OHMYGOSSIP — Gwen Stefani is “hoping” that her eldest son can make it as a pop star.
The 53-year-old singer recently saw Kingston, 17, join his country singer stepdad Blake Shelton on stage and is now guiding him as he considers a pop career as he has a “heap of musical talent”.
A source told this week’s edition of Star magazine: “Gwen and Blake want Kingston to not take things ultra seriously.
“But there’s hope that he can make it to the top. Gwen has always known he has a heap of musical talent.
“She used to joke he was a superstar in the making. He’s looking to his mom and Blake for advice with his playing technique, how he carries himself and the types of songs that suit his abilities!”
Earlier this year, the ‘Hollaback Girl’ hitmaker travelled to the UK to support Pink on tour and brought her brood along with her, sons Kingston, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 10, whose dad is Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, Gwen’s ex-husband.
Although she was proud that her boys got to see her on stage, Gwen accepts that they will always see her as “just mom”.
During an appearance on UK TV show ‘Lorraine’, when Gwen was asked if they think she is the “coolest mom”, she replied: “Absolutely not! They’re just like, ‘Oh, that’s my mom’ I think that they love me. I love them. They’re here in London actually.
“They’re having so much fun and they’re like, ‘Wow, we’re in London!’ It’s been so long since we’ve all been here with the pandemic and everything going on, it feels like time has just fast-forwarded.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams has been gifted a Tottenham shirt after performing the club’s new chant.
Spurs supporters have adapted Robbie’s 1997 hit ‘Angels’ in honour of their new Australian manager Ange Postecoglou and the former Take That star posted a video of himself performing the alternative lyrics on Instagram last month.
The Premier League club has now recognised Robbie’s support by giving shirts to him and his family.
In a clip shared on Tottenham’s social media page, he said: “This is my first unboxing video.
“I know who this is from because I just read it. It’s got a cockerel on it. I am actually excited.”
The 49-year-old singer proudly showed off a Spurs home strip with his name written on the back and he was touched that the club also provided kits for his wife Ayda Field and children Teddy, ten, Charlie, eight, Coco, four, and three-year-old Beau.
Robbie said: “You’ve got an Ayda. Bless you, COYS (Come on You Spurs). Absolute COYS.”
The ‘Let Me Entertain You’ singer is a supporter of his hometown club Port Vale but confessed to having a fondness for both Spurs and Australia that inspired him to perform the song.
Robbie told talkSPORT: “I’ve got a soft spot for Spurs. A fondness for Spurs and a love of Australia.
“I’ve always wanted one of my songs to be sung on the terraces.”
Postecoglou confirmed that he is a fan of the new tune and thinks Robbie is a “great entertainer”.
The 58-year-old coach said: “Look, I love Robbie Williams, I think he’s brilliant, a great entertainer. He did the song, I think it came off the back of one of our supporters.
“Look it’s great, the alternative is they make up songs about you that are less than complimentary.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Blink-182 are teasing new music with a series of posters and a mystery website.
The ‘All The Small Things’ hitmakers returned with singer Tom DeLonge last year with new single ‘Edging’ and confirmed plans for their ninth album, which he claimed late last month was “only weeks (days) away”.
Now, promotional posters have popped up in numerous locations, featuring the Blink-182 logo and the phrase “One more time…”
According to the Blink-182 Italia fan account on X (formerly Twitter), the background of the posters also include what seem to be song lyrics.
They read: “Do I have to die to hear you miss me? Do I have to die to hear you say goodbye?
“I don’t want to act like there’s tomorrow, I don’t want to wait to do this one more time.”
A QR code included on the poster takes the fans to a ‘stall’ page on the official Blink-182 website.
When clicking through, it says the site is “closed for maintenance” and shows someone cleaning off some Blink-related graffiti with various classic tracks in the background.
A brief snippet of new material is heard before the end of the video.
Last month, DeLonge – who is back with bandmates Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker – teased that the upcoming collection is their “best album” yet.
Promoting his new collaboration with Fender, he said in an interviewer: “I still think we’re writing our best songs. I think our album coming out is probably our best album we’ve ever made.
“The production that we brought on this [US] tour is finally the first perfect, cohesive branding and symbol of everything that the band is about.
“It’s got the nostalgia in there and the history in there, but it’s also got the fun and reverence and childhood charm. And it’s got the rebellion, but it’s got the technology too.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Drake has thrilled fans by finally setting a release date for his new album ‘For All the Dogs’.
The rapper/singer has been teasing the launch of his new record – the follow-up to 2022’s ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ – for weeks, recently unveiling the artwork which was drawn by his five-year-old son Adonis and telling his followers the album would be “coming soon” – however, he’s now confirmed the launch date will be sooner than expected with the album scheduled to drop on September 22.
Drake made the announcement by sharing an old video of his singer dad Dennis Graham performing on 1990s Canadian TV series ‘Stormy Monday With Danny Marks’ on Instagram and captioning it: “For All The Dogs September 22.”
The chart star previously confirmed a new album was on the way back in June after revealed he had also co-written a poetry book called ‘Titles Ruin Everything’. In a social media post, Drake wrote: “I made an album to go with the book. They say they miss the old Drake girl don’t tempt me. FOR ALL THE DOGS.”
Last month, Drake teased he “got a chance” to “listen to” the finished record and that it will be “coming real soon”. The ‘Rich Flex’ star was speaking to the crowd at his concert at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, on August 16. He also teased a collaboration with Latin superstar Bad Bunny – whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio – will feature on his eighth studio album.
Speaking at the same Los Angeles venue on his ‘It’s All A Blur’ tour, Drake told the crowd: “I want to tell y’all something ’cause y’all are L.A., and we love you. It’s been like six years since me and Benito did a song. So, we got a song coming for y’all on my album.” Bunny, who previously joined forces with the rapper in 2018 on ‘Mia’ from his debut album ‘X 100pre’, was in attendance at the concert.

OHMYGOSSIP — BLACKPINK star Lisa Manobal is to perform at the famous Crazy Horse cabaret club in Paris.
The 26-year-old K-pop idol will headline five exclusive shows at the legendary French venue – located on Avenue George V – on September 28, 29 and 30.
The singer-and-dancer’s performances will include solo spots and routines with the in-house troupe and will feature original numbers from the cabaret’s repertoire which will include ‘Crisis? What Crisis?’ and ‘But I Am a Good Girl’.
Announcing her upcoming shows, Crazy Horse said in a statement: “Come and discover Lisa transformed into a ‘Crazy Girl’, performing original Crazy Horse Paris acts, including the classics ‘But I am a Good Girl’ and ‘Crisis? What Crisis!?'”
Lisa is the latest in a long line of guest stars to grace the Crazy Horse stage, with previous names including Pamela Anderson, Dita Von Teese, Carmen Electra and Conchita Wurst.
Tickets for the performances are available from the Crazy Horse website and are priced at €250 each and capped at 10 tickets per transaction.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK – also comprised of Jisoo, Jennie and Rosé – recently released an animated music video for their new single ‘The Girls’, which is taken from the soundtrack of their mobile game ‘BLACKPINK The Game’.
The girl group will finish their year-long ‘Born Pink’ tour later this month with two final concerts in Seoul on September 16 and 17.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sydney Sweeney says starring in the video for The Rolling Stones’ new single ‘Angry’ is the “biggest thing ever”.
The ‘Euphoria’ actress is seen rocking out to the track as she drives through American streets in the back of a red convertible car as billboards featuring the legendary band come alive.
Sydney, 25, was a surprise guest at a special event held at the Hackney Empire in London and hosted by Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (06.09.23) at which band members Sir Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood unveiled the single and video and announced new album ‘Hackney Diamonds’, the group’s first studio LP for 18 years.
When asked about her starring role in the promo, Sydney – who was accompanied by her mother Lisa – said: “This is the biggest thing ever. I didn’t know it was going to be the first single but I love the song, it’s stuck in my head.”
‘The White Lotus’ star admitted that “freaked out and called my family” after being asked to appear in the video, which is directed by Francois Rousselet.
During the interview with Fallon, 48, Jagger revealed that the first single’s title almost inspired the theme of the entire record, but he and songwriting partner Richards, 79, then came up with a host of ballads.
The singer said: “We thought the theme of the album should be anger.
“We had a second idea, which was to make them a bit more eclectic, with ballads. So we’ve got a mixture.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Synth-pop legend Vince Clarke is releasing a new solo LP.
The 63-year-old songwriter – whose previous bands include Depeche Mode, Erasure and Yazoo – has announced the details for ‘Songs Of Silence’, which will be released on November 17 via Mute Records, and first single ‘The Lamentations Of Jeremiah’.
The instrumental album has been entirely composed using Eurorack – a modular synthesizer format originally specified in 1995 by Doepfer Musikelektronik famed for its limitless configurations.
Confirming the 10-track record, Vince said: “I could have gone on forever, I could have not stopped.
“I was enjoying the process so much and wasn’t thinking about anyone else hearing it. But hearing it develop in my studio, in my head, learning new tricks – that’s been the best thing about this. I was in a state of shock, actually, when Mute said they wanted to release this album.”
The majority of the album was recorded in his home studio in New York, with Vince starting sessions as a creative distraction during the enforced COVID-19 lockdowns.
As well as exclusively composing the tracks on Eurorack, the ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ hitmaker also stuck to the artistic rule that each song would be centred around one note, maintaining a single key throughout.
Clarke has described the tracks as “having a sense of sadness, of things going bad, things crumbling”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dionne Warwick has vowed to never create music using artificial intelligence – even if she was offered the chance to sing with her late cousin Whitney Houston.
The 82-year-old soul legend has given the world a host of iconic songs such as ‘Heartbreaker’, ‘Walk on By’ and ‘That’s What Friends Are For’ but she has no interest in her music or the tracks of her late friends – such as Whitney and Michael Jackson – being created with the help of AI technology.
When asked if she would ever use AI to duet with her old friends – which includes Michael Jackson – she said: “No. I wouldn’t.”
Dionne also addressed whether she would be interested in having a biopic on her life and career made by Hollywood.
The singer was so happy with the documentary ‘Dionne Warwick: Don’t Make Me Over’ that was made by Dave Wooley and David Heilbroner for CNN that she doesn’t think a movie would add much to her story.
In an interview with DailyMail.com, she said: “I have a biography out now. It is called ‘Don’t Make Me Over’. It was first aired on CNN. And it was so well received, won many honours already at film festivals. I’m not even looking at a film on Dionne Warwick. If it happens, it’s wonderful…
“I am happy with my biography, the film was well received and as I said, it won many, many honours, which I’m thrilled about and it’s very good. It really is. It’s great if I say so myself.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Akon has been able to include “more of an African influence” in his work because he doesn’t feel any financial pressures.
The 50-year-old star enjoyed huge success earlier in his career with various hit singles, such as ‘Lonely’ and ‘Locked Up’, but his musical style has evolved over time and he no longer feels the pressure to make hits.
The singer – who was born in the US, but also spent time in Senegal as a child – told ‘BBC Newsbeat’: “Music is not my first revenue stream now, it has dropped down to maybe the tenth.”
Akon believes that the financial freedom has allowed him to “add more culture” to his songs.
He explained: “I can enjoy doing it without dealing with politics, and the music business that comes with it.”
Akon’s new EP, ‘Afro Freaks’, draws heavily from Afrobeats, a genre that has become hugely popular around the world in recent years thanks to artists such as Wizkid and Burna Boy.
However, Akon remembers a time when the genre was dismissed by record executives in the US.
The singer – who has worked with the likes of Eminem and Snoop Dogg during his career – shared: “I remember back in the early 2000s, when I was trying to market and get Afrobeats in America signed, they thought it was Reggae music.
“It was one of the things that was so frustrating, trying to get them to understand the African population was so big, and this music will be the future.
“Unfortunately, I got a lot of pushback.”
Akon believes that social media has played a big role in the success of the genre.
He said: “I think social media had a huge role to play in expanding the sound of different genres, because we didn’t really have any platforms.”

OHMYGOSSIP — New Kids on the Block have given their 2008 reunion album ‘The Block’ a makeover to mark its 15th anniversary.
The pop group are reissuing the record as a deluxe collection titled ‘The Block Revisited’ and it includes four previously unreleased songs as well as bonus material and a new remix of the track ‘Dirty Dancing’ with the release scheduled for November.
Bandmember Donnie Wahlberg said of the re-release: “’The Block’ album didn’t only mark the reunion of our band, it sparked the reunion of our band with our fans! I could never overestimate how much the songs and the spirit of this album mean to all of us.
“The Block Revisited’ is a celebration of the magical bond that we’ve built over the last 15 years.”
The news was also announced on the band’s Twitter page in a statement which read: “Blockheads!!!! We’re excited to finally announce OFFICIALLY … ‘The Block Revisited’!
“A special 15th anniversary edition of ‘The Block’ featuring bonus material, never-released fan favourite song ‘Coming Home’, new remixes more! Out November 3rd!”
‘The Block’ marked the band’s first album in 14 years as they came back together in 2008 following their split in 1994. It featured tracks including ‘Summertime’ and ‘Single’ as well as ‘Big Girl Now’ which was a collaboration with Lady Gaga, who also supported the group on their subsequent tour of North America and Europe.
The re-issue will also feature audio recordings from Wahlberg’s late mother, Alma, as well as Joey McIntyre’s late father, Tom.
Alma – who was also mum to actor and one-time NKOTB member Mark Wahlberg – passed away in 2021 at the age of 78.
Donnie previously said of his late mother:”She made no apologies for who she was, but never put herself above anyone else. She kicked our butts if we messed up, kicked anyone else’s butts if they messed with us. Taught us right, made us pay the price when we were wrong,” Donnie Wahlberg wrote Sunday. “She was the epitome of the word grace.”
Joey’s dad Tom died in 2018 at the age of 87.

The ‘Space Man’ singer, 34, has reportedly parted ways with Parlophone – with whom he signed in 2020 after becoming a viral star – only a year after he rose to global fame in the 2023 Eurovision song contest.
A music insider told The Sun: “Sam had a one-album deal with Parlophone and when the contract ended, he and the label decided it was best to go their separate ways.
“He is eager to go in a new musical direction so is going to try something new next time around.
“It’s been an amicable split, though, and Sam is feeling positive about what’s next.”
Sam was crowned winner of the Ultimate UK Eurovision Song competition following a vote to discover the nation’s favourite entry and
last year came second in the Eurovision Song Contest in Italy, with his ‘Space Man’ hit giving the UK its best result for more than 20 years.
He has performed at Wembley Stadium with Queen, collaborated with David Guetta and Sigala on ‘Living Without You’ and hit No1 with his ‘There’s Nothing but Space, Man!’ album.
The singer-songwriter recently received his first ever Emmy nomination for the ‘Ted Lasso’ song ‘Fought and Lost’.
He insisted in an interview with The Sun entering Eurovision can help musicians’ careers, adding: “The UK has such a diverse plethora of talent and all I can hope is that what happened this year has encouraged more people from those diverse genres and backgrounds to think, ‘Eurovision isn’t a career killer.’”

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher has secretly recorded new music with the Black Keys.
The ex-Oasis rocker, 56, is currently touring his latest High Flying Birds album ‘Council Skies’ but revealed he collaborated with the blues-rock duo after they asked him to write with them for their upcoming record.
He said on comedy writer Matt Morgan’s Patreon podcast about working with guitarist Dan Auerbach, 44, and 43-year-old drummer Patrick Carney: “Recently, I was writing with the Black Keys, and I’d never really met them before.
“That really did work.”
When Matt asked him to describe the sound of their upcoming material, Noel revealed: “If you can imagine (the sound of) my good self and them, that’s what it is.
“It’s not swampy bluest, and it’s not my kind of guitar-pop or whatever you want to call it.
“It’s somewhere in between – it’s really f****** good. There’s a song called ‘It’s Only Love that Matters’, and it’s really f****** good.
“I’d met Patrick maybe once, but I don’t know them, and they called up my office and asked if I’d be interested in writing with them for their next record.
‘And I happened to be around and I was like, ‘Yeah, f*** it.’ So I got a guitar and am amp and went down to the studio the first day and introduced myself. “There was like four of them and we went at it and did like three tunes in five days.
“(Patrick) and Dan would sit opposite each other, and somebody would play a drum beat.
“(Dan would) come up with a chord and I’d be like, ‘What if it went there?’
“The tunes we’ve done together are pretty cool I think.
“I don’t know (when they’re coming out.) I’d say next year now. There was five of them and one of me – I really enjoyed it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Agnetha Fältskog has hinted all four members of Abba could reunite at next year’s Eurovision.
The 73-year-old singer was part of the group’s Abba Voyage shows at a purpose-built arena in Stratford, east London, which was seen by more than a million fans, and has now given fans hope the group will attend Eurovision in their native Sweden in May 2024 – the 50th anniversary of their win at the contest with their hit ‘Waterloo’.
Her ex-husband bandmate Björn Ulvaeus, 78, had previously rubbished the idea of them appearing at the contest, but Agnetha told The Sun when asked if there were any plans to perform with her fellow Abba members at Eurovision: “You never know anything about Abba and when we’re going to… well, I won’t say anything about that.
“I’d rather be quiet.”
Abba said after their Voyages show launched they were planning to use the concert holograms for “exciting new things” in future.
The group – which also features Benny Andersson, 76, and 77-year-old Anni-Frid Lyngstad – were quoted in the Daily Star newspaper as saying: “If you are an Abba fan, who loyally has stuck with us for many years, our hope is that you will see the Abba-tars as agents in the new story, which may lead to exciting new things in the future.”
The comment prompted speculation the holograms could appear in everything from pop-up musical projections to advertisements.
Abba, who reunited in 2016, originally consisted of couples Agnetha and Björn, and Benny and Anni-Frid.
But the band went their separate ways in 1982 after both pairs went their separate ways.
Agnetha and Björn split officially in 1980, while Benny and Anni-Frid announced their divorce in 1981.
After a week of their divorce, Björn had a new partner and Agnetha was in counselling.
In 2013, she opened up about her emotions singing in Abba’s ‘The Winner Takes it All’, which was written during her and Björn’s split.
She said: “Björn wrote it about us after the breakdown of our marriage.
“The fact he wrote it exactly when we divorced is touching really.
“I didn’t mind. It was fantastic to do that song because I could put in such feeling.
“I didn’t mind sharing it with the public. It didn’t feel wrong. There is so much in that song.
“It was a mixture of what I felt and what Björn felt but also what Benny and Frida went through.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher has opened up about his spat with Evan Dando.
The former Oasis songwriter, 56, once ‘co-wrote’ a tune called ‘Purple Parallelogram’ with the Lemonheads frontman, also 56, at the peak of Oasis’ fame in the 1990s, which was never released.
Noel has now claimed Evan constantly recorded them messing around on guitars together and suddenly told Noel he was going to put out one of their tunes – sparking an immediate backlash from the Britpop icon.
Noel told Matt Morgan’s Patreon podcast: “We were in this festival circuit in 1994 and on every festival that year was Oasis and the Lemonheads.
“Them, us, the Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy and House of Pain.
“Evan always had a tape recorder and he was always like, ‘Hey, man, let’s record a song’.
“Then he went and did it and recorded it and was like, ‘I’m going to put it out.’ “And it was a bit, ‘Hang on a minute – you can’t do that.’
“I heard it and I didn’t like it and it was like, ‘No’.
“It was a bit awkward.”
According to an NME story in the ’90s, the song was pulled when “Sony Music, the company who publishes Noel Gallagher’s songs objected to the release”.
Evan has said the tune was inspired by drug use, adding: “I’d been saying this phrase which actually denotes a certain substance.
“It was prescribed to me, a legal drug, Eurythnol, ’cos I’d had trouble sleeping and we’d been out in Amsterdam trying to score drugs all night and couldn’t find any.
“Noel got up the next morning singing this song ‘Purple Parallelogram’, ’cos that’s what I called them, and we finished the song that night at the table at some hotel.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Midge Ure is convinced his chart battle with Joe Dolce actually made Ultravox’s hit ‘Vienna’ a bigger success in the long-run.
The new wave band’s track was pitched against Joe’s ‘Shaddap You Face’ in the race for the UK number one spot back in February 1981 but the novelty song won out and kept ‘Vienna’ off the top of the UK Singles Chart for three weeks.
‘Vienna’ peaked at number two but still became the band’s biggest hit – and Midge is convinced ‘Shaddap You Face’ had a lot to do with how the song is remembered. He told Classic Pop magazine: “That ghost will never be laid to rest. It’s the novelty factor. That’s why people are still talking about ‘Vienna’ today. If it had got to number one, no one would be bothered.”
The band’s album of the same name also missed out on the top spot as it failed to overtake Kate Bush’s classic record ‘Hounds of Love’ but Midge insists he didn’t feel bad about it because he was a fan of the singer’s work. He joked: “I bought ‘Hounds of Love’ so I probably shot myself in the foot there.”
Midge and Kate went on to work together, recording the track ‘Sister and Brother’ for his 1988 solo album ‘Answers to Nothing’.
The musician went on to talk about his lengthy career in the spotlight – insisting he found the best way to deal with the highs and lows is to not take yourself too seriously.
He added: “Sometimes you’re a genius and the next you’re a moron. That’s how life is. You can’t take it too seriously. ”
He previously opened up about his love of music in an interview with the Glasgow Times and insisted his years in Ultravox were some of the best of his life. Midge said: “Ultravox was a great band to be in, it was a great time to be in a band.”
He added: “Music’s a wonderful thing, like smells, you hear something, or you smell something and it instantly takes you back. With music from the past it instantly takes you back to who you were hanging about with and what you were wearing and who you thought you wanted to be when you were a kid, and it’s one of the few things that can actually do that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga honoured the late Tony Bennett as she resumed her Las Vegas residency.
The 37-year-old singer played her first ‘Jazz and Piano’ show since the death of her friend and frequent collaborator at the age of 96 in July and in footage captured by audience members at the performance on Thursday (31.08.23), Gaga dedicated a song to Tony’s wife Susan Benedetto – who was thought to be in attendance.
The ‘Rain on Me’ singer said: “Susan, everybody in this audience loves you so much.
“The truth is I didn’t know exactly what to say about Tony because this whole show was for Tony, everything. The opening number, the middle number, all the diamonds, all the musical instruments, all the conducting, all the improvisation was in his memory.”
Gaga then revealed how Tony – who she collaborated with on the albums ‘Cheek to Cheek’ and ‘Love for Sale’ – would have wanted her to continue with the performance.
She explained before performing a slowed-down version of ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ : “But if I know Tony well, I know he would be real mad at me for being sad, so I couldn’t come out here and be sad. I sung this song while Tony was still alive, and I’m going to sing it now even though he’s gone, because he’ll never be gone.”
Gaga had previously vowed to keep “celebrating” the legendary entertainer in a social media post last month to mark what would have been Bennett’s 97th birthday.
