Emilia Clarke tricked GOT cast with burn mark

OHMYGOSSIP — Emilia Clarke once tricked her ‘Game of Thrones’ cast mates into thinking she had a birth mark on her face after she accidentally burnt herself on curling tongs.
The 31-year-old actress has admitted she managed to fool her co-stars into thinking she’d always had a pink mark on her face after she rocked up to the show’s wrap party once with a painful burn mark following a failed hair style.
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar magazine, she said: “I’m good at doing my own make-up; terrible at doing my own hair. Can’t do it to save my life. Never have been, never will be. I had a book of hairstyles when I was aged nine that my mum got me, that was like ‘how to do a French braid’ and months and months I poured over that book – and I can’t do it.
“If I try and curl my own hair I burn my face or my ears, I’m hopeless. I recently burnt my face before the ‘Game of Thrones’ wrap party and everyone was like ‘we never noticed that massive birth mark on your face!’ and I was like, ‘no, it’s a burn…’ I had my head under the tap for about three hours!”
Emilia takes her beauty regime very seriously but she doesn’t believe in a whole cabinet of lotions and potions and, instead, relies on a silk pillow that she flips every night to ensure her pores don’t get clogged and her hair stays frizz-free.
She explained: “I do the silk pillows. Because that’s easy. They’re not any more expensive than normal pillow cases. They actually aren’t.
“And make sure they’re clean! A lot of us are lucky and we like to sleep in a double bed – so let’s say you have four pillows; one night you sleep on one side, the next night flip it over the other side, the next night do the same with the other pillow – and that way you’ve got a weeks’ worth of clean pillow case against your skin! And if you ever have frizzy hair problems, sleeping on a silk pillowcase really helps that too. It really makes a difference.”

Catherine Tyldesley threatens husband with boob ban

OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine Tyldesley has threatened her husband with never seeing her breasts again – after he suggested she unblock their toilet by hand.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress took to her Instagram to share an image of a What’s App exchange with her hubby Tom Pitfield, in which she joked he will be banned from seeing her assets if he didn’t “retract” his “stupid” idea that she could delve into their loo with her bare hands to sift out toilet paper.
In the message exchange, Catherine wrote: “Babe toilet is BLOCKED (sic)”
Tom replied: “Get your hand down there
“Empty the paper into a plastic bag
“Job done (sic)”
But she replied: “If you EVER want to see my boobs again you’ll retract that stupid suggestion. I’m a princess Tom. A PRINCESS. Ffs…. (sic)”
Catherine then joked Tom was feeling “deluded”.
She added the caption: “Christ… my husband is quite clearly deluded this morning … as IF (sic)”
While the exchange had her fans in stitches, Catherine’s supporters recently shot to her defence on social media after a Twitter user questioned why she was posing for photoshoots rather than being at home with her and Tom’s three-year-old son Alfie.
The social media user wrote: “Why do you feel the need to post pics and selfies of yourself online? You are a Mother and a responsible adult. How do you have time to have photo shoots etc? Don’t you feel guilty seeking self gratification while your child is at home without their Mother? (sic)”
A shocked Catherine replied: “Wow… I mean I’m speechless. Is it 1950?? Mum shaming??? Really??? I have no need to justify or explain my actions to you or anyone. So much for parents empowering and supporting each other. May your heart find joy and gratitude . Blessings x (sic)”
But the Twitter user later apologised.

Sally Ann Matthews suggests CBB’s Hardeep covers up while cooking

OHMYGOSSIP — Sally Ann Matthews has been accused of “body shaming” after she said Hardeep Singh Kohli should be “forced” to wear clothes on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who plays Jenny Connor on the ITV soap – asked her Twitter followers if a petition should be started to encourage the TV presenter to don more garments on the Channel 5 reality show.
She tweeted: “Can we start a petition to force Hardeep to wear clothes please? x (sic)”
But Sally’s comment provoked a mixed reaction from the Twittersphere, with some claiming she was “body shaming” the former ‘The One Show’ reporter.
One Twitter user wrote: “You better included all the males in the house then yes?
Or are you just body shaming one person?
answers on a postcard ty. (sic)”
But Sally replied: “No one else is semi-naked anywhere near as much and doesn’t cook half clothed. No body-shaming.
“If he was in the garden, bedroom, bathroom, pool then absolutely fine but he’s in the kitchen, at the dining table… x (sic)”
Another social media user suggested Dan Osborne is also shirt-less “pretty much all the time” on the coverage, and Sally admitted she “doesn’t want to look at him either”.
And the ‘Corrie’ actress admitted she “doesn’t like” the ‘TOWIE’ star’s tattoos anyway.
She wrote: “I really don’t like tats either.”
Several Twitter users defended Sally’s suggestion, including one who wrote: “To be fair you wouldn’t cook with your baps out – so it’s not body shaming it’s common sense (sic)”
She replied: “Exactly! x (sic)”

Vogue Williams gives birth to baby boy

OHMYGOSSIP — Vogue Williams has given birth to a baby boy.
The 32-year-old DJ and her husband Spencer Matthews welcomed their first child into the world on Wednesday (05.09.19) morning – less than a week after her due date – in a “quiet London hospital” at 3.55.
Taking to her Instagram account, the blonde beauty uploaded a photograph of her holding her baby’s tiny toes and accompanied it with the caption: This morning at 3:55am, we welcomed our son into a quiet London hospital… He is beautiful and healthy. We feel truly blessed (sic)”
Spencer made his own announcement on his social networking site by uploading a photo of him holding the tiny tot’s fingers and praising his wife on his delivery.
He wrote: “This morning at 3:55am, we welcomed our son into a quiet London hospital… He is beautiful and healthy. We feel truly blessed. Couldn’t be more proud of @voguewilliams (sic)”.
The couple are yet to release anymore details on their son’s birth, but it’s believed they already had a name picked out for him prior to his arrival.
A source said recently: “The couple are keeping the reasons for choosing Stanley very close to their chests but decided pretty quickly that this was the perfect name for their first-born.”
Vogue – who suffered with morning sickness for the first three months of her pregnancy
– managed to continue working right up until her due date and she believes a lot of that has to do with the fact she stayed active throughout.
She said recently: “I’m totally ready for it. Physically I’m feeling really good.
“I’ve been so lucky with my pregnancy. I had quite bad morning sickness and heartburn but, for the most part, I’ve been okay. I’m still able to work, but I have to nap every day. I’m so excited, I just want the birth to happen.”

Millie Mackintosh’s school bullies tried to befriend her after fame

OHMYGOSSIP — Millie Mackintosh’s school bullies tried to befriend her once she became famous.
The 29-year-old reality TV star shot into the limelight in 2011 when she appeared on the E4 show ‘Made in Chelsea’ and she has admitted some of the people who used to torment her at school and made her life a misery reached out to her afterwards because they wanted to get in on her then-new celebrity status.
Speaking in the anti-bullying charity The Diana Award’s Back2School campaign, she explained: “I don’t really use Facebook socially anymore but when I actually went on TV there were people coming out the woodwork and suddenly being really friendly, it made me laugh. I thought, ‘Well things were quite different a few years ago.’ They’re definitely not by best buddies now.”
And, although she found it soul-destroying at the time, Millie believes the bullying she went through as a youngster has made her a “stronger” person today.
She said: “I think it has made me stronger because bullying doesn’t necessarily end with school, you experienced bullies in lots of different stages of life.
“I learnt how to handle it and how to deal with it early on. I got through it, I survived it and I felt much better once I’d left school. I think it’s different for everybody but I was lucky had a real supportive family.”
However, the blonde beauty believes bullying is a lot easier to do nowadays because of the growth of social media and people hiding behind their computers.
She added: “I think social media has made it much more accessible, anyone can be a target, but it’s a very cowardly way of bullying. There’s no way you’d say that stuff to that person’s face. It’s much harder to get away from it.”

Hollyoaks grooming plot sparks ‘big spikes’ in charity calls

OHMYGOSSIP — A sexual abuse charity has seen “big spikes” in calls when recent ‘Hollyoaks’ episodes featuring its child grooming plot have aired.
Duncan Craig, CEO of Survivors Manchester – who provide therapeutic and peer support to boys and men affected by sexual violence – says the organisation have seen first-hand just how much of a “direct impact” the hard-hitting storyline has had on people seeking help and advice.
He said: “We know ‘Hollyoaks’ and drama has a direct result on whether people speak up or don’t speak up.
“For instance, from some very key episodes already we can see the data. During July, when a lot of the storyline was played out, we ended up with these quite big spikes of people asking for help.
“The roles that you’re playing having a direct impact on people’s lives.”
Duncan has worked closely with ‘Hollyoaks’ on the story, which has seen football coach Buster Smith – played by Nathan Sussex – groom Ollie Morgan (Aedan Duckworth).
Adam Woodward – who plays Brody Hudson, another of Buster’s victims, in the soap – admitted Duncan’s advice has been “crucial” to play out the plot realistically.
Speaking at a Q&A about the storyline, he added: “Working with charities like Survivors Manchester is integral to the research process for stories such as this.”
This comes after Survivors Manchester teamed up with ‘Coronation Street’ for a plot which saw David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) raped by Josh Tucker (Ryan Clayton) earlier this year.
The storyline saw the charity’s calls increase by more than 1,700 per cent in March.

Brie Larson says Captain Marvel trailer will ‘break the internet’

OHMYGOSSIP — Brie Larson has predicted the new ‘Captain Marvel’ trailer will “break the internet”.
The 28-year-old actress sent a tweet to Entertainment Weekly about the much-anticipated trailer, which is set to be released later today (05.09.18), and has suggested the teaser will stop Marvel fans in their tracks.
Brie wrote: “Hey @EW I’m bored. Wanna break the Internet tomorrow? (sic)”
And the website subsequently responded by saying: “Yes! Meet us here at noon ET. We’ve got something Marvel-ous in mind (sic)”
Then, Brie replied: “It’s a DATE! (sic)”
‘Captain Marvel’ is set for release in March 2019, and producer Nate Moore recently gave fans an insight into what they should expect from the film, saying it won’t be like the typical origin story.
He explained: “I think there is a structure to origin films that audiences sometimes can get ahead of very quickly. So, if we do origin films, internally, we talk about how we can subvert that structure.
“For instance, ‘Captain Marvel’ is an origin movie in that you haven’t seen her before, but we think we’ve stumbled upon a structure there that isn’t the traditional structure of what origin movies typically are, which is you meet the character, they have a problem, they get powers at the end of the first act, and the end of the second act they learn about the powers, the third act they probably fight a villain who has a function of the same powers.”

Dave Bautista wants Drax to have a standalone movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Bautista wants his ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ character to be given his own standalone movie.
The 49-year-old actor stars as Drax in the money-spinning film franchise and he’s revealed he would love the character to be given his own movie – but he doesn’t think it will happen.
He said: “I really pushed and fought for the Drax standalone film but I don’t think it’s ever going to happen.
“I really wish they would because I think there’s a story to be told there and I think the fans would really love to see that story, even if it’s not me portraying Drax, I just think it is an interesting story to tell.”
Bautista feels Drax’s backstory has been “lost and overlooked a little bit” by Marvel.
Speaking to MTV, he added: “It’s a beautiful and heartbreaking emotional thing to know where that love for his family and that heartbreak over his family being lost and murdered, where it comes from I think.”
Meanwhile, Bautista recently admitted he is still unsure whether or not he will star in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’.
The actor confessed he doesn’t know whether he’ll reprise the role of Drax in the scheduled Marvel movie following the decision to fire director James Gunn over a series of controversial tweets he previously posted.
He explained: “It’s a bittersweet conversation. No, it’s a bitter-bitter conversation, because I’m not really happy with what they’ve done with James Gunn.
“They’re putting the movie off. It’s on hold indefinitely. To be honest with you, I don’t know if I want to work for Disney.”

Paul Greengrass hails the impact of streaming services

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Greengrass thinks streaming services can help to bridge the gap between mainstream cinema and art-house movies.
The 63-year-old director’s new film ’22 July’ – which is based on the aftermath of the 2011 terrorist attack by Anders Breivik – is to be screened on Netflix, and Paul has revealed where he sees streaming services fitting in the broader context of the film business.
He explained: “Part of the reason for going there is they’re expanding the boundaries of theatrical release. I think they are making it essentially analogous to a strong committed art-house release, which is what you would expect theatrically for a film like this. This is never going to be a multiplex film, is it?
“But what was fantastic from my point of view was they essentially said, ‘That’s where we want to be, we want to be able to do what an art-house release for this film could do’ but also link that to the platform with 130 million subscribers, most of them young people.
“That was perfect for this film because I do think that it will get a very large online audience of young people – these are the people I want to see this film. ”
Paul said streaming services are ideal for attracting a younger audience to a non-mainstream movie.
He told Deadline: “They are simply not going to go to an art-house cinema. They’ll come out to a multiplex movie, ‘Black Panther’ or ‘Avengers’ or whatever, but they’re not going to come out if it’s presented in a way that appeals to people like you and I.
“But I wanted to do it because any filmmaker wants to be where the future is.
“Cinema is going to be experienced by its audiences in many ways simultaneously. But I don’t think that threatens the art of cinema. I think it’s just part of its inevitable change.”

Adam Lambert just wants to honour Freddie Mercury

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Lambert was super “nervous” the first time he took Freddie Mercury’s place as the frontman of Queen.
The 36-year-old singer has been singing with the ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ group on tour since 2012 after impressing guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor when he performed a medley with the pair and the other finalists on ‘American Idol’ in the early part of that year and although he has been accepted by Queen fans he had major concerns about filling the late Freddie’s shoes.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Adam said: “When we first got together to perform a whole show, I’m happy to say it went really well. It was a success, and we pulled it off, but man, I was really nervous beforehand.
“Not only did I have to make sure my voice held up and I know all the words … But it was also the perception of the fans; I definitely had some concerns.”
Even though he has been with Queen for six years, Adam still only considers himself to be a custodian of Freddie’s tracks and he can never ever match what the rock icon achieved in his life.
And the pop star insists he is content to just keep alive the legacy of Freddie – who tragically died in 1991 aged 45 due to an AIDS-related illness.
He said: “This is not my music that I wrote: This is me, as a guest, with one of the greatest rock bands of all time, singing the songs that one of the greatest rock singers of all time brought to life.
“Freddie is irreplaceable. There’s no way to compare to him. It was always my hope that audiences would understand that I’m up there just excited to sing great music that everyone knows.
“And also to facilitate an opportunity for Brian and Roger, to keep being on stage and playing. Watching them delight in this connection with their fan base is really, really inspiring. This is what they were made to do; this is their legacy. And I’m just happy to be a part of it.”
Queen + Adam Lambert are currently playing a residency at the Park Theatre at Park MGM in Las Vegas throughout September.

Dolly Parton named MusiCares Person of the Year

OHMYGOSSIP — Dolly Parton has been named as the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year.
The 76-year-old music icon will be the first country music artist to receive the honour in the event’s 29-year history and she will receive the prestigious accolade at the annual gala next year.
The ‘9 to 5’ hitmaker is one of only six solo female artists to ever receive the honour and will be joining the likes of the late Aretha Franklin – who passed away last month – Sir Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel and Paul Simon.
Last year, Fleetwood Mac became the first band ever to receive the accolade and was joined in a performance by Miley Cyrus – who is suspected to make an appearance to support her godmother.
Revealing why Dolly had been chosen as next year’s recipient, Neil Portnow – the president and CEO of MusiCares and the Recording Academy – said: “Dolly Parton has always been and continues to be a courageous trailblazer and indomitable inspiration for creators and artists – so for us to have the opportunity to honor her at our annual MusiCares Person of the Year gala is to pay tribute to a true pillar of strength and someone who we all look up to and cherish.
“With her legendary talent, she has forged a career that spans decades, and her gifts as a performer resound on both stage and screen. Dolly also knows the power of philanthropy and she has used her stardom to contribute to a wide range of causes from natural disasters to education and literacy programs.”
Outside of her chart-topping music career, the ‘Jolene’ singer is an active philanthropist, and recently revealed her initiative to inspire children to read more books, by assisting with the YouTube Kids #ReadAlong campaign.
In 1995, Dolly launched her own book-gifting scheme that provides free books to children between birth and the age of five in communities in the US, the UK, Canada and Australia.
Established in 1989 by the Recording Academy, the goal of MusiCares is to offer services to members of the music community, including financial assistance for basic living expenses, medical expenses, and treatment for critical illnesses like HIV/AIDS and Parkinson’s disease.
Dolly will receive her award at the Los Angeles Convention Center on February 2, 2019, two days before the Grammys take place.

Kerry Katona wants family break

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Katona needs a “break” from her kids.
The former Atomic Kitten singer – who has Molly, 16, Lilly-Sue, 15, Heidi, 11, Max, 10, and four-year-old Dylan-Jorge from previous relationships – is very “proud” of the way she copes as a lone parent but admitted it can be difficult not having a lot of support close by.
She told Now magazine: “I’m really proud of myself.
“I live in a six-bedroom, three-storey house down south on my own where I have no childcare.
“I’ve started to make a network of new friends and they help me out with the children from time to time but there are moments when I sit in my bathroom and think, ‘I just want a break’.
“It’s bloody hard! I love my kids but they drive me crazy sometimes.”
Despite the relationship dramas she’s experienced in her life, Kerry no longer blames her former husbands – Brian McFadden and Mark Croft and estranged spouse George Kay – for any of her problems.
She said: “I’ve learned to let go of things.
“I could blame Brian for leaving me or Mark for making me bankrupt… and for so long I actually did, it was everyone’s fault but my own.
“Now I’ve learned to take responsibility. You can’t play the victim but you can be a survivor.”
The 37-year-old star – who has spoken candidly about her drug use in the past – thinks she is lucky to still have a youthful look and admitted she’s not keen on the idea of cosmetic surgery.
She said: “I’m blessed to have always had a baby face.
“Considering the amount of s**t I shoved up my nose 10 years ago, it could have gone either way.
“I mean, who doesn’t love a bit of Botox here and there? But you shouldn’t really mess with your face, it can be quite dangerous.”

Stacey Solomon is a ‘lazy’ lover

OHMYGOSSIP — Stacey Solomon has realised she is a “lazy” lover after watching sex scenes in TV dramas.
The 28-year-old star has been a viewer of new BBC dramas ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Wanderlust’, both of which have caused a commotion due to the graphic lovemaking scenes on display.
From seeing the fictional sex on display, Stacey has realised that she isn’t doing much work in the bedroom with her boyfriend Joe Swash.
During a panel discussion on ‘Loose Women’, she said: “If TV is anything to go by I am super-lazy, honestly! There are certain things where they make me feel like I’ve done a workout just watching it.”
Stacey also gave a tantalising glimpse into her bedroom antics with Joe, 36, admitting that when he does want to get more adventurous between the sheets the positions often leave her “sweating”.
She added: “There are some things that you do and you think, ‘I don’t think I can retain this position.’ My thighs are burning and I’m sweating.”
This is not the first time Stacey has opened up her sex life with Joe on the ITV daytime show.
But it seems things are more active in between the sheets than they used to be between the pair as in February 2018 Stacey compared their lovemaking to being like “a tumbleweed”.
Describing their lovemaking, she said: “It’d be like a tumbleweed … What makes me laugh is that ‘can we survive a marriage without sex?’ Why is there so much pressure on a marriage to be all that sexual?”
The star explained that often, life can get in the way – and she couldn’t be in a relationship with someone who needed that intimacy “all the time”.
She added: “It’s not even a joke, I’ve got two children… a full-time job, family to take care of. I don’t think I could be with someone who wanted to have sex all the time.”
Stacey and her beau both have children – she has sons Zach, 10, and Leighton, six, from two previous relationships, and Joe has 11-year-old son Harry with Emma Sophocleous.

Asked about his relationship with Pete, Evan – who has a three-year-old daughter called Jagger with Ashlee – told ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’: “Very good. He’s such an amazing father.
“I grew up in a family where I had a lot of different siblings from, you know. I grew up in a big family and I think it’s a beautiful thing.”
Evan has a positive relationship with Pete – who has Bronx, nine, and with Ashlee and Saint, four, and Marvel, three months, with girlfriend Meagan Camper – and so he won’t cross a line when it comes to his stepson.
He said: “I think that for me, my relationship with Pete has been amazing. He’s an amazing father.
“He knows that I love his son very much, but it’s his son.”

Janet Jackson didn’t feel sexy til her 30s

OHMYGOSSIP — Janet Jackson didn’t feel sexy until she was “well into” her 30s.
The ‘That’s The Way Love Goes’ hitmaker – who had her first marriage, to James DeBarge, annulled when she was 19 and went on to wed Rene Elizondo Jr. for nine years from 1991 and businessman Wissam Al Mana for five years until they split in April 2017, as well as having a seven-year relationship with Jermaine Dupri from 2002 to 2009 – admitted entering therapy helped her to feel better about herself and realise she wasn’t as “bad” as she thought.
Asked when she first felt sexy, she said: “I would say not until I was well into my 30s. I got out of a funky relationship and finally got back to me.
“I went to therapy, which was all about finding that thing you like about yourself.
“The realisation that, you know what, you’re not so bad after all. I’m not saying you’re great or you’re the best, but it’s not as bad as you were made to feel that it was.”
And Janet – who has son Eissa, 18 months, with Wissam – admitted her negative feelings stemmed from a bad relationship.
She explained: “Loving that someone and trusting that someone, you believe that person when they tell you [things]. You think they’re being as honest with you as you are with them. It was all to control the brain. That was around the time of (2001 album) ‘All for You’.”
The ‘Together Again’ singer found therapy helped her accept her body but she admitted she initially found it tough to find anything about her appearance that she liked.
She admitted to America’s InStyle magazine: “I had to find something in my body that I loved, and that was difficult for me to do.
“At first, I couldn’t find anything. I would look in the mirror and start crying. I didn’t like that I was not attractive. I didn’t like anything about me.
“But I wound up falling in love with the small of my back. And then from there I found more things.
“And then finally realising my smile isn’t that bad after all. I thought I looked like the Joker because it was so big.”
