OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Oaten loves the thrill of an audition.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ actress – who has also appeared in soaps like ‘Doctors’ – admitted while she gets nervous stepping up to earn a new role, she enjoys the opportunity to try something fresh.
Speaking to The Stage, she said: “I love auditions. The prep, the research and the chance to feed my brain with new scripts and plays is always a joy.
“I always go in without expectations. I aim to enjoy the experience and deliver my best. Preparation is key. I always say: ‘Just be you.’ Chat, be open, be warm and listen.”
The 34-year-old star has also turned her attention to the stage – including performances in ‘Somebody Call Me a Cabaret!’ – and she has offered her advice to hopeful performers wondering how to perfect the art of an audition.
She added: “I know it sounds obvious, but do the work before you get in the room. Make sure you are free and easy with the lines and open to direction. Be willing to play.
“Take every audition as an opportunity to learn and progress and not a desperate quest to get the job. Take that pressure off. But invest in the audition to the point where, whatever the outcome, you can hold your head high and know you gave it your best and take away a new experience.”
It was revealed last month that Gemma will be returning to ‘Holby City’ in autumn to reprise her role as nurse Sydney Somers for a third stint on the BBC One serial drama.
She said: “I love playing Sydney Somers and it’s always a joy to return.”
Gemma has hinted fans can expect plenty more drama between her character and Alex Walkinshaw’s director of nursing alter-ego Adrian ‘Fletch’ Fletcher later this year.
She is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: “As the viewers have seen before, she often causes quite a stir – especially with Fletch.
“Who knows what they’ll be like with each other this time round, especially when he sees her in a bridesmaid dress!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kieran Hayler has documented his daughter Bunny’s first school day on his Instagram account.
The 31-year-old estranged husband of TV personality Katie Price has given his followers a behind-the-scenes look at his four-year-old daughter’s first day at school, sharing an adorable picture of Bunny and son Jett, five, in their school uniforms.
He wrote: “Back to school!!!! So proud of my 2 gorgeous children, both brave and looking forward to their school year. Bunny’s first day and so proud of Jett being there to support her as she went into her classroom.
“Not going to lie I was close to tears as I am sure many parents will be as they send their little one in for the first day of school. (sic)”
Kieran previously posted a message on Instagram about spending his Monday evening labelling the school clothes of his children.
He said: “If your kids are back to school tomorrow enjoy your last evening and I am going to label the kids’ uniform – get in!”
Meanwhile, Katie has been holidaying in Majorca, Spain, with her new boyfriend Alex Adderson.
The British TV personality – who was previously dating personal trainer Kris Boyson for five months – and Alex, 25, recently made their relationship public and they have been staying in the luxury villa that he owns on the holiday island.
A source recently said: “Alex and Katie are now 100 per cent together and in a relationship.
“They are both smitten and he can’t believe his luck. He is head over heels.
“Alex is loaded and he’s been treating Katie to whatever she wants – he’s wining and dining her and they’re both having a great time.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ cast has a 60-person group chat.
Stars of the acclaimed new movie Ken Jeong and Awkwafina have admitted they are sometimes forced to mute their massive WhatsApp group because they’re always being sent messages at the most awkward times by their fellow cast members.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘This Morning’, Awkwafina said: “We’re all a family – we have everyone in that group. Yeah, we have everybody – we have like 60 people.”
Awkwafina explained that because the movie features cast members who live and work in different parts of the world, the group chat is always active.
As a result, there are times when she has to mute it in order to get some sleep.
She said: “There are four different time zones and it goes off at hours in the night, four in the morning and you’re getting like a link to an article.”
Ken added that the movie’s other stars have all done the same thing in a bid to get some sleep.
He admitted: “There are times all of us have muted it just to get some sleep.”
Meanwhile, Constance Wu – who also stars in ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ – recently confessed she never “thinks anything through”.
The actress has developed a reputation for being been outspoken on a number of issues concerning the Asian-American community and the film business in general.
Constance said: “I don’t think anything through. I am very impulsive and reactive. I have always been a person who is kind of outspoken, but nobody knew who I was before.
“Now I have this weird thing called fame, and I wasn’t looking for it, I didn’t ask for it, but if you have it, you might as well use it for something good. And the best thing I think I can do is help amplify the voices of people who don’t feel heard.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Meg Ryan is reportedly desperate to land a role in ‘Big Little Lies’.
The 56-year-old star wants to make a return to acting after not taking on many roles in the last couple of years and thinks that the HBO drama series, which boasts an all-star cast including the likes of Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley and Zoe Kravitz, about a group of housewives and mothers would be perfect for her as looks to put her rom-com past behind her.
Meg is hoping her friendship with 42-year-old Reese – who also acts as an executive producer on the programme – could lead to her getting a part in the future as shooting on Season 2 recently wrapped.
A source told Life & Style magazine: “Meg has known Reese Witherspoon for years and 
is a huge fan of her work. Meg loves everything that ‘Big Little Lies’ represents and is desperate to be a part of it … There’s a part of Meg that wants to venture out and do something darker. And ‘Big Little Lies’ is right up her alley!”
Meg is currently developing a number of TV projects herself but it is hopeful that if and when Season 3 gets commissioned she can it.
A new addition to the cast for the next series is Hollywood legend Meryl Streep who is playing Mary Louise Wright – the mother-in-law of Nicole’s character, Celeste Wright – in David E. Kelley’s show, which is based on Liane Moriarty’s 2014 novel of the same name.

OHMYGOSSIP — Viola Davis has called out the pay discrepancy in Hollywood between women of colour and white actresses.
The ‘Suicide Squad’ star has been watching with interest as the industry’s gender pay gap has been tackled by some of the industry’s leading ladies such as, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain and Ruth Wilson, and now she insists is the time for the disparity in earnings between actors of different ethnicity to be addressed.
Speaking to Variety, she said: “There are no percentages to show the difference. It’s vast. Hispanic women, Asian women, black women, we don’t get paid what Caucasian women get paid. We just don’t … We have the talent. It’s the opportunity that we’re lacking.”
Viola, 53, is adamant that the only way the problem can be resolved is if the people in positions of power at the top of the movie and TV industries become more diverse.
She added: “We’re not even invited to the table. I go to a lot of women’s events here in Hollywood, and they’re filled with female CEOs, producers and executives, but I’m one of maybe five or six people of colour in the room.
The ‘Fences’ star is also on a mission to change how women of colour are portrayed on screen, particularly black actresses who are consistently required to change their natural appearance, especially their hair.
And Viola was thrilled when director Steve McQueen asked her to embrace her natural Afro hair in their new movie ‘Widows’.
She said: “You’re always taught as a person of colour to not like your hair. The kinkier it is, the so-called nappier it is, the uglier it is. We’re into a zeitgeist where people are fighting for their space to be seen. People have to know that there are different types of women of colour. We’re not all Foxy Brown. We’re not all brown or light-skinned beauties with a big Afro. We have the girl next door. We have the older, dark-skinned, natural-haired woman.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Goss has got his sex drive back for the first time since his mother died four years ago.
The Bros star was left grief-stricken when his mum Carol lost her battle with breast cancer in 2014 but the 49-year-old singer has revealed that he finally feels as though his libido has returned and it has made him feel good.
Matt – who also repaired his rift with his twin brother Luke to reform Bros for a series of concerts – told Closer magazine: “I missed that basic feeling and the desire to have sex because, when my mum died, I felt I was looking at the world with a one-dimensional view and it didn’t look three-dimensional to me. For a long time, I was enveloped in this cloud of grief and it affected everything too. I am a cerebral human being but it is good to feel horny again! Having your mojo is one thing but it’s good to feel horny.”
The ‘I Owe You Nothing’ hitmaker is currently single but is actively dating and feels “very grateful” that he can have sex and enjoy it again.
He said: “It’s very difficult to meet the right girl but I’m a lot more relaxed about dating now. I want to have a bit of time to be naughty before I find love. Now I love sex for the first time in a really long time – but it has to be with a connection. I don’t sleep around but if I am lucky enough to have sex, then I am very grateful.”
Matt has a residency at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and he gets to meet lots of his devoted fans and he hasn’t ruled out having a relationship with someone who already loves him and his music.
He said: “I have always been very blessed when it comes to meeting ladies. When I am walking down the street, I get hugged and propositioned by fans. Sometimes it makes me feel a little bit horny.
“I don’t know who I will end up with and marry but if I met a fan that I loved, then I would marry them.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross are set to release their debut single ‘I Do’ on Friday (07.09.18).
The couple – who tied the knot in 2014 and have daughter Jagger, three, together – are set to make their debut as a musical pair later this week, when they premiere their first single on Ryan Seacrest’s iHeartRadio show, and later make it available for download on Friday.
‘I Do’ not only marks the first single from Ashlee and Evan as a couple, but it’s also the first new music from singer Ashlee, 33, in over a decade.
The pop ballad was written by Ashlee and 30-year-old Evan – who is the son of music icon Diana Ross – alongside legendary bassist Verdine White of Earth, Wind & Fire, Austin Brown, Brian London, and Palmer Reed.
Speaking in a press release, the couple said: “Music was always one of the things that connected us from the beginning. We liked our voices together, and as time went on, we thought it was something that we wanted to share. ‘I Do’ is our commitment to our music and each other.”
‘I Do’ will be featured during the first episode of the pair’s E! reality show ‘Ashlee + Evan’, which is set to take fans behind-the-scenes on their journey through love, making music and raising a family.
The show will premiere in the US on September 9, and air in 160 across the world.
Meanwhile, the couple recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary on social media.
Posting a picture of the pair as they headed out to dinner, Ashlee – who also has son Brox, nine, with former husband Pete Wentz – wrote on Twitter: “Happy anniversary my love!! You make everything so fun, and beautiful!! I’m thankful for the day you walked into my life. I love you with all my heart. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B suffered “post-partum complications” following the birth of her baby daughter Kulture.
The 25-year-old rapper gave birth to her daughter Kulture Kiari – whom she has with husband Offset – almost two months ago, and has now revealed she was left battling “unanticipated” complications after the pregnancy, which contributed to her decision to drop out of Bruno Mars’ upcoming tour.
Cardi’s confession came in documents obtained by The Blast from the rapper and her attorneys which ask for more time to hand over legal papers as part of an ongoing lawsuit where the rapper is being sued over an album cover.
Her attorneys state in the papers: “[Cardi] gave birth to a baby girl in mid-July, but has suffered unanticipated post-partum complications sufficiently serious enough to cause her, among other things, to have to cancel an upcoming and much-publicized tour, performing with Bruno Mars.
“Her condition also made it impracticable for her to fully participate, for some weeks, in completing factual investigation and complete the pending jurisdictional discovery.”
The ‘Bodack Yellow’ hitmaker is being sued by Kevin Michael Brophy Jr., who claims Cardi lifted an image of his back tattoo to use for the artwork of her album ‘Gangsta B***h Music Vol. 1′ without his permission.
Meanwhile, Cardi announced in late July that she wouldn’t be heading on the road in support of Bruno Mars on his ’24K Magic’ tour, because she didn’t feel physically ready following the birth of Kulture.
She said: “I’ve decided I won’t be joining Bruno on tour this Fall. I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically. I also thought that I’d be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing.
“Not only am I just not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it’s not healthy for her to be on the road. I hope you guys understand this decision has been the hardest to make but I have to do what’s best for myself and my baby! Thank you Bruno for being so sensitive and understanding.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Alba went “crazy” during her pregnancy.
The 37-year-old actress welcomed her son Hayes into the world eight months ago, and has said that changes in her blood sugar levels whilst she was pregnant caused her to “lose [her] mind a little bit” and “grunt like an animal”.
The ‘Sin City: A Dame To Kill For’ star – who also has Honor, 10, and Haven, seven, with her husband Cash Warren – said: “On a daily basis, when the blood sugar got low, I would go crazy.
“I didn’t mean to. I would just lose my mind a little bit. I would just break out into a sweat and I would get thirsty and I couldn’t find words.
“I would just grunt, like an animal. Good times. Good times, being pregnant.”
Jessica also revealed that just like all new parents, she had embarrassing moments and mishaps when her children were young, including one particularly gross incident with one of her daughters.
Speaking about her most embarrassing mom moment, she said: “I have made the mistake of not having diapers, and it’s always at the worst time. Probably walking out of a restaurant with a swaddle blanket around my kid because I didn’t have any more diapers and she pooped through three outfits and on me. Really fun.”
But the ‘Fantastic Four’ actress understands parenting isn’t always “easy”, and says she wants to teach her brood to put in “a great deal of effort” in order to achieve their dreams.
She told People magazine: “Things aren’t gonna always come easy in life and anything that’s worth having, you have to work for. I wasn’t naturally really good at anything, so it always took a great deal of effort to accomplish anything for me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sharon Osbourne is “very sad” about her son Jack Osbourne’s divorce from Lisa Stelly.
The 32-year-old star and his former flame finalised their divorce last month after three months of arguing over their assets following their separation, and now Jack’s mother Sharon, 65, has said she’s upset the pair couldn’t work out their differences, as she’s always been a fan of Lisa.
Speaking on Howard Stern’s ‘The Stern Show’ on Tuesday (04.09.18) morning, Sharon said: “I’m sad. I’m very very sad. She’s a good girl. And the thing is it just didn’t work. They love each other [but] they can’t live with each other.”
Lisa, 32, filed for divorce from the former ‘Osbournes’ star – with whom she has Pearl, six, Andy, three, and six-month-old Minnie – in May this year just weeks after the pair had split, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
They couple wrote in a joint statement at the time: “Hello! So the news about us separating has probably come as a bit of a shock to everyone. But, we just want to clear the air and share with you what’s going on.
“So, first and foremost, we absolutely still love each other.
“Our family is the most important thing in our lives, and we tried everything we could for many years to make this work.
“What’s best for our family right now is that we separate lovingly, and remain best friends who are committed to raising our children together.
“We had seven beautiful years of being a couple, filled with the most amazing moments and we will be eternally grateful to one another for that. We also have three wonderful children who we cherish more than anything.
“We are disappointed but feel confident that we will continue to grow our relationship as co-parents and best friends. Lots of love, Jack and Lisa. (sic)”
It was reported in August that they had settled the terms of their divorce, with Jack agreeing to pay Lisa a “sizeable cash payout” as well as cough up “significant child support” every month and cover school fees and medical costs.

OHMYGOSSIP — Rose McGowan feels “sick to her stomach” following the allegations of sexual assault against her friend Asia Argento.
The 44-year-old actress got to know Asia last year after the pair both came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein.
But following allegations made by former child actor Jimmy Bennett that Asia sexually assaulted him in a hotel room when he was 17, Rose has said she feels “betrayed” by the 42-year-old actress.
When asked if she feels “betrayed” by Asia during an interview on ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Tuesday (04.09.18), the former ‘Charmed’ star said: “It doesn’t really matter, my feelings in the face of Jimmy Bennett’s feelings are very insignificant. Personally, it’s been a hard year with a lot of betrayals. These last four years has been betrayals from every side, but this really isn’t about me.
“It is a horrible situation, I fundamentally do not understand people that are attracted to young people, of any sexual orientation … But there will be due process. And my heart’s racing, it makes me sick to my stomach, it hurts me deeply. But I believe the good part of it is that we’re realising boys get hurt too.”
The claims made against Asia were first reported by The New York Times, which claimed that in the months following her allegations against Weinstein, she reached a financial settlement with Jimmy Bennett, who played her son in 2004’s ‘The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things’.
Jimmy, now 22, claimed that in 2013, Asia sexually assaulted him in a California hotel room two months after he turned 17.
The New York Times reported that Jimmy’s attorney Gordon K. Sattro had told them that Jimmy’s “feelings about that day were brought to the forefront recently when Ms. Argento took the spotlight as one of the many victims of Harvey Weinstein.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Felicity Jones feels “proud” of herself for her career achievements.
The 34-year-old actress has starred in flicks including ‘The Theory of Everything’ and ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’, as well as earning herself nominations from the Golden Globes and BAFTAs, and has said she feels “fantastic” to be “in [her] stride” when it comes to her career.
When asked by Vanity Fair magazine how she feels about turning 35 next month, Felicity said: “It’s fantastic to feel like you’re in your stride and in your profession, and to be able to enjoy it. You’ve had so long trying to get there, and the next challenge is to then take pride in it, own up to it. To accept that it’s OK to feel proud of yourself.”
Life is good for the ‘A Monster Calls’ actress – who won the BAFTA for British Artist of the year in 2016 – outside of her career too, as in July it was reported she had tied the knot with British director Charles Guard.
The couple are said to have become husband and wife in a secret ceremony at Sudeley Castle in the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire, in front of guests including A-list pals Eddie Redmayne – who Felicity starred with in ‘The Theory of Everything’ – and Tom Hanks.
Felicity and Charles, 45, have kept their romance very private in the time they have been together, but the actress did once open up about relationships and romance.
She said previously: “I am definitely romantic and I love romantic stories – that’s why I keep making romantic movies.
“It’s funny how seeing a love story never gets boring because it’s the dream isn’t it? It’s the dream to have a true connection with another human being.”
Felicity’s marriage to Charles comes after she split from her last partner, sculptor Ed Fornieles, in 2013 after a decade of dating.

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Lovato is reportedly selling the home in which she suffered her apparent overdose in July.
The 26-year-old singer was rushed to hospital after being found unconscious in her Hollywood Hills home in late July following a suspected drug overdose, and it has now been reported the star – who is currently in rehab – is looking to get rid of the house she was found in.

According to TMZ, the ‘Sober’ hitmaker has listed the home in California for just under $9.5 million, two years after she first bought the property for $8.3 million in September 2016.
The home features four bedrooms and five bathrooms, and comes on a 5,546 square foot lot.
TMZ reports that the home has been problematic for Demi ever since she bought it, as in January 2017 – just months after she moved in – the property was in danger of sliding down the mountain side after the ground beneath it was compromised by storms.
In July that year, the LA Department of Building and Safety determined that the issue with the hillside had been corrected, and the building was perfectly safe once again.
The decision to sell the property comes after it was reported Demi’s alleged drug dealer Brandon Johnson will not be investigated by police over the incident, because overdoses are treated as a “medical emergency”.
Brandon had previously claimed the ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ singer “knew the risks” of taking drugs at the time, and “100 per cent knew what she was taking”.
He said: “She texted me at 4am because she’s a girl and she wanted to kick it. We hung out.
“She has long hours and stressful days so she wanted to unwind. 100 per cent she knew what she was taking. They’re after market pills and they’re much stronger. She [Demi] understood fully and it’s unfortunate what happened.
“It’s a wake-up call for her and it opens my eyes to the dangers. They’re fun, but they can be harmful. I’d hate to hurt anybody. I hope she’s OK. But for anyone to think there was any misconception on my behalf is absolutely ridiculous. I’m not here to hurt anybody. I care for her very much, she means a lot to me. It’s just something that happened. It’s unfortunate.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez has been silently supporting anti-human trafficking charity A21 for the past six months.
The 26-year-old singer has revealed she has been volunteering for the non profit organisation – which aims to bring an end to human trafficking and slavery – since March, but remained silent about her work because she didn’t want people to think she was doing it for attention.
Speaking to Elle magazine, the ‘Bad Liar’ hitmaker said: “I wasn’t going to immediately start discussing it. It’s out of my comfort zone. I needed to be fully immersed in it.
“[It’s not about] ‘What a great thing another celebrity is doing’ … That’s not why I want to talk about it. I can’t be silent about this.”
Following the interview being published on Tuesday (04.09.18), Selena took to Instagram to urge her fans to find out more information about A21 on their website.
She wrote: “Alright. Speaking from my heart for over an hour to someone who puts those thoughts into paid words can be hard for me. The older I get the more I want my voice to be mine. OHMYGOSSIP — Coleen Nolan won’t be appearing on ‘Loose Women’ this week, following her on-air spat with Kim Woodburn.
The 53-year-old presenter was due to appear on the ITV talk show on Thursday (06.09.19), but it has now been revealed that she has cleared her schedule in order to “spend time with her family”, after being left “very upset” by comments made by her former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ co-star last week.
On Twitter, the official Coleen Nolan account wrote: “Just to let everyone know – Coleen won’t be on @loosewomen on Thursday she’s decided to go home & spend time with her family instead-she didnt expect to cry on @thismorning And she’s still very upset about everything thats happened &thanks you for your kind messages & support x (sic)”
Coleen and Kim had been at loggerheads ever since they starred on the Channel 5 reality show last year, and fans had tuned into the show last week hoping to see the pair reconcile, but were left shocked when 76-year-old Kim brand Coleen “lying trash” and a “piece of filth” before storming off the set after a heated row.
The former member of the Nolan Sisters received harsh backlash after the incident from critics who had sided with Kim, and some of them even told her they hope she “dies like [her] sister” Bernie Nolan, who passed away from breast cancer aged 52 in 2013.
And Coleen said she almost quit the talk show all together, but has settled for a break instead.
Bursting into tears on ‘This Morning’ while referring to her spat with Kim, she said: “I don’t know what I did wrong? I didn’t say anything. I said about two things. She needs help. I feel terribly sorry for her.
“I’ve never called her names. She’s called me every name under the sun. But to be called a bully … and then to have messages going, ‘Why can’t you die like your sister?’ ‘Can’t you get cancer like your sister?’
“In 50 years of doing a job I really love … there’s a campaign to get me fired. They sent me revolting things to the point where I phoned my management and said to my kids, ‘I can’t.’
“I cancelled everything last week after it. I just said, ‘I can’t do it, I don’t want to do it anymore.’ ”

The 46-year-old actress has children Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine, and Samuel, six, with her former husband Ben Affleck, and whilst they’re currently all too young to be spending time on social media websites, she’s nervous to let them become exposed to the “pressure” websites like Facebook and Twitter have on young children.
She said: “My kids don’t have any social media yet, and I am terrified. I think it puts so, so much pressure on kids at an age when they’re really vulnerable anyway.”
The ‘Peppermint’ actress admits she’s “overprotective” when it comes to her brood, but wants to make sure they’re properly prepared for the dangers of life online.
She added during an interview with Fox News which was published on Tuesday (04.09.18): “You know, if anyone has any clues, let me know. I am probably overprotective.”
Jennifer has been vocal about her love for her children in the past, and said last month her brood “define” her whilst she was accepting her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
She said: “All of you here are the most special people in the world to me. Violet, Sera and Sam. Hi, buddy! And my parents and my sisters, my nieces and my nephews.
“For my children, when you walk over this star I want you to remember, first of all, that I love you. And that this is about hard work and good luck and not a whole lot else. You define me, not this wonderful spot on the pavement.
“Also, for the record, don’t spend too much time on Hollywood Boulevard.”
