OHMYGOSSIP — Dominic Cooper is obsessed with “cleaning” and “hoovers”.
The 40-year-old British actor – who is dating ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ actress Gemma Chan, 35 – has confessed vacuuming is one of his favourite “hobbies” and after he has finished a long day of filming there’s nothing he likes more than making sure his carpets are dust-free, and he even wants to visit the Dyson factory.
Discussing his pastimes with The Jackal magazine, he said: “I sit in hotel lobbies late at night and play the piano – and see if I can get away with it. I also love to clean. I’ve just bought a new Dyson, I love his hoovers, I want to visit the factory.”
Dominic has just reprised his role as Sky opposite ex-girlfriend Amanda Seyfried – who is back as his on-screen wife Sophie Sheridan – in ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’.
The screen hunk – who dated Amanda, 32, for three years on and off after they made the first movie in 2008 – admits he could never have predicted the “impact” the first hit musical movie was going to have “on so many people”.
He mused: “The impact it’s had on so many people is mind-blowing.”
Dominic recently appeared on the big screen in ‘The Escape’ alongside ‘Quantum of Solace’ actress Gemma Arterton, 32, and he’s open to working with the film’s director, Dominic Savage again because he was allowed creative “freedom” to “improvise” the script.
He said: “I’d like to work on more projects like ‘Preacher’ or ‘The Escape’. I’m hoping to work with Dominic Savage again this year – we’re trying to put together another project at the moment. I really enjoyed improvising in ‘The Escape’. It gives me more freedom than when I work with a script.
“Certainly, I’d like my next project to be like these; parts that I can really immerse myself in, and come to understand.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Graeme Swann doesn’t want to be called a “shock sex symbol”.
The former England cricketer – famed for his ‘sprinkler dance’ celebration – is adamant he doesn’t want people to comment on his good looks while competing on BBC’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ because it’s a “back-handed compliment”.
Speaking to the Evening Standard newspaper, Graeme said: “I put a picture up as a joke. Then I looked at it properly and thought, ‘I’ve lost a lot of weight from dancing.’ The only thing I’m worried about is everyone calling me a ‘shock’ sex symbol. That is a back-handed compliment if I ever heard one.”
The 39-year-old sportsman – who is partnered with professional dancer Oti Mabuse, 28, for the competition – has seen his fitness level soar since he started training for the show but he’s slightly disappointed that his three children “recognise” him more from ‘Strictly’ than when he played for his country.
He explained: “I didn’t like cricket towards the end of my career because all the younger, fitter lads were coming through. But I’d be okay now, I think, with my dancing training. I really want it to cross over. The kids recognise me more from one episode of ‘Strictly’ than the 60 Test matches I played for my country.
“In some parts of the world, the cricket World Cup is bigger than the football World Cup. We have to inspire kids to get into it.”
Meanwhile, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ is known for its infamous “curse” – which sees celebrities leave their romantic partners in order to embark on a relationship with their professional dance partner – but Graeme is adamant him and his wife Sarah, whom he married in 2010, will be fine throughout the competition.
He said recently: “I’ve heard about the ‘Strictly’ curse, but it doesn’t bother me one bit. I simply can’t afford to get a divorce so it’s not going to happen.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Whittaker has promised herself she’ll binge watch ‘Doctor Who’ “from start to finish” once she’s stepped down as the female Time Lord.
The 36-year-old actress has been cast as the extraterrestrial being in the forthcoming series 11 of the sci-fi show and, although she’s banned herself from re-watching any of the previous episodes featuring other actors in the lead role to prevent herself from “nicking” their characterisations, she’s vowed to watch the programme from series 1 once she’s handed the baton over to someone else.
Speaking with BBC Radio 6 Music’s Breakfast Show host Shaun Keaveny on Thursday (27.09.18) morning, she said: “For me, I came into the audition process and I was like: ‘Look, I’ve seen it because you’d have to live under a rock if you haven’t but I was not brought up in a Whovian house so how much do I need to watch before my next audition.’
“And he [Chris Chibnall, the new ‘Doctor Who’ boss] was like: ‘You don’t have to! Do the work you need to do but essentially I want you to come at it with a fresh prospective and you’ll hopefully get everything you need to know from the sides and the episodes.’ But actually, I started to watch and then I thought do you know what I’m going to read it because you can read everything you need to know online, which is the wonders of modern technology, but when I started to watch it I was like: ‘Do you know what, I really want to feel in every moment that I’m really listening to the other actors and responding with as much natural instinct as I can rather than feeling like is this a character choice that I’ve potentially nicked from someone else …
“When you’re casting a new person you might as well use their fresh energy but when it’s over and I’m not it anymore and I hand over the baton, I’m going to watch it from start to finish in order … I’m as excited as everyone else to see the series because I haven’t seen it yet.”
Jodie is the first ever woman to play the time-traveller and, although she’s proud to make history, she’s predicted there will be many more female Doctors to come.
She explained: “I’ve got embrace this time and be really excited by it but it’ll be ace when it’s not a moment because there will be so many female Doctors to come but I will be that 80 year old going: ‘Hiya love, have I told you about this.’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Piper doesn’t feel special for working through her pregnancy.
The 36-year-old actress – who has sons Winston, nine, and six-year-old Eugene with ex-husband Laurence Fox – is currently expecting her first child with her rocker boyfriend Johnny Lloyd but she has continued to film for her directional debut ‘Rare Beasts’, in which she portrays career-driven single mother Mandy.
And she doesn’t want to be praised for acting whilst she is carrying her tot because she’s just in the same position as lots of other women.
She told The Times newspaper: “You’d be surprised how many people work through their pregnancies. It’s pretty standard. I haven’t ever sat down and made those decisions. It’s generally because I’ve been contracted to something.
“I was always going to film ‘Rare Beasts’ at this time, so you just sort of make space for everything. Most women tend to.”
It’s certainly nothing new for Billie, who was shooting scenes for ‘Secret Diary of a Call Girl’ during her first pregnancy – which required a body double for some of the sex scenes – and starring on stage in ‘Reasons to be Pretty’ during her second.
On her newest project, Billie’s team have had to rethink certain shots to hide her bump.
She said: “We have to be quite creative with shots, but we did a great deal of prep and we’ve been pretty loyal to our shot list.
“It might be a different story in a week, but at the moment we’re sort of moving through with most of our plans intact.”
Billie compared her energy and “sharp mentality” at present to Keanu Reeves’ alter-ego Neo – who could process data at hyper-speed – in sci-fi franchise ‘The Matrix’.
She laughed: “I’m in the ‘Matrix’ zone where you’re actually very sharp mentally and you have extraordinary energy. That’s what I’ve found throughout my pregnancies. Much further along it would be a very different story.”
Billie – who started dating former Tribes frontman Johnny in 2016 – has also reflected on lessons learned in the past, including her previous relationships with 5ive singer Ritchie Neville, as well as her Las Vegas wedding with radio star Chris Evans when she was just 18.
Despite growing up fast, the star feels her wild past has helped her later in life as she credits being focused as a mother and actress now to getting “quite a lot” of things “out of her system” at a young age.
She admitted: “I got quite a lot of things out of my system at quite a young age, which meant that I was able to focus when I became an actor.
“There’s a lot to be grateful for. I’m not sure I’d choose it for my own kids, but it taught me a great deal and it helped me to focus on what it is I actually want to achieve and not get seduced by the fame that comes with it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gina Rodriguez has done no wedding planning yet.
The ‘Jane The Virgin’ star recently got engaged to her boyfriend of two years Joe LoCicero but they’re yet to set the ball rolling and put some proper plans in place, although she’s pleased that her beau has some ideas of his own.
Speaking to E! News, Gina explained: “Joe has an opinion, so that’s good. He’s not just like a do-whatever. He has an opinion.”
However, the brunette beauty is hoping that she can rely on her future mother-in-law when they do eventually decide to book a date and venue.
She joked: “I have a great mother-in-law that I’m hoping will do the whole thing for me!”
The 34-year-old actress previously admitted that she’d be happy to elope to tie the knot because she is worried about offending people when it comes to picking her bridesmaids.
She said recently: “I feel like we’re gonna elope. It is so much drama! It’s a lot of work. There was a point where I was like, ‘Everybody arrange everything, I just wanna show up, I just wanna do it, I just wanna say, ‘I do’, I’m happy. And then I started hearing what they wanted to do, and I was like, ‘Hmm, I don’t know about that…’ and then I started hearing about how you like, offend people. Everything you do is offensive! You know, if people aren’t bridesmaids, they’re offended … It’s crazy!”
Joe popped the question to Gina over the summer – around the time of her birthday on July 30 – but she’s decided to keep the details of the proposal a secret.
She said: “That I’m gonna keep to myself, that I don’t think I’m gonna ever share that. Because there’s only so many things that you get to own when you become a public figure, because it’s the blessing and the curse of it, you know?
“The blessing is that you get to do what you love every day and you have so many incredible people supporting you.
“But then the little curse is that nothing’s a secret anymore, you don’t get to hold anything to yourself. So I’m gonna hold that one for as long as I can.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlotte Dawson is set to get her own reality TV show.
The ‘Ex on the Beach’ star – the daughter of the late comedian Les Dawson – has been in contact with television producers about allowing the cameras into her life in order to give fans an unfiltered look at what she gets up to for a new series.
Speaking to The Sun Online, she said: “I’m hopefully going to have my own show soon, following me around my crazy life. I’d love that. Everything goes so wrong, but so right with me. I want everyone to see my life. My crazy, emotional, rollercoaster life. I love people seeing that life and I want people to see my softer side as well. I want them to see me at home with my mum and how we cope without my dad. Stuff like that. I’m a very open person, a proper open book so I want people to see that. I don’t know what’s going on with it yet, but it’s in talks so hopefully, fingers crossed, that happens next.”
The 26-year-old beauty is also hoping that bagging her own show will encourage her boyfriend Matthew Sarsfield to put a ring on her finger sometime this year.
She explained: I’m gagging for a ring on this finger – it’s very, very lonely. We’ve just bought a house, so moving forward with that now.”
As well as talks for her own series, Charlotte is also being lined up for this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ alongside Olivia Attwood.
A source said recently: “The girls are both really sexy and bosses are hoping they’ll have what it takes to spice up the show. Both girls have loads of personality and would really get stuck into the jungle tasks.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Paul McCartney has penned a picture book for children.
The 76-year-old music icon has announced he is releasing the book ‘Hey Grandude’ which will tell the story of a “magical” gentleman called Grandude and the fun he has with his four grandkids.
Paul got the idea for the story when one of his eight grandchildren referred to him by the name.
Explaining the title, the former Beatle said: “I’ve got eight grandchildren and they’re all beautiful and one day one of them said to me ‘Hey Grandude!’ I said ‘What?’ and I thought, ‘I kind of like that,’ so from then on I was kind of known as Grandude.
“So I thought, you know what, it’s actually a nice idea for a book, so I started to write some stories, and then I talked to the book publishers and they liked what I was doing.”
Paul hopes the tome will resonate with grandparents everywhere and become a book that they read to their grandchildren.
He said: “He calls them (his grandchildren) ‘Chillers’. They love him and they go on adventures with him and he’s kind of magical, so you’ll see that in the book. I wanted to write it for grandparents everywhere – and the kids – so it gives you something to read to the grandkids at bedtime.”
The book is to be illustrated by Kathryn Durst, who is absolutely delighted to be teaming up with Paul.
She said: “I have wonderful childhood memories of my dad taking my siblings and me on exciting adventures, just like Grandude does in the book. I am very excited to be able to work with Paul McCartney on this project. It has been such a treat to collaborate with such an inspiring and accomplished artist. We both want to make an exciting and beautiful book that kids will want to read again and again!”
‘Hey Grandude’ will be published in September 2019.

OHMYGOSSIP — The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are to make an official visit to the county for the first time.
Prince Harry, 34, and 37-year-old Meghan were bestowed the titles by Queen Elizabeth II – Harry’s grandmother – after they wed on 19 May 2018 at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle and they will make their trip to Sussex, South East England, on October 3.
A statement released by Kensington Palace read: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will make their first official visit to Sussex on 3rd October. In West Sussex they will see the historic Sussex Declaration and open the University of Chichester Tech Park. In East Sussex they will visit the Royal Pavilion, the Survivors Network and Peacehaven Youth Centre.
“The Duchess of Cambridge will visit the Sayers Croft Trust Forest School and Wildlife Garden at Paddington Recreation Ground on Tuesday 2nd October.”
Following their visit to Sussex, the newlyweds will embark on their first royal tour, leaving Britain on October 16 and returning at the beginning of November meaning they will miss Harry’s father Prince Charles’ 70th birthday festivities.
In celebration of the milestone, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, is reportedly arranging a special concert and dinner at Buckingham Palace on October 25, although Charles’ actual birthday isn’t until November 14.
Harry and Meghan’s trip will include visits to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and the Kingdom of Tonga, and on the day of the concert they will be in Tonga.

OHMYGOSSIP — Keira Knightley’s husband has put his “life on hold” to care for their daughter so she can go to work.
The 33-year-old actress has praised her “amazing” spouse James Righton for taking time out from his music career with his band Klaxons to take on as many parenting duties as he can when it comes to looking after their three-year-old girl Edie, and when he’s not there, Keira feels “super lucky” to know there are others she can rely on.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: “He has been amazing. He’s been travelling with me since we had her.
“He’s largely put his life on hold to make sure that I’m still at work and that we’re keeping together as a family unit.
“I’m super lucky, I can afford child care. I have a wonderful nanny that has travelled with us as well. When she’s there, I feel completely safe that Edie is good. And my mum, whenever my husband can’t be there, has flown to wherever we are. They say it takes a village to raise a child – it takes a village to keep a woman at work as well. But if that’s where she should be then everybody is very supportive and it’s possible.”
Despite having a supportive family around her, Keira admitted it is “hard” juggling her career with motherhood and her latest movie, ‘Colette’, was even delayed because she was struggling to get enough rest.
She said: “It’s hard! She’s magnificent and she’s a lot of work.
“We actually delayed shooting [‘Colette’] by a year. Originally we were going to do it when she was one but sleeping has never been a thing she’s been that fond of. So we waited until she was two. And she still didn’t sleep but I was a bit more used to it by then.”
But the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star always wants there to be a “safe space” on set so she can find time to be with her daughter even on a hectic day’s filming.
She said: “I’ve tried to make sure when she’s very small that there’s been a safe place on set that she can come to for just half an hour, so that we touch base and we’re connected.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicki Minaj and Lewis Hamilton have fuelled speculation they are dating by sharing photos of them both together on vacation.
The ‘Barbie Tingz’ rapper and the 33-year-old Formula 1 champion were romantically linked together after they both attended the catwalk show for Lewis’ Tommy Hilfiger fashion line at New York Fashion Week.
Now the pair have posted pictures on their respective Instagram accounts of them enjoying a quad bike ride together on their recent trip to Dubai.
Alongside a selfie of the pair in helmets on their ride, Nicki wrote: “TTGDCaribbean tingz what I on. Me & Lewis gettin paper like what ink dry on. #Versace (sic)”, along with the flags for her native Trinidad and Tobago, and Grenada, a nod to the country Lewis’ parents emigrated to the UK from.
Whilst the Mercedes AMG Petronas driver posted a picture of them both gesturing two fingers in the vehicle as they pulled up by a dune, and captioned the image: “RidersTTGD (sic)”
Nicki – who broke up with fellow rapper Nas earlier this year – recently revealed she is in a new relationship, but isn’t putting any pressure on the romance as she had enjoyed being single.
The 35-year-old hip hop musician said when asked if she is seeing anyone: “[It’s] Fairly new. He’s been around for a couple weeks now. I’m just chilling. I’ve always been in a relationship my whole life. I was in a relationship since I was 15 years old. This is the first time that I’m single and I’m happier. I’m more free. I used to feel like I had to have a man, and I want every woman out there to know you absolutely don’t.”
So far, Lewis – who has been romantically linked with the likes of Gigi Hadid, Rita Ora and Rihanna since splitting from Nicole Scherzinger in 2015 – has maintained that has no time to look for love with his hectic racing schedule.
He said “My love life is non-existent. I’m a workaholic. I don’t have time for it. When you travel as much as I do it’s hard to keep up a relationship, so I’m of the mindset that I’m not going to do that until I’ve stopped and no longer have to be single-minded.”
Lewis – who hinted things could change if he met the right person – also revealed he would love to have a family one day, but only when he knows he could be “a good present dad” to any potential children.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner cried in a closet for “five minutes” the first time she met Justin Bieber.
The 22-year-old actress – who is best-known for her role as Sansa Stark in ‘Game of Thrones’ – has admitted to embarrassing herself in front of her celebrity crush after they were introduced by her fiancé Joe Jonas.
Recalling her first encounter with Justin at a friend’s house in Miami, Sophie shared: “I go upstairs and he’s sat there shirtless in this dark room getting a head massage. And I was like, ‘Oh my god! This is amazing!’
“So I was like, ‘Hi, nice to meet you, Sophie,’ played it cool, ran into the closet and like cried for five minutes.”
However, the awkwardness didn’t stop there for Sophie, who performed a strange hand gesture when she was properly introduced to Justin.
Sophie – whose moved involved provocatively waving her tongue – told ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’: “Justin goes to Joe, ‘Yo, Joe, I heard you got a new girl.’ And Joe was like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, there she is, she’s over there.’
“And I don’t know what came over me to do this, but I turned around and I was like, ‘Hi…'”
Sophie admitted that Joe, 29, has not let her “live it down” ever since.
But the actress is philosophical about the incident, saying Justin is probably used to fans doing strange things in his presence.
She said: “That can’t be the strangest thing that someone’s done to him.”
Meanwhile, Sophie recently admitted she is “excited” to become Priyanka Chopra’s sister-in-law.
Priyanka and Joe’s brother Nick Jonas confirmed their engagement in India in August, and Sophie couldn’t be happier to welcome the fellow actress into their growing family.

OHMYGOSSIP — Mavournee Hazel was “devastated” when she heard that Ryan Thomas had been wrongly accused of punching Roxanne Pallett on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The ‘Neighbours’ actress got to know the 34-year-old soap star really well earlier this year when he appeared on the Australian show as Rafael Humphreys, and she has admitted she was “heartbroken” when she learnt that he had been issued a warning by bosses of the reality show for play fighting with Roxanne.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Mavournee said: “When Ryan was here in Australia, he was living here with his girlfriend Lucy [Mecklenburgh]. She was very much a part of the cast as well and they became very friendly and comfortable with us very quickly. We don’t get the UK ‘Big Brother’ over here, so I first saw what was happening because Lucy was posting on her [Instagram] Story about it and going on morning shows to defend Ryan.
“We also would have had to be living under a rock not to see all of the articles about it. It was devastating, because we know Ryan. He’s one of the most gentle men I’ve ever met, so it was so heartbreaking.
“I felt so sorry for Lucy and Ryan’s family, because they couldn’t talk to him and let him know that everyone supported him.”
Roxanne – who called for Ryan to be removed from the house after accusing him of being a “woman beater” – later left the famous abode and admitted she had “got it wrong” after the nation backed the former ‘Coronation Street’.
Ryan was later crowned the winner of the show and will no doubt see his career fly to new heights, but Mavournee would like to see him back in Australia.
She explained “I love Ryan as a person.
“I didn’t really get a chance to work with him, so I would love for him to come back on the show so I could actually get some scenes with him. But who knows now – he’s the ‘Big Brother’ winner, who knows if we could get him back?”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dr Alex George is “surprised” by how many couples have split up since they’ve left the ‘Love Island’ villa.
The unlucky-in-love doctor – who came away from the summer series without a partner – is convinced the pressure of fame has driven a wedge between the pairs because they seemed so loved up on the show.
Speaking to the Metro.co.uk, he said: “Yeah I guess I am surprised couples have split, I wonder if it’s to do with the pressure and the intensity. You come out into this world that most of us aren’t used to, I feel the pressure and imagine if you were in a couple, you’d probably feel it more intensely. I can’t comment on any particular split but I wonder if that may have something to do with it.”
Since leaving the villa over the summer, Alex has appeared on ‘This Morning’ as its health advisor – due to his experience as an A&E doctor – and, rather than use his new celebrity status to promote fashion brands, he’d rather use his position to raise awareness of mental and sexual health.
He explained: “Basically coming out of the island was a huge change and at the moment I am trying to put my energy into having a positive focus on the campaigns around mental health and sexual health, those things I want to focus on.”
However, although he’s busy with work at the moment, the 27-year-old star is still keen to find love and is reportedly being eyed up to take part in the new series of ‘Celebs Go Dating’.
A source said recently: “Alex is desperate to find the right woman for him and thinks ‘Celebs Go Dating’ would be the perfect place for this to happen.
“He was jealous when he saw Eyal [Booker] was going on the show. He thinks the matchmakers would be able to line up the right woman for him.
“He likes natural looking women with lots to talk about and after failing to find the right woman in ‘Love Island’, he thinks Nadia and Paul could help.
“Bosses aren’t taking any more people on for this series and filming is underway but he’s desperate for a chance to get on the show and shine.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Barbra Streisand’s first album in two years is inspired by Donald Trump and the current political climate.
The ‘Woman in Love’ hitmaker is set to release ‘Walls’ on November 2, and the iconic performer has admitted the 2016 presidential election “gave her energy” and the desire to express her views on her first record since 2016’s ‘Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway’.
In an interview with Billboard, she said: “These times gave me energy.
“I felt so passionate about it. And music gave me that creative way to express my feelings.
“I’m very grateful to have music in my life, to be able to do that.”
The album started with the song ‘What’s On My Mind’, which was initially going to be the title of the album.
Though the song tackles immigration, the ‘A Star Is Born’ star says it also provides a positive message of “diversity being our strength”.
She explained: “It started with me thinking the album was going to be called ‘What’s On My Mind’.
“My last tour finished around the time of the last presidential election, and I needed to make another album.
“As the year started to unfold, I started to think more about recording an album that reflected what was going on in the country, because that was what was on my mind.
“I started to write down my thoughts, and that’s how ‘What’s On My Mind’ began the album; it sets up the album. That song is about our diversity being our strength.
“It’s a lot about immigration, but you try to make something that isn’t hitting the subject over the head.
“You want to create a universal language in the lyric that people can relate to.”
The ‘Don’t Rain On My Parade’ singer confessed that the song ‘Don’t Lie To Me’, which is available now, is directly aimed at Trump and her “protest” song.
She said: “It’s my protest, in a sense, about this unprecedented time in our history. What it says about America. We have to give up the Electoral College system, that’s what I know.
“I think people should vote for the president of the United Status – the popular vote should count. Give people a voice; one vote, one voice.”
Adding to the message of hope and peace, Barbra has also recorded a rendition of John Lennon’s classic ‘Imagine’, which she got permission from the late Beatle legend’s widow Yoko Ono for.
And there is even a cover of Burt Bacharach and Hal David’s pop standard ‘What The World Needs Now’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Clean Bandit’s star-studded second studio album features the likes of Ellie Goulding and Marina and the Diamonds.
The British pop trio – Grace Chatto and brothers Luke and Jack Patterson – have unveiled the track-listing for their second studio LP ‘What Is Love’, which sees the ‘Still Falling For You’ hitmaker on the song ‘Mama’, whilst Marina – who they released ‘Disconnect’ with last year – provides guest vocals on opening track ‘Baby’ with Latin star Luis Fonsi.
It also confirms the ‘Symphony’ hitmakers’ collaboration with Rita Ora on the song ‘Nowhere’ with US rapper KYLE.
Finnish star ALMA works her magic on ‘In Us I Believe ‘, Stefflon Don appears on ‘Last Goodbye’ and Craig David on ‘We Were Just Kids’.
Explaining the title of the record – the follow-up to their 2014 debut LP ‘New Eyes’ – which explores every aspect of love from “heartbreak” to “romantic love” and even “brotherly love”, Grace said: “The album looks at many different kinds and stages of love.
“We’ve been making it over three years, during which time we’ve all experiences love in our lives in different ways and, some of us, heartbreak too.
“Somehow this is all expressed in the music: brotherly love; family love; romantic love; crazy all-consuming love; the pain of love turning into something different or dishonest; and, of course, in ‘Rockabye’, unconditional motherly love. It explores the sacrifices we all go through for love and for each other, even when it is difficult. It’s been such an honour to write and record with all of the amazing singers and musicians involved in the record. We made the songs all over the world, mainly in North London and LA – some lines were even recorded in a bathroom in Uganda! We really hope that everyone will find tracks on this album to identify with and we can’t wait to share it with you.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Barbra Streisand has given Lady Gaga her seal of approval for her performance in the ‘A Star Is Born’ remake.
The 76-year-old Hollywood legend played Ally, the same part as Gaga in the 1976 version of the film, and though she hasn’t watched the remake all the way through, what she has seen she likes very much.
Praising both Gaga, 32, and the late Judy Garland’s turn in the 1954 movie, Streisand told Billboard: “I haven’t seen the full cut, but it’s very good. Every time that film is made it’s a success. I loved Judy Garland’s version, I like this one a lot, and I liked mine.”
The ‘Meet the Fockers’ star’s heaped praise will no doubt be music to Gaga and her co-star Bradley Cooper’s ears, as the pair recently admitted they were putting their careers at risk by starring in the remake of the classic romantic drama.
As well as starring, Cooper has moved behind the camera to direct the musical movie, while the ‘Poker Face’ hitmaker is making her big screen debut, and though the film has received rave reviews so far, both stars were aware it could have been their downfall.
Cooper said: “There are certain projects where you can go, ‘It didn’t work out, but it’s OK.’ And there are others where it’s like, ‘Actually, that wasn’t OK, and I took about five steps back.’ This was one of those. If it didn’t work, we both knew it was going to affect our careers.”
Gaga agreed: “Things could have turned a bad corner.”
Cooper, 43, realised the movie was the ideal project for his directional debut when he was initially preparing to star in the movie, which initially had Clint Eastwood at the helm.
He said: “[I remember] suddenly having this specific point of view deep inside me about what this love story was. And I know it sounds sophomoric, but I would only know how to tell a story if I had a point of view. Some people said maybe I should direct a commercial, or a pilot for a TV show, but that would have scared the daylights out of me.”
