OHMYGOSSIP — Faye Tozer thinks pole dancing will help her win ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The Steps star managed to claim the top spot of the leaderboard last week when her and her partner Giovanni Pernice’s energetic Cha-Cha-Cha dazzled the judges and, although she’s practicing her routines every day to make sure she stays at the top, she’s also trying to squeeze in pole sessions as well because she’s convinced the erotic style will help her ultimately lift the glitter ball trophy.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said: “I learned to pole dance for the play ‘Saucy Jack And The Space Vixens’ in 2006 and I loved it.
“I’ve had a training session today and I’m red raw all the way across my inner thighs, and I can see bruising coming up already. I’ve been doing a Downward Crucifix and Martini Glass pose. All good fun, but really hard work and it’s painful.
“The better you get, the more friction burns you get.”
The 42-year-old singer may have experience when it comes to shaking her hips – thanks to her career in a pop band – but the blonde beauty has admitted the thought of performing live on television fills her with “dread.”
She said recently: “What fills me with dread is the idea of going on TV and dancing live in front of so many people. But I was born for this. More sequins, more spray tan, more feathers. I’m ready – throw it at me.
“I’ve been wanting to do ‘Strictly…’ for years! I’m a huge fan. I had preconceived ideas about what it was going to be like, but it’s everything and more.”
And Faye is looking forward to seeing how her son Benjamin, whom she has with her husband Michael Smith, reacts to seeing her “twirling around on telly.”
She said: “I’m excited for my little boy to see his mum twirling around on telly.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams was “scared” of Simon Cowell for 25 years.
The ‘Candy’ hitmaker may have bagged a judging role on the music mogul’s singing show ‘The X Factor’ alongside his wife Ayda Field and One Direction hunk Louis Tomlinson this year, but he has admitted he’s felt nervous around him since he snubbed the chance to sign his former band Take That in 1993.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: “I was terrified by him and really interested in him as a person. He was an incredibly interesting guy who I was scared of! He had a chance to sign Take That and he passed on it.”
However, now that they work closely together on the ITV competition, the 44-year-old singer feels he’s really got to know Simon and “loves” him now.
He explained: “Everybody talks about him being the dark lord of the music industry, but the more I know him, the more I love him. He’s a visionary, he’s a genius and he’s unique. Everybody talks about him being the dark lord of the music industry, but the more I know him, the more I love him.”
And it looks like the feeling is mutual as Simon, 58, recently said that having Robbie on the judging panel this year was “the best 10 million” he’s ever spent.
Simon said: “To be honest with you, yes – it’s the best £10million I’ve ever spent. In life you have to do things like this. I’d rather do this than do nothing.
“For me it’s exciting and makes it more thrilling. But with all three of them you can see they’re not just there because they’ve got a pay cheque. They’re really happy they’ve got this job and they’re making a difference.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Seth Rogen will play a pickle maker preserved for 100 years for his next Sony Pictures project.
The 36-year-old will collaborate with the studio on the movie, which would see him once again team up with cinematographer Brandon Trost – making his feature directing debut – on a screenplay by Simon Rich.
Based on Rich’s own novella ‘Sell Out’ – which was serialised in the New Yorker – film will see Rogen playing struggling worker Herschel Greenbaum.
The character immigrates to the US in 1918 with a dream of a better life for his family, but he falls into a vat of pickles at his factory job and gets brined for 100 years.
He’s perfectly preserved, and when he finds himself in modern-day Brooklyn, it appears he hasn’t aged even a day.
However, his only surviving relative is his great-grandson Ben Greenbaum – a part Rogen will also play – who is a mild-mannered computer coder.
Production is set to start next month for the movie, which marks the actor’s first collaboration with the studio since he co-directed R-rated animated comedy ‘Sausage Party’ two years ago.
Last month, he admitted he felt no guilt over the Sony hack in retaliation to his and James Franco’s movie ‘The Interview’ – which was about an assassination attempt on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un – as confidential emails and data was leaked to the public.
Speaking on Dax Shepard’s podcast, ‘Armchair Expert’, Seth said: “I don’t feel as bad about that as you would think. Because the head of Sony was explicitly warned about the likelihood of a hack in a meeting I was in, and they proceeded to do nothing about it … I don’t know if it was my fault.”
Now, Rogen will produce the upcoming project, having held similar positions with Universal comedy ‘Blockers’ and Netflix’s ‘Like Father’, which he also starred on.
He is keeping busy as of late, with upcoming roles in ‘Flarsky’, and as Pumba in Disney’s highly anticipated live action remake of ‘The Lion King’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Clint Eastwood’s movie ‘The Mule’ is set to be released in time for Christmas.
The veteran actor’s latest project – which marks his first acting role in six years – is set to open on December 14, and the Warner Bros. thriller will see him both direct and play the lead.
He will appear in the flick as Earl Stone, a man in his 80s who has been left broke, alone and finds himself facing foreclosure of his business.
Earl is offered a job as a courier for a Mexican cartel, but he attracts the attention of DEA agent Colin Bates after also being assigned a menacing handler.
The story is is based on Leo Sharp, a 90 year old who was an award-winning horticulturist and World War II veteran known for his prized lilies when he was busted for running drugs for Mexico’s Sinaloa Cartel and later sent to prison
The movie – his first since 2012’s sport drama ‘Trouble With the Curve’ and the first time he has starred in a film he’s also directed since ‘Gran Torino’ a decade ago – has a stellar cast attached, including Bradley Cooper, Dianne West, Michael Pena, Laurence Fishburne and Clint’s own daughter Alison Eastwood.
Last month, the film studio’s boss Toby Emmerich suggested that Eastwood, 88, has always called the shots about when his projects are released.
He told Variety: “We’re waiting for Clint to show us the movie, and the way that’s worked for 25 years is whenever and wherever Clint says.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Coldplay make a whopping £174,000 a day.
The ‘A Sky Full of Stars’ hitmakers – comprised of Chris Martin, Johnny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion – make the hefty sum each day from their live shows and merchandising, according to accounts from their Flock of Birds Touring company.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, the company reported a turnover of £63,667,007 and a profit of £38.4million for 2017, with its activities reported as the “production of live music throughout the world, excluding North America, and worldwide merchandising”.
The staggering turnover was made up of £59.1 million in performance fees and promotional support and £4.5 million in merchandise and royalty income.
Last year, the ‘Yellow’ musicians headed out on their ‘A Head Full of Dreams World Tour’, and raked in a whopping £32.4million from Europe, £22million from Asia, £6.2million from South America.
In North America, it has been claimed in the accounts that the band earned £2.1million solely from merchandising.
The impressive income comes after lengthy speculation that Coldplay’s 2015 record ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ could be their final album.
In 2014, just after the release of their sixth record ‘Ghost Stories’, frontman Chris Martin compared a seventh album to “the last ‘Harry Potter’ book”, sparking rumours they wouldn’t be releasing an eighth.
He said: “We’re right in the middle of [recording] … It’s our seventh thing and the way we look at it, it’s like the last ‘Harry Potter’ book.”
However, the band’s manager Dave Holmes recently suggested the ‘Viva La Vida’ musicians could be planning an eighth album, after stating they won’t be heading on out on the road again for another three years, as they need to “come back with something really special”.
He said: “We won’t be touring again until 2021 at the earliest. We need to take a break and come back with something really special”.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘MasterChef’ is set to get a celebrity champion series.
The cooking show’s judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode are plotting a winners’ special as 12 previous conquerers – including Liz McClarnon, Lisa Faulkner and Phil Vickery – go head-to-head against this year’s yet-to-be announced champ in the kitchen in order to be crowned the best celebrity chef.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Gregg said: “I’d like to see all the previous winners go head to head. Not amateurs and not pros, but definitely ­celebs, because the celebs’ job is to be celebs, not chefs — they don’t make a living in food. That would be a great concept. A champion of champions.
“Most certainly, without a doubt, they bring the comedy factor.
“It’s by far the most amusing version of the show. At the start really, because so many of them can’t cook and also they are entertainers.”
And with format ideas like that, Gregg is convinced the mouth-watering game show will remain on screens for at least another 30 years.
He explained: “Do you know what I can see happening?
“I can see this show running for another 30 years, and me and John just turning up for the semi-finals and the finals as really old men.
“We’ll be the special guests turning up in the back room.”
Meanwhile, tonight’s (28.09.18) grand final of ‘MasterChef’ will see former ‘EastEnders’ star John Partridge, reality TV star Spencer Matthews and ex-rugby player Martin Bayfield battle it out to win this year’s prestigious trophy.
However, it won’t be an easy task as they will be forced to cook for five top chefs before attempting to wow Gregg and John with a three-course meal.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Sweetin didn’t report being sexually assaulted because she “blamed herself”.
The ‘Fuller House’ actress – who has daughters Zoie, 10, and Beatrix, eight, from previous relationships – has opened up about her ordeal and admitted she never made it public because she didn’t want to subject herself to “pain and ridicule”.
Writing after Christine Blasey Ford’s emotional testimony at the Supreme Court about the alleged assault she suffered at the hands of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, Jodie posted on Instagram: “I stand with her. I AM her. I was the girl who never reported because I blamed myself. I was the woman who never reported because I didn’t want to go through the pain and ridicule.
“What we saw today is about a much bigger issue of survivors of sexual assault being persecuted, judged and re-traumatized when they do come forward. We are told that if it were ‘real’, we would have reported it at the time. Often when we were merely children or young girls.
“Girls who were assaulted and then had “whore” written on lockers because rumours spread. Girls who were afraid of becoming a pariah in their social circles because they told the truth. It was easier to stay quiet.
It was easier to stay quiet.”
And the 36-year-old actress believes the women who are victims when they get older have already been “trained” to keep quiet.
She continued: “As we grew older and it happened again, we had been trained to remain silent. We had learned the lesson that no one will believe us. That even if someone DOES, it holds no consequence. We had watched other women come forward, only to be told ‘There were no witnesses, so it’s your word against his’, knowing that ‘his’ story is always more believed than ‘hers’. ”
But Jodie has vowed she will no longer “stay quiet” and wants women like her to have their voices heard.
She concluded: “I will not sit still. I will not stay quiet. Although I may never be as brave or as unflinching in the face of such an inquisition as she was today, it has given me hope. That maybe, just maybe, female survivors of sexual assault may be heard. Even if our voice is barely above a whisper.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendra Wilkinson is dating businessman Frankie Conti.
The 33-year-old reality star – who filed for divorce from Frank Baskett six months ago – has been out a “few” times with the 28-year-old marketing manager, but things are not serious between them.
A source told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “She’s not dating him exclusively. It’s nothing serious.
“They met in July at a charity golf tournament and have gone on a few dates since then.”
News of Kendra’s new man comes after it was revealed she’s enjoying “playing the field”.
A source said recently: “Kendra’s been talking to a bunch of different guys and having fun after her split. She’s playing the field and enjoying the dating scene again after everything she and Hank went through.”
Although she’s finding it hard to come to terms with her split from Hank, she’s adamant she doesn’t want to rekindle with him.
An insider said recently: “They’re still finalising the divorce and it’s a whole process. But they’re in communication and are in a healthier space. It’s no longer toxic.
“The marriage is definitely over though and they’re just trying to work through things as parents and act appropriately for their kids. There’s definitely still lingering animosity and hurt feelings but that’s just how they are too. They can both be irrational and don’t think before they put everything out there.”
The former Playboy model filed for divorce from Hank – with whom she has eight-year-old son Hank IV and four-year-old daughter Alijah – in April this year but it’s believed they’re still finalising things, including the custody agreement.
An insider explained: “Kendra and Hank’s divorce is not final yet. It has been a back and forth process and they have been sorting out the custody limitations and agreements, which is prolonging the situation. She understands that a divorce in general takes a great amount of time to process, but is completely over it, [and wants it] to be done and over with.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Nile Rodgers has “at least” 10 unreleased tracks he recorded with late DJ Avicii.
The 66-year-old music legend formed a bond with Avicii – who tragically passed away in April, aged 28 – after they worked together on the 2013 hit ‘Lay Me Down’, and he has now claimed the pair recorded some “extraordinary” music that was never released.
Speaking about the late DJ – whose real name is Tim Bergling – Nile said: “Between Avicii and me, there’s at least ten, at least.
“We laughed all the time. I used to say, ‘You put Tim and I in a room and we can do the entire Top 20 in, like, two or three weeks’.
“I’ve just been contacted about putting out my stuff, but I’ve got to see how it is because I was very close to Tim and the music we didn’t put out was extraordinary. He was blown away, as was I.”
But the ‘Le Freak’ hitmaker isn’t sure he wants to release the tracks he recorded with the DJ, because he says Avicii would want the music to “benefit” a particular group of people.
He added: “But, because of what I know, which I will not talk about, I want to make sure that whatever work I do would be to the benefit of the people Tim would want that project to benefit.”
Whilst he might not be dropping the music he recorded with Avicii, Nile has been hard at work on another release, as his band Chic released their first album in 26 years – entitled ‘It’s About Time’ – on Friday (28.09.18).
Nile called in the likes of Lady Gaga, Craig David, and Emily Sande to help with the record, after he lent a hand to each of them for their own music.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, Nile said: “Most of the time I make other people’s records, so what I did with this was a lot of those other people made my record with me.
“Then, as the album starts to get to a certain place, you start to see those people slowly disappear then it becomes more of my base unit, my people.
“Then there’s this happy ending like, ‘Hey we’re rolling in the same town together’.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bill Murray has defended Dustin Hoffman after his ‘Tootsie’ co-star was accused of sexual harassment.
The 68-year-old actor insisted his pal – who has previously apologised in response to the allegation against him – has always been a “flirt” but he is still a “great” man.
Speaking during a panel talk with agent Michael Ovitz at the 92nd Street Y in New York, he said: “Dustin Hoffman is a great man. He’s crazy, a Borscht Belt flirt, has been his whole life. [But] he’s a really sweet man.”
The 82-year-old actor was accused by Anna Graham Hunter, who worked as an intern on his movie ‘Death of a Salesman’ in 1985, of sexually harassing her on the set 32 years ago.
Anna alleged Dustin “grabbed” her ass on the set and asked her to give him a foot massage, and he later apologised for making her feel “uncomfortable”, admitting the accusations had made him “feel terrible”.
He said in a statement: “I have the utmost respect for women and feel terrible that anything I might have done could have put her in an uncomfortable situation. I am sorry. It is not reflective of who I am.”
Anna made her allegations in a piece for the Hollywood Reporter detailing her experiences from the set, which was taken from copies of notes she wrote to her sister at the time.
She wrote in her introduction: “When I was a senior in high school in New York City, interning as a production assistant on the set of the ‘Death of a Salesman’ TV film, he asked me to give him a foot massage my first day on set; I did.
“He was openly flirtatious, he grabbed my ass, he talked about sex to me and in front of me.”
In the piece, Anna branded Dustin a “lech” in her notes written after just 10 days on set.
She wrote: “Today, I realised some things about this business that scare me. First of all, Dustin’s a lech. I’m completely disillusioned. After ‘Tootsie’, I thought I wanted to marry him…
“Today, when I was walking Dustin to his limo, he felt my ass four times. I hit him each time, hard, and told him he was a dirty old man. He took off his hat and pointed to his head (shaved for the part) and said, ‘No, I’m a dirty young man, I have a full head of hair.’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rose McGowan has apologised for the “serious” allegations she made against Asia Argento.
The 45-year-old actress has reached out to her former friend to admitted she was “not correct” when she alleged the 43-year-old star had received sexually explicit texts from her sexual assault accuser Jimmy Bennett when he was just 12 years old.
She said in a statement posted to Twitter: “On 27 August I released a statement about Asia Argento, which I now realized contained a number of facts that were not correct.
“The most serious of these was that I said that the unsolicited nude text messages Asia received from Jimmy Bennett had been sent since Jimmy was 12 years old.
“In fact, I had misunderstood the messages that Asia exchanged with my partner Rain Dove, which made clear that Jimmy had sent Asia inappropriate text messages only after they met up again when he was 17 (still legally a minor in California, but notably different from a 12 year old) (sic)”
The ‘Charmed’ actress has vowed not to speak any more about the allegations against Asia and admitted she “deeply regrets” not retracting her comments sooner.
She continued: “I do not feel that it is my place to comment further on what happened at the Ritz Carlton in Marina del Rey hotel in May 2013, save to say that I now appreciate that it was not as I thought it was previously.
“In my statement, I challenged why Asia had not acted as I think any responsible adult would if they received sexually explicit messages from a 12 year old, which of course do not apply in the same way as when the situation involves a 17 year old.
“I deeply regret not correcting my mistake sooner and apologize to Asia for not doing so.”
Asia admitted she is “grateful” for Rose’s apology but still hit out at the actress for the damage she has caused.
She replied: “Although I am grateful to @rosemcgowan for her full apology following her groundless allegations about me, if she had issued it earlier, I may have kept my job on X-Factor and avoided the constant accusations of paedophilia which I have been subjected to in real-life and online.
“Now go on, live your life and stop hurting other people, will you Rose? Best wishes. (sic)”
Rose’s apology came a few weeks Asia threatened to take legal action over the “horrendous lies” she’d told about her.
She wrote on Twitter: “To @rosemcgowan. The 24hr deadline given to retract your recent false statements about me has now passed. I must inform you & @raindovemodel that I’ve instructed Mishcon de Reya to seek substantial damages for deception, fraud, coercion and libel. You will hear from them shortly. (sic)”
In her original threat, Asia gave Rose 24 hours to remove the statement she tweeted last month – in which she urged her ex-pal to be “honest” about the allegations against her – or face “immediate” legal action.
She wrote: “Dear @RoseMcGowan. It is with genuine regret that I am giving you 24 hours to retract and apologise for the horrendous lies made against me in your statement of August 27th. If you fail to address this libel I will have no option other than to take immediate legal action. (sic)”
Rose had claimed that Asia had confessed to sleeping with Jimmy in texts sent to her partner, Rain Dove, and alleged Asia “had stated that she’d been receiving unsolicited nudes of Jimmy since he had been 12.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Coronation Street’s Jack P Shepherd thinks David Platt is “resilient.”
The 30-year-old actor – who has played the former bad boy since 2000 – is pleased that he’s been given a number of different storylines over the years that have helped shape and develop his alter ego but he has admitted regardless of what is thrown at him, his character seems to come out the other side every time.
He told Coronation Street Updates: “I’ve been in the show for 18 years now and played every single storyline you could possibly play.
“Ultimately in soaps I think if it does change the character then you must see what you want from the character. Do you want David Platt to change and if so why? If he does change, does he eventually have to leave? After a while the character must come to terms with what has happened to them and move on, then you can live out other stories. David has been through a lot. He’s a resilient character. There are things that he’s got over and come out the other side.”
During his time on the soap, his alter ego has been drowned by his stepfather, attempted to fake his own suicide, crashed his car due to his epilepsy, watched his wife Kylie (Paula Lane) die in his arms after she was stabbed and, most recently, was sexually assaulted by Josh Tucker (Ryan Clayton).
Although the rape storyline has pushed boundaries, bosses have recently hired a hat-rick of new writers – some comedic – to freshen up the soap a bit.
Alasdair Morrison, who penned funny scripts for ‘Hollyoaks’, is among those to join the programme, while Samantha Holdsworth has swapped the Yorkshire Dales of ‘Emmerdale’ for the ‘Corrie’ cobbles in an attempt to bring some “Dingle-style antics” to Weatherfield.
And former street favourite Julie Hesmondhalgh’s husband Ian Kershaw – who has played five minor roles on the soap over the years – has also joined the team.

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna is working on a dance album, according to EDM artist Alesso.
The 30-year-old singer is said to be planning a take over of the dance music charts with a full dance-heavy record, according to ‘Remedy’ hitmaker Alesso, who says her voice would sound “great” on a dance track.
He said: “I’ve heard she wants to take over the dance music charts, we have some mutual friends, so we’ll see what happens with that.
“She has the voice that fits on any record, she makes every record sound great. Whether dance, house, ballad, Rihanna can do it all. It will be great.”
The 27-year-old DJ also admitted he’d love to lend a hand to the ‘Work’ hitmaker if she does decide to try her hand at EDM, and says he doesn’t “care” what vocals she provides as long as he gets to use them in a track.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he added: “It’s too early to say about a feature. We’ll see, but I would just make the most of the studio session and never ever leave.
“I’d just record vocals. I don’t care if she mumbles I would take it! She has the crystal-clear voice where as soon as she speaks you know that is Rihanna!”
The dance record speculation comes after Rihanna herself insisted earlier this month that new music is on the way.
Responding to a fan on Instagram who asked where her new music was, the ‘Diamonds’ hitmaker replied: “I know I know sis. I’m doing music. Simultaneously doing lingerie, makeup, film, amongst a couple other things that I enjoy.
“When the music is ready, you won’t have to ask for it. But it’s coming. Just not today sis. I’m hype too tho, it can’t come soon enough. (sic)”
Back in June, Rihanna confirmed that she had been back in the studio but she refused to divulge whether it would be ready in time for this Christmas.
She said at the time: “You’ll have to wait and see.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Barlow “semi-knew” Jason Orange would leave Take That after their performance at the 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony in London.
The 48-year-old singer announced his departure from the ‘Rule The World’ hitmakers in September 2014, but the band’s frontman Gary has admitted they had a feeling he would be walking away from the group two years earlier when they played at the prestigious ceremony – which marked Jason’s final performance with Take That.
Speaking during an appearance on Smooth Radio, 47-year-old Gary said: “In a strange way, we sort of semi-knew it would be Jason’s last show with us.
“We sort of semi-knew that, I think. We expected it. We would have all been surprised if he had carried on, he really wanted out at that point.
“It meant a lot of things, that evening.”
Take That is currently comprised of Gary, Howard Donald, and Mark Owen, and as well as Jason, Robbie Williams was also a former member before he departed in 1995, and again in 2014 after rejoining in 2010.
Recently, 44-year-old Robbie said he would love to reunite the group for their 30th anniversary in 2020, but only if Jason is on board with the idea too.
He said: I can genuinely say I don’t know. I’m up for it. But I don’t know what their calendar says, what my calendar says. I don’t know what their manager says.
“We’d all love to do it. I’d love to get Jason back involved, realistically I don’t think so.
“If we could get Jay back it would be perfect. But we shall see, watch this space.”
Robbie says he only speaks to Jason “twice a year”, but won’t do a reunion without him.
He said: “I’m in if it’s a five-piece.
“It’s down to Jay. I speak to Jay about twice a year. I don’t ask him stuff to do with Take That, but I know the other lads do.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Rod Stewart has already started work his 32nd studio album – despite his latest release, ‘Blood Red Roses’, hitting shelves on Friday (28.09.18).
The 73-year-old music icon released his 31st studio venture on Friday, but has said there’s no time to slow down and reflect on the record, because he already has another “nine tracks” that are almost finished.
He said: “We’ve started work on another album and have nine tracks already. I’ve just got to write the lyrics.”
Despite already planning his next album, Rod would still love to see ‘Blood Red Roses’ bag the top spot in next week’s album chart, and has said he’s planning the “biggest party” to celebrate.
Asked what it would mean to him to see the album claim the number one position, he said: “I would throw the biggest party. I don’t care if it doesn’t get to No1 in Japan but, in my home country, I want it to do well so I can walk proud among my friends.
“I’m not expecting to sell ten million copies like Taylor Swift. I make songs for my friends now and hope a few other people want to listen.”
The ‘Maggie May’ hitmaker is heading out on a stadium tour next year, and has said he can’t wait to get up on stage as his decades long career has helped him get over his stage fright.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, Rod said: “The buzz is still there. I remember when we only played for half an hour and that was it but now we do two hours.
“I don’t get nervous before I walk on any more. I’ve got no stage fright.
“[The last time I had stage fright] I was with Jeff Beck at the Fillmore East in New York. I hid behind the amps and didn’t want to come out.
“I was so conscious I was trying to sound like all the great blues singers with their rough voices.
“I thought, ‘F**k, I’m in America and they’ll see me as a fraud.’ I really got wrapped up in this and I was so frightened the curtain would open and I’d see … this was my worst nightmare … a lot of the black guys going, ‘Fraud! Fraud!’. But it was the opposite. The place was full of hippies!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Willie Nelson says he can’t stop writing songs.
The 85-year-old country music legend has been in the music business for decades but isn’t even thinking about retiring, because even though he has moments where he doesn’t want to “write another song”, ideas keep coming to him.
He said: “I think there’s some things that can only come out in songs. You can write a beautiful book, but take verses out of it and put a melody to it and you’ve got another dimension.
“I wrote something the other day that said, ‘I don’t want to write another song, but tell that to my mind!’ I just throw them out there and try to make them rhyme.’ I write everywhere, anywhere. I write a lot at home at night.”
The ‘Always On My Mind’ hitmaker thinks in lyrics first and then adds the music afterwards, as he believes songs are just “poems with a melody”.
He added: “Usually it starts as a poem. At some point I’ll get up and go get the guitar and see what kind of melody those words suggest.”
Willie – who released his 68th studio album ‘My Way’ earlier this month – is known for his activism and often politically charged lyrics, and although he doesn’t mention current US president Donald Trump by name, he has voiced his frustration and the divisiveness caused by the plans to close the Mexican border.
He said: “I thought everything that happened there was unforgivable. We have a statue that says: ‘Y’all come in.’ I don’t believe in closing the border. Open them suckers up!
“We need those folks. I used to pick cotton and pull corn and bale hay and I’m lucky to play guitar now, but we have to have the people who want to work, and take care of them.”
The ‘On the Road Again’ singer averages 150 days on the road in a year, and says he loves travelling the country as it lets him soak in the differences between each US state.
Speaking to The Guardian newspaper, he said: “I’ve moved around a lot in 85 years. And I went through a lot of political spaces in our country – four years of this, eight years of that.”
