Bryce Dallas Howard says Sir Elton John biopic is ‘wild’

OHMYGOSSIP — Bryce Dallas Howard says the Sir Elton John biopic is “transportive and wild”.
The 37-year-old actress jumped at the chance to star in the upcoming movie, and Bryce has revealed that she was particularly excited about the prospect of working with Elton and his husband David Furnish on the project.
Asked what appealed to her about the film, she explained: “First and foremost, the fact that Elton is involved and his husband, David Furnish, is everything.
“I loved getting to learn about him, and to immerse myself in his world and his music. It’s a classic musical. It’s so, so fun and transportive and wild.
“I’m just thrilled to be a part of it. It’s really exciting. Five minutes into the read-through, I turned to Dexter Fletcher, the director, and I went, ‘This is going to work!'”
Bryce sings in the movie, which is titled ‘Rocketman’, and rather than being daunted by the experience, the American actress actually relished the opportunity.
She told Collider: “Oh, it’s so fun! It’s incredibly fun!”
Bryce is, perhaps, best-known for playing Claire Dearing in ‘Jurassic World’ and ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’.
Those films represented her first foray into a big-budget sci-fi franchise, but Bryce had no hesitation in accepting the role.
She said: “Of course, it was an immediate yes! I got involved around May of 2013, and then the movie actually got pushed and no one else was cast yet.
“There was a while where it was like, ‘I’m doing this, and damn, it’s not happening,’ and I wasn’t really allowed to talk to people about it. And then, finally, when the movie got the green light and was happening, Chris [Pratt] was cast shortly thereafter and it became real.
“From the get-go, it was just me, desperately hoping that it would happen, and then it came through. And so, the fact that there’s now multiple movies is so great.”

Lana Del Rey explains the inspiration for her album title

OHMYGOSSIP — Lana Del Rey’s new album is to be named ‘Norman F***ing Rockwell’.
The 33-year-old singer has revealed the title of her latest record to Zane Lowe, explaining on Beats 1 where the inspiration for the unusual name has come from.
Lana – who collaborated with Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff on the album – shared: “Working with Jack, I was in a little bit of a lighter mood because he was so funny.
“So the title track is called ‘Norman F***ing Rockwell’ and it’s kind of about this guy who is such a genius artist, he thinks he’s the s**t and he knows it and he won’t shut up talking about it.
“So often I ended up with these creative types – or not, or whatever – and they just go on and on about themselves and I’m like, ‘Yeah, yeah.’
“But there’s a little bit of merit to it, also. They are so good. I just like the title track so much that I was like, ‘OK, I definitely want the record to also be called that.'”
Meanwhile, Lana also revealed she has plans to publish a book of her own poetry.
She said: “I have like 13 kind of long poems that I started binding and I thought, ‘Wow, the pages are kind of stacking up here.’
“I mean, it’s easy too with haikus because it’s only three lines so you could have like 30 pages of haikus that’s only like 200 words or something.
“But I thought they’re kind of like stacking up to look like a real book. So I mean what I’d like to do is sort of self-publish but I’m not very good at the distribution side of things.”

Jessica Biel’s sweet post-Emmy breakfast

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Biel had cake for breakfast after the Emmy Awards.
The ‘Sinner’ actress may have lost out to Regina King for the Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie accolade at Monday’s (17.09.18) ceremony, but she still had a great night out with husband Justin Timberlake and the only thing that could ease her hangover after the afterparties was a sugary treat.
She shared a series of photos on Instagram on Tuesday (18.09.18) which were captioned: “Portrait of a hungover woman who had cake for breakfast.”
The first photo showed the 36-year-old actress without make-up but looking happy, the second was of the cake with a woman’s photo and the words “I’m proud of you” on it, and they were followed by a Boomerang video of Jessica eating a huge piece of cake with her hand, seemingly fresh out of the shower.
The last photo she posted featured the brunette beauty leaning against the fridge with cake smeared on her face.
After the awards ceremony took place, Jessica and Justin had left the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and made a quick stop for a burger before heading out partying.
Jessica had shared a photo of herself in a strapless yellow Ralph & Russo gown and captioned it: “After party bound, energy courtesy of In and Out Burger.”
The ‘Total Recall’ actress – who has son Silas, three, with Justin – has previously confessed to eating pasta in the shower because she’s so pressed for time.
She said: “I’m feeding [Silas] in the morning, trying to get ready, and I realise I haven’t eaten, [so] I just take it into the shower.”
But she admitted it isn’t always the easiest way to eat a meal.
She added: “Sometimes it’s a huge success! Sometimes it’s a huge failure.”

Suki Waterhouse shot someone on film set

OHMYGOSSIP — Suki Waterhouse accidentally shot someone while filming her new movie.
The 26-year-old model portrays Sarah in the forthcoming black comedy thriller ‘Assassination Nation’ and she has admitted her lack of firearms training ahead of filming meant that she “hurt someone” when her bullet ricocheted.
Speaking at the movie’s premiere in New York, according to the New York Post newspaper, she said: “I hurt somebody. The bullet ricocheted. They hadn’t seen that in 20 years. The bullet came back at the guy and hurt him. We didn’t get extensive [firearms] training. I’m not gonna lie, it was maybe an hour.”
The brunette beauty refused to divulge who was on the receiving end of her dodgy bullet but the film also stars the likes of Odessa Young and Bill Skarsgård.
However, it wasn’t just their dangerous aim that attracted attention as Hari Nef – who plays Bex – revealed they were banned from two bars in New Orleans during filming because of how rowdy they were in the evenings after shooting.
The 25-year-old actress joked: “We were staying in a residence with a courtyard. It was like Gen Z ‘Melrose Place.
“We got banned from two New Orleans bars. It’s really hard to do that.”
Meanwhile, with her busy modelling career and the amount of movie roles she’s bagging at the moment, Suki – who previously romanced Bradley Cooper – is finding it hard to date because she’s never in the same country for long enough.
Her globe-trotting career meant that her brief relationship with Robert Pattinson over the summer came to an abrupt end after just a month of dating.
However, there are no hard feelings between the pair as they both made it clear that they were just having “fun” and neither were looking for anything serious.
A source said at the time: “Rob is having fun right now and has definitely moved on from his relationship with FKA Twigs. He likes to have fun when he has breaks in between filming and him and Suki have a great time together. He isn’t looking for anything serious right now. but they are definitely into each other.”

Josh Groban’s The Good Cop injuries

OHMYGOSSIP — Josh Groban injured himself multiple times on the set of Netflix show ‘The Good Cop’.
The 37-year-old singer has turned his hand to playing police officer Tony Caruso Jr. in the forthcoming series on the streaming service and whilst he admits it was great “fun”, there were many risks involved, including being thrown around and shot at, which he thinks might be why he has a herniated disc and a spinal cyst.
According to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: “I had a lot of stunts. I chose to do them and they were a lot of fun to do.
“It’s always great to get thrown around a kitchen.
“I don’t get roughed up nearly enough in my day job so I decided to go for it.
“But I now have a herniated disc and a spinal cyst.
“They could be because of my number of things I did.
“I got thrown into a staircase, I got thrown around a kitchen, I got shot I was jumping over barrels.
“There were all kinds of things that happened where I ended up icing my bones.
“I didn’t feel it at the time because the adrenaline was going.
“But then I went to see the back doctor and he was saying: ‘You’re pretty messed up.'”
However, the ‘Muppets Most Wanted’ star doesn’t have any regrets about taking on the challenging role.
He said: “It’s been a lot of fun. It was a leap.
“But then everything I’ve done that had been fun was a risk.”
Josh recently admitted he has embraced the chance to do some “weird stuff” and is more open to different opportunities than he used to be.
On getting the chance to play an “angelic” cop, he said: “My character is tone-deaf, though, so there’s no angelic singing, at least.
“Look, there were many years where I might not have been comfortable being that earnest because I felt at the time that the whole picture of me wasn’t entirely accurate.
“Now that I’ve been able to do some weird stuff, I feel lucky to have an opportunity to do something like this.
“And the difference is that I’m taking ownership of that perception — I’m doing it in a tongue-in-cheek way.”

Joe Tracini gets emotional while discussing suicidal thoughts

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Tracini’s brain sometimes tells him that taking his only life is the “best and only option” he has.
The 30-year-old star started to well up on live TV as he opened up about a recent piece he wrote to highlight World Suicide Prevention Day – which told how he experiences suicidal thoughts which write off “whole days” – and he has urged people who go through dark times to “wait” for happier moments.
He said: “Something I’ve learnt is life is a stack of moments and you can only ever see one at a time, and sometimes my brain tells me that taking my life is the best and only option I’ve got.
“I know this happens to a lot of people.
“I think the important thing to tell myself and anybody else is that in that moment you might feel like that and you might feel like that in the next one, but there will always be a moment where you won’t feel like that.
“So please wait for it.”
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actor – who plays Dennis Savage in the `soap – admitted he will pen a tome about his experiences if anyone wants him to, and he has encouraged people to talk if they are going through any issues.
When it was suggested he should write a book, he said: “If somebody wants me to write a book I’ll write a book.
“I feel in a more confident place to be able to deal with what my brain is doing.
“To talk about it I have to talk about it, and luckily I’m in a position where I can talk to lots of people about it.
“Just keep talking about it.”
Joe – who wrote a piece for Mental Health Week in May about previously contemplating suicide – was pleased to see a positive response to his recent World Suicide Prevention Day post, which was shared by James Corden, and admitted he only received one negative comment which was directed towards the ‘Late Late Show’ host rather than his own writing.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, the star – who is the son of comedian Joe Pasquale – added: “There were thousands of people who got in touch and not one of them had anything bad to say.
“The only negative comment I got was a bloke from Tallahassee who was angry that James wouldn’t listen to his Carpool Karaoke idea. I’m fine with that. I’m absolutely good with that.”
Last week, Joe wrote about nearly taking his own life six years ago and admitted that while the years have passed “it doesn’t mean the thoughts have gone”, and that he has an “underlying shame and fear” when he is experiencing “any moment of happiness”.

Paul O’Grady confronts man on flight

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul O’Grady confronted a homophobic “yob” who verbally abused him and his husband on a flight.
The ‘Blind Date’ presenter and Andre Portasio were travelling in business class back to London from a holiday in Thailand on Sunday (16.09.18) when the unnamed man called the ballet dancer a “f***ing queer”.
He also said: “Do you want to suck my c**k?”
Paul, 63, told The Sun newspaper: “I stood up and said, ‘You’re lucky we’re not in the street, mate, because you’d be eating your dinner through a straw.’
“He didn’t know I was sitting next to Andre. Then the bonehead was saying something about me thinking I could do whatever I wanted because I was famous.
“He claimed Andre had been looking at him, which was ridiculous. I mean, he was this typical English yob with a beard and a beer belly.”
Paul explained cabin crew then removed the man from business class and he was arrested when they landed at Heathrow airport.
However, the ‘For the Love of Dogs’ host and his 37-year-old spouse declined to press charges as they didn’t want other passengers to be delayed by having to give statements, so he was released after being cautioned.
But Paul said: “It was only afterwards I thought they should have turned that flight around and had him arrested by Thai police. It could easily have turned nasty up there.”
Though Paul and Andre got married last year after 10 years together, he recently admitted they don’t live together, which he thinks is the key to their successful relationship.
He said: “It works a treat. It’s the same as before. We see each other all the time. We just don’t live together, which for me makes for a perfect relationship because when you’ve had enough, you can say, ‘I’ll see you, I’m off.’
“I’m a bit cranky of a morning. I’m a cobra. I don’t get up, I’m exhumed, and I slither down the stairs looking for trouble. But otherwise I’m fine.
“[Andre’s] pristine, you know, everything’s tidy – and I’m not.”

Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding cast in Last Christmas

OHMYGOSSIP — Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding are set to star in a new Paul Feig-directed romance.
The 31-year-old actress and Henry have both been cast in Universal’s ‘Last Christmas’, which will see the latter be reunited with Paul, having recently worked together on ‘A Simple Favor’.
The upcoming screenplay has been penned by Emma Thompson and Bryony Kimmings, but details about the plot remain scarce, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Paul will also produce the film through his Feigco Entertainment company, with Emma and David Livingstone also serving as producers.
Henry, 31, has recently emerged as one of the up-and-coming stars in Hollywood, having made his feature film debut in ‘Crazy Rich Asians’.
Despite this, the Malaysian actor has insisted he doesn’t want to be “defined as the Asian leading man”.
He said: “I don’t want to be defined as the Asian leading man. I want to be the leading man. Henry Golding.
“If it means helping inspire other Asians to be leading men, hell yeah, I’ll take it. You don’t know how proud I am to have that associated with my name.
“Sadly, we’re so underrepresented that we have to start with these labels to be proud of it, to normalise it. So s**t, I’ll be the next Asian leading man.”
Henry also revealed he is keen to branch out with other movie genres in the future.
He explained: “I don’t want to get stuck in romantic comedy. I love these modern dramas, but when I’m in make-believe, I want to be beyond that of this reality.”

Ethan Hawke reveals his Independence Day regret

OHMYGOSSIP — Ethan Hawke still regrets rejecting the chance to star in ‘Independence Day’.
The 47-year-old actor was offered the opportunity to appear in the 1996 action movie, but Ethan turned down the chance because he thought to the script sounded silly.
Recalling rejecting the movie during a road trip from Texas to New York, Ethan said: “I’m driving cross-country with a friend of mine.
“I got the script to ‘Independence Day’, and there’s like dollar bills attached to it. And I’m reading it to my buddy in the car like, ‘Isn’t this a bad line? E.T. phone home … that’s stupid’.
“And I’m going through it [the script] to the point where I literally throw it out onto the Texas highway.”
The part of Captain Steven Hiller was eventually handed to Will Smith, and it remains one of his most famous roles.
Ethan admitted he came to regret his decision the moment he walked into a cinema to watch ‘Independence Day’ for himself.
Speaking to chat-show host Conan O’Brien, the Hollywood star recalled: “Everyone wants to go see ‘Independence Day’ and I’m like, ‘Alright, this’ll be amusing to see how bad it is!’
“I walk into the theatre, it’s obviously sold out. Will Smith says, ‘E.T. phone home …’ and the place roars. I mean they basically give a standing ovation in the movie. And I’m sitting there going, ‘Oh my God’. I really didn’t get the joke!”

Christine and the Queens inspired by Madonna

OHMYGOSSIP — Christine and the Queens is inspired by Madonna’s “macho but feminine presence” from the 90s.
The ‘Tilted’ hitmaker was spanked on stage by the Queen of Pop as a fan at one of her gigs and even went on to duet with the ‘Like A Virgin’ in 2016.
Christine’s forthcoming second studio album ‘Chris’ – which is released on Friday (21.09.18) – has “sexual” themes about “desire”, which the French pop star has praised the 60-year-old megastar for pulling off as a woman.
She said: “I wanted an album more sexual and about desire.
“Madonna’s presence in the 90s was quite macho but still feminine, she superimposed contradictory things – that was very inspiring.
“All the male pop stars I adore are all very sexual, even Michael Jackson and The Weeknd.
“They write about desire and that interested me but I wanted it from the point of view of a woman.”
The 30-year-old singer – whose real name is Heloise Letissier – says she feels liberated wearing her hair in a short style and not wearing girly outfits.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: “There’s a liberation in cutting your hair, wearing a vest and exposing my muscles.”
Christine is now nicknamed Chris after naming her new record the latter, and she loves that no one knows what to call her.
She joked: “It’s disorder, it’s perfect. I don’t know either … Chris is probably my favourite because it’s short and you can call it to me anywhere.”
Christine feels like an entirely different person when she’s off stage and doesn’t get bothered by fans in the street.
She said: “I can disappear completely, I’m very shy.
“People don’t recognise me, I pass for a young fragile French student.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Saint Claude’ singer recently admitted she felt “reclusive and lonely” making her first album.
She buried her head in books when she was working on her debut LP ‘Chaleur humaine’, and it was only after she toured the world and got to interact with her audience that she grew a confidence, which allowed her to be more “intimate” with her fans on ‘Chris’.
She admitted: “On the first album I was quite reclusive and lonely.
“I was in my books, believing that literature was better than life.”

The Modfather Paul Weller won’t add to brood

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Modfather’ Paul Weller doesn’t want any more children.
The ‘Changingman’ hitmaker, 60, has eight kids like his rock star peers Sir Mick Jagger, 75, and Sir Rod Stewart, 73, and while he feels “extremely lucky” to be a father, he has no plans to increase his brood.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I think eight’s a good number. It’s my lucky number. But the difference between being 30 and being a dad and being 60 and being a dad is a different mindset.
“You have more patience, and you know, kind of, what to expect.
“I consider myself extremely, lucky, really, to be able to experience it and how wonderful it is, really.
“And changing nappies? Yeah, no problem. I’ve had enough f***ing experience.”
The former Jam star welcomed his eighth child, daughter Nova, with his current wife Hannah – who is 30 years his junior – into the world in July 2017.
Hannah – who was a backing singer on his ’22 Dreams’ album – and Paul married on the Italian island of Capri in 2010 and already have twin sons Bowie and John Paul, who were born in 2012 and were named after late ‘Life on Mars’ hitmaker David Bowie and The Beatles stars John Lennon and Paul McCartney respectively.
The couple started seeing one another in 2008 after he split from his partner of 13 years Samantha Stock, with whom he has 17-year-old daughter Jesamine and 12-year-old son Stevie Mac.
The ‘Going Underground’ rocker also has 29-year-old daughter Leah and 26-year-old son Nathanial with his first wife Dee C. Lee, whom he was married to from 1988 until they divorced in 1994.
He also has a 21-year-old son called Dylan – named after the music legend Bob Dylan – from a relationship he had with a make-up stylist only known by the name of Lucy.

Kit Harington thanks show for wife

OHMYGOSSIP — Kit Harington has thanked ‘Game of Thrones’ for his “future family”.
The 31-year-old actor met spouse Rose Leslie – who he married in June – on the set of the fantasy drama series so he will always credit the HBO saga for changing his life “completely”.
Asked how the show had changed his life, he told reporters backstage at the Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday (17.09.18): “I met my wife on the show, so in that way hopefully it gave me my future family and my life here on in, that’s the main thing it did for me, you know, it’s changed it completely.
“The last 10 years, you could not ask for a better job to have in your 20s than to be an actor in ‘Game of Thrones’, it’s been the most amazing thing so it’s changed it completely.”
And his co-star Emilia Clarke admitted her time on the show had done the same for her – though she hasn’t been as lucky in love.
She quipped: “Really similar [for me] apart from the wife bit, basically. It’s given me my entire career and my entire life as I know it now. I genuinely owe it absolutely everything, I’m incredibly lucky.”
Meanwhile, Kit – who plays Jon Snow – recently admitted he doesn’t think everyone will be happy with the ending when ‘Game of Thrones’ draws to a close after eight seasons next year, but he thinks that’s always the case with a good drama series.
He said: “I think a TV series that’s spanned eight, nine years is an incredibly difficult thing to end. I think not everyone’s going to be happy, you know, and you can’t please everyone.
“My favourite TV shows are ‘Sopranos’, ‘Breaking Bad’, and ‘The Wire’ and they all ended in a way that…It’s never going to satisfy you.”

Georgia Toffolo opens up on ‘cruel’ bullies

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia Toffolo has suffered bullying because of her ‘Made In Chelsea’ fame.
The reality TV star explained how making her name on the show has opened her up to “cruel” online trolls sending her “horrible” comments about her acne.
According to the Daily Star newspaper, she wrote in her new book ‘Always Smiling: The World According to Toff’: “Because of my job, I’m in a position where trolls can tweet me and say the most horrible things about my skin.
“People had been getting in touch on social media to say that they loved seeing my skin, and it meant a lot to them because they also struggled with their complexions.
“Of course, life is never quite as straightforward as we’d like it to be, and, for every lovely message someone sent about the difference I was making, I’d get a cruel troll.”
The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ star admitted the bullying continued into her university years, with one boy on her politics course calling her a “‘Made In Chelsea’ ****” when she introduced herself, and the tutor didn’t step in.
She added: “Nothing happened. I bit my lip and tried not to burst into tears. I felt awkward, ugly and alone.”
Georgia, 23, has also taken the chance to pen a heartbreaking letter to her 14-year-old self, revealing the extent of the “painful experiences” at school and admitting she’s never figured out why it happened.
She wrote: “You’re still getting over some really awful bullying. You dealt with one of the toughest, most painful experiences imaginable, when that group of girls was so cruel that you ended up moving schools.
“You’ll never really understand what made them do that, or why they chose you as a target.”

Saoirse Ronan doesn’t often wear makeup

OHMYGOSSIP — Saoirse Ronan doesn’t wear a lot of makeup.
The 24-year-old actress has admitted that unless she’s working on a film or stepping out on the red carpet she sticks to a very minimal beauty routine – only using concealer and sometimes a small amount of foundation to balance out her oily skin.
In an interview with UK Vogue, she said: “I don’t wear a lot of makeup when I’m not at work. The only bit of make-up I use every day is concealer, under my eyes. I use By Terry, the stick one. That’s really good.
“I might wear a tiny bit of Chanel foundation – Perfection Lumière Velvet – because I get really oily skin. And then if I’m feeling foxy, red lipstick.
“The classic Chanel rouge. I like NARS reds as well. I don’t really use anything on my eyes anymore.”
The ‘Lady Bird’ star also shared the skincare routine she follows to control her oily skin and achieve a clear complexion.
She said: “I use an oil cleanser by Tatcha – they come in these beautiful boxes, which I love. So I use that in the morning and at night. Then I use a bit of vitamin C serum and a moisturiser – I like Aesop. And that’s it.”
As for dressing up, the ‘Hanna’ actress revealed that one of her favourite looks was during the filming of her 2018 film ‘Mary Queen of Scots’ and the blonde beauty admitted that she enjoyed wearing corsets during filming.
She said: “I did love all the Lady Bird looks actually. But Mary Queen of Scots was probably the most fun.
“We had gowns made out of denim and all of my stuff was chainmail and wood and metal … not that many jewels. It was all very cool.
“I actually quite liked wearing a corset, funnily enough. They made them especially for us.”

War veteran Cassidy Little joins Coronation Street

OHMYGOSSIP — A war veteran is to join ‘Coronation Street’.
Former Royal Marine medic Lance Corporal Cassidy Little, who lost his right leg below the knee during a tour of Afghanistan in 2011, will play a Paralympic champion who acts as a mentor to Jack Webster – played by Kyran Bowes – after he lost his leg when he was struck down with sepsis.
Cassidy – who was shooting a movie in Bulgaria when his agent rang to speak to him about the part – said: “When you get calls like that, you don’t think you’re going to get the role, but that doesn’t mean you’re not going to give 100 per cent during the audition tape.”
The 36-year-old star is set to star in six episodes of the ITV soap in the autumn, and he was left speechless when he landed the part after sending off an audition tape.
He added: “What do you say when you’re going to be on something that monumental?”
Cassidy – who was born in Canada – has been following Jack’s sepsis storyline, which saw him need his leg amputated after he contracted sepsis – a serious complication of an infection, also known as blood disease – and the war veteran’s alter-ego will aim to inspire Jack to “grab life by the horns”.
He told CBC’s ‘Here & Now’: “This is not secret, secret stuff – if you’ve been following the storyline, you know that Jack got sepsis. He’s a young boy, and he had his leg amputated below the knee.
“I’ve come in as a military buddy of another character and kind of train Paralympic athletes, and I’ve come in as the guy who grabs life by the horns and shakes really hard, and then shakes really hard, and then tries to rub that attitude off a little bit, by proxy, onto Jack.”
Cassidy is no stranger to TV after he won ‘The People’s Strictly for Comic Relief’ – a ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ charity spin-off – alongside professional dancer partner Natalie Lowe in 2015.

Love Island’s Wes Nelson set for Dancing On Ice

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ star Wes Nelson is set for ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The reality TV hunk – who finished fourth on the ITV2 dating show with Megan Barton Hanson – is said to be lined up for the figure skating show after impressing bosses with his audition.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: “Wes has boundless energy and he’s already displayed great rhythm on ‘Love Island’, so ‘Dancing On Ice’ execs thought he’d be a great choice for the series.
“He has a huge social media following and bosses know that a lot of ‘Love Island’ fans will be desperate to see how he does.
“It will be a viewing figure boost. He’s also a great sport so won’t mind donning sequinned costumes and showing off his body for votes.”
Wes won’t be the first former ‘Love Island’ star to slide onto the ice, as last year’s dating show winner Kem Cetinay finished fourth on the skating programme.
While Wes, 20, worked as an engineer before heading into the villa to find romance, he admitted after the experience that he was open to the possibility of staying in the world of entertainment.
He said at the time: “My old company have left the door open for me to return but I’m up for seeing what opportunities are available for now.”
And Wes and Megan, 24, revealed last month they are head-over-heels in love, with plans to tie the knot at some point.
When asked if the couple plan to get married, she replied: “If it keeps going like this, yeah one day.”
The pair made their romance official whilst in the villa, but Megan was agonising over her decision to ask the hunk to be her partner after they slept together that week.
Wes told Megan: “I am really, really starting to catch feelings for you. I don’t like saying it because its vulnerability and I’ve said it to people in the past.”
Megan replied: “You know I like you, it’s just hard for me to express how I feel. I act like I’m not bothered about things but I am.
“With you it’s different and I’ve never had this. I want to find someone I can leave with and have a future with, it’s just really hard saying it.”
