PartyNextDoor unfollows Zayn Malik on social media

OHMYGOSSIP — PartyNextDoor has unfollowed Zayn Malik on Twitter and Instagram and removed remixes from Spotify and YouTube.
The 23-year-old rapper – whose real name is Jahron Anthony Brathwaite – has got rid of all traces of the former One Direction star on his social media accounts by hitting the unfollow button and he’s also deleted all his posts about their hit song ‘Still Got Time’.
On his official YouTube account there are no longer videos of his remixes of the track, the same with Spotify, suggesting there has been beef between the two musicians.
Zayn, 24, is yet to address his collaborator’s move.
The ‘Pillowtalk’ hitmaker has a long history of Twitter feuds, having fallen out countless times with his producer pal Naughty Boy.
The ‘Runnin’ (Lose It All)’ star fell out with Zayn in 2015 and a war of words on social media followed.
He branded Naughty Boy – whose real name is Shahid Khan – a “fat joke” on following allegations he leaked a recording online of the singer’s unheard solo material.
Naughty Boy snapped: “I didn’t leak it. Krept, who is on the tune with Zayn, Snapchatted it. No one put it on YouTube or nothing. I genuinely didn’t leak the video.”
However, the 32-year-old ‘Should’ve Been Me’ hitmaker was adamant that’s not the reason their friendship came to an abrupt halt anyway, but has remained tight-lipped on the real reason.
He said: “That was … that was just him throwing his toys out of the pram. We fell out over something else.”
Zayn also got into a disagreement with his former bandmate Louis Tomlinson after he waded into his argument with Naughty Boy.
At the time, he wrote on the micro-blogging site: “@Louis_Tomlinson Remember when you were 12 and you used to think those Mac filters for your pictures were cool haha ! Some people still do HA! (sic)”

Travis to perform hit album The Man Who live

OHMYGOSSIP — Travis have announced they will perform their acclaimed album ‘The Man Who’ in full this September.
The Scottish indie band were shot to fame in 1999 when they released their second LP which spent nine weeks at number one in the UK album chart, selling more than three million copies and spawning a string of hits including ‘Driftwood’, ‘Why Does It Always Rain on Me?’ and ‘Turn’.
Lead singer Fran Healy admitted it will be an “emotional journey” to revisit the songs once more when they play the album in its entirety at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall on September 8 and at the On Blackheath festival in London on September 9.
Speaking about the special shows, he said: “Songs are like emotional bookmarks in time. When you hear a song you are transported to those times and feel strong echoes of the feelings you felt. Rarely does an album have this ability so performing ‘The Man Who’ is going to be a joyous occasion.”
Travis formed in 1990 and includes fellow band members Andy Dunlop, Dougie Payne and Neil Primrose.
Their third album, ‘The Invisible Band,’ also debuted at number one in 2001 and they have continued to release new music bringing out their eighth studio LP ‘Everything At Once’ last year.
Travis were influenced by Britpop legends such as Oasis, Blur and Pulp and in turn they have been credited with influencing Coldplay and Keane, who both achieved worldwide success throughout the 2000s.

Rick Parfitt's son slams Status Quo for treating dad 'awfully'

OHMYGOSSIP — Rick Parfitt’s son has slammed Status Quo frontman Francis Rossi for carrying on performing like his father never existed.
Rick Parfitt Jnr, 42, was not impressed when he was alerted that his father was not mentioned at the ‘Whatever You Want’ rockers show in Estonia on April 18.
A fan wrote on Twitter: “keeping on playing like nothing happened (sic)”
Rick fumed: “That should tell you… everything you need to know … speaks volumes (sic)”
He then accused the group – also comprised of Andy Brown, John ‘Rhino’ Edwards and Leon Cave – of treating Parfitt, who died in hospital in Spain as a result of a severe infection on December 24 last year, “awfully” towards the end of his life and said that he will reveal the truth about it all when he feels it is right.
He added to the micro-blogging site: “Dad was treated awfully … You don’t know what I know … when the time is right (sic)”
Status Quo manager Simon Porter has responded to Rick’s comments and said he and the group are “extremely surprised” by the outburst and insisted that “things are not the same since his [Rick’s] death”.
Parfitt was forced to stand down from his duties as guitarist in the group during their 2016 tour following his third heart attack, which saw him spend several days in a coma after a gig in Turkey in June last year, and was replaced by Richie Malone.
Simon told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “The band and I were extremely surprised and disappointed to hear about comments made online suggesting that the much-missed Rick Parfitt had been treated unfairly by the band in that period of time between him being forced to stand down from touring work and his tragic death late last year.
“Rick remained a full member of the band and, we are prepared to reveal, was paid his full entitlement of all monies relating to both live and recorded work, despite him being unable – on well-documented medical grounds – to undertake Quo performances.
“His contribution to the band can never be understated, and never would be by anyone with direct connections to Status Quo. Things are not the same since his death, nor should they be, but the show goes on because band and fans alike still love this amazing music.
“When I last met with Rick three days before his passing, he was already aware that he would never be able to perform live with the band again and it was his express wish that Quo should continue to perform live, not least because he would personally continue to be financially rewarded for all future Quo work.”

Ed Sheeran was told not to give away Shape of You

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran was told by his label to keep ‘Shape of You’ for himself.
Steve Mac, who co-wrote the song with the 26-year-old flame-haired hunk and Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid, has revealed they had no idea how big the track would be and how they weren’t writing the track with Ed in mind.
The 45-year-old producer said: “Ed, myself and Johnny never even thought it was an Ed Sheeran record – we just thought it was a good little pop song.
“Ed played me what he thought was the first single from ‘Divide’, which sounded amazing. So we started writing and within the first two hours, ‘Shape Of You’ came along.
“In our minds we weren’t writing for Ed at this stage, which is probably why it sounds like it does.”
Steve also revealed that Atlantic Records label boss Ben Cook advised the trio not to give it away to anyone else and insisted Ed should have it as his lead single on his record ‘Divide’.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “Ben Cook got very excited and said: ‘This should be the single!’
“They heard something different; that’s why they’re good at their jobs.”
He also revealed that ‘Alarm’ hitmaker Anne-Marie – who is supporting Ed on his current tour in the UK – was responsible for him meeting the ‘Thinking Out Loud’ singer, and ever since they’ve formed a great bond and they now write for other musicians together.
Asked how he came to work with the pop megastar, he said: “It was all down to Anne-Marie. She called me up and said: ‘My mate wants to write with you’.
“I rolled my eyes and was like: ‘Right OK, has he done anything before?’
“‘Kind of yeah, it’s Ed Sheeran.’
“At which point, I realised I might just be able to find a gap in my diary.
“We have so many singles coming out for other artists. We have a great connection.”
Steve says the only difference between him and Ed is the fact no one knows who he is.
He added: “I’m the lucky one. No-one on the street has a clue who I am.”

OneRepublic announce new single No Vacancy

OHMYGOSSIP — OneRepublic have announced new single ‘No Vacancy’.
The ‘Counting Stars’ hitmakers have been teasing fans that they have new music on the way for some time now and they will drop the new track on Friday (28.04.17).
The track follows the band’s 2016 album ‘Oh My My’.
The pop rock band’s frontman Ryan Tedder previously said that the band will stop making records.
He accepts that the music industry has changed since their last record, 2013’s ‘Native’, and is to follow in the footsteps of superstar DJ Calvin Harris by only releasing singles in the future should it “make sense” not to release a body of work.
He previously said: “If the world has evolved to the point where it doesn’t make sense to do an album, we will absolutely not do an album. The industry has changed.”
However, the group say fans can expect at least one more record after the next one because they are tied to a deal with their record label.
Ryan added: “I’m pretty sure we owe one more album to our label.”
OneRepublic began making their follow-up to ‘Native’ in August of 2014 and Tedder feels the songs are the “best” he’s ever written for his band.
He previously said: “We have some records on this album which I think are the best songs I have done for OneRepublic.”
Meanwhile, the hunky songwriter has said he’s tired of having a low profile despite writing some of the biggest hits for stars including Adele, Beyonce and Taylor Swift.
He previously admitted: “I think I’ve gotten tired of being quiet (achievers) as we have been. I don’t know if another band has done the same kind of numbers with such a low profile. Maybe having a higher profile, and I’m not.”

Harry Styles 'had a secret friendship with Glenn Frey'

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Styles formed a secret friendship with Eagles star Glenn Frey before his death in 2016.
The 23-year-old star grew close to the American singer before he passed away aged 67 in January last year, and Harry even attended his memorial service in Los Angeles alongside the likes of Stevie Wonder and Don Henley.
Cameron Crowe, who interviewed Harry for Rolling Stone magazine, told The Sun newspaper: “The first time I met him was for the memorial. He was really missing his friend.”
The extent of Harry’s friendship with the star was never previously known, but he did pay tribute to the Eagles singer a day after his death.
In a post on Instagram, Harry wrote: “Rest in love and peace, Mr Frey.”
Meanwhile, it was recently announced that Harry is to have a week-long residency on ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’ in May.
The singer chatted to the CBS host in a FaceTime call posted on YouTube on Tuesday (25.04.17), explaining that he’s heading to America and was looking for a temporary home.
Harry said: “I’m coming to LA soon, and I need somewhere to stay.”
His showbiz pal replied: “Sure, if you want to stay at mine, you’re welcome.”
However, the ‘Sign of the Times’ musician was dissatisfied with the suggestion as he wanted to reside somewhere that felt more like “home”.
Harry continued: “Oh God no. No, no , no, no. I want to stay at the studio.
“I just want to stay somewhere that feels like home.”
James wasn’t initially taken with the idea, but after putting in place a few house rules, he agreed to let Harry on the show.
In the clip, he said: “Hang on. Are you saying you want to crash on ‘The Late Late Show’ coach, here, at the studio?
“Feels a bit weird to be honest.
“Fine, you’re more than welcome to stay here for a week. But there are rules. No house guests.
“I think you know what I mean. Zero house guests. If you’re crashing here, you have to work for it, you’re going to have to pitch in.”

Lana Del Rey collaborating with Stevie Nicks?

OHMYGOSSIP — Lana Del Rey has reportedly recruited Stevie Nicks for her upcoming album.
The 31-year-old musician is currently working on her fourth studio record ‘Lust For Life’, and according to Pitchfork.com the Fleetwood Mac legend will be on hand to lend her vocals to one of the LP’s tracks.
As of the time of writing, no other details are known about the supposed collaboration.
If the 68-year-old ‘Landslide’ hitmaker does appear on Lana’s album, it will be the third confirmed collaboration for the record, as it was previously revealed that Sean Ono Lennon – the son of Beatles legend John Lennon and Yoko Ono – will perform on the song ‘Tomorrow Never Came’, whilst rapper The Weeknd will lend his vocals to the album’s title track.
The ‘Born To Die’ hitmaker unveiled plans for her latest studio venture last month when she took to Twitter to share a two-minute video in which she spoke about needing “space” to create her record and needed to be as “far away” from “real life” as possible.
She said: “You know in this time an artist really needs a lot of space when they are trying to create something special.
“A place to cultivate a world of their own away from the real world that is around them.
“Luckily for me, I live right inside the middle of the edge of the Hollywood sign.
“And this is how I spend most of my nights, perched high above the chaos that swirls within the city of angels below.”
And Lana has already released one single, entitled ‘LOVE’, which is expected to appear on the album.
The record is a body of work created by Lana and her long-time producer and collaborator Rick Nowels. Producers Benny Blanco and Emile Haynie also participated on ‘LOVE’.
‘Lust for Life’ has no confirmed release date as of yet, but is expected to drop later this year.

Katy Perry announces Bon Appétit release date

OHMYGOSSIP — Katy Perry’s new single ‘Bon Appétit’ will be released on April 28.
The 32-year-old singer took to social media to announce the release of her latest single, whilst also revealing the artwork for the track.
Captioning the image, which sees Katy’s head photoshopped into the middle of a plate of fruit, she wrote: “Compliments of the chef: 4.28.17 (sic)”
It comes after the ‘Chained to the Rhythm’ hitmaker took to social media on Tuesday (25.04.17) and hinted that ‘Bon Appétit’ is her next single.
Alongside a wink face and a set of cherries emojis, she wrote on Twitter: “Bake me a pie and you may get a surprise (sic)”
And then Katy sent her fans a newsletter with the “World’s Best Cherry Pie” recipe, captioning the graphic: “Open and swipe up (sic)”
Fans proceeded to bake cherry pies and tweeted the singer with their photos.
When one fan asked the star to reveal the surprise, she teased: “There’s no tell but if you do (bake) there’s gift in the mail (sic)”
And eagle-eyed fans spotted that hidden in the recipe and method there appears to be lyrics for the new track, which read: “This pie is gonna hit that sweet tooth, boy / Calm those hungry eyes / Bon appétit, baby!”
Meanwhile, Katy recently revealed she has an album on the way but she wants to release a few songs before giving her fans the “full meal” as she fells music listeners can only manage small chunks at a time.
She explained: “I’ve got something swirling, but, you know, I think I want to put out some songs first before I give them the full meal. I think we are digesting things in bite-size these days and that’s what we can handle. It’s not shade at all anything like that – you’ll know when it’s shade.
“But when someone has a 17 or 19-track album, you’re like, ‘Oh my God, I have to take a trip to Mars to listen to your record in full!’ I mean I love you, you’re my favourite dope artist, but like we want bite size. We, like, only read headlines. We don’t even read the whole story!”

Orbital are reuniting

OHMYGOSSIP — Electronic pioneers Orbital are reuniting.
Founders Paul and Phil Hartnoll have finally decided to put their sibling rivalry behind them and perform three festival shows this summer.
The EDM duo originally parted ways in 2004, but split for a second time in 2012 after “four great years”.
Paul hadn’t spoken to Phil for five years after that split, but was desperate for a reunion despite them hating one another.
They have reunited several times over the years with their last breakup coming in October 2014, when they announced they were “hanging up their iconic torch-glasses and parting ways for the final time”.
However, the ‘Tension’ hitmakers – who have a career spanning more than two decades – are set to perform at Forbidden Fruit in Dublin, Ireland, Hertfordshire’s Standon Calling and the Blue Dot Festival at Jodrell Bank in Manchester over the coming months.
Paul says it is “great” to have his “old job back”.
Speaking about their reunion, he told The Sun Online:
“It doesn’t feel like that. It’s passed in the blink of an eye. The last time we stopped was 2012. However, the time has been filled with solo gigs, solo albums, film scores, so never a dull moment. To be honest, it’s nice to have my old job back.”
Despite their disagreements over the years, Paul says that it was just a matter of letting things work themselves out before getting back to work.
He explained: “It’s been five years of growing older and wiser. It’s always great to have a break. Leaving problems to sort themselves out, solving those riddles. At that time we couldn’t work together any more, I was tired and couldn’t see a way forward so I ploughed on with my own project and then found the head space to look at Orbital again. The vibrancy never died it just needed pausing and then reinvigorating when the time was right.”
Their last record was 2012’s ‘Wonky’ and they are also said to be working on new music.

Nicole Scherzinger's James Arthur duet didn't make his album

OHMYGOSSIP — James Arthur’s duet with Nicole Scherzinger was scrapped from his album.
The ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ hitmaker has revealed the former Pussycat Dolls singer provided the vocals on a verse of his song called ‘Let Me Love The Lonely’, but
the version with Nicole never made the final cut of his comeback record ‘Back from the Edge’.
Speaking about the brunette beauty – who mentored him on the 2012 series of ‘The X Factor’, which he went on to win – he told Idolator.com: “Yeah we actually did record a song, but nothing’s really happened with it. We just got her to record the second verse [of ‘Let Me Love The Lonely’] and to my understanding it was going to be something that we gave away on Spotify. I don’t know what happened really.”
The 29-year-old hunk heaped praised on the 38-year-old beauty and says she doesn’t get the recognition she truly deserves as a singer.
He said: “I think she’s supremely talented. And she’s one of my best friends. She’s so good I don’t think she gets enough credit for how good she is. She’s quality, like genuinely, like a top singer.”
Though nothing came of the track, the still have time to team up in the future, especially with Nicole working on new solo music.
The busty babe teased her three million plus followers on Instagram with a photo of her listening back to her fresh tunes in the studio last month.
Nicole was working late into the night on the music but has spilled no details on the project to her fans.
The accompanying caption read: “Nothing I love more. #studio #music #latenight #create (sic)”
Following her judging stint on the last series of ‘The X Factor’, on which she mentored her act Matt Terry to victory, Nicole has been focusing on her own music again.
After the Pussycat Dolls disbanded in 2010, Nicole released solo album ‘Killer Love’ which featured her number one hit ‘Don’t Hold Your Breath’.

Ellie Goulding dropping new single with Kygo

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellie Goulding features on Kygo’s new song.
The 30-year-old pop beauty hasn’t given fans new music since last year’s ‘Still Falling For You’ from the ‘Bridget Jones’s Baby’ soundtrack, but she has provided the vocals for the new track called ‘First Time’, which drops on Friday (28.04.17).
Sharing the artwork, which features the blonde beauty and the 25-year-old producer on it, Ellie wrote on Instagram: “First Time, coming Friday @kygomusic (sic)”
It’s not known if the song will be on the ‘Army’ hitmaker’s fourth studio album.
Ellie recently revealed that she has been tucked away in the studio in London penning new songs for her follow-up to her 2015 record ‘Delirium’.
She said: “Right not I am writing my fourth album, which is quite insane to think that I’m on my fourth album, at this point – but it’s coming together slowly.
“I’m writing a lot in London in a studio so watch this space.”
Ellie – who is reportedly dating rower Caspar Jopling – stepped away from touring in order to lead a normal life for a while after her ‘Delirium World Tour’, which wrapped up in October 2016.
At the time, she said: “I’m still going to be writing, but it’s been so overwhelming the past few years that it’s time to go away for a little bit and be out of the limelight.
“It’s really a commitment, being on the road; you almost put everything on hold – seeing family, seeing friends. I’ve missed so many weddings and births.
“It will be nice to wake up and know I don’t have anything to do.”

Dr. Luke dropped from Sony

OHMYGOSSIP —
Dr. Luke has reportedly been dropped by Sony Music.
The 43-year-old producer will no longer act as the CEO of Kemosabe Records – which he founded in 2011 – a court has heard, amidst his legal battle with pop star Kesha which saw his protégé accuse him of “mental manipulation, emotional abuse and sexual assault”.
Court documents obtained by The Hollywood Reporter read: “Lukasz Gottwald is no longer the CEO of Kemosabe Records and does not have authority to act on its behalf.”
Despite this, Dr. Luke’s representative Linda Carbone has said that her client’s relationship with Sony is still intact.
She said: “They (Sony) are not cutting ties.
“Can’t get into details but they do have continuing relationship involving Kemosabe.”
However, an insider told The New York Post’s Page Six column his contract expired last month.
The source said: “His contract expired at the end of March so he is no longer CEO (of Kemosabe) but he still has a relationship with Sony.”
Last month, a judge denied Kesha’s request for an amended lawsuit against Dr. Luke.
In late January, the star’s legal team filed a petition arguing that she should be released from her contract with the producer due to unpaid royalties and an alleged unwillingness from Dr. Luke in releasing her third studio album.
She said in her proposed countersuit: “You can get a divorce from an abusive spouse. You can dissolve a partnership if the relationship becomes irreconcilable. The same opportunity – to be liberated from the physical, emotional, and financial bondage of a destructive relationship – should be available to a recording artist.”
However, Dr. Luke claimed it was Kesha who owed him $1.3 million in unpaid royalties, and failed to provide notice and a 30-day cure period.
A New York Supreme Court Justice denied Kesha’s request to amend her counterclaim lawsuit, according to documents.
Kesha also sought declaratory relief when she claimed it would be impossible to perform under the deals due to her acrimonious relationship with Dr. Luke.
The 30-year-old beauty originally sought to end her contract with the label, but Dr. Luke – whose real name is Lukasz Gottwald – reacted by counter-suing Kesha for defamation.
However, it was confirmed in August 2016 that the ‘Tik Tok’ hitmaker’s case had been dropped in order for her to deal with the defamation lawsuit.

Damon Albarn: Liam Gallagher will have one-liner about Noel song

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher and Damon Albarn expect Liam Gallagher to hate their song on the new Gorillaz album.
The former Britpop rivals have teamed up on ‘We Got The Power’ and they are both expecting the 44-year-old rocker to come up with a “fantastic one-liner” about the song, which features on the animated band’s forthcoming LP ‘Humanz’.
Plus Blur frontman Damon has revealed he’d always “promised” the former Oasis guitarist a feature on the record and he thinks it is “cute” that they are singing about “love”.
In an interview with Vulture.com, Damon said: “In a sort of lighthearted way, I’d promised Noel he could be on this record. He was always like, ‘I want to be on the next Gorillaz record’, and I was like, ‘Sure.’ I thought it might be cute, the idea of us singing about the power to love each other. Of course, no one’s asked Liam what he thinks about the song yet. No doubt he’d have a fantastic one-liner about what a bunch of f***ing knob heads we are.”
However, Noel said he doesn’t care what his bitter rival and sibling thinks of their collaboration.
He said: “Listen, nobody gives a f**k what Liam thinks about anything.”
‘Wonderwall’ hitmaker Noel, 49, is hoping Damon, also 49, will repay the favour and feature on his next record.
He said: “Well, he was supposed to play on my new record, but at the time I was recording, he was finishing the Gorillaz record and didn’t have the time. Hopefully next time. I’d like to get him to play melodica on something, which is what he was going to do for me on this record.”
Noel – who will release the next High Flying Birds album in November – also talked about the process of making the track and how he had no idea Savages’ Jehnny Beth was to be featured on the track and how short it would be until he heard the final cut.
He said: “It used to have more singing and different sections in it. When I got sent the final track, and it ends abruptly at two minutes, I was like, Oh. The next time I saw Damon, I said, “It’s a bit f***ing short, isn’t it?”
Noel and Damon may have previously been at loggerheads for years, but Noel says he always plays Gorillaz songs in the car with his kids, and he was over the moon to play a concert with them in London in March.
Asked how the surprise show at Printworks was, Noel – who has daughter Anais, 17, with ex-wife Meg Matthews and sons Sonny, six, and Donovan, nine, with partner Sara MacDonald – said: “Great. I like Gorillaz. Me and my missus and our kids play their records in the car all the time.”

Serge Pizzorno ignores his social media critics

OHMYGOSSIP — Serge Pizzorno doesn’t have Twitter or Facebook because he doesn’t want to read fan reviews.
The 36-year-old Kasabian star has revealed he doesn’t wish to read criticism of his music on social media websites, and is instead focused on creating the tunes he enjoys listening to.
Explaining his thinking, Serge said: “After the first album, I shot off on every single voice because, I just thought, reviews, fans, I can’t deal with. I’m not doing it for that, it makes me really happy to be in the studio and make a tune.
“I love it, and I always want to feel that I don’t ever want to think, it’s just pure expression. If I want to make German techno tune, then I’m going to make one. I don’t care. If I want to make a classical piece, a soundtrack, I don’t want any other voice telling me I can’t do it, or I shouldn’t. I’m not into that.”
As a result, the rocker doesn’t have a Twitter or Facebook account.
He told Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio: “That’s the freedom, and that’s why I don’t have a Twitter or Facebook, I haven’t got any of the business. I’m not interested in any of it.”
Meanwhile, Serge recently revealed his thought process behind Kasabian’s new album ‘For Crying Out Loud’, saying it marks a new direction for the band.
He explained: “I just wanted to make a guitar record that was relevant and important. It’s been a while since that happened.
“We always react against our previous work. I did massively experimental synth work on the last record so I just looked at my Rickenbacker in the corner of the studio and thought ‘that’s what I’m gonna do’. I just started smashing tunes out on that.”

Damon Albarn teases possibility of Blur reunion in the future

OHMYGOSSIP — Damon Albarn has said there’s a possibility for more Blur music in the future.
The 49-year-old musician first found fame in the 1990s recording with the popular rock band, and whilst he is set to release a new album with other project Gorillaz on Friday (28.04.17), he hasn’t completely left his roots behind as he says he’ll “never say never” when it comes to Blur.
When asked if the ‘Parklife’ hitmakers – which also features Graham Coxon, Alex James, and Dave Rowntree – would ever release a follow-up to 2015’s ‘Magic Whip’, Damon said: “We’re all really good friends. And I feel like I’ve given many of my best years to Blur, so I don’t feel guilty in that sense. I’ve never said I’d never make another record. It’s all the same thing at the end of the day. It’s the nuances that make it different. It’s just more music, to add to the mountain of music there already is.”
And although he might not have completely put his Blur days behind him, the wait for any new music might be a long one as Damon also admits he’s planning on working on new music for alternative rock super-group The Good, The Bad, and The Queen – made up of Damon alongside ex-Clash bassist Paul Simonon, former Verve keyboard player Simon Tong and Afrobeat drumming legend Tony Allen.
He told Rolling Stone magazine: “I’m doing another record with the Good the Bad and the Queen. We’re doing that in May. That’s not GarageBand at all. That’s just the four of us playing live, straight on the floor.”
Meanwhile, Damon previously said he has over 40 unused tracks which he believes will keep him in the music industry for “at least another 18 months”.
He said: “I’m just sort of slowly going through all tunes that sort of didn’t work out and finishing them.
“I can stay in the game for at least another 18 months, I reckon.”

Steps promise many hits on tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Steps have promised to “get as many hits” as they can into their upcoming tour.
The group – which is formed of Lee Latchford-Evans, Claire Richards, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer and Ian “H” Watkins – are set to embark on a comeback tour in late 2017 and Claire has “guaranteed” that fans will get to hear some of the band’s biggest hits and have a “good old boogie”.
She said: “The one thing we can guarantee is that we’re going to get as many hits in there as we possibly can. As fans of other music ourselves, when we go and see a concert, you want to see all the hits, you want to be able to get up and have a good old boogie.”
The band decided to make a comeback to mark their 20th anniversary and all of them are stunned by the response.
Lee said: “We don’t really have a choice on coming back now because it’s twenty years. So it’s a celebration really of being together for twenty years.”
Whilst H added: “We were always going to celebrate in some way, we just didn’t know the response was going to be this phenomenal.”
And speaking to BUILD in London, Lisa shared: “The nice thing is we genuinely get on. We work and we tend to have a few drinks after and we all eat together and what have you.
“I don’t think we should be having this much fun at work really guys!”
Meanwhile, the band previously revealed they are going to be paying “homage” to their videos when they go on tour.
H said: “We always wanted to celebrate in some way. We were talking about a one-off gig at the Royal Albert Hall but now it’s turned into a tour at 22 arenas, a single, album and a tidal wave of love … We’re gonna give everybody what they want and we’re going to ask everybody for their ideas, tweet us, Facebook us and we’re going to pay homage to our old videos.”
