Millie Mackintosh's pre-A/W 17 inspired by her 'youth'

OHMYGOSSIP — Millie Mackintosh’s new pre-Autumn/Winter 2017 collection was inspired by her “youth”.
The 27-year-old television personality and fashion designer – who founded her eponymous clothing line in 2014 – has revealed she is currently working to re-launch her brand in June this year, and has revealed her creations have been influenced by her childhood and the area of Wiltshire where she grew up.
Speaking in a Facebook Live interview with Glamour UK, the golden haired beauty said: “I have been working towards a re-launch of the brand with my pre-Fall collection coming out in June. So, I’ve actually gone very in-house with my team. I have got my own design studio for the first time.
“And it’s all gone back to my youth, and where I grew up, influences from where I grew up, and my childhood and it’s really personal to me. And I’ve got print designers coming in and have done lovely prints of flowers from the village where I grew up.
“We are working towards launching that.”
And the former ‘Made In Chelsea’ star is set to unveil her Spring/Summer 2017 range for her line next month, which she has teased features various patterns.
She explained: “My Spring collection is going to be out in the next month or two. It’s got gingham, it does make me think of tablecloths, but I love it. There’s gingham, there’s spots and stripes.”
Although Millie has claimed she has a “modern British feminine” style, she has revealed she loves a “print clash” and once wore a pair of coloured fishnet tights, which she was “obsessed” with, underneath ripped jeans and accessorised with a pair of kitten heels that she has admitted wasn’t very “classy”.
She said: “I love a print clash. I always look to Olivia Palermo, I haven’t quite mastered it yet but I think she is the Queen of a print clash.
“I like to wear high waist because I always like something that will go in at the waist and get definition there.
“I wouldn’t wear a dropped waist. But I feel like it holds me in and I like that feeling.
“But I used to be really obsessed with fishnet tights, [worn] with mini dresses, and not worn in a very classy way. I even had a really ripped pair of jeans, I wore with green fish nets and kitten heels. I don’t think anyone was ready for it when I wore it at boarding school.”

Victoria Beckham reminds younger self to brush her hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham has told her younger self to always make an effort with her appearance.
The 42-year-old fashion designer – who has been married to former England football captain David Beckham since 1999 – has penned a letter to her 18-year-old self in which she vowed to “never” let herself go, to brush her hair and teeth “at least”, and to always tame her eyebrows.
In the note, which has been obtained by Vogue.co.uk, the brunette beauty – who has sons Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and five-year-old daughter Harper with her spouse – wrote: “Dear Victoria,
“I know you are struggling right now. You are not the prettiest, or the thinnest, or the best at dancing at the Laine Theatre Arts college.
“You have bad acne. Your complexion will sort itself out (in fact you will launch your own make-up brand); as soon as the Eighties are over, your perm will die down, and your weight will settle itself. Instead, learn to embrace your imperfections – that is what I want to tell you. Let your skin breathe; wear less make-up. (And don’t ever let that make-up artist shave your eyebrows! The effects last forever.)
“[But] never let yourself go completely (at least brush your hair, clean your teeth, have a bit of a brow going on because you will always want him to look at you and feel attracted).”
And the style icon predicted she will have “so much fun” with her outfit choices over the years, although she will not realise some ensembles will be “ridiculous” and will leave her looking like a “drag queen”.
She explained: “You are going to have so much fun with your clothes – PVC catsuits; chokers that say absurd things; weird spiky blonde hair. It will never occur to you that you appear ridiculous. You will turn up at awards ceremonies resembling a drag queen.
“You will always be addicted to Elnett hairspray but you will tone it down. Less of the ‘Hello! I just got stuck in a wind tunnel’, please.”
However, Victoria – who was also known as Posh Spice when in the Spice Girls – has requested herself not to look back on her attire in embarrassment but to laugh when she reflects on her fashion faux pas.
She continued: “But I look back at you and smile. It will add interest to your life to go from one extreme to another. I love the fact that you will feel free to express yourself.”

Jessica Alba will never apply mascara on the go

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Alba has vowed never to apply mascara in the car after having a beauty mishap.
The 35-year-old actress – who co-founded her non-toxic brand The Honest Company in 2012 – has admitted she doesn’t always “commit” to applying lashings of the beauty product on her eyelashes, and will not use the cosmetic item when she is on the go and in the car driving her eight-year-old twin daughters Honest and Haven because she has previously poked her eye in the process.
Speaking about the calamity, the brunette beauty – who is married to Cash Warren – said: “I don’t always commit to a mascara, especially if I am in the car driving with the kids, because I have been known to poke my eye, and it is not fun.”
And the ‘Into The Blue’ star has revealed she doesn’t like to spend any longer than 20 minutes on her daily beauty routine, and relies on only two products a concealer and a blusher.
She explained: “I don’t like to spend more than 20 minutes. I am a 20-minute girl.
“I need concealer for sure and a cheek. I actually always bring my concealer duo with me even if I am at a Fashion show.
“I always get a little red around my nose, that’s like my thing.”
And Jessica has revealed she “totally” wears make-up from her own label because she designed the items with her needs in mind, and has even dabbed some of her products on her friends when she noticed they were looking a little worse for wear.
Speaking in a Facebook Live video on the Honest Beauty social media account, she said: “I developed basically my dream products, so I totally wear my own make-up every day.
“For example, one of my friends Derek Blasberg, who was sitting next to me at the Tory Burch show, was looking a little rough around the edges, so I used the concealer duo on him and he looked fresh as a daisy instantly.”

We are different colors. We are beautiful inside and out. We are kind. We are brave. We are vulnerable. We are flawed. We are perfect. We are worth it. And we each have a story to tell. Which is why I was so moved by the ‘Your Skin, Your Story’ campaign. It’s a beautiful illustration that we are in this together. And we are listening to one another and celebrating each other for both our similarities, and our differences. Now THAT’S beautiful.” -Me 🙂 #worthsharing #truematch (sic).”
Blake took to social media to share a link of her talking about the product and in the footage the star admitted she likes to give the illusion she is not wearing any make-up when she is, although she has revealed she doesn’t like to don a face full of cosmetic products.
Speaking in the clip, she said: “I am from Southern California. I am English, Irish and Cherokee, so my family is from all over. To look back over my heritage and see where my family has come from is neat.
“I like when I’m wearing to make-up to look like I’m not wearing make-up, I like not wearing much, so this is just something that complements and enhances your natural beauty without adding a mask on top of it. My true match is W3 and I’m worth it.”

Boy George stars in new Dior Homme campaign

OHMYGOSSIP — Boy George has joined forces with Dior Homme.
The 55-year-old singer – who is known for his eccentric fashion sense – has teamed up with the French designer brand and stars in their new campaign, which was photographed by Willy Vanderperre.
And the ‘Karma Chameleon’ hitmaker – whose real name is George Alan O’Dowd – was selected to be the face of the commercial by the brand’s creative director Kris Van Assche, 40, because he was considered a “major influence” on the fashion designer and his generation.
Speaking to WWD about their partnership with the former ‘The Voice’ judge, the Belgian fashion designer said: “Boy George, when I was a kid, was one of the first to have this message about difference being okay; he was such a major influence on my generation. That idea of freedom and being a rebel – which he still is – is really something that has stayed with me.”
And the creative mastermind has revealed he tried to achieve a campaign about all forms of art including fashion, film and music.
Speaking about his inspiration, Kris continued: “I really tried to translate what I think Dior Homme is right now. It’s about music, it’s about cinema, it’s about fashion … It’s about a certain memory I have of the 80s that remains very much relevant for 2017.”
The musician has shared a string of images from the campaign on his social media, which sees him adorn his signature accessory staple and a tailored suit laden with badges.
He captioned the Instagram posts: “Even better with the logo @dior @diorhomme@paul_kemsley_pk @doritkemsley
“@dior@boygeorgeofficial #Style #2017#Fashion #beauty -#rebels
“@Dior@boygeorgeofficial @paul_kemsley_pk@doritkemsley (sic).”
Boy George is joined by 35-year-old actor Rami Malek, rapper A$AP Rocky and model Ernest Klimko, who also star in the fashion campaign.
