Amy Adams recalls butt grabs at Hooters

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Adams used to have customers “touch her ass” when she worked at Hooters.
The ‘Sharp Objects’ actress – who has eight-year-old daughter Aviana with husband Darren Le Gallo – is “relieved” she is “far, far removed” from her teenage years when she could barely make ends meet working in the US restaurant chain which requires waitresses to wear hot pants and show off their breasts in low-cut and tight T-shirts.
Asked what her worst job ever was, she told the new issue of Heat magazine: “As soon as I turned 18, I started working. My first job was at Hooters, a restaurant and bar where the waitresses wear shorts and very tight T-shirts. But I didn’t stay there very long – a lot of the customers believed that touching your ass was included in the service.
“Then, fortunately, I found a job at the Gap, where I could finally afford to buy everything I wanted with 50 per cent off.”
Now a Golden Globe-winning actress, the 44-year-old star says just because she has got to where she is, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have other “anxieties”.
She said: “I am relieved and grateful to be far, far removed from the days when I couldn’t pay my rent, but now I have other anxieties.
“I’m happy, but I am not so naive as to believe success allows you to escape all the pain and difficult moments that come with life.”
Amy has never been bothered by the spotlight and the only difference now is that she is careful about what she wears in public to avoid any embarrassing paparazzi pictures.
She said: “I don’t really think about it that much at all.
“The only thing that has changed in my life is that I have to think about how to dress when I got the supermarket and run errands like that.
“I don’t really like to worry about that stuff, but after getting caught wearing a T-shirt and jeans, I’ve learned my lesson!”

Thandie Newton admits to being ill-prepared for her Emmy success

OHMYGOSSIP — Thandie Newton wasn’t prepared for her Emmys success because she thought her “time was gone for awards”.
The 45-year-old British star won the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series gong for her performance as Maeve Millay in the HBO series ‘Westworld’, but Thandie has admitted to being ill-prepared for her big moment because she genuinely never expected to claim accolade.
Speaking after she collected her statuette at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Monday (17.09.18), Thandie told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “You’d think that I’d be a little bit prepared, but no, complete and utter shock. Looking at the category I was in, I mean, the best supporting actress, a supporting woman, the empowerment in all those roles, the inspiration … I’ve been playing Maeve for two seasons now, and I kind of thought that season one, but after that, you know, the time was gone for awards. But here I am!”
Thandie claimed the award ahead of a star-studded list of nominees, which also included Alexis Bledel, Millie Bobby Brown, Ann Dowd, Lena Headey, Vanessa Kirby and Yvonne Strahovski.
But the London-born actress admitted that she owes her success to her ‘Westworld’ co-stars, as well as the people who work behind the scenes.
Thandie – who previously received a BAFTA for her role in the 2004 movie ‘Crash’ – shared: “What I can’t wait for is to go back on set and to be with everybody from ‘Westworld’, because I just know how proud they are tonight and how thrilled they are for me.
“But I feel so thrilled for them because I could not have achieved any of it without the costume, the writing, the make-up, the production design, all the elements that go into the work that we do.”

My main goal is to always achieve this kind of success. This is what I am trying to do all of the time, and the last eight, nine, 10 years I think have gone pretty well. So I try to keep going like that.”

Asia Argento seeking ‘damages’ from Rose McGowan

OHMYGOSSIP — Asia Argento is now seeking “substantial damages” from Rose McGowan, after threatening her with legal action this week.
The 42-year-old actress was accused last month of paying Jimmy Bennett $380,000 in a settlement after he claimed she sexually assaulted him in 2013 when he was just 17 years old, and fellow actress Rose – who had become friends with Asia after they both accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual misconduct – later said she was “heartbroken” by the alleged scandal.
On Monday (17.09.18), Asia threatened the former ‘Charmed’ star with legal action unless she apologised for the “horrendous lies” Rose allegedly told about her in regard to the case, and on Tuesday (18.09.18), she claimed she was pressing ahead with the lawsuit.
Asia wrote on Twitter: “To @rosemcgowan. The 24hr deadline given to retract your recent false statements about me has now passed. I must inform you & @raindovemodel that I’ve instructed Mishcon de Reya to seek substantial damages for deception, fraud, coercion and libel. You will hear from them shortly. (sic)”
In her original threat, Asia gave Rose, 45, 24 hours to remove the statement she tweeted last month – in which she urged her friend to be “honest” about the allegations against her – or face “immediate” legal action.
She wrote: “Dear @RoseMcGowan. It is with genuine regret that I am giving you 24 hours to retract and apologise for the horrendous lies made against me in your statement of August 27th. If you fail to address this libel I will have no option other than to take immediate legal action. (sic)”
Rose’s statement claimed that Asia had confessed to sleeping with Jimmy in texts sent to Rose’s girlfriend Rain Dove, and alleged Asia “had stated that she’d been receiving unsolicited nudes of Jimmy since he had been 12.”
She added: “Asia you were my friend. I loved you. You’ve spent and risked a lot to stand with the MeToo movement. I really hope you find your way through this process to rehabilitation and betterment. Anyone can be be better- I hope you can be, too. Do the right thing. Be honest. Be fair. Let justice stay its course. Be the person you wish Harvey could have been.”
Rose later urged her girlfriend to go to the police about the alleged text exchange.

Jessica Simpson expecting third child

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Simpson is expecting her third child.
The 38-year-old actress and singer already has daughter Maxwell, six, and son Ace, five, with her husband Eric Johnson, but has now revealed the couple – who married in 2014 – are set to expand their brood once more as Jessica is pregnant with a baby girl.
Posting a picture on Instagram on Tuesday (18.09.18) of her two children surrounded by pink balloons – which revealed the gender of Jessica’s unborn baby – she wrote: “This little baby girl will make us a family of five. We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.”
The news comes after the ‘Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica’ star revealed earlier this year that she hadn’t ruled out the possibility of a third child, despite having previously claimed she’d had an Intrauterine device (IUD) fitted, which would prevent further pregnancies.
She said in April: “We always practice. But it would definitely have to be a miracle.”
In May 2017, Jessica insisted she wouldn’t be having a third child, after reports surfaced claiming she was already expecting.
She said: “I’m not pregnant. We got an IUD, nothing’s gonna get in that uterus. I have two beautiful children and I’m not having a third.”
Meanwhile, Jessica might not be the only member of the Simpson family expanding her brood in the near future, as her younger sister Ashlee – who has nine-year-old son Bronx with her ex-husband Pete Wentz, and three-year-old daughter Jagger with her current spouse Evan Ross – recently said she would like to have a third child soon.
When asked about the prospect of baby number three, the 33-year-old singer said: “It’s definitely soon … in the next year. Definitely in the next year would be nice.”

Michael Ball’s dog dies

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Ball’s dog has passed away.
The 56-year-old singer and actor took to Twitter on Tuesday (18.09.18) to confirm that his beloved pet pup Ollie – whom he dubbed as “handsome” and “loving” – has died.
The tweet – which did not confirm what caused Ollie’s death – read: “Yesterday we said goodbye to my handsome, noble, soppy, daft, loyal, loving and most beloved best friend. RIP Ollie (sic)”
Ollie was a Tibetan terrier, and had been Michael’s closest companion for over a decade.
In an interview given last year, the ‘Love Changes Everything’ hitmaker dubbed the late pooch as his “best friend”.
He said: “My best friend is Ollie, my dog. I can tell him anything. He’s a Tibetan terrier and I’ve had him for 12 years.”
Michael had also revealed previously that taking his beloved pet for a walk would be part of his “perfect Sunday”.
He added: “My perfect Sunday would be spent doing my radio show, because I love it, then going home and cooking a big Sunday roast for the family, walking the dogs before settling down to the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ results and something like ‘Victoria’ or ‘Downton Abbey’.”
Ollie’s passing comes just over a year after Michael lost his other pet dog Freddie, who died in March last year.
He confirmed the news on Twitter when he wrote: “Today we said goodbye to our little man. Heartbroken. RIP Freddie, you gave us so much joy. (sic)”
Freddie’s legs were tragically crushed in a car accident in 2013, and the ‘Both Sides Now’ singer forked out a small fortune to create “artificial limbs” for the injured pup, which saved his life.
Michael said at the time: “We thought we were going to lose Freddie. We took him to the brilliant vet Noel Fitzpatrick, who makes artificial limbs for animals. Now Freddie’s running around like a pup again. I think he might be up for winning Bionic Dog of the year!”

Lindsay Shookus ‘wants the best’ for Ben Affleck

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Affleck’s ex-girlfriend Lindsay Shookus “wants the best” for the star following his recent admission into rehab.
The 46-year-old actor entered rehab for alcohol addiction last month shortly after ending his year-long romance with the ‘Saturday Night Live’ producer, and sources have now said Lindsay “will always care” about her former flame’s health, despite them no longer being in a relationship.
An insider said: “Lindsay will always care about Ben’s health and want the best for him, but right now she’s focusing on herself, her work and her daughter. Lindsay has an awesome support system between her friends and family, and she’s been so grateful for all of the love in her life. The ‘SNL’ cast has been extremely supportive throughout all of this.”
In the wake of their split, 38-year-old Lindsay is said to be focusing more on her career, and hopes Ben – who has Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine, and Samuel, six, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner – will “take care of himself” going forward.
The source added to People magazine: “[Lindsay is] focusing on the ‘SNL’ season ahead and focusing on putting her family, work and friends first, after having focused on Ben for so long. She will always care about him, but wants him to take care of himself.”
Meanwhile, it was recently claimed and Lindsay and the ‘Justice League’ star had a “really good” relationship during their year together, but things got complicated when “distance” was involved.
A source said: “When it was good it was really really good. When they were in the same time zone and not focused on other things it was good. It became incredibly complicated with their families, with their jobs. He really liked her. He loved that she was smart, funny, opinionated. When they were together it brought him a bit outside of his comfort zone. She brought a bit of fresh air into his life that he needed.”

Kristen Bell praises fan with low self-esteem

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristen Bell has heaped praise on a fan who claimed she wasn’t as pretty as the actress.
The ‘Good Place’ star took to her Instagram comments on Tuesday (18.09.18) to inspire one fan who put herself down after praising Kristen for her “stunning” looks, as she urged the fan to stop “being negative”.
The fan wrote on one of Kristen’s pictures: “So mother f***ing beautiful. U are stunning unlike me. (sic)”
To which Kristen, 38, said: “Gurl don’t u dare. You got one time on this planet – don’t waste time being negative. You deserve all the love in the world. And I think your face is beautiful AF. Don’t u dare tell me I’m wrong.”
On top of making the woman feel good about herself, the ‘Frozen’ star also gave her “homework”, which entailed checking out an inspirational Instagram account to build up her body confidence.
Kristen added: “Here’s your homework. Follow @glennondoyle and watch all her stories. Read her book, Love Warrior. Smile more, because u are alive and wonderful. And loved. Xo. (sic)”
The motivational comments come after Kristen recently revealed she does what she can to instil confidence and self-esteem in her two daughters, Lincoln, five, and Delta, three, whom she has with her husband Dax Shepard.
She said: “It’s important to me to show my children that I care about my health and fitness enough to stay committed. So when I’m in their room with them, I’ll do squats. When they ask what I’m doing, I’ll say I’m getting my physical fitness in. And because they copy everything I do, the next time they pick up a heavy bag they’ll say, ‘I’m getting my workout in.'”
And although Kristen loves to workout, she insists its more about keeping her body healthy than it is about looking skinny.
She added: “To me, being healthy means feeling good about the choices I’m making, and most important, it’s about keeping fit mentally and physically. I’m constantly reminding myself it’s not about my thighs: It’s about my commitment and my happiness level.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bethenny Frankel is “going through an emotional storm” following the passing of her on-off boyfriend Dennis Shields.
The 47-year-old reality star was left heartbroken when her on-off partner – whom she was not in a relationship with at the time – was found dead at his Trump Towers apartment last month at the age of 51.
And whilst Bethenny has been throwing herself into her work providing relief for those affected by Hurricane Florence in order to take her mind off the events of the last month, she is conscious that she needs to make sure she isn’t “avoiding the grieving process”.
She said: “The work I am doing for hurricane relief is a good outlet, but I’m trying to not get too immersed and not avoid the grieving process and feeling. I am going through an emotional storm and must go through and not around it.
“People are suffering way more than I am. People have helped me get through my despair with their love and inspiration and now it is my turn.”
The ‘Real Housewives of New York’ star praised Dennis for supporting her work for hurricane relief after she previously helped out in the wake of Hurricane Maria and Hurricane Harvey last year through her B Strong Disaster Relief program, which is now helping with Hurricane Florence.
She added to People magazine: “He embraced and applauded everything I did and cheered me on from the sidelines.”
Meanwhile, Bethenny previously said she is “hard to breathe” following Dennis’ death, and admitted it has been “excruciating” not being able to have closure after his “sudden” passing.
Thanking her fans for their continued “support”, Bethenny tweeted: “It’s hard to breathe & I appreciate you giving me the space & support to try to do so. It’s excruciating-sudden death is no closure & constant ?s & memories. Our relationship is current so it’s painfully raw. Trying to stay healthy & move through it w tears & close friends. Xo (sic)”

Sally Field: I hadn’t spoken to Burt Reynolds for 30 years

OHMYGOSSIP — Sally Field “didn’t speak” to the late Burt Reynolds for “the last 30 years of his life”.
The 71-year-old actress recently said she was “flattered” to have been known as the love of Burt’s life before he tragically passed away earlier this month at the age of 82, but has admitted she and the ‘Deliverance’ actor hadn’t actually spoken for several decades.
Sally – who dated Burt for five years – said during an appearance on ‘The View’ on Tuesday (18.09.18): “He was a hugely important part of my life but for a very short period of my life.
“I really didn’t speak to him for the last 30 years of his life. I would feel him kind of reach out to me via the press. It was something he would do even when we were dating. He would speak to me about things he could call me on the phone about.
“He would do the ‘Today’ show and say, ‘I need to tell Sally…’ Well, okay! He will always be in my heart and in my history. I think at least he’s not hurting right now.”
The ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ actress met Burt in 1977 after the starred in ‘Smokey and the Bandit’ together, and although they were thought to have dated for five years, Sally admitted they were a couple for three years, before entering an on-and-off period for the final two.
Meanwhile, Sally recently said she was flattered that Burt referred to her as the love of his life, despite calling the late legend “complicated”.
Asked how she felt about the term, Sally said: “I was always flattered when he said that. But he was a complicated man.”
The actress also admitted their connection was “instantaneous”.
She added: “We’d known each other about three days, four days. It was instantaneous and four days felt like four years. You can see it in our faces. We were sort of, you know, deeply entangled. The nature of it wasn’t just, ‘Oh this is a love affair.’ There was some ingredient between us having to do with my care-taking and him needing to be taken care of.”

Will Smith praises Jada Pinkett Smith on her birthday

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Smith has praised his wife Jada Pinkett Smith as a “queen” in honour of her 47th birthday.
The ‘Girls Trip’ actress celebrated her birthday on Tuesday (18.09.18), and her husband and Hollywood star Will took to Instagram to share a loving tribute to his partner of over two decades.
Posting a series of snaps of the couple, including one of them asleep and one of them posing in tracksuits, the 49-year-old actor wrote: “Wow… 24 Birthdays together! Happy Bday, My Queen. Let’s Go Get 24 more. (sic)”
The couple’s 17-year-old daughter Willow also took to social media to share the love for her mother on her special day.
Singer and actress Willow shared a selfie of herself and her mother and wrote: “Happy Birthday Mama YOU’RE THA (sic)”
As of the time of writing, Jada and Will’s 20-year-old son Jaden is yet to publicly comment on the ‘Gotham’ star’s birthday.
Meanwhile, ‘Suicide Squad’ star Will recently revealed he will never divorce his wife – whom he married in 1997 – because he doesn’t think there’s anything she could do that would make him want to end their marriage.
He said: “We don’t even say we’re married anymore. We refer to ourselves as life partners, where you get into that space where you realise you are literally with somebody for the rest of your life. There’s no deal breakers. There’s nothing she could do – ever. Nothing that would break our relationship. She has my support till death and it feels so good to get to that space.”
And Jada made similar comments when she said she doesn’t pay attention to divorce rumours that often circle the pair.
She said: “I’m just, like, keep [the divorce rumours] coming. Here’s the thing about Will and I – [we] are family. That is never going down. It’s just not. Ever.
“We are family. Take out all that whole marriage/relationship crap, at the end of the day, Will and I are family. I am going to hold him down, doesn’t matter. All that relationship and what people think ideas of a husband, partner and all that, man, whatever. At the end of the day, that is a man that can rely on me for the rest of his life, period.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Serena Williams feels “proud” of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex after she launched a cookbook in support of the victims of the Grenfell tragedy.
The 37-year-old royal has written the foreword to a recipe book from cooks at the Hubb Community Kitchen, which is based in London, and the duchess has revealed she felt “connected” to the Community Kitchen because it offers a “place for women to laugh, grieve, cry and cook together”.
Responding to the announcement, the Duchess’ good friend Serena wrote on her Twitter account: “I used to call you Meghan (and I still do) but dear Duchess of Sussex your first project “Together” a cookbook bringing women of all cultures together. I could not be more excited about it and proud of you.
It’s beautiful – diversity, inclusivity, coming together in grief or joy (sic)”

It features 50 recipes by women whose community was affected by the fire in the Grenfell tower block in London, which killed 72 people in June last year.
The long-term ambition behind the project is to provide support for the Grenfell families and others within the community.
The duchess has played a hands-on role with the book, helping the group to find a publisher, and then providing legal support through the Royal Foundation charity.
The Royal Foundation is also responsible for ensuring that the proceeds from the sale of the book go directly to the Hubb Community Kitchen and other similar projects.

Emilia Clarke had ‘crisis’ over Game of Thrones

OHMYGOSSIP — Emilia Clarke had an “existential crisis” when she wrapped filming on ‘Game of Thrones’.
The 31-year-old actress stars as Daenerys Targaryen in the hit HBO fantasy drama series, and has admitted she found it “bittersweet” when the cast and crew wrapped filming on the show’s eighth and final season – which is due to air in 2019 – earlier this year.
Speaking to E! News alongside co-stars Nathalie Emmanuel and Jacob Anderson at the 2018 Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday (17.09.18), Emilia said: “It’s bittersweet, we’ve all done a lot of crying. There’s been a lot of crying on set.”
To which Nathalie added: “The week after we finished was a really weird week. I just felt kind of disjointed and a bit, like, ‘Ohhh.’ What does my life mean without ‘Game of Thrones’?”
Emilia then said she felt a “genuine” crisis set in when she realised she wouldn’t be heading to the set of the fantasy show ever again.
She said: “Genuine! Existential crisis, like, legit, where you’re like, ‘What?'”
Meanwhile, Emilia visited the set of ‘Game of Thrones’ for one final time back in June, when she took to Instagram to share a picture of herself laid down against some flowers and bid her farewell to the iconic show.

“It’s been a trip @gameofthrones thank you for the life I never dreamed I’d be able to live and the family I’ll never stop missing #lastseasonitis (sic)”

Julie Chen confirms The Talk exit

OHMYGOSSIP — Julie Chen has confirmed she is leaving ‘The Talk’.
The 48-year-old TV presenter was rumoured to be stepping down from her role in the CBS talk show after her husband, CBS’s former chairman and CEO Les Moonves, left the corporation following sexual misconduct accusations made against him in July, and in a video message released on Tuesday (18.09.18), Julie confirmed the news.
In the video – which was recorded on the set of ‘Big Brother’ – Julie said: “I have been at ‘The Talk’ since the day it started nine years ago and the cast, crew and staff have become family over the years. Right now, I need to spend more time at home with my husband and our young son, so I’ve decided to leave ‘The Talk’. … I want to thank you, the viewers, for allowing me into your home every day. It is a privilege that I will forever be grateful for.”
Julie then fought back tears as she thanked the show’s crew, including fellow co-hosts Sara Gilbert and Sharon Osbourne.
She continued: “To Sara and Sharon, we have been together since day one at the ‘The Talk’. I spent every day with you both. I will always treasure our friendship, great parenting advice from both, and memories and laughs and private jokes that the three of us have shared. We are the original three musketeers. I love you all. And I know this show and the sisterhood it stands for will live on for many more years. You ladies got this, and I cannot be more proud to call you my friends.”
CBS has also confirmed the news of Julie’s departure in a statement.
It read: “For eight seasons, Julie Chen has co-hosted ‘The Talk’ with incredible energy, grace and professionalism. Her talents played a big role in our successful launch of CBS’ first network daytime talk show, and in the series growth into an Emmy Award-winning broadcast. All of us here have tremendous appreciation for the dedication and passion she brought to the show every day and for her generous role as an ambassador for CBS Daytime. We are grateful for her many other contributions, respect her decision and wish Julie all the best in everything she does.”

Kelly Clarkson confirms talk show plans

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Clarkson is “very excited” to be launching her own talk show.
The ‘Breakaway’ singer has confirmed reports she has shot a pilot for her own daytime programme and she admitted she’s going to be using her upcoming tour to prepare for her new job.
Explaining ‘The Voice’ winner Brynn Cartelli will be joining her on the road, she told Jimmy Fallon: “She’s opening, and Kelsea Ballerini. We’re starting in January.
“I’m doing this thing to kind of prep for my talk show that’s gonna be next year, but we’re doing a live segment during my show, so every night on tour we’re going live online…I’ve got a lot of jobs, Jimmy!”
The surprised ‘Tonight Show’ host said: “This is a big announcement because this has not been announced yet…”
Kelly replied: “Well, it’s been leaked! I’m very excited.”
The programme will air before ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ but the 36-year-old star promised it will be “a little different” to anything that’s been shown on TV before.
She said: “We sing every day on the show and do this fan request thing. It’s fun. In the pilot, I got people to sing with me and do little skits,” she added. “It’s very musical; it would be weird if it wasn’t!”
While Kelly – who has children River, four, and Remy, 21 months, with husband Brandon Blackstock – is excited to do more of her “favourite pastime”; talking, she needs to learn to listen before taking on hosting duties.
She admitted: “I didn’t think I’d ever do it, but we shot the pilot. I love talking; it’s like my favorite pastime.
“It’s hard for me to shut up, though. You have to listen to people who come on your show, and I just keep talking. That’s the only thing I’ve got to work on: listening.”
