OHMYGOSSIP — Boy George says Culture Club’s first video in 20 years is trying to “turn protesting on its head”.
The British band have unveiled the inspiring new promo for their single ‘Let Somebody Love You’ – the first track from the band’s highly anticipated new album ‘LIFE’, their first studio release in 20 years – and the 57-year-old singer wants his fans to understand that positive thought is the new anger when it comes to society.
Speaking in video from behind the scenes of the video shoot, he said: “Well the video is a celebration of protesting but it’s like turning protesting on its head. Rather than protesting and complaining, we’re gonna be angry but in a productive way so the idea for the video for ‘Let Somebody Love You’ is to say why don’t you actually talk about things you love than talk about things you hate. Go and hold up a banner that says something really positive, tweet that talk about music that excites you don’t talk about things you don’t like cos you kind of give it oxygen.”
The director of the video, Howard Greenhalgh, reveals that Boy George was the brains behind the promo – and that working with the band was like hanging out with “mates down the pub”.
He said: “The idea for this came from a phone call with George and he got talking about speaker’s corner so it’s quite simple we said let’s do speakers corner like you’ve never seen speakers corner. That’s it that’s just the arc of it form George arriving there setting up his little talking point, like a magnet he draws everybody in and then even stuff that we never planned is happening. These guys are great it’s just like your mates down the pub you feel like you’ve known them for ages and George and the boys they’re talking to all the people and I think that that’s really created a great vibe so it certainly makes my job a hell of a lot easier.”
Culture Club’s album ‘LIFE’ is released on October 26.

OHMYGOSSIP — Coleen Nolan is taking an “immediate hiatus” from ‘Loose Women’.
The 53-year-old presenter has had a difficult week after having an on-air spat with her former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ co-star Kim Woodburn – with whom she has a long running feud – and later receiving harsh criticism from trolls online who told her they hope she “dies like [her] sister” Bernie Nolan, who passed away from breast cancer aged 52 in 2013.
And after dropping out of her scheduled appearances on the ITV talk show this week, her team have revealed she won’t be coming back to the programme for some time as she’s taken an “immediate hiatus”.
In a statement released on Twitter, they said: “Following the constant online bullying, trolling, and misrepresentation of her words, actions and re-actions, it is with sad regret that Coleen is taking an immediate hiatus from all her current commitments including Loose Women and postponing her Never Too Late solo concert tour.
“Coleen has spent 50 years in show-business and 18 years as one of the most loved members of the Loose Women panel, and has never been subjected to such a horrifying torrent of online abuse or such a heart-breaking attack on her reputation.
“Coleen is devastated to let her supporters and fans down, but is currently not strong enough to withstand this constant and unfounded online abuse, so she will be taking time out and spending it with her children and family where she feels loved and respected.
“She sends her love to everyone who has supported her and knows who she really is and plans to return when she feels stronger.”
Coleen and Kim had been at loggerheads ever since they starred on the Channel 5 reality show last year, and fans had tuned into ‘Loose Women’ last week hoping to see the pair reconcile, but were left shocked when 76-year-old Kim brand Coleen “lying trash” and a “piece of filth” before storming off the set after a heated row.
When some critics then took Kim’s side and blasted Coleen on social media, she reduced to tears, and said she considered walking away from her showbiz career entirely.
She said earlier this week: “I don’t know what I did wrong? I didn’t say anything. I said about two things. She needs help. I feel terribly sorry for her.
“I’ve never called her names. She’s called me every name under the sun. But to be called a bully … and then to have messages going, ‘Why can’t you die like your sister?’ ‘Can’t you get cancer like your sister?’
“In 50 years of doing a job I really love … there’s a campaign to get me fired. They sent me revolting things to the point where I phoned my management and said to my kids, ‘I can’t.’
“I cancelled everything last week after it. I just said, ‘I can’t do it, I don’t want to do it anymore.’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jimmy Fallon “kinda cried” when he sent his daughter to her first day of school this week.
The 43-year-old talk show host dropped his five-year-old daughter Winnie off at kindergarten for her first day of school this week, and has admitted both he and his wife Nancy Juvonen were emotional about the prospect of seeing her grow up.
Whilst interviewing Jennifer Garner on his talk show ‘The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon’ – which was aired on Wednesday (05.09.18) – he said: “She just went to kindergarten today. I didn’t cry. But I did, kinda. I kinda held it in – I didn’t want to be the dad that cries.”
To which Jennifer – who has three children, Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine, and Samuel, six, with Ben Affleck – asked: “Did she skip in or did you see her trying to be brave? ‘Cause that’s what I can’t handle.”
Jimmy – who also has three-year-old daughter Frances with his spouse – then admitted that whilst his wife “totally lost it”, he was made to act “cool” in front of the other parents.
He said: “Just walking to the school made me start getting sad. I was like, ‘I’m not gonna [cry].’ My wife totally lost it. She was crying and she got all the other moms crying. The other dads were cool, so I had to be cool.
“[The other parents are] like, ‘Are you okay?’ I’m like, ‘Everything’s fine! Have fun, Winnie, have fun at kindergarten! I gotta get out of here!’ I couldn’t hide it at all, it was absolutely terrible.”
Meanwhile, Jimmy recently said he was determined to make sure his daughters learn to play outside, rather than becoming dependent on electronic devices.
He said: “I really want them to play outside more than anything because that’s what I did with my sister when I grew up. No iPads, no iPhones. Get dirty, go on the swings and just play and play and play until you’re exhausted.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Chrissy Teigen was “drinking too much” following the birth of her daughter.
The 32-year-old model gave birth to her baby girl Luna two years ago, and has said that after suffering with postpartum depression – which she has spoken about in detail before – she lost control of her health.
She said: “After Luna, I was drinking too much. I wasn’t eating as much because I was full from drinking. I wasn’t being good to my body. I remember being so bruised from nothing.”
The ‘Lip Sync Battle’ host – who now also has three-month-old son Milo with her husband John Legend – now takes antidepressants to help her cope with her depression, and couldn’t be more “proud” that she’s doing the best she can for her body.
She added: “It’s like, what could be more important than mental health? What’s more important than being proud of yourself and doing the best you can for your body?”
Following two pregnancies and a battle with her health, Chrissy says she now has a completely different perspective on her body, and the former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model now no longer cares if she never puts on another bikini.
Speaking to Women’s Health magazine, she said: “Honestly, I don’t ever have to be in a swimsuit again. Since I was 20 years old, I had this weight in my mind that I am, or that I’m supposed to be. I’ve been so used to that number for 10 years now. And then I started realising it was a swimsuit-model weight. There’s a very big difference between wanting to be that kind of fit and wanting to be happy-fit.”
Previously, Chrissy had said she was “worried” about getting postpartum depression for a second time when she was expecting her son.
She said: “Do I worry about it with this little boy? I do. But I also know that when it does happen – if it does – I’m so ready for it. I have the perfect people around me for it. That’s why I stand for a real core group of people around me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ethan Hawke credits his return to stage acting for helping him get over his depression following his divorce from Uma Thurman.
The 47-year-old actor went through tough times after splitting from the ‘Kill Bill’ star in 2005, but has said throwing himself into his work and returning to theatre acting rather than Hollywood movies helped him to get himself back on track and improve his mental health.
He said: “I’ve never been anti-Hollywood. I just really decided that I needed to get close to what I really love about what I do. If you live long enough, sometimes you have to have a gut check moment – and the theatre has been that for me.”
Ethan – who is now married to second wife Ryan Hawke, with whom he has daughters Clementine, 10, and Indiana, seven – now balances the stage with his movie work, and says the mix helps to keep him grounded.
The ‘First Reformed’ star said: “It’s much harder [being in the theatre]. It requires a higher level of discipline. Nobody goes to get you coffee. You don’t get paid a lot of money. You’ve got to get yourself to work everyday. You get to keep your sense of humour.
“I started actively thinking, ‘S**t, it’s time to get on stage again’. It just feels like what I should be doing next. I spent a lot of energy on these three movies, with directing, then doing a really serious movie, and then a comedic performance in ‘Juliet, Naked’. I feel ready to go on stage.”
On top of his varied acting career, Ethan is also a director – with his most recent project being new biopic ‘Blaze’ – novelist, and screenwriter.
Speaking to People magazine about his career, he said: “Curiosity makes life so much fun. When you start losing your curiosity, then everything just kind of gets sanded down and all the joy diminishes. If you’re looking at everything with the eyes of a student, it all becomes dynamic again.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne Hathaway is set to be honoured with the HRC National Equality Award from the Human Rights Campaign next week.
The 35-year-old actress will be given the prestigious honour at the 22nd annual HRC National Dinner on Saturday, September 15, in recognition of her continued charity work, particularly with the LGBTQ community, Variety has reported.
HRC president Chad Griffin told Variety: “Through her incredible talent and bold activism, Anne Hathaway uses her global platform to stand up for the LGBTQ community.
“From speaking out against discriminatory legislation targeting the LGBTQ community to her leadership on workplace equality for women, Anne is making a real difference in the lives of countless people around the globe.”
The publication states that former Vice President Joe Biden will speak at the event, as well as former Attorney General Eric Holder, Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, and Nevada Secretary of State candidate Nelson Araujo.
Anne and her husband Adam Shulman famously sold their wedding photos and donated proceeds to organisations working to achieve marriage equality when they tied the knot in 2012.
The ‘Ocean’s Eight’ star also joined in a HRC-led petition in 2016 to protest a Georgia bill that would allow discrimination of LGBTQ individuals.
On top of that, Annie is the UN Women’s Global Ambassador, where she works to support women’s equality in the workplace, and also serves on the advisory board for Lollipop Theatre Network, an organisation that screens films for hospital patients with chronic or life-threatening illness.
Speaking about her work with the LGBTQ community in 2008, the ‘Les Miserables’ star said: “I don’t consider myself just an ally to the LGBT community, I consider myself your family. And so, I’m doing what we should all do with our families – I’m loving you, I support you, I completely accept you as you are, as I hope you do me, and if anyone ever tries to hurt you, I’m going to give them hell.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Burt Reynolds has died at the age of 82.
The iconic Hollywood actor tragically passed away on Thursday (06.09.18) at Jupiter Medical Center in Florida, his manager has confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
Burt reportedly went into cardiac arrest at the hospital earlier in the day, and his family were by his side at the time of his passing, although at the time of writing no statement has been released.
The actor was most known for his lead roles in movies including ‘The Longest Yard’, ‘Smokey and the Bandit’, and ‘Boogie Nights’, for which he earned an Oscar nomination.
Burt once wrote in his memoir, ‘But Enough About Me: A Memoir’: “I always wanted to experience everything and go down swinging. Well, so far, so good. I know I’m old, but I feel young. And there’s one thing they can never take away: Nobody had more fun than I did.”
The iconic actor was Hollywood’s top-grossing star every year from 1978 through 1982, after having landed top roles in hit movies, which also included ‘Deliverance’ – Burt’s personal favourite of all his credits.
In his memoir, he states: “If I had to put only one of my movies in a time capsule, it would be ‘Deliverance’. I don’t know if it’s the best acting I’ve done, but it’s the best movie I’ve ever been in. It proved I could act, not only to the public but me.”
Most recently, Burt was working on upcoming projects including ‘Defining Moments’ and ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’.
Burt is survived by his son Quinton who the actor adopted with Loni Anderson when he was just three days old.

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexander Skarsgard isn’t “affected” by dating rumours about him.
The 42-year-old actor has been romantically linked to Charlize Theron – after the pair worked together in 2017 – as well as more recently to model Camille Rowe following her split from Harry Styles, but he couldn’t be less interested in the speculation and is happy to let people “think whatever they want” about his private life.
He said: “It doesn’t affect me. People can think whatever they want. It’s impossible to live in a vacuum – you hear, ‘Oh, I heard you’re dating so-and-so.’ Sometimes you’re like, ‘Yeah, I did.’ Sometimes it’s, ‘Never met the person but give her my number.’ ”
Whilst the ‘Big Little Lies’ star played coy about his current relationship status, he did hint that he hasn’t settled down just yet because his career keeps him too busy to find love.
Speaking to WSJ. Magazine, he added: “I really enjoy the adventure of traveling, meeting new people and working a lot. Hopefully one day I’ll settle down.”
His comments come after it was rumoured he had struck up a romance with Victoria’s Secret model Camille, 28, last month, after she parted ways with former boyfriend and One Direction star Harry Styles earlier this year.
A source said: “Camille and Alexander have been quietly dating for a few weeks now.
“They met while shooting an ad campaign at the beginning of the year.
“She was just friends with him at first but after things ended with Harry, they started to grow closer.
“Since then they’ve been on a few dates, including one to a basketball game when she was sat on his knee and they were kissing a lot.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Arnold Schwarzenegger has led the celebrity tributes to Burt Reynolds, as he dubbed the actor as “a trailblazer”.
The 82-year-old icon tragically passed away on Thursday (06.09.18) after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest, and stars have already flooded social media with tributes to the ‘Deliverance’ actor, with Arnold being one of the first to comment on the news.
The ‘Terminator’ star tweeted: “Burt Reynolds was one of my heroes. He was a trailblazer. He showed the way to transition from being an athlete to being the highest paid actor, and he always inspired me. He also had a great sense of humor – check out his Tonight Show clips. My thoughts are with his family.”
Other stars to pay tribute included Billy Dee Williams, Steve Harvey, Ricky Gervais, and Elijah Wood.
Comedian Steve posted a picture of himself and the ‘Boogie Nights’ star on Twitter, with the caption: “Very sad to hearing about the passing of Burt Reynolds. He was a great actor, a philanthropist and a pioneer of the cool mustache. Thank you, Burt. You will be missed.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Julie Bowen has settled her divorce.
The ‘Modern Family’ star split from her husband Scott Phillips – with whom she has Oliver, 11, and twins John and Gustav, nine – in March after 13 years of marriage, and it has now been reported the pair have finally settled the terms of their divorce after being at loggerheads over their finances.
According to The Blast, the 48-year-old actress submitted her judgement package to courts on Tuesday (04.09.18), and after the pair had hashed out a private settlement, the judge in the case signed off on the deal.
During their negotiations, Scott had been seeking spousal support from Julie, but it’s currently unclear what he ended up with.
Julie separated from the real estate investor earlier this year, after having not been spotted on a red carpet together since September 2016 at the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s 47th Anniversary Gala Vanguard Awards in West Hollywood, where Julie joked that the pair were too “tired” to think about getting divorced.
She said at the time: “We watch all these people get married and split up and go, ‘Wait, did they get married after us or before us?’ We outlast all these people. The answer: We’re too tired to do anything else!
“At first I loved my husband and then I loved the kids and now I love our family. When I see my husband with my kids, it makes me so happy. When I see my kids all sitting down at the table together, I’m like, ‘This is awesome. We did this!'”
Julie and Scott celebrated their anniversary on the day of the Emmy Awards in 2016, and the actress revealed that she’d allowed him to stay at home so that he didn’t have to be a “purse holder” on their special day.

The 59-year-old actress has admitted that as she’s gotten older, she’s started to stop looking at her reflection because she doesn’t want to be “confronted” with the changes in her body.
Speaking to Good Housekeeping. she said: “I don’t look in the mirror. I am not going to look the same as I used to, and I don’t want to be confronted every day.”
The ‘Halloween’ star has removed mirrors from her home except for him her bathroom, but even when she steps out of the shower she makes sure to turn her back to the reflective surface as she dries off.
She added: “When I get out of the shower, I have a choice: I can dry myself off looking in the mirror, or I can dry off with my back to it. I turn my back to the mirror, and I feel great.”
Despite not having confidence in the way her own body looks, Jamie Lee insists she doesn’t want other women to “hate themselves”.
She said: “I don’t want women to hate themselves, because I think women are extraordinary.”
In her piece for the magazine, Jamie Lee also listed several pieces of advice for women, including learning to “let go” of things in their lives in order to keep starting afresh.
The ‘True Lies’ star said: “I am a constant editor. I shed people, I shed clothing, I shed possessions, I shed ideas. The biggest thing I’ve shed is my own limitations and perception of who I am. How can I expect my agent to think of me in a different way if I don’t think of me in a different way?”

The iconic actor passed away on Thursday (06.09.18) after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest at the age of 82, and music legend Dolly, who starred with Burt in the 1982 film ‘The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas’, has shared her grief at the news.
Posting a still image of the pair in the movie – in which Burt played Sheriff Ed Earl Dodd with whom Dolly’s character had an affair – the ‘9 to 5’ hitmaker wrote on Twitter: “Oh how sad I am today along with Burt’s millions of fans around the world as we mourn one of our favorite leading men. I know we will always remember his funny laugh, that mischievous sparkle in his eyes, and his quirky sense of humor. You will always be my favorite sheriff, rest in peace my little buddy. I will always love you, Dolly. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Burt Reynolds’ death was “totally unexpected”, according to his family.
The iconic Hollywood star tragically passed away on Thursday (06.09.18) at the age of 82 after suffering a cardiac arrest at Jupiter Medical in Florida, and his family have now released a statement confirming his passing, which they say came as a shock.
His niece Nancy Lee Hess said in a statement: “My uncle was not just a movie icon; he was a generous, passionate and sensitive man who was dedicated to his family, friends, fans and acting students
“He has had health issues, however, this was totally unexpected. He was tough. Anyone who breaks their tailbone on a river and finishes the movie is tough. And that’s who he was. My uncle was looking forward to working with Quentin Tarantino (in ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’) and the amazing cast that was assembled.”
The ‘Deliverance’ actor had been battling several health issues over the years including a bout of flu in 2013 which left him in intensive care, and underwent a heart bypass operation in 2010.
After being released from hospital following the surgery, Burt had said: “My doctor said I needed to undergo bypass surgery immediately. I went home and shaved then had the operation the next day.”
The ‘Boogie Nights’ actor added he “was a heart attack waiting to happen,” admitting he felt “fabulous” after the surgery and even declared he wanted to “live to be 199.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gabrielle Union’s key to a lasting marriage is not taking her husband “for granted”.
The 45-year-old actress recently celebrated four years of marriage to her husband Dwayne Wade, and has said the secret to making their relationship last is making sure they express how much they mean to one another, and “staying rooted in their love”.
Speaking to People magazine, Gabrielle said: “We have to make sure, especially when we have these long distance relationships, that we don’t take each other for granted. And making sure that communication is not just on point – We know where the kids are, we know the dogs have been picked up, that our mother has got birthday gifts or whatever it is – but just reminding ourselves and staying rooted in our love and our friendship, and making sure we express that, which we try to every day.”
The ‘Breaking In’ star doesn’t have children of her own with Dwayne but is stepmother to his brood, Zaire, 16, Zion, 11, and Xavier, four, and the basketball star recently praised her for being there for him and his kids.
He wrote on Instagram: “She’s a star in her most important role. I wanna acknowledge my wife and the kids step mom for being everything that each boy and i have needed her to be. We couldn’t have wished for more @gabunion … Thank you for loving us! (sic)”
Gabrielle had previously opened up about suffering “eight or nine” miscarriages and says she has spent three years as a “prisoner of trying to get pregnant” through fertility treatment.
In an excerpt from her new book, ‘We’re Going to Need More Wine’, she revealed: “I have had eight or nine miscarriages. OHMYGOSSIP — Terry Crews has settled a lawsuit with Adam Venit after alleging he groped him.
The 50-year-old actor and the talent agent – who Terry claimed grabbed his crotch at a Hollywood party in 2016 – are said to have reached a deal, and Adam’s agency William Morris Endeavor (WME) have confirmed the suit has been “dismissed”.
They said in a statement: “Terry Crews, Adam Venit and WME have settled the lawsuit Mr. Crews filed last year. It will be dismissed.”
‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ actor Terry had launched the lawsuit in December, but Adam denied the accusations in court documents.
Terry shared an article on Twitter which claims Adam is planning to leave WME, and he added the caption: “ACCOUNTABILITY”
In March, it was reported the ‘Expendables’ star had the sexual assault case he filed against Adam rejected due to the statute of limitations.
The Los Angeles District Attorney rejected the move for a felony filing and sent the case to the City Attorney, who concluded the case was barred by the statute of limitations – which is the time limit surrounding the conviction of a crime, based on when the crimes took place.
In late 2017, Terry opened up about his claims during an interview on ‘Good Morning America’.
He said: “My wife and I were at an event with Adam Sandler. He’s Adam Sandler’s agent, he’s Sylvester Stallone’s agent, he’s Eddie Murphy’s agent, he’s connected to everyone I know in the business. Here’s the thing, I did not know this man.
“I have never had a conversation with him, ever. The first time I ever had an interaction with him was at this event.
“So, I’m looking at him, and he’s staring at me and sticking his tongue out, it’s overtly sexual. It’s a party, it’s packed, and I’m looking at him like, ‘Is this a joke?’ It was so bizarre. He comes over to me, and he literally takes his hand and squeezes my genitals. I really got forceful. Pushed him back, and he starts giggling and laughing. I have never felt more emasculated, more objectified.
“When I looked at him, it was rage. I felt like I could punch a hole in his head. My wife told me three years earlier, you can never handle any situation like this with violence. When I grabbed her hand and left that party, I got in the car and almost ripped the steering wheel off. She just kept saying, ‘I’m proud of you.’ She calmed me down. She was the one who told me that this kind of thing would happen.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Liz Fraser has died aged 88.
The late ‘Carry On’ film star’s death was announced on Thursday (06.09.18), and director Michael Armstrong has described her as “one of the greatest comedic actresses of her era”.
He wrote on Twitter: “My lovely Liz Fraser has died. I’m too upset to speak of our personal relationship over the years but will state: as one of the greatest comedic actresses of her era on stage & screen, her legacy of work will serve as a masterclass for future generations. RIP, dearest Liz. X (sic)”
A tweet on the British Comedy Society’s Twitter account read: “We’re very sad to learn that the wonderful comic actor Liz Fraser, star of many post-war TV, radio and film comedies, has died at the age of 88. She was a delight. Seen here in Carry On Cruising.”
Elstree Studios chairman Morris Bright tweeted: “Sad to hear of passing of lovely actress Liz Fraser at 88. Fun, bubbly, irascible, she worked with the very best of British comedy talent from Hancock to Sellers. Always a delight to welcome her to events @PinewoodStudios to talk about her long career. We had such fun. (sic)”
Liz made her ‘Carry On’ debut as Delia King in 1961’s ‘Carry On Regardless’ and went on to play Glad Trimble in 1962’s ‘Carry On Cruising’, and Sally in ‘Carry On Cabby’ alongside Hattie Jacques in 1963.
She is said to have been dropped from the franchise after making a comment about how the movie series could be better marketed.
But Liz did return to the franchise 12 years later as Sylvia Ramsden in 1975’s ‘Carry On Behind’, which also featured Kenneth Williams, but she is said to have been paid less than half the salary she was previously on.
Liz’s first big role in film came in 1959 when she appeared as Peter Sellers’ on-screen daughter Cynthia in ‘I’m All Right Jack’, and she went on to play his girlfriend in 1960 movie ‘Two Way Stretch’.
She previously claimed the late actor tried to seduce her on numerous occasions.
Liz said: “He wined and dined me at his Hampstead penthouse and another time locked me in his dressing room having invited me there for lunch.
“He had treated a girlfriend of mine badly, so I didn’t quite go there.”
Liz played Ian Lavender’s on-screen mum Mrs. Pike in the 1971 film version of TV show ‘Dad’s Army’, and starred opposite Julie Andrews in 1964 Hollywood movie ‘The Americanization of Emily’.
She also appeared in ‘Sixpenny Corner’, the first-ever soap opera broadcast on British TV in 1955, alongside Howard Pays and Patricia Dainton, and played comedian Tony Hancock’s love interest in radio series ‘Hancock’s Half Hour’.
