Kirsten Dunst collaborates with Coach

OHMYGOSSIP — Kirsten Dunst has teamed up with luxury accessories brand Coach to create a special collection.
The Hollywood actress has been working on her own design project called Observed by Us with her illustrator friend Jessica Herschko – with the pair offering up one-off and custom pieces featuring hand-drawn pictures – and now they have created their own range of clothing and accessories with Coach.
Kirsten says the collection is imbued with childlike playfulness, telling Harper’s Bazaar magazine: “It’s accepting the randomness of life in a playful way. I think that the message is of being here all together, too, and the idea of floating in space.”
Jessica added: “Basically, the overarching theme is that we’re all just kind of floating in space … everything is floating! Our ideas, our clothing, our bodies. Planes! Satellites! Everything! We thought it would be fun to sit around and sort of come up with these whimsical stories to make sense of things that don’t normally make sense together.”
The Coach X Observed by Us collection features heart-shaped handbags, rucksacks, shoulder bags and smaller leather goods. The clothing offerings include denim overalls and knits as well as trainers.
Jessica went on to say many of the designs are inspired by her pal’s own quirky sense of style. She added: “I think Kirsten has the highest level … not only in clothing, but also aesthetically in general. She’s an artist through and through. She doesn’t even talk about this, but she’s an incredible painter and her colour palettes are incredible.
“Even the textiles in her home and on her clothing! I feel so lucky that I get to collaborate with her specifically, because every time she has something to say, it always makes it cooler and better and takes it to the next level.”

Barbie: Jacob Schwartz reveals secrets behind Margot Robbie’s hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Margot Robbie’s hair colourist has spilled his beauty secrets behind her Barbie Blonde hair.
With the Aussie star, 33 starring as the iconic fashion doll in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming fantasy comedy ‘Barbie’, Barbiemania has swept the internet.
The dolls famous bleached blonde hair has become the hottest hair trend for the summer as fans aim to emulate the mattel doll’s signature platinum blonde shade whilst dressed pretty in pink.
Celebrity hair colourist Jacob Schwartz, responsible for making Margot a Barbie girl in a Barbie world, has divulged the secrets behind achieving the mane.
He told Instyle: “I created an elevated version of blonde for Margot for the premiere and the Barbie press tour.
“It was more inspired by Barbie but not an exact replica of the doll’s hair.”
Whilst Barbie Blonde hair is considered a one-process blonde due to its champagne and icy hues, Jacob made Margot’s dimensional weaving shades of gold throughout for a more natural look.
For optimal results Jacob recommended the use of Blondme All Blondes Rich Shampoo and Conditioner which acts as a toner to keep brassiness at bay.
He added: “It is why I only trust BLONDME; it has Anti-Metal (the chelating agent) inside it to reduce damaging radicals and protects the hair from breaking,”
“Metal buildup in hair is common and happens when metals like copper, iron, magnesium, and calcium accumulate in the hair over time — often found in our tap water. This leads to hair feeling dry, brittle, and difficult to manage.”
The press tour officially began on June 24, with Margot Robbie paying homage to Barbie with ensembles that were inspired by as well as direct replicas of the dolls fashion.
The live-action movie starring Margot alongside Ryan Gosling and Dua Lipa will hit theatres on in US and UK on July 21.

Jodie Turner-Smith: My mum taught me the art of self-expression

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Turner-Smith credits her mum with teaching her the art of self-expression.
The British-born actress and model, who is of Jamaican descent, isn’t afraid to make a statement serving bold looks on the red carpet.
The fashion chameleon, who exudes confidence and energy with every outfit, owes her fierce fashion sense to her mother.
She told InStyle: “My mother was very fashionable, and I grew up looking at her and her attitudes about costume and expression of self through wardrobe.
“As I’ve said many times, I feel that clothing is costume, but I think that it moves in both directions. On the one hand, the energy that I have inspires the clothes that I wear, and sometimes the clothes that I wear inspire the energy that I have.”
The 36-year-old star is a recognised figurehead of self-expression and reinvention, pushing the boundaries in head-turning style.
Jodie was recently appointed as mentor for the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and will use her position as a black woman to call for more inclusivity and diversity in the industry.
She said: “As creative[s] of color, we’ve been shown a world that only includes certain types of voices.
“And I think we’re all quite exhausted of that. We all want to see what happens when we let more people come to the table, have a seat at the table, and bring their visions into the world.
“As a person who is black and a woman, I think it’s important that we create space for all different kinds of voices. Anything we can do to do that, it’s important to be a part of.”

Salma Hayek celebrates reaching 25 million folllowers on Instagram by sharing bikini workout

OHMYGOSSIP — Salma Hayek “hates” exercising but has shared her bikini workout on Instagram.
The 56-year-old actress donned the skimpy outfit as she shared her workout routine in the water and thanked “every single one” of her 25 million fans for their support as she reached the follower count milestone.
She wrote in the caption: “I can’t believe it, 25 million followers! Thank you soo soo much to every single one of you.
“Seeing as you all like my bikini pictures the most, here’s a bikini workout for you all.
“I hate exercising—but I love to celebrate good moments dancing in the water. I am genuinely moved and grateful for all your love and support.”
Just days earlier, the ‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’ star was seen in the same itsy bitsy stringy bikini she wore to celebrate National Bikini Day on July 5.
Speaking about her vacation snaps in the past, Hayek admits she has no shame in posting her pics.
She said in 2021: “I’m glad I took a lot of pictures—I have no shame on it because it was the first week of the vacation.
“I’m going to put up another one. I’m almost running out of them, but I don’t know if you have that feeling, like, 2021! People are sick of it but I’m going to let them take a break. They’re going to think I’m wearing a bikini every day. No, they’re all from the same location.”
When it comes to skincare, the ‘Eternals’ star previously admitted that when it comes to skincare, she had been using an ingredient usually used to treat burns victims in her native Mexico and explained that those in the US were often shocked because they had never heard of such a product.
She said: “I use an ingredient called Tepezcohuite that’s used in Mexico for burn victims because it completely regenerates the skin, and there’s no one in the States who is using this ingredient except for us. Some of the ingredients, when I took them to the American labs, they were like ‘Oh my god! How come nobody is using this?’ This is why I have no Botox, no peels, no fillings.”

Jenna Coleman: My style is eclectic

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenna Coleman loves to mix “feminine with the masculine” when she is creating her own looks.
The 37-year-old actress is a big fan of how Hollywood stars like Keira Knightley and Greta Bellamacina style themselves but when it comes to her own fashion, she is inspired by the likes of more vintage stars like Brigitte Bardot.
She told Elle: “I love the soft and feminine but I also love the clash of mixing that in with the masculine; when the two elements kind of fight each other.
I love the dark gothic romance of what Keira Knightley and Greta Bellamacina wear. Sofia Coppola, for what she wears meets everything else she embodies… And Audrey Hepburn, but I like to be undone around the edges – so throw in Brigitte Bardot, Bianca Jagger vibes with Beatrice Dalle from Betty Blue.”
The ‘Victoria’ actress has adopted Yves Saint Laurent’s motto of “Fashions fade, style Is eternal” evolving her personal style beyond the trends and tropes.
She added: “I find myself interested in trends less and less, to be honest. The nods back to the Fifties, Sixties and Seventies are much more me. Those eras definitely suit me more.”
The former ‘Doctor Whp’ actress also remains thrifty and frugal when it comes to fashion and repurposes her wardrobe.
She said: “I’m also not buying as much. I’m enjoying rediscovering my own wardrobe at the moment, pulling out pieces I already have and being like, ‘oh, that’s really cool actually’ and wearing them again.”
Jenna admits the red carpet is her runway where she enjoys turning up as a caricature of herself.
She said: “That’s the fun part!’
“There’s the hair and the make-up and the stylists, and everyone’s working together to create a certain look and vibe, in a way that you wouldn’t if it was just you on your own. It’s like playing a character, really, and being an extended, more heightened version of yourself.”

Jessica Simpson asked mother for money to buy back her clothing brand

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Simpson asked her mother for money to buy back her clothing brand.
The 43-year-old singer reclaimed her fashion label The Jessica Simpson Collection in 2021 after a lengthy battle to wrestle back control.
The company was founded in 2005 and then Sequential Brands bought a major stake in the business in 2015, before filing for bankruptcy in August 2021.
Before Sequential imploded financially, Jessica and her mom Tina stepped in to save her brand – which, in 2015, reached sales of $1 billion.
Sequential purchased a majority stake in the brand at the time for $353 million, with Jessica and Tina retaining a 37 percent share of the business. They brought back the remainder for $54 million in summer of 2021, with Jessica putting her $11.5million mansion up as collateral.
In an interview with Bustle, Jessica said: “[Sequential was] headed to bankruptcy. I wanted to make sure we did not get caught up in all that.
Tina – who divorced Jessica’s dad Joe in April 2013 – added: “Honestly, she did reach out to me to borrow money. And I said to her, ‘Yeah, let’s talk about it.’
“In buying the brand back, I told her, if you’re sure you want to do this, you’re just going to have to tighten up your belt a little bit.
“You’re going to have to not live not quite as extravagantly.”
In May 2022, The Jessica Simpson Collection secured a $67.5 million loan from Second Avenue Capital Partners, which will allow the mother/daughter team to invest money back into their company, and they now have plans to launch a hair-care extension in 2024.

Marc Jacobs collaborates with Blumarine

The 60-year-old fashion designer, who launched subsidiary line Heaven in 2020, has teamed up with the Italian brand to launch a capsule collection.
The collection which combines “Italian flair with American streetwear” features a mix of best-selling items from both brands, including pink camo pint pieces, denims tops and jackets. Every piece can be mixed and matched to create new looks.
Ava Nirui – creative director of Heaven by Marc Jacobs – said: “In my teen and college years, I fell in love with the Blumarine brand and aesthetic — it was the ultimate in feminine, aspirational fashion to me. I remember lusting after Blumarine advertisements. There was something very powerful about the way the brand depicted women, and I felt instantly moved by these images.
“There are so many parallels between Blumarine and Marc Jacobs, then and now, and I think this collection makes total sense for both of us. I love the way Nicola and his team interpreted Marc and the Heaven brand codes in his very Blu way! I’m such a genuine fan of Nicola and his approach to Blumarine, and feel really lucky to have worked with him.”
