Kylie Minogue ‘surprised’ she found love again

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue was “surprised” to find love again.
The 50-year-old star has admitted she didn’t think she would ever embark on a new relationship, following her heartbreaking split from her ex-fiance Joshua Sasse last year, but things are “going great” with new beau Paul Solomons.
Appearing on ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’, the ‘Love At First Sight’ hitmaker spilled: “It’s going great, it’s fabulous. Just when you think that ‘will it ever happen?’… it came and surprised me.”
The couple made their red carpet debut at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in September.
The pair walked hand-in-hand as Kylie told reporters: “I’ve found my man. Of the year. And some.”
The relationship has been going from strength-to-strength, as the couple, who became Instagram official in July, moved in together in August.
The Australian pop star – who was first rumoured to be romancing the hunk back in April – is letting her man share her West London pad.
A source said: “It’s a big step but they’re going from strength to strength. Kylie has finally found happiness.”
Taking to her Instagram account in July, the ‘Especially For You’ hitmaker uploaded a photograph of her and Paul sharing a smooch in New York City.
She captioned the post: “I love New York!”
The ‘Golden’ singer even changed her mind on marriage after admitting earlier this year that she’d never walk down the aisle following her difficult break up.
She said: “I’m so happy to be back on terra firma in that sense.
“So yeah, life’s, I won’t say a little bit, I’ll say a lot, better. Life’s great. Take that as you wish. Like, I might [get married one day], I might not. I did say, ‘Maybe it’s not for me.’ But the other half is maybe. I don’t know.
“It wasn’t in that last scenario [with Joshua]. But who knows? I don’t know.
“The thing I’ve said for years and years, even when I was probably doing press at 21 years old, is that I think I’ll have a family — I don’t know if I’ll ever get married, though. It’s weird. I’ve done neither.”
‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ airs Saturday (10.11.18) at 9.15pm on ITV.

Linda Robson and Janet Street-Porter’s Hollyoaks cameo revealed

OHMYGOSSIP — Linda Robson and Janet Street-Porter will make their ‘Hollyoaks’ cameos at Russ Owen and Mercedes McQueen’s wedding.
Stuart Manning – who plays the groom – has confirmed the ‘Loose Women’ panellists will make an appearance at the nuptials, which will air later this month as part of a one-hour special.
Speaking about his alter-ego’s big day, he said: “A typical, over-the-top McQueen wedding, with all the bells and whistles!
“With a few special guests in the form of ‘Loose Women’.”
While Stuart admits the pair’s wedding day needs to go off well, it doesn’t look likely after he slept with her cousin Goldie McQueen (Chelsee Healey), and Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) clearly still has feelings for Sylver McQueen (David Tag).
He added: “Everything and anything could stand in the way of a Russ Owen and Mercedes McQueen wedding!
“I think it’s so important that everything goes off without a hitch, because they are trying to prove to everyone that they are the perfect couple, but clearly, they are not!
“Mercedes has always been Russ’ first true love. Mercedes can’t help herself, and doesn’t seem to be happy with anyone.
“Russ likes Goldie very much. What happened between them was huge mistake, and he cares for her like a sister.”
Further details about Russ and Mercedes’ wedding comes after Janet and Linda revealed they are to make a cameo at a special ‘Oaks’ nuptials.
Linda said: “We were wedding guests at ‘Hollyoaks’. It was very explosive. I can’t reveal anything else.”
Janet added: “We do make an impact. We’re featured.”
‘Birds of a Feather’ actress Linda joked Janet had been acting like a diva on the set by refusing to wear various accessories.
She said: “She was going all through the handbags going, ‘Is that designer? No, I’m not using that, I’m not wearing that.’ ”

James McVey ‘signs up for I’m A Celebrity’

OHMYGOSSIP — James McVey is said to have signed up for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The Vamps star, who is dating 23-year-old model Kirstie Brittain, is set to appear on Australian jungle-based show, and show bosses are thought to be hoping he can wow fans with topless shower scenes.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: “James is certain to cause excitement with his topless shower scenes and even though he has a girlfriend, producers are still hoping for a jungle romance.”
James will need to jet Down Under soon as ITV recently confirmed the programme will return Sunday November 18.
The 24-year-old star may not be the only campmate with singing talents as former ‘X Factor’ winner Shayne Ward has also been linked to this year’s series.
Other names in the frame are thought to be ‘Coronation Street’ actress Sair Khan, ‘The Chase’ star Anne Hegerty, and football manager Harry Redknapp.
Shayne’s former ‘Coronation Street’ co-star Catherine Tyldesley, and ‘Loose Women’ panellist Coleen Nolan had also been talked about for the jungle, but both have ruled themselves out in recent days.
A message on Coleen’s official Twitter account read: “Hello tweeties – we can confirm that our Coleen is definitely NOT going into the #imacelebrity jungle this year …. she’s looking forward to watching it from the safety of her sofa tho #DontBelieveTheRumours (sic)”
While Catherine insisted she would be too “terrified” to appear on the programme.
She wrote on Twitter: “Just to shoot down the rumours… I’m NOT going in the jungle guys. I mean come on?! I’d be TERRIFIED and pretty terrible at those challenges!! Hats off to all those brave enough! (sic)”
This year’s series is hosted by Declan Donnelly and Holly Willoughby, who is taking over from Ant McPartlin after he took the rest of the year off from work following a stint in rehab and a drink-driving conviction earlier this year.

Only Fools stars Tessa Peake-Jones and Gwyneth Strong to reunite on TV

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Only Fools and Horses’ stars Tessa Peake-Jones and Gwyneth Strong are to reunite on TV for the first time in 15 years.
The pair – who played Raquel Turner and Cassandra Trotter in the long running BBC sitcom – will appear on ‘Loose Women’ together next week as part of the programme’s special “retro week” after previously starring alongside one another in final ‘Only Fools’ episode ‘Sleepless in Peckham’, which aired on Christmas Day 2013.
A source said: “It will be a must-watch for Only Fools fans.”
As well as the ‘Only Fools’ pair, ‘One Foot in the Grave’ legends Richard Wilson and Annette Crosbie – who played bickering couple Victor and Margaret Meldrew in the BBC sitcom – will also reunite on ‘Loose Women’ as part of the week’s special eps.
Editor Sally Shelford told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Each show will be filled with nostalgia.”
Tessa played the significant other of Derek ‘Del Boy’ Trotter – portrayed by Sir David Jason – in ‘Only Fools’, while Gwyneth starred as Rodney Trotter’s (Nicholas Lyndhurst) wife.
But the quartet look unlikely to ever reunite together as the sitcom’s characters for a new episode, with both David and Nicholas ruling out a reunion following the death of creator John Sullivan, who died aged 64 in 2011.
Nicholas previously said: “We can’t do ‘Fools and Horses’ again as the writers are not there. It will never happen. It ended on a high.”
David added: “When we did ‘Fools and Horses’ we just had a writer who just wrote and that was his craft and he handed it onto us. We were very fortunate that we were doing a TV show that was written by such a talented man. Now everybody wants instant success, an instant winner and you can’t have an instant winner.”
John Challis – who recently appeared on ‘Loose Women’ – and Sue Holderness also appeared in ‘Only Fools’ as couple Boycie and Marlene.

Emily Blunt wants more Mary Poppins

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Blunt “would pay” to make another ‘Mary Poppins’ movie.
The 35-year-old actress portrays the magical nanny – who was originally played by Dame Julie Andrews in 1964 – in the upcoming ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ and has hinted there’s the possibility for her to take on the iconic role again in the future.
She told US Vogue magazine: “Oh, I would pay Rob [Marshall, director] to do it again with me. Yeah, I would. Definitely. More stories left to tell.”
And though Rob is currently focused on getting his movie into cinemas, he admitted there is a “lot of material” from P. L. Travers original book series that could be used in the future.
He said: “I do know that there’s a lot of material there and it’s very rich with all kinds of adventures and ideas. It’s certainly ripe for the picking.”
The 35-year-old actress – who has daughters Hazel, four, and Violet, two, with husband John Krasinski – praised her character as a “superhero”.
She said: “She’s a superhero. You could say she’s some sort of angel. She recognises what people need, and she gives it to them. Yet they discover something about themselves in the process.
“I don’t think she concerns herself with what she is. There’s nobody else like her – which she quite likes.”
The 58-year-old filmmaker didn’t have anyone else in consideration for the role of Mary and if Emily had turned the role down, he’d have aborted the project.
The actress recalled: “Rob basically said, ‘If you don’t want to do this with us, we are going to find something else, because we won’t do it if you don’t want to.’ ”
Rob added: “For me, there was no one else but Emily.
“There wasn’t even a possible other choice.
“She’s rare in this world because she’s incredibly warm and funny, and has a great deal of vulnerability as well. And at the same time, she’s British and can sing and dance.”

Glenn Close to receive Palm Springs Film Festival Icon Award

OHMYGOSSIP — Glenn Close will be honoured with the Icon Award at the Palm Springs Film Festival.
The 71-year-old Hollywood legend will receive the accolade in celebration of her glittering career, spanning more than four decades, at the annual Awards Gala at the Palm Springs Convention Center on January 3.
The festival’s chairman, Harold Matzner, commented: “Glenn Close is a rare and enduring talent who has consistently brought challenging characters to life on film, television and stage for over four decades.
“In her latest feature film, ‘The Wife,’ she gives a tour-de-force performance as the perfect spouse, who relinquishes her own ambitions to propel her husband’s career. It is our honour to present the 2019 Icon Award to Glenn Close.”
Glenn – who has six Oscar nominations, three Emmys and two Golden Globes to her name – follows in the footsteps of the likes of Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Michael Douglas in receiving the honour.
In 2011, Glenn was handed the Career Achievement Award at the ceremony for her performance in ‘Albert Nobbs’.
The actress is a stronger contender to pick up an Oscar for her outstanding performance as doting spouse Joan Castle in ‘The Wife’.
The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star recently opened up about role and how she felt it was “extraordinary” that the movie was largely created by women.
She said: “It was new territory for me. It was new kind of emotional psychological territory and I’m always kind of intrigued by that and I thought it was a really beautifully written script.
“It’s extraordinary because Jane wrote the script over 14 years ago but the thing I’m very proud of for this movie we have a female editor a female costumer, many female producers, female composer, a beautiful score it’s incredible how things work out sometimes.”

Drake promises new album in 2019

OHMYGOSSIP — Drake will release a new album in 2019.
The ‘God’s Plan’ hitmaker only dropped ‘Scorpion’ in June, but teased fans that he plans to head straight back into the studio after he has a “little break”, following his joint ‘Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour’ with the trap trio, which wraps up on November 18 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The 32-year-old rapper told the crowd at his show at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Canada, on Wednesday night (07.11.18): “Okay, six shows left. I guess, you know, I guess – I’m gonna tell you what I’m going to do. Because I keep having nights like this that remind me why I love my job so much, I promise you that as soon as this tour is over and maybe I take a little break, I’m gonna get right to work on a new album so we can be back right here in Edmonton and have a new party.”
The ‘Nice For What’ hitmaker has completed his contract with Cash Money Records, as he revealed on the song ‘Is There More’: “Soon as the album drop, I’m out of the deal.”
Meanwhile, Drake recently admitted fatherhood has taught him about “patience” and “unconditional love”.
The ‘In My Feelings’ hitmaker gushed over his baby Adonis – who he has with French artist Sophie Brussaux – and how he feels so lucky to be able to experience fatherhood.
He said: “[He has] crazy blue eyes – baby blue eyes. He’s already in the pool shooting the basketball. I’m just excited. All of the things I’ve learned from and through my father and the incredible things I’ve learned through my mother about patience, about unconditional love.”
Drake confirmed he had been “hiding the world” from his “kid” on ‘Scorpion’.
In ‘Emotionless’, which samples Mariah Carey, he revealed: “I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world/I was hiding the world from my kid / Breakin’ news in my life I don’t run to the blogs / The only ones I wanna tell are the ones I can call.”
And in ‘March 14’, he pays homage to Michael Jackson’s track ‘Billie Jean’, describing his relationship with Sophie, while referencing his mother, Sandi Graham.
He raps: “She’s not my lover like Billie Jean but the kid is mine / Sandi used to tell me all it takes it one time, and all it took was one time /
“S**t, we only met two times, two times / I used to challenge my parents on every album / Now I’m embarrassed to tell them I ended up as a co-parent / Always promised the family unit / I wanted it to be different because I’ve been through it.”

Hollyoaks plot boosts eating disorder helpline calls

OHMYGOSSIP — A ‘Hollyoaks’ storyline has led to a surge in calls for an eating disorder helpline.
According to the BBC, the Channel 4 soap had a “significant impact” in boosting calls to Beat for the month of October, when the helpline were contacted by more people than in any other month, after featuring Cleo McQueen’s (Nadine Mulkerrin) ongoing battle with bulimia.
Praise Lawal-Okeowo, 18 – who is recovering from bulimia – told the network: “The story of Cleo is probably one of the most accurate portrayals of bulimia I’ve seen.
“Her eating disorder wasn’t at all glamourised, which is what the media often tends to do. Her lips were crusted, her hair was frail.
“With Cleo’s storyline, I think ‘Hollyoaks’ have covered every single aspect of bulimia and it could help people now suffering and know how to seek help.”
Chloe Marsden, 21, was diagnosed with anorexia aged 14, and she has also praised the Channel 4 soap’s portrayal of the eating disorder plot.
She added: “I really related to [‘Hollyoaks’]. Everything that she did was what a person with an eating disorder does. It was like looking through my own eyes.”
Their comments come just a month after Rebecca Field, Beat’s head of communication, praised the soap for the storyline.
She said: “On average it takes nearly three years for someone to realise they have an eating disorder and visit a GP.
“That is why shows like ‘Hollyoaks’ can make a difference by raising awareness about these serious mental illnesses so people know to get help, and we are delighted to have been working with the show.”
A recent episode saw Cleo recall details of her perfect wedding day to her psychiatrist Farrah, only for Farrah to interrupt her and it soon became clear that Cleo had been telling lies.
As she sat in a hospital bed, she admitted the true sequence of events, which saw her cover up bruises with make-up, use whitener to cover her rotting teeth, and run upstairs to make herself sick after eating a bacon butty.
Her wedding dress also didn’t fit because she lost so much weight, and she felt sick and sweaty while walking down the aisle.

Gigi Hadid felt honoured to share Victoria’s Secret runway with sister Bella

OHMYGOSSIP — Gigi Hadid admitted it was an “honour” to walk the Victoria’s Secret runway with her sister Bella.
The 23-year-old beauty and her 22-year-old sibling both walked in the lingerie brand’s annual fashion show in New York City on Thursday (08.11.18) for the first time and found it “insane” but also “emotional” to take such a high profile job together.
Gigi – who wore a pink floral top, leggings, and boots teamed with a billowing matching parachute instead of wings for one of her runway looks – said: “It’s honestly insane. Being able to look across of the room like this and see your family is a blessing.
“Not just at the VS show, but all over the world, I feel like I get have a piece of home with me. It’s also great to be the first sisters in the VS show, and you know, that’s really an honour for us. Yeah, it’s crazy, but that’s really fun for us and it’s emotional.”
But Gigi – who also walked in a tartan underwear ensemble – admitted all the models in the show have become like “sisters” to her.
Speaking backstage, she told E! News: “All of the girls are like sisters to me, and sisters to us, and that’s what’s really fun about it.
“I think other girls see us and they maybe wish they had a sister, but me and Bella always are taking new sisters on a daily basis.”
Gigi tried out for the show three times and was turned away so every year she is chosen, it feels like an “honour”.
She said: “That first show was something I’ll never forget, and every year, it’s still such an honour to chosen again.
“It’s interesting because I’ve been pretty open with my experience with Hashimoto’s Disease, my thyroid problem.
“This is the first year that my thyroid is really balanced, so that’s really nice for my body.”

Spice Girls ‘never asked’ Victoria Beckham to join

OHMYGOSSIP — The Spice Girls “never asked” Victoria Beckham to join their reunion.
Geri Horner, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton announced earlier this week to announce they were getting back together for a UK stadium tour and they’ve admitted they didn’t invite the fashion designer to be part of their plans because they “assumed” she’d be unavailable.
Mel C admitted: “Do you know what is actually quite funny? I saw Victoria recently and obviously we’ve all been in contact.
“She is still very much a part of the Spice Girls, she really supports us and we really support her.
“But she did raise the point that she was never actually asked. We just presumed.”
Geri admitted they all “knew” Victoria wouldn’t want to be involved because she’s “moved on” and is very busy with her fashion empire.
Speaking to talk show host Jonathan Ross, she said: “I spoke to her two days ago, before the announcement and she has said it for years that she just doesn’t want to do it anymore, so we knew that.
“She just didn’t want to do it… She was busy with her fashion and she has moved on. The philosophy of us lot is that we are a band, on and off the stage and we care each other, we support each other and we support her and she has been a huge part of our lives and we care about her so it’s all good.”
And the ‘Wannabe’ group admitted they knew Victoria wouldn’t have enjoyed the tour because she doesn’t like performing anymore.
Geri said: “No [she didn’t] and you don’t want to make somebody do something they don’t want to do.”
Emma added: “We realised that a while back that she didn’t enjoy that so much.”
However, the ‘Stop’ hitmakers still won’t rule out hope that Victoria will join them for at least one show on the tour.
Mel B said: “I’m always hopeful. I love the Spice Girls, they are my girls and I would love nothing better than all five of us to be together so I always put it out there but I’m happy with four too.”
The full interview with the group will air on ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ on ITV on Saturday (10.11.18) night.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan ‘won’t spoil’ their child

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, “won’t spoil” their child.
The royal couple – who married in May this year – are set to welcome their first child in Spring next year, but despite the unborn tot’s royal status, Harry and Meghan are determined to make sure their baby values “normal things in life”, like chores and hard work.
Royal contributor Omid Scobie told Us Weekly magazine: “[Meghan wants to] bring up children who know the values of normal things in life. Meghan will take her kids on a subway. They’ll have chores, and jobs one day. They won’t be spoiled.”
Omid’s claims come after an insider previously stated that Harry, 34, and Meghan – who was known as Meghan Markle before tying the knot with the flame-haired prince – would be aiming to give their child as normal a life as possible, despite the inevitable interest of the public.
The source said: “That word ‘normal’ looms very large for Harry and Meghan when it comes to their child’s future.”
Meanwhile, although the couple are yet to find out whether they’ll be welcoming a boy or a girl into the world next year, they confirmed they’ve already been given lots of food for thought when it comes to choosing a suitable moniker for the tot.
During their recent visit to Australia, school student Charlie Wolf, 12, asked the pair if they have decided on a name yet, to which Meghan replied: “We’ve been given a long list of names from everyone, we’re going to sit down and have a look at them.”
Another pupil added: “She said that she hadn’t thought of one as it was still quite early.”
Harry and the former ‘Suits’ star, 37, announced the happy news of Meghan’s pregnancy in a statement that read: “Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the spring of 2019. Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”

Letitia Wright: Faith saved me from depression

OHMYGOSSIP — Letitia Wright says her faith rescued her from “a bout of crippling depression” in 2015.
The 25-year-old actress has admitted that “putting so much pressure” on herself to score big roles at the start of her acting career led her to a “very dark place” with her mental health.
She said: “I was putting so much pressure on myself. You get comfortable with the idea of thinking, ‘Maybe it’s OK to leave.’ [I was in] a very dark place.”
When her depression reached a head in 2015, the ‘Black Panther’ star headed to Bible study to reconnect with her faith, and says immersing herself in Christianity managed to ease her battle with the mental illness.
Letitia turned down a film with Nicole Kidman to focus on her rehabilitative journey that same year, and says she was determined to do something “more chilled” with her time.
She added: “I wrapped it up and was done with it, happy to do anything that was more chilled. But that’s not the way God had it with me.”
Once the beauty had come out of her depression in 2016, she hit the ground running with film roles and even believes her faith helped land her the role of Shuri in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
And whilst Letitia has been flooded with job offers, she says she “prides herself” on making sure she only takes on roles she thinks she’s “right” for, rather than attaching her name to everything that comes her way.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter magazine, she said: “I pride myself on keeping it the same as when I came into acting, to not just change the lane and take everything, just because it may have a big name or a big budget. Am I right for this part? Is this what I should be playing? If something feels off in my spirit, I know that’s God’s way of saying, ‘You shouldn’t do that.'”

Octavia Spencer wants to date Brad Pitt

OHMYGOSSIP — Octavia Spencer wants Ellen Degeneres to “hook her up” with Brad Pitt.
The 46-year-old actress has joked she’s keen to start romancing the ‘Fight Club’ star – who split from his estranged wife Angelina Jolie in 2016 after two years of marriage – and says she wants her close pal and TV show host Ellen to bridge the gap and set them up.
Speaking as she appeared on Ellen’s eponymously titled talk show, the ‘Hidden Figures’ star teased: “Did Brad Pitt say something about me? Is that what this is about? Because I saw him Sunday and I squeezed him, is that what this is about? Well, you can hook me up with Brad.
“But we’re just friends, Brad and I. Brad Pitt.”
Octavia’s comments come after she recently said wants to have children, and although she’s frozen her eggs, she thinks they’re “expiring on the shelf” and won’t last much longer, so she is pursuing other means of having children in order to fulfil her motherhood dream.
She said: “I had always seen myself as a parent of three. Since we haven’t found Mr. Right, my eggs are … they’re expiring on the shelf, so. Those days are dwindling. But there are other avenues, there are other ways to have children now. So I’m not saying I’m never going to be a parent, but I probably won’t be the biological mother.”
