Emma Chamberlain is the new face of Lancome.

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Chamberlain is the new face of Lancome.
The Gen-Z YouTube star turned fashion model was chosen for “authentic tone” and “humour” to represent the L’Oreal-owned label.
Francoise Lehmann, the luxury beauty brand’s international president said: “I am proud to welcome Emma to the Lancôme family.
“Beside achieving so much at such an early age, Emma is adored by a generation for the perspectives that she shares. We can only appreciate her humour, and the authentic tone used to discuss meaningful topics.”
In the summer, Emma – who was chosen to host Vogue magazine’s online red carpet coverage at the Met Gala last year – described how she goes “blank” during high-profile events when talking about the viral moment when rapper Jack Harlow told her he “loved” her.
She said: “Like, when I’m doing these interviews, blank up here. Like, I have no thoughts. And when I go home, and I watch the interviews again, I’m, like, watching a completely different person. I have no idea I’m not thinking about anything and then I’m, like, reacting to myself.”
The Chamberlain Coffee founder also made a return to the video-sharing platform, revealing it was how she makes new pals.
In the clip filmed on the streets of New York, Emma said: “This is how I make friends. I don’t know how to make friends anymore. I haven’t made a friend in a really long time. Ugh. This is making me feel like a f***** prank channel.”

Gwen Stefani was keen to ‘create a community of makeup lovers’ with GXVE

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwen Stefani was keen to “create a community of makeup lovers” with GXVE.
The ‘Cool’ hitmaker cited how people all wear cosmetics for “different” reasons and longed to celebrate that with her beauty line.
The 53-year-old singer told Allure magazine: “I wanted to create a community of makeup lovers like me. We all have different colour skin and all have different things that we wear different colors for.”
Gwen – who has sons Kingston, 16, Zuma, 14, and Apollo, eight, with her ex Gavin Rossdale – claimed that after learning about Harajuku culture, something she heavily relied on, that was “Japanese and I didn’t know it” after being hit with cultural appropriation allegations.
She said: “That was my Japanese influence and that was a culture that was so rich with tradition, yet so futuristic [with] so much attention to art and detail and discipline and it was fascinating to me.
“I said, ‘My God, I’m Japanese and I didn’t know it.'”
The ex No Doubt star – who is married to country music sensation and ‘The Voice’ judge Blake Shelton – labelled it not “right” to be called out for being insensitive for using it as part of her 00s aesthetic.
Gwen said: “If [people are] going to criticize me for being a fan of something beautiful and sharing that, then I just think that doesn’t feel right. I think it was a beautiful time of creativity… a time of the ping-pong match between Harajuku culture and American culture.”

Florence Pugh is ‘happy’ with all her skimpy style choices after the Valentino gown furore

OHMYGOSSIP — Florence Pugh is “happy” with all her skimpy style choices.
The ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ star admitted to not wanting to “offend” but remains confused as to why people were vitriolic about the sheer Valentino gown she wore to the Italian fashion house’s show this summer.
The 27-year-old actress told American Vogue: “I’ve never been scared of what’s underneath the fabric. If I’m happy in it, then I’m gonna wear it. Of course, I don’t want to offend people, but I think my point is: How can my nipples offend you that much?”
Last July, Florence quipped that “technically” her boobs were “covered” before clapping back at the immense backlash, asserting “not a wink of me was nervous” to sport the hot pink frock “before, during or even now after”.
In a fiery Instagram post, she said: “What’s been interesting to watch and witness is just how easy it is for men to totally destroy a woman’s body, publicly, proudly, for everyone to see. It isn’t the first time and certainly won’t be the last time a woman will hear what’s wrong with her body by a crowd of strangers. What’s worrying is just how vulgar some of you men can be.”
The ‘Little Women’ star mused that she was secure with “intricacies of my body” and was okay with “all of the flaws I couldn’t bear to look at when I was 14,”.
Florence added: “I’ve lived in my body for a long time. I’m fully aware of my breast size and am not scared of it.”

The 25-year-old model – who is the daughter of comedian Steve Harvey – has opened up about her beauty routine, revealing that she looks forward to her skincare regimen.

What’s more, Lori believes that she’s “growing and evolving” in a broader sense.
She said: “Patience is a virtue. Being patient with myself as I’m growing and evolving.”
Lori launched her own skincare brand, SKN by LH, in 2021.
The model managed to create the brand without any financial help from her parents, and she’s very proud of what she’s managed to accomplish.
She said: “That has arguably been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my life, but also one of the most rewarding and fulfilling, because this is the first thing that I’ve really been able to call my own thing, that I built from the ground up.
“It would’ve been very easy for me to just ask my parents to connect me with people and set it up, and I’ll just slap my name on it and go about my day. But I really wanted to learn the ins and outs of the business.
“I wanted to be very hands-on with everything I was doing, and I wanted to make the mistakes, so that I could learn from them and really know how to be a businesswoman at the end of the day.”

Tracee Ellis Ross says a hairdryer was ‘part of the original dream’ of Pattern

OHMYGOSSIP — Tracee Ellis Ross says a hairdryer was “part of the original dream” of hair care line Pattern.
The ex ‘Blackish’ star – and daughter of Motown superstar Diana Ross – admitted “from the beginning” of her Black centric hair product line she wanted to develop a heat styling tool as she has personally needed one.
The 50-year-old actress told InStyle magazine: “This evolution of Pattern has been a part of the original dream from the beginning. For me, heat has always been a genuine tool for possibility and a way to imagine all of the many things that my hair can do. [Plus,] I have discovered because of my job, letting my hair air dry is not an option when you have a 5:00 a.m. call.”
Tracee – who devised the Pattern Blow Dryer with four attachments for a retail price of $189 – revealed she believes in the importance of being “mindful” of styling with hot temperatures.
She said: “It’s heat, so you have to be mindful of heat — it just is what it is. But it doesn’t have to get so hot. I have used particular dryers where when I first used them I was like, ‘Holy moly.’ Or [sometimes] you’re diffusing, and all of a sudden it’s like putting your face next to a space heater.”
The ex ‘Girlfriends’ star longs for her band to “exceed the needs” of natural hair.
Tracee said: “The runway for what it takes to [create styling tools] and actually change those kinds of designs so that they meet our needs really takes time. So like with everything at Pattern, if I can do it in a way that it feels like it really matches the needs of our community, and is actually going to function in a way that is filling a void, then absolutely [we’ll create more]. The mission of the brand is to exceed the needs of the curly, coily, and tight-textured community.”

Katie Piper loves ‘mismatching’ her Pandora jewellery.

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Piper loves “mismatching” her Pandora jewellery.
The ex ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star adores the “freedom” of mixing up her earrings when at star-studded events.
The 39-year-old television personality and advocate for acid attack survivors told Hello! magazine: “I’ve been wearing Pandora on the red carpet for quite a long time and I’m really into mismatching stuff. In my ears I like to wear studs, hoops, and really mismatch the metals – I love freedom of it. I particularly like the rose-gold pieces on my skin tone. I wore some to the National Television Awards and got so many comments asking me where it was from.
“Then I wore quite a lot of colorful rings the other day and stacked them all across multiple fingers – it’s all quite dainty, so you can stack and stack and it won’t feel overbearing.”
Katie – who has two daughters Belle Elizabeth, eight, and Penelope Diane, five, with her husband Richard Sutton – revealed how she loves to have “fun” with her jewels and suggests ways others can experiment as well.
She said: “Usually I look at the clarity and the brilliance and go for clear stones, but at the moment I’ve been having fun pairing my jewellery with the colours in my outfit – I recently wore a bright Valentino-style fuschia look and accessorised with a lot of pink stones. Colour clashing is great, too – if you’re a little scared to do it with your clothes, you can flirt with your jewellery.”

At the time, a rep said: “Whilst 2019 was a challenging year, the business halved its losses – a significant step in the road to profitability. The launch of the hugely successful beauty line in the same year helped drive overall revenues up seven per cent on 2018 and both businesses are focussed on profitable growth.
“The showcase of the recent AW21 fashion collection has been well-received by fashion critics and the beauty business has seen multiple sell-out products in recent months.”

Jennifer Coolidge’s dress still being made night before Golden Globes

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Coolidge’s Golden Globes dress was still being sewn “until late” the night before the event.
The ‘White Lotus’ actress attended this year’s ceremony at The Beverly Hilton in California on Tuesday (10.01.23) in an off-the-shoulder gown by Dolce and Gabbana and the fashion house had a race against time to get the outfit ready.
Her stylist, Gaelle Paul, told E! News the brand’s team were “sewing until late last night” so the black dress, which was embellished with Swarovski crystals, would shimmer at its best on the red carpet.
The 61-year-old actress chose the fashion house to pay tribute to her work on the HBO series.
Gaelle explained: “Jennifer has a great eye. Dolce really understands how to build the perfect dress for her
“There were a lot of Dolce and Gabbana dresses in ‘The White Lotus’. So, tonight she is wearing Dolce and Gabbana!”
While presenting the Best Supporting Actor in a TV Musical/Comedy or Drama award, Jennifer – who mistakenly announced the winner of “the Oscar” – joked about her footwear fears on the overly waxed floors and her horror that she was advised to “wear a pair of Crocs.”
She quipped: “And I said, ‘What, are you kidding me? With my Dolce and Gabbana dress, you know, all those crazy Italians would lose their minds!’”
Jennifer won the Best Supporting Actress – Television Limited Series/ Motion Picture accolade at the ceremony for her work on ‘The White Lotus’ and made the show’s creator, Mike White, cry with her speech.
The ‘American Pie’ actress thanked the likes of Ryan Murphy, Reese Witherspoon and Michael Patrick King for the opportunities they have given her over the years before turning her attention to Mike.
She said: “I had such big dreams and expectations as a younger person, but what happened is they get sort of fizzled by life. I thought I was going to be queen of Monaco even though someone else did it.
“And then you get older and think, ‘Oh, what the fuck is going to happen? And, Mike white, you have given me hope. You’ve given me a new beginning.”

Kaley Cuoco avoided Golden Globe designer stress

OHMYGOSSIP — Kaley Cuoco’s stylist wanted her to wear Vera Wang to the Golden globe Awards to avoid causing “stress” for the pregnant star.
The ‘Flight Attendant’ actress – who is due to give birth to her first child in two months time – walked the red carpet at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Tuesday (10.01.23) in a lavender silk chiffon empire-waist gown with a hand-pleated bodice and crystal embellishments custom made by the designer and Brad Goreski was keen to work with Vera because she’s previously created successful high-profile gowns for his client.
He explained: “I was in New York for Thanksgiving and at the Polo Bar, and at the next table was my friend, Priya Shukla, who’s head of Vera’s PR team.
“That felt like kismet. We talked about how perfect it would be for Vera to do Kaley’s dress for the Globes, and from there I went back to Kaley.
“I pitched the idea early because we’ve worked with Vera and had so much success with her; the neon fluorescent gown Kaley wore to the Emmys was a huge hit. But also because she’s pregnant, I wanted to work with someone Kaley knows and feels comfortable with, to ensure there was no added stress.”
Kaley and Brad first brainstormed ideas and settled on the colour first.
He told The Hollywood Reporter Style: “She really favours macaron colours, and we have done a lot of pink in the past, because Kaley really is very girly and feminine.
“This lavender is something new, but it’s so lovely on her. It brings out the purple and blue in her eyes.”
Vera then submitted a series of sketches and was thrilled with Kaley’s choice.
She said: “It’s got that romantic, Napoleon and Josephine look to it, which I always adore.
“The shape and the volume accommodate her stage of pregnancy, because comfort was a major factor for her, but with its flow and the slight train, it’s also just really ethereal and beautiful.”
Brad added: “It’s feminine, ethereal and chic, a mix-up of all the things Kaley likes to be on the red carpet.”

She also had a natural pink-toned make-up look using Chanel products, with make-up artist Patti Dubroff explaining she had also used Alleven Colour Shield in shade ‘Pearl’ on her client’s body, spritzing it onto her arms shoulders, and back “to keep her skin more matte so the shine on the dress really stood out.”

Kourtney Kardashian says red leopard PJs are favourite New Year’s Eve outfit ever

OHMYGOSSIP — Kourtney Kardashian says red leopard PJs are favourite New Year’s Eve outfit ever.
The Poosh founder – and oldest sister of Khloe, Kim, Rob, Kendall and Kylie Jenner – detailed how her favourite sartorial moment for the ball drop was the “cosy” jammies she wore to ring in 2022 for her family celebration alongside her kids Mason, 13, Penelope, 10, and Reign, eight with her ex Scott Disick.
The 43-year-old influencer told InStyle magazine: “Oh, the red leopard print pajamas I wore last year! I was matching my husband, and we had the best New Year’s at home with all the kids, and had a family dinner and did puzzles. One of them was crazy; it took forever, and when we finally finished it, we framed it because we were so excited. So yes, I think the red PJs that let me stay in, feel cozy, with no heels, barefoot? That’s easily the best New Year’s outfit.”
Kourtney – who married Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker last year in a romantic Italian ceremony – says the best method to take the perfect Instagram snap with your children is to “let the kids lead the way”.
She said: “You’ve got to believe the only way to have control is to give up control. Definitely don’t force it. Let the kids lead the way. That’s what I do. Because even if they were wearing the outfits of my dreams, if they weren’t happy, even if it were a great photo, it wouldn’t be a great memory, and then what’s the point? So I never force outfits, and I let each of them take the lead for a bit. Of course I’ll make suggestions, and if it’s freezing out or something, of course I’ll say, “You need a coat!” But aside from that, you just kind of go with it…. You know, I just realized I haven’t taken a big family photo yet. And in a way, I think that’s kind of great, because we were all together, and having so much fun, and living in the moment being together. I think that’s a good sign. You don’t always need the photo but you always need the love.”

Charlotte Tilbury wishes she could have done Elizabeth Taylor’s makeup

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlotte Tilbury wanted to work with Elizabeth Taylor.
The celebrity makeup artist – who has painted many A-list faces such as Kate Moss, Kendall Jenner, Emma Roberts and Alessandra Ambrosio – grew up loving Old Hollywood, an era that inspired her love of makeup and was upset to never get to do the ‘Cat on A Hot Tin Roof’ star’s makeup before she died in 2011, aged 79.
The 49-year-old makeup mogul told BAZAAR.com: “I was about eight years old. I had black-and-white posters on my wall. I would just sit there, like, studying and counting Marilyn Monroe’s eyelashes and Marlene Dietrich eyelashes. Many of my products were inspired from those black-and-white pictures. That stayed with me. I ended up working on the red carpet and with some of the biggest Old Hollywood stars, some of them have died now, like Jackie Kennedy Onassis’s sister Lee Radziwill. Elizabeth Taylor, I never got to work with her in the end, but so many of them were such an inspiration to me.”
Charlotte – who runs a successful eponymous cosmetic brand that celebrates her admiration of the Golden Age of movies and the beauty looks it made popular – loves how TikTok and YouTube give her a “direct dialogue” with her customers.
She said: “I’m a champion for the fact that you are able to speak to so many audiences and speak directly to your consumer. That’s what is so great about having YouTube and having all these different platforms—you didn’t have to rely only on one mode, whether it’s TV or whatever it is—that you can have this direct dialogue with your consumer. It’s so amazing because there’s so much I want to tell them, and they can tune in so many different ways for different tutorials and different conversations.”

Stella McCartney US leather tax shock

OHMYGOSSIP — Stella McCartney found it “shocking” that she had to pay more tax sending non-leather goods to America than she would if she sent real leather.
The fashion designer and animal rights and sustainability activist urged President Joe Biden to change the way it taxes goods and has called for the fashion industry to be “policed” like other industries.
She told Vogue: “We’re not a policed industry.
“We’re not subsidised in a positive way. I get taxed on my non-leather goods going into America sometimes over double that of goods that are made up of animal leather—I take that into my margin, I don’t put that onto my customer. If I put pig leather onto that exact same product, the amount of tax can reduce significantly. To me that is shocking; I’ve spoken to people like Biden at the G7 and John Kerry [about it]. These are the kinds of things we have to change. We have to set in place penalties in our industry—the automotive industry has it; the airline industry has it.”
Stella, 51, admits she found it impossible not to get involved in the politics of fashion upon entering the business.
She quipped: “I just thought I’d go to [Central] Saint Martins and be a fashion designer.”
Stella continued: “But there’s a lot of work to be done. I have my political hat on or my fashion hat on; I’m a bit confused as to which one to wear half the time.”
One way Stella’s eponymous brand is inspiring change, is by teaming up with tech firms to come up with new ways to make sustainable fashion.
Recently, the label teamed up with biological recycling firm Protein Evolution, Inc. to turn unwanted polyester and nylon transformed into “good-as-new” products.
PEI uses enzyme-based technology to recycle synthetic fabrics and plastic while reducing its carbon footprint.
She commented: “The dreadful amount of fast fashion manufactured that ends up in landfills is absolutely astonishing, both in terms of the natural resources consumed and the sheer amount squandered. Circular and regenerative solutions provide an upbeat view of the future of fashion, and we must take action now to safeguard our world for future generations.”
Last year, Stella launched the first luxury bag made from mushroom leather.
