but I don’t want to.
“He said ‘I’m gonna take a bit of time for myself. I’m sorry… I love you so much, I’ve gotta get myself sorted.’ I’m really struggling now myself. I don’t know if this is right.’
“He doesn’t care that I’m his girlfriend… and the fact that someone says to me does it hurt that I’ll never love you like I loved my ex-girlfriend.. like it took me to go out in a yacht to talk this through. I ain’t f***ing about here… I’m not living another day in this circus – his circus.”
James, 30, can then be seen asking Gemma, 37, to move out of their shared villa.
He tells her: “I’m gonna take a bit of time for myself. I’m sorry… I love you so much, I’ve gotta get myself sorted.
“I’m really struggling now myself. I don’t know if this is right.”
It has since been revealed that Arg has checked into rehab and Gemma has been supporting him.
She told MailOnline: “It was incredibly raw, yes, it’s been an incredibly difficult summer. But, that said, you know, we’re back now in Essex and Arg is receiving help and you know, as long as he’s doing well, that’s great for him and for us.
“I’m just supporting him on his journey and I’m feeling pleased that the viewers get to see what goes on behind the cameras and I think it’s good for them to see that behind all the glamour there’s real ups and downs, even in celebrities’ lives.”
Diva Espana will air on ITVBe on Wednesday (29.08.18) at 9pm.

Iggy Azalea’s terrifying nightmare

OHMYGOSSIP — Iggy Azalea has been suffering from terrifying nightmares.
The 28-year-old rapper awoke in the early hours on Monday morning (28.08.18) traumatised by a night vision which left her scared and disorientated.
Telling her 7.95 million Twitter followers about her frightening dream, she tweeted: “Just woke up from one of those weird ass nightmares where you’re still out of it and start talking out loud to the person in your room hiding only to focus your vision more and realize it’s a painting on your wall. F**k my life. (sic)”
In a bid to prevent future nightmares, Iggy – who recently split from NFL player DeAndre Hopkins – may have to change her movie viewing habits.
Last week, the ‘Black Widow’ hitmaker watched acclaimed horror film ‘Hereditary’ and admitted that it left her “disturbed”.
She tweeted: “Hereditary is one of the most genuinely horrifying films I’ve seen in my adult life. I am disturbed.”
Supernatural fright-fest ‘Hereditary’ stars Toni Collette as miniaturist Annie Graham who is trying to deal with the grief of her own mother’s death whilst also handling the problems of her own family, husband Peter Graham (Gabriel Byrne) and their two children, schoolgirl daughter Charlie (Milly Shapiro) and pot-head teenage son Peter (Alex Wolff).
Annie’s estranged mother had been living with the Grahams before she died and the discovery of some cryptic papers in her belongings which uncover terrifying secrets about the family’s ancestry leading to horrific consequences.

Vogue Williams: Spencer Matthews will be a hands-on dad

OHMYGOSSIP — Vogue Williams says Spencer Matthews will be a “hands-on dad”.
The couple – who tied the knot in June – are expecting their first child, a son, and the 32-year-old Irish presenter can’t wait for her 29-year-old husband to meet their little boy because he’s so “good” with children.
Asked what kind of father the former ‘Made in Chelsea’ star will be, Vogue told OK! magazine: “He’s going to be a hands-on dad. He’s so excited.
“He just has a thing with children – they love him and he loves hanging around with them. He’s going to be a really great dad.”
Vogue – who met Spencer when they competed against each other on the Channel 4 celebrity ski show ‘The Jump’ in 2017 – suffered with bad morning sickness in the early stages of her pregnancy and has to take a nap every day.
Vogue admitted she just wants their little one, who is due imminently, to arrive as soon as possible.
She said: “I’m totally ready for it. Physically I’m feeling really good.
“I’ve been so lucky with my pregnancy. I had quite bad morning sickness and heartburn but, for the most part, I’ve been okay.
“I’m still able to work, but I have to nap every day.
“I’m so excited, I just want the birth to happen.”
Vogue has been criticised on social media for continuing with her fitness throughout her pregnancy and she wishes people would change their attitude towards exercising whilst carrying a child, because doctors generally advise that it’s fine.
She said: “Everybody’s pregnancy is different, and pregnancy isn’t a disability or an illness. Some people think that when women get pregnant they’re incapable of doing what they did before – I think it’s wrong to look at it like that.
“Of course, everything is more difficult – you’re carrying a human being. But if my doctor said that’s okay, then it’s nobody else’s business.”
The blonde beauty said that as soon as she gets the all-clear from her doctor to train again after she gives birth, she will be straight back at it as her exercise regime keeps her mental health in check.
She said: “As soon as I get the okay from my doctor, because I don’t just use the gym for my body, I also find it really good for my mind.
“I’ll probably struggle not doing it for a couple of weeks, as I’ve not taken a few weeks off training since I was 16.”

Christina Aguilera: I couldn’t date another celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Christina Aguilera could never date another celebrity.
The 37-year-old singer – who has been with her partner Matthew Rutler since 2010 – thinks it would be impossible for her to sustain a healthy, stable relationship with another star.
She explained: “I’ve had opportunities, but it isn’t my style to date another person in the business. There’s gotta be something wrong with you if you want to be in this business.
“I mean, hi! I definitely have my issues. I think that I can only handle one [celebrity] in the relationship, and I need to be it.”
Christina also revealed she thinks it’s important for women to be proud of themselves and their appearance, rather than conforming to what men want or expect of them.
Christina said she hopes that her steamy video for her hit song ‘Dirrty’ has “paved the way” for other women to follow.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan magazine, the pop star – who has kids Summer, four, and Max, 10, with Matthew – shared: “I love the female body, and I think it’s something to be proud of, not something that men should dictate ownership of.
“‘Dirrty’ was extremely controversial at the time, but it would be nothing now. I hope I paved the way and helped set the ground rules that women can be any version of themselves they wanna be … and proud of it.”
Christina appears on the front cover of her new album, ‘Liberation’, without wearing any make-up.
And the chart-topping star has revealed why she thought it was an important step.
She said: “I still love getting glammed up, but I want to show imperfections on this go-round. It’s scary, but I’m up for the challenge. You can’t tell me something I haven’t already heard about myself anyway.”

Stevie Ritchie says he still ‘loves’ former X-Factor flame Chloe Jasmine

OHMYGOSSIP — Stevi Ritchie says he and Chloe Jasmine are “stronger than ever”.
The 38-year-old former ‘X Factor’ contestant – who got engaged to Chloe, 27, in July 2015 and called it off a year later – met during his girlfriend during the 11th series of the ITV singing competition, but the pair ended their relationship shortly after appearing on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
However, speaking on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’ about his relationship with Chloe, Stevi said: “I am still with Chloe, she’s great. I haven’t seen much of her lately because I’m so busy up and down the country with my gigs like, ‘A Night with Stevi Ritchie’.
“It’s very complicated, but I mean we’re all good now. We’re not living together, no. I have got a house.”
Despite the turbulent nature of their relationship, Stevi revealed he still hopes to marry Chloe one day, even though they rarely get to spend quality time together because of their schedules.
He said: “I hope so eventually, I really do. I love her, she’s a great girl. Very eccentric.
“We’re happy, we’re a lot stronger now. The trouble is I just haven’t seen her. That’s the problem. Not through choice.”
Despite their on-off relationship, the pair went on holiday together in April and Stevi last posted about Chloe via social media in June, fuelling rumours that the couple were back-on.
The former reality TV star has turned to stand-up comedy to make his living, and he’s admitted to loving his new life on the road.
Stevie said: “I think I’ve got one of those faces that people just laugh at anyway. I just pretty much stand there and have a laugh at and take the mick yeah out of myself.”

Ashlee Simpson says Saturday Night Live incident made her stronger

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashlee Simpson feels she’s become a “stronger” person since her ‘Saturday Night Live’ drama.
The 33-year-old star was widely criticised following her appearance on the comedy show in October 2004, when it emerged during her performance that she’d lip-synced her way through one of her hit tracks – but Ashlee feels she’s now moved on from the controversy.
She said: “It’s definitely not difficult to talk about … that was a very long time ago.
“It’s something that happened to me and things in life happen to you and they make you stronger and they make you a better performer, a better person. I think things like that build your character and your strength and it’s how you handle them.”
Ashlee has largely withdrawn from the spotlight following the incident on ‘Saturday Night Live’.
But with the launch of her new docu-series ASHLEE+EVAN – which also stars her husband Evan Ross – fans will be given an insight into her personal evolution.
She told E! News: “For me, I feel like it’s been such a long time since I’ve been out.
“I came to a place where I was like, ‘Well I do want people to know where I’m at and who I am in my life.’ I was a teen, angsty girl on my show back in the day and now I’m a woman and a mother.”
Meanwhile, Ashlee – who already has kids Jagger, three, and Bronx, nine – recently revealed that she and Evan plan to expand their brood next year.
Asked about the possibility of extending their family, the singer – who is the younger sister of Jessica Simpson – shared: “It’s definitely soon … in the next year. Definitely in the next year would be nice.”
