Adam Thomas slams Roxanne Palette interview

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Thomas has branded Jeremy Vine’s interview with Roxanne Pallett “pathetic”.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actor hit out at the Channel 5 presenter and accused him of being “scared” of asking the actress any tough questions when she appeared on his self-titled show on Monday (02.09.18) and admitted she had “overreacted” and “made a mistake” when she accused Adam’s brother Ryan Thomas of punching her during a playful exchange in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
Adam tweeted: “Jeremy vine to scared to speak up too pc pathetic interview !! … to everyone that knows her and knows the real her and the lies and the stories she has spun for several years it is so frustrating to watch … good scene tho Rox annnddd cut!! (sic)”
And Adam wasn’t the only person annoyed by the interview.
Roxanne’s former ‘Emmerdale’ co-stars Charley Webb and Sammy Winward were both unimpressed by her apology.
Charley tweeted: “What about all the other accusations you’ve made along the years? Backtracking because no ones on your side. If those cameras hadn’t have been there, he would be finished. End of. #Roxanne
“Play fighting with Ben=fine, play fighting with Ryan=not fine. Bore off (sic)”
And Sammy posted: “Lies lies lies.
“Unfortunately the million other incidents will never be apologised for(sic)”
Former ‘X Factor’ contestant Rhydian Roberts, who is scheduled to appear in panto with Roxanne later this year, also seemed to take a swipe at his upcoming co-star.
He tweeted: “Down and to the left.. #lies #jeremyvineon5 (sic)”
Former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ contestant James Jordan branded the 35-year-old actress a “compulsive liar”.
He tweeted: “Just caught up with the Roxanne interview on the Jeremy Vine show
“She said ‘I got it wrong’ Basically that means… she didn’t get away with it
“She’s a compulsive liar and done this SEVERAL times before. Makes a mockery of #METOO and all those people affected.(sic)”
And ‘The Only Way Is Essex’s Mario Falcone blasted her for talking “rubbish” on the show and described her as a “horrible human”.
He tweeted: “Everything Roxanne is saying is complete and utter rubbish! ‘People invading my personal space’.. you were fighting with Ben etc.. you are a horrible human.. All PR! You are nothing but an arsehole.. shouldn’t be on TV (sic)”
During her interview, Roxanne admitted she had realised she had “got it wrong” with her accusation against the ‘Coronation Street’ actor.
She said: “At the time it hurt but when I looked back at the clip as soon as I left the house, it was the first thing I did and I got it wrong, I really got it wrong…
“I agree fully with every single person who was outraged.”

Lucy Mecklenburgh wants Celebrity Big Brother to remove Ryan Thomas warning

OHMYGOSSIP — Lucy Mecklenburgh wants ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ to revoke Ryan Thomas’ warning.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actor was accused of physical assault by Roxanne Pallett in the rose, and the former ‘Emmerdale’ star has since admitted she mistook something playful for something more.
Speaking on the ‘Victoria Derbyshire Show’ on Monday (03.09.18), Lucy said: “I want Big Brother to revoke his warning and make an apology. I think when they give warnings in the past it is for serious things and he didn’t do anything.
“That’s why there are so many Ofcom complaints, everyone can see with their eyes that nothing happened.”
She insisted that bosses for the Channel 5 show have handled the situation badly by not letting Ryan see the footage or know that it reveals he did nothing wrong.
She added: “It’s been hard to watch, for Ryan’s family and friends. We all know the truth, and nothing happened, but for him to go through it thinking everyone on the outside may be thinking he’s a woman beater… it’s been hard.
“His mum and brothers are in bits, and his daughter hasn’t seen it but we don’t want people saying things [to her]. If there wasn’t a camera it would have been very damaging, but I think it has had the reverse effect and everyone is supporting him.”
Roxanne quit the show over the weekend after accusing her housemate of punching her during a play fight but she’s now admitted her accusations were wrong and she understands the backlash against her.
She said: “At the time it hurt but when I looked back at the clip as soon as I left the house, it was the first thing I did and I got it wrong, I really got it wrong…
“I agree fully with every single person who was outraged.”
And the brunette beauty offered a “massive” apology to Ryan and his family and friends for her “overreaction”.
Speaking on ‘Jeremy Vine’, she said: “I massively apologise, not just to Ryan but his family, friends, fans, every single person that watched that and justifiably saw an overreaction to what wasn’t a malicious act. ”

Lily Aldridge is the face of Levi’s Made Crafted range

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily Aldridge is the new face of Levi’s Made Crafted fall/winter 2018 collection.
The Victoria’s Secret Angel has been chosen to work with the American clothing company, which is renowned for its denim jeans, on the new range, which includes a half cable knit and half denim trucker jacket, a pleated skirt and new 501 skinny jeans.
Lily is thrilled to be working with the brand because she has always been a Levi’s girl.
In an interview with the collection’s design director Nicolle Arbour for YouTube, she said: “Made and Crafted is cool because it’s still very much Levi’s; that classic, cool style but a little more fashion-forward, a little more elevated. I’m very much a jeans-and-tee girl but it’s fun to have those daring pieces that can live in your closet forever and elevate your look or add a little something special.”
During the chat with Nicolle, Lily also revealed that when she was given a personal tour of the Levi’s archives she was delighted to discover a piece of art her father, British artist and illustrator Alan Aldridge, created for the company in the 1970s.
She said: “You guys found a piece of my dad’s art from the 70s that he did for a Levi’s ad. I had no idea, I was grateful to you guys to have this special moment. It was something I’ll never forget.”
Lily began her professional relationship with the brand in 2006 when she starred in the ‘Walk The Line’ commercial with Jamie Dorman – and the iconic advert helped Lily to make a name for herself on the fashion scene and also was the catalyst to her meeting her husband, Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill, in 2011.
The catwalk star – who shares six-year-old Dixie with the rocker – said: “It was the first kind of thing I experienced where people would recognise me, like, ‘You’re the girl from the Levi’s commercial.’
“My husband actually recognised me at Coachella, he was like, ‘That’s the girl from the Levi’s commercial.’ ”

Jameela Jamil was sexually assaulted when she was 22

OHMYGOSSIP — Jameela Jamil was date raped when she was 22.
The ‘Good Place’ actress admitted she didn’t feel comfortable telling the unnamed man to “stop” his assault on her because she’d gone home with him, even though she didn’t know him “well enough”, but the experience taught her a lot about issues around consent.
In an interview with The Times, she said: “I believe that was due to going home with someone I didn’t know well enough.
“I couldn’t predict what their behaviour was going to be like behind closed doors and I didn’t have the words, or feel I had the right, to stop what was happening.
“That shed a lot of light on the subject of consent and the dangers of going home with people when you don’t know about their past, their mental health, history or their triggers.”
The 32-year-old presenter admitted her experience – and “freeze reaction” being taken as consent – has made her more careful about the situations she puts herself in.
She said: “After I was attacked I took comfort in knowing that I would never again do that, knowing that I had made some errors of judgment.
“It didn’t make me feel like I was victim shaming myself, I felt empowered that there were things I could do to make that much less likely to happen again.
“I’ve been more careful since, I’ve really got to know the people I put myself behind closed doors with, and that’s meant I’ve felt very safe and had lots of very nice experiences.”
Jameela wants her upcoming Radio 4 programme, ‘The New Age of Consent’, to encourage young people to listen to their instincts, and be careful not to put themselves in dangerous situations.
She said: “Be very careful, learn to follow their instincts and not to drink or take drugs to the point where they can’t hear those instincts anymore.”

Denise Welch dubs Roxanne Pallett ‘manipulative and vindictive’

OHMYGOSSIP — Denise Welch has dubbed Roxanne Pallett “manipulative and vindictive”.
In wake of the recent ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ controversy – where Roxanne branded Ryan Thomas a “woman beater” when he playfully punched her – the ‘Loose Women’ presenter has called the incident the “most horrific” thing she’s seen on television.
Although the ‘Emmerdale’ actress has since apologised for her comments on the Jeremy Vine show Monday morning (03.09.18), the 60-year-old star has stated there is nothing Roxanne could do to redeem herself.
Speaking on the ITV show, she said: “She’s apologised because she was caught out, is what I feel – I feel very strongly on so many levels, as you’ve said I’ve been quite open about it on social media.
“I haven’t seen the Jeremy Vine interview – but to be perfectly honest there is nothing she could say to convince me it wasn’t the most horrific thing I’ve ever seen – pretty much on television, on that show.”
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress revealed that she is friends with cobbles star Ryan and has met Roxanne in the past, and can relate to their experiences in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house after her own stint on the reality show in 2012.
She added: “The fact is only place in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ there is no camera in the toilet; there is a microphone but no camera.
“If for example, Roxanne and Ryan had been going in for a sneaky gossip about something, and she had accused him when there was no camera’s in that area – not only Ryan’s career but Ryan’s life would be in complete tatters.
“She basically set out to ruin Ryan, she was manipulative, vindictive and I hope we don’t see the likes of her again because she has done a massive disservice to real victims of domestic violence.”

Coleen Nolan confirms first ever solo tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Coleen Nolan has announced her first ever solo tour.
The 53-year-old singer returned to the O2 Apollo in Manchester, UK on Monday (03.09.18) to confirm the exciting news, and it came almost a decade after she reunited with sisters Anne, Bernie, Coleen, Linda and Maureen for a comeback run on the road.
Revealing her big plans, Coleen told her fellow ‘Loose Women’ panellists: “Well, it’s 10 years since I was last at the Apollo and I’m back to announce that for the first time ever, I’m about to embark on my first ever solo tour.”
The run will kick off at the iconic Manchester venue on January 11, and come to an end on February 28 at the Winder Gardens in Blackpool.
Opening up on the ITV daytime show, the star admitted she is “so nervous” about stepping out on stage for the solo shows.
However, she explained: “Obviously I’ll have a live band, a couple of backing singer, so yeah obviously there will be people on stage with me.
“But it’s still so new to me – but I want to make it as good a night as it was in 2009 with the Nolans reunion. It will be songs that everyone knows, hopefully up dancing on their feet – just a positive night out.”
Her life has changed a lot since she was last on stage in 2009, after splitting from husband Ray Fensome, and the death of her sister Bernie five years ago.
Speaking to the Mirror, she said: “My whole life has changed in so many ways since that tour, because I dont have Bernie and I don’t have Ray.
“I’m starting a new chapter in my life as a single woman. If Bernie was alive, it wouldn’t have ever crossed my mind to do it on my own. We would probably do another Nolans tour.
“But to do it again would have felt weird without Bernie, it would’ve made me really sad. She was The Nolans for me. Bernie was the singer, really.”

Neighbours wedding will feature Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan hit

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Neighours’ has revealed Kylie Minogue and Jason Donova will soundtrack Aaron Brennan and David Tanaka’s wedding.
The Australian soap is set to celebrate the country’s first on-screen gay wedding since it legalised same-sex marriages, and it will break the fourth wall for the occasion.
It has been announced that Aaron and David – played by Matt Wilson and Takaya Honda respectively – will mark their big day with ‘Especially For You’.
The track was performed by Kylie and Jason, who both acted in the soap as on-screen couple Charlene and Scott Robinson, and went on to collaborate together after the singer left the show in 1987 to focus on her solo career.
Meanwhile, Matt recently admitted he still couldn’t get his head around the enormity of acting out the soap’s first legal gay wedding.
He told Digital Spy: “It still doesn’t feel real. A lot of the time you get so consumed with the work in front of you, you don’t realise the bigger picture or meaning of what we’re actually doing.
“This is the biggest moment in my career so far, that’s for sure.”
The 30-year-old star also spoke out to calm any worries from viewers concerned it could have a dramatic or upsetting twist, as many soap weddings have the past.
Instead, Matt explained it will be a “beautiful” episode.
He added: “Unlike previous weddings in global soap opera history, there aren’t any ‘huge’ surprises that may spoil the day. It’s a beautiful, well rounded episode that will have you shedding a tear of joy.”
‘Neighbours’ will air David and Aaron’s wedding today (03.09.18) at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Charlie Lawson returned to Corrie for the ‘buck’

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlie Lawson has admitted he’s returned to ‘Coronation Street’ for the money.
The 58-year-old star – who first appeared on the cobbles in 1989 – will return as Jim McDonald after last being seen back in 2014, and he revealed how his motivations as an actor have changed over the years.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ on Monday (03.09.18), he told hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: “It’s very easy [slipping back into the role] – and of course it took 10 seconds for [Beverley Callard (Liz McDonald)] and I to just slot back into it.
“Actors will tell you a lot of things about how it’s terribly hard, but it’s not really – especially when you’ve been doing it for the length of time I have. So it’s very easy, and it becomes a very nice job, but it becomes just a job.
“I’m the same as you Phillip, I like fine wine, I like fine food. And so stuff like this, I work now for the buck and that enables me to enjoy life.”
Jim will be back on our screens on September 7 when he makes a surprise appearance at his son Steve McDonald’s (Simon Gregson) stag do, but his boy bolts from the Rovers Return, angry at the no-nonsense Irishman for turning up.
However, Steve is not the only person enraged upon setting eyes on Jim as Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) lunges at him, determined to get back at Jim after he poisoned him with bad booze while they were in prison together.
Charlie added he’s currently staying with ‘Men Behaving Badly’ actor Neil Morrissey, and very candidly explained how their time as actors performing for “the art” are in the past.
Opening up, he admitted: “I’m staying with my best buddy Neil Morrissey… and we’ve been doing it so long that the days of the art are gone now. We do it because we love it and we’re good at it, but it’s all for a reason.”

Barry Keoghan says acting is therapeutic to him

OHMYGOSSIP — Barry Keoghan says becoming an actor has been very “therapeutic” for him.
The 25-year-old Irish actor achieved notoriety playing Martin Lang in Yorgos Lanthimos’ 2017 psychological horror ‘The Killing of a Sacred Deer’, an American teenager exacting a grisly revenge on a surgeon, played by Colin Farrell, and he followed that performance up with a role in Christopher Nolan’s 2017’s World War II drama ‘Dunkirk’.
Although Barry first wanted to break into acting to have fun and earn some money the art form soon took on a deeper meaning for him.
Speaking in an interview with The Guardian newspaper, he said: “I was looking for something. I was looking to mess around, to joke. And get paid! But on a deeper level, it was very therapeutic for me. I could be someone else. I think you get to release a few of your problems there through being another person.”
Barry endured a tough upbringing and journey to the big screen as his mother died of a heroin overdose at the age of 31 and he and his brother Eric were moved between 13 different foster care homes over
a five-year period until their grandmother took them in.
The rising star admits it was not easy to get over the grief of losing a parent but it led to he and his brother forming an unbreakable bond.
He explained: “Foster care was a big part of my life. My mother dying of drugs is not easy for any kid. Anyone dying is not easy, but certainly not a mother. Me and my brother, we stuck together. The foster families were good to me and then my nanny took me in.
“It really did shape me into who I am. That’s why I say I’m happy [to talk about it], I’m proud of it. And as I’ve said before I’m very proud of my mother.”
It was Barry’s brother Eric who encouraged him to follow his dream of becoming an actor and that gave him the confidence to go for it.
He said: “Eric never took the p**s out of me. Because where I’m from, to do acting is not heard of. Being one of the lads and all, you don’t just go, ‘Oh, I want to be an actor.’ They’d laugh and joke about it. Not in a mean way, but like taking the p**s. But once you get the seal of approval from your brother, you just know.”
Explaining how his love of cinema was fostered, he added: “I’d mitch (bunk) off school and go to this place to watch all of these films. I’d watch Paul Newman and all these greats and I was like, ‘Who are these?’ I was learning my craft by watching these old movies. I was getting educated and I didn’t even know it.”

Die Hard 6 to be called McClane

OHMYGOSSIP — The title of the new ‘Die Hard’ film will be ‘McClane’.
The sixth movie in the action franchise, which has followed Bruce Willis as wisecracking police detective John McClane, was originally rumoured to be called ‘Die Hard: Year One’, however, the movie’s cleaner title has been chosen to represent the importance of Bruce’s character in the series.
The film which follows a 60-year-old McClane and a younger incarnation of himself in his 20s, comes after the original 1988 film ‘Die Hard’, 1990’s ‘Die Hard 2’, 1995’s ‘Die Hard With a Vengeance’, 2007’s ‘Live Free or Die Hard’ and 2013’s ‘A Good Day to Die Hard’.
Speaking to Empire magazine about the significance of the title, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura said: “You can tell our intention by the fact that the title page we handed in says, ‘McCLANE’. We want you to get invested in John McClane more than ever before. I don’t know how you do ‘Die Hard’ without Bruce. The idea that he’s not very significant in this movie is not accurate at all. We are gonna explore John McClane in his 20s. But just as prominent is the 60-year-old version.”
Casting is underway to find a younger McClane and director Len Wiseman admits it is “crucial” to get the right man for the job.
Wiseman previously said: “The right casting for this role is crucial.
“Those bare feet have some very big shoes to fill.”
In the last film, McClane and his son Jack (Jai Courtney) had to complete a mission which took them into the heart of a Russian organised crime gang.
Although Willis, 63, always enjoys stepping into the shoes of McClane, he admits every entry in the franchise has been trying to match the excellence of the first film.
He said: “I’m really pleased to continue to be asked back to do other versions and other incarnations of ‘Die Hard’.
“The first one really is [the best] … That’s all there is. Everything else is just trying to be as good as that film.”

Taylor Swift wants fans to be kind

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift has urged her fans to be “kind” to themselves.
The ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker told supporters at her gig in Minneapolis on Saturday (01.09.18) not to worry about the “stress and pressure” of keeping up appearances of a perfect life and reminded them that everyone has problems, even if they don’t show their struggles to the world.
She said: “One thing I have noticed in my life is you can never judge what somebody else is going through, even if they seem like they have it all together, they seem like, how can they ever have any problems?
“Somebody is maybe really beautiful or seems like they have it all together. Maybe they have a life that you’re really envious of.
“But I’ve learned that appearances aren’t everything.Just because somebody looks happy doesn’t mean they are. Just because somebody looks healthy doesn’t mean they are.
“There’s so much pressure on everyone these days to have it all together, to have a perfect body, a perfect life, to know exactly where they want to go with their life.
“I think the stress and the pressure of not being able to say that they’re hurting have really taken a toll on a lot of people.
“So I’m just asking you, just try to be kind to yourself. Just know that there are so many people that are going through the exact same thing that you might be going through, whatever it is.”
The show was Taylor’s second in the city on her ‘Reputation’ tour, and the 28-year-old star was stunned when the state of Minnesota proclaimed Friday (31.08.18) Taylor Swift Day.
She told the audience at her first gig: “Something that that makes somebody feel welcome in a state is when that state proclaims it ‘Taylor Swift Day’ in the state of Minnesota. That is a real thing that happened today. I was scrolling through Instagram and I said, ‘Whaaaaatttt? Is that real?
“I’m not quite sure what that means for me, if I get any extra privileges in the state of Minnesota, but the main thing I want to do on Taylor Swift Day in Minnesota is play for this beautiful crowd.”

Jennifer Lopez misses Alex Rodriguez after a day apart

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez can’t bear being apart from Alex Rodriguez.
The 49-year-old singer-and-actress has only been separated from her boyfriend – who is in Houston, Texas, for his work as a sports commentator – for a day but she already misses him.
She shared a photo of the former baseball star on her Instagram account and, along with kissing and heart emojis, wrote: “One day apart and already missing this one… @arod (sic)”
Meanwhile, 43-year-old Alex – who has Natasha, 13, and Ella, 10, with his former wife Cynthia Scurtis – recently admitted he thinks his relationship with the ‘World of Dance’ judge works so well because they’ve shared similar experiences throughout their lives.
He said: “We’re in our forties. We’re both from New York. We both come from Latino backgrounds. We both have two kids. I think we’ve both been through a lot and can really appreciate each other – both the good and the challenges.”
And Alex even admitted he doesn’t believe their relationship would have worked if they had met in their 20s.
He said: “To be honest, if this happened when we were in our twenties, it would have never happened. It was just too much craziness. I wasn’t mature enough. You know, boys, we got to get our dumbness out of the way.”
Alex’s comments echo similar ones made by Jennifer – who has 10-year-old twins Max and Emme with her former husband Marc Anthony – a few days earlier, when she said timing was everything when it came to falling in love with her beau.
She said: “We were both at a good place in our lives. And I think, maybe if we had met in our twenties, it wouldn’t … you know, maybe not so much. We’re too crazy. But now, at this point in our lives, where we both have kids and we both accomplished certain things in our careers and we’re kind of in that second act of our lives, we really complement each other.”

Tom Daley wants more children

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Daley wants a big family.
The 24-year-old British diver and his husband, Dustin Lance Black, welcomed their first son Robert into the world via a surrogate in June, and now Tom has revealed the pair would like to expand their brood at some point in the future.
Speaking during his cooking segment of ‘This Morning’, Tom said: “We’ve always said that we’ve wanted a big family so you know eventually I think – who knows.”
Though his little boy is only a few months old, the Olympian admitted the “angelic” tot is already very “well behaved”.
He added: “The baby is ten weeks old…but he’s the most amazing little angelic thing and we feel very lucky to have him be as well behaved as he is.
“Little Robbie Ray, he’s sleeping well at the moment anyway, he’s doing really well he’s giving us like seven hours sleep which most parents like hate me saying.”
Tom has previously spoken about how becoming a father changed his life, and he admits he felt a wave of love like he never experienced before when the tot arrived.
He said: “I know everybody says, like, having a kid is their greatest achievement and I don’t think anyone can understand what it feels like to hold your child for the very first time until you actually do it and it was amazing. Your perspective changes massively.”
Talking about why he and Dustin found a surrogate in the screenwriter’s home country, he added: “The process [of surrogacy] works.
“We were out in the States, and we were actually doing a documentary about the process of surrogacy because here in the UK, the surrogacy laws aren’t quite up-to-date and in turn – it doesn’t really protect the surrogate or the intended parents so we actually did it over in the States. ”

Iggy Azalea has been growing into a ‘responsible adult’

OHMYGOSSIP — Iggy Azalea has spent her twenties trying to “become a responsible adult”.
The 28-year-old star has been musing about how she has spent the past decade growing as a woman and whilst she has been striving to become a person she can be proud of many of her friends have gone in different directions with their lives.
Iggy – who made a bold decision to move the US from Australia as a teenager to pursue a music career – posted on Twitter: “I swear you spend your entire 20’s trying to become a responsible adult with their life together just for you to turn around and see everyone else either already had kids, moved to the north pole, is a complete f***ing mess or all three. Iggy – who recently split from NFL player DeAndre Hopkins – tweeted: “Anyone else got a friend that’s constantly giving you advice you never asked for; only to turn around and be completely passive agressive when you genuinely give them some. I have to laugh. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Danniella Westbrook is battling a mystery health condition.
