Kym Marsh welcomes ‘inspirational’ Cassidy Little to Coronation Street

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh has praised “inspirational” Cassidy Little after he joined ‘Coronation Street’.
The ‘Corrie’ actress – who plays Michelle Connor on the ITV soap – says the war veteran, who lost his right leg below the knee during a tour of Afghanistan in 2011, has been made “very welcome” on the ITV soap’s set.
She said: “He’s playing a Paralympic champion. I bumped into him in the green room and he seems like such a nice guy – he’s inspirational.
“It was a pleasure to meet him and he’s very welcome on set.”
Kym also praised the former Royal Marine medic – who will play a Paralympic champion who acts as a mentor to Jack Webster (Kyran Bowes) after the character lost his leg when he was struck down with sepsis – for being so “positive” following his life-changing injury.
Writing in her OK! magazine column, she added: “He’s so positive and doesn’t let anything get him down.
“It’s wonderful that he’s moved into acting after something so awful happened to him.”
Cassidy, 36, recently described the soap as “monumental” and said his alter-ego will aim to inspire Jack to “grab life by the horns”.
He said: “This is not secret, secret stuff – if you’ve been following the storyline, you know that Jack got sepsis. He’s a young boy, and he had his leg amputated below the knee.
“I’ve come in as a military buddy of another character and kind of train Paralympic athletes, and I’ve come in as the guy who grabs life by the horns and shakes really hard, and then shakes really hard, and then tries to rub that attitude off a little bit, by proxy, onto Jack.”

And StudioPOW have promised a number of “legendary comics and actors” will be involved in the “laugh-out-loud” comedy.
They wrote on their website alongside a photo of the duo: “We had a fantastic meeting in our Soho offices with the legends that are Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer.
“There wasn’t a dry eye in the house but we weren’t crying. Time was spent reading aspects of the script and discussing cast.
“What should have taken 2 hours took 4 due to the ongoing laughter breaks!
“We are hugely excited at the potential of this laugh-out-loud comedy. We already know that it will be packed full of legendary comics and actors.”
They finished the blog post by promising further casting announcements in the coming weeks.
We will have more announcement of cast in the coming weeks.

Jeff Brazier has ‘won’ at family life

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeff Brazier thinks his marriage shows he and Kate Dwyer have “won at becoming a family”.
The 39-year-old TV star tied the knot with his long-term partner earlier this month, and he is thankful the PR director has brought “stability” to his life and that of his two sons, Bobby, 15, and 14-year-old Freddy, who he had with late former partner Jade Goody.
He said: “I’m so happy to marry Kate, who has brought so much stability to my life. This isn’t just any wedding, this is a really special one. It doesn’t just represent Kate and I putting rings on each other’s fingers. It represents the fact that we won at something really tricky. We won at becoming a family.”
And Jeff has praised Kate for making his family “complete” and helping his sons feel like they belong.
He added in an interview with HELLO! magazine: “Before it was just three boys rattling around in a house on our own, trying to get through life. Then Kate came along and worked so hard at making us complete. She hasn’t just completed one person, she’s completed a family and given three boys a real sense of belonging.”
Bobby and Freddy – who were joint best men at the ceremony at the luxurious Tivoli Carvoeiro resort in Portugal – couldn’t be happier with their father’s choice of partner.
Freddy said: “”Dad always said, ‘I want to get married one day – I want to find a nice girl.’ And he’s found that girl who he’s going to live with for the rest of his life.”
Bobby added: “One of the biggest things for Fred and I is that Kate makes our dad happy. Which is so special and reassuring for us to see.”
Kate praised Jeff as an “incredible” father to the boys and admitted seeing him with his sons reassures her about their future together.
She said: “His outlook in life is everything I ever wanted in a partner.
“He has been so patient with me on this journey, he is loyal and I trust him implicitly. I have also had the privilege of seeing first-hand what an incredible job he has done raising the boys, so I know I couldn’t ask for a better father for any future children we might have.”

Woody Harrelson nearly turned down Solo: A Star Wars Story

OHMYGOSSIP — Woody Harrelson was all set to turn down his role in ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ until he found out Phoebe Waller-Bridge was in the movie.
The 57-year-old actor – who portrayed Tobias Beckett in the standalone Han Solo film – has admitted if it wasn’t for the fact the 33-year-old actress had the part of droid L3-37 in the film, he would have passed on the job because he had planned to have some time off with his family.
Revealing he is a huge fan of his pal Phoebe’s BBC Three comedy series ‘Fleabag’, he said: “Oh god, I just love Phoebe.
“She is just such a delightful, fun and uplifting friend.
“A friend of mine told me about ‘Fleabag’ and I watched it all. I love it.
“Love it! There aren’t many episodes and I wish there were more.
“Luckily she is doing another season.
“I was really debating doing this film and, in fact, I actually turned it down at first because I had been on such a long string of work and I just wanted to be home with my family.
“Thankfully I ended up doing it because I now can’t imagine not knowing Phoebe.”
Woody also revealed that the cast had a karaoke battle one weekend.
The ‘Venom’ star revealed the antics he and his colleagues, including Thandie Newton, Emilia Clarke, Phoebe and Donald Glover, got up to in their downtime.
‘Game of Thrones’ star Emilia, 31, invited them all around to her house for a sing-a-long one evening, and Woody recalled how Donald – who is also a rapper under the name Childish Gambino – blew them away with a rendition of a Prince song.
Asked if there was much socialising with his co-stars, he told the Metro newspaper: “Well, I was really good buddies with Thandie but I got on great with everybody.
“We spent a lot of time together in the day, so for pretty much everybody there was no socialising during the week, but we would get together on the weekends.
“We had a karaoke session one time at Emilia’s house.
“Me and Phoebe did some duet and I thought we were all doing great, then Donald started singing some Prince song and I was like, ‘Oh my god, now I know why they call these guys the professionals.’
“None of us would follow that.”

Take That enjoy wine and cheese after shows

OHMYGOSSIP — Take That have put their partying days behind them as they admit they enjoy the odd beer or wine and cheese after gigs.
Gary Barlow and Howard Donald – who are joined by Mark Owen in the current line-up of the ‘Back For Good’ group – have revealed what the band get up to after performing to arena-sized crowds nowadays – and it’s much more refined than in the 90s.
Gary, 47, spilled: “I like a drink after a gig, because at some point you’ve got to start coming out the other side.
“You’re performing in front of 12,000 people who are going crazy for two hours, so it’s difficult for me to come back and go to the hotel room.
“There’s a little team of us who will go to the bar and I like a glass of wine after a gig to help me come down slowly.”
Whilst Howard, 50, says he likes to deal with the “come down” after an adrenaline-pumped show by nibbling on a savoury treat to soak up the booze.
He added to the Metro newspaper that he has: “A few beers … then cheese and biscuits to soak it up.”
He quipped: “It’s so rock ‘n’ roll, isn’t it?”
Earlier this year, Gary revealed he was on a health kick for his solo 47-date UK tour, and limited the number of drinks he had after gigs because he was knocking back at least four alcoholic beverages the last time he was touring with Take That on their ‘Wonderland Tour’ in 2017.
He said at the time: “I’m trying not to drink, if I’m honest, because I’m a bit of a devil.
“I like a drink, you see.
“Usually when you come off stage it feels like such a celebration, as you’ve been sweating and running round for two hours, I like to start to wind down and have a drink.
“But I’ve got to keep my eye on that as all of a sudden I realise I’m having four drinks instead of just one, so I’m just trying to be careful.
“It’s 47 dates so I just want to make sure I get on there every night and I’m fit and healthy.
“I’m 47 now and there comes a point in your life you’ve got to look after yourself.”
Take That have just announced their Greatest Hits tour to mark their 30th anniversary as a band and have also re-imagined their hits for the new LP ‘Odyssey’.
Gary says that former members Robbie Williams, 44, and Jason Orange, 48, are still included as much as possible on the record.
He admitted: “It just feels like an end of a chapter.”

The ‘Gone Girl’ actress was joined on the catwalk by Ashley Graham, socialite Lady Kitty Spencer – who is the niece of the late Princess Diana – and iconic supermodels including Eva Herzigova, Helena Christensen and Carla Bruni.
Model-turned-actress and muse for the fashion house Monica Bellucci also featured in the show, while it was a family affair for

Bodyguard creator hints at 3 more series

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Bodyguard’ creator Jed Mercurio has teased plans for another three series of the show.
The thrilling BBC One drama came to a nail-biting conclusion on Sunday night’s (23.09.18) finale when personal protection officer David Budd – played by Richard Madden – discovered who killed home secretary Julia Montague (Keeley Hawes), and the 52-year-old screenwriter hinted there could be three or four seasons if a second is commissioned.
He said: “We have been very fortunate with the success of series one.
“It’s probably fair to say we would probably approach any thoughts of a second series with the idea that it would create an opportunity for a third or fourth.
“We do feel very privileged and fortunate that there’s been such a response that it gives us that opportunity to at least think about doing more.”
Should ‘Bodyguard’ be confirmed for a second series, Jed admitted he will not be able to start work on a follow up until mid-2019 at the earliest, because he is busy filming the next series of ‘Line of Duty’.
He added: “We’re going to be shooting right up until a few days before Christmas and doing all our editing early in the New Year so I’m full-time on ‘Line of Duty’.”
‘Bodyguard’ came in for early criticism during the first few episodes of the series after protection officer David slept with home secretary Julia, but Jed admitted intimacy between the characters was justified because it “complicated the thriller”.
He added to The Sun newspaper: “It was part of an editorial process that all of us who were involved in the production discussed.
“And the value of that particular story strand was always that it complicated the thriller.
“That it created division of loyalty and opportunities for either increasing trust or increasing mistrust.
“So from that viewpoint, it felt like it was the right ingredient to add in to the drama.”
Ahead of the show’s finale, speculation was rife that Keeley’s alter-ego – who died halfway through the series – would turn up alive in the conclusion, but it wasn’t to be.
Budd’s boss Lorraine Craddock (Pippa Haywood) turned out to be corrupt, and terrorist Nadia (Anjli Mohindra) admitted she built the bomb which killed Julia.

Adwoa Aboah claims shaving her head was liberating

OHMYGOSSIP — Adwoa Aboah claims shaving her head made her “let go of a few things”.
The 26-year-old model admitted that the choice to lose her locks was a “nerve racking one” and though she was advised against doing it by her agent, she found the extreme style change liberating.
In an interview with British Vogue, she said: “Shaving my head was pretty nerve-racking once I’d done it. I was a bit nervous to show anyone and was like, what if everyone hates it and then I’ve already done it?
“And I hadn’t told my agent at the time – actually they told me not to do it but I did it anyway! But it felt really good, it felt like I’d let go of a few things.
“And also I didn’t have the angst of worrying about fitting it and about scraping my hair back and making it look perfect all the time when I should have just let it be what it was.”
The founder of ‘Gurls Talk’ also revealed that she has an “on/off relationship’ with her beauty routine as her skincare regime changes all the time, but she always includes cleansing and face masks.
She said: “I have an on/off relationship with my skin but I’m pretty militant with it because it changes all the time. Stress, flying, pollution.
“Always a good old wash, a mask maybe twice a week and then serum, every morning and every night.
“I like Barbara Sturm. They do this one where they take your blood and take bits out of it and mix it with a cream.
“My mum, to this day, always makes sure I take off all my make-up before bed. And I do, always.”

Robbie Williams has X Factor bet with Louis Tomlinson

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams has placed a huge bet with Louis Tomlinson that his Groups will do better than the Boys on ‘The X Factor’ after the categories were confirmed.
The ‘Angels’ hitmaker has joked he is even “more excited” than the Groups to be paired up with his category, and he is so confident they will do well in the competition that he has challenged fellow show judge Louis to a big wager.
He said: “They’re mega excited, I think I might be more excited than them … I’m very, very happy and I’ve got quite a bit of money with Louis Tomlinson, that he thinks his acts are going to get further than my acts.
“That’s not going to happen. Let’s win this thing.”
He added: “I wanted the boys, get in. The variety is important.”
Robbie’s wife and fellow judge Ayda Field has been vocal throughout the series about wanting the Overs category – and she was delighted to get her wish.
She said: “I have said from day one that I want the Overs. I will never live it down with my husband if I do worse than him, I’m taking these guys to the championship.
“What the boys don’t know is, I’m the most competitive human on that panel. We’ve got this.”
Simon Cowell, who has the Girls, added: “I’d be happy with the Girls … you’ve all got a shot here, this is probably the best girls category we’ve had for a long, long time. Let’s make it amazing.”
The show’s controversial Six Chair Challenge will make a return on Saturday (29.09.18), and each of the judges has one Guaranteed Safe Seat to give away.
This means that should a panellist really like an act in their own category they can press a golden X which will act as a Safe Seat.
If this is pressed for an act they will automatically progress to the Judge’s Houses stage of the competition.

Sanaa Lathan believes ‘natural hair is beautiful’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sanaa Lathan believes “natural hair is beautiful”.
The 47-year-old actress admitted her profession shook her self-confidence because she often got feedback after auditions asking her to change her locks to look “acceptable” and claimed Hollywood casting agents have been “victims” of “society conditioning” oer standards of beauty.
She said: “I grew up confident and secure in myself — and then I became an actress. When I’d go to auditions, I’d literally get feedback saying, ‘She’s the best actress, but can she make her hair look more like this girl?’
“That girl, of course, would have long curly hair down her back. In other words: “acceptable” black hair. Hair that, in order for me to get, I’d have to wear a wig or a weave. All the people giving the jobs in Hollywood thought that was more beautiful. They’re all victims of our society’s conditioning on beauty standards too.”
Sanaa – who shaved her head for her role in Netflix drama ‘Nappily Ever After’ – insisted natural hair “should be an option” for women as wigs and weaves are “hot and uncomfortable” and the star believes it’s liberating to “give them up”.
She said: “Honestly, after 20 years of wearing weaves and wigs, I got tired of them. There’s a kind of a freedom that comes with giving them up–and not just a mental freedom but also a physical freedom. It’s hot and uncomfortable to wear wigs or a weave. That’s not to say that I’ll never do it again because I know I will.
“But one of the main messages I want to get across to women is that it’s not that you should only have natural hair. It’s that natural hair is beautiful, and it should be an option.”
However, despite her decision not to use hairpieces, she admitted there are still days she doesn’t “feel pretty” because of her shaved head.
She added to America’s Glamour magazine: “That’s the crazy thing, even despite all this, I know I’m still conditioned around beauty standards. I’ll still have days when I don’t feel pretty because I don’t have hair. I know it doesn’t make sense. I’ll start daydreaming about getting a weave, or think about putting on a wig. I actually have a bunch of wigs in my closet. I figured after I shaved my head for the show that I’d be wearing them a lot. But it’s been a year, and I haven’t once.”

Simon Cowell pulls out of best friend’s wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell pulled out of his best friend’s wedding at the last minute.
The ‘X Factor’ boss was meant to be his pal Nigel Hall’s best man at his nuptials over the weekend, but TV presenter Bradley Walsh was forced to take over the big responsibility a few days before because he said he was too busy to attend.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Bradley referenced Simon in his speech and said that he only RSVPed that he wouldn’t be coming three days before.
“Nigel was upset that Simon couldn’t make it. They’ve been friends for a long time so he really wanted him there.”
The 58-year-old music mogul reportedly told Nigel – the Global Head of TV for Syco – that he was tied up in Los Angeles with the new series of ‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions’ but his partner Lauren Silverman would still attend.
An insider explained: “Simon told him that his schedule for filming changed at the very last minute and there was nothing he could do, so Lauren flew in alone.”
The wedding was held at London’s Claridge’s Hotel and saw the likes of Simon’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ co-judge Amanda Holden and Cheryl Tweedy attend.
Simon was no doubt looking forward to the wedding as he’s been working like a “man possessed” recently due to his busy TV schedule in the UK and US.
A source said: “Initially some pals said he’d told them he was too ill to attend but later it transpired it was a schedule clash.
“He’s working like a man possessed at the moment. He’s just done ‘X Factor’ judges houses and also America’s Got Talent. He could do with a break.”

Sid Owen is ‘praying’ for Danniella Westbrook after womb cancer diagnosis

OHMYGOSSIP — Sid Owen is “praying” for Danniella Westbrook after she revealed she’s battling womb cancer.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star – who worked closely with the actress on the soap in the 90s – is devastated by the 44-year-old television personality’s recent diagnosis but is hopeful that she’ll be able to get through it because she’s a “strong girl” and has already battled “worse.”
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: “I’m gobsmacked. Wish her well. She’s a strong girl and had to battle worse. My prayers are out for her and her family.”
Danniella is set to have a hysterectomy – a procedure to remove the uterus and sometimes the cervix, ovaries, fallopian tubes and other surrounding structures – in three weeks’ time but, in the meantime, is awaiting test results to find out whether the cancer has spread to other parts.
She said: “I’ve always said I am not scared of dying. But when the doctor said, ‘You have cancer’, straight away my thoughts turned to Jade [Goody] and that I don’t want to die. I know I need to fight. After what happened with Jade I was frightened to talk to anyone about my cancer at first. She was my friend and what happened was so awful. There is part of me that thinks I would rather just be ill and not know about it – to just get on with life.
“But then I thought about the kids and I thought that is a selfish way to be. I’ve tried to commit suicide before but getting this diagnosis has made me realise I don’t want to die. I want to live and sort out my health. I know I have to fight, I know I have to get up and battle it.”
The actress – who has kids; Kai, 21, and Jody, 16 – watched her mother go through the same ordeal when she was 15 years old but is hopeful because she managed to beat it.
She explained: “My mum had the same cancer when I was 15. I’m 44 now and she is still here. Her treatment was on the NHS and it worked. They are taking me in in three weeks for a full hysterectomy. Before they take it out they won’t know to what extent the cancer has grown.”
Danniella hasn’t had the easiest of times over the past few years as she lost her septum in 2000 due to her excessive use of cocaine and then sunk into deep depression in 2016 after she developed the serious bloodstream infection septicaemia – which, if left untreated, can lead to life-threatening sepsis – in the roof of her mouth following botched dental work.

Mary J. Blige being sued for trashing mansion

OHMYGOSSIP — Mary J. Blige is being sued for allegedly trashing a mansion she rented.
The 47-year-old rapper may have to cough up $58,000 after her former landlord filed legal documents last week claiming she and her now-ex-husband Martin ‘Kendu’ Isaacs failed to pay on time and left the property in Beverly Hills, California, with $16,000 damages and $30,000 in missing assets.
The then-couple started renting the home for $25,5000 a month in May 2015 and slapped down a $51,000 security deposit at the time.
Then they requested to extend their lease in April 2016 – agreeing to the rent being increased to $27,000 a month – but they allegedly started withholding their payment from August to November and were later kicked out of the house.
According to the documents, obtained by The Blast, the pair left the home with holes in the walls and a broken garage door – amounting to damages worth $16,058.78 – as well as allegedly stealing audio equipment worth $31,052.52.
The ‘Family Affair’ hitmaker reportedly agreed to forfeit their $51,000 security deposit and pay out a further $27,000 to cover the damage and stolen goods.
However, the landlord – Golden Venus LLC – has claimed they failed to pay out.
Mary and Martin – who split in July 2016 following 14 years of marriage – officially divorced in June this year but details of their separation are not known.
Previously, Mary claimed she was “stronger” than ever since splitting from Martin, and said she is embracing the “positive” aspects of her situation.
She said: “I learned that I’m really stronger than I even knew because there is a lot of hell taking place, too, right now. But I am living. I am not a petty person. I let the positive overtake me so that all of the positive doors can open and the positive can come in. I’m stronger and wiser.”

Eric Clapton’s sports car to go on sale

OHMYGOSSIP — Eric Clapton’s former sports car is set to go on sale next month.
The 73-year-old singer’s Mirabeau Blue right-hand drive 2004 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti F1 is expected to fetch between £55,000 and £75,000 when it goes on sale through H&H Classics at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford, on October 17.
The plush vehicle took seven weeks to build in 2004 and is fitted with red brake callipers, rear parking sensors, heated front seats, Scuderia enamel wing shields, passenger airbag off system, leather headlining and dedication plate in silver.
Despite being 14 years old and having three owners, including Clapton, it’s only clocked up 29,700 miles and is said to be a “delight” to drive.
Mark Hawkins – who worked at Maranello Sales and who is a friend of Clapton’s – called the ‘Tears in Heaven’ hitmaker to ask him what he thought of the motor, to which he said he found it a large car to drive around Surrey but he thoroughly enjoyed using it to drive through France to his house in the South.
Damian Jones, Head of Sales at H&H Classics, said: “This is a car with all the fiery temperament and driving pleasure of a thoroughbred Ferrari, combining thrilling performance, agility and safety.
“But it also goes a step further, offering rear passengers two comfortable, roomy seats. The 612 Scaglietti was designed to combine the roominess of a grand tourer with the blistering performance of a sports Berlinetta.
“In terms of aerodynamics, this meant ensuring maximum performance despite the larger dimensions overall.”
Meanwhile, despite his highly successful music career and collecting cars in his spare time, Clapton recently admitted he would’ve been a bricklayer if he hadn’t fallen into showbiz because he would’ve followed in his grandfather’s footsteps.
He said recently: “[He would’ve been a] Bricklayer or plasterer. For a little while I worked for my grandfather. And he was very strict and very noble.
“He never took a raise. He worked for the same amount of money all his life.
“And he was a master craftsman. And that was very important for me to observe.
“That I could take that ethic anywhere.
“He worked me very hard. So, I always thought, Well, if music doesn’t work … ‘Cause I had the time of my life on that building site.”

EastEnders’ Danny Dyer admits he took his eye off the ball

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer admits things “weren’t going so well” a few years ago – but he is now back on track.
The ‘Football Factory’ star has portrayed Mick Carter on BBC One soap ‘EastEnders’ since 2013, but he took a short break from the show in early 2017, and has now admitted it can be “easy” to take your eye off the ball at times.
He said: “A few years ago it wasn’t going so well. If you break it all down, you’ve got to work hard.
“And you’ve got to take your job seriously and all that. You’ve got to keep your eye on the ball.
“Sometimes it’s easy to take your eye off it.”
But the 41-year-old star showed just how much he is back on track on ‘EastEnders’ earlier this month by scooping Best Soap Actor at the TV Choice Awards.
He added to the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: “It’s nice to get an award. It’s been a while for me. I’ve been watching other actors winning, which was disappointing.
“So to now win one, it’s just lovely. And the fact it’s voted for by the public is a nice bonus.
“I’m happy. People are loving Mick Carter. And for as long as people are loving him, I’ll keep playing him.”
In February 2017, the BBC confirmed Danny was taking a break from the soap, but insisted the rest period “was not enforced” by producers.
A BBC spokesman said: “Danny is on a short break from EastEnders. This was not enforced by bosses nor has he quit the show.”
While Danny is happy on the show, the same cannot be said for his alter-ego Mick, who is behind bars for the attempted murder of Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ) after the calculated character claimed his former pal shot him.
But the actor is “really pleased” to “delve into the darkness” of prison life in his latest storyline.
Danny recently said: “What I was really pleased about was we don’t just leave it at the gates, we actually delve into the darkness of what it’s like to try and survive in prison.
“I’m happy to be focused on that. With Stuart all bets are off, anything can happen, so it’s tied in lovely with that storyline.”

Chloe Zhao to direct The Eternals

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloe Zhao will direct Marvel’s upcoming movie ‘The Eternals’.
The 36-year-old filmmaker was snapped up by studio chiefs following the critical acclaim for her movie ‘The Rider’ as they worried she’d quickly land another job, and she’s now set to take the reins on their adaptation of Jack Kirby’s 1976 saga.
The story of ‘The Eternals’ takes place millions of years ago and sees the result of genetic experiments on humans conducted by the Celestials create super-powered individuals and villainous other beings known as the Deviants, who battled throughout history to become the ultimate race.
‘Ruin’ writers Matthew and Ryan Firpo have signed up to pen the script for the movie, while Marvel boss Kevin Feige will produce the picture.
Chloe initially met with Marvel Studios to talk about the possibility of directing Scarlett Johansson in a ‘Black Widow’ standalone movie, but the job eventually went to Cate Shortland.
Scarlett, 33, is reported to have pushed Cate’s credentials, having been impressed with her handling of the female-led historical drama ‘Lore’.
The ‘Black Widow’ movie – which will be Marvel’s second female-focused film after ‘Captain Marvel’ – is reportedly set before the events of the first ‘Avengers’.
Scarlett has frequently spoken out in support of making a standalone Black Widow, and in 2017, she revealed she’d talked to Marvel Studio boss Kevin Feige about the possibility.
She explained: “I’ve talked to Kevin Feige about it. We’re creatively really compatible. I think we both agree that the character is right for a standalone, it’s just a case of timing at this point for both Marvel and myself.”
There is currently no official release date for ‘The Eternals’ but the studio’s next release will be ‘Captain Marvel’ in March 2019.
