Millie Bobby Brown launches clothing line

OHMYGOSSIP — Millie Bobby Brown has expanded her beauty business into fashion by launching a clothing line.
The ‘Stranger Things’ star set up her Florence By Mills brand in 2019 selling products including skincare, make-up, fragrance and hair accessories, and now she’s added Florence By Mills Fashion to offer comfy yet stylish outfits that allow “people to feel like they’re wearing pyjamas”.
The actress told Elle magazine: “I wanted to create really stretchy, soft materials that girls felt comfortable with going to school, going to work, things like that. I want people to feel like they’re wearing pajamas, but they’re able to go outside. That’s what I like. I want to wear pyjamas to work.
“I could follow trends, but Florence isn’t about following trends. There’s a lot of that going on, especially on social media platforms, where you’re able to get this temporary satisfaction of everybody’s doing this, so we all have to do this. I don’t know if that’s the message that I want to put out there. Everyone has their individuality. Everybody sees things in a different perspective, and I want people to be able to really form their own style, opinion, perspective with Florence, whether that be with make-up and skin care or with our apparel … ”
Millie also revealed one of her favourite products in the fashion line was one of the first she came up with. She added: “I want to be able to wear boxer shorts to bed.
“That was literally the first thing that came to me when I was making [this collection], I was like: ‘We need to make boxer shorts for girls’.”
She expanded on her plans for comfy clothes in an interview with WWD, adding: “We’re all going to work or college, and I want to wear something that’s comfortable for me that if I want to show some skin, I can, but if I’m feeling insecure that day, I want to be able to have an outfit that I can have as a go-to on and feel good in.
“It always starts from those thoughts. Is anyone else feeling like this? Maybe they are!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomi Campbell wants to see more female designers in the fashion industry.
The 53-year-old supermodel was recently given the honour of closing Sarah Burton’s final show as creative director of Alexander McQueen and Naomi says it meant a lot to her because Sarah is one of very few women who have managed to make it big.

I will always stand up for Sarah and the female designers I’ve worked with, like Donatella [Versace].”
After walking the runway for Sarah’s final show, Naomi posted a sweet tribute to her on Instagram and declared the brand’s late founder Lee Alexander McQueen would have been proud.
She wrote: “What HONOR to close a chapter of excellence with Sarah Burton SS24 … You are not only amazing creative , you are an exceptional wife , mother and most loyal friend … with the purest heart. This is not goodbye this is THE BEGINNING OF AN ERA OF SARAH BURTON.

The 25-year-old social media star is expecting her first child with husband Elliot Grainge and she’s insisted she won’t be buying a whole new wardrobe that will only last for a few months – insisting she will adapt by investing in clothes that are a size bigger than usual but she’ll continue to use most of her regular staples.
She told America’s Vogue magazine: “I’m not really tapping into maternity wear at all, if anything, I’m just sizing up. I’m also not buying an entirely new wardrobe for this pregnancy.
“I’ve bought a few pairs of pants [trousers] in bigger sizes, but I’m wearing my same jackets, and sweaters, and trenches – I’m about to have some fun with it now that I can spread my wings and fly.”
Sofia is expecting a baby girl and she revealed she’s already been busy thinking up some stylish outfits for her. She added: “From the moment I found out I was pregnant, I have been going crazy online. I have so many ideas – just cute and girly.”
The model has also saved of designer pieces that she can eventually hand down to her little girl, explaining. “I’ve held onto things, and thought, ‘Oh my daughter will have this one day. I have a lot of little bags to pass down. I have a lot in mind.”
Sofia is still working on her baby’s outfits, but she’s already finished her nursery because she found out she was pregnancy as she was starting a major house renovation.
She explained: “My house is currently under renovation, so I’m not living there right now. We found out we were pregnant four days after we moved out of our [previous] house.
“We were supposed to have at least 12 months to do the renovation, so I said, ‘Listen, we have a deadline now.’ And because of that, I was able to fully customise the room. I’ve had a lot of fun playing with pastel pinks. Really bringing to life a little girl fantasy within a nursery.”

Ashley Graham will ‘not stop talking’ about being a plus-sized woman: ‘It’s not the norm yet!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Graham will “not stop talking” about being a plus-sized woman.
The 36-year-old supermodel has carved out a hugely successful career on the catwalk despite her curvier figure but admitted that some designers still refuse to work with her because of her size and will keep fighting until there is more diversity in the industry.
She told People: “There’s still some designers that have said, ‘Sorry, we can’t, we’re just not going to design something for a bigger body. Things have changed immensely in some ways and just have had a full stop in others. And that is why I’m not going to stop talking about my body and dressing people of larger sizes because it’s not a norm yet.”
Ashley has featured on the cover of top-selling magazines like Vogue, Glamour and Sports Illustrated over the course of her career but insisted that “not much” has actually changed in the design industry overall as she accused insiders of not being able to realise that there are several different body types.
She said: “That’s not a negative thing by any means, but it still is just where we are in society. If you look at the runways, not much has changed. If you look at designers, some of them are dressing different types of bodies, but it’s not the norm. It’s been this tiny crawl.
“Is it fatphobia? Is it that they’re scared to look like they have fallen into commercialism? Is it because they don’t have the capability to be able to understand what true grading is on different types of bodies when it comes to breast, belly, butt cellulite? I don’t know.”

Rachel Zelger reveals the Hollywood icon who inspires her makeup looks

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Zegler likes to take a “clean and easy” approach to her makeup.
The 22-year-old actress – who shot to fame when she landed the leading role in Steven Spielberg’s 2021 remake of ‘West Side Story – admitted that while she has been “very fortunate” to have worked with some of the top makeup artists in Hollywood, she is actually “horrible” at being aware of what it looks like when she has done it herself.
She told InStyle: “A lot of times, it’s the cleanest I can make it and the easiest to do. I’ve been very fortunate to work with amazing makeup artists who do my makeup for different events and galas and carpets and press tours.
” But when I’m just going out with my girls, it’s just what I can do in my bathroom mirror at 9:30 p.m.? What is going to feel the best on my skin? What is going to be the most comfortable for me? Plus, I touch my face a lot — I am horrible at being aware of my makeup, so I’ll rub my eye and realize I have mascara on. So it’s really all about what’s going to stay.”
The ‘Hunger Games’ star also revealed that she takes inspiration from Hollywood icons of the Golden Age when it comes to her looks and her biggest idol is ‘My Fair Lady’ actress Audrey Hepburn.
She said: “Audrey Hepburn is always on the Pinterest board. My stylist Sarah Tooley and I have a Pinterest board for every event that we have going on. On the one for West Side Story, in particular, there was a lot of Audrey Hepburn. We were really going for that Old Hollywood glamour because it’s a movie that originally came out in 1961. Audrey Hepburn was somebody who I feel very personally connected to, because she didn’t find herself very beautiful. She was told by a lot of people that she wasn’t when she was growing up. I feel so empathetic to her. She’s really number one on my list.”

Owen Wilson becomes ‘Chief Shampoo Officer’ for California Naturals

OHMYGOSSIP — Owen Wilson has become the Chief Shampoo Officer for California Naturals.
The ‘Loki’ actor, 55, landed the role at the company that promotes hair health, and released a ‘Get Ready With Me’ trailer to announce becoming an ambassador.
Speaking to People, he said: “I’m excited to weigh in on everything from the product pipeline (happily lending myself as a guinea pig for new formulas) to campaigns and bigger decisions about the company’s growth.”
Owen admitted that he left that his hair “enters a room” before he does and explained that the pressure he faces over his locks contributed to him wanting to work with California Naturals.
He said: “It does sometimes feel like my hair enters a room before I do… plus you add the expectation of blondes having more fun… and we’re talking about a lot of pressure on your shampoo and conditioner. Fortunately, California Naturals embraces that challenge and always seems to get the job done.
“It’s actually my first time endorsing a brand here in the US, and I guess we can’t take that decision lightly.
“I think people like a product that does what it says it’ll do, and a brand that’s doing good things and is led by good people. And luckily California Naturals has all of those qualities.
“Becoming a hair influencer was not necessarily on my career wishlist, but I’m proud to add it to my CV.”
The ‘Cars’ star was asked what movie look he was most proud of, to which he revealed ‘Zoolander’ to be his “career hair high”.
He said: “I’d say ‘Zoolander’ was a career hair high, as far as its performance out-shining my own. It’s interesting to look back and see how the creative direction from stylists can really lend itself to a role: The slicked back look in ‘Grand Budapest Hotel’, the buzz cut in ‘Bottle Rocket’. Hats off to these pros who can essentially create a costume with a comb!”

Dolly Parton on why she wore tiny shorts for NFL game: ‘I only wear things I think I can pull off!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Dolly Parton only wears outfits she thinks she can “pull off”.
The 78-year-old country music legend famously donned a Dallas Cowgirl cheerleader outfit for a halftime show at an NFL game in November 2023 and explained that she only did it for “fun” because she had never been to one of their matches before.
She told People: “I try not to get into anything I don’t think I can pull off, just like that little Dallas Cowgirl outfit. I really thought, well, I’m just going to do this for fun, because I mean, I’ve never been to one of their halftime shows, and they’re so famous, the girls.”
The ‘Jolene’ hitmaker has been married to Carl Thomas Dean since 1966 and admitted that her husband had his reserves over the outfit because of her age but joked that upon seeing her tiny shorts he eventually “got a kick” out of it as well.
She said: “All the guys love them, my husband included, and I kind of did it for him. I thought, well, if I can pull this off, it’ll be cute, and if not, then they’ll just think if some older woman did a stupid thing! I just thought it was cool, and it evidently was because it turned out to be a big sensation. And so, I may have a poster made, a pinup, and donate all the money to the Red Kettle.
“It turned out pretty cool and my husband liked it. He said, ‘Those shorts were a little too short.’ I said, ‘Jealous?’ And I said, ‘They weren’t as short as the other girls!’ He was just being funny. I think he thought — because everybody’s making a to-do over it — he thought, well, maybe you shouldn’t be showing your butt at that age. But anyway, he got a kick out of it too.”

The 56-year-old star – who is the daughter of late comedienne Joan Rivers – revealed that one of her friends gifted her with the red leather wallet ostensibly designed by Hermes Bearn, and believes it could be a “knock off” but pretends it is genuine anyway.
She told Us Weekly: “A girlfriend of mine gave [it] to me that may or may not be real. She bought it when she was on a vacation in a place where you can sometimes get really good knock offs, but I’ve had it for years. We pretend it’s real.”
Melissa also revealed that her everyday handbag is a Khaite tote bag given to her by her fiance but the present came after she got on friendly terms with a sales assistant in the store and got her to make contact with him so that hey would buy it for her.
She said: “My fiancé [Steve Mitchel] gave it to me, but let’s just say he had help. I saw it in a store that I go to all the time. I told my … do we call them sales associates? Now I call her Flor. I said to Flor, ‘I want this. Text Steve.’ So, he follows instructions. That’s really good!”
One accessory currently in her tote back is a brand new pair of Chanel Oval Sunglasses but she still has the tag on whilst she decides if she actually likes them or would rather return them.
She said: “I still have the tag still on so I can decide if I want to return them. For me, [they’re] very out there.

Selfridges boss explains how Harry Styles has ‘evolved’ with his fashion choices

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Styles uses fashion as his “superpower”, according to a top industry boss.
Bosse Myhr is Selfridges’ director of menswear and explained that the pop megastar – who shot to fame as part of One Direction in 2010 and now has a globally renowned career in his own right – is never afraid to make his own “radical” style choices.
He told OK! Magazine: “Harry embodies a very British sense of style that has evolved through a process of self-expression and creativity as we’ve grown up with him. His playful experimentation with clothes is his fashion superpower. It goes without saying he isn’t afraid to try something radical.”
Despite being known for his eye-catching fashion choices, the ‘As It Was’ previously insisted he doesn’t think of himself as a style pioneer.
He said: “It’s funny because I don’t think of myself that way [as a style icon] … but bringing people together is the thing I’m most proud of.
“[At the shows] I get kind of a front-row seat to see a bunch of people getting in a room together and just being themselves. Not coming to the front of the stage, because they’re hanging out at the back, dancing like nobody’s watching. Having the most basic version of a good time. Humans interacting and accepting each other.
“A room full of people just loving each other is so powerful.”
However, Harry has also previously admitted that he does not believe in the notion of being “overdressed” and noted that late pop legends Freddie Mercury and David Bowie were amongst his fashion idols.
He told Vogue: “You can never be overdressed. I think if you get something that you feel amazing in, it’s like a superhero outfit.”

Chloe Sevigny has French sense of style

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloe Sevigny thinks her sense of style is very French.
The 46-year-old actress – who was born in the US to a Polish-American mother and a father of French-Canadian heritage – thinks she is less worries about “appearances and perfection” than her countrywomen because she prefers a more “natural” look.
Asked apart from her name, what is the most French thing about her, Chloe told France’s Vogue magazine: “My blood, although that goes back a long way.
“Perhaps that would be my sense of style. I feel like I am less concerned with appearances and perfection than my compatriots are. I tend to be more natural …
“Oh, I know! Like the French, I’m very good at letting go. They’ve preserved that cafe culture that we don’t have in America. Here, it’s all, ‘Go, go, go!’ from morning to night.
“When I stay in France, I can sit chatting with friends for hours… and I’m very happy doing so.”
Chloe has always “obsessed” over the costumes her characters are given in her projects but thinks that attention to detail has helped her when it comes to directing.
Asked how acting has helped with directing, she said: “Firstly, because I know how to communicate with actors naturally, given that we work in the same profession.
“Secondly, I have lots of small obsessions. I’ve always been obsessed with my costumes, my props… and I’ve always wanted to know what was going on on a set. I admire the actors who just let others around them manage everything else and concentrate solely on their performance. I’ve often been advised to do the same.”
The ‘Russian Doll’ actress also lamented the lack of “humour” in the modern world and thinks people are too worried about offending others to relax.
She said: “The other day, someone asked me what my current greatest wish was, and I answered, ‘More humour!’
” I dream of outrageous, hilarious talk shows, with great wit à la Truman Capote. But it’s as if there’s no room for that anymore.
“These days, people are so on edge… Everyone is so careful not to offend anyone.
“And it’s a pity there’s no room for eccentricity anymore, don’t you think?”

Pamela Anderson and sons acquire Sonsie

OHMYGOSSIP — Pamela Anderson wants people to “accept” their skin as it is.
The 56-year-old actress and her sons Brandon and Dylan – who she has with ex-husband Tommy Lee – have acquired skincare brand Sonsie and she admitted she became a fan of the firm because of its messaging not to try and “fix” the complexion but to embrace self-acceptance.
She told Vogue.com: “It’s about accepting yourself where you are right now. All of us have tried all sorts of different things—your friends are doing it, then you’re doing it.
“But I just came to a point where I felt like, ‘This is it. I just want to do me, keep my skin hydrated, and look after myself, but I don’t want to have to think about tomorrow. I want to think about right now. Live and how I feel in this moment.’”
Pamela has always wanted to “challenge beauty”.
She said: “I think that it’s always been part of my journey to challenge beauty.
“That’s what I like about Sonsie. It’s not false promises, it’s self-acceptance of yourself and where you are in this moment. Not beating yourself up about something, but just feeling a little more free.”
The former ‘Baywatch’ star has had multiple offers over the years to get involved with a beauty firm but she “couldn’t” allow herself to associate with something that generated so much plastic waste.
Pamela – who also liked the brand’s vegan ethos – said: “Ever since the Baywatch days. But it just always felt like too much plastic. Whether it was shampoo or a pet line, or beauty more recently, all I could see was the plastic waste and I couldn’t do it.
“[Sonsie] just made the most sense to me out of all of the options in front of me.”

Stella McCartney launching skin supplement

OHMYGOSSIP — Stella McCartney is launching a skin supplement.
The 52-year-old fashion designer set up her own skincare brand just over a year ago and now she’s branching out into edibles, with the Alter-Care Supplement having been in the works for two-and-a-half years and created with her cruelty-free ethics and clean beauty approach in mind.
She told WWD: “I’ve always been interested in the relationship between good nutrition and skin health, which is why I wanted to incorporate an edible skin supplement into my skin care range.
“It took a while to create the perfect formula and to propose something different in the beauty industry.
“There aren’t that many brands, at least none that I’m aware of, that have created skin supplements using only vegan, 100 percent natural-origin ingredients and which are supported with strong clinical results.”
The supplement – which is also gluten and GMO-free and costs £60 from Space NK and Stella’s own beauty website – includes a patented complex called Ceramosides, which helps protect against premature ageing and prevents collagen destruction and Stella has insisted visible results will be detected after a month.
She said: “As with everything I do, I wanted to create something that was natural and cruelty-free but didn’t compromise on results. After taking my Alter-Care Supplements for 30 days, the skin will see a 25 percent improvement in skin elasticity; wrinkles will appear 24 percent less visible and hydration will increase by 23 percent.”
And when taken in addition to using her Alter-Care Serum, Stella claimed the results are “intensified”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian has become a new brand ambassador for Balenciaga.
The 43-year-old beauty has taken to social media to announce her new partnership with the luxury fashion house.
Kim wrote in her statement: “For several years now, Balenciaga’s designs have been a part of my many looks – and some of my most iconic fashion moments. This historic fashion house embraces modernity, craftsmanship and takes an innovative approach to design under Demna.”
Kim has actually been aligned with the brand for a number of years, and she recently appeared in Balenciaga’s campaign for the company’s upcoming summer collection.
She said: “For me, this long-standing relationship is built on mutual trust and a commitment to doing what’s right. I’m excited about this next chapter for the brand and to become their ambassador.”
The fashion house came under fire in 2023, when a campaign showed children holding teddies in bondage costumes.
Balenciaga subsequently issued an apology for the campaign.
The company said in a statement: “We stand for children’s safety and well-being.”
Meanwhile, Kim has enjoyed significant success with her SKIMS clothing brand, which she launched in 2018.
Despite this, the brunette beauty previously admitted that her talents are centred in “marketing”.
Kim – who has developed a huge following on social media during her career – told Interview magazine: “I think my talent is marketing and the business behind selling products and knowing what the customer wants and making it feel attainable, but also a bit unattainable at the same time.
“I wouldn’t say that’s a talent. I think it’s a bit of magic and business savvy. Maybe it is talent, I don’t know.”

Hailey Biebier names Kate Moss as her beauty muse

OHMYGOSSIP — Hailey Bieber thinks Kate Moss will always be her beauty “muse”.
The 27-year-old beauty admitted the legendary supermodel has always been a fixture on her moodboards because she thinks she is so “magnetic” and her “effortless” look has never been out of place.
Asked who is on her beauty moodboard, she told Harper’s Bazaar magazine: “I am constantly saving photos of Kate Moss. There’s something that I feel is so magnetic about her and her beauty.
“She has transcended multiple periods of time.
“I just love the unevenness of her look. You know, so effortless, so carefree.
“She’s forever going to be a muse for sure.”
Hailey finds it “flattering” that she’s a beauty inspiration to other people.
Asked how it feels to be on so many other people’s moodboards, she said: “It’s very flattering. To be able to connect with other people through beauty or clothing or hair, whatever it may be, is really fun.
“I’ve really enjoyed submerging myself into this beauty community.
“There are so many amazing people on TikTok and Instagram and so many amazing creators that I’ve been able to meet and to talk to.
“Even just watching their videos to see how they use their creativity and their point of view has impacted me in a lot of ways.”
Meanwhile, the Rhode Skin founder – who is married to Justin Bieber – is keen to take “more risks” with her own appearance.
She said: “I’d like to take more risks with beauty and make-up and explore a little bit more. I’m at the point where I know what works for me; I have my basic, day-to-day, everyday glam nailed down.
“So I’d love to push it forward in the new year and have more fun with it and try more things. Just explore. I really felt like I started to do that last year and it was so much fun.”

Halsey wanted toddler-proof foundation

OHMYGOSSIP — Halsey wanted to create a foundation that could “withstand grabby toddler hands and kisses”.
The 29-year-old singer – who has a two-year-old son with former partner Alev Aydin – wanted The Performer, her About-Face brand 45-shade range of make-up, to be durable and long-lasting based on her own everyday experiences of life with a young child.
She told Vogue.com: “I touch my face a lot.
“I’m doing it right now! I also have a two-year-old son, and he’s a big face toucher, too. And I’m too soft of a mom to say ‘Don’t touch my face [because I have make-up on],’ so I needed something that could withstand grabby toddler hands and kisses from a toddler mouth, too.”
During the testing phase, Halsey wore the foundation during one of her gigs and was amazed at just how well the product worked.
She said: “I tested this formula out during a show.
“When I walked off stage after two hours of singing and sweating, I took a selfie. Normally, at that point in the night I’m like ‘Nobody look at me, I need to take this make-up off’ but that was how I knew.”
“This is not a brand where we’re selling you the idea that you have something wrong with your face or something to correct about it or alter in any way.”
The ‘Bad At Love’ hitmaker refused to let being a mother stop her from being adventurous with her appearance.
She said: “I made a really concerted effort to not [change my relationship with beauty after my son was born].
“I could come home in a full cyber-goth, black batwing eyeliner with black lipstick and black contact lenses, and my son sees right through it. He just sees his mom.”
