Megan Fox’s hairstylist reveals secrets behind bold new look

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan Fox’s hairstylist wanted her dramatic new colour to match her “fiery personality”.
The ‘Transformers’ star has changed her look and gone with a “bold” and vibrant red colour and layered bob, taking her style to another level as she’s been seen out and about in New York City with Machine Gun Kelly.
Explaining the change, stylish Dimitris Giannetos told E! News: “We wanted something major that was jaw dropping for Megan.
“Just like her fiery personality, this look is so bold.”
Dimitris explained that the 37-year-old actress was keen to change things up before the autumn months, and get ahead of the “trend”.
He added: “Megan was ready for a bold change, and now seemed like the perfect time, especially since red shades are on trend for the fall.”
To get Megan’s epic new look, he went with Lime Crime’s Unicorn Hair Full Coverage Dye to make “this transformation so easy and attainable”.
When it comes to the colour itself, Dimitris revealed: “I simply mixed the bright red shades Valentine and Flaming Red and applied it to the hair in sections.
“It also includes conditioning ingredients, which is why I love using it, the color lasts and moisturizes your hair beautifully.”
Meanwhile, Megan – who has three children with ex-husband Brian Austin Green and is engaged to MGK – is releasing her first volume of poetry, titled ‘Pretty Boys Are Poisonous’, in November and hopes the book can inspire other people to “take back their happiness and their identity” by speaking out about the hidden issues that have taken a toll on their lives.
Sharing a photo of the book’s cover, which features a mouth biting a snake, on Instagram, she wrote: “i wrote a book [broken heart emoji]
“These poems were written in an attempt to excise the illness that had taken root in me because of my silence.
“I’ve spent my entire life keeping the secrets of men, my body aches from carrying the weight of their sins.
“My freedom lives in these pages and I hope that my words can inspire others to take back their happiness and their identity by using their voice to illuminate what’s been buried, but not forgotten, in the darkness. (sic)”

Pamela Anderson embraces ‘natural’ look for ‘new chapter’

OHMYGOSSIP — Pamela Anderson is embracing a “natural” look for the “new chapter” in her life.
The 56-year-old actress – who became a global sex symbol on ‘Baywatch’ in the 1990s – is keen to go against the grain when it comes to her outlook on beauty.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “The 90’s was the 90’s, and now it’s 2023. I like to do things that are different, I feel like… [and] this is a new chapter of my life.”
And while Pamela likes ditching makeup, she joked that “natural beauty still takes two hours in front of a mirror”.
The former model rocked some Pandora diamonds for the brand’s Lab Grown Diamond District launch during New York Fashion Week, and admitted it was nice to dress up.
She added: “It’s funny because, you know, I’m always in the garden now. I always have dirt under my nails.
“So it’s nice to wear diamonds just to glam it up a little bit.”
Last month, Pamela revealed her decision to embrace a fresh faced style came after her breakup artist Alexis Vogel died from breast cancer in 2019.
She told Elle: “She was the best. And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup.”
She described the minimalist look at “freeing, and fun, and a little rebellious too”, and it goes well with her longstanding outlook on life.
She explained: “I did notice that there were all these people doing big makeup looks, and it’s just like me to go against the grain and do the opposite of what everyone’s doing.
“I think we all start looking a little funny when we get older.
“And I’m kind of laughing at myself when I look at the mirror. I go, ‘Wow, this is really… what’s happening to me?’ It’s a journey.”
Despite this, Pamela admitted to being in a “good place” at the moment.
She shared: “I feel rooted for. I feel good. I’m in a good place.”

Taylor Russell’s creativity ‘is sparked by mess’

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Russell is at her most creative when she’s a “mess”.
The 29-year-old model – who is currently starring in ‘The Effect’ at London’s National Theatre – has claimed that she actually thrives on chaos.
Taylor – who has modeled for the likes of Chanel and Prada – told The Face magazine: “When I think about when I feel the best creatively, it’s me not having showered for days, being covered in dirt and laying in the grass with nobody knowing where I am. My phone being underwater, feeling like I’ve just run around and I have twigs in my hair and I’m a total mess.
“I think that image reflects that I just want to feel like I don’t need to have anything buttoned up or kept, that it all can just be disgusting and smelly and gross. And that I’m not doing it for anyone but for me, which is the freedom [of] feeling like I don’t owe it to anybody but myself.”
Taylor previously revealed that she initially dreamed of becoming a painter.
The ‘Escape Room’ star also recalled feeling stifled by her acting teachers as a child.
She told Byrdie: “I actually took an acting class when I was in grade nine, but my teacher really didn’t inspire me.
“I felt stifled by her and put in a box – like if I wasn’t the way she wanted me to be or if I didn’t play by her rules, I couldn’t be an actor. That sort of teaching has never worked for me.”

Storm also explained how her latest collection differs from previous versions.
She said: “With our other collections, we added hardware and did brighter colours, and I think for our last collection we just wanted to go a little bit more of the simple route, but still have very cute cuts for the bathing suits.
“We have the ribbed pink one, which is one of my favourites, or even the patterned one, which is a little busy, but still the colours are muted and very minimalistic.”
Meanwhile, Storm previously revealed that Zendaya – her ‘Euphoria’ co-star – is one of her style icons.
The actress told W magazine: “I have a lot of style icons, but I think my top three would have to be Zendaya, obviously; Rihanna; and Beyonce.”
Asked if they often talk about fashion, Storm replied: “Actually, yeah. We often compliment each other about the looks we have worn. She did actually give me advice on my first Met Gala. That’s when I was contemplating cutting my hair, and she gave me the confidence to do it.
“I showed her what I was going to wear and the concept for the bleached pixie cut, and she was like, Heck yeah, it’s gonna look great. She gave that final stamp of approval where I was ready to cut all my hair off.”

Liam Gallagher’s new Adidas collab!

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher and Adidas have partnered to launch a new colourway of Gary Aspden’s Spezial.
The ex-Oasis rocker, who first launched the LG2 SPZL in 2022, has once again joined forces with the sports brand to present a new version of the hybrid silhouette.

First debuted by Liam ahead of his performance at London’s KOKO in August 2023, the latest colourway of the LG2 SPZL pays homage to early iterations of the Adidas Country – with a different material mix – combining bottle green heel and stripes with a gum outsole and a chalk white upper.

K-pop star Hongjoong creates ‘hard and tough’ stage character using clothes and bling

OHMYGOSSIP — K-pop idol Hongjoong says fashion plays such a big role in his music he uses it to create a stage alter-ego.
The 24-year-old rapper, who’s part of the South-Korean octet Ateez, revealed when he’s on stage he synergises music with fashion – creating a new character with every performance that he says combines elegance and power.
He told WWD: “When on the stage, I fall into that character every time. With my outfit too, if the song is really hard or tough, I want to make my character hard and tough. So that’s why I wear dark clothes and a lot of jewellery.
“But also I put my own opinion in there; it’s not only tough, there is some elegance.”
Earlier this year French designer Olivier Rousteing named Hongjong an inspiration after the pair met during a Blamain show in April.
He said: “When I met Olivier, we talked a lot about our style and his mindset.
“These days I think about that when I make music or when I write lyrics: how to make it my own way.
“First I think about what I want to say, and then how to make that message cooler to our audience or fans.”
Riding the K-pop wave into the US, Ateez recently wrapped up their ‘The Fellowship: Break the Wall’ world tour – which kicked off in Seoul last year and ended in South America.

Chanel Iman avoids ‘scented ‘ beauty products to avoid eczema

OHMYGOSSIP — Chanel Iman avoids “scented lotions or perfumes” to keep her eczema at bay.
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel – who has Cali , five, and three-year-old Cassie with former partner Sterling Shepard – is trying to be more “careful” about the products she uses for the good of herself and her family, particularly now she is pregnant with her and boyfriend Davon Godchaux’s baby.
The 32-year-old model told Allure magazine’s Just Asking featurette: “I don’t smell like anything because I have to be very careful [with] what I wear.
“I don’t wear scented lotions or perfumes, especially around my daughters, just because as a parent, I try to prevent flare ups.
“I’ve had sensitive skin throughout all of my pregnancies, and it’s been a challenge just to find comfort. I’m on my third child, but I didn’t really take great care of my skin from my first pregnancy up until now, and it kind of caught up with me.”
Chanel keeps her beauty routine simple but if she is travelling, there are some essentials she needs to have in her flight bag.
She said: “Just having some mascara and concealer and my eyebrow kit and lip balm always does the job for me. But I find that on long flights my skin gets really dry, so I make sure that I travel with a little moisturizer to put on just before I get off the flight.”
The Vogue cover girl admitted that she loves having a good soak in the tub to relax, but finds it just as pleasurable overseeing her daughters’ bath time.
Chanel said: “I love baths. Baths are my favorite for myself, but also I enjoy giving my daughters a bath.
Chanel admitted that she is “not big” on fake eyelashes.
She said: I’m not big on lashes. When I get my make-up done, I always pass on a pair of lashes.”

Carol Burnett says Bob Mackie designed 17,000 costumes for The Carol Burnett Show

OHMYGOSSIP — Bob Mackie designed 17,000 costumes for ‘The Carol Burnett Show’.
The 90-year-old screen legend praised the designer for his hard work on her groundbreaking CBS sketch show as she discussed the team she had working on her iconic comedy series.
Speaking to Meg Ryan for Interview magazine in a conversation recorded before the SAG-AFTRA strike, Carol revealed: “We had about nine writers, three women. And then we had special material writers who would do the music. And then we had a choreographer, 12 dancers, and two guest stars a week. And Bob Mackie designed 65 to 70 costumes a week.”
Meg replied: “I can’t even comprehend that.”
Carol responded: “In 11 years, that comes to about 17,000 costumes. He’s amazing.”
The ‘Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Love and Laughter’ also revealed the advice the stylist – who has dressed many of Hollywood’s most legendary stars like Cher, 77, the late Marilyn Monroe and Mitzi Haynor – gave her casting advice when putting together looks for her character Eunice, telling her to get Vicki Lawrence, 74, to do the honour.
Carol told Meg: “A lot of Eunice [Higgins, the daughter of Mama], came from my mother because she had all these dreams, but they never came true, so she was always very frustrated. We were going to get an older actress to play Mama, but we didn’t know we were going to do it more than once, so Bob Mackie said, “Oh, let’s just put a wig on Vicki and put her in a fat suit and stick glasses on her and let Vicki be Mama.” And that’s how that happened.”

Ayo Edebiri says fashion isn’t taken ‘seriously’ in stand-up comedy

OHMYGOSSIP — Ayo Edebiri says fashion isn’t taken “seriously” in comedy.
The ‘Bottoms’ star has “always enjoyed clothes” but was wary of getting too into turning looks on the stage because she wanted to be seen as funny more than stylish so she opted for a “uniform” of performing that hid her body.
The 27-year-old actress told Interview magazine before the SAG-AFTRA strike: “I’ve always enjoyed clothes, but as a stand-up I got very into this uniform of big shirt, big pants, which I still think is cool, but I had this idea that if people see my body, they won’t take me seriously in stand-up.”
‘The Bear’ star detailed how “humbling” she found meeting Robert De Niro, 80, at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Ayo said: It was when I met Robert De Niro—of course this would happen to me… At Tribeca, I was going to all these dinners, and I really wanted to meet him, and because I’m a nut-case, I was convinced that we would just get along. I knew it in my soul. When I met him, I couldn’t have met anybody less interested in meeting me.
“Our conduit was like, ‘This is Ayo, she’s on this TV show,’ that he’s obviously never watched, and I saw him do that thing where he kind of clicked his left eye a little bit past me to somebody that he knew, and I said, “You can just talk to whoever you actually want to talk to.” And he went, “What?”
“That one was really humbling, because I’d been going up to so-and-so saying, ‘I’m a fan,” and they’re like, “Thank you!’ I was on a hot streak and I got humbled.”

Palak Tiwari issues skincare warning to fans: ‘Don’t overdo it!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Palak Tiwari has warned fans against “over-exfoliating” their face.
The 22-year-old actress believes that those looking to achieve a clear complexion should look at what they consume as well as what they apply to their face and “swears by” using a type of vitamin B-3 to take care of her skin.
She told India Today: “One thing people often neglect is that skincare is not just topical. It is also what you consume. You could be applying everything right on your skin, but what if it is a hormonal issue – the products won’t help! You’ll need to have it checked. Niacinamide is a brilliant ingredient. When I was 16, it was one of the first ingredients that made an impact. That time, I couldn’t even pronounce it. But even today, I totally swear by it. Over-exfoliating your face or scrubbing it too much. And, not applying moisturiser. I have seen a lot of my friends do it. And then, applying harsh ingredients like glycolic acid or retinol, and not protecting it with sunscreen the next morning!”
The Bollywood star went on to recall that whilst the practice of “double cleansing” might be a popular thing to do for skincare these days, her mother was doing the same thing more than a decade ago as she agains stressed the importance of applying moisturiser.
She added: “Double cleansing is huge now! Back in the day, no one really spoke about it. But my mom always did that. When I was six or seven years old, I remember her following the double cleansing routine. She would first remove her makeup with baby oil, wash her face and then apply moisturiser!”

The 55-year-old Broadway star – who is probably best known for originating the role of Glinda the Good Witch in the smash-hit musical ‘Wicked‘ – tied the knot with musician Josh Bryant in a Texas ceremony over the weekend after five years of dating but decided to go for a pink number rather than the traditional white.
She told People: “I didn’t want to wear white. Simple and elegant. I never thought I’d get married, so I went very nontraditional with the gown. I love it. We exchanged a form of traditional vows. But I’m not saying ‘Obey!'”
Ahead of the ceremony, Kristin- who met Josh when he was performing with his band at her niece’s wedding – explained that she wanted to “look and feel” like herself on her wedding day and wanted Josh to be able to see the woman he had been in a relationship with as opposed to a caricature.
She said: “On that day, I want to look and feel like Kristin, and I want Josh to see the girl that he has been with for five years. I’m going to look glamorous and all that, but my hair isn’t going to be up to heaven, even though we’ll be in Texas. It’s going to look like me.”
The ‘Schmigadoon!’ star also admitted that she “never imagined” actually tying the knot.
She said: “I have been a self-proclaimed bachelorette my whole life. I was never going to get married. I even got engaged before and couldn’t do it. Until I met Josh. Then I was like, ‘Why would I ever let this guy” go?’ I’m so blessed.”

‘Don’t spend a fortune on skincare, it’s silly!’, warns TV star Anthea Turner

OHMYGOSSIP — Anthea Turner refuses to spend a fortune on skincare.
The 63-year-old presenter feels that while it is “important” to look after her complexion, she will not spend “silly amounts” on cosmetics as she warned fans about the dangers of smoking and excessively trying to get a tan.
She told Yours Magazine: “Don’t be silly with skincare I once sat next to a plastic surgeon at dinner, who said, ‘If you see a woman smoking on a sun lounger, she’s burning herself from the inside to the out’. It’s so important to protect and nourish your skin. I watch what I eat and I exercise. We don’t need to spend silly amounts on skincare. Anybody daft enough to spend hundreds on a pot of La Prairie needs a reality check! ”
The former ‘Blue Peter’ host went on to add that she just has a modest collection of products at home for her skincare, including her very own BALM6 beauty balm which she is “really proud” of.
She added: “I have a handful of products in my bathroom, including my new beauty balm which I’ve just launched. It’s based on
years of learning what works and what doesn’t and I’m really proud of it.”
Anthea previously explained that her new venture is the sole product she uses to remove her makeup at the end of the day and recommended it to those who don’t have time for an extensive routine.
She said: “BALM 6 is all I use to remove my makeup and the day’s grime. I rub a small amount (the size of an almond) into the palms of my clean hands. As the heat of my hands warms the mixture it quickly turns to an oil which I massage into my face. If you have the time don’t rush this process, massaging your face de-stresses, relaxes muscles and increases blood flow. Remove with a warm damp face cloth.”

She added: “Marisa, she’s not … she’s so beautiful but she’s not particularly beautiful, you know what I mean? Like everybody else.

“I told her, ‘OK, I know the best hairstylist in the world, Aldo Signoretti. He’s in Rome. If you want, I can call him.’ ”
