Tiffany Young named Moschino’s new house ambassador

OHMYGOSSIP — Tiffany Young has become Moschino’s new house ambassador.
The 34-year-old singer – who shot to fame in Girls’ Generation, the chart-topping K-pop group – is now set to front Moschino’s autumn 2023 advertising campaign.
The campaign is set to be released by the end of the month, and will form part of the brand’s ongoing efforts to broaden its appeal by reaching out to an international market.
The company hopes to connect with the ever-growing K-pop fanbase, while Moschino also has a stated ambition to embrace diversity and reach out to people from different backgrounds.
In fact, Tiffany’s new role follows the appointment of Esther Yu, the Chinese musician and actress, who featured in a recent advertising campaign for Moschino.
Tiffany has enjoyed success as a solo artist over recent years, and the singer previously confessed to feeling restricted by some aspects of K-pop culture.
Speaking to Refinery29 in 2019, she shared: “To me, femininity and being a woman has always meant owning up to and finding the strength in your vulnerability. That is the most appealing thing to me in any female artist. And as much as there were restrictions in K-pop, I’d always try to find a way to stick to what I believe in.
“That’s what’s so special about Girls’ Generation, and probably the reason why we’re still together to this day. We really thought out of the box, and when we were told to conform, we’d say, ‘No, we did that one thing for the first few years, now we’re going to try something new.'”

Keke Palmer hails Sergio Hudson for helping to ‘accentuate’ her figure

OHMYGOSSIP — Keke Palmer believes Sergio Hudson’s designs have helped to “accentuate” her curves.
The 29-year-old actress has hailed the designer for helping her to overcome a particularly difficult period in her life, following the birth of her son Leodis in February.
Speaking to Essence magazine, Keke shared: “If you look at his designs, they’re all about accentuating a woman’s body in the best way.
“The cut of the dress, the cut of the jackets. The grosgrain in the dresses. Like, it’s all meant to accentuate your body, to accentuate the waist and the breast line and the area underneath.
“All the cuts he makes are for a woman to feel good about her body.”
Keke wore one of Hudson’s designers to the Met Gala earlier this year, and she’s credited the designer with helping her to rediscover her confidence.
She said: “Sergio being beside me made the whole thing that much better because he was acting like my mom, Sharon. He was like, ‘Get out there and talk to these people. You need to work the room. These people need to see how good you look.'”
Hudson, on the other hand, feels they have a “give and take” relationship.
He explained: “I think the designer-muse relationship is like give and take. Until now, the only muse I ever had a relationship with was my mom. But when Keke and I first met, immediately there was this click.”
Hudson also described their relationship as a “gift”.
He said: “She pours into me, and then I pour into her and onto her.
“I see a vision of who she is and where she should be, style-wise. I feel like my relationship with Keke is a gift. It rejuvenated me. It was like, ‘Okay, this is what you need to be doing. This is where you need to be going.’ Keke got me excited about fashion again.”

‘I got my life back!’ Danielle Jonas reveals how she beat eczema

OHMYGOSSIP — Danielle Jonas is relieved to be able to brush her hair again without any pain after curing her eczema.
The 36-year-old star – who is married to pop singer Kevin Jonas and has Alena, nine, and six-year-old Valentina with him – was so “depressed” when she was diagnosed with atopic eczema but was thrilled to be able to brush her hair again without any pain after discovering the antibody-blocking drug Dupixent.
She told Hollywood Life: “I just wanted to tell people about it because it helped me so much. It just got me my life back a little bit more. I started using [Dupixent] and there was just one day I came down to Kevin and was like…I can finally put a hairbrush through my hair without discomfort! I wasn’t going out a lot. I was just very uncomfortable and itchy. I just didn’t feel like myself. I didn’t feel like I looked like myself. This really did help a lot. I felt so depressed about how I was feeling. I wanted to go back on tour with him and people were wondering where I was. So it really gave me my life back.”
Former Disney Channel star Kevin explained that the joy in Danielle’s recovery is that their little girls can play with her hair again after “years of struggle” during which they had to resort to playing with his hair.
“It was the simplest thing of the girls wanting to play with her hair, but there was discomfort, so I would have to jump in and let them play with my hair. This was years of struggle and trying to figure it out. The minute she used Dupixent, I saw over the course of some time what an incredible change there was in her demeanor.”

Home and Away star Georgie Parker wears loose clothes to hide her body after being hit by car

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgie Parker wears loose clothes to hide her body on ‘Home and Away’.
The 58-year-old actress stars as Roo Stewarton the Aussie soap opera and revealed that whilst she is still “very mobile” since being involved in an accident when she was young, she now chooses to wear loose clothing on set so she can hide her damaged torso.
She told OK! Magazine: “I got hit by a car when I was young. So my spine is one perfect C curve – my rib cage is sitting in my pelvis. It’s pretty vile but I’m still very mobile. I have lost four centimetres in height, and people ask why Roo wears such loose clothes – it’s because I have to hide my torso.”
The Logie Award-winning star went on to add that she “loved” working regularly early on in her career but admitted that once she became known for her role as Lucy in 1980s soap opera ‘A Country Practice’, she found things “really hard” because her privacy in public had disappeared.
She said: “I started in theatre and miniseries, so I was regularly getting work and loved it. Once I landed ‘A Country Practice’ at 23, that’s when I was in people’s homes every night. Suddenly people were calling out ‘Lucy’ to me, which was my character’s name. I found it really hard because I felt like my privacy in public was gone. But then you get your head around it and that you need to be gracious about it because you’re so fortunate. I do set boundaries though, I haven’t gone public with my husband or my daughter. My private life is very much mine and that’s the way I’ve always seen it.”

Ava Phillippe loves heels because she is short

OHMYGOSSIP — Ava Phillippe loves to wear heels because she is short.
Although the 23-year-old daughter of Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon usually prefers to dress for comfort, she will make an exception for shoes that help her to look taller.
She told WWD: “What really influences my personal style is wearability [and] comfort. I am a short person, so I do love a heel, but, aside from that, I really like to wear things that are fit to my environment and fit to me and that I feel good in.
“I feel like beauty comes from within, so whatever I feel on the inside, if I feel comfortable, if I feel good about myself, then it’s gonna come to the inside.”
Back in 2021, Ava landed her first ever beauty campaign when she was tasked with promoting Pat McGrath Labs’ limited-edition ‘Bridgerton’ collection.
And, she was approached by the make-up artist and brand founder herself, via Instagram DM.
Ava previously told PEOPLE: “”I was like …Pat McGrath is DMing me? Huh? I have such admiration for her. And for her to even reach out to me or think of me was flattering.
“We all knew what we were doing and we wanted to make it perfect. The team has such a commitment to detail and to creatively making it the best it can be. And problem solving and collaborating and being kind and friendly all in the process, even in the frenzy. Just to be a part of it in general is so special.
“The first person I told was probably my mom. Just because I was like, ‘Mom, I’m going to be going to New York,’. She did not give advice per se. She did want to make sure that I was going to be safe and that everything was accounted for and that I was going to be treated as well as possible. And I felt good about it. And I checked all those boxes and she said, ‘Go have fun.'”

Naomi Campbell to be special guest at Liberatum’s Black Changemakers and Black Visionaries event in Brazil

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomi Campbell will be the special guest at Liberatum’s event in Brazil celebrating Black Changemakers and Black Visionaries.
The 53-year-old supermodel has joined forces with the international cultural diplomacy company for the spectacular three day event in Salvador, Bahia.
The event will run from November 3 to 5, will be free for all attendees and artists including musician Debbie Harry, Oscar winner Lee Daniels, Brazilian actress TaísAraújo, artist Kehinde Wiley and Brazilian actor and filmmaker Lázaro Ramos are expected to attend.
Brazilian singer Alcione, will receive the Liberatum Cultural Honor Award at the opening gala.
Liberatum, founded by Pablo Ganguli, works on creating content for festivals, summits and collaborations and he revealed he chose Brazil for a very special reason.
He told WWD: “My partner who I am going to marry is Afro-Brazilian. One thing that shocks me, and us as a cultural organisation that has always been neutral and diplomatic — there are times when you want to take a stand and say rather publicly that you don’t agree with this particular fight.
“In the last few years under a particular head of state, things just deteriorated. So to host an event like this further strengthens the Afro-Brazilian identity, builds confidence and morale, and gives people hope. It’s an event that lets them speak with their voices and it lets them know their contributions are valued, respected and admired.
“To do an event that makes the statement that Black cultural artists’, fashion designers’ and artists’ contributions are very much respected is the message that we want to send.”
Speaking about Naomi, he added: [She is someone] “who singlehandedly has done so much work to change the face of diversity in fashion. She is seen as a sign of hope and inspiration for the fashion community in Brazil. To have this for a primarily Black audience in Brazil is very exciting for us.”

Jenna Dewan tints her eyebrows with fiancé’s grooming kit

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenna Dewan tints her eyebrows with her fiancé’s “beard stuff”.
The 42-year-old actress-and-dancer has lifted the lid on the routine she uses to achieve her thick and defined brows, revealing her unconventional method involves dying her arches using ‘Shameless’ actor Steve Kazee’s grooming products.
Jenna – who has been engaged to Steve Kazee since 2020 – told PEOPLE: “I [used to] go get my eyebrows tinted or laminated, but when we were all home and trying to figure out what all we could do, [I saw] there was a way to do it at home that I tried. I was using Steve’s beard stuff. It actually worked!”
Despite her busy schedule juggling multiple work projects and raising two children, daughter Everly Tatum and son Callum Kazee, Jenna still manages to find the time to maintain a “girly girl” beauty regime.
She said: “I’m a girly girl and I still love glam. Doing my routine, putting the moisturizer on, the different masks — all that stuff is a form of self-care for me.”
Back in 2014, Jenna – who was previously married to ‘Magic Mike’ actor Channing Tatum, the father of her 10-year-old daughter – proved she was the ultimate beauty junkie after she was pictured wearing a full-on-facemask whilst driving around in Los Angeles.
Reminiscing about the incident, she said: “There’s a paparazzi picture of me with a face mask on. I was driving to an appointment and I was like, ‘Listen, this is time-saving.'”
Meanwhile, the ‘Step Up’ star, who recently partnered with skincare brand Neostrata, said that looking good on the outside is all about feeling good on the inside.
She added: “I think finding what makes you feel good and increasing that in your life, whether that’s working out, going out and playing, seeing friends — whatever it is that brings you true happiness and joy — that’s the hack of life. Really tap into that.”

Millie Bobby Brown: ‘I was never allowed to wear fragrance when I was younger’

OHMYGOSSIP — Millie Bobby Brown was never allowed to wear perfume when she was younger.
The 19-year-old actress – who was cast in Netflix sci-fi hit ‘Stranger Things’ when she was just 11 years old – is getting ready to launch her new fragrance Wildly Me via her own brand Florence by Mills Beauty on August 22.
Millie’s parents Kelly and Robert would not let her spray scent when she was growing up and she has been excited to experiment with fragrances whilst developing her personal perfume in collaboration with fragrance house Givaudan.
In an interview with WWD, she said: “I was never allowed to wear fragrance when I was younger.
“So I’m 19, I finally started finding who I am and figuring out who I am — slowly — and fragrance, it just feels very womanly. It just feels like the next step.”
Millie launched her clean beauty brand back in 2019 and it was inspired by her own experiences in the makeup chair on her acting projects because she “never knew what the makeup artist was putting” on her skin.
She explained: “It’s important to me because as a young person growing up in the industry and growing up in a makeup chair, I never knew what the makeup artist was putting on my skin. And that scared me.
“My godfather, Matthew Modine, he said to me, ‘Whatever they put on your skin goes into your bloodstream,’ and that stuck with me for a really long time. And it made me think, ‘Why don’t I go into a store and find a company that I feel like I can wear?’
“So I make Florence by Mills for me and my generation of people that are trepidatious in going into skin care at a young age and beauty at a young age. It’s not about understanding how to contour or put on fake eyelashes, but actually understand what their skin needs.”
Wildly Me is described as containing notes of bergamot, sage, violet, purple iris, blooming wisteria and lavender and Millie says she wanted it to “smell like a person”.
She explained: “We don’t want it to smell like a fragrance. We want it to smell like a person, we want it to smell like a field that you’ve walked into. I want people to smell it and feel joy, and positivity. And so when you have a company that already used that sense, it’s kind of an easy transition to use those same [for fragrance].”

Emily Ratajkowski says the Victoria’s Secret Angels were her idols

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Ratajkowski grew up idolizing Victoria’s Secret Angels Gisele Bundchen, Candace Swanepoel and Adriana Lima.
The 32-year-old model – who was first catapulted to international fame as one of the naked dancers in Robin Thicke’s music video ‘Blurred Lines’ in 2013 – has been selected as one of the models in ‘The Icon by Victoria’s Secret’ collection campaign, which is showcasing the lingerie company’s new Push-Up Demi Bra.
Emily admits it is a dream come true to be following in the footsteps of the legendary VS models who came before her.
In an interview with Popsugar, she said: “I grew up looking at images of Gisele, Candace, and Adriana so it’s simply surreal to be included in a campaign next to them.
“Those women were larger than life to me — they still are in many ways — and that’s what it means to be iconic. Their beauty and the images they’ve produced with incredible photographers and designers and teams were and are so artful. They represent so much.”
In 2021, Victoria’s Secret underwent a massive rebrand after it was criticised for its lack of diversity and inclusivity and promoting unattainable beauty standards.
Emrata is proud to be “a part of the evolution” of the brand and the Icon campaign, which features Adut Akech, Hailey Bieber, Paloma Elsesser, Gisele, Campbell, Adriana, Candice and Sui He
She said: “It’s exciting to be a part of the evolution of VS and to work with their very lovely team. I especially like the art direction behind this particular project. The women look so beautiful and strong in these portraits.
“I had never worked with VS prior to this campaign but I think the casting is unique and represents such a beautiful range of strong women.”

‘I won’t play that game…’ Natasha Lyonne refuses to choose style over comfort

OHMYGOSSIP — Natasha Lyonne is “too seasoned” to put herself through the struggle of uncomfortable clothes.
The ‘Poker Face’ star is happy to dial up her style for a glitzy premiere or night out, but she will always make sure she’s wearing something she can feel confident and comfortable in.
She told PEOPLE magazine: “I really like being able to walk… The thing I like the least about a look is not being able to move in my shoes.
“I find that so many people go to award shows and spend the whole night complaining about their shoes or clothes.
“I won’t play that game anymore. I’m too seasoned.”
The 44-year-old star – who has teamed up with Old Navy for the brand’s latest campaign – admitted she sometimes struggles to accept compliments on her style.
She added: “I think I’m getting better, though.
“I feel a real instinct in me to be self-deprecating right away, and I’m working to try to take the gift and keep it simple. It’s an empowering thing for younger people to see, you know?
“I like to think of myself as a bit of an elder now who helps kids to realize they need to say thank you.”
Meanwhile, she always makes sure to dress for the weather and make sure she’s wearing the right layers for the occasion.
She explained: “I like being temperature-correct. I like a blazer or something I can throw over my shoulders so that I’m not going to end up too cold or too hot.”
That practicality extends further, as Natasha admitted while she prefers not to carry a bag, she wants it to be useful when she does.
She laughed: “Sometimes someone will make a sort of fake clutch for an award show, and you’re like, ‘Where do you want me to put my cell phone?’
“I don’t like that kind of camp. I like having practical things that are real and usable.
“Maybe it’s because I’m a city kid — New York is very day-to-night seamless, and I take that approach to my outfits always.”

Sofia Richie takes skincare inspiration from dad Lionel

OHMYGOSSIP — Sofia Richie’s beauty routine is inspired by her dad Lionel Richie.
The 24-year-old model has admitted she takes advice from her famous father when it comes to her daily regime.
Speaking to Refinery29, she said: “It’s been that way for my entire life.
“He’s like the first person that told me I should wear lotion every day, he was the first person to tell me the dermatologist I was going to, what skin products I was using.
“And still to this day, he gives me all his little hacks. He’s my queen.”
The ‘Hello’ hitmaker – who got married to Elliot Grainge in the South of France earlier this year – even helped her get prepare her skin before her wedding day.
She added: “The night before my wedding, he was like, ‘You’re going to go to bed, because nothing is going to cover up bags.’
“And I was like, ‘You’re right, queen, you’re right.’
“He’s my beauty hack — if I have any skin issues, medical issues, hair issues, nail issues, he’s my first call. He knows how to look great.”
And after the 74-year-old music legend was the first person to make her realise the importance of skincare when she was younger, she has tried to pass this onto her husband
She said: “You know what’s crazy, is my husband doesn’t put lotion all over his body. And when we first started dating, I was like, I don’t understand.
“Get out of the shower and air dry… and then move on with your life? I just can’t. You don’t have protective layers from everything?
“I remember as a kid, I would cry putting my lotion on because I didn’t like putting it on so much. And my dad would be like, no, you’re putting the lotion on all over.”

Appearing on the ‘Good Instincts’ podcast, Tiffani, 49, told host and dietitian Shira Barlow: “I think people will say things, you know, and maybe expect me to look a certain way, yes, but I mean, it’s just not realistic.
“I can only age the way I’m going to age, right? I’m the best I can be and I’m taking care of myself and doing things that I know will benefit the outside exterior of myself that people are seeing.
“But yeah, those people don’t know what’s happening on the inside, right? Because that’s what actually helps the outside.”
Tiffani – who will turn 50 in January – admitted even over the last decade she has changed her outlook and learned not to care what people think.
Noting her “confident wasn’t 100 percent” when she turned 40, she added: “When I was turning 40, I feel like I had more personal pressure on myself to look the best I could.

Barbie movie praised for ‘sophisticated interpretation of Barbie fashion’

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Barbie’ movie featured “a sophisticated interpretation of Barbie fashion”, according to a fashion historian.
Karan Feder is an expert in Barbie fashion who has written the upcoming book ‘Barbie Takes the Catwalk: A Style Icon’s History in Fashion’ and believes Greta Gerwig’s movie, starring Margot Robbie, got the iconic doll’s style exactly right.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Karan said: “I thought it was really a sophisticated interpretation of Barbie fashion, and embraced the love of the doll and the fashion history.
“[Costume designer Jacqueline Durran] didn’t make things comically oversized, even though she could have because she was dealing with dolls. She didn’t make the buttons huge. You didn’t see huge zippers out of scale. They were oversized, but they weren’t comically large. I appreciated that little decision because I know that was a decision. You could have taken everything to scale and it would’ve been comical. And that I’m sure would’ve distracted from the narrative as a result.”
Karan was also impressed by Chanel’s collaboration with the ‘Barbie’ movie.
She said: “I thought that the Chanel statement was super great. The Barbie fashion designers’ mission was always to reflect culture. Their charge was, ‘Let’s look at the catwalk. Let’s look at what people are wearing on the streets. Let’s look at what celebrities are wearing. Let’s look at what’s going on in culture.’ All these things merged to define what Barbie actually wore. Barbie got her first Chanel skirt suit in the late ‘80s, and it was a mid-calf version of that Chanel skirt suit. The replica Barbie outfit [in the movie] is pretty close. It’s not hard to say, ‘Oh yeah, that’s a Chanel look.’
“I love that Chanel raised their hands and said, ‘Okay, we’re with Margot anyway. We want to give you guys whatever you need.’ I just think that combination and that collaboration between the brands — Barbie and Chanel — and then also that Margot was already on the Chanel team, I think that just really works. There’s a lot of chemistry there, but it also makes perfect sense for the heritage of the brand too.”
