Brooke Shields: When I got pregnant I realised I was beautiful

OHMYGOSSIP — Brooke Shields says being pregnant made her realise she was beautiful.
The 58-year-old actress-and-model – who has daughters Rowan, 19 and Grier, 16 with husband Chris Henchy – used to avoid mirrors because she hated how so much attention was focused on her face, but she grew to love herself and her body more when she was carrying her kids.
Speaking in a video interview for Harper’s Bazaar UK, she said: “I’ve been in the beauty industry for more than 50 years.
“When I got pregnant I realised I was beautiful.
“It took me decades to actually discover what I thought I was, beauty-wise.
“For the longest time I wouldn’t look at myself in the mirror, because everybody looked at me and they all focused on my face.
Brooke has tried to instill confidence in her daughters by encouraging them to embrace their unique attributes.
She said: “I see the insecurity that my girls experience.
“I constantly have to say to them ‘your beauty is yours, and it’s unique and special. Love that because everybody will try to take that away from you’.”
The ‘Blue Lagoon’ actress previouslu blasted the idea that older women can’t be sexy.
She told Yahoo! Life in 2021: “I believe that it’s a misconception that women can’t be sexy over a certain age.
“The acceptance of our bodies comes at a later date. I live much more in my body now than I ever did. My body actually feels like it belongs to me and I can’t say that about my youth.
There’s a misconception that if you are not of child bearing ability, you don’t seem to matter in the world because you do not keep the world going anymore.”

The 42-year-old reality star – who debuted her shapewear brand in 2019 – is expanding her billion dollar business to provide comfort for guys as well as women.

“That means we’ve had 50 million men coming to site over the last few months.

The clothing company – which focuses on bras, bodysuits and underwear – is branching out to include male boxers and briefs as well as T-shirts, tank tops and leggings.
Kim said: “My brother [Rob] was trying it all on for me and being my fit model, and [he] thought that the material was a bit too thin and had a lot of notes.”

She said: “Experiencing sports with my kids, having it be a part of our daily life with my daughter who loves basketball, my son [who] plays American football and soccer. Having someone from each sport, and me traveling the world to go to these soccer games with my son and all of his friends – getting some of their idols in the campaign is like a ‘pinch me’ moment.”

Camille Rowe’s French father is her fashion inspiration

OHMYGOSSIP — Camille Rowe says her French father is her fashion muse.
The 33-year-old model is considered to be the epitome of Parisian chic and she admits that her dad René Pourcheresse’s sense of style has always been an inspiration to her.
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar, she said: “He’s always been a kid at heart, now he’s getting older he’s still the same cool Frenchman. He’s usually wearing cowboy boots and great Levi’s denim with amazing Hawaiian shirts or a cashmere jumper. He mixes colour so well and knows the importance of creating a good base for your outfit.”
Echoing the famous Yves Saint Laurent mantra that “fashions fade, style is eternal”, Camille admits her style has not really evolved over the years.
She added: “Barely. My father would wear vintage Levi’s and boots when we were growing up, and I haven’t strayed too far from the way he dressed when I was 10 years old, as I do today. I guess I opt for a little more of a feminine edge now, I’d like to say I take more risks now but I’ve always stuck to the same kind of style, which depends largely on how I’m feeling, so I always revert back to what I know when I don’t want to think about clothes, I dress the same way as I did when I was younger. I get more dressed up in the evening and have thought more about jewellery over the years and incorporating that has made a big difference.”
Camille – who started off as a model aged 18 after being discovered on the streets of Paris and became the face of luxury fashion houses like Louis Vuitton and Gucci – said fashion to her is a “beautiful form of self-expression”.
She added: “Fashion is such a beautiful form of expression and it’s an amazing way to present yourself to others and the world, as it acts as an extra layer of your personality of what you’re about or how you’re feeling on a particular day. Fashion is an extension of who you are. It doesn’t matter if you’re not that into it, but it will never be disregarded completely as it’s part of our everyday. If you are really into fashion, you can use it as an art form. It’s so beautiful to have a creative mind and to support designers that do as well.”

Michelle Keegan likes to keep things ‘simple’ with her fashion choices

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Keegan likes “simple” fashion choices.
The 36-year-old actress explained that she always tries to make sure she has a variety of different styles to hand but when it comes to deciding on a “quiet-luxury” look, she doesn’t want to “overcomplicate” things and has even thought about the concept for her collection with Very.
She told WhoWhatWear: “I always make sure I have pieces which can be layered or elevated, as I like to have a variety of different looks available depending on whether I’m heading out with the girls or off to a meeting. This is something I have carefully considered when creating my latest Very collection.
“The pieces are easy to mix and match so will make great updates for a capsule wardrobe. If I’m going for a quiet-luxury look—which I am loving at the moment—I’ll select some really simple and timeless pieces and not overcomplicate the styling. For example, wearing a simple outfit such as a jumper dress and elevating the look with a chic coat.”
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star went on to add that she also prefers to stay away from styles that she suspects will be fleeting and always looks for “longevity” in her clothing choices.
She added: “[I tend to stay away from] the quick trends that I know aren’t going to stay in fashion for long, like low-rise trousers and jeans that were quite big in the early noughties. I don’t feel comfortable in them, and I just know they’re not going to be around for a long time. interested in pieces with longevity, things that are going to stay in your wardrobe and be staples that you can keep coming back to time after time.”

Kim Kardashian’s secret Met Gala plan foiled after being attacked by Karl Lagerfeld’s cat

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian’s plan to take Karl Lagerfeld’s cat as her Met Gala date was dashed when the moggy attacked her.
The 43-year-old star hoped to take the late designer’s feline friend – who was left $1.5 million in her owner’s will when he passed away in 2019 – to the annual fashion extravaganza, which was themed around the Chanel icon, but quickly realised it wasn’t a good idea when their first meeting didn’t go too well.
Speaking on the latest episode of ‘The Kardashians’, Kim said: “So we just left London, and our next leg on our soccer tour is to Paris, to see Paris Saint Germain play, and while I’m here, I have a little meeting with Choupette, Karl Lagerfeld’s cat, because Choupette is supposed to be my date for the Met.
“I want to spend some time with her, get to know her, and just see if we vibe.”
Once she met with the cat, who is reportedly worth an estimated $13 million, the 42-year-old tried to stroke and pick up the cat, but Choupette was not happy, and repeatedly hissed and took swipes at the TV star.
She admitted: “She is feisty. Choupette is really key to my whole vibe for the Met this year, so if we don’t vibe, I don’t know what I’m gonna do. I just hope she warms up to me … cause this wouldn’t be cute.”
After the fierce feline continued to hiss at her, Kim finally conceded the pair wouldn’t make it to the Met Gala together.
She said: “So I’m getting a little bit nervous and I think I just fully wanna pivot. There’s so many factors I think could be negative, especially with the cameras and the people.
“Even if she’s scared from the cameras and not me. I don’t know if it’s fair to Choupette, so I think I realised really quickly that, Choupette, we’re not a match, so I’m not bringing her to the Met.”

She added: “It was our way of relaxing”.
Of her love of jewellery and it’s “symbolic” meaning for her, she added: “So, I wanted to pass that on to people who can hear my story and hopefully be moved by what they see.”

Paris Hilton invented Barbiecore

OHMYGOSSIP — Paris Hilton has claimed she “invented” Barbiecore.
The style trend – which features bold colours, in particular pink, high-heeled shoes and quirky accessories – peaked this summer around the release of the ‘Barbie’ movie, but the 42-year-old socialite insisted she has been ahead of the game for years because she has always idolised the Mattel doll.
Reflecting on one of her outfits from 2001, she told Britain’s Vogue magazine: “I was going for the Barbiecore vibes before there was even the word Barbiecore.
“I invented it. Barbie is my idol, she is such an icon. I’ve looked up to her my entire life.
“I always loved that Barbie could be anything that she set her mind to, whether it was like a teacher or an astronaut, president, this woman did it all.
“And this was a pink Versace dress that Donatella had given me, and my pink Barbie bag that I got at FAO Schwarz in New York, the most epic toy store that I used to go to all the time when I was little.”
Paris’ beloved pet pooch Tinkerbell – who passed away in 2015 – used to be a firm fixture by her side on the red carpet and the ‘Stars Are Blind’ singer used to love picking out outfits for the Chihuahua.
Looking at a picture of herself in a vibrant pink tracksuit accompanied by her “best friend” at the 2003 Golden Globes, Paris reflected on her time with the dog and how much she missed her after her death in 2015.
She said: “Aww, Tinkerbell.
“I am rocking my tracksuit in pink, of course. This was made by Kappa. I used to love wearing that brand.
“I love 2000’s fashion, it was all about being original and fun, and just wearing whatever you wanted to wear.
“When I moved to New York, I didn’t have a stylist, an agent, a publicist, none of that. I did it all on my own, and I used to love bringing my little Tinkerbell with me everywhere.
“It was just so much fun dressing her up, she was like my first daughter. She was my best friend, my sidekick, my other half, I miss her so much.”

Gwyneth Paltrow launches cheaper Goop products

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow is proud to be launching a “masstige” Goop line.
The 51-year-old actress’ beauty and wellness firm has typically offered high-end products for sale since its launch in 2008, but they are now set to aim for mass market appeal with good.clean.goop, a range of body and skincare items that will be sold at Target and on Amazon, with prices starting from just $19.99.
Gwyneth told People magazine: “The idea for good.clean.goop has been kicking around the goop headquarters for a decade.
“We originally started with the goop beauty line, and over time, we just felt more and more passionate about creating clean, efficacious products at a more accessible price and for a broader audience.
“They call it masstige in the industry. I love that word, between mass and prestige. We set out to create this, and it’s been so much fun.”
Having watched Goop grow from a simple idea to an industry-leading business, Gwyneth is proud of her far her brand has come in 15 years.
She said: “Early on people thought we were nuts.
“To me, it’s such a good lesson, just be who you are, stick to your guns, find your resilience, keep going and you can build a brand that’s meaningful if you really mean it.”
The budget-conscious line will be available from October 22, and will feature one hairline product (The Powerscrub Scalp Detox) three body care cosmetics (The Body Smoother Replenishing Cream, The Naked Elixir Body Oil and The Body Facial Exfoliating Scrub) and six skincare products (The Daily Juice Cleanser, The Fruit Facial Exfoliating Scrub, The Illuminator 10% Glycolic Toner, The Healthy Aging Serum, The Nutrient-Rich Daily Moisturizer and The Wide-Awake Eye Serum).

Scarlett Johansson is terrified of receiving facials

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Johansson is “scared” of facials.
The 38-year-old actress has struggled with acne in the past so she is wary about the products that go onto her skin, but she admitted she should rethink her stance as the people she knows with “amazing” complexions have the treatments regularly.
Speaking to Allure, she said: “I’m not a facial person. I am scared of them. I think because I had acne for so long, I was just terrified of anybody touching my face. I cannot tell you the last time I got a facial. I use masks on myself, but yeah, I’m not a facial person.
“I should probably get over that because I have friends that have amazing skin that get facials regularly. So maybe there’s something to it.”
Scarlett also tries to stay away from foundation when she can because she’s worried about it clogging her pores and making her break out.
She said: “I don’t regularly wear foundation — I mean, for work, I do. But it changes. Sometimes I use the Dior Forever Foundation, sometimes it’s the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, but it depends on what I’m doing.
“Foundation, on film, performs differently depending on the lighting and how the film is going to be digitally processed, so my makeup artist is always doubling between a few different foundations. But I like both of those. The Armani foundation is nice, and it doesn’t break me out.
“Again, because I’ve had acne, I’m always terrified that foundation is going to break me out, but now things are formulated in a way that they don’t break you out like they used to. But I don’t wear foundation every day. Sometimes I like that Touche Éclat Undereye Pen. It’s still good.”
The ‘Black Widow’ star recently recalled how much she “struggled” with her skin when she was younger.
She told Stylist magazine: “I struggled with acne forever. My brother actually just showed me photos of myself at a family thing when I was probably 19 or 20, and my skin quality is completely different. When I saw that photo it just, you know, it brought everything back. All those painful memories. I just struggled with my skin for such a long time. I used to wear concealer to work in the morning, even though somebody was about to put make-up on my face.
“But that was when I was younger and the messaging around acne back then was that your skin was grimy and dirty, and you’d get rid of the blemishes by washing it. It was all so negative – and also incorrect.”

Georgia May Jagger hails Jerry Hall her beauty inspiration

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia May Jagger has hailed her mother, Jerry Hall, her beauty “icon”.
The 31-year-old model has learned a lot from the make-up artists she’s worked with over the years but has always admired her glamorous mother and late fashion designer Vivienne Westwood’s looks.
Asked who was on her “beauty moodboard”, Georgia told Britain’s Elle magazine: “I always try and get different references and talk to people that I’m working with about that.
“My mom is obviously one of my big icons but Vivienne Westwood is also a big icon for me. A lot of make-up artists that I’ve worked with give me inspiration from previous work that they’ve done.”
Georgia – whose father is Rolling Stones legend Sir Mick Jagger – recently launched her own skincare brand, May Botanicals, and was keen to bring out a range that was both organic and felt “high-end”.
When asked what influenced her decision in creating May Botanicals, she replied: “’Conceptualising the idea started almost five years ago. It took years of finding the different ingredients and trial and error.
“I had been travelling a lot and I experienced quite dry and sensitive skin, so the Super Balm was the first product. I felt that there were organic ranges but they always looked very organic.
“They didn’t really have the beautiful aesthetic that we think about when it comes to make-up or high-end skincare.”
She also spoke about how her life in the modelling world inspired her “personal beauty ethos” and explained how she is always asking questions about products.
She said: “Modelling was why I was always wanting to discover new products, talking to make-up artists and people on set.
“It hasn’t really changed that much. I’m still modelling so now instead I’m asking, ‘What do you use?’ I’m on this journey of discovering what people want, trying to figure out if there’s any future products in that.”

Priyanka Chopra Jonas ‘reintroduced’ to abs after movie training

OHMYGOSSIP — Priyanka Chopra Jonas has had a “reintroduction” to her abs.
The ‘Baywatch’ star, 41, says working out for a recent film left her torso so defined she is now back to wearing more crop tops to show off the results.
She told the PopSugar website: “I was training for a movie recently and I had a reintroduction with my abs after a long time. I hadn’t been confident about wearing crop tops and stuff like that.
“I was going to a public place and I remember I wore a crop top and skirt, and I was really nervous about it.
“I was like, ‘Oh man, I’m not going to be comfortable sitting,’ and all those things that you think about when you’re wearing a crop top.
“But I felt good because I felt healthy, confident, and fit and I was really surprised. I wasn’t sure when I was walking out the door but I was like, ‘Alright, I’m going to push myself.’
“And then eventually, I turned around and added that into my wardrobe a lot more.”
Priyanka, who has a nine-month-old daughter Malti with her Jonas Brothers star husband Nick Jonas, 31, believes getting dressed can be a “version” of “confidence” and its important to find your own path.
She added: It has to be your version of it. My version of it was this experience. Confidence is about how you carry yourself once you let fashion resonate with how you’re feeling and you find your mode of self-expression. If confidence was tangible, your outfit would be that.
“It’s like wearing your confidence on the outside. So ask yourself what you want to achieve today — whether you have a job interview or you’re just going to work and doing your hair differently or maybe trying a different hat.”

Gwyneth Paltrow doesn’t ‘give a f***’ about ageing

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow doesn’t “give a f***” about ageing now she’s in her 50s.
The Oscar-winner, who turned 51 in September, admitted she had already “really flipped out” about maturing after her 40th birthday, but now that she is older she is beginning to care less and less about ageing and how she’s viewed by others.
She told online magazine Bustle: “Fifty was great. I was concerned I was going to feel a lot of grief or fear because I remember when I turned 40, the anticipation… I really flipped out.
“I didn’t have that at all at 50. I was like, “I love my friends. I love my husband. I love my kids. Yeah, my job is hard. But this is good’… it’s like, I don’t give a f*** what anyone says about me, thinks about me, this is who I am. I felt like 50 was a deepening into myself.’ “And, apparently, that just keeps getting better.”
Gwyneth – who has 19-year-old daughter Apple and 17-year-old son Moses with her Coldplay frontman ex-husband Chris Martin, 46, and has since gotten remarried to 52-year-old TV producer Brad Falchuk – also admitted she found leaving her 30s behind “so jarring” because it was when she began seeing the years on her face.
She added: “I think that’s also why turning 40 was so jarring, because that’s when I started to notice crow’s feet and this and that. It’s so interesting to me how until you have that, you somehow think you’re never going to have that. You think you’re going to be impervious, and it seems like this whole thing that other people are needlessly worrying about.
“Then you’re like, “Oh, my God, my face.” So it’s double-pronged for me.
“I am constantly in an exercise of embracing where I am and also embracing this painful thing of not being young and beautiful. Sometimes I almost think of it as a person that I’m hugging, like, “This is supposed to happen. This is OK’.”
