OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Grimshaw is studying set design at university.
The 34-year-old DJ recently started going to Central Saint Martins in London two days a week in the hope of nabbing a job in music production.
The move comes after Nick jumped ship from the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show to the Drivetime slot after six years.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I’m starting a course in set design.
“I’m going back to uni but not forever.
“I want to learn how to be a set designer.
“I want to do live music production.
“I did that before radio so now I basically need to go to uni to get all of the terminology and the language of it.
“I’ll do it at Central Saint Martins on Fridays and Saturdays.
“I had to go and buy my pencils and scalpel and a lightbox to trace.
“I’ve been interning for a bit on and off but it’s always been an interest and a love of mine.”
The presenter previously studied media studies at the University of Liverpool, but he didn’t pass his exams in the third year.
Not only has his new schedule allowed him to study, but Nick recently found love again with new boyfriend Meshach Henry.
The pair met earlier this year, and Nick reportedly took the dancer on a romantic break to Oxfordshire to celebrate his 22nd two weekends ago.
A source said: “Nick has found dating quite tough in recent years because of his job.
“But he met Meshach – who’s called Mesh by his pals — a few months ago and although it’s still early days they are really enjoying their time together. They are taking things easy and not putting any pressure on anything.
“Nick really likes him, and his friends are thrilled he has found someone who makes him happy.”
Nick previously admitted he hoped his new role would improve his personal life as the early starts had meant sacrificing romance.
He said: “I think I will have more time to put my life first. I have committed to this show, especially the last year, and I have put my head down. But now I can go for dates with people and the new show will help.
“I have been trying to date people, but you don’t want to ‘day date’ and even two weeks ago, I went on a date and then he said, ‘Do you want to go to the cinema, it’s at 8.20pm?’
“And I was thinking, ‘8.20, arrggh the film won’t start until like ten-to-nine so it won’t finish before 11’ so home and asleep at midnight and that is if I fall asleep straight away.”
When he took over the coveted job from Chris Moyles in 2012, Nick admitted it consumed his life.
He added: “It does send you a bit mad and sort of becomes your life, because everything you are watching and consuming each day you are trying to produce content for the next morning, because you can’t do it before 5am.”

The 33-year-old star – who previously dated late Playboy owner Hugh Hefner – took to Instagram on Monday (22.10.18) to slam anyone who has ever criticised her fake boobs.
The busty beauty – who has Alijah, four, and Hank, eight, with ex-husband Hank Baskett – explained that she decided to have cosmetic surgery on her assets because she felt like a tomboy and wanted to “feel more like a chick”, and insists she’s never flaunted her bosoms to impress the opposite sex.
In a lengthy note to her 2.8 millions followers, Kendra wrote alongside a close up of her cleavage: “I get a lot of sh*t for my boobs. Here’s the true story. I don’t get dressed or have any intentions on using the boobs to get a man or attention. I throw on clothes, get ready for the day like everyone. I first got my boobs done at 18 because i was and am an athlete n Tom boy n i felt that i wanted to do something to make MYSELF feel more like a chick BEFORE playboy was even an option… (sic)”
Kendra added that her implants were her “best investment” and that she feels “shame” on other women who have slammed her because of her “jiggly” bust.
She added in the post on National Boobs Day: “Ended up being the best investment of my life but at the end of the day I’m still that Tom boy who can care less what a man thinks. I try not to look like I’m flaunting them because i really don’t. They are just on me n apart of me. OHMYGOSSIP — Duchess Meghan has made the top 100 most powerful black Britons powerlist.
The 37-year-old royal – who recently announced she is expecting her first child with husband Prince Harry – has been recognised alongside the likes of grime rapper Stormzy and boxing champion Anthony Joshua on the annual Black Powerlist.
The former actress is currently going through the process of obtaining UK citizenship, but would retain US citizenship through becoming a British citizen, which can take a number of years to complete.
Meghan and Harry are currently on their first international tour together and arrived in Fiji on Tuesday (23.10.18).
The Duke and Duchess travelled on a private charter flight to the capital of Suva, where they carried out various duties, including
Harry checking out the Guard of Honour, which saw a large group of Fijian army soldiers and members of the navy greet the prince at Nausori Airport, as Meghan watched on.
The couple also attended the Veirqaraqaravi Vakavanua ceremony, a celebration of Fijian culture, at Albert Park.
Meghan – who was known as Meghan Markle prior to marrying her husband at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in May – was forced to withdraw from some of her planned engagements due to tiredness earlier this week.
And the couple have also planned their trip to Fiji and Tonga around the current Zika virus risk.
Meghan and Harry are aware of the current epidemic of Zika-infested mosquitos in the areas they are set to visit and how it can affect pregnant women, and have reassured the royal family and the public that they have taken on the recommendations of doctors to avoid Meghan coming into contact with the virus.
A statement by Kensington Palace read: “The Duke and Duchess sought medical advice about the risk of the Zika virus on the islands of Fiji and Tonga and there will be no change to the planned schedule.”
The couple are taking precautions by only Harry visiting Fiji’s Solo-i-Suva forest for the unveiling of the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy and the same for their planned trip to Suva’s War memorial, The Sun reported.
The pair will spend a total of three days in Fiji, and a day in Tonga.
Meanwhile, Harry has reportedly revealed he hopes his wife gives birth to a baby girl.
In the midst of a cycling race in Sydney, Australia, a well-wisher called out to the Duke: “Congratulations, I hope it’s a girl”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Blockbusters’ is set for a comeback.
The popular TV game show – which was hosted by Bob Holness in the 80s and 90s, and a recent reboot was fronted by Simon Mayo – will return to screens in 2019 made by production company Thames TV, but a presenter or a channel are yet to have been decided.
A TV insider said: “It’s been the year of the revival with classic shows including ‘The Price Is Right’, ‘Generation Game’ and ‘It’ll Be Alright On The Night’ all making a comeback.
“Now Thames TV has decided it’s the right time to bring back ‘Blockbusters’. It’s just one of those feel-good shows that has a special place in a lot of people’s hearts.”
While a channel is yet to be given the green light, the programme – which saw contestants aim to make their way across or down a game board of hexagons by answering questions correctly – will have the same format as always.
The source added to The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: “It’s still very early days and a channel hasn’t been confirmed yet, but the plan is for it to have the same format and catchy theme tune.”
‘Blockbusters’ – also known for the regular comical contestant question, “Can I have a P please, Bob?” – first aired in 1983 with Bob at the helm, where he remained for 11 series until 1995.
Michael Aspel took on the mantle in 1997 for one series on BBC Two, and the show featured Stephen Merchant as a contestant.
Liza Tarbuck fronted a reboot between 2000 and 2001 on Sky One, and in 2012 Simon hosted the programme for six months on Challenge.
This comes just a day after Simon quit BBC Radio 2 to focus on writing books.
In a series of tweets, he wrote: “So. A few things to say. Very sadly, I have decided to move on from Radio 2. Sad to leave the show, sad to leave Jo, sad to leave Wogan House (I thought I’d be dragged out aged 120). But circumstances change…
“Juggling my writing and radio has become increasingly tricky (a nice problem to have). I’ve just signed a new 2 book deal with the nice folk at Transworld and they’ll be expecting something half decent before too long.
“On top of that my ‘Itch’ books are about to be filmed for television in Australia and the work turning ‘Mad Blood Stirring’ into a movie continues apace.
“I know, I know, I’m as surprised at this turn of events as you. But at my grand old age to be setting off on these brand new trails is enormous fun. And all the more so for being so unexpected.There are, however, only so many hours in a day. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Florence Pugh says naked scenes were banned from ‘The Little Drummer Girl’.
The new BBC One spy thriller – which sees the 22-year-old actress star opposite Alexander Starsgard – won’t be as racy as some of the channel’s other dramas, including ‘The Night Manager’ and ‘The Bodyguard’, because of its US audience.
She told Radio Times magazine: “America is quite scared of bums and nipples. We had to make sure there were no bums and nipples out. I don’t know why. Such strange people.”
Florence admitted it caused some issues during filming, particularly during one scene in which the two stars were “under the duvet”.
She explained: “There was one scene we did where Alex and I were under the duvet and supposedly naked. I was wriggling down one end and Alex is wriggling down the other.
“Halfway through, I hear: ‘Cut! Cut!’ Director Park says, ‘Florence, you’ve got to hide your nipples more!’ I’m like, ‘OK!’
“So we do it again, and again I hear: ‘Cut! Cut! Florence – it looks like you’re hiding your nipples.’ I’m like, ‘Arrrgh! Just let me get my breasts out, I don’t care!’ But America does care.”
The star was brought up watching “lots of European films”, and she has never seen nudity as something to be ashamed of.
She added: “My parents were very cool and made sure we watched lots of European films when we grew up, so nudity has never been a problem for me, as long as it’s done beautifully.
“There’s a reason why there’s a problem with bodies and it’s because you never actually get to see any normal versions of them.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Redknapp is planning to go camping to prepare for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’
The football manager – who has previously taken charge of West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur – is heading Down Under for a stint on the ITV reality show later this year, and he has revealed his plans to prepare for the Australian jungle.
He told talkSPORT: “I might go and sleep in the New Forest for a week in preparation.
“I’m trying not to think about it at all.”
A number of footballers have tried their luck on the show in the past, including Dennis Wise, Jimmy Bullard, Wayne Bridge and Neil Ruddock.
Harry managed the latter when he was at West Ham 20 years ago, and he has turned to him for advice on the challenge that lies ahead.
He said: “He said it was the toughest thing he’s ever done. You could imagine Razor not eating for a month. It would have killed him!”
He looks set to be joined in the jungle by a number of famous faces, including ‘Coronation Street’ actress Sair Khan and ‘The Case’ star Anne Hegerty.
Speaking about Harry, a source previously said:”Harry is never anything less than good value. He’s had a long, interesting career and knows a lot of famous people. He’ll be fun to watch.”
What’s more, Holly Willoughby has reportedly been paid a “six-figure sum” to replace Ant McPartlin on ‘I’m A Celebrity’.
The ‘This Morning’ host has agreed to front the new series of the creepy-crawly show alongside Dec Donnelly after his co-star Ant pulled out of all of his work commitments earlier this year when he was found guilty of drink-driving.
And, although bosses were certain they wanted the 37-year-old beauty to take on the role, they were determined to make her a cash offer she couldn’t refuse.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ has had its release date pushed back.
The much-anticipated new movie – which will see Gal Gadot reprise the role of Wonder Woman – was originally slated for release in November 2019, but it’s now been moved until June 5, 2020.
Gal, 33, announced the news on her Twitter page, writing: “Super excited to announce that, thanks to the changing landscape, we are able to put Wonder Woman back to its rightful home. June 5, 2020. Be there or be square!!! (sic)”
The actress will appear in the upcoming movie alongside Chris Pine – who is returning as Steve Trevor – and Kristen Wiig, who has been cast as Cheetah.
Gal previously admitted to feeling especially proud of Wonder Woman because the character challenges gender stereotypes.
The Hollywood star – who has daughters Alma, six, and 19-month-old Maya – shared: “She sees, she feels that she can do everything and she will go for it. She’s a peace seeker; she wouldn’t go and look to start a battle or a fight.
“She would try to solve it in any other different way, but I think that’s what’s beautiful about Wonder Woman, is that she’s, it’s funny, because I just had the conversation with my daughter two nights ago.
“I put her to bed and I was reading her a story and it was about princesses and Ariel the mermaid, whatever, and then she was talking about the prince, the guy, she called him the prince, and she said, ‘Yeah, and the prince, they’re usually very strong.’
“And I asked her, ‘And what about the princesses?’ ‘They’re weak.’
“‘And how do you think they should be, Alma?’ She said, ‘They should be strong. They should be strong.'”
Gal is proud that Wonder Woman manages to challenge these ideas.
The actress explained: “She believes she can do everything, and that’s a true woman for me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Johnny Depp has been cast alongside Mark Rylance and Robert Pattinson in ‘Waiting for the Barbarians’.
The Hollywood star has signed on to star in the upcoming indie movie, which is being directed by Colombian filmmaker Ciro Guerra.
The project is based on the allegorical novel by J.M. Coetzee, which tells the story of a a British magistrate living in a colonial town who starts to develop a growing sense of unease about the Empire.
The magistrate, who is to be played by Rylance, does his best to ignore the impending war with the so-called barbarians.
As yet, it’s not known who Depp and Pattinson will play in the film.
Meanwhile, Depp recently claimed that Disney wanted to “fire” him over his ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ performance.
The 55-year-old actor’s portrayal of Captain Jack Sparrow in the first film in the swashbuckling franchise left bosses baffled, and he admitted they didn’t understand the character.
Depp – who starred in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl’ in 2003 – said: “Disney hated me. [They were] thinking of every way they could to get rid of me, to fire me.
“‘Oh, we’re going to have to subtitle him.’ ‘We don’t understand Captain Jack Sparrow. What’s wrong with him?’ ‘What’s wrong with his arms?’ ‘Is he drunk?’ ‘Is he mentally f***ing stupefied?’ ‘Is he gay?'”
The actor revealed that Sparrow’s sexuality was brought up in a conversation with Disney’s Nina Jacobson, who has campaigned for greater diversity in Hollywood’s boardrooms.
He recalled: “It was a lady called Nina Jacobson from Disney at the time and she asked me a couple of questions and then said, ‘What is it, Johnny? Is he gay?’
“My tendency, of course, is to be irreverent so I said, ‘Nina, didn’t you know all my characters are gay?’ That was a pretty abrupt end to the conversation. And I just continued shaping Jack the way I believed was best.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘Gogglebox’ star Sandra Martin is getting married.
The 56-year-old reality star – who starred in the Channel 4 show alongside best pal Sandi Bogle from its beginnings in 2013 until her exit in 2017 – took to Twitter on Monday (22.10.18) to reveal she is set to marry for the fourth time in February next year, after proposing to her boyfriend.
In a series of tweets, Sandra – who is also known as Queen Bee – wrote: “NOT ONLY I GOT A NEW PERMANENT HOME WHOOP WHOOP. I GOT A NEW PERMANENT RELATIONSHIP WITH MY BOYFRIEND AND TING XXX.
“PLEASE TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE HAVE SET A DATE FOR WEDDING AND TING XXX
“Yes yes yes..he said YES YES. AM GETTING MARRIED AGAIN. MY 4TH MARRIAGE. BOOYACKA XXX (sic)”
Sandra then posted a video in which she explained that she was selecting an engagement ring for her unnamed beau.
She said in the clip: “I’m just getting my fiancé his engagement ring. I hope he gets me one! Yes, Queen Bee life. I’ve been married three times and divorced, but I’m getting married again! Valentine’s Day. I proposed to him and he said yes. Uh oh! Anyway, I know that was a big surprise, but we’re in love.”
And in the caption, she wrote: “LOOKING FORWARD TO TO MY ENGAGEMENT RING FROM METO U..AND YOU TO ME (sic)”
Since announcing the news, Sandra has since pinned a new tweet to her profile, in which she displayed a picture of herself with her boyfriend and claimed he was the reason for her recent move to Birmingham from her home in Brixton, South London.
She wrote: “CAN I INTRODUCED YOU GUYS TO MY PERMANENT BOYFRIEND. HIS THE REAL.REASON I.MOVED TO BIRMINGHAM AND TING XXX. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Mayo has joked he is leaving BBC Radio 2 because of Jo Whiley’s “hairy toes”.
The 60-year-old DJ announced on Monday (22.10.18) that he is set to step down from his role hosting the drive time show alongside co-host Jo on the UK radio station, and has now joked his decision to quit was influenced by the sight of Jo’s hairy toes whenever she took her shoes off in the studio.
Speaking on their popular radio show, Jo said: “I’m just wondering was it the hairy toes when I got them out day-in and day-out? Could you bear it no longer? And my insistence that fancy dress would be a really good idea to do on this show? Am I running out of chances to get you to do the Cancer 5K?”
To which Simon jokingly replied: “Yes your hairy toes and your fear and hatred or raisins … OK, I will do the Cancer 5K with you.”
In Simon’s original statement – which he posted on Twitter – he revealed his decision was actually influenced by his career as a writer, as he recently signed a new book deal which see him write two new books, as well as having his ‘Mad Blood Stirring’ tome into a movie.
And on his radio show – which he will leave in December – he said he was both “sad and excited” to be moving on to new projects.
He said: “I have, much to my surprise, decided to leave Radio 2 in December, I was expecting to do an Alan Keith or a Derek Jacobs and hang until I was 150 but circumstances change and next year was getting very busy and in 2019 the book that I mentioned which is The Itch Series is being made into a television series in Perth in Australia. And Mad Blood Stirring which is a book I wrote this year, that’s an ongoing film project and intend to work on both projects. And I have a new two book deal too, so my two publishers will be expecting a book very soon … I’m very sad to be leaving the show, I’m very sad to be leaving you [Jo Whiley], I’m very sad to be leaving Wogan House, I’m very sad to be leaving the whole production team, but excited at the same time, does that make sense to be sad and excited?”
Whilst Jo, 53, wished him all the best, and said she hoped he felt “very loved and respected” during his time at the radio station.
She said: “The main thing for me is that I hope today you have felt the tidal wave of love and respect that has come from you from all over the place.
“I hope you feel very loved and respected, I’m gutted that you’re leaving but I’m not going to go anywhere. I’m still going to be here on Radio 2, I’m going to be here Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 7 until 9 plans for The Evening Session, it’s kind of what I do best and what I love best, new and vintage, RagnBone Man has already offered himself up for a session so I think we’re going strong so far.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Munn doesn’t travel anywhere without her hot water bottle.
The 38-year-old actress has shared her top tip for travelling, which involves taking a hot water bottle with her on all her flights, and getting the fight attendants to fill it with boiling water.
The ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ star admits the staff on her planes are often “surprised” by her request, but insists the warm pouch “makes every flight so comfortable”.
She said: “Honest to goodness, my best travel hack is bringing a hot water bottle with you on the plane. Cheap, from the drug store, you bring it on the plane and you get the flight attendant to fill it up with boiling hot water, which they always have for their hot teas and their coffee. It makes every flight so comfortable. I do that before the flight takes off and I’ve always noticed that they’re surprised that I have it.”
And when she’s on a long haul flight, ‘The Predator’ actress makes sure she treats herself with a massage as soon as she lands.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, she added: “My gosh, whenever I travel … especially whenever you’re flying so long, I love to get a great massage or facial.”
Meanwhile, the actress recently opened up on her battle with “anxiety and sporadic bouts of depression”, which she says she’s been struggling with for most of her adult life.
In an Instagram post uploaded following the death of TV chef Anthony Bourdain, Olivia wrote: “I have lived with anxiety and sporadic bouts of depression for most of my adult life. 10 years ago I tackled it, learned to fully understand it and haven’t felt the dark depths of depression in about a decade. But before that, thoughts of suicide crossed my mind more than a few times. For those who don’t understand depression, when someone is in that place it’s not because they want to die… it’s because the ongoing, relentless darkness is too painful to endure anymore. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Claire Foy’s struggle with anxiety makes it hard for her to decide what to have for dinner.
The 34-year-old actress has admitted her battle with the mental health condition has been a real struggle as “anything can trigger it”, including the simplest of things such as whether she should eat a potato or a hamburger for her dinner.
Speaking on Scandinavian talk show ‘Skavlan’, she said: “You could have anxiety about whether you should have a potato or a hamburger for dinner. That would be anxious for me. Is the potato the right choice? Is the burger the right choice? That’s how anxiety works, it doesn’t have to be based on anything extreme. It’s definitely not rational.”
This isn’t the first time the ‘Crown’ star has spoken about her anxiety either, as she previously stated that whilst she has been fighting the illness for many years, she has found her condition has worsened since becoming an actress and finding fame.
She said: “When you have anxiety, you have anxiety about – I don’t know – crossing the road.
“The thing about it is, it’s not related to anything that would seem logical. It’s purely about that feeling in the pit of your stomach, and the feeling that you can’t, because you’re ‘this’ or you’re ‘that’. It’s my mind working at a thousand beats a second, and running away with a thought.”
Asked about the specific thoughts she was dealing with, Claire admitted: “It’s lots of thoughts about how s**t I am. It definitely magnified when I started doing this. Exploded. Yeah.”
And the ‘First Man’ actress says she even suffered a “breakdown” in her early 20s when she couldn’t cope with her own mental health.
She said: “When I was 23, I had a breakdown. I didn’t sleep or eat for a month. It was awful. My life had changed. I felt overwhelmed. I was on stage at the time and working, and I’d just got a really big job [the lead in the BBC’s Little Dorrit]. I just couldn’t cope.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Silverman has admitted Louis C.K. masturbated in front of her – but she consented to it.
The 51-year-old comedian was accused last year by several women, including Sarah’s own sister Laura, of exposing himself and masturbating in front of them often without consent and he later released a statement admitting the allegations were true.
And now Sarah – who is a longtime friend of Louis – has said he also exposed himself to her, but she fully consented to the actions that took place.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘The Howard Stern Show’ on Monday (22.10.18), she said: “I know I’m going to regret saying this. I’ve known Louis forever. I’m not making excuses for him, so please don’t take this that way. We are peers. We are equals.
“Sometimes I’d go, ‘F**k yeah, I want to see that!’ … We were only just friends. Sometimes, yeah, I wanted to see it. It was amazing. Sometimes I would say, ‘F***ing no, gross,’ and we got pizza.”
Sarah has voiced her opinion on Louis’ actions in the past, and claimed that whilst she was still angry and disappointed with her pal, she has not cut him out of life and believes he should be granted a second chance in his career as it is up to audiences to decide whether or not they want him back.
She said in May: “I think that there are people who were caught and there were people who were not caught, but the important thing is that they are forever changed. And if that’s the case, I don’t see any reason why they can’t continue being artists. Now, whether they’re popular artists or not is up to the audience. I have compassion. There are people that just deny everything they’re accused of and they continue to be the politicians or the filmmakers that they are. And there are people that come and say, I’m guilty of these things, and I’m wrong, and I want to be changed from this. And yet those are the ones that kind of are excommunicated forever. OHMYGOSSIP — Will Smith had to give a stern talking to his wife Jada Pinkett Smith after she swore around his son Trey.
The 50-year-old actor has Trey, now 25, with his former wife Sheree Zampino, and has said that during the start of his marriage to Jada, he was forced to tell her off after she cursed at him whilst he was holding his then-baby son, because he didn’t want to create a home with “profanity and violence”.
Will – who has 20-year-old son Jaden and 17-year-old daughter Willow with Jada – said: “I grew up in a household where I watched my father punch my mother in the face. I will not create a house, a space, an interaction with a person where there’s profanity and violence. If you have to talk to me like that, we can’t be together. We’re not gonna use any profanity in our interactions. We’re not gonna raise our voice. We’re not gonna be violent. I can’t do it. … It was 20 years before we used any profanity in any conversion we’ve had.”
Now though, the family unit is stronger than ever, and Will praised himself and his wife for “parenting the hell” out of their brood.
Speaking during an episode of Jada’s Facebook Watch show ‘Red Table Talk’, he said: “Together we win. We rule the material world. ‘Karate Kid’. ‘Whip My Hair.’ ‘Hawthorne’.Nobel Peace Prize. Our family did that within a six-month period … I was like, ‘I’m parenting the hell out of these kids! We’re killing it.’ Externally, our family was winning.”
His comments come after a preview clip for the episode revealed Will felt as though he was “failing miserably” when Jada was left in tears for 45 days straight during a rough patch of their marriage.
Will said: “There was a period where mommy woke up and cried 45 days straight, I started keeping track.”
Jada jokingly replied that he “missed some days,” and Will continued: “Every morning, I think that’s the worst I’ve ever felt in our marriage. I was failing miserably.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Shaun Williamson has landed a role in a new BBC comedy.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actor – who is best known for his part as Barry Evans in the BBC One soap – is to star in ‘Mister Winner’ alongside Spencer Jones and Lucy Pearman.
He said: “I’m delighted to be part of ‘Mister Winner’, alongside the brilliant Lucy and Spencer. Leslie is like the son-in-law I never wanted.
“I have to keep reminding myself he’s not real or I’d never sleep at night.”
The comedy will see Spencer star as the hapless Leslie Winner who often finds himself in disastrous situations, and Lucy will appear as his fiancee Jemma, while Shaun will play Jemma’s father Chris.
Spencer said: “Two weeks ago, we were in so much debt that my missus had to hide our car a few streets away from the bailiffs.
“This week I’m the lead in a BBC One sitcom. Welcome to the entertainment industry.
“I really hope people like the show because I can’t find the car and the missus can’t remember where she parked it.”
Harriet Thorpe will appear as Leslie’s mother Sharon, Oliver Maltman stars as Sharon’s younger boyfriend Steve, and Leon Annor will portray Leslie’s best mate Cooper.
Filming for the six-part comedy is already underway, and the show will be executive produced by Chris Sussman, BBC Studios’ head of comedy.
He added: “Spencer Jones is a very funny man but a massive liability, and I can’t believe we’ve let him loose around some very expensive production equipment.
“Let’s hope the BBC’s insurance premiums are up to date.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Seacrest plans to give Katy Perry tickets to his own show for her birthday.
The ‘Dark Horse’ singer turns 34 on Thursday (25.10.18) and the ‘American Idol’ presenter admitted he was low on gift ideas for the show’s judge.
Ryan said: “Katy has everything, so I am not quite sure what we’re going to get her. Maybe just tickets to ‘Live With Kelly and Ryan’. They are free. That would be great. That’s a good idea!”
But the ‘Chained to the Rhythm’ hitmaker admitted she wasn’t expecting anything from Ryan or her fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.
She joked to ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Their presence is my present. I give them the gift of them getting to be able to sit next to me every day.”
And Katy is only too happy to be spending her birthday at ‘American Idol’ auditions because she and the rest of the team have a great time working together.
Luke said: “We don’t have to be all pins and needles about poking and having fun. And nobody’s going to get their ego hurt, their feelings hurt. We know how much fun we can have with each other.”
Katy added: “We are not going to tell our managers later to go talk to them.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Firework’ singer – who was previously married to Russell Brand – recently praised her boyfriend Orlando Bloom for being an “anchor” in her life and not being afraid to “call her out” when she’s acting “cuckoo”.
She said of the ‘Lord of the Rings’ star: “[He’s] a great anchor.”
She then added in an interview: “For some reason, I attract people who are really real and call me out on stuff when I’m being cuckoo.”
