Asia Argento to stop payments to her accuser

OHMYGOSSIP — Asia Argento will not pay the remaining $130,000 to her accuser Jimmy Bennett.
The 42-year-old actress reportedly agreed to pay Jimmy as much as $380,000 after he accused her of sexual battery during an alleged encounter in May 2013, but Asia’s attorney Mark Jay Heller has now confirmed she will cease making the payment.
He said in a statement obtained by E! News: “Asia will not permit any portion of the balance of the $380,000 payment to be paid to Bennett.”
According to Jimmy, they had sex in a California hotel room when he was 17 and she was 37.
However, the age of consent is 18 in the state of California.
Asia has strongly denied the allegations and claimed that her late boyfriend, the celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain, agreed to pay Jimmy the money he was requesting.
She previously explained: “Bennett knew my boyfriend, Anthony Bourdain, was a man of great perceived wealth and had his own reputation as a beloved public figure to protect.”
Jimmy is said to have received as much as $250,000 from Anthony, who took his own life in June this year.
Asia added: “Anthony personally undertook to help Bennett economically, upon the condition that we would no longer suffer any further intrusions in our life.”
Meanwhile, her attorney said the actress “does not intend to prosecute Bennett for his conduct” and claimed his client’s voice should become a part of the #MeToo movement.
Jimmy previously spoke about his allegations against Asia, explaining why he’d waited to make his accusations public.
He said: “I was underage when the event took place, and I tried to seek justice in a way that made sense to me at the time because I was not ready to deal with the ramifications of my story becoming public.”
Jimmy added that he felt “ashamed and afraid to be part of the public narrative”.

Mel B to prove sobriety for custody

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel B will reportedly have to submit to random drug testing as part of her custody agreement for her youngest daughter.
The ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge and her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte had a court hearing relating to the care of their seven-year-old daughter Madison on Tuesday (04.09.18) and the former couple were ordered to abstain from alcohol or drugs at least eight hours before spending time with the youngster.
A source explained to E! News: “The court ordered that neither party can consume drugs or alcohol at least eight hours before caring for Madison, and that they must choose a new custody evaluator by September 14 – both sides will submit names and the court will pick which evaluator to go with.
“After the court picks the evaluator then the evaluation will begin.
“The court today did not take custody away from Mel nor did they give Stephen what he wanted. Things could change in terms of custody down the line once the custody evaluation is complete, there has to be a custody evaluation in order for the court to make new custody orders.”
The insider also slammed claims that Mel – who also has daughters Phoenix, 19, and Angel, 11, from previous relationships – didn’t call Madison on her birthday at the weekend.
They said: “Melanie FaceTimed with Madison on her birthday and she also has a birthday party planned for Madison on Thursday this week. The court is not interfering with those birthday plans.”
The 43-year-old Spice Girls star claimed last month she planned to check into rehab following an “incredibly difficult” six months that had seen her diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) but she recently clarified she didn’t need help with alcohol or sex addiction.
She said: “I’ve been in therapy since my father got diagnosed with cancer nine years ago.
“My therapy changed a little bit because I was in a very intense relationship, which you can all read about in my book.
“I do address a lot of those issues. But you know, no, I’m not an alcoholic. No, I’m not a sex addict.
“You know, I was with the same person for 10 years and that was quite a turmoil, very intense. That’s all I can say about it.”

Ross Kemp hints at EastEnders return

OHMYGOSSIP — Ross Kemp would “never say never” about returning to ‘EastEnders’.
The 54-year-old actor made his Albert Square comeback in 2016 when Grant Mitchell headed back to Walford for a brief stint to coincide with his mother Peggy Mitchell’s (Dame Barbara Windsor) death, and Ross hasn’t ruled out another appearance in east London.
He said: “Never say never. But there are loads more issues I’d love to make documentaries about too.”
The ‘Extreme World’ presenter has kept in touch with Barbara since their ‘EastEnders’ days and admits she is “still the same Babs we know and love”, despite some changes following her diagnosis with Alzheimer’s disease.
He added to The Sun newspaper: “She’s as vibrant as ever but her short-term memory has gone. One minute she knows who I am then she asks, ‘Why are you here?’ The thing about dementia is that the polite filter is gone.
“It’s a bit like being a child again because you just say it how it is. Luckily, she says she still likes me, which is a relief.
“It’s horrible to deal with but she’s still the same Babs we know and love.”
Last year, Ross accused former ‘EastEnders’ boss Sean O’Connor of working the cast “into the ground”, and admitted there was a “very odd power balance” on the soap.
Ross said: “He reminded me of a sort of schoolteacher of a kind of third-rate public school.
“That’s not really what you want for the cast of ‘EastEnders’. You write it well, you cast it well and you do the right things – and you don’t abuse certain members, i.e. you don’t work them into the f****** ground, which is what happened.
“The cast are earning more than the executive producers, which makes it a very odd power balance, doesn’t it?”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lee Ryan has spoken out to defend “troubled” Roxanne Pallett.
The Blue singer urged ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ fans to stop “ripping her apart” now that the former ‘Emmerdale’ star has apologised and admitted she “got it wrong” when she accused her ‘CBB’ housemate Ryan Thomas of punching her.
And Lee – who caused a stir on series 13 of the reality show thanks to his love triangle with housemates Casey Batchelor and Jasmine Waltz – questioned whether the 35-year-old star had “over exaggerated” what had happened because she was suffering from “paranoid delusions.
In comments on Instagram, he added: “Not say what she did was right at all…but nor is kicking the s**t out of someone who is troubled and clearly needs professional help.”
And the 35-year-old singer warned fans there could be tragedy ahead if they continue to target Roxanne with cruel comments.
He posted: “It’s awful and I’ve had it done to me in a similar way. But it’s still no ok for people to go at her like this.
“What if she kills herself through the onslaught? Is that ok? It’s not, she’s not well.(sic)”
Following the outcry over her actions, Roxanne – who left the ‘CBB’ house voluntarily at the weekend – has quit her radio show on Minster FM and will be replaced in pantomime ‘Cinderella’.
A Minster FM statement read: “As a result of discussions today with her representatives, Minster FM can confirm that Roxanne Pallett has stepped down from her position at the station with immediate effect to take some time out and reflect on recent events.
“Roxanne will not be returning to Minster FM.”
The 35-year-old star has also quit upcoming panto ‘Cinderella’, in which she was due to play the lead role.

We wish Roxanne the best and will be announcing her replacement in due course. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — A new ‘Police Academy’ film is in the works.
Steve Guttenberg, who starred in the much-loved movie franchise, has revealed via his Twitter account that the series is being resurrected.
After one of his followers urged Steve to shoot another ‘Police Academy’ film in London, he wrote on the micro-blogging platform: “Adam , the next Police Academy is coming, no details yet, but it is in a gift bag being readied! (sic)”
The ‘Police Academy’ franchise currently spans seven films, starting in 1984 and ending with 1994’s ‘Police Academy: Mission to Moscow’.
Guttenberg starred as Officer Mahoney in a number of the movies, which spawned a cartoon series and even a line of toys.
Guttenberg previously claimed that the success of the franchise can be traced back to the director Hugh Wilson and producer Paul Maslansky.
Asked how he came to be cast in the film series, the actor explained: “My agent put me up for the part. I’d just gotten done doing ‘The Man Who Wasn’t There’, which was an invisible-man movie, and I went from there right into ‘Police Academy’.
“I got the part from doing a screen test, and that movie was terrific because of Hugh Wilson and Paul Maslansky, the director and producer, respectively. God, they were just brilliant, brilliant, brilliant comedy guys. Just out-of-this-world brilliant.”

Quentin Tarantino’s Star Trek plan is ‘bananas’

OHMYGOSSIP — Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Star Trek’ idea is “bananas”, according to Karl Urban.
The 46-year-old actor plays Doctor McCoy in J.J. Abrams’ rebooted movie series, and he’s teased details of the legendary director’s plans for his own ‘Star Trek’ film.
He shared: “Quentin Tarantino went in to [producer] J.J.’s offices and pitched him an idea for a ‘Star Trek’ movie. I know a little bit about what that is, and it’s bananas.”
Tarantino, 55, is currently busily working on his much-anticipated drama film ‘Once Upon a Time In Hollywood’, which will star the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie.
But Karl has admitted it would be a “dream come true” if he were given the opportunity to work with Tarantino.
He told TrekMovie: “He is currently making a film with Brad Pitt and and DiCaprio. So, it is going to be a year away from finishing that.
“So, it would be really rad to get to make a film with him. That would be a dream come true, he is definitely an auteur. Whether you like his films or not, he is a good filmmaker. And he makes interesting stuff. So, to me, that is when you get the best results.”
‘Once Upon a Time In Hollywood’ is schedule for release in July 2019.
Speaking previously about the project, Tarantino – whose past hits include ‘The Hateful Eight’ and ‘Django Unchained’ – shared: “It takes place during the 1969 Hollywood era at the height of the counterculture explosion, at the time of the hippie revolution.
“During the summer, little by little, block by block, we’ll be transforming Los Angeles in the psychedelic Hollywood of 1969.”

Prince Charles’ 70th birthday will be marked by ITV magic show

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Charles will celebrate his 70th birthday with a special TV magic show.
The extravaganza, entitled ‘We Are Most Amused and Amazed’, will be held at the London Palladium and broadcast on ITV, and feature some of the UK’s finest magicians to mark the milestone and pay tribute to the Prince of Wales’ love of the art form.
ITV said in a statement: “[It will be] a truly unique and unforgettable night where the world’s greatest comics join forces with the most accomplished of magicians to celebrate The Prince of Wales’s 70th birthday.”
Charles has been a member of the Magic Circle since 1975, and so it is fitting that his birthday – officially on November 18 – will be celebrated with such a show.
Although the line-up is yet to be confirmed, organisers have promised the show will feature top magicians, alongside “giants” of the comedy circuit.
Viewers can expect “a cast of comedy giants take to the stage, but will also showcase the best jaw-dropping illusions from the greatest magicians in the business”.
It’s thought that superstar magician Dynamo will be the star of the show, having received funding from The Prince’s Trust.
He previously said of the charity: “When I said I wanted to be a magician they didn’t laugh in my face as so many others had done, they gave me the help I needed.”
Charles was made a member of the Magic Circle 43 years ago, when he performed a “disappearing trick with cups and balls”.
The stunt earned him his membership at the secretive society’s headquarters, but Clarence House has refused to comment on whether he will have any tricks up his sleeve for the nation as part of the TV special.

Jermaine Pennant: Ryan Thomas has a CBB game plan

OHMYGOSSIP — Jermaine Pennant claims Ryan Thomas has a “game plan” in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
The ‘CBB’ evictee – who was booted out of the house on Monday (03.09.18) – believes the former ‘Coronation Street’ star “made it clear” to fellow housemates that he is playing a game on the Channel 5 show.
Jermaine said: “I think he [Ryan] has got a game plan, because he made that clear to us.
“Because we were saying, ‘Ryan, you’re not yourself,’ and he’d say, ‘Oh, you’ll see me when I get out.’ ”
The former Premier League footballer claims Ryan “acts up at the right times” on the programme.
Speaking on spin-off show ‘Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’ last night (04.09.18), Jermaine added: “He’s being reserved, he’s acting up at the right times.
“When he feels the camera is gonna be there he will act up, and when it’s not he’ll have a little snooze.”
Jermaine’s comments come just a day after he said he felt “like a mug” for believing Roxanne Pallett when she claimed Ryan had punched her, only for her to back-track when she left the ‘CBB’ house and call her accusations a “horrible mistake”.
After show host Emma Willis showed Jermaine footage of the incident during his exit interview, he said: “Is that it? That’s poor, I was expecting something big. I feel like a mug because I comforted her.
“I was like, ‘I’m not gonna speak to Ryan.’ That’s pathetic, what is she thinking?”
Ryan was left devastated after Roxanne’s claims, which led to him being officially warned over his behaviour by Big Brother.
However, the former ‘Emmerdale’ star has since apologised during a TV interview for making the claims.
She said: “I massively apologise, to not just to Ryan but his family friends and fans, everyone single person that watched that.”
Following her early ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ exit, Roxanne has stepped down from her job as co-host of radio station Minster FM’s breakfast show, and she has quit panto ‘Cinderella’.

Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic mocks fans calling for full reunion

OHMYGOSSIP — Krist Novoselic has mocked fans who slammed his Nirvana reunion with Dave Grohl and Pat Smear.
The iconic grunge icon’s bassist joined his former band mates on stage during Foo Fighters’ Seattle concert over the weekend and performed The Vaselines’ ‘Molly’s Lips’ – which the ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ rockers covered a number of times – but fans have claimed it wasn’t a full reunion.
After reading comments suggesting that it needed late front man Kurt Cobain – who took his own life in 1994 – Krist took to social media to sarcastically address the backlash.
He tweeted: “We tried to get a hold of him for this gig — as many times as we tried to contact Kurt, we couldn’t get through. The phone just kept ringing & ringing.
“Kurt does not have email. In fact I have never emailed him in my life and I have been online since 1993.”
Krist has reunited with his friends before, including joining Foo Fighters on stage in Eugene, Oregon last year to perform their track ‘Big Me’.
The surviving members of Nirvana have come together a number of other times over the year, including for their 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, where they were joined with a number of guest stars in Kurt’s place.
Meanwhile, Foo Fighters have had to postpone shows this week after Grohl lost his voice, and he joked it was because he made out with Bono.
the 49-year-old rocker has had vocal trouble like the U2 frontman – who had to end the Irish band’s show in Berlin, Germany, over the weekend after his voice failed whilst attempting to hit the notes on ‘Beautiful Day’.
Quipping on Twitter in a statement to fans announcing the reschedule shows, Dave wrote on the band’s Twitter: “FF RESCHEDULE 2 CANADA DATES DUE TO ILLNESS
“That’s the last time I ever make out with Bono”

Chloë Sevigny wants to pass down her clothes to her daughter

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloë Sevigny wants to have a child – so she has someone to hand her old clothes down to.
The 43-year-old actress admitted the amount of old wardrobe items she’s held on to is “a little embarrassing” but they all hold treasured memories for her, though she’s got no idea what to do with the garments in the future.
In an interview with her ‘Lizzie’ co-star Kristen Stewart for Who What Wear, she said: “I have pieces that I wore over and over again in high school. My collection is vast and exhaustive and a little embarrassing.”
“Just all the pieces that I hold and think about what was happening when I was wearing them. The sense memory of that.”
“I still have the shirt I wore in the movie ‘Kids’. I have the bunny ears I made for ‘Gummo’. I have all kinds of weird articles from different characters I’ve played, photo shoots, events, my Oscar dress.
“It’s embarrassing. I better have a daughter soon or I don’t know what’s gonna happen.”
The ‘American Horror Story’ star has her own quirky style and has admitted that her unique look and acting style made it difficult when building a career in Hollywood.
She said: “Everyone was like, ‘You have to be more approachable. Hollywood thinks you’re too weird. You’re never going to get any parts.’ Meanwhile I was like, ‘Johnny Depp gets to be weird!’ But it didn’t work for me.”
Although Chloe struggled at the beginning of her career, she now believes her unusual style has become more accepted by the industry.
She said: “Well now that’s acceptable, now ‘weird’ is a brand. But before, it wasn’t. Before, you were telling Hollywood you didn’t want to be a part of it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Buckland wants a “natural glam look” on her wedding day.
The 24-year-old reality star is set to marry her 28-year-old fiance, Alex Bowen – who she met on the ITV show ‘Love Island’ two years ago – in a few weeks time and is planning to pare down her signature style for the big day.
In an interview with Britain’s Glamour magazine, she said: “Although I do love the full glam look, I’ve started to come round to the idea that less is more. I want to look like me, so I feel like a natural glam look would be ideal.”
The blonde beauty has spent the last year during all she can to ensure her skin is in the best possible condition for her wedding.
She said: “It’s difficult because you feel like you should look a certain way when you get married, but for me, it’s all about my skin.
“Which is why I have had such a regimented routine over the past year or so as I really want it to look both glowy and radiant.”
Olivia’s pre-wedding skin care routine has included detoxing masks, brightening masks and chemical peels.
She said: “Each week, I’ll always have a pamper sesh and use a Skin Republic sheet mask, changing which one I use depending on how my skin is feeling at the time.
“My go-to when I’m feeling oily is the Charcoal Detox mask, or if I’m feeling like my skin’s looking a little tired and dull, I’ll go for the Vitamin C Brightening Mask.
“Since booking the wedding I have also been visiting the Dr Medispa Clinic every five months for a chemical peel treatment which makes such a difference to my complexion.
“I literally feel like a new woman afterwards!”

Duchess of Sussex’s glowing secret

OHMYGOSSIP — The Duchess of Sussex’s make-up artist uses a dry skin cream instead of highlighter.
The 37-year-old former ‘Suits’ star – who was known as Meghan Markle prior to marrying Prince Harry at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in May – is known for her glowing complexion and flawless face and Daniel Martin, who was behind her wedding day beauty look, has admitted he’s a fan of budget drug store product Aquaphor, a petrolium jelly-based cream.
Speaking to E! News Daniel explained: “A lot of my highlighting is done with skin-care.
“Before highlighters, you would do highlighting with Aquaphor.
“Aquaphor will give you that same texture, especially in a photo [when applied] on the high points of the face.”
Daniel previously revealed he uses a “selective placement of foundation” when he’s working with the duchess to help her natural freckles stand out.
He said: “People with freckles tend to have a really balanced palette.
“If they have any redness, it’s in the T-zone, around the nose, maybe some discoloration the eyes.
“It’s about evening out those specific areas to blend in with the rest of the face. I tend to use a blending brush and I’ll go in and buff out the undertone that I don’t want.”
The make-up artist admitted that after the fairytale royal wedding, Harry kept saying “thank you” to him for making Meghan look like herself.
He has also previously admitted he was initially unsure how to refer to his royal client after her marriage, but she was quick to reassure him that nothing had changed.
He said: “I asked her that. ‘Do I bow to you? I don’t want to disrespect you, but I’ve known you for almost 10 years. What’s up?’ She started laughing and she said, ‘I’m always going to be Meg.’
“But next time I see them I will be respectful and know my protocol. But Meg is always going to be Meg, that’s how it is!”

Sir Cliff Richard releases first calendar since he wins privacy case

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Cliff Richard has released his first calendar since he won his court case against the BBC.
The ‘Devil Woman’ singer was awarded £210,000 in damages in his privacy case against the broadcaster earlier this year after they aired a police raid on his home in Sunningdale, Berkshire, South East England, in August 2014, following false allegations of historic sex abuse.
But, although it’s been a “traumatic” time for him since the allegations surfaced in 2014, he’s decided to get himself back out there in the public eye and his latest release looks set to be a success.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It’s been a tough few years for Sir Cliff but he is back to his best and his latest calendar is expected to race to the top of the charts as his fans rally around him.”
The 77-year-old star previously revealed that shops had refused to sell his calendars and sent them back to him after the historic allegations surfaced four years ago.
He said: “They sent it [the calendars] back.
“All of this disruption caused me unbelievable hurt and pain. It felt like torture.”
However, after his fans rallied around him when he won the court case against the BBC, Cliff has put a lot of effort into his calendar to ensure his supporters “won’t be disappointed with this year’s A3 format official calendar featuring a collection of stunning images of this pop icon favourite”.
The 12 images were taken by calendar makers Danilo and show Cliff on stage strumming his guitar.
Meanwhile, Cliff doesn’t think he’ll ever “recover” from being accused of sex abuse.
The ‘Ocean Deep’ hitmaker – who was never arrested or charged – said: “It was a disastrous time emotionally, so traumatic I don’t think I slept more than two hours at a time for two years.
“It hurt me so much I don’t think I can ever recover personally. I’m living my life again and it’s all in my past – but when I think of what I tried to build up in my career, I know it’s been damaged in places I won’t ever go back to.”
And despite being cleared of the allegations, he knows there’ll always be people who doubt him.
He explained “Some people will always believe there’s no smoke without fire – to which I can only reply with something someone wrote to me: ‘Haven’t they heard of smoke machines?’ ”

The Osbournes won’t return

OHMYGOSSIP — Sharon Osbourne’s family reality TV show ‘The Osbournes’ hasn’t returned to screens because none of the networks can “afford” them.
The ‘Talk’ presenter has admitted she’s been approached numerous times since the series came to an end in 2005 by bosses of various channels wanting to reboot the programme, but nothing has come of it because their fee is too high.
Speaking on ‘The Howard Stern Show’, she said: “It keeps going back and forth, different networks will approach us and it never works out. They can’t afford us. They can’t afford us. It’s like why would we want to do it for f***ing peanuts?”
The show as meant to be revived in 2015 by VH1 but the project was later axed.
VH1 programming executive Susan Levison said at the time: “We are no longer talking to the Osbournes about a series; that’s not going to happen. We wish we could have worked it out, but it just didn’t come together for us.”
‘The Osbournes’, which followed the lives of Sharon, her husband Ozzy and their two younger children Kelly and Jack in Los Angeles, was initially launched by MTV in 2002, but the Black Sabbath rocker, 69, hated being on screen.
Jack, 32, said recently: “After ‘The Osbournes’, he just hated reality TV. He hated the experience, he hated the way he was portrayed.”
And he wasn’t the only member of the family to despise the format of the show as his eldest daughter Aimee refused to be part of the series and moved out of the family home at the age of just 16 because she didn’t want to be in the limelight.
Sharon, 65, said: “She just wants to be left alone. She doesn’t want any paps following her. While the kids were doing their thing and, you know, the big circus that was following us, Aimee was just living her life quietly.
“Do you remember the show, was it ‘The Munsters’ where they had the normal girl, Marilyn? And that’s Aimee.”

Kevin Spacey won’t be prosecuted for 1992 sex abuse claim

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Spacey will not face prosecution over an early 90s sexual assault claim.
The 59-year-old actor was recently accused of sex abuse by a man, who claimed the incident took place in West Hollywood in October 1992, but Los Angeles prosecutors said on Tuesday (04.09.18) that they could not take the case any further because too much time has passed since the alleged incident happened.
However, the investigation into Kevin’s behaviour is far from over as prosecutors are still reviewing allegations that he attacked a man in Malibu in 2016.
He’s also being investigated in the UK for six sexual assault claims over 22 years.
Kevin was first accused of sexual assault in the work place in November last year by Anthony Rapp – who claimed he made unwanted advances on him in 1986 when he was just 14 years – but he has denied he has any recollection of it.
Since then, more than 30 men have come forward with allegations against Kevin and the Met Police in London have recently revealed they are following up three new accusations.
According to the BBC, police received allegations between February and April this year which claimed the ‘American Beauty’ actor sexually assaulted men in both the English capital and Gloucester.
The publication reports that the most recent accusations are alleged to have occurred in the London boroughs of Westminster in 1996 and Lambeth in 2008, with the Gloucester allegation taking place in 2013.
The news comes after Los Angeles County prosecutors claimed in April they were reviewing a “sex crimes case” against the Oscar-winning actor.
No other details were revealed about the review, but it was claimed at the time that the information had been passed on to Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office’s Sex Crimes Task Force.
